Absolutely Wonderful!

I do not have enough words to express how wonderful Musical Edge was as our DJ! Kyle was extremely professional and super easy to work with. My husband and I had our dream wedding this weekend and Kyle made kept people on the dance floor all night!

Kyle was an awesome DJ and super easy to work with!! He did an amazing job and had the dance floor packed the whole night! I haven't been to a wedding where the dance floor was that busy the whole time.

Josh was excellent! He was so helpful in putting our timeline together for the reception and made everything run smoothly on the day of! He was also very patient with our rowdy wedding party and my last minute song changes! ?? He did a great job keeping the crowd on the dance floor! I would definitely recommend him for your event!

Chris was absolutely amazing! Our dance floor was packed the whole night and he was very accommodating with the flow of events throughout the night. Chris also did a wonderful job providing music during our ceremony. We really appreciate all he did for us!

Kyle was the best! Even in the worst scenario of the venue air conditioning breaking which slowed down the dance floor, Kyle was able to ramp the party back up and the night was awesome! Would recommend to anyone!!

Chris Powell was the DJ for our ceremony/reception. He was eager to listen to our personal needs yet was able to help us through our day by playing what he felt would fit best. Chris would check in to see if we needed anything and also helped coordinate timelines for events throughout. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was a huge relief knowing we could count on him to keep the crowd engaged.

We could not have asked for a better DJ service. The guys were extremely professional and helpful all night long.
We didn't imagine having such an involved crowd on the dance floor all night long - we had to extend our reception another 2.5 hours because these guys kept the party going!

Best DJ- EVER!! Not only was Kyle professional but also went out of his way to get a feel for the guests and their musical preferences. He added style, creativity and fun to our experience during the reception. Musical edge has an AMAZING selection of music and lighting options; one of the best choices we made as part of our wedding planning.

Chris was outstanding! We could not have asked for a better experience with our DJ. He was positive, outgoing, organized, professional and extremely easy to work with. We highly recommend working with this business - they know their stuff and the online forms make it extremely easy to organize your playlists etc when it's convenient for you. Chris personalized everything and checked in throughout the night to make sure we were happy - and we couldn't have been happier. We really can't say enough. Kyle was AWESOME! Played everything we asked, all our requests, mics worked great. Shooting weddings we've been to some just interesting receptions and Kyle knocked ours out of the park! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Kept the music going all night, everyone could actually hear out outdoor ceremony and he didn't miss a beat. Friendly and cooperative. I absolutely loved Musical Edge. I first met them at a bridal fair and from day 1 you could tell they were interested in helping their brides. From the little tips they provide at bridal fairs to their free wedding planning advice and online planning tools, I couldn't have been more happy. They kept everyone at our party up and moving and created a great atmosphere.

I found Musical Edge on a wedding website and began speaking with Kyle. He was super nice, responsive, and answered all my questions. He booked Jesse to DJ the wedding, who too was super sweet. He was able to accommodate any change/addition/request the whole night. I liked everything he played and know the guests thought the same thing. As a whole, they really put my mind at ease during the entire process. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone!

Our DJ (Wade) was very professional and easy to work with. He was able to work with us with all of our requests for our reception. His choice of music was exactly what you would look for to keep all ages happy and dancing until the end of the party. I would gladly recommend Musical Edge to anyone!

Pete was a Pro's pro. There were a lot of ups and downs and issues to contend with on our wedding day, and he handled it all with grace and class and ease. The music was excellent, the audio was perfect, and he communicated very well prior to and during the event. Although they were honestly not our first choice for DJ services, my wife and I both feel very fortunate to have worked with Pete for our wedding. He was great!

We could not have asked for a better DJ! Pete and Kyle were so wonderful to work with! The lighting they did was amazing and honestly was beyond my expectations! The music was perfectly timed. Pete read the crowd and was great at matching the music to the mood and it kept people dancing. We also had a mishap at our wedding and Kyle went above and beyond to help out, which was definitely not in his job description! I'm so grateful that they made our wedding so special and I highly suggest that any couple who wants an awesome DJ to book them! Our friends keep telling me how much they loved the music and lighting! Thank you!!!

Not only was Musical Edge easy to work with, they also knew what they were doing. After meeting Kyle, my husband and I knew we had chosen the right DJ. He worked with us to get the exact songs we wanted during the ceremony. We were a little nervous because we were quite particular about the songs during dinner. We had picked out about 30 for him to use during that section of the night. We thought we might get an eye-roll in response, but instead Kyle was very willing to play them all. If we had to choose again, we wouldn't have it any other way but Musical Edge!

We were drawn to Musical Edge because of their past experience inside the ballroom at the Community Choice Credit Union. With their knowledge of lighting and sound in the venue, we thought they would be a great choice and addition to our celebration.

Kyle did an incredible job from beginning to end with lighting and sound. He listened to our family/friends and played requests shortly after the song had been requested, yet never played anything on our "Do Not Play List."

We really believe that a DJ can make or break your Wedding reception. Kyle exceeded everything we wanted in a DJ and provided the complete package. From the grooms dance with his mother (that was planned with Kyle within 10 minutes of execution) to mixing in the perfect amount of slow songs throughout the night, we have been told often that our DJ was "AWESOME" or "AMAZING." The whole night was a great memory for us both!

We had an amazing reception with Kyle and Musical Edge! Kyle helped our whole reception run smoothly from start to finish! The online planning tools worked amazing, and guided us through every part of our reception. Kyle contacted us several times before our big day to go over details to save us from stressing about music and reception details! Kyle kept the dance floor packed the entire evening and I have not heard one bad comment from anyone about the music and reception! Kyle was our DJ for my daughter's wedding. We did all of the planning ourselves and had so many small special details that we wanted to incorporate and he assured us that all of the details for the reception would be taken care of by him. The best part, I really believed him, and enjoyed myself instead of having to worry. Their website software was awesome and we could keep adding information without having to call him. There were 240 guests and he had atleast 60-80 guests on the dance floor the whole evening. There were about 60 dancers on the floor when we turned the lights on at 11:00pm. I have been to many weddings, and have never seen so many people dance the whole night long. The dance floor actually shifted more than a foot! He was very professional and all the music was appropriate for our guests. We had a wide range of age groups and there were no offensive songs. His lighting was MAGNIFICENT and BEAUTIFUL! Very classy and modern! I would recommend him for any event!!!! Thanks, Kyle!!!!!!

Kyle was extremely laid back and flexible, but also professional in everything he did. As soon as my husband and I booked him for the wedding, I knew that was one less thing I would have to worry about. Kyle made our day unforgettable! We absolutely love everything he did to make our wedding perfect. There were at least 80 people on the dance floor at all times! We literally tore the floor up--and it was all thanks to our DJ! He kept everything upbeat and moving from our arrival to the last song. The day would not have been the same without him. Selecting a DJ for a wedding reception is stressful because music has such an impact on the quality of the reception. Our DJ from Musical Edge was awesome. My husband and I had a non traditional wedding reception that had lots of music and dancing dispersed throughout the sit down dinner - and he did a really nice job making our vision come to life. He played just the kind of music we asked for and our guests were dancing all night long! Musical Edge also provided uplighting for our venue - and in just the right color blue. It truly transformed our space. Couldn't have asked for a better service!

After getting married in Mexico in February, my husband and I had a wedding reception in June. Our DJ, Chris Powell, did an amazing job catering to the crowd and to our requests. He was very nice, organized, and kept the reception running smoothly. We played cocktail music for the first half, and he did a great job with the selections, as well as with the modern music later in the night. Chris was great and we would definitely recommend him to any one. Thanks for making our night so special!

Kyle was very attentive on my wedding day, reviewing my schedule and asking questions to make sure the night ran smoothly. He was organized and outgoing, engaging guests and encouraging people to get out on the dance floor.

Kyle also did an excellent job evaluating the group of people attending our wedding and choosing music accordingly. He played a great mix of songs that brought all sorts of different people to the dance floor, both young and old. He also did a great job transitioning from one thing to the next, especially at the beginning of the night when we had the cake cutting, father/daughter dance, bouquet toss, etc. The DJ basically leads and guides the fluidity of the entire event and Kyle did this very well.

I was very pleased with Kyle's DJing skills and would definitely recommend Musical Edge to others.

Kyle was an amazing DJ. Very conscientious of the crowd and the mood and he rolled with the punches. The rain did not deter his performance and he was very accommodating to our wedding party. He fit right in with our group of wonderful friends and we cannot thank him enough for making our day that much more special.

If you're looking for the BEST - you have found him. Kyle Sacre was the DJ for our wedding on 5/24/2013. We had the ceremony as well as the reception at our home. I'm going to run on a little here but grammar be damned. Kyle was set up early providing music as our guests arrived, he provided the lapel microphone and speakers for our officiant, set up lighting for our reception tent, and most importantly started the party by filling the dance floor and kept it going all night long. When the rain came and our outdoor dance floor cleared - Kyle didn't miss a beat. He turned the lighting around and we danced in the garage. His selections were perfect and he was able to mix in our requests as well. This guy is second to none and has my complete recommendation for any event.

We really enjoyed this Dj at our wedding. He played the exact songs we asked for - and stayed away from the right songs we told him to stay away from. We loved every song and he was true to what we asked for. He knew when to ask me (the bride) if it was OK to play a song, and always played what me, the groom and our guests asked for. Perfect night. They were really fun and easy to work with. When it came time for the dance they blew it out of the water! They played songs we requested but also other similar music that kept everyone dancing all night. My wedding has been over for a month and we have guests come up to us and say what a great DJ/dance we had.

Our experience with Kyle at Musical Edge was amazing! He made our wedding so enjoyable and stress-free for us. The planning process was also great! He gave us an online planning system, where we could lay out the timeline for our reception, choose our dance songs, must/do not play, and additional request songs, plus so much more. This helped me stay on track while planning, and gave us suggestions for each of those categories. I also received reminder emails which were very helpful.

The day of the wedding, Kyle was a huge help! He arrived early to set up our uplighting (looked amazing!). When we arrived at the reception, our Kyle was there to greet us and check in to make sure we were still on our timeline. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, plus incredibly organized. The entire night went smoothly, he rolled with it when we got a little off schedule due to pictures going long/helped us get back on track, and made sure to consult with us throughout the night. From the first song of the dance, the floor was packed with people dancing. He played all our requested songs, plus listened to guests' requests.

In the early stages of planning, I had told a few of my friends that my biggest wedding fear was an empty dance floor and no one having fun at the reception. During the reception, those same friends stopped me and told me to look on the dance floor because they had never seen a floor that packed before. Kyle really knew how to keep the party moving, and I can't imagine a better DJ! I highly recommend him!

We really enjoyed working with Musical Edge for our DJ services at our wedding reception. We worked with Jesse and he did such a great job meeting with us beforehand and giving us online planning forms. Pricing is very fair and you really get everything they promise. We had some specfic things for Jesse to ensure happened at our reception & he did an outstanding job carrying out everything we asked! The lighting,monogram, and service was exeptional. The music was perfect with the genre we prefer. Also the flexibility of them with our band was awesome. Definitely worth the cost. If I ever have a party again this is our go to DJ.

I want to thank Musical Edge for all their help with our wedding and reception. Chris was a FANTASTIC DJ and I am definitely going to recommend him to anyone I know who is getting married. My sister used Musical Edge for her wedding a few years ago and they did a fantastic job! So I decided to use them for my wedding reception and was just as pleased! Very Professional throughout the entire process. We had purchased 14 up-lights for our event, and they really added a neat effect for the whole room!

Our DJ was courteous and professional. Had professional equipment, and a nice DJ mixing table, and crossfaded songs as requested. Was even able to find our "random" special requests we had.

Everyone commented positively on our entertainment and music. Was able to pretty much run the show with very little input from us. Which was great when we were so busy.

The online planning really made things go smoothly.

Musical Edge was absolutely the best choice for a DJ for our wedding reception- Wade was very professional and went out of his way to make our event a success! The music was great and had everyone dancing all night. Wade worked with us to make sure that he was playing music we wanted and that our guests would enjoy. He helped the night to run smoothly and was the perfect DJ for our event. I appreciate Musical Edge's history of working with the Iowa Events Center- their familiarity with the venue also helped everything to run smoothly and give us peace of mind. Great job playing the music we enjoy and keeping the crowd on the dance floor. The power cut out a couple times on the music but I know predicting the power supply at the location is a bit difficult. He was quick to remedy the problem and most people didn't even notice.

Pete was great, got all the music right and was very good about making sure I had what I wanted and didn't want. Was impressed with the continued communication with us throughout the evening. Very professional and nice.

Little disappointed with the uplighting... The colors were spot on and great, but they weren't maintained that well throughout the night. They got moved around a bit and got hidden behind things and no one ever bothered to go fix them until I just went and did it myself. Didn't create the amout of color I was hoping they would (very thin bands of light) so not sure it was worth the money. I did appreciate pete and Kyle working so hard to get the colors right, though.

Aryn and I both think that Wade did a fantastic job and was very professional. The music selection was great, his handling of the microphone and introductions/transitions were fantastic, and he was very good about keeping in touch with Aryn and I for the key moments in the wedding. We have nothing but good feedback on Wade's service that evening.

We do have two pieces of feedback we would like to offer from our experience. First, we reached out a couple times to try and get a scheduled meeting as things were getting pretty busy in the last week before our wedding. I know we have all discussed this and some communication got confused, so that issue is in the past and we are definitely happy with our interaction with Wade. Second, we are pretty bummed that the monogram wasn't available, especially after double-checking on it the week prior to the event and getting the thumbs up that it looks great and is ready to go. Wade quickly apologized when Aryn asked about it and promised a full refund, which I'm sure we will hear back from you in the coming days.

Update: We were contacted promptly and professionally regarding the monogram and Musical Edge made everything right with us. Regardless of this issue, we were very happy with the DJ services.

It was nice that the DJ took the time to meet with me in person. He was flexible scheduling that time. Be sure to let them know if you plan on going past midnight.

Everything went well for the most part. We had two songs with special instructions that did not get played, so that was disappointing. Otherwise, our DJ was very responsive and made sure to check with us on how we wanted to change things (as the ceremony went long). If we'd only had those two songs it'd have been perfect.

They did an awesome job keeping the party going. We had a baseball theme and helped us make that noticeable with our grand entrance and during announcements throughout the night. They definately knew who was paying the bill! Kept the bride and groom HAPPY!

Overall service was great! Chris did a really good job and was very professional. He tried to accomodate all requests the best he could. Internet access to download new songs would have been helpful and maybe start top 40 music a little earlier. i was just a little disappointed that Noah did not have sound set up in a way that everyone could hear dinner music, the room that was at opposite end could not hear music during the meal. Also there was not a lot of guidance without being asked like letting people know buffet style and how to have folks go up or when. Also did not ask about flower toss and garter toss until later and not as many people there so then we decided not to do it. I thought the music was great, and dance time was really good and fun.

Our DJ was great! I didn't need his approval everytime he strayed from our lists but understand some couples could be picky. So I would just suggest a better understanding knowing if the couple want to be bothered with the music or if they trust what it being played. We thought the music was great tho!

There was miscommunication on the day of the wedding and my husband and I did not remember the same as the DJ and, thus, some items were not as we would have wished in regards to dance/music. In addition, requests that we made for dedications were not announced as they said they would be.

The night of our wedding, this DJ service helped our reception be a good time for all. Almost all requested songs were played and our dance floor was always full of guests enjoying themselves. Noah helped keep things entertaining the night of our wedding. Leading up to this wedding was a completely different story. We were consistently ignored until both of our parents got involved with the DJ company. Better language is needed in the contract and the initial meeting that communication will be non-existent until the week of the wedding.

What a horrible company. I reached out to two people, including the owner in regards to my disastrous experience, after two weeks with no response, I'm here to warn anyone else considering Musical Edge.
Chris had told us our DJ could provide a mash up of songs like the Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle etc. He also told us our DJ could string our bistro lights across the dance floor for us. He assigned us Noah as our DJ. We told a friend (who is a wedding planner) who we got and he advised us to ask for someone else. After meeting with Noah and having him tell us he could fulfill our requests, we decided to keep him. What a mistake.
When I asked Noah about the lights, he said he would talk to Chris. I e-mailed/texted him several times for a month without a clear answer. The day before our wedding, I still didn't have an answer. Until 8:30 PM, Noah asked if he could set up at 11AM. Had this been communicated weeks before, I could have had someone to let him in, not the night before. I told him he could set up from 3-6pm, he said that was fine. Apparently he was still TAPING them to the wall with BLACK electric tape as guests arrived. Not what we wanted at all. It was embarrassing. He broke several of the bulbs leaving glass on the floor. We had 20+ kids at the wedding. And the tape removed paint from the venue walls.
Noah told us there were several versions of our requested mash up and he would have one. The night of our wedding, he asked if we wanted the Cupid Shuffle played. I reminded him of the mash up. He said he didn't have it.
He also thought our reception was over an hour earlier than it was.
Please do not book with this company. Noah was highly unprofessional and management/owner is unresponsive.

The professionalism of this company is terrible. We had a terrible experience with the DJ and an even worse experience working with his boss, Kyle. Kyle is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever worked with. He sent threatening emails and phone calls to my family after not delivering on their promise to deliver us the best service for my wedding. We will NOT be using this company ever again. Please save yourself the trouble and keep looking.
