Louis is great!
First I would like to mention Louis drove out in a snow storm to take our engagement photos and they turned out incredible. On my wedding day Louis showed up on time and started snapping away! The day flew by so I am extremely excited to see what he captured. Also he took me and my wife in his car to take pictures at the new Druthers. We were lucky enough to be blessed with a beautiful sunset which he was able to capture as well! -

What a fun photographer
I'm going through my list of vendors finally, and Louis was so much fun to work with. Worth every single shilling and we can't wait for our one year anniversary, so he can take our photos again. You will love working with him just as much as we did, guaranteed. -

Best wedding photos ever

We love our wedding photos
We hired Louis to capture our wedding day about two years ago and we immediately scheduled our engagement session. My husband drives a truck and isn't much of a photo type of person but after our session, he started to look forward to having photos at our wedding. We got married at the Century House in Latham in the middle of winter and although it was cold, Louis was there with us having fun and made everyone laugh. We both agreed that he helped make our stressful day much more fun. -

I love my wedding photos
Louis worked within our budget which was helpful since we were paying for the entire wedding. He was referred to us by another wedding photographer who was booked and we are glad he did. Everyone really enjoyed his fun and outgoing personality and we look forward to having Louis take our family photos with our daughter next Spring. -

Louis is the best
All I can say is we still laugh when we talk about our wedding day and the one constant is how funny Louis was and how he made everyone feel at ease. He was worth every penny. -

The best photographer in the capital region!
My husband and I booked Louis for our August 16th wedding and I cannot say enough good things about him! He is professional, efficient, and so talented. More importantly, he’s SO much fun to work with. He laughed and cried with us and let us enjoy every special moment. We didn’t have to pose for hours or fake smile: each moment he captured was authentic and real. My husband and I felt like Louis became apart of our wedding party as he celebrated with us!
With Louis, you get quality and efficiency! Louis worked so hard to get our photos to us quickly and we were so thankful because lots of photographers take over 8 weeks to send you anything at all. We were dying to relive our perfect day and Louis did not disappoint. When we looked through our photos, we were amazed by how beautifully he captured each moment and how the photos captured who we are as a couple. We can not recommend Louis enough!-

Fantastic Photographer!
I'm beyond impressed with Louis Torres! My cousin said she had the best photographer for her wedding and I didnt believe her until I witnessed such a true professional. He was so much fun and went above and beyond helping to keep the day stress free while taking the most beautiful pictures!

You've found your photographer!
My husband and I are extremely pleased with our choice of photographer in Louis Torres!! He arrived early, and got to work right away documenting our special day. When you hire a wedding photographer you want someone who truly knows what they're doing - who will know what shots they'll need to capture to tell a complete story of the day, who will work with you to make sure you get the shots you want, and who knows how to best direct all of the people involved. Louis did all of that and so much more!!
Louis' experience meant he had a great sense for how things should flow, and he knew where to be at all the right moments. He even suggested a slight schedule change for our couple portraits, but we trusted him fully and it honestly worked out better than what we had originally planned! He worked perfectly with our videographers, checking with them every step of the way to make sure they had gotten what they needed before we moved on, and coordinating efforts to make sure that they stayed out of each others shots.
It was amazing to watch Louis work with our friends and family, as he had his own bag of tricks for getting people to laugh! His efforts resulted in genuine smiles out of everyone within a few seconds of trying. Throughout our entire day Louis was excited, funny, and a constant source of energy! When you're working with someone who very clearly loves their job and is so experienced, you can't help but be put at ease yourself! Then the only thing left is to simply enjoy your day with your best friend, and that's exactly what we did! :)
Louis has already shared a few images from our wedding day and we are blown away by how beautiful they are! We are so excited to see all the special moments he captured of not only the two of us but our family and friends! Thank you again, Louis for your outstanding work!!
If you're considering booking his services, just go ahead and do it. We promise you will not regret it! 10/10 would book again! -

Louis is THE best!
Louis is one of the most compassionate and fun photographers I have ever met. Honestly, wedding photos can be an easily be one of the most exhausting portions of a wedding, He made the photo portion of the wedding such a fun and easy experience for everyone involved. He radiates enthusiasm and passion for what he does, and you can truly see that in his attitude. I would 100% recommend Louis to anyone looking for not only amazing photos, but a great experience too! -

What a great photographer to be around!
Louis captured our wedding a few weeks ago and I have to say that he was incredibly entertaining throughout the day. If you're looking for a fun photographer, you should have Louis there because you will laugh and not be as nervous. The next morning during breakfast everyone talked about how funny he was, including my husband who doesn't like most people. I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family. -

He's the best
We "eloped" before our destination wedding and Louis did our photos. When trying to plan something so non traditional and small for close family I messaged him for suggestions on somewhere to do the ceremony and he happily helped us find a place that worked. He was so awesome! The pictures were so beautiful. He is very creative. And went above and beyond. I asked for some family photos and he ended up doing pictures of us getting ready, a photo session with me and my husband, family photos and pictures of cutting our cake. Which he didn't have to do. And we received the photos very quickly. He definitely gives all his energy and loves what he does. We loved him so much we are taking him to Dominican Republic to take our photos of our wedding celebration!-

Louis is literally the best photographer for your wedding, trust me I did my research!! After meeting with several other area photographers, we found Louis and THANK GOD. Louis was professional, fun and showed us the amazing pictures he took!! Louis made both my husband and I feel comfortable, and we knew from the parking lot....we had to have him! From our amazing engagement session to our absolutely flawless wedding photos, we recommend Louis to everyone!!! He is quite literally an amazing human being and his eye for beautiful shots is unmatched. I have been to two separate weddings he’s shot and not only is he approachable and kind but the vision he has is impressive. Last weekend, I went to my friend's wedding overlooking a beautiful little lake and Louis was their wonderful wedding photographer. Watching him make everyone laugh made me want to get married all over again. He was a lot of fun to be around and showed us photos he had captured from time to time. I've been to a number of weddings where the photographer seemed like they were doing a great job but Louis was different. He felt more like a family member and that was great to see. You'll like him a lot. -

Louis is absolutely amazing in every way. He will make you feel comfortable while keeping you laughing. He’s just as comfortable to work with in a wedding of 35 as he is with a party of 350. Not only was Louis the photographer at both of my cousins weddings, he has since been my family photographer!! Fell in love with his personality the first time I watched him behind the camera at my cousins wedding! He does an amazing job! Super friendly and always accommodating! To say that we hired the absolute best photographer possible for our wedding would be a complete understatement. From the moment we met Louis we knew we had met the perfect person to shoot our special day. All of our friends and family know me to always be taking pictures of everything. Thus, for a photographer to meet my expectations and surpass them says a lot for the work Louis does!
To describe what an amazing photographer Louis is in such a small paragraph is practically impossible, so I will paraphrase. He tied the men’s ties, he laced up my gown to help my maid of honors, he fanned me when the humidity was roasting me, he gained the trust of our dog by playing ball so she would be more apt to want him to take her picture, and best of all, he got the ‘non smilers’ to smile and be happy having their photos taken.
Not only did Louis capture amazing photos of family and friends that were planned, but he got natural photos of people having a good time too! His eye for the perfect shots is fantastic. Unlike some photographers he doesn’t make everyone stand together and take monotonous photos for hours on end, he spaces them out and lets people have fun and be relaxed while he shoots.
So before you evaluate other photographers, look at the work Louis does. Ask yourself if you want to spend money for nice photos, or spend money on the best photos. And if you want the best, and you want the VIP treatment from a photographer that will go above and beyond… then you want Louis Torres.

Aside from Louis having referred all my vendors, including the wedding venue, who were the best!! Louis did such a great job making everyone laugh. My grandparents couldn't stop talking about how my wedding photographer had a great personality and made them smile throughout the day, and my grandfather is a rough Marine tough guy. Such a great day and I have such pretty wedding photos that I'll go through at every anniversary. If you want someone who will make you laugh, use Louis, he's seriously fun and funny. -

Louis captured my sister's wedding three years ago and we absolutely loved his work and his fun personality back then. When I got engaged, I knew exactly who would capturing my wedding. We just received our wedding photos last week and I'm still obsessed with how my wedding photos turned out. I love how he captured the details, our ceremony and the lovely moments with my new husband. You're going to love his work but you'll rave about his personality and how he helps manage the entire wedding day. He did such an incredible job and even made my husband laugh throughout the entire day, and he never smiles. -

Hiring Louis was one of the BEST decisions I made regarding my wedding! His energy, enthusiasm and personality is second to none. My husband HATES his picture being taken and always has to fake laugh to form a smile. During our engagement photos, Louis was able to do something that I haven't been able to in the 10yrs we've been together.... Enjoy having his photo taken!! I've never seen my husband smile so much in front of a camera. Not one smile was forced. His energy and enthusiasm is intoxicating. I absolutely LOVED our engagement photos!! As for the wedding... he honestly deserves a 10 out of 5. A lot of people dropped the ball during our wedding. I thank God that I had Louis to help keep things moving a head. He definitely went above and beyond. I don't know what I would have done without him. I will also never get sick of telling him, and anyone else how AMAZING he is. I mean, I took the time to text him happy birthday during my honeymoon in the DR. I look forward to working with him more in the future. He has made me a life time customer! -

Louis beautifully captured every moment of our big day! I could not be more in love with our pictures. Louis has a great sense of humor which helped to ease my jitters on the big day. He was able to make my husband and I laugh hysterically so many times throughout the day. He truly captured the essence of each moment in his photos. This review is pre-receiving our photos so I will do another after; which after seeing a little sneak peak of a few in sure the rating will be the same. As for leading up to, and the day of our wedding; Louis was absolutely amazing! He tried so hard at making attempts to set up an engagement shoot - we were on short time frame and mine and my husbands schedules are pretty much opposite - ended up not being able to get one in. That didn’t matter at all the day of the wedding. Louis has such great character and enthusiasm for what he does, you can tell he truly enjoys it. I had a huge bridal party and so much family involved (we’re talking probably 40 people just from my side), he was super organized and made sure to get pictures of all groups. Not to mention, This all happened 1-2 hours before the ceremony, during our first look so we got to enjoy the cocktail hour with everyone. For the ceremony, he was seriously a fly on the wall, in a good way. Every bride wants to be the center of attention and not feel like someone else is in the way, he perfected this. Anyway, these are just a few examples of the great job he did, add in the friends and family members who were not the best at cooperating and you get the picture. Literally. He has also worked with all of the vendors we used the day of, and they had amazing things to say about him and his work as well. I feel like we a had a wedding dream team! We are so excited to see the amazing photos Louis took, I have no worries of how they will turn out. If you need a photographer, book Louis!!! Highly, highly recommended!! Can’t wait to do newborn pics coming soon :) -

Let's just start by saying if I could give 10 stars I would! Louis has been our all occasion go to photographer forever! So, of course when I got engaged it was a no brainer that he would take our engagement photos and be our wedding photographer!! That was the easiest vendor decision throughout our entire wedding planning adventure. And I wouldn't have done it any other way!
Louis has an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor, and he creates such a fun atmosphere, which shows in the photos. There's no cheesy poses - just genuine smiles, laughter, and emotion!
During our wedding ceremony and reception he worked with other vendors to coordinate everything seamlessly. He knew exactly where to be and when, and helped us (and our wedding party) along as well to keep everything on time. There was zero stress!!!
Photo delivery was prompt after our wedding considering the amount of images that he captured!
I highly recommend Louis Torres for weddings, engagements, for family, for life! He's fantastic at what he does. -

Louis is an amazing person and an amazing photographer. He is easily my favorite person I hired for the big day. Loius is incredibly friendly and talented. Louis took our engagement photos and was more than flexible with our request for an apple orchard in the middle of the week (let's just say not many are open!). Our engagement photos were stunning! Loius impressed our families the day of the wedding and he was able to wrangle everyone and create order for family photos. Everyone thought he was very kind and professional throughout the wedding. Loius also made Miles and I feel so comfortable when we took the photos. Loius kept things light and moving! Another great thing is that he was very reachable and easy to talk to. Louis is so awesome at his job you don't even know he is there! Hire this amazing man! -

If you are looking for someone to make you laugh, and laugh, oh and laugh you have the right person. He is not only an amazing photographer but he has an amazing personality. From the second we met him for our engagement pictures we couldn't stop laughing and warmed right up there was no awkwardness or anything. He was great, he had wonderful ideas and made use of everything around us! He is affordable, and completely down to earth. It is so awesome when we got our pictures that it wasn't "staged" it wasn't photoshopped to the max but it was real. It was me and my fiancé and our true personalities and our true selves. Louis Torres is a phenomenal wedding photographer. We were planning our wedding from a distance, and never had a chance to meet Louis before the wedding day. Despite the distance Louis made it so easy for us to work with him. He was responsive and answered any questions we had without hesitation. I was so excited to finally meet Louis after a year of planning. He is fun, professional, and creative. He took AMAZING photo's and somehow was able to have a slideshow running during the reception of the photo's he had taken so far that day. It was a big surprise and such a nice touch. When we met with Louis and he just made the two of us laugh the entire time. We loved his wedding packages, which were within our budget and of course, fell in love with our engagement photos after he posted a few on Facebook for everyone to see. He arrived to my parents house 25 minutes earlier than expected which was great and took photos of everyone getting ready then we were off to the ceremony. We later went to the capitol stairs and education building where he made everyone smile and laugh. At the reception, we were surprised when Louis shares photos he took earlier and featured them on a large screen for my guests to see.
We loved his personality, his professionalism and his ability to create beautiful photos of my husband and me. If we had to do it again, we would definitely have Louis capture our wedding all over. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, you'll have a great time like we did. -

We absolutely love Louis. When I started planning my wedding the one thing I was the most unsure of how to go about finding was a photographer, we got Louis name from our the wedding planner at our venue who thought he would do a great job for us.
When we arrived at his apartment to meet with him we were greeted with warm hugs, and wine and beer (we were pretty much won over!) The photos he showed us were stunning and his prices were so reasonable we booked him on the spot. From that day on we never thought of another photographer.
My fiance and I actually felt like we became friends with him right away, his personality draws you in and we couldnt wait to see him in action on the wedding day, and he delivered.
He was amazing! He immediately loosened everybody up and won them over too! He also helped out wherever he could, be helped the groomsmen put on their boutineers when they couldnt figure it out, he also kept me as calm as possible. The groomsmen commented on how awesome he was-which usually goes right over guys heads!
He placed a monitor at the reception so guests could see the photos he had been taking and everyone was blown away by them and telling me how stunning they were. He captured our day perfectly but not in an in your face way, he let us enjoy our day and didnt drag us away from the party for photo ops.
I couldnt have been happier with Louis and our photos and will recommend him to everyone that is looking for a photographer! He helped us create some very special memories and we cant thank him enough. Its been over a week since our wedding and people are actually contacting us about how great Louis was and cant wait to see more pictures. -

amazing, amazing, amazing photographer! he was the first person I hired for my wedding, and I was more than satisfied with my decision! I hired Louis a year and half before my wedding. Throughout that entire period of time, Louis kept in contact with me by phone calls, texts, and email messages, just making sure I knew he didn't fall off the face of the earth, to help with any issues I had planning my wedding, and to be an ear for my wedding planning dramas! My first florist fell through, and I was so disappointed and upset by the whole issue. I called Louis to ask his advice, and he IMMEDIATELY called a florist he knew, and even set me up an appointment to talk to them. I booked them immediately, and they delivered the most amazing flowers and design ever. Louis is extremely personable, and a whole lot of fun, he made everyone immediately comfortable at my wedding, and took some of the most breathtaking photos of me, my friends, and my family. When I got back from my honeymoon, my 2000 wedding photos were waiting for me on two discs with our picture on them, and wrapped in a lovely little disc-holder envelope.
I was so stressed the day of the wedding, but whenever he was around, I had no choice but to throw my head back and laugh!
I asked Louis not to take too many posed photos, but the ones I wanted, he delivered in the best way. They were somehow candid and posed at the same time, he was more concerned with capturing "us" than he was with capturing "the shot", to me, that alone makes him priceless. He captured photos that told the story of our day, the good, the bad, and the ugly!!
Every step of the way, over the past year and a half, Louis has not only proved to be worth his weight in gold, but he went above and beyond for me, even when it had nothing to do with wedding photos. He is super fun, super sweet, and endlessly helpful. You would have to be crazy not to hire him! I knew within 5 minutes of talking to him, without even seeing his work that I wanted him as our photographer. It was a huge bonus that his photos are also out of this world!

Louis is a great photographer and he is FUN to work with!! My guests all loved him. He has tons of energy which makes it easy take hours and hours of pictures even if your not used to that.
I will say that he does swear- I didn't care because it wasn't malicious, it's just part of the energy.
I have seen some of the pics from our wedding and I CANNOT WAIT to see the rest.
On top of being a good photographer he also helped me out when the wedding coordinator at my venue was stressing me out. He helped me take a few minutes to myself the day of the wedding and made sure I still enjoyed the day. He was also really good with my family who can be invasive at times with pictures.
I was determined not to miss my cocktail hour but leave it to the fam, I missed most of it anyway, when I realized what time it was- I told Louis I was done with posed pics for the time being because I wanted a drink and some food and he was great about everything.
Very excited to see how everything came out, the teaser pics on facebook were up the day after the wedding and I should have the rest within a week.

Louis is absolutely amazing! He is very laid back, easy to work with and makes you feel very comfortable. He is more than flexible in scheduling meetings and our engagement session. And his work.... amazing! I would have another wedding just to be able to work with him again :) -

Louis Torres is INCREDIBLE! Not only is he a wonderful photographer, but also a wonderful person to work with. There are many decent photogs, but how many are actually likable, flexable and willing to help out your annoying (jk) photog friends that are hovering over every shot at your wedding ;)
LOUIS is exactly the photographer that is all of this and more!!
We are still going through the thousands of shots he got from our July wedding to select for our albums and prints. His work is so instictually aesthetically cool, that we are taking soooo long to choose. He is that AMAZING!
But most importantly, our friedns and family also enjoyed his presence, putting everyone at ease for those memorable shots. We have already been asked for his info by three different friends for upcoming weddings.

Beware!! Not professional!!
Never in a million years would I have expected to be scammed, stolen from and ghosted by our wedding photographer just three weeks before one of the most important days of our lives. We confirmed with Louis back in March and have screenshots to prove that our date was “wide open” and “it’s yours!” That however is where all communication ends. Louis did not respond to our calls, emails or attempts to reach him on social media as we got closer to the date. Come to find out after some digging and going through friends of friends, he lied and stated that he told us he was already booked for our wedding date. We were then told that he would be reaching out to us regarding our deposit already paid and we have yet to hear from him. Louis was once a highly recommended photographer but something has clearly changed and he cannot be running a business like this!
*Luckily we secured a new photographer, we just hope this doesn’t happen to any other couples -

Ghosted and scammed
My wedding was in September 2018 and I still haven’t received my albums or prints yet…ITS JULY 2022... For a while he would sporadically respond, citing Covid as an excuse for why things are taking so long…Louis I was promise my albums and prints before Covid even started, you told me I should have them in December 2019…how could Covid have been the cause if it wasn’t even a thing yet? Now he doesn’t even respond to me, clearly I’ve been scammed at this point…Based upon other reviews it seems I’m not the only one either… Brides please beware!!!! -

Great until it wasn’t…..
Louis was hired for our wedding in fall of 2019. Everything was paid, signed, and he showed up. We received the link to our digital photos and then crickets……:…YEARS of excuses about the missing albums we had already paid for until he just stopped responding all together. This was most unfortunate given the level of enthusiasm with which he sells you the bill of goods at the onset. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. -

Brides Beware!
A warning to all brides looking for a wedding photographer! Louis Torres Photography is not the choice you want to make! 16 months after my son’s wedding there are still no wedding photo albums! More than a year! Even worse he just stops responding! Very frustrating and very disappointing! Poor business practice. Louis was paid a lot of money - in full - and well in advance of the event. His prior reviews were positive so we hired Louis. Well it seems it is time for a more current review. Louis may take beautiful photos, but over the past year we have heard multiple excuses and empty promises about the albums before he just stopped responding all together. What bride wants to wait more than a year and still not have their wedding album? What parent wants to pay alot of money for a contract not fulfilled without even an offer of refund or compensation? We have had to turn to litigation and Louis does not even respond to our attorney. Save yourself the heartache…choose a different wedding photographer! There are alot of good ones out there! -

It's sad to have to write a negative review, over 2 years later, BUT, please see this recent picture below. Besides having a falling out with Louis Torres 2 months after our wedding, I have never written a negative review about our bad experience. We had some good pictures and some bad, but also some that we never received. We disagreed on how some things were handled and I moved on. I've never spoken to Louis Tores since. Until randomly, over 2 years later, Louis Torres decided to write an odd 'Instagram' post. He shared a picture of my wife and I, with my Uncle who married us, as he leaned over to give her a kiss after the blessing and giving a prayer. His description "When the priest (Larry David lookalike) tried to make out with your wife! This was years ago. LOL. Just odd/hilarious things I capture. And no, they never got this photo."
It's pretty sad that this "professional" wedding photographer, Louis Torres, would 1, talk about someone's family who paid him for his service. And 2, admit to holding pictures he took and not sending us what we wanted. It's not in my nature to make any of this public, but unfortunately, he did. I started getting multiple texts and calls from friends and other professionals after he posted this. I believe my wife had the perfect response. I'm not going to spend anymore time on this, I just hope this saves someone else from a bad experience. I ask anyone in Upstate New York to share this with someone they know so it doesn't happen to them. Don't be fooled by his price or first meeting. Do you're own research. Besides that, we had an amazing wedding at Canfield Casino in Saratoga hosted by Mallozzi's. -

Think twice before you invest your money in this person! My heart sank the day we finally got to see our wedding photos. I was overcome with disappointment at the poor quality and lack of important photos that we will never have the opportunity to capture again. Photos are out of focus or grainy. The flash and additional lights he set up distorted photos and caused people to look washed out. Important photos were not prioritized or taken at all! He didn’t take one photo of our entire bridal party together including flowergirls and ringbearers. The one family photo he took was orchestrated by my sister mid-reception bc she realized he hadn’t taken any. Jewelry photos are blurry. Photos of me and my Dad walking down the aisle are out of focus. He didn’t even bother to take bridesmaids’ dresses out of garment bags when he photographed them. In comparing our wedding photos to work done by other photographers, I’m shocked by the lack of creativity and effort Louis put into our day. Despite our disappointment, I was hopeful he would acknowledge his errors and be able to work with us as a professional. Instead, he refused to acknowledge these errors and became very hostile and defensive. He never addressed our concerns, and instead carried on about how insulted he was and told us we no longer have the option to choose which photos we’d like to use for our albums and prints.
Over the next several months, he told us many times our items were on the way but then nothing would arrive. Finally we did receive our albums but no prints. Instead, he sent us $30 along with a very mean and inaccurate email telling me I went from his favorite bride, to the meanest, most difficult, demeaning and abusive bride. Dealing with Louis has been extremely difficult. If you are looking to hire a wedding photographer, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere!
