Very disappointed with Mike Berrios. Great Sales Pitch with false promises. My wedding was on 4/27/13 at the Post Card Inn in Isla Morada, Florida. Another DJ came on his behalf with the excuse of Family Emergency. I was promised 3 Microphones and the DJ provided 2 being that he was informed to fill in the day before my wedding. Beware to all future brides and grooms! Mike Berrios is a Con artist by over pricing couples and not able to commit to his events.

Our experience with Mike Berrios was simply astounding. Mike has put a great many years into refining and perfecting his craft and it shows in every detail of his work. Mike was booked as a wedding gift to us from one of the top Djs in the country, and that alone says volumes about how his peers respect his incredible talent and his dedication to excellence.
- Mike's website on which we booked our wedding was so fantastic in detailing our wishes for the ceremony, that it made US as a couple realize of things we hadn't yet thought of in regards to music for Bridal march, announcements, introductions of the wedding party, garter toss, etc. It was really an educational and user friendly tool that helped us put our personal signature touch on every step of the celebration we were designing for ourselves. Why over-scrutinize every other aspect of your wedding and leave the entire sound & mood of the night to chance? The software in the website itself allows you to choose from thousands of songs and decades worth of music. I really can't express in words how valuable, helpful, and incredible the website was in customizing our event into a night that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
- In person, the experience was again fascinating to witness. Mike was prepared on the spot with solutions to some issues we hadn't considered. He was able to put a wireless mic on my tuxedo so that our vows could be heard by our families - all I could think of was - "What if we had missed that?" "What if the most important part of our wedding was lost because nobody heard it..?" Mike was nothing short of an MVP to our wedding. There are not enough words to say how thankful we are to Mike Berrios and his team for the outstanding job they all did for our wedding. Everyone we had the pleasure to work with at MB Entertainment exceeded all of our expectations for the perfect soundtrack to our reception and afterparty. MB was one of the first vendors we booked for our wedding, over 18 months in advance, and Mike made sure to touch base with us every single month leading up to our date to make sure all our questions and wants were being addressed and noted. He went above and beyond excellent customer service and really made an effort to get to know us, our tastes and what we wished for. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and a true professional. My husband and I are extremely picky when it comes to music, we're into some not so mainstream bands and music genres, and Mike knew exactly how to incorporate this style into our wedding while still making sure all our guests were equally enjoying the music. Mike made sure to keep necessary annoucements short and sweet with just the perfect amount of enthusiasm for our guests to feel the excitement, but without being cheesey or over-the-top. The afterparty DJ from MB Entertainment was hands down one of the best club DJs we've ever heard, every single person was dancing and all of our guests are still raving about the music (3 weeks later). Mike nailed it!!! We hired MB Entertainment for our recent wedding and reception. During the planning process, I had a very specific vision of the different styles of music that I wanted playing before the ceremony, during dinner and for the reception. Because I was nervous, Mike took the time to have phone calls with me in the weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure that he had a clear understanding of everything I envisioned. It made me feel so comfortable and confident! On the day of the wedding, Mike arrived extremely early to walk the site and let me know that he was on top of everything. I really appreciated the extra effort. We're a fun couple that wanted nothing cheesy and Mike really delivered! He added great music to compliment our playlists. Our guests are still saying that they've never had so much fun at a wedding!! Mike also timed everything PERFECTLY. He even coordinated with our firework vendor to make sure our fireworks show started at the exact second that the chorus of Katy Perry Firework started. It was amazing! If you're looking for good music (we had everything from Kanye West to Katy Perry and ACDC) then definitely hire MB!

I have never written a review on anything before, but since I was so disappointed with my agreement with DJ Mike Berrios, I figured I should let others know he is a talented salesman, but did not show up for my wedding. His vehicle broke down 2 hours away from the wedding. He did not come, he sent someone else. The replacement was okay, but myself and my bridesmaids had to redirect him multiple times about using "mashups" instead of the full song (he would play 30 seconds of the requested song and add in other songs instead of just playing the song which he had. I got them all off the website so I know he had them). I think the most embarrassing part though was a few of my female guests said the DJ was taking pictures of him with his phone (or video?) and had to tell him to stop. It was so bad, at the end of the wedding, my husband saw me upset in my wedding dress and said some pretty rude things to the DJ about Mike. After the event, I told Mike multiple times I was not happy, he did not work with me to rectify the situation and even stated "I should have gone with another DJ". Anyway, as this is my first review on anything or anyone, I would warn against using Mike or his company. If anyone was wondering, I paid $1,600 in full close to 1 year prior to the wedding to make sure Mike would be there. That was for a 5 hour wedding. If you paid that much, I am sure you would want what you paid for. Not a replacement DJ who did not listen to the bride and bridal party but DID take creepy photos of them with his phone. And to top it all off, he did not call to apologize the next day.

Mike was amazing! The value for the service he provided was excellent, super easy to work with and really friendly! He helped to make our day not only special but hassle free and easy!!

Mike did a great job with reading how guests were responding to the music and selecting music. He was very open to my music selections and found songs that were not well known but that my guests requested. My guests were very entertained and we all had a wonderful time. Thanks, Mike!

Mike Was AWESOME! No complaints at all!

We used MB for our traditional morning Hindu ceremony as well as our evening reception. The ceremony went smoothly, with MB playing the correct songs (most of which he was unfamiliar with) at all the right times. The reception was EXCELLENT! He assessed the crowd thoughtout the evening and played the right music at every stage of the night. He kept everyone on the dance floor until the very end. We STILL get compliments on the DJ! Mike Berrios is the real deal!

I never write bad reviews, but I was so unhappy with the service that I feel like I have to. In the beginning my husband and I felt confident with our selection, they have an online portal, a bit outdated, but we were able to put music that we liked. That's all the positives. About 2 weeks before the wedding, we wanted to speak with the DJ, make sure our selections on line made sense, we wanted certain music during cocktail hour, etc. But we were never able to speak with anyone. We were told our DJ would be one person, ended up being another. I have compiled a short list of what went wrong:
1. the bridal march, continued for good 30 seconds after I reached the alter
2. Our recessional music didnt start until again 30 seconds after we kissed. Aisle was very short, not good
3. Music during dinner was only supposed to be the Beach Boys. We wanted it to be a fun ambiance, but music that no one wanted to dance to. Not 1 Beach Boy song was played. This was a big deal to us.
4. When we took the big group shot wedding photo, my husband and I in the middle and everyone surround us, the DJ came and put his arm around my husband during the me kissing him on the cheek pic, thanks for ruining that!

There are so many more things, but I am getting mad just writing about it.

They have wonderful reviews, that is why we chose them, I guess make sure you speak with them ahead of time to outline everything you need. But the mistakes that were made were really amateur.

MB Entertainment-Mike-A+++ Mike was AWESOME! He made the reception everything we hoped it could be. His personality is wonderful. He was not only our DJ, but he became a friend through this process. He mixed our vows into our first dance song perfectly. He went above and beyond for us.

Overall, MB Entertainment was really great to work with. We had a good idea of the music we wanted at our wedding, but were unsure about cocktail hour music and the ceremony. He gave me some really unique ideas that went with our style. I was very comfortable knowing they would show up on time, be professional and play the right music.

When I found out Mike wasn't going to be the actual DJ at our wedding, I was a little upset because the DJ he chose had a very thick Spanish accent. I was worried my family and friends wouldn't be able to understand him when he announced the wedding party. Knowing I wasn't feeling comfortable, Mike sent a second DJ, who has an amazing speaking and singing voice, to introduce the wedding party. Mike did whatever it took to make us happy and ensure we felt great about our wedding. And just FYI - the DJ was great and played everything we asked for, played music in the genre we liked and kept the flow of the reception going very well.

During the wedding, we requested to extend the reception an extra half hour and they accommodated us. We paid the extra fee on the spot, and it was no problem at all.

I highly recommend MB Entertainment. Not everything will go 100% smoothly at your wedding, but you will not have to worry about anything going wrong with the DJ if you go with them!

I have recieved numerous emails, phone calls, and facebook messages from my guests saying they have never had such a great time at a wedding. I believe whole-heartedly that Mike is the main reason for this. He read the crowd and knew when to play what songs. He was a wonderful and professional MC, and I would not change ONE thing about how the wedding went. If you want to have the absolute best wedding event, you must hire Mike to DJ and MC your event.

I did not have the great experience other brides did with MB Entertainment. Things started off great, but quickly went downhill. For starters, we were supposed to have a slideshow at our wedding for which we paid MB Entertainment to put on. In order to have all of our bases covered we were to mail them a copy of the DVD prior to our event, bring a copy with us and put a copy on the computer that we were providing for the slideshow to be played. We complied with all requests. The DJ's bulb blew on his projector when setting up the slideshow and he did not have a back up. The very next day I asked him to get a refund for the projector...it took almost 3 months to receieve it. After being told repeatedly that it was coming I had to threaten to dispute the claim with my credit card company in order to receive the actual refund. On top of this, the DJ did not introduce my wedding party. After receiving a request from one of my bridesmaids he chose not to honor it. I asked him about it and he proceeded to play 3 consecutive songs by the artist requested in rebuttal, which I found very unprofessional. All in all, I would not recommend this company.

Mike is a true Professional in every sense of the word! A few problems arose having to do with the hotel where the wedding took place and Mike was right there to handle every situation. As mother of the bride, I was a bit worried about the details, but Mike was right there to reassure me and make sure things ran smoothly. He definately made my daughter's wedding a day to remember! He is SO much more than your "typical" D.J. . . . I wish I had another party coming up so I could hire Mike as the ultimate party host!

Buyer beware!! Here is the shortened story about how the owner of MB Entertainment, Mike Berrios', lack of professionalism and personal problems nearly ruined our wedding. For his sake, I won't divulge all of his personal issues here that he was so kind to share with us, his client.

Since music was the most important aspect of our wedding we booked Mike, not any DJ from MB entertainment, but Mike, over a year prior to our wedding. He assured us he would be our DJ with his name on the contract as the assigned DJ for our wedding. We paid $400 more than we were originally going to spend because we wanted Mike.

After our initial meeting we received the standard "auto response emails" that every couple gets from MB, but leading up to the event (starting 2 months in advance) he was very hard to get on the phone and often caused us to reschedule because he could not keep the scheduled call time. He never apologized for this, which caused us to miss other wedding appointments that we had scheduled. This should have been our first clue.

1 week pre wedding: We set up a time to review our song choices. After several attempts, we finally got Mike on the phone well after our scheduled call time. He said several times on the call "in the event I won't be there on the day of..." So our day of wedding coordinator confronted him about these comments in an email, where he proceeded to respond with detailed information about his personal problems and how his "head wasn't in the right place" and that he would know more early in the week, when he had more info on his personal problems. (Keep in mind he had ALL of our money at this point).

5 days pre wedding: I called and advised him we could not wait any longer to find out what was happening with our wedding and we would need to meet his replacement asap, if that was going to be the case. He said he wasn't sure what was going to happen until late on Tuesday, but that Bobby V. would probably be the guy. I told him we needed an answer as we still wanted him (Mike) as DJ, since that's who we originally signed the contract for. He said he would call the next day.

4 days pre wedding: NO CALL from Mike. I called and advised him we could not wait any longer and we would need to meet his replacement asap. At this point, Mike was flaky, not on time with his follow up and self stated that his "head was in the clouds." So we didn't know if he was going to completely flake out, go off the deep end or if we were going to have a DJ at all. We could not leave this to chance so we met a few other DJs for a back up plan. I told Mike we needed an answer. He then assigned us Bobby V.

So we met Bobby 4 days before the wedding. He showed up extremely disinterested, overtired and complaining the entire time about how he had been up all night recording, how he was triple booked the weekend of our wedding and that he had to drive back from Key West the day of our wedding. He had not been prepped by Mike for the meeting and had no idea what we were looking to do for our wedding. Needless to say, we were not impressed. He then told us that Mike was starting to ruin his business over his personal problems and then started talking very negatively about marriage (4 days before our wedding).

3 days pre wedding: I told Mike about our meeting and asked if Bobby was just tired or if this was typical behavior. Mike overreacted and started flipping out about how he needed to find a replacement. I appreciated that he wanted to make this right, but I told him that wasn't necessarily what we wanted to do. We had no time left to meet a new DJ and that was a requirement of ours. I told Mike NOT to make any decisions without informing us of our options first. Mike advised he would call back at 8 pm. NO CALL.

2 days pre wedding: I called Mike and he said he was in an emergency hearing at the court with his ex wife and that he would call back at 12pm. NO CALL. I called him, wondering what was going to happen with our wedding. He told me that Bobby was having problems of his own and that his head was not on straight due to personal issues that I'll refrain from mentioning. Mike said he "fixed" everything and took another back up DJ, Joey, off his "boring corporate gig". I told him we needed to speak with Joey asap as we were out of time.

1 day pre wedding - Joey insisted on meeting us after offering multiple options to skype/conference call and after meeting him it was clear why. (Keep in mind at this point, we were supposed to be spending time with our families who were in town just for a couple days.) Joey had not been prepped at all by Mike besides sending him an outdated list of songs. He didn't know that there needed to be two DJs, how many set ups, etc. However, Joey turned out to be great! He was very reassuring and repeated multiple times that he was so glad he got to meet us because he wasn't getting any info from Mike or anyone else after asking several times. He said that Billy Gotti would be the MC and that we'd meet him at our wedding. We spent as much time with Joey as possible, but we had other commitments and were missing spending time with our families, yet again, due to more issues with Mike and MB.

Day of Wedding: We met Billy just before getting announced when he advised us that he was not an employee of Mike's, but did it as a favor to Joey since Joey wasn't given the proper resources. He advised us that he doesn't usually do weddings. So the mistakes that happened were due purely to Mike's lack of preparation of his employee. A song was played during the ceremony that we had cut for a very specific reason, 3 of the dedications were missed and only 2 of the songs that were must plays for the reception were played. I do not blame Joey/Billy since Mike did not prepare his staff, but this was not what we paid for especially after reviewing it 4 times with MB. For the record, I would hire Joey or Billy, outside of MB entertainment, given there was plenty of prep time for the event.

All in all the major issue was that we were put through a tremendous amount of stress the week of our wedding that didn't end until 11am the day before. The mistakes could have been avoided if it wasn't for Mike's irresponsible behavior, the last minute changes and the personal problems of Mike and his staff. The fact of the matter is, that neither Mike nor his employees personal issues should have affected us. We paid more to have Mike as our DJ and he backed out. He was unreliable and unprofessional and although he tried to adjust schedules to find someone better than his first replacement, mistakes were made because he did not prepare his staff.

Imagine adding this UNDUE stress - not knowing if you have a DJ or ceremony music and missing family events that only happen one time in your life - onto the regular week-of-wedding stress that's standard with every wedding.

5 days post wedding:
I spoke with Mike and tried to explain to him the hell he put us through. I advised him that we are reasonable people and that we were empathetic about his situation, but that it should not have affected us. I told him we were extremely disappointed and that it took away from enjoyment of our wedding and weeks leading up to the wedding. Not only did we barely sleep due to not knowing if we were going to have a DJ, but we lost precious time with our families running around trying to fix this situation.

During the call Mike took no responsibility for any part of what happened and didn't seem to care how much UNDUE stress he created for us. I asked him to do the right thing, whatever he felt that would be, and he insisted he did nothing wrong.

I would strongly recommend not hiring Mike. Leaving such an important part of your wedding to chance on a DJ/business owner who doesn't appear to care about what he puts his clients through, is not a risk anyone should take for such an important day.
