We Love Momentz Productions!!

My wife and I hired Momentz Productions for our wedding and they did amazing! Our guests loved them! They did an amazing job and made sure people didn’t leave the dance floor. We were referred to them and couldn’t be happier with our decision!

Best. DJ. Ever. Our guests are still talking about how amazing he was and how they never left the dance floor!

From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank DJ Jay Funk enough for making our wedding the BEST party of our lives. The energy he brought was unmatched—our dance floor was packed from the first song to the very last, and our guests are still gushing about him days later. He didn’t just DJ, he created an atmosphere we’ll never forget, complete with vinyl for the dance floor, our name in lights, cold sparks, a fog machine, and a Photo Booth that kept everyone smiling all night. He listened to what we wanted, understood our vision, and made it even better than we imagined. Working with him was so easy and so much fun, and he made sure every moment felt magical. If you want a wedding where no one wants to leave the dance floor, book him—you won’t regret it!

Immaculate Vibes!!!

Massive thank you for taking our wedding to the next level! I was at ease the whole day knowing you we're our DJ. The vibes were unreal, and the dance floor was packed from start to finish which is exactly what we had hoped for. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had. You definitely brought the Bulls and Sox energy to our wedding. The night seriously couldn’t have been better.

Also, thank you for helping me when I didn't know where to start with planning a wedding in 6 months. Couldn't have done it without you.

Wedding DJ

We hired Jay and his company for our wedding and we could not have had a better experience. Jay was professional, responsive and easy to deal with. The day of the wedding our band for the ceremony was late so he improvised and saved the ceremony. During the music and dance portion of the wedding Jay and his crew did an incredible job they had the crowd going all night. All my guests commented on how great the music was. I would highly recommend Jay and his company.

A Must Have DJ for your event

DJ JayFunk was a hit! Very professional, easy to communicate with, worked well with our budget, customized the package and music to our preferences. The music was on point, dance floor was always full. Even had other guests (wedding crashers) complimented how good the DJ was. Our gender reveal during the wedding went really well. We also used Photo Booth and cold sparklers which turned out great. He MC’d the party to stay excited and hype throughout the event. He kept a good timeline and everything flowed smoothly. Highly Recommended!

Phenomenal!!!

The Momentz Production team was so easy to work with from the jump. While my wife and I were in the early stages of planning our wedding, they worked closely with us to build the right package within our budget. And as we got closer to our date, they were very responsive and made sure we got everything covered. They even helped us plan an awesome entrance and a surprise first dance. Our guests were impressed that they were able to keep the dance floor packed for 3 nonstop hours of dancing and incredible vibes.

Absolutely the Best

Working in the Film Industry, I have been apart of many productions ranging from Netflix, HBO, Starz, Legos, you name it. Working side by side many professionals, Momentz Productions was definitely one of the most superior teams we could be ever so blessed to have.

From a falling out with our previous DJ whom was not willing to play our strict personal playlist, Jay, Tony & Gleen, were not hesitant at all to save the day. They were flexible and more than accepting to accommodate what my wife and I wanted.

From being personable, professional, and fun, they came with the amazing energy that made our day feel as if everyone was family.

The equipment that was brought was stunning and elegant, from the DJ booth with custom logos played on the screen, to the lights tower, and the vinyl wrap floor. The venue was turned from a bare bones building to a classy show stopper.

The music, I can not stress how phenomenally mixed our music was. Not one guest at the wedding had any complaints or needs to approach the DJ booth. Again being someone who is very creative and particular in needs from certain start times to blends, we knew everything was taken care of. Our guests which came from locations around the World, had an amazing time and danced the night away, the energy was constant and lively.

We highly recommend this team to be apart of any festivities.

Thank you everyone who made our day a once in a lifetime experience. 10/10

Jay Funk is the Best.

As a Chicago's Top 10 Wedding Planner, I know what entertainment is all about!!

For our own wedding, we hired DJ Jay Funk--- he brought the energy and hype from his sports gigs and made everyone feel as if they are in the front row of a riveting game. His Emcee skills were on point and he was able to get everyone out on the dance floor. His lighting package was also very on point for our event.

We would definitely recommend him to all our couples!!!

Amazing DJ!

Jay was very professional and always responded right away. He even drove out to meet us 10 months before our wedding! We didn't have to give too much direction on exact songs to play. He did a great job mixing the right feel of songs and it was an awesome night!

Best Wedding DJ

I had my wedding on August 30th and we had DJ Jarius. He was easy to work with, had helpful ideas for music selections, we actually saw the man before the reception and very professional. Great company and attention to detail. I've been to a good amount of weddings prior and these guys are the best. My guests said the same as well. Thanks a bunch!

Chicago Suburbs Wedding 8.3.19

Jairus and team were fantastic! They were professional yet laid back which provided us the reassurance that everything would work out to our liking. Despite not giving them too much to work with, they made sure the sound was great in our large venue, playlist was appropriate for our crowd, and timing of all programs were seamless.

We had Jai as our dj and he was absolutely easy and wonderful to work with. He was very prompt with returning emails and receptive to what we were hoping for. We had our wedding downtown in Chicago, where the hotel had a very gatsby vibe. We wanted an old Chicago feel for our playlist during dinner, and the crowd loved how it went with the ambience.

They offer many different services to help aid to your big day as well. If you are looking for great service and a great time, definitely look into momentz productions.

Jairus was professional and personable. He was flexible when last minute changes were thrown at him. I HIGHLY recommend him to any Bride. Next to food, the music is so essential. Our dance floor was ALWAYS packed.

From start to finish, Momentz Productions provided an exceptional level of service and professionalism. Jai was the only DJ my husband and I wanted for our wedding! He performed at two of my close friends' weddings in 2014 and 2016. Compared to a dozen other weddings I've been to, he is the only DJ who can keep the energy and momentum going throughout the night. My 160+ guests danced through the last song (including my parents' guests and friends even expressed disappointment that the wedding ended too soon at midnight.) With Jai, there was never a dull moment, and his style really speaks to the hearts and feet of the audience. Jai also went above and beyond by providing a projector screen and props for our photo booth, which made the wedding so much more special. From ceremony to reception, his services were flawless. I would 100% recommend him to all my friends and would ask him to DJ for the anniversary party.

My husband and I are so happy we worked with Jai & Momentz Productions for our wedding! Jai was so attentive and responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process. Not to mention he played the best music and really knew how to get the party going :) We received so many compliments about the music that was played during the cocktail hour, dinner & dancing! Jai was so fun and easy to work with. He made the year of planning come together for our wedding night. He responded quickly and was always open and accommodating to what we wanted. Jai was incredible from the first time we met. our dj canceled one month prior to our wedding and we were passed along jais info and he met with us right away. even though i had bags under my eyes from crying and lack of sleep with all the stress he had a calm demeanor and made us feel comfortable. after we met the same night he sent over all the correspondence from our meeting and additional info. i will say he is the only vendor who was constantly checking in with US and we didnt have to track him down. he also was so organized and so prompt to respond to any question. he then blew us away at our wedding the minute i heard the ceremony music begin and hear how it flowed so perfectly i cried. i was worried about having a dj run our ceremony opposed to live instruments because it wouldnt give the same affect but it was better than any live music couldve done. next was our reception and again we were blown away. he had everything organized also took initiative to get my crazy bridal party in order review names and give instructions. we were very specific about song choice and request a special mix for bride and groom entrance and everything went flawless. now for all the traditional things that come before the open dance floor he also helped flow and move the night along. when it came time for the bouquet toss i totally forgot to ask my florist about it and thought she maybe forgot to give it to me and i turn around and hes standing there with it. the fact that they coordinated that so i wouldnt have to worry about one more thing really impressed me. as far as the rest of the night we received so many compliments on how good he was. we were worried that we would only have one dj and not another MC but honestly you wouldnt want one. jai kept the dance floor full and interacted with the crowd seamlessly i wouldnt know the difference and in fact have been to weddings with two and he still was better. anything i needed or wanted to ask him to play he made it happen.

Jay and everyone at Momentz Production made our wedding day so fun and special. From beginning to end the professionalism and the friendliness exceeded all of our expectations. We extended our reception for an additional 30 mins and Jay and is team were so accommodating. Ken and I can't thank you guys enough for the photobooth, the music, and the positive vibes! You won't be disappointed if you hire Momentz Productions for your wedding. Your guests will be raving about the music days after like mine. They meet your needs and are very professional. Overall, they just provide you the best music to make your wedding a very memorable experience. One that your guests will never forget. Momentz Productions did an incredible job start to finish. After initially reaching out to them (upon referral), they responded to my email immediately and set up a time to meet. We walked through my vision, my wife's vision, and what Momentz could offer. They were reasonable, knowledgeable, affordable and likeable. We immediately clicked and they were detailed and thorough in their service. We met again a few weeks before the event, reviewed all of the fine details (including details we missed) and finalized the event.

On the day of the event, Momentz was on time and on point. We provided a list of songs we wanted played, genre and overall mood for the evening, and Momentz delivered. Their selection was curated, they blended recorded with finesse and Glenn the MC made sure everyone had a good time. Everyone left the wedding happy and tired from all the dancing.

Thanks again Momentz Production - we will definitely use you and recommend you to others in the future!

He was very reasonable in his pricing, was extremely responsive to email, gave notice when he would be out of town, and did a great job when he was at the wedding. Jai did an awesome job! I was really impressed. I was a total type A - control freak bride with a very detailed timelines. We ended up having a family issue in the middle of the reception that had to be dealt with and our timeline went out the window. I was so impressed with how Jai rolled with the punches and kept the party going in our absence.

He was affordable and professional and knew his stuff. We chose him for his personality - he wasn't over the top or cheesy, just a real chill guy. He did our ceremony music, music during cocktails and dinner and our reception music. I highly recommend.

Jay was amazing!!!! Everyone is still talking about how good the music was and how much energy jay had on the night of our wedding!! He is the nicest guy at our meetings and on the phone too. He really listened to what music and genres of music we wanted and he did a fantastic job playing it all!! He is up for anything and he will make it happen! So many people asked us about him and are planning to use him in the future. The dance floor was packed all night and people didn't want to leave!

We saw Momentz Productions in action at a friend’s wedding. We enjoyed their energy, professionalism, and organization. Our friends really had great things to say about them, so we decided to meet with Jairus to discuss our wedding plans. At our first meeting, he was very organized and explained all the packages the company offered. He had a great personality and sense of humor. Most importantly, he was very open to our ideas. We were very early in the planning process, so we signed a contract just for the DJ and Emcee package. He allowed us to add other packages once we had a better idea of what exactly we needed for the big day. He extended the multiservice discount to everything that we added, which included their photobooth, uplighting, cocktail reception coverage, ceremony sound coverage, and customized monogram package. We gave him a list of songs for the cocktail hour and reception but we let them use their own judgement and feel out the vibe of our guests to play what they would like. Everything came together flawlessly. The gobo custom monogram looked great along with the purple uplighting we chose. It really added so much beauty to the ballroom. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the photobooth. At the end of the evening, they gave us a photo album, where our guests wrote sweet messages along with their pictures and a flash drive with all of our guests’ photo booth pictures. Momentz productions was great to work. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day!

Jairus was such a great person to work with from start to finish. He was very flexible with meeting with us and very responsive to our emails. He worked with our event coordinator at our hotel to make sure everyone was on the same page. We opted to add the uplighting package, and when we couldn’t decide what colors to use he offered to meet us at our venue to show us the different options. The uplighting was amazing! It definitely made a difference in how the ballroom looked, especially in pictures. It was definitely worth the upgrade. Jairus was very organized and made sure our timeline was on point for the night. His demeanor is calm and positive, which is great when things can get chaotic during a wedding especially when dealing with all of the parties involved. We felt like he made our wedding very personal by making sure he played our song selections and also customizing the rest of the music based on our style and preferences. There was always a huge group of our friends and family on the dance floor. We heard a lot of great comments about Jairus and the music during and even after our wedding. We would definitely recommend Jairus and Momentz Productions!

DJ Jay (Jairus) was phenomenal! What I loved is the fact that he was relaxed and calm all throughout the meetings leading up to the big day, and then showed a completely different side that made our event more fun and alive! People were ecstatic, and even the usual hard-to-please ones were smiling and showing their moves off on the floor! If the venue allowed for us to, we could've gone all night! Definitely reliable, professional, and a pro at reading the crowd!

Jay and the Momentz team were a pleasure to work with. Jay was incredibly professional and patient throughout the entire process. I went back to him countless times about music selection and photobooth picture design and he was always so nice and willing to answer all my questions. On the day of the wedding, I did not worry at all about the music, emceeing, or photobooth thanks to Momentz. Momentz Pro traveled with us to Riviera Maya to DJ our wedding. It was definitely one of the best decisions I made! Jairus' attention to detail, prompt responsiveness, and overall care of our event was more than I can ask for. He had the party going all night! Not only is he a great DJ but also as an emcee he excelled as well. You will not be let down by hiring them for your event!

Momentz Productions is the best DJ in the City of Chicago for weddings. Their professionalism and value is the best in the industry. If you need a DJ this would be #1 on my list. They won't let you down !!

They were very well organized and helped us stay on our schedule throughout the night. The music was awesome and everyone said it was the best wedding of the year. They also provided us with a photo booth and a slow motion booth which was super fun. If it wasn't for there help and hard work, our wedding wouldn't of been the same.

Momentz Productions created a joyous and uninhibited setting for our wedding. The music and lighting was on point. Our guests, young and old, danced all night and had smiles on their faces. The aspects that sets Momentz apart from other DJs and our other vendors is the quality of service, communication, and experience. Those aspects will become apparent when meeting with Jay for wedding prep. What I was most impressed with was his ability to move the wedding program along fluidly and seemlessly. Jay was very accomadating to our busy work schedules when planning meetings. He is extremely professional and listened our ideas. He really brought the night to life with a mix of different genres that meant something to my husband and myself. Overall, he was a pleasure to work with and we never had to worry about anything.

Our outdoor wedding ceremony and outdoor reception were flawless. The ceremony was micd so everyone could hear the officiant as well as the multiple speaker we had. Jairus also helped the brass quintet with the electronic element in the processional.

The reception was so much fun, the music was great, the floor was full and the announcements for all of the evening events went smoothly and felt completely effortless. So many people have commented on how great the evening was, we thank you for your contribution to making that happen!

We just got married on 07/26/14 and worked with Jai. He was great, i can't say enough about him. Our ceremony and reception took place in the same venue on 2 separate floors. Jai was able to provide speakers for both floors and had plenty of cables for our musicians to connect their instruments to the speakers. He emcee'ed our wedding as well and did great with that. We were fortunate enough to have a younger crowd at our wedding and the music he played kept the ppl on the dance floor. He was very professional and excellent to work with. We recommend him wholeheartedly.

This company was reasonably priced for all that they provided at our wedding- uplighting, personalized monogram, projector screen, photobooth, and deejay. I created a playlist that the deejay followed and the dance floor was NEVER empty! Our guests were able to take home their pictures from the photobooth. The personalized monogram on the wall was subtle, but looked great in the background of pictures. For planning our wedding from across the country, this company was always easy to reach and open to our ideas. Highly recommend to anyone getting married in the Chicagoland area!

Best Music!!!

Jay was awesome! And such a nice guy! I heard his music at a friend's wedding and it was memorable enough for me to reach out as soon as we started looking for wedding DJs. He knows how to please a big group of people. He knows what he is doing regarding timeline, music choices, etc. We would recommend him for all our friend's weddings. We hope to enjoy his music again in the future.

The best DJ around! communication was wonderful and he made sure to keep things so organized. Great to work with from the very beginning. It was a pleasure having Jai and the team. We couldn’t have asked for better DJ! All of our guests raved about the music he played.

Jay went above and beyond to help give us the wedding of our dreams. We met several times to discuss music, and he always listened first and then gave great ideas. He created a perfect edit for our wedding dance, had valuable input on our ceremony music, and mixed the dance floor music in a way that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. He is a professional and an expert who knows how to pick the right music, go with the flow and be flexible, be professional and respectful to guests and staff alike, and say all the right things on the mic. Our wedding would not have been the same without him. He was one of the highlights of our day.

Jay is wonderful and really easy to work with. Our dance floor was not once empty and people came up to use weeks after the wedding to tell us how much they liked our DJ and could not stop dancing.

Jairus did a great job with our wedding - everyone had a great time. Everyone enjoyed the variety of music, the photo booths were perfect - judging from the videos and photos we've seen, everyone took advantage of it. The only hitch that I heard of was my sister's speech/powerpoint presentation - wish we could've worked that one out for the wedding. Not sure what the exact issue was with getting this on the projection screen, but I know she was disappointed that she couldn't show it.

Expected more

Although our wedding was cancelled we did not get our full deposit back due to COVID19 pandemic. Other vendors had given us a full refund and it took some time for the DJs to get back via email. We lost 1/2 of our deposit and never used any services. Wouldn't recommend if you decide to make changes.

Do not hire this DJ

We were initially referred to DJ Jay Funk by a family member who had known him since high school and praised his extensive DJ experience. Based on this recommendation, we believed we were hiring a top-tier DJ for our wedding—but we couldn’t have been more wrong.

In the weeks leading up to our big day, we had multiple conversations with Jay Funk, agreeing on various details about how the day would unfold. However, when the wedding day finally arrived, it became clear that everything we had discussed was disregarded.

We were told that only Jay Funk and his brother, DJ Boy Wonder, would be present. Instead, Jay Funk was nowhere to be found, and DJ Boy Wonder showed up with two other people who we hadn’t been informed about. We later learned that Jay Funk was delayed at a White Sox game and couldn’t make it to our wedding on time.

When Jay Funk did arrive guests who approached him to request songs described him as rude and impatient. Some guests had to request the same song multiple times before he would play it. As the bride and groom, we also experienced his poor attitude firsthand. He didn’t even inform us when he arrived; we only discovered he was there when we separately went up to the booth to make requests. He was unapproachable and acted as if he didn’t want to be there at all.

Before the wedding, we discussed extending the music for an additional hour at a discounted rate. However, when the time came, Jay Funk tried to charge the father of the groom $500 for the extra hour, which was outrageous considering we had already paid him $4000 for the event. When the father of the groom objected, DJ Funk became argumentative. The father of the groom began to walk away from the DJ booth unhappy with Jay Funk, when Jay Funk decided to run from around the booth yelling profanity at the father of the groom. Jay Funk then asked the father of the groom in his words "You wanna go?" trying to escalate a fight. He then yelled at all of our guests, "Last song, everyone get the F*** out".

After the wedding, Jay Funk called us and was not apologetic instead he said things like "That was not status quo but sometimes that’s what happens when 2 alpha males get together". I also reread our contract after the wedding and the contract states "The overtime rate will never exceed $50 per half hour". Not only did he escalate the situation he also was trying to over charge us.

Our wedding concluded not with us dancing to the last song, but with Jay Funk provoking a confrontation and yelling at the father of the groom and our guests. You will never get this time back, avoid hiring this DJ at all costs.
