Great Wedding Photographer

We used Michael to be our wedding photographer. He is an amazing photographer. He captured our wedding perfectly. He was very helpful during the planning process and always responds the same day. He made everything very easy and that I had to do minimal planning with our photos. He also was great with our family and friends. We would definitely use Michael again for future events/or portraits

I couldn't be happier with the service we got from Michael! He definitely made us feel special and made us look amazing! to our surprise, he was one of the most affordable photographers we could find. He was very easy to talk to and made suggestions for us and helped us out with things such as timeline, photo locations, lighting, and other things as well. We received our photos by the time we got back from our honeymoon. Definitely check him out if you are still looking for a photographer!

Michael was awesome. Very professional and easy to work with. He is a fordable and takes incredible pictures. He stayed an extra half hour to accommodate a change in our timeline and ensured that he covered every aspect of our wonderful day. I would recommend him to anyone.

Michael took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. He did an excellent job! We love the fact that he takes a lot of candid photos because we are quite a goofy couple and have a crazy family, so we knew there would be some awesome moments at our wedding. Michael captured all of these silly moments and also the really special ones like our first dance and my dance with my dad. We could not have chosen a better photographer for our big day (and also for our engagement photos, which turned out AMAZING). I will always recommend Michael to anyone looking for a photographer for any occasion. My husband and I also plan on using him again in the future when our family grows a little bit! If that doesn't say something about how great Michael is and how incredible his work is, then I'm not sure what does! Bottom line: you will not regret hiring him.

Michael photographed our wedding just two weeks ago. We did a first look as well as the traditional set of photos. Michael did a phenomenal job! My husband and I chose Michael to photograph our wedding because we liked what a good job he did of capturing the candid emotion on people's faces. He did not disappoint. We look back at our amazing photos of that day and are instantly reminded of the insane level of joy and happiness we felt. Thank you, Michael, for capturing our day so perfectly.

Michael was the photographer at my wedding at Saguaro Buttes! The photos I received are better than I could have ever expected! Michael took time to get to know my husband and I before the wedding which made taking pictures more comfortable! He got so many great shots at the reception without people even noticing he was around. All of Michael's photos really told a story and captured our wedding day perfectly!

My husband and I are thrilled with Michael and how the photos turned out! He listened to our multiple photo requests and we got every photo we asked for and more! We weren't sure how comfortable we would both be in front of a camera all day, but Michael took that stress away and was able to take a lot of great candid photos without us even knowing and I think it shows how we really feel throughout the day. Very affordable and down to earth guy. Always responded to my emails immediately. Best vendor at our wedding.

Having Michael and his assistant as our wedding photographers for our wedding was one of the best decisions we ever made!! You can't get a more professional vendor - a vendor who will always capture the best moments and angles, who know the best locations, and have so much experience and love for what they do! When we looked through the online gallery after the wedding, we saw photos of moments that were so precious and candid. We hardly even noticed they were there taking photos. They were extremely flexible when we requested a location change for our bridal photos - and were all too happy to walk with us around the UofA - just to get the right shot and all of the photos we had in mind. Every time we look at our photos we remember all of the amazing moments of our wedding day! Michael was there to capture everything, and we are truly grateful for all of his hard work.

We have been using Michael as our family photographer for quite some time now and he never disappoints. He is always honest with us and very easy to work with. We are always in close communication before any session so we are always on the same page. Our walls are already covered with his photos. I tell him if he ever wants to have an art gallery, just come over to my house since his work is displayed everywhere! We look forward to working with him for years to come.

Michael was great to work with! Very fun and outgoing guy who took the stress out of finding a quality wedding photographer. He was quick to respond to my emails and very professional at all times. Our photos came out beautiful and was hard to narrow them down to pick for the album, so we just ordered a larger album :) We had out wedding in Tucson, but he also traveled up to Phoenix for our engagement photos. Michael Chansley was the perfect wedding photographer to work with for our special day. We chose him after looking at his work online and because the Saguaro Buttes recommended him. We loved his more journalistic style photography. On the day of, I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous about having a photographer follow us around. My husband and I not generally super into being the center of attention, which is something you have to get over quickly on your wedding day ;)

We loved working with him and Michael's photos came out amazing! I thought I'd look nervous or super stiff but I didn't. We have so many photos of us that I had no idea he was taking, smiles, laughter, they look so natural (because they were). When he'd give us direction it was helpful, to the point, but kind and fun. We loved working with him, and we can't wait to see the amazing photo books he's putting together for us!

I am a photographer, so naturally getting photos of my big day was my top priority. The big name photographers I originally contacted were over 3000 to start and would not give me the printing rights for the photos. To purchase one print would have been 30 dollars. I found Michael through a wedding website and was blown away. His work is just as or even more amazing than those photographers charging twice as much for their work. I could not be any happier with our photos and with his service. Hire Michael!!! He is the best!

Michael was extremely helpful and accommodating from the very beginning of the process. Finding a wedding photographer is a very intimidating and potentially expensive ordeal, but Michael completely washed away any concerns I had. He was able to break down exactly what he could provide and offered any advice in getting the perfect shots for our special day.

When the wedding day came, Michael was there right on schedule and went right to work with minimal direction. He knew exactly how to approach each scenario and capture the essence of every moment without ever being visible.

To my surprise, Michael sent over all of our photos only a few days after the wedding! My wife and I were completely enamored at the quality and beauty of each picture. To say that we were pleased with the professionalism and quality of work portrayed by Michael would be an understatement. Not only did he capture the beauty of our big day, but his price almost seems like a steal for what he provided. My wife and I would hands down recommend Michael for any wedding or event for that matter.

Michael was our photographer for our engagement photo shoot as well as for our wedding. I was really impressed with the ideas that he came up with for our photos. He did a wonderful job of listening to my husband and me and then personalizing the photos so that they matched our personality. Michael did a WONDERFUl job with all of our photos and we were both really impressed.

Michael is also extremely quick to respond when I had any questions or concerns. As a bride, I appreciate this since planning for the big day is so stressful. am so happy we had Michael Chansley capture our special day!

Everything was perfect and amazing! Promptness was excellent - we received all 600 of our wedding photos on a disc in the mail the week after we got home from our honeymoon, which was about two weeks after the wedding. And the pictures were perfect - just what we were looking for and wanted!

Michael is able to catch some of the best action shots, like the first dance, without making his presence known. He is very quick to resond and easy to schedule with. His packages are very affordable. He did my best friend's wedding and blew me away.

Michael is amazing! I was getting worried I would not being able to afford a photographer that would capture my wedding day artfully and beautifully, but when I found Michael I knew I was saved! Not only is he affordable, he is fantastically talented! He was so patient with my family (trust me, they require patience) and so friendly and professional. All my guests complimented his demeanor, and many said they barely noticed him there, even though he ended up with tons of pictures of them! Our portraits are gorgeous, more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. And you can tell by the moments he captures that he really puts himself in the moment and wants to capture the feeling of the day. We got married on a Thursday night, by Friday he emailed us the link for online viewing, and on Monday I had the disk of pictures in the mailbox! Seriously... he is just great!

What can I say? Michael was fantastic in every way! He took images that told the story of my wedding day just like I wanted. The photos were up online in 2 days!! We were looking at the photos in the airport on our way to our honeymoon in New York and were so excited with how everything worked out!

Michael went out of his way to make sure everything went well for us. He is from Tucson, but met us in Phoenix (where we live) for a consultation. He is very down to earth and we were shocked to see that his rates were lower than any we have seen. When we contacted him, we thought he would be WAY out of our budget, but everything worked out great! For the wedding he was very professional and took amazing photos! Everyone keeps commenting on how good the photos turned out!

I fell in love with Michael and his work the very first time I visited his site. I immediately contacted him to schedule a meeting and just loved his personality and knowledge of weddings. He totally took a lot of pressure off of me and made me feel comfortable. 2 weeks before the wedding he was in constant contact with me and made sure everything was planned out to go perfectly, which it did! We didn't order an album with our package, but decided to get one after the wedding since the images were better than we could have hoped for. All the other photographers I looked at were WAY out of our price range, but Michael had some great mid-range packages and gave us top-tier quality even though we didn't go with the top-tier package.

Michael went above and beyond our expectations! First when I mentioned that the ceremony site and the groom getting ready were more than an hour away from each other, he didn't complain at all. The reception was another hour away from where the ceremony was, so he did a lot of driving and never even brought it up! Michael was very discreet during the wedding and captured TONS of great moments. It was like a behind the scenes look at my wedding! So awesome! We got back from our honeymoon and the photos were already online and the CD of images was delivered. When we checked our email, Michael had given us directions to pick out out album images, which was easy to select, but hard to narrow down to 150 from over 800 really good images. I couldn't be any happier with the work Michael did.

We couldn't have picked a better photographer to cover our wedding! Since day 1, Michael has been very quick to respond to our emails and was very helpful and professional in every way. He never tried to push us to purchase a large package or expensive albums, but he worked with our budget and gave us a great value. After looking at other photographers work and their packages, I was very surprised to find the packages Michael had were very affordable. I look forward to having him take photos of us as we grow as a family.

Michael was wonderful to work with. He traveled up from Tucson for my wedding in Sedona and took countless priceless photos for me and my family to enjoy. He was very professional and our guests still rave about him.

We were planning a long distance wedding on a tight budget in 4 months. It's scary to hire a person you've never met, but I feel like we got so lucky to find Michael. He's been easy to reach, fast to respond to my many questions, willing to work with our budget, and most importantly, took excellent and amazing pictures of our wedding. I love that we have the disc and rights to all our pictures, and we got the link to the online posting nearly immediately.

Michael covered our wedding as well as our engagement session and we couldn't have been more pleased! He worked with us throughout the wedding planning process and was very professional. We got the link to the images online the very next day after the wedding and engagement session and got a CD of the images in the mail shortly after. The quality of the images were also something that made me real excited. I'm so glad we decided to book him!

Michael was fabulous for our small, rural! wedding. He drove out to the middle of nowhere for us and provided us with more amazing photographs than I ever expected. He worked within our budget and really made it possible for us to get great memories of our day. Plus, he had a finished disc of images just 3 days after the wedding. His photojournalistic style is super-modern and I reminded of all the amazing photographers I've seen on all the major wedding blogs. I would certainly recommend him to anyone, for any event.

Michael by far exceeded my expectations. He went out of his way to make sure he captured every moment. He was laid back and worked great with our family and guests. I still get complements on how great everything was. Oh, and the photos were the best I have ever seen! Can't thank him enough.

Michael was incredible at editing our photos and discussing a package that worked well for us. Cynthia was our photographer and she took the most amazing photos I've ever seem. She even got group portraits where everyone looks amazing, even all the kids! They were wonderful to work with and I recommend them very highly!

Michael did a great job in the weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure I thought of everyone I would want pictures with/of and he had the list the day of the wedding (which I of course forgot). He did a great job staying low key while still getting great photos. Very relaxed and flexible!

Michael was not available to shoot our wedding, we loved his work and were disappointed. We used one of his photographers and were unsure how everything would turn out. Robert came to shoot our wedding and did an AMAZING job! The photos came out so much better than we could have imaginged. Both Michael and Robert were a pleasure to work with. Always responded in a professional and timely manner. we would use them again and recomend to anyone!

I am not the Bridal or the Groom but I was the Wedding Planner for this wedding. Michael did a great job! he worked with the couple's budget and still stay for a couple of hours to continue taking pictures. Michael thank you so much for all our help. I hope to work with you with again.

Michael was our wedding photographer in Tucson this April at the Westin la Paloma. We chose him after looking at this work online and reading the many reviews. He did not disappoint. This was a destination for us so we did not get to meet Michael until the day of our wedding which was fine as he always responded immediately to any questions that we had for him before the wedding. With our formal pictures with family he kept them focused so we could keep our timeline but we did not feel rushed. He listened to our requests and made sure that we got the photos we really wanted to have on that day. Everything turned out beautifully and he was truly a pleasure to work with. The photos are more than we could have hoped for and we cannot wait to see the final book – once we narrow down to which photos we want included, there are too many great ones to choose from. Michael was fantastic for our engagement session and I was so happy with the number of pictures taken and how they all turned out, so I was ecstatically looking forward to the pictures from the wedding day. Unfortunately I'm slightly disappointed. For one thing he hired a second photographer to help him out up through the ceremony, but this guy clearly didn't have a clue what he was doing. He took shots of my groom getting ready using a wide angle lens, this produced a multitude of shots that make my 6'3" groom look 4 feet tall and it will take me a while to fix in photoshop. The second photographer also did nothing while we did formal portraits so I feel like there were lots of missed shots of activity going on around the actual portraits. Also he missed a lot of detail shots, luckily guests at my wedding took pictures to make up for this and I'm getting them from them. He missed several key events and people during the reception. He also didn't listen when we told him he needed a ladder for some shots. I gave him a list of the photos I wanted but only got a handful of them. I would just recommend that you give him lots of very direct advice and make sure that you get the pictures you want since I trusted him to use his best judgement but apparently he just wasn't paying attention to what was going on or what I asked for.

Michael was not available on our wedding date, but was kind enough to provide three alternative photographers who apparently have an agreement to fill-in if he is not available. We were married in Tubac, instead of our hometown of Washington, D.C. There is nothing near our city that resemble the scenic grounds at the Tubac Golf Resort.

Faux Pas #1 - None of our pictures depicted the vast beauty of the mountains, or the beautiful resort grounds. The fill-in photographer was not able to make any meetings, so I don't think the fill-in photographer understood we were out of towners, and wanted "the views" in our pictures.

Faux Pas #2 - We were told to expect between 50-100 pictures per hour. We received 256 pics for 5 hours of time. We were told the low number of photos was due to the limited number of guests (50). Hmmm...I thought the rate was based on the number of hours - not guests. No clarity on that fact. We paid a high fee for a low number of pictures.

Faux Pas #3 Don't accept a fill-in photographer. Michael probably would have done a great job. I would more than likely have a better portfolio in which to select my album photos. In all fairness, Michael attempted to make me feel better by informing me that I may use pictures my guests took for my album as well. However, I did not wish to have blurry, cell-phone pictures in my wedding album!

Michael is nice, and so is the photographer he sent in his stead. However, I would NOT recommending a fill-in photographer on your wedding day.
