A couple weeks ago my friends and I rented a limo for a bachelorette party. The driver was on time, was polite and pleasantly made small talk when appropriate. The party bus was spectacular and set the mood for the whole night. We brought are liquor and mixers we're conveniently provided as well as ice. For a large group of women who all had the stress of the upcoming wedding on our shoulders it was splendid to be able to entrust the driver who took and handled are tipsy directions and banter with a little bit of charm. We all made it home promptly and safe. I would also like to mention that when we called to book the limo whoever answered the phone was very helpful and even let me know the best local places for bachelorette parties. So impressed and so pleased with pricing. I gave this review 5 stars because I could not think of one thing I was displeased with. We were able to give the Bride to be the best experience and safest experience going through limo express.

    Kept the celebration going!

Our day wedding ended at 4:30 and we wanted to keep the celebration going. We booked the charter bus up to Blackhawk after the reception. They kept the fun going.

    Not a great experience

My husband and I hired Limo Express to provide shuttles and a party bus for our wedding party and guests attending our wedding last July. Most of our guests were traveling from out of state, so we needed transportation from Denver to our venue in Idledale and back. We did this to make things easier for our guests as they did not have cars, but also to provide a sober ride home as we knew most people would be drinking. When I first contacted limo express I felt a huge relief- they seemed more than accommodating! They assured me that their drivers had been to this venue several times before, and that they are used to driving home intoxicated people after a big event like a wedding. Unfortunately, some strange incidents happened the day of our wedding which made my relief turn into stress. We had the party bus pick up my husband to be and I along with our wedding party that afternoon to head up the mountain early for photos. While on the interstate, my cousin looked up to see that traffic ahead had come to a stop- we were still moving! He looked at the driver and noticed he was TEXTING!!!! He shouted stop and the driver slammed on the breaks so hard that I, the bride, went airborne. I was sitting on the middle of the U-shaped bench in the very back of the bus, and I ended up near the front.. flat on my face in my wedding dress. Not only was the wind knocked out of me, but I scuffed up my chin. It could have been so much worse and I'm so thankful it wasn't. I can imagine most brides having a meltdown, but I was a good sport. I am a reasonable person who understands accidents happen.. but there is absolutely no excuse for texting and driving period.. let alone when you're driving over 30 people including two children (who at this point were sobbing and had their ring bearer "fancy clothes" covered in orange soda thanks to this incident) and one VERY pregnant woman. I was ok, my dress was ok, but the fear I felt for my loved ones and the cars in front of us was no joke! It truly felt like we had slammed into a car! I did have one bridesmaid bleeding from another bridesmaids teeth going into her leg. We all went flying! The driver never once stopped to see if we were ok or apologized.. Not until he received an earful from my pregnant bridesmaid did he speak a word of it. After the ceremony ended, several guests began to inform us of their experience riding up the mountain in the shuttles. We had several complaints that one of the shuttle drivers did not know how to get to the venue and was repeatedly asking our guests about directions. This confused me since I was assured that this would not be an issue. They then went on to tell me that the shuttle drove past the venue, and then did what felt like a 10 point turn about in the middle of the two lane, MOUNTAIN road. One of our guests was so anxious and scared that he tried opening the emergency exit. I understand that there aren't many options to pull over and turn around close to the venue, but the driver put lives in danger! They should have kept going until there was a safe place to turn around. Plus, the constant back and forth motions were making people feel uneasy. We also received complaints that the driver didn't know how to control the A/C and had hot air blowing on my guests. One driver kept sitting at the hotel waiting to hear from me, the bride, to get the go- ahead on leaving... that was never the plan! I had given them my day of coordinators phone number. they did not need to be calling me. Which speaking of, while I was getting ready for the wedding, I received multiple phone calls from limo express claiming that one of my payments hadn't gone through... Which it did show up on my father's credit card statement and its still there today. Regardless if that payment had gone through or not, I should not have been bugged the day of my wedding about that. Especially when I had successfully completed all other payments. At one point one of their employees had texted me saying I could text her my credit card information- WHAT? Who does that!? At the end of our reception, the remaining guests and us piled on the last shuttle available. I am the first to admit that there were indeed some intoxicated people on that bus- but again, I had discussed the likelihood of that happening beforehand and was assured it wouldn't be a problem. My husband and I are 30 and 40 years old and to be honest, half the folks on our bus were asleep during the drive home. Yes there were others who were singing, and socializing.. and probably were not the most quiet, but there was no blaring music (as the radio barely worked) and it was nothing out of control. About 10 minutes into our drive our driver stopped the bus- in the middle of the lane!! Didn't even pull over to the side. Most of us were left confused and continued to chit chat while we waited for what felt like forever. Then a police officer shows up behind us. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with the bus and she had called for help. Nope! Apparently she, the driver, had called the police on US!!! Claimed that we were too loud and she refused to continue driving until we all sat down and were quiet.. as if we were children on a school bus. Like I mentioned before, half the bus was asleep! I have been on many party busses with loud music and funky lights- this was a plain shuttle with no loud music or lights. We couldn't have been that crazy! The police officer was very friendly, asked if we were okay, and then demanded that the driver continue because she was endangering others by parking the bus in the lane! The drive should have taken roughly 35 minutes. It took us over an hour to get home because of her stopping. I have no idea why this would have happened. Perhaps she could have pulled over, and spoken to the entire bus about it if things were making her uncomfortable. but that never happened. I was sitting in the middle of the bus and never once did she mention the level of noise. It just blows my mind and everyone else's who was on that bus. In the end, everyone made it home safely which is the ultimate goal and is truly all I cared about. However, there were moments of true recklessness that I find absolutely alarming. My husband and I did some traveling the next few weeks and I decided to de-stress about this issue before calling to make a complaint. When I finally did, the girl I spoke with on the phone seemed mortified by my stories and mentioned that she believed two of their drivers employment had since been terminated due to other reported incidents. She was extremely nice on the phone, but unfortunately couldn't do much to help me. She assured me that a manager would be reaching out to me. She did mention that they had a busy week ahead and that I might not receive a phone call until the following week. I was totally fine with that. Then weeks turned into months. Every time I have attempted to call since then, nobody answers. To top it all off, my parents and I (we split the payments) have looked over our credit card statements to find that we were charged DOUBLE the amount we were originally quoted!!!! There was also a $300 charge for "damage to the bus." The only thing I can possibly think of is one of our guests got sick on the way home. We immediately cleaned it up so I'm not sure what the damage was.. perhaps it was from a driver hitting a tree as they were exiting the venue. I wasn't even going to mention that as it wasn't the craziest thing that happened. After everything we experienced there should have been a decrease in payment if anything! This is the second bad review I have ever posted and it honestly doesn't feel good. But this was bad. People could have been seriously hurt. If Limo Express could just contact me and discuss how they can make it up to us, I would feel much better about recommending this business to others.
