My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Neal Kreuser Photography for our recent wedding, and we could not be more satisfied with the way he handled every aspect of the photography. We felt a connection with Neal almost right away, during our initial consultation. We had lots of questions, but never felt rushed or pressured.
One of Neal’s biggest strengths (apart from his skill with the camera) is his down to earth personality. In a different context, this would be a guy who you would want to have a beer with. At the same time, he exudes professionalism and confidence in his work.
He knows his stuff, especially concerning lighting. He knows how to capture the sunset in a way that makes the picture pop and sparkle. It’s just on another level.
One of the things that really sets Neal apart is his willingness to do *whatever it takes* to get the perfect shot. There were at least two occasions where Neal almost killed himself - literally - because he was so focused on getting that angle. During our engagement photos, it was so hot Neal burned a hole through his jeans while lying on the asphalt for a good ground-up shot, but he never complained. Shortly afterwards, summer monsoons rolled in bringing torrential rain. This almost jeopardized the 2nd half of the shoot but Neal was willing to keep going anyway, taking possibly the best shots of the day.
Personality-wise, Neal is a joker. We enjoyed him being silly in order to get people to smile. His jokes made us laugh, even when they were blatantly (and intentionally) corny. If you are looking for someone who is very formal and proper, there is nothing wrong with that, but just know that’s not Neal’s natural state.
As for communication, Neal was always prompt to respond to any questions or concerns. Occasionally, there was a small delay, but it was never a problem. We couldn’t expect him to be answering texts while he is in the middle of a shoot or on his day(s) off. It did not ever take repeated texts or calls to get a question answered - he would always reply. Just don’t expect instantaneous replies every time. To be clear, the communication was excellent overall.
Neal was also extremely flexible and adaptable to our wants and needs. If we wanted to do an extra location for the engagement photos, he was cool with it. If we needed to change a date or time, he was cool with it. We never got the impression that he was feeling put out or annoyed. He’s really good at going with the flow.
We also received our photos extremely quickly, within a week or two at the most. It is possible to view your photos online, and then select which ones you’d like to have professionally retouched.
Finally, value for the money. You can’t do better. There is simply no way. Neal told us he wants his services to be affordable for the average guy, not just the rich. Could he charge more? Honestly, we think he could and it would be justified. But that goes against some of his core beliefs, which to us apart from saving money, also impressed us in terms of character. You really get a lot for your money, and there is literally no sacrifice for the savings. 5 stars here.
So, overall - talk to Neal and at least put him on your short list for photographers for your event. We had several people ask who our photographer was so they could see if he was available for their special occasions. We loved working with Neal and he made it fun the entire time. Thank you Neal! -

Neal helped make our wedding as great as it was. His attitude and professionalism are fantastic! When he first arrived in the room where the groom, father, and groomsmen were, he helped the process. Since no one in the room had experience with boutonnieres before he spoke up and said he could put on our boutonnieres on for us. He had us pose, in what felt like hilarious poses, for pictures and they are beautiful. The care and flexibility that he has is amazing. I will forever refer him to people in the future. -

Neal is simply and absolutely the best photographer around! If you are looking for a wedding photographer for your special day, look no further. No other photographer can compare to the service, quality and professionalism that Neal offers in all of his work. Neal's images are one of a kind as I am sure you can already tell by just looking at his portfolio in comparison to others. We also picked the package that came with two photographers and his partner did an amazing job as well. You will not be disappointed! All of our guests were amazed on how quick they were able to upload a slideshow of the ceremony pictures during cocktail hour as well as the reception. Our guests mentioned that they enjoyed Neal and his partner's personality as they made everyone feel very welcoming and fit right into the crowd. They also mentioned that they have never seen this done before at other weddings so it definitely stood out! We will definitely be hiring Neal again in future events. He will definitely catch the perfect images for your wedding for you and your spouse to enjoy for the many years to come! -

So talented
Neal is amazing! I can not say enough good things about him. Neal was so patient and accommodating with us, as we had to postpone our first wedding and then change venues. Neal is so easy to work with. Both myself and my husband hate to take pictures but Neal found a way to make it fun and enjoyable for us. We love how our pictures turned out. We can not thank Neal enough for all he has done for us. Highly recommend Neal and would totally use him again. Thank you Neal! -

Neal is PHENOMENAL. Our March 2020 wedding was scaled way back due to COVID, which meant working with all the vendors on last minute changes. Neal was professional, responsive, and reassuring from day one -- and through our last-minute stress. Just what we needed!
I'm so lucky to have found a photographer like Neal. His work is beyond beautiful and unique and his personality is just amazing. He definitely knows what to do and guides you through to make sure he meets your needs. We had him to cover our wedding for 7 hrs and WOW this guy is absolutely creative! We never felt worried nor doubt him. His work speaks for itself. He works with multiple cameras to make sure he captures the best moments and oh man he didn't miss any single details. He had our pictures ready in less than 2 weeks and we totally loved them. He has so much experience which projects on what he does and just comes out naturally. I can't believe how comfortable we felt with him. We recommend him 100%. He is great to communicate with and he is very professional. He is very punctual and he's got a great sense of humor. We couldn't have asked for more. If there was 10 stars we could mark for his work he would definitely get them from us! Thank you so much Neal you are absolutely AMAZING!

He gave great advice on timing for the ceremony to capture the best lighting. Some of my friends waited months for their photos with other photographers and we got ours the next day! We really enjoyed having Neil as our wedding photographer! He did an incredible job of moving through a huge list of photographs to take of our extended family. He was very reliable and did not add any additional stress to the day. He even made taking pictures fun! He’s so funny! He sent us a link of all of the photos he took within 24 hours of the wedding. At the wedding, he even projected some of the pictures up on a screen for us! Neither of us are good at posing for pictures, but he knew how to coach us to get the best shots! We highly recommend Neil as a photographer for your special event. -

Neal Kreuser Photography is absolutely amazing! We scheduled our wedding at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch and they recommended Neal as one of their preferred vendors. We interviewed several people for the job and are so glad that we chose Neal. He arrived early and took every picture that we wanted and more. Neal helped keep our schedule running smoothly from our letters to each other and first look straight through dinner and our first dance. Neal sets everyone at ease, is friendly, and brings jokes and fun to his profession. Because of his lighthearted and fun side, he was able to get genuine smiles and capture the happiness of the day. He is able to do this while at the same time producing incredible photographs that are a work of art. His technical skill is evident in his work but that does not explain how fun he is to have at the wedding.
It blew us away that he provided over 1600 photos the very next day after our wedding. Most of which require no editing whatsoever which is something we have never experienced even with a number of professional photographers we have worked with over the years. Neal is outstanding because he truly knows his equipment and what poses really work for whatever size group you have. It seemed so effortless for him to produce simply exquisite work. I am sure it helped that he knew the location so well, but we truly believe he would produce exceptional work wherever he is. Neal knew exactly where to take pictures for perfect backgrounds and how to balance the light in the pictures to make art that will be a focal point in our home forever.

We knew we wanted to work with Neal Kreuser when we first met him. We loved his pictures and really appreciated his approach and attitude at our meet and greet; and signed a contract with him at our first meeting. Our engagement photos were incredible. We had so many great options to choose from.
Day of wedding Neal put everyone at ease. He got amazing candid shots, and beautiful real smiles from our entire group. He and his second shooter seemed to be everywhere throughout the day - in fact guests asked how many photographers we had on site. The best was the slideshow that people watched during the reception from the preceremony and ceremony.
We recommend Neal not only because of the great experience we had, but also the beautiful pictures he took, and the creativity we shared throughout the process. -

Lisa Sent on 03/19/2018If there is one decision that means more than almost anything else, it's photography. Do yourself a favor and choose Neal for your wedding. He is, by far, the best around. He came highly recommended by our venue owner. Once I saw his work, I knew he was the right choice. Neal met with us beforehand to get an idea of who we were and what we wanted. We did our engagement shoot with him up on Mount Lemmon. He got there extra early to find the best spots for backdrops. He was so much fun to work with! He made sure he captured everything we wanted and then sent us the proofs that night! They were amazing! I thought I wouldn't like any of them as I usually hate photos of myself but I could barely narrow them down! Then, come wedding day, he impressed us again. He and his friend, Ken, shot the wedding. They were both so incredible! They shot everything we wanted, without being intrusive. They were so friendly to everyone and made us all feel comfortable in front of the camera. I had so many people come up to me during the wedding, complimenting him and even more people since the wedding. He's great with kids, great with people who don't like photos, great with everyone! And best yet, he's extremely efficient which is exactly what we wanted. You don't want to spend your whole night away from your guests, taking photos. And, Neal even manages to edit and create a slideshow for display during your reception. The guests LOVE this! Such a bonus! Okay, finally, his work is undeniably remarkable. He's got such an eye for detail, he's creative and he is a perfectionist with his work. He will make sure you get exactly what you want out of your wedding photos. I cannot recommend him enough!

As soon as we met we knew he was the photographer for us! From our engagement photos to the day of the wedding Neal was very professional but still had a fun and entertaining side! He gets down and dirty to get that perfect photo for you! We were running out of light for the wedding and we were running around like crazy but Neal got those perfect shots we were looking for! Our families loved working with him and would recommend him 100% for any photography needs!
