Before meeting Julie, I felt anxious about hiring someone to do my wedding makeup. As a non-confrontational person, I had experienced past beauty sessions where I didn’t feel comfortable pushing back when the artist didn’t achieve exactly what I had in mind. I also don’t personally wear much makeup, and was afraid of not not feeling like myself with the pounds of makeup typically expected for brides.
With Julie as my makeup and hair stylist, these fears were total non-issues. From our first email exchange, Julie made me feel like I had a great vision for my wedding look (which is flattering because she herself has the coolest style and portfolio!), and over time I felt less fear and more excitement. She was just as cool, supportive, and friendly in person during our makeup trials, and I was surprised with how much I enjoyed figuring out elements of the look in person. We figured out a look that made me feel like an elevated version of myself, which is exactly what I wanted.
On the actual wedding day, Julie was the vendor I needed at the beginning of the wedding day. Her calm, kind presence kept me about as relaxed as I could be, and she of course did a great job of glamming up both me and the two other family members. I appreciate her so much for how she me feel both physically and emotionally on my special day.
Long story short, Julie was amazing to work with and I look forward to working with her again for other life events.

We could not have chosen a more perfect hair and makeup artist for our wedding! From the start, Julie was so sweet, professional, easy to work with, and responsive to my millions of questions. She was very receptive to my ideas, while also giving incredibly helpful recommendations based on the look I wanted, the size of my bridal party, and our day-timeline.
The night before my trial with Julie, I ended up getting an eye infection and had to cancel last minute. Julie was so understanding and, knowing that I was visiting from out of town for a short period of time, offered to reschedule the trial later during my visit and after the eye infection passed. The trial eventually happened, and it was so much fun! Julie was so sweet and her calmness helped me to relax and really be present in the moment. She nailed the look I wanted on the first try and after seeing just a few of my inspo photos.
On my wedding day, Julie and her team arrived early and were ready to go as soon as the first appointments were scheduled. Julie replicated the look she did during the trial perfectly. She even incorporated these hairpins with lace appliques from my husband's grandmother's wedding gown, which she had helped me to make prior to the wedding. My husband's family were all so touched when they saw the hairpins later. All of our VIP ladies (1 bride, 7 bridesmaids, 1 groomswoman, 2 moms, 1 officiant) looked stunning, and Julie's team even had time to do light hair and makeup for my husband, and hair for two of our flower girls. Julie and her team also helped to keep the atmosphere light and cheerful in the bridal suite.
We would absolutely loved working with Julie and would hire her again in a heartbeat! -

Stunning hair + makeup delivered with poise and kindness
Julie and her team made me look -- and feel! -- beautiful and confident on my wedding day. I'm thrilled with how everything turned out - we had a variety of skin tones and hair types, and a wide variety of asks and they were all perfectly fulfilled. The makeup lasted through the whole night, and I felt golden the entire time thanks to the perfect makeup and hair. Julie is also very responsive by email. I can't recommend Julie highly enough. -

Julie is the best! Julie and her friend did the makeup for me, my mom, MIL, and my whole bridal party for my wedding in wine country in Aug 2018, and all I can say is Julie is great! From our trial session, I knew that I didn't need to shop around for another makeup artist. I felt really pretty and confident on my wedding day, and it's all because of Julie - she was able to achieve a natural look that enhanced my features. I was obsessed with how my makeup turned out, and to think I'm not even used to wearing makeup on a daily basis. The makeup lasted the whole night too! She also has this calming presence that you'll want to have especially on your wedding day. If I can give Julie 10 stars I would! She is absolutely amazing!! -
User2261911 Sent on 08/08/2015Julie is amazingly talented! Julie did my makeup for both my engagement photos and my wedding. My husband made one request for my 'wedding look' and that was natural. Julie more than delivered on his request and my makeup for both events was great. Specifically on the day of the wedding, my makeup withstood sweat and tears :-).
I went for a run outside right before my wedding day and wound up with some minor tan lines. I called Julie and she quickly calmed me down and had a great solution to make sure my tan lines were blended in well and not visible.
Julie was also extremely responsive and timely through all my experiences with her. She also has a great personality so is fun to work with. I highly recommend Julie to all brides out there! -

Stephanie Sent on 02/10/2014Julie did my makeup in 2012. There were 7 total women including the moms, but she did all of our makeup herself. It took me many trials with different artists before I worked with Julie. She was very attentive to the style you want and your skin type. I do not wear makeup on a daily basis. I was extremely happy with her work! I also received many compliments on the makeup. It felt natural and it was a glowy bridal look. The products she used were great and I became a fan of Laura Mercier. Thank you Julie! -
User1001965 Sent on 11/03/2012I booked Julie for makeup on my wedding day for myself, 4 bridesmaids and 2 mothers. Immediately during the makeup trial, I could tell that Julie is a great person and really cares about what she does. She is very personable. She did an amazing job during the trial and my fiance (now husband) at the time was really impressed how natural the makeup was. On the wedding day, she did an amazing job with makeup for everyone including applying lashes on us all. The lashes were so natural and glamourous at the same time, without the look that those lashes are so fake. All my bridesmaids seemed to be having a good time talking to Julie when it was their turn. And my makeup stayed on all night. I would highly recommend Julie for wedding makeup!
