    A wonderful minister for our Christmas Eve wedding

    Michael was a pleasure! From the moment we met, we knew he was the perfect fit for our Christmas Eve afternoon wedding. He provided a sample ceremony script, which we tailored for our small, intimate wedding. He arrived on time, and with his deep, melodious voice, pronounced us man and wife.

    Micheal is the best! He's very professional and very personable. He accommodated the jokesters in my wedding party as well as playing along which was perfect. I highly recommend him. He will not disappoint!

    Michael is the most amazing, professional, kind, loving, creative and endearing man. This makes for an equally impressive officiant. We had an intimate ceremony on the cliffs overlooking Bodega Bay. Michael joined in our beachy bohemian event and went barefooted with the rest of us! He hiked the cliffs to get to our special location and shared in our passion. He's a lovely man, very eager to get to know us in order to participate in a familiar and meaningful way. We highly recommend Michael. Our wedding would not have turned out as beautifully as it did, without him! xoxo, Mary

    We were so very fortunate to find Michael Larrian. After a great deal of research, we finally found Michael and the first time that we all spoke on the phone, we knew it a perfect fit. Michael's warm, caring personality put us at ease. He asked many questions to get to know us and to understand what was important to us in our ceremony. Michael was always accessible. His beautifully crafted prose lent form and elegance to our ceremony, held at The Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross. We could not have been happier with Michel Larrian. He is one of the reasons that our wedding was a most Beautiful Day!

    Look no further! In Michael you have found an exceptional wedding officiate!
    Our wedding on 22 May 2017 at The Olea Hotel in Glen Ellen was a low key affair. We decided to marry during a three week road trip, with just the two of us.
    We came across Michael’s details on Wedding Wire and knew instantly that we had found the right person to officiate. From the start we had great communication by phone, email and text right up to the ceremony. Michael tailored the ceremony and built in messages from our kids, resulting in a very personal and moving event. We shed tears of joy all the way through and can honestly say that we could not have imagined a more beautiful and emotional wedding.
    The presence of Michael’s wife and daughter created a sense of family in the absence of our own and he and his family will forever have a place in our hearts.
    By the way, if you're still not convinced, Michael also organised and personally collected our wedding bouquet and boutonniere! AND has the most wonderful voice that brings poetry and emotion to the ceremony without ever letting you forget that this day belongs to you!

    We found Michael somewhat last minute with 3 weeks until the wedding. His price was great and he was fast to respond. Luckily he was available! He proceeded to compose a beautiful ceremony for us to include a Native American blessing to honor the grooms family. Michael is a class act and even drove a bit of a lengthy drive to make it to our rehearsal the day before! Thanks Michael!! If you hire him you'll be pleased!

    We can't recommend A more perfect union, specifically Hope Mirlis any more highly !! She did an amazing job with our ceremony, The writing of our vows , The planning and the actual wedding day was easy and just what we wanted. Stop looking-- you found the perfect officiant! Our entire experience was wonderful. She listened to us , she took our feelings and with a golden pen, turned them into a beautiful service!! Completely personalized service, Hope is so warm and easy to talk to. Many guests commented that it was the nicest and most meaningful ceremony they had ever seen !! We are so so grateful we had the perfect officiant for a wedding.

    Michael was great. He was at the venue before I was. He provided an excellent service. We cut it down quite a bit and wrote our own vows. Michael was able to tailor our service just the way we wanted.

    Michael went above and beyond for us with flexibility for our wedding. He was attentive to our needs and really understood us as a couple. We would recommend him over and over again. Very easy to talk to and he gets back to you right away. Truly made our day so special and unforgettable.

    I got married July 11th 2015 by May I still hadn't found anyone to perform the ceremony. I found Mike on wedding wire and couldn't have been more pleased. He was very affordable,very easy to get ahold of,was very helpful with the setting up of the ceremony and couldn't have done a better job the day of...if you don't use Michael your missing out!

    Our ceremony was beautiful & I happily recommend and encourage upcoming Husband & Wives to contact Mr. Larrain for your special day!! Everything was wonderful, so where do I begin!! From the moment I requested information from A More Perfect Union, there was no break in contact, no lull in communication and Michael was so quick in his responses...while I had to track down my other vendors and email several times for an answer, Michael was available through email/phone from the beginning to the end...exactly the type of officiant any Bride needs on her wedding day! The Ceremony sounded so beautiful and our family & friends made several compliments on how wonderful not only Michael was but his entire family who graciously offered to be apart of our day! His beautiful daughter did a Five-Star job as our flower girl and I am so happy with the photos that his misses took for us....this is truly a wonderful family and they did such an amazing job keeping up with our family...who can get a little rowdy and the crazy wind that almost blew us all away. :) He was happy to fit in our personal vows to each other and had many great ideas for our ceremony that I had not thought of....So to sum it all up, if you are looking for an officiant in this area, I would highly recommend sending Mr. Larrian a message!!! :)

    Michael was wonderful. He made my wedding day such a magical time for my husband and I. He worked with us on the ceremony and how we would like it to be. He even added his own touch which made it even more special. We are so happy that we went with him and honored that he could be our officiant and part of our wedding day.

    Has to be the best Wedding Officiant in all of California! I am so happy with how Michael handled our unique ceremony. He was really easy to communicate with, helped us find the perfect spot, and was happy to accommodate our odd requests (like having our dog be a part of the ceremony). We wanted it to feel special, but didn't want any of the frills of a big wedding and it turned out better than I could have imagined. It felt like we had family there, even though ours couldn't be, because Michael was kind enough to bring his along. It was a truly wonderful experience.

    Michael Larrain officiated our wedding on labor day weekend in Sonoma. He was absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. He worked closely with us to develop a ceremony that perfectly represented what we had in mind and he was exceptionally responsive to planning questions leading up to our wedding day. On our wedding day he officiated a beautiful ceremony - we could not have asked for anything more perfect. He was charismatic, heartfelt and genuine. He also stayed for the reception and made an appearance on the dance floor! We would whole heartedly recommend Michael.

    I can't imagine a lovelier ceremony than the one Reverend Larrain put together for our wedding. He was not only very sensitive to our feelings about what we wanted, but gave us something truly our own, not trendy in any way, but timeless and beautiful. The ceremony was not, as unfortunately often happens, something long, boring and merely to be endured until the fun begins, but rather the centerpiece of our very special day and a memory we will always cherish.

    Michael is serious about love and he brought a grace and eloquence to our wedding ceremony that remains integral to our memory of the day. He helped to craft the vows that spoke to the depth of our love and experience in a moving and light-hearted way. His rich voice and natural romanticism held all in attendance in an embrace where love and passion and poetry ruled the day.

    I would definitely recommend Michael if you love romance. He is a natural.

    We chose Michael to perform our ceremony based on instinct and a gut feeling that he was the right choice. What can I say? Our feelings were right on! Based on our timing and location, we didn't actually meet with Michael in person until the day of our rehearsal. But we spoke on the phone beforehand, so I knew he had what we were looking for — a solid voice for one, that projected and lent some gravitas to our ceremony (we did not have any sound or amplification) and a great, original, non-religious ceremony. Michael and I worked closely together via email to edit and customize his ceremony according to our preferences, and he was very helpful and accommodating. He was also very flexible in our rates negotiation, considering a kind of special situation in terms of location and lodging. And it all worked out perfectly! After our wedding we had SO many people tell us how wonderful the ceremony was and what a great job our officiant did. It was all-around a magical day, and we are so grateful for what Michael did to help it turn out that way. I would recommend this "cowboy-poet" to anyone in the Northern California vicinity.

    Michael Larrain was a perfect choice for my husband and myself. We contacted him just 2.5 weeks before our wedding, and he got back to me within a few hours. We didn't have a lot of time to decide but after talking with him on the phone and exchanging a few emails we decided he was right for us. He also came with the added bonus of owning a flower shop in Cotati and was able to get us vendor prices at the flower and decor store in Santa Rosa, which meant that we spent only a fraction of the price on flowers as we could have. If you are a DIY bride or groom take advantage of this! My sister helped and we made all the centerpieces, and bouquets for under $200. Michael was funny, sweet and definitely not generic. He will add a lot of personality to your ceremony if you allow him to. This was a good thing for us.

    Michael is a fun, quirky guy who was just perfect for our small beach wedding! We had specific requirements about what to include in our vows and ceremony, and Micheal was 100% accommodating and even added his own poetic flair to our ideas. On the spur of the moment, we invited him to the reception where he gave us a really lovely toast, completely off the cuff. He's got such a great personality to officiate weddings!! I'd recommend him to anyone who wants some character in their ceremony!

    Michael was great and imaginative in his service, but what makes him special is his charming originality. My wife and I couldn't have been happier and can't imagine another person would've done a better job.

    The service Michael provided was fair. He showed up on time and was prepared to perform the wedding ceremony. But be prepared for some off-humor and inappropriate behavior that we did not expect.

    After the rehearsal was completed, he approached the bride and one of the bridesmaids from behind and kissed them on the ear. He was also talking to the bridesmaids with inappropriate conversation. The girls did not want him around for the ceremony which was the next day, but relented when it was decided that it was too late to get someone else to perform it. In their words "He's creepy".

    After the ceremony was completed, as the bride and groom were walking down the aisle, he said "Now we can all go skinny dipping". This comment was picked up on a hot mic and several people heard it. He was in close proximity to the bridesmaids and seemed to direct the comment at them.

    At the beginning of the reception, he sat behind my mother, who is in her 80's, and said "I would like to see you in a movie in a bathing suit". After all that, we had enough and asked Michael to leave. He was apologetic, but the damage was done.

    One more thing, he brought with him a companion and his daughter. They sat with our guests taking up seats where there was limited seating. I don't know if they were expected to have dinner with us. I don't think it is common for a vendor to bring their own guests.

    He later emailed my daughter and explained that his behavior was due to 72 hours of sleep deprivation and pain killers for a bad back. If he was in such bad condition, then he shouldn't have been driving the 37 miles from Cotati to Napa, let alone with passengers. I didn't see him arrive, but I know he drove off. The drugs must have worn off.

    So beware. He does deliver a good ceremony, if you don't mind the inappropriate language and off-putting "humor" that comes with him.

    Very Shocked

    Michael was great in email and over the phone, but when he showed up on my wedding day I was terribly shocked. He arrived in dirty clothing: jeans, t- shirt, blazer, Velcro sandals and socks. His excuse was that he had no money or time to get proper clothing. I said to him that he should have told me he couldn’t officiate my wedding because he didn’t have any appropriate clothes. He said just to drop him out of the photos!
    I was very upset. My wedding planner started asking faculty staff for spare clothes, and then a miracle: the chef at the winery where we were getting married said he is an ordained minister and would marry us! Thank you, God! So, my planner had Michael removed from the site. He was very upset about this and demanded $100 to leave (which was his deposit, so I was fine with that.).

    Very stressful, but all was well in the end.
