Great DJ and Wedding Consultant
We worked with Carlton and he was extremely helpful along with being a great DJ. The best part of this service was being able to choose all of our favorite music. Carlton gave us a lot of options, but he also said we could provide our own list of songs and he would play them. We decided we wanted a lot of salsa music to dance to after the dinner and we had a ton of Latin dancing at our reception. Even though we had a list of preferred songs, and Carlton played the majority of them, he also was extremely professional, because he could see when there was a little bit of a lull in the dancing. It was at that point in time that Carlton played music to get people up and out on the dance floor. He played some crowd-pleasing songs that were extremely effective at keeping the energy going. We really appreciate it that we felt validated by all of our song choices, but in the same right, Carlton as the professional DJ made decisions that only a professional with experience would know, and the whole reception went exceptionally well because of him. Afterwards, many of our guests complimented the all the songs that were played. We had a very good working relationship with Carlton. He was very perceptive of our musical tastes, and he offered a lot of guidance on the areas where we had no idea what to do or play. I can tell you that you’re gonna get a lot more than “just a DJ” when you use McGee Entertainment; he is a very good wedding consultant and gave us a lot of food for thought which we very much appreciated. It was a great experience!

Carlton made our special day one to never forget! He played the best music for each portion of our day and kept the energy up the entire time throughout the reception. He catered to specific audiences at times and it made all the difference in the world! We had an amazing dance moment with the littles towards the end! He purchased a song they requested on the spot to make them happy! We had an absolute blast.
Carlton was accepting and supportive of my wife and I’s special day! We didn’t feel like he treated us any differently than any other couple. We loved his good energy and felt very comfortable with him!
Only request: Update your software/information gathering portal if you plan on continuing taking on same-sex couples! Consider changing Bride and Groom to make it more inclusive possibly “your name/spouse name” “your name/partners name”!

Just WOW! The best of the best
We were a little nervous while trying to find the right DJ for our reception because our music choices were all over the place. From hip hop to old school to Spanish music. When I say Carlton OVER DELIVERED!!! That’s an under statement. He came in had everything set up and ready to go was very respectful and vibrant with a smile on his face. Once he started doing his thing I definitely realized I made the perfect choice. My family was turnt up the entire time. I gave him an idea of our vision and he executed. He was also very flexible because the timeline did not go exactly as discussed but he reassured me that it was our day and he would do whatever we needed him to do. Had he not been working he would’ve fit in with the Fam perfectly!!! I highly recommend his services if you are like me and have a very wide variety of music options or even if not because he made sure to make himself familiar with what we liked either way. We hired DJ Milton for our wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! From the very beginning, he was incredibly professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Carlton was incredibly professional throughout my entire planning experience and was always available for a call or text. Day of, he showed up right on time and was a hit all night! The best DJ!
We are soo glad we went with DJ McGee for our wedding! The DJ is such an important part of your night and they did not miss a beat! They did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception of course. Milton was so professional and well spoken. It was easy to upload our song requests and first dance songs on their website. We chose up lighting too and it looked so great! Milton had ALL of our guests on the dance floor the entire night! Wow. I hired Carlton for our wedding and it was one of the best choices we made in wedding planning. I was pretty stressed when I learned in the wedding planning process that you have to choose songs for each stage of the night, but Carlton's website made everything so smooth and EASY. Loved having McGee entertainment as our DJ! We had some pretty unconventional requests with it being a May 4th Star Wars Wedding but Milton handled it like a pro! Everyone was dancing their hearts out and having a great time! He was also amazing as MC and we had absolutely no hiccups with mics for the toasts! The Best DJ!
We had Milton for our wedding recently and he was fantastic! We were in contact with both Carlton and Milton prior to the wedding and they both always responded right away and answered any questions and concerns we had. DJ Dametris did a wonderful job at our wedding. It was smaller than originally planned but he did a fantastic job of reading the room and picking songs to get almost everyone on the dance floor. He was also great with our ring bearer who requested multiple songs and was the highlight of the dance floor. Communication with them was great and everything went smoothly. We had two different set up locations (beach ceremony and outdoor reception in downtown St. Augustine) and sound at both was fantastic.

This review is almost a year late, but Carlton was our DJ and he did an amazing job! We were clueless about the planning process; all we had to do was give him some general ideas and he was on it! He handled our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and everything went super smoothly. Our guests loved the music and the dance floor was full the entire night! Carlton was amazing! He was very easy to work with, professional, and very responsive. The online portal made it incredibly easy to request songs (or make a do-not-play list) and organize the flow of the ceremony and reception. Several guests commented on how much they loved the DJ and we were on the floor all night! At the last minute we decided to do a private last dance and we are so happy we did, it was a perfect way to end a perfect day!

Dametris is the man!
We did not have to worry at all about the music! The groom had an outline of all the important songs and Dametris did the rest. We had each of our tables dance to the buffet line and he was on it. Our guests had a great time. McGee Entertainment gets two thumbs up from this happy couple!!

Super attentive. Did a great job planning out everything and when asked for suggestions were awesome. They even accommodated the night before suggestions and surprise day of songs for my new sister in law to sing. The vendor even commented they were excited when they saw who we picked because they are so great and easy to work with! Milton was easy to work with and had a great personality for a DJ. Played all the songs we requested. Only had an issue with a song or 2 being the wrong version of it but to be expected with as many songs as you can request. Amazing DJ!!!! We hired Carlton to DJ our daughters wedding, the process was so easy. Everyone that attended the wedding raved about the music. He read the crowd perfectly to keep the party going. These guys delivered on our wedding day.
This company I believe is made up of two brothers. The day of the wedding in particular Milton was our director of sound and of course the DJ. We initially talked with 4 or 5 different options. Carlton & Milton were comparable in price to their competitors, in fact I think they were on average 50 to 100 more affordable with what they charged. Ultimately price was not the number one decider for us. We just seemed to connect with Milton when we talked on the phone. He is professional. At the same time, he came across as laid back, likable, and seemed to put me personally at ease. He is a genuine guy you can relate to. He knows what he's doing. The day of the wedding he delivered and kept things moving and lively. He also stayed an extra half hour for us since we had extended our wedding time at our venue a bit. He is now part of our life long memory of our wedding day. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!

A great DJ & Emcee
We had Carlton as the DJ for our wedding and he was perfect for us from the start, the process was so easy with him- we got to make our playlist and he said he loved every bit of it and was excited to play it and make it fun. The reception was a blast, and our guests loved going up to him to request songs. The flow of the music was perfect, the dance floor stayed packed the whole night. He also made sure he pronounced everyone’s name perfectly and he just paid attention to detail. He was wonderful and I would definitely recommend McGee Entertainment for your wedding!

We would recommend McGee Entertainment to anyone looking for the best DJ in town. We got married at The Treasury in St. Augustine in September 2019 and we had Milton as our DJ and Emcee. DJ Carlton McGee absolutely crushed it at our wedding. He kept the dance floor full all night. The transitions and song choices were great… he took our few suggestions and created a real party atmosphere. It was just like being at the club like we hoped it would be. We had a bunch of guest telling us how good he was and asking us where in the world we found him. Wonderful! Kept the dancefloor crowded all night!
Choosing music for our wedding was a huge decision for us, and we knew having the 'right' DJ was so instrumental for that. We were so nervous picking a DJ because we knew we wanted a DJ that would keep our dance floor crowded and partying all night, read the crowds vibes, and really keep the flow of our wedding going smoothly. Carlton with McGee couldn't have done all these things, and more, any more perfectly! From our first conversations he was warm, engaging, and put our minds at ease that we would be in good hands with him. He was great to work with and provides a personalized wedding portal for us before our wedding, so we were able to add all our favorite songs (and least favorite!). He took the time with us to go over everything, from the vibe of the night we wanted, what announcements, entrances, etc he would need to make, what songs we wanted, etc and did everything flawlessly! He also provided music for our cocktail hour and during dinner. He even got on the dance floor at one point to help us with a line dance! Cannot recommend McGee and Carlton enough for a professional, fun, and engaging DJ/Emcee to keep everything running all night- at the last song, people we begging for another!

McGee Entertainment was absolutely amazing at our wedding at Casa Marina in Jacksonville Beach. Milton McGee was our DJ and he was incredible. We had specific requests for the ceremony and dinner and he played them and then kept the party going for our dance party. A Party Ain't A Party Without McGee Entertainment
I remember it like it was yesterday. My now Wife and I were making our rounds at the Premier Bridal Expo and we could hardly stay focused on what the other vendors were saying because of the awesome playlist that DJ Dametris had created for the event! It was legit hit after hit after hit and even the other attendees had stopped to gather around the booth for a mini dance break, talk about crowd control haha! My Wife and I LOVE to dance so having a great DJ was of the upmost importance to us. As previously mentioned we chose DJ Dametris as our DJ, whose fun-loving and energetic personality captivated us. Aside from our food haha, DJ Dametris was what we were the most excited about and looking forward to on our day. We consistently bragged to family and friends about how great our DJ was going to be leading up to wedding! Carlton and Dametris were both professional, helpful, and accommodating throughout the entire process. Thankfully my wife suggested we utilize Mcgee Entertainment for our ceremony as well, in which Dametris did a phenomenal job hitting all of the music cues to help produce the perfect ceremony. A pertinent example of McGee Ent. being accommodating was, in addition to the reception, DJ Dametris provided an outside setup of equipment so that we'd have music during our cocktail hour. I heard afterwards from a family member that he popped over before the ceremony to do this and had the music already playing for our guest once they arrived! DJ Dametris did an exceptional job reading the room and keeping the dance floor occupied but I would be remiss not acknowledge the remarkable job he did as an MC as well. Everything truly flowed for us during the reception and that wouldn't have happened without him. Dametris and McGee Entertainment definitely lived up to the hype. Dametris was truly able take the abundance of the love and energy in the room, fine tune it, and use it to create an everlasting experience. We are forever grateful for Mcgee Entertainment being apart of our entire day, from start to finish (ceremony to reception), we wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

My Day-of-Coordinator recommended McGee Entertainment and gave glowing reviews. She was so right! My husband and I carefully curated a playlist of music that was special to us and our friends and family. We worked with Carlton, who was happy to take our playlist and include each song at our wedding! He listened and made suggestions where he thought were necessary regarding timing and we appreciated each of them. He also was right on with reading the crowd and incorporating other related music that gave the night a great vibe. It also happened to be his birthday and he worked so hard to keep the the flow throughout the entire event--so we had to stop, thank him, and sing him happy birthday! Carlton and Milton were awesome to work with and super nice! We had Milton as our DJ and he did a wonderful job MC'ing and with the selection of music. McGee has an awesome webpage where you provide them with all your wedding information and you can pick all of your songs on it, kind of like an iTunes. Carlton was absolutely one of the best vendors we worked with and we had a stellar team. It thunderstormed minutes before our outdoor ceremony, and the string musicians suddenly could no longer play. He completely saved the day by jumping in and playing gorgeous ceremony music on the spot without hesitation.
And, even days after the wedding we had so many people comment on how great the reception music was.
He really worked with me to weave in our favorite songs and then took them and ran to create the perfect mix. He was also excellent at reading the crowd and kept the party dancing all night.

Such a fun wedding !
My husband and I got married at chandler oaks barn in st Augustine on 1/25/19. Mcgee entertainment was our DJ and they were INCREDIBLE!! They are so easy to work with, easy to get a hold of, very respectful and so much fun. The music was spot on and everything was as promised by them. Our dance floor was full all night and our guest count was only 55. Everyone said they loved our music. I highly recommend them!

What a fantastic DJ Milton is! He was great and informative during the planning process and met with us a month before to walk through the ceremony and timeline. He was prepared for a back up plan for an indoor ceremony at the White Room in St. Augustine in case our Rooftop/Loft wedding got rained out which luckily it didn’t! He had a great setup for music that sounded great with some dance floor lightning! He kept things moving and on time with the help of the reception staff. Everything went extremely smooth. They have a great website that makes music selection for the ceremony and reception seamless! Can’t express how awesome Milton and McGee Entertainment was! Would hire for any wedding or event! The best DJ if you want your guests to say they had the best time!
We wish we could give Carlton 10 stars!! Even 2 weeks later we have had countless guests call and say it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. We had a huge dance floor, & he kept it packed with everyone dancing the entire reception! He lets you pick your own music, but we were happy that we left room for him to read the crowd to play music that would keep everyone up and having fun too. He got up and was helping people learn the line dances (even my grandparents were up learning them and dancing the entire time). Carlton also went above and beyond on our wedding day. I wanted to sing and play guitar to perform a song i wrote for my husband. He arranged mics and stands to make it possible. We also wanted music playing during our sparkler exit, & he put a speaker outside to make that possible as well. If you want your guests to have fun at your wedding McGee entertainment is a MUST! McGee Ent. did a phenomenal job at our wedding. He not only played all our suggested playlist songs, but took requests that aligned with what we wanted. We had a great time and would highly recommend them in the future.

McGee Entertainment was unbelievable! They were flexible and helpful right from the start. And even though we waited till last minute to organize and request are ceremony music, they were so helpful and ready to go day of. The reception was a blast, they allowed guest to make requests, and kept the party going! There was no judgement of my silly party-people’s requests, the DJ played everyone! I can’t say enough good things about McGee, they really made my wedding and reception unforgettable!!!

McGee Entertainment provides an amazing experience from start to finish. We had sought them out after seeing them work with our friends at their wedding a couple years ago. Carlton & Milton are both very professional and enthusiastic. Very quick to respond to emails and calls/texts which was so important to us during the planning process. Milton arrived with more than enough time to set up and make sure everything ran smoothly. He made every announcement with style and made sure the wedding party was announced correctly. He helped to keep the timeline on track, there was never a lull in between different activities and dancing. All of our music requests were met and Milton stuck to our "do not play" list even when a guest requested a song from it. He was able to keep guests on the dance floor throughout the night and chose music that went with the vibe of the guests. Everything was on point! Thank you so much McGee Entertainment!

May 19th 2018 was another chapter in our son's life, a husband. Planning a wedding can be quite stressful. The vendors who are chosen has a most important role within the wedding event. Mr. Dametris, of McGee entertainment, exceeded far above expectations! It is most important for the Bride and Groom to make certain that their guest are well pleased. They have taken out the time to share in your most memorable event. Mr Dametris interactions with the guest, balance blend of music & social skills made this occasion one to always pleasingly to remember. The wedding was held on the beach. The guest were also seated inside. McGee Entertainment has state of the art equipment. The outside guest were able via microphone, to hear the entertainment from the outside as well. I simply cannot say enough to show how much this company service made our son's big day one would want to look back on with fond memories. Thank you Mr. Dametris, you will be highly recommended!

Carlton was our DJ for my daughter’s wedding a few weeks ago, and I can’t say enough good things about the service he provided us. It could not have been better! From start to finish he was great to work with. He was prompt to answer my questions during the planning process and was flexible in scheduling a phone conference with my daughter to discuss details before the wedding as they live out of the area. My daughter and her now husband only selected a few songs – first dance, parents’ dances, etc., and left pretty much everything else up to Carlton. He read the crowd perfectly and had them dancing the entire time. The music was fantastic, and we didn't want it to end. He was a terrific emcee and knew just how to interact with the crowd without being obtrusive. He definitely helped to make the evening amazing for all of us. Thank you!

I could not have been more happy that we chose McGee Entertainment to DJ our wedding. Carlton was wonderful to work with in the months leading up to the wedding. He was easy to reach and extremely helpful. He was awesome at helping us transition through cocktail hour and dinner with a great mix and then when it was time for dancing, he nailed it!!! There was a perfect variety of music and he kept everyone dancing and having a great time. He was also great at helping us stay on track throughout the night with the timing of different activities. I would highly recommend Carlton and his team for any event!

McGee Entertainment provides you with a professional service which leads to an unforgettable experience that holds great memories for your entire guest. My wife and I had booked McGee Entertainment for our wedding at Serenata Beach Club. Every aspect of the process leading up to our wedding was outstanding; from the initial consultation to the final meeting we scheduled for our song selections. On the night of our wedding, Dametris arrived 2 hours early to set up and prep without the need to stress and to give himself well enough time prior to our ceremony. During the ceremony, Dametris made sure that the announcement of the wedding party was done correctly as we had several wedding party members that could not be found after our pictures were taken.
During the reception, Dametris created a synergy on the dance floor between both families that was incredible. This was especially shocking to me as my side of the family is very old fashioned and structured and my wife family is more laid back. The music selection and the blend between songs was incredible. My wife and I had never seen my dad dance more than 3 seconds, if that, prior to the reception and during the reception he danced the entire time. Thanks McGee Entertainment for bringing together a night to remember for our family!

McGee Entertainment was very responsive throughout the whole process leading up the wedding. Dimitris (hope I spelled that right), was extremely professional and helped us to iron out the details when we met him a week before the wedding. He was very accommodating and flexible in adjusting to last minute changes and my daughter's wedding and reception went off without a hitch. Couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I highly recommend them!!

I loved McGee Entertainment from the moment I first heard and saw their booth at my first Bridal show to seeing them play at my Bestfriend's wedding to MY own fairytale wedding. This is one exceptional DJ company. Carlton listened to everything we requested and told him, super friendly, and accommodating. We asked to add 6 more uplighting last minute and it was not a problem for them, they were equipped with everything. Super professional. Carlton's is well spoken, a perfect MC. He stated all the names perfectly. Carlton plays to the crowd. My dance floor was packed! We loved it! My Dad was so impressed with him and their service. I couldn't asked for a better DJ! Seriously Mcgee entertainment, Carlton, you were one of the reasons why our wedding was so perfect!

Milton was the most amazing DJ! He responded quickly to emails, included everything we spoke about in the experience, and even included free lighting since we were military. Milton knew when to change up the mood and really did a wonderful job reading the crowd. His voice sounds like it’s straight from a radio show and my friends and family loved him. Don’t hesitate to hire McGee entertainment for your wedding!!

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Carlton. He kept things moving smoothly, reacted on the fly when needed, and was not intrusive in any way during the wedding. Furthermore, he offers an online portal in which you can choose the songs you want and do not want played at the event. Five Stars across the board!

I could not speak more highly of Carlton! Our reception was easily one of the most fun we’ve been too. He kept the party going, made sure everyone knew what to do and where to go, and was just a joy to work with. I would book him again in a heartbeat and will recommend him to all my friends!!

Carlton was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He really cares about you as a couple, and wants to make your party one that is absolutely unforgettable. Some of our friends have already asked us for his contact info so they can have him DJ their events as well. I promise you, if Carlton is your DJ, you won't leave the dance floor all night, and neither will your guests.

We would absolutely recommend McGee Entertainment to anyone looking for a quality DJ for their wedding or party. The one thing we did not want was a DJ who required us to come up with a playlist for our wedding. We wanted a DJ that could read the crowd and play what the people wanted within our guidelines. McGee has this great online portal where we could input certain information about our wedding as well as add songs to a request list and a "do not play" list. We procrastinated updating the website, and the week before the wedding we spoke with Carlton about the types of music we did and did not want to hear. He definitely got the picture, and the reception was a blast! Friends and family were raving about how awesome the DJ was. We are so appreciative to Carlton and the McGee group for bringing the party to life!!!

Milton provided DJ services for our wedding on December 16th. I cannot say enough about how wonderful he was! The stress of planning a wedding was getting to me but I knew when I met with Milton a couple of weeks before that our DJ was one vendor I didn't have to stress over. He was so incredibly nice and helpful and constantly reassured me not to worry. He also had awesome song suggestions! He played all of the songs I asked for at the right times throughout the night and the songs he chose to fill time were awesome. I was getting compliments on him all night. He also got out on the dance floor and demonstrated some of the dances...which I loved! At one point my drink was knocked from my hand on the dance floor and he went to the restroom, got paper towels, and came out and cleaned it up. Amazing!! We initially dealt with Carlton when booking and he was very responsive and easy to work with as well. I will recommend them to everyone!

Carlton is amazing!! He kept the party going the whole time at my wedding even when he had to deal with rude guests (sorry about that). Shout out to the cupid shuffle tutorial he gave! Carlton was absolutely amazing! Our guests were on the dance floor all night long. He played a great variety of music that kept the range of age groups we had up dancing.
