Melissa cope and is amazing! She traveled from Indiana to effingham illinois with no extra charge to shot both our engagement and wedding photos. She was able to capture unique photos and our wedding party had a blast

Melissa is an AMAZING person and photographer! She is very creative and went out of her way to make our engagement and wedding pictures the best! Our wedding pictures are amazing and we had so much fun!

Honestly when I first met Melissa at a bridal show I thought her work was amazing, but I was afraid she was going to be out of our budget, even though photography was something we were willing to splurge on. After talking to and meeting with a million other vendors with no luck, I started reviewing the brochures I had received at bridal shows, and stumbled upon hers again. Surprisingly enough her prices weren't all that steep compared to similar quality photographers in the area AND she was willing to travel a couple hours to do our pictures! Once we met her, we knew without a doubt she was the one for us. (Just a back story, we always had a signal that we would do when we didn't like a vendor… a big X on the back of the other person… there were LOTS of those before we met Melissa!) We felt SO comfortable with her, and isn't that what good pictures are all about? Being relaxed, comfortable, and able to have a good time without making it looked forced? Anyways, the engagement session, which was rained out 3 times before we were able to actually have it (talk about dedication from her!) went amazing! She drove to the spot we wanted to use and shot for a good couple hours or so! We couldn't get enough compliments from our friends and family about how good they were! Then came the actual wedding. She brought another photographer with her, who I hadn't met so I was a bit nervous, and she was just as wonderful!!! Together we had lots of laughs and captured some really great moments. All of our family commented on how "unnoticed" she was at the wedding. She didn't feel the need to be up in people's faces, but still captured all the shots we wanted and then some! We all knew she was there, but she never once made pictures forced or awkward.

I would HIGHLY recommend Melissa Copeland Photography to any bride that wants fun, good quality pictures. If you're looking for cookie cutter or posed pictures then she is not for you… you gotta have some personality!!! Oh, and if you are up for it, do the "first look"… it was one of the best moments of the entire wedding, and you don't even notice photographers are there!

Melissa was great to work with. We had a destination wedding and she made herself available any time that we wanted pictures taken, not just the day of the wedding. The only negative aspect of the entire experience was that some pictures were lost in the process but it was not Melissa's doing.
