  We really lucked out in meeting Mike after a friend recommended him to us. We met a couple of other photographers prior Mike but none of them felt quite right for us. Not only did others provide less coverage for a lot more money they just didn't give us a sense interest in us. Mike has a very easy going personality. He made his first trek out to Staten Island by bike and ferry for our engagement session. His eye for amazing shots blew us away when we saw our e-session photos. We can't wait to see our wedding day photos.

  Our experience with mike was amazing! It felt like fate. He was able to capture everything we wanted but had a difficult time explaining to him. Mike was very professional and gave us a sense of comfort and trust that we never had to discuss much about our pictures. We gave him total creative control and was able to capture everything we wanted. He was able to read us and figure out what would work for us.
  Once we receiving our photos we were taken aback by the quality of the pics. Not just the clarity of the pics but how he was able to encapsulate the general feeling of the day! If we were to do it over again, Mike would be the first thing we'd book! We strongly recommend Mike Simonitsch Photography! Thanks Mike!

  Mike is professional, organized and very talented. When I checked out his website, we immediately knew that we would hire him for our wedding in Paris, France. And we were right - the pictures came out better than we expected. Mike was full of creative ideas during our shoot and was very attentive in catching the special moments that occurred during the day, which gave a nice touch to our album. We will definitely hire him for our next event. Thanks Mike!

  Amazing photographer, experience and value. Mike is a true professional without the pretentiousness or high cost typically associated with such high quality photos and service. His communication, demeanor and attitude was a perfect fit for my wife and I. And 6 months after our wedding, we are still in touch with Mike.
  
  Mike went above and beyond what we were expecting and we couldn't be happier with the end product. We've seen friends overpay for high-end photographers and receive a sub par product and experience on the most important day of their lives. Don't gamble... just book Mike! =)

  I can't say enough great things about our experience with Mike. He captured all the details, beauty and emotion of our special day. We are so in love with our wedding pictures, and so is everybody else who sees them. We are constantly receiving compliments on how beautiful and original our pictures are. Mike has an amazing talent for photography! He is super easy to work with and makes you feel at ease in front of the camera. We couldn't of had a better experience, if you are looking to have beautiful pictures and a great photographer he is your guy ;) I promise you won't be disappointed ;)

  Working with Mike was one of the best parts of our wedding. We're both supremely camera-shy so we were practically dreading all the smiling and posed portraits. From the first time we met Mike to discuss his approach to our ongoing, just-for-fun communications, he immediately impressed us with his relaxed, easy going attitude and seriously talented eye for photography. His relaxed attitude does not disguise an incredible attention to detail which came through in the amazing pictures he took for us. He was very patient with us throughout the planning process, and with our large and tardy families as we struggled to get through a lengthy list of portraits. He found a setting and created an atmosphere that made all those portraits enjoyable to take and beautiful to look at. During our ceremony and the rest of the wedding he easily captured the decor, candids, guests, and all of the important moments in shots that have more energy and spontaneity than most wedding photos I've seen. We would unreservedly and highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a photographer.

  I could not have asked for a better experience in working with a New York City wedding photographer than we had with Michael. Both our engagement and party pictures receive countless compliments and we believe Michael's expertise truly captured the best of us. No moment was too small or big for him to be there with his camera. I also have to give him credit for putting up with my wild wedding party! He managed the wrangle the crew to take the most amazing shots. We cannot be any happier with our experience with Michael and refer him to anybody looking for a professional, friendly, reliable, creative photographer for any event.

  My husband and I were referred to Mike through a friend and worked with him for our engagement and wedding day shoots. We loved the photos from both and would highly recommend him!
  
  I won't spend time reviewing his artistic skills since his work is available online, and we obviously liked the photos enough to choose him over the scores of photographers we'd researched. In terms of logistics, Mike was very responsive throughout the planning process. He met with us in person before anything was finalized to discuss what we envisioned for both shoots. He also helped us brainstorm ideas, and then was really flexible in accommodating what we wanted. Mike was easy-going and fun to work with, and - most importantly - very professional. For both sessions, we were pleasantly surprised by his fast turnover of the finished photos. Even though we told him we'd be traveling for 4 weeks for our honeymoon and that he could take his time, there were top-quality photos waiting for us before we returned home.
  
  Mike was by far our favorite wedding vendor because of his skill, passion, honesty, and professionalism. Lastly, I just want to add that I'm generally ambivalent about most things and rarely spend time writing online reviews, but I couldn't resist putting in a good word for Mike because we're genuine fans :)

  Not only is he a long time friend, I also had the privilege of hiring him to be my wedding photographer. He is a consummate professional who constantly strives for the perfect shot. I highly recommend Mike to anyone I know who needs a photographer.

Photography is one thing that I believe every bride should invest in because that truly captures your wedding day and you will look back to them 10 years, 20 years from now and remember your special day! With that said, Mike was one of the great investments we made during wedding planning. He bonded with the groom and groomsmen easily because he is just so friendly and easy going. On our wedding day, I never felt that pressure of having to pose for Mike, but somehow he was able to capture the most amazing and candid pictures. Instead of telling us to "look at each other, kiss and hug" repeatedly like our first photographer, Mike came up with his own ideas, which was a pleasant surprise when we look at the photos now because we had no idea that what he was trying to capture. Mike has a great attitude. On our wedding day, we went from Douglaston to Brooklyn, back to Douglaston then Long Island. Mike never complained and just followed along with a big smile. He also went above and beyond by staying late and capturing picture upon our guests' requests. Most importantly, the photos came out AMAZING! I couldn't stop smiling when I am looking at the photos because Mike's photos brought me back to my wedding day. Thank you Mike for such a wonderful experience and the amazing pictures!! We love it! =D

  I'm shy and a difficult photo subject, but Michael made us feel comfortable and took some great pictures. Michael managed to capture the feel of our wedding without getting in the way.
