We couldn't be happier with our experience having our wedding at New Haven Lawn Club. This venue is a hidden gem; the most gorgeous architecture and AMAZING food and attentive staff. Karen was incredible and so supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was patient, kind, and kept us organized. There wasn't a single thing that we asked for that NHLC wasn't able to accommodate; even confetti at the end of our reception! They also allow for real candlelight, which creates an amazing ambiance. Seriously, this place is incredible. Highly recommend!

Christine and all the Lawn Club Fine Catering staff are amazing!!! From our first visit, Christine was professional and quickly responsive. Any time I had a question or needed emotional support, she was happily there via phone or email. I did not have a wedding planner and am so grateful to Christine for all her help. Our day was handled with such care and was perfect in every way! You cannot go wrong with choosing this venue!

The New Haven Lawn Club is a stunning venue with a wonderful team who will make your wedding day a dream come true! Christine and Karen helped make the entire planning process so seamless and helped manage everything so smoothly on our wedding day that we weren't stressed or worried about a single thing. From checking in leading up to the wedding and coordinating final logistics with our vendors, to keeping us on schedule throughout the wedding day, managing an incredible room flip and decor setup, and delicious food - everything was absolutely perfect. So many of our friends and family were amazed by how beautiful the Lawn Club was. We couldn’t have dreamed up a more professional team who truly care about making your wedding a day you’ll never forget. We’re so happy we picked the Lawn Club for our wedding!

My husband and I got married here April 29, 2023 and it was perfect. The staff was amazing- especially Christine and Karen! It was a freezing rainy day and we didn't care at all, we had ~175 people and there was plenty of room for dancing. The setup was beautiful, the food was amazing, we received compliments on everything. It would take me a day to write about everything we loved about the venue!

Christine, Karen, and the whole NHLC team are simply the best!! You will NOT regret having your wedding here. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was -- it's somehow glamorous and cozy at the same time. And Christine and Karen were so organized -- several people told us it was the most well-run wedding they have ever attended, thanks to those two. They accommodated all our requests, they walked us through the entire planning process, and they were so calm and professional throughout. From our first meeting through the big day, we knew we were in good hands and it was such a relief to have their guidance. Their vendor list and month-by-month wedding planning guide were particularly helpful. On our wedding day, it was raining and very windy, and they seamlessly changed our ceremony plan to keep everything inside. We actually had compliments about how the candles and fireplaces they set up felt so cozy and inviting because of the rain! NHLC is also a great option because it's much less expensive than venues of comparable quality in Boston or New York -- for the same price in those places, we would have gotten so much less. I will forever be grateful that we chose to have our wedding here and I can't recommend it enough.

We held our reception at the Lawn Club this past February and cannot recommend them enough! While the building is absolutely stunning and speaks for itself, Christine and the team really set themselves apart. They say that even if your venue offers coordination services that you should still hire an outside coordinator. I can speak from experience that this is not the case with the Lawn Club. Every step of the way, Christine and the team were in contact and helped us make sure we were on the right track with planning. Everything was covered from when to send our save the dates to helping pick vendors that were in our budget. It made the planning process so much less stressful knowing that Christine was there to help.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding they went above and beyond. They called all our vendors to coordinate and even helped us by providing outdoor heaters on the patio for our guests.
When our wedding day came, we were able to relax and be in the moment (and enjoy our delicious dinners!) because we knew that everything was under control. It was truly a magical day and picking the lawn club as our venue was a huge part of the day's success!

Christine was a JOY to work with. In planning the wedding she was front and center the entire process. From contracts, tasting, planning calls, and day of - she was an excellent communicator. Her positive attitude and flexibility made the day completely stress free. I would work with her again in a heartbeat!

I had seen New Haven Lawn Club on The Knot pretty early on and there was just something so wonderful that pulled me in before I even saw this place in person. I was then able to tour the venue and speak with Christine and I knew this was the place I needed to have my wedding. Not only is the space so amazingly beautiful on the inside and outside, but the staff there are phenomenal. Christine and Karen both made the wedding planning process so much easier and I was able to truly enjoy my time wedding planning. Every single person working there was so kind, helpful, professional and made our day that much better. Every single guest made sure to tell me how much of a positive experience they had and how they truly appreciated the hospitality provided by Christine and team. Along with the wonderful service, the food and drinks are AMAZING. My husband and I want to join the day club for the food along! I can go on and on all day about how wonderful our experience with NHLC was, but I'll just say that it is definitely worth it and you will not only enjoy your day, but Christine, Karen and team will make sure you enjoy your entire experience.

When we started looking for venues (during COVID) we only had two options, but even if there were more I would have gone with the Lawn Club every single time. From the first tour, we were blown away by Christine's knowledge and experience. Besides how BEAUTIFUL the club was, we knew we wanted to work with Christine to plan our wedding.
Planning with the Lawn Club was seamless. It was really helpful to have a list of preferred vendors as it made research that much easier (especially during covid when everyone was booked and you had to reach out to EVERYONE).
We got married off site so we hired Christine to help with the ceremony and it made the morning seamless as she handled everything on our behalf.
Once we got to the Lawn Club, everything was just perfect, from the tables to the decorations we dropped off. Truly perfect. The food was absolutely amazing. Not to be biased but I've been to a lot of weddings and the club's food is the best. I cannot tell you how many people agreed. Most people got the beef Wellington and RAVED about it all night long. We finished the night with a sparkler sendoff and it was magical in our pictures.
We are so grateful for the staff at the Lawn Club as we truly had an amazing and perfect day and I would recommend the club to anyone who wants to get married in CT!!!

After we were engaged NYE 2020, we started the process of finding a venue for our wedding and although I did not know of the Lawn Club prior to all my research, we fell in love as soon as we found it! The photos were so enchanting and reviews so unanimously positive, that the only place we actually toured was the Lawn Club - we signed the contract at the end of the tour and it was the best decision we made! Everything you have read about the Lawn Club is true, it is a beautiful, unique all-inclusive venue with an amazing candlelit Art Deco feel. We did both ceremony and reception at the Lawn Club and utilized the bridal suite to get ready… such a big, beautiful room, I loved it! Throughout the Lawn Club grounds, there’s so many unique spots for photos, we had such a fun time exploring with our photographers and the photos are stunning! Our guests were blown away by the venue, food, and the service! No one had to wait for bar service at any point throughout the night. There’s so many small details that make a wedding at the lawn club stand out. First, during the ceremony, the blinds on all the windows are down and the room is filled with dreamy candlelight, and as the bride enters the room and walks down the aisle, the curtains are raised to let the sunlight in - so heavenly! Second, once the ballroom is set up prior to the reception, Christine found my husband and I and brought us into the ballroom is take in the whole setup prior to any guests entering - such a special quiet moment that the two of us were able to share! If it wasn’t already clear, the shining star of the venue is that it comes with Christine… she runs all on-site coordination and was such a pleasure to work with (I could not have done it without here). We postponed out 2020 wedding to 2021 and it was such a smooth process and I was so thankful for that, as it was already a stressful time! She is insanely organized, so helpful, and was there day-of to make sure everything ran smoothly. Her and her team also do ALL setup and breakdown at the end of the night and I was able to take in every single aspect of the day, instead of running around setting things up! It goes without saying, but the wedding would not have been as perfect if it wasn’t for Christine! Don’t wait, book the Lawn Club, it is stunning!!

When we were looking for a wedding venue, we immediately loved so many things about the Lawn Club. The incredibly beautiful and unique spaces, the creativity provided by the chef to design a menu that worked for us and the flexibility to use different spaces how we wanted throughout the entire day were perfect for our multicultural wedding. Christine and Karen helped us to think through every last detail and no question was too trivial to be answered. They are incredibly experienced and knowledgeable and gave great suggestions during the planning process. While our original plans were disrupted due to COVID-19, Christine was a pleasure to work with, kept open communication, and helped us to re-plan an event that better suited our needs during the pandemic. On the day of our celebration, everything turned out exactly as we had envisioned. We didn't have to lift a finger and were able to fully enjoy ourselves! The ambiance was so beautiful and elegant and everyone raved about the food and had a great time! We couldn't be more grateful to Christine and the entire staff at the Lawn Club for sticking by us through a long process of planning and re-planning and for creating the most amazing day for us!

We had such an amazing experience working with Christine and her team to have the wedding of our dreams at the Lawn Club. Christine was very responsive, helpful and flexible with every part of our wedding planning from start to finish. The attention to detail, expertise and experience in wedding planning that is provided by Christine and her team is unmatched and it truly made the process stress-free and the day of so perfect. We always felt confident that she was going to do an amazing job and exceed all of our expectations (which she did). The food was beyond fantastic and there are options to customize the packages. The staff were all so friendly, helpful and professional and the service they provided was great. The venue itself is very spacious and beautiful, and they do an amazing job enhancing it with the candles they provide. Our overall experience was absolutely phenomenal and we would very highly recommend the Lawn Club to anyone considering it for their wedding!!

Our wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Lawn Club on 5/14/21. Our day was absolutely perfect and that was all thanks to Christine and her amazing staff. Leading up to our wedding, Christine was extremely flexible with our postponement and was there to make sure the postponing process went smoothly. Not once were we overwhelmed throughout the process. The day of the wedding, we didn’t have to worry about anything, Christine made sure everything ran smoothly and flawlessly. All of our guests had a wonderful time. The food and service was absolutely outstanding! Guests are still raving about how amazing cocktail hour and dinner were. We’ve had several people say how they want to get married at the Lawn Club or want their children to get married there one day! We couldn’t have dreamt of a more perfect wedding! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience at a beautiful venue with great food and an amazing wedding coordinator!!!

I have nothing but incredible things to say about Christine and all of the wonderful staff of the NHLC. From point A to Z the NHLC made our wedding an absolute dream. Having to postpone our wedding during the pandemic was less than ideal, however, Christine was professional, responsive, and calm and made me feel completely supported during the process. The feedback from each and every guest has been positive some even describing it as “the best wedding experience.” I would recommend the NHLC to anyone interested!

The team at the New Haven Lawn Club are like no other. From start to finish, our wedding day was perfection. Christine was more than accommodating when we were forced to postpone our original wedding date. Despite all the stressors of the past year, we never once had to stress about our venue and for that we are incredibly grateful. The space is beautiful and the staff is spectacular. I’m not sure where to begin with this amazing place. For starters, it is beautiful. All on its own, it’s truly so stunning inside and out. We were able to have our wedding here on 11/21/20 and feel so lucky to have done so. The staff is phenomenal. And Christine was such a blessing to have during this last year. From the day of our tour/booking, our food tasting and everything leading up to the wedding, Christine was there to answer all of our questions. This year was unlike any other. We faced so many changes due to Covid and Christine was just a phone call away to calm us or reassure us that NHLC would do all they could to make sure our day was amazing. I know Christine had to have so many hard conversations with couples, but we appreciated her candor and willingness to go above and beyond. And despite all the changes, we were able to have a smaller more intimate, but truly beautiful wedding. Our guests felt comfortable with all the protocols in place and still had a great time. The food was fantastic and a hit with everyone. Christine and Karen were there any every point in the night to make sure we were taken care of and having a great time. You cannot go wrong with the Lawn Club. The venue paired with the exceptional service and food makes this place truly hard to beat!

My dream wedding came to life with the help of Christine and her team at The Lawn Club! Weddings are stressful to plan but I never had to worry with how attentive Christine is. Every single detail was thought out and executed to perfection. We had to change the date of our wedding due to COVID and I can’t say how amazing Christine was with helping make sure we still had the best day of our lives. We highly recommend The Lawn Club. Every last detail was thought out and on the day, orchestrated by the venue. It was a great feeling as a bride to know you are in good hands, despite having to change many plans (due to Covid and then rain!) and the day was still perfect. If you are looking for an art deco fairy tale, the Lawn Club is your venue!!! From the amazing Director, Christine to the amount of care & detail they provide you with is unmatched. From the start the process with the Lawn Club was flawless- communication was never delayed, help with vendors was always available, small details were never forgotten and the BEST was that they coordinated with our vendors on our wedding day details so we could relax- I did not touch my phone once!!! Everyone from Servers to Bartenders to the FOOD (OMG the food 10/10) they made us feel like the only couple in the world and made our wedding day so special. We are so happy & cant thank them enough. Truly a magical experience.

Christine and her team at the Lawn Club were absolutely phenomenal! The entire process was easy and the guidance and flexibility were most appreciated. You will be hard pressed to find a team of professionals that could surpass what Karen, Christine make happen. They are simply a amazing. We hosted our wedding reception with just under 200 guests here on 12/7/19. The Lawn Club is exquisitely decorated for the holidays, it is jaw-droppingly beautiful. If you have any interest in a December wedding, you must see photos or come by next December to see it in person! Karen and Christine have such a personable, patient, kind and professional way about them. No question or request is too silly, nor something they will try to make happen for you! Their attention to detail is unbelievable, and they make you feel like the only thing they are working on is your big day, when in reality they are juggling so much. Their guidance is invaluable and I couldn’t have planned so many logistics without them and the amazing preferred vendor list they provide you. The food was absolutely delicious with so many unique options. Our guests continue to rave about the Mac and cheese bar at cocktail hour! We also were even able to have my golden retriever come to the reception for photos! They are dog friendly! There was not a stone left un-turned before the wedding, including a walk through the week before and Karen contacting each of our 6(!) vendors in the days leading up to ensure seamless execution and organization. We were so proud to host our wedding at the Lawn Club and could not say enough about this incredible venue. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is terrific, and the staff will go above and beyond. What more could you want on your wedding day! Christine, the director of weddings, will help you organize every step of the way and provide you with a list of vetted vendors that will make your special day run smoothly. The building and the grounds (think brick, vines, candles, fireplace, balconies) lend itself to amazing photos. And your guests will rave about the food (the filet mignon is a huge crowd pleaser).

What better timing to leave a review than on our 2 year wedding anniversary, which took place at the Lawn Club on September 30th, 2017. Everything about this place is perfect!! From Christine exceeding our expectations through the planning and execution of the wedding including the day of coordination, to getting married on the actual front lawn of the lawn club (we were the first ever to do this and thanks to Christine and the amazing staff at the NHLC our ceremony went off without a hitch). Not only is the venue beautiful but the food was out of this world! At our cocktail hour, my husband found a PEARL in his oyster at the raw bar (talk about good luck)!! Our band played on the stage all night and our guests had an amazing time, as did we! Drinks were pouring all night long and the staff and bartenders were amazing. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! I wish we could get married here all over again - it truly was the most amazing day of our lives.

We heard about the New Haven Lawn Club from a friend who had worked there previously. From the start, the service and responsiveness were unmatched. We didn't want a typical wedding factory - yes the Lawn Club does a lot of weddings - but they are by no means a wedding factory. They have their work down to a science and do one wedding per day which makes them incredibly flexible. We worked with Karen who was there for all of the planning, the rehearsal, and the day of the wedding. She is incredible to work with, very responsive, and gives great advice - we would highly recommend her! There staff there was also amazing! We have been to many weddings over the past few years and the staff at the Lawn Club was by far the best. The venue itself is stunning. We could not even keep track of how many people commented on how beautiful the building is. We had our wedding in December and the holiday decorations they have up take weeks to prepare and further add to the character of the building. The rooms are full with natural candle light and fireplaces which gives it such a warm feel. Lastly, the food is incredible! Not typical wedding venue food - but more like a high end restaurant. They were also extremely flexible with food allergies for some of our guests (one person was allergic to onions - which are in everything - and they didn't bat an eye).
A wedding requires so much planning, so many details, so many moving parts - if you have your wedding at the Lawn Club you can be confident that you have a gorgeous venue with a professional/attentive staff.

This venue is the most beautiful you can imagine. With that comes excellent food and amazing staff! Christine made every step of planning our wedding from out of state, a breeze! We highly recommend it here!

We had our reception for our wedding at the Lawn Club in June 2018. Christine was absolutely wonderful and extremely accommodating from the beginning of wedding planning all the way to the very last minute of our reception. She even came to our hotel and delivered our left over cake that we forgot the night of the wedding. The New Haven Lawn Club is elegant and the food is delicious - our guests haven't stopped complimenting the venue and the food and its a month later. Truly a hidden gem in downtown New Haven. Would HIGHLY recommend - our wedding was perfect!

My wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Lawn Club on 8/25/18. Everything about the day was perfect! The venue itself is absolutely stunning and full of so much charm and character! It has a very classy and elegant feel. Many guests thought that the ballroom was gorgeous! The wedding coordinators, Christine and Karen, are amazing at what they do!!! Throughout the whole wedding planning process, they were always available to answer any questions in a timely fashion and offer any help. We feel so grateful to them for making our day so amazing. Honestly, they are top notch and the best of the BEST at what they do! Even some of my vendors were raving about them!! You will be in good hands with both ladies! The food at the Lawn Club is delicious. Several of our guests told us that it was the best “wedding food” they’ve ever eaten. We loved that the portion sizes were adequate, therefore no guests left feeling hungry. The ballroom itself is beyond beautiful. As a bride with a specific vision, I was unsure of how things would end up looking all put together by someone else other than myself! Let me tell you that Christine and Karen exceeded my expectations. Things were lovely! We even ordered a late night snack to be brought in by Pepe’s and Christine set everything up for us. Our interactions with other Lawn Club staff were great, everyone is so nice and helpful. There are several great spots to have first look photos and bridal photos taken. I’m so happy that I chose to have the Lawn Club be the setting for the most important day of my life. This past weekend we celebrated our daughter's wedding in New Haven, culminating in a reception at The New Haven Lawn Club. We just do not know where to begin except to say our daughter and new son told us it was the Wedding of their dreams!! Christine Brush and Karen Wilson made it happen! From the moment we first visited their site to the day after when we returned to gather our belongings, they have been our go-to people! Professional, attentive, reactive to ALL our needs, experienced and always with wonderful attitudes!! We tasked them both with a very detailed plan and they met every item spot on!! The food, the Ballroom, the Cocktail Area, the Living Room - were all so impressive that our families and guests are still emailing, calling and texting us that it was the best wedding they have every attended. Comments such as, romantic, impressive, outstanding, delicious, over-the-top, well-run, fantastic and we could go on. Thank You, Christine and Karen for making our only daughter's wedding reception a dream come true for her and her new husband and for my husband and I as well! We wish you both continued success! We were married at the Lawn Club in April 2018. I have only wonderfully positive feelings about this venue. From the beginning of planning to the wedding day, Christine was absolutely lovely and extremely accommodating and responsive in every way.
The Lawn Club itself is elegant and gorgeous, the food was delicious, and so many of our family and friends remarked on how wonderful all of these things were after our wedding. They also recommended all fabulous vendors, and communicated with them before our day.

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding venue we had a long list of must haves, and one of them had to be hardwood floors and lots of natural lighting. We saw about five different venues, and after our walk through with Christine we knew the hunt was over. We immediately fell in love with NHLC, it checked off everything on our list. The building has a lot of character, and the inside is very elegant. When we did the tour we saw cocktail hour room first and I thought that was the main room, and was blown away with how gorgeous the room was with all the hidden details. Then we were brought into the main reception area and I knew from that moment on our wedding was going to be here. It's just breathtaking.
I can't say enough about Christine, I think I probably sent her over 100 emails during the duration of my wedding planning and she was always so sweet, accommodating and helpful. Never once did she seem bothered by my million questions. Even though the wedding itself at times was stressful planning, the NHLC never once stressed me out, they are so organized, and competent I always felt like everything was under control. Christine is truly amazing at her job, and she always made us feel so relaxed and offered help in any way she can.

My guests are still talking about the food, everyone has complimented that their meals were excellent and service was impeccable. All of our guests raved that they have never been to a wedding so beautiful, and it truly was. We had such a wonderful time, we enjoyed every minute of it. If I had to do the wedding planning all over again, I wouldn't change any detail, it was perfect!

Everything about our wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club was truly exceptional. This is truly because of the top-notch professionalism and attention-to-detail that was provided by Christine Brush and her team. We had the most gorgeous, dream-come-true, winter wedding. The Christmas decorations at the Lawn Club were a fantasy. Everything about the day was perfect.

We got married at the NHLC September 23, 2017 and the entire day was absolutely perfect. The NHLC is an exceptional wedding venue for SO many reasons. The venue is stunning; truly a hidden gem in New Haven with so much character and class. Separate cocktail hour room which has it's own unique charm and an over the top ballroom that will have you swooning (think vaulted ceilings, large chandeliers). This is nothing like your typical cookie cutter venue, but at the same time a space that allows you to make your own. On top of that, you get the phenomenal wedding coordinator Christine, who helps you along the way. She was always available to answer questions and help out through the wedding process. Most importantly, the couple weeks leading up aka the most stressful time, where you are finalizing details, dropping off all of your items, etc. she makes a breeze! The day of was perfect, everything ran smoothly and flawlessly and as bride, groom, family, and friends no one had to worry about a single thing or lift a finger. In addition to the gorgeous venue and amazing Christine, the food is REALLY good. Easily the best food I have ever had at a wedding and can be comparable to a five star restaurant, going hand in hand with the exceptional service. All of our guests were raving about the evening and so many people have told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Also, the initial contact with Christine to get pricing/package information, etc. is completely transparent which is refreshing when searching venues. Our wedding was our best day ever and a huge reason was bc we chose the NHLC for our reception.

I could not have asked more from a venue for our daughter's wedding. The Lawn Club was extraordinary! The venue itself is beautiful with understated elegance. The service could not be better. The food was sensational. Their event planner, Christine Brush is passionate and committed to make certain that your day is extra special and runs without a hitch. She made the whole process stress free and delightful. Christine made our daughter's wedding one of the best days of our lives. We are forever grateful to her.

Everyone at the New Haven Lawn Club was wonderful. Christine was so helpful and pleasant to work with throughout the whole planning process. She was extremely organized and was available to answer questions from the minute we signed our contract. Christine was on site the day of our wedding to ensure everything went smoothly. Her attention to detail and compassionate nature was extremely appreciated and helped alleviate my stress. The Lawn Club is such a beautiful and elegant venue (with amazing food too!). We received many compliments from our guests regarding the staff, food and venue. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. I only hope someone else I know chooses this venue so I can attend a wedding here again as a guest.

We got married at the Lawn Club on June 3, 2017 and I’m still beaming from ear to ear just thinking back on that day. It was beyond anything I could have imagined, and the Lawn Club was a HUGE part of making that happen. Our guests are still commenting on our wedding - about how AMAZING the entire Lawn Club staff was! What’s more, our guests could not stop talking about the food, saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. This is not your standard “wedding food.” This is a top-notch, gourmet spread. Go for the pepper-crusted tenderloin appetizer - we heard so many compliments about this one. And the mushroom ravioli pasta is to die for. We added a pasta course, and people who didn’t even like mushrooms loved this dish.

And Christine Brush. She was key in executing our day and I can’t say enough good things about her. We ran into a transportation issue when our contracted bus didn’t show up for the day. She helped us remain calm and at the end of the night, helped coordinate Ubers for anyone who needed to get back to the hotel. And on top of that, when we were back at the hotel for our ‘after party,’ Christine stopped by on her way home to drop off a few items that we had left at the Lawn Club. Christine went above and beyond that day and we are so happy to have worked with her and the entire staff.

After checking almost every wedding venue Connecticut has to offer for our travel-themed extravaganza, this was our last best hope. To say it was the best singular decision we made during the entire wedding planning process is an exercise in understatement.
What makes the NHLC special:
- It’s not a wedding factory. Yours is the only wedding there that day, and the staff there is dedicated to making it as special as possible.
- The wedding coordinator, Christine Brush, is simply fantastic. No detail is overlooked. Anything that goes wrong will be made right to the greatest extent possible. She has more than a decade of experience in weddings, and it shows in her calm, cool professionalism and her guidance in bringing your vision to reality.
- They will make your wedding your own. If you have special requests, a theme, or something out of the ordinary (we got married with the seating arranged in a circle around us in the ballroom), they will do their best to make it happen. In fact, I think they quite enjoy it!
- Speaking of the venue, it’s magnificent. If you’re not into brick backgrounds for pictures, Yale, and its stunning architecture, is minutes away. The ballroom is old-style beautiful, and with the right up-lighting, itransforms to match your color palette. Best of all – no 1980s carpets you see at most venues!
- The food is to die for. Most people don’t remember the food they ate at a wedding. Trust me, most of them will remember the cuisine here.
- They carefully maintain their preferred vendor list. The ones we chose were all top-notch and did a fantastic job (HK Photography, Correlation, Vantage Point Films, JCakes, Candi’s Floral Designs). My understanding is everyone on that list is fantastic.

We got married at the Lawn Club in May, 2017. From the first time I even saw photos of the venue, I knew it was where I wanted to get married, the 1920’s-espue look and décor are incredible and a perfect setting for a wedding. Every aspect of the Lawn Club was perfect. From the service to the food to the landscaping to the candles that are everywhere during the wedding; every detail made our wedding day everything we hoped for. I also can’t say enough about Christie who is the in-house coordinator. For the entire 1.5 years between picking the venue and our wedding day, she made the planning process so easy for me. She was responsive, professional, friendly and helped our rehearsal and wedding day run so smoothly. I can’t imagine having gone through this process without her. We were thrilled with all of the vendors she recommended as well. I can’t say enough great things about the Lawn Club and all of the staff there. We wouldn’t change a thing.

The second I got engaged, I was looking at different wedding venues near the New Haven/Fairfield, CT area. The moment I clicked on the New Haven Lawn Club website, I knew right away I wanted to hold my wedding reception there. I quickly called up the Club and spoke with Christine with Fine Club Fine Catering and rest is history. She was beyond helpful and understood exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding. When I went on my first walk through if the club, I fell in love with the building. The entre atmosphere and energetic of the building was so positive and wonderful. The club is filled with little pops of art and historical pieces that you cannot find anywhere else. The ballroom is breathtaking. The chandlers are absolutely stunning and adds so much elegance to the room. The food tasting event that was held at the club was outstanding. We tasted everything from the appetizers to the main entrees. It was so hard to choose because everything tasted was amazing! When it came create my wedding timeline, Christine was so helpful. She was able to provide the best venders, recommendations and helpful advice. She is a true professional and cares about each and every one of her clients. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club. My wedding was flawless, exciting and the best day of my life. Choosing the NHLC for our venue was the BEST decision we made throughout the whole process. To say the experience was excellent is a vast understatement. The wedding director, Christine Brush, made sure everything was perfect and was with us every step of the way.

We were able to get ready on-site, which I highly recommend doing. We did both our ceremony and reception at the NHLC. During cocktails, the staff flipped the ballroom and the transformation was incredible.

Our wedding was perfect. The ballroom is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the thought that went into each and ever detail was brought to perfection. The trusted vendors recommended by the NHLC were all top-notch. We wouldn't have changed a thing.

I couldn't have wished for a more beautiful or elegant venue for my wedding! The New Haven Lawn Club is stately and classic, with thoughtful details all around (curtains that raise for the bride's entrance, flower petals in the fireplace, and white candles everywhere). We used the Lawn Club's ballroom for the ceremony and the reception. Somehow, during cocktail hour, the Lawn Club staff broke down and transitioned the space so beautifully that I couldn't believe it was the same room (and neither could my guests!). The bridal party got ready on site which I would recommend to everyone - it made for such a stress free day!
The wedding coordinator, Christine Brush, was an absolute lifesaver. She answered all of my questions leading up to the event and made sure that everything ran smoothly on the big day! Which meant I got to enjoy every single minute of my wedding with out any worries.

The Lawn Club is an absolutely AMAZING wedding venue, and the in-shop planning and coordinators Christine and Daniella are absolutely top notch.

From day one, Christine and Daniella were a pleasure to work with. They recommended vendors who were exceptional and great values (Bud Maltin, Sweet Maria's, and Fleur De Lys), which made things easy when planning remotely from Boston. They were prompt in responding to our emails and phone calls, and whenever we came down to New Haven greeted us with a smile and lots of personal attention. They were a joy to work with.

On the day of, Christine was on top of every detail and did a fantastic job. The venue is gorgeous, with a high-vaulted ballroom and NHLC provides lots of candlelight. It made for a magical and regal setting for a wedding. We did the ceremony in the ballroom as well, providing a sunlit venue that was still airconditioned in the July heat (a must for our grandparents). Christine and her team did an amazing job flipping the ballroom during cocktail hour! Christine also had an attendant follow us and our bridal party around to make sure we had a little extra attention and had a great time, which was a wonderful touch. At the end of the night, they packed our car for us and sent us on our way.

Finally, let's not forget the food. It was AMAZING -- I had several people tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Forget overcooked chicken and dry fish -- everything at the Lawn Club was just right and, quite amazingly, exactly as it was at the tasting. The portions were generous, and overall it was a great value (we had the cheaper food option but swapped in some of the fancier hors d'oeuvres while getting rid of the sorbet as well as the crudités and cheese table to keep the cost the same, and they were very flexible in accommodating our requests).

I would HIGHLY recommend the NHLC. They do a great job and are a joy to work with.

The Lawn Club was the perfect venue. We had the wedding of our dreams. The qulity of service you receive at the lawn club is incredible. From the planning through to the service on the wedding day everything was top notch. And our quests absolutely recognized the quality. Daniella was incredible to work with and made the whole process really stressfree. She took care of everything related to planning, organizing and executing on the day of.

The location is absolutely beautiful both the grounds and the ballroom/cocktail area. It made for beautiful pictures inside and out. We had a formal winter wedding and this was the perfect setting. The Lawn Club is decorated for christmas and it was done very tastefully and classic, it only added to the glamour of the event.

And the FOOD. SO GOOD. Everyone raved about it.

Look no further - The Lawn Club is the perfect location for a wedding. My husband and I were married there last June and were completely thrilled with every aspect of the club. The venue is impressive (the chandeliers in the Ball Room!), the food is delicious and the service can't be beat. Christine is the best coordinator you could dream of. She went with us to choose ceremony venues, went on multiple sight visits to prepare and was incredibly responsive to our every request. I cannot rave highly enough about the Lawn Club. I can honestly say nothing but AMAZING things about New Haven Lawn Club. I was so impressed from my first walk through with Christine. She was incredibly natural at explaining all of the venue's offerings, open to all questions, and just easy to talk to that I was drawn to want to collaborate with her. Throughout a year of planning, Christine and Daniella really made the experience seem effortless. They check in to see what vendors I booked, offered to help find vendors when I struggled, and gave great suggestions that I was able to use. They immediately replied to emails and it honestly felt like talking to great friends. I called them the "wedding fairies" which they do not know! Both were so professional, knowledgeable and just a joy to have. I trusted everything with them. NHLC's wedding tasting was phenomenal and vast! It was unlike an experience. Every appetizer, salad, pasta, and main entree (8 total) are served! My husband and I were so full, but couldn't stop eating- it was so good! NHLC has one wedding a day and allows the bride (and groom) to get ready there all day. I was there with my bridesmaids from 8 am until going to the church at 3 pm. It made the day so much more exciting. Seeing everything setting up, flowers coming in, etc. As a bride, I truly loved this and was happy my bridesmaids got the first peek with me. The bridal suite is huge, making the morning so comfortable. We kept blowing the fuses while getting ready and the staff kept resetting the power for us with a smile. All the staff checked on us all morning, asking to help or bring anything. The night was flawless. My husband and I felt such at ease with everyone there. The staff was just as incredible from the bartenders, waiters, literally everyone. You can tell everyone that works here truly loves their job and has a passion for it. We can't thank you all enough! Our day was absolutely perfect and we owe it all to NHLC! We will recommend you to everyone we know getting married.

I wish I could give the Lawn Club ten stars. I was looking for a location that wasn’t your “typical” wedding venue. I knew from the moment I walked into the ballroom that it was the place I would have my reception. The chandeliers, the décor, the ambiance…everything was so classy and elegant. The wedding coordinator, Christine, was the icing on the cake. She had everything under control from the moment I met her until the sparkler send off at the end of the wedding. I always felt like I was the only bride she was working with because she was always available to answer questions. Our wedding day was above and beyond our expectations. The food was PHENOMENAL and I never felt like I had to worry about a thing. Above all, Christine and her staff were able to take my vision of what I wanted the ballroom to look like and transform it into something ten times better than what I ever imagined. Our flowers from Alex of Fleur De Lys and the uplighting from Rob of Correlation Productions were also a big help! Definitely look into these vendors as well! Christine took me and my mother into the ballroom while our guests were still in cocktail hour, and I’m so glad my videographer was there because he captured on camera my complete and utter amazement at how perfectly it had all come together. My mother had DIY’ed so many things and they were able to put everything together perfectly. We actually cried at how stunning it was. Our guests could not stop raving about the wedding! I could go on for hours with praises about Christine and the Lawn Club. You cannot and will not find another venue in CT that will provide the service and quality that you receive here--it is honestly worth every penny. I truly feel so lucky to have had the whole experience and the amazing memories!

We could not have picked a more perfect venue! The Lawn Club is the most beautiful space and created the elegant, romantic atmosphere we wanted. Daniella and Christine, the wedding coordinators, are amazing. I had millions of questions which they responded to quickly. When I needed advice they were there with great ideas. Our wedding day was completely perfect because we picked NHLC. Our guests told us that day and since that it was "the best wedding ever!" I got ready at the venue with my bridesmaids and had nothing to worry about or coordinate. Everything was perfectly taken care of by Daniella and Christine and the fantastic Lawn Club staff. The ballroom was magical for both the ceremony and reception, the food was phenomenal from cocktail hour to the entrees through late night milk and cookies! The New Haven Lawn Club is without a doubt the most incredible venue and made my wedding dream come true! We used the NHLC for both our ceremony and reception venue. The candle lit ceremony was honestly my dream come true and the most romantic setting I've ever experienced! When I walked into the Grand Ballroom, tears immediately filled my eyes because it was simply exquisite and all I have ever dreamed of. The reception was so well organized and beautiful as well. We worked with Christine Brush, wedding coordinator, and Daniella Roma on our wedding planning. These two women are honestly wonderful!! They were so helpful, responsive, professional, and organized. I had a vision for both the ceremony and reception, they heard and understood what I wanted, and delivered!! Everything was exactly as I wanted and dreamed of, all because of their great attention to detail and honest genuine care and pride in their work. The food was outstanding!!! And the wait staff was very professional and attentive. Everything about the Lawn Club was excellent!! I can't say enough wonderful things about the beauty of the venue itself, the food, and the staff. They made my wedding a dream come true.

I had the most amazing wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club. It really was my dream wedding!! Christine (the wedding director) was absolutely a pleasure to work with. She helped me every step of the way. Very responsive and professional, any question or concern I had she had an answer, and advised me throughout. She treats you like your the only wedding she has.

There are two things that sold me on the Lawn Club that not a lot of venues offer. One wedding a day! The bridal party was able to get ready there all day, and not having to worry about another wedding. Also since you are the only wedding that day, you can have your wedding start at any time.
No FIXED start times! We loved that option :)

The place is gorgeous, and the ballroom is breathtaking. Very classy, and elegant! Guests are still talking about how wonderful the staff, food and how different the venue was (it's not your typical venue). Again the FOOD was out of this world. I've been in 7 weddings and this by far was the best food I've ever had! My Husband and I are so happy we chose the Lawn Club, it was the best day of our lives. This place is a gem in New Haven. If you are having a wedding, or any other function there you will not be disappointed!!!

We found the Lawn Club on Wedding Wire and we were just wowed by the pictures. We decided to schedule a visit and when I e-mailed the lawn club I was very impressed by the speed of the response and the professionalism in the e-mail itself. Christine and Daniella are the most supportive, caring and helpful people in this business! We had so many ups and downs during the planning process. I work a ton of hours, had no idea what I was doing and truthfully got lots of bad advice. Christine and Daniella helped us navigate some very difficult decisions and were always there to help us. Even when I was running out of time (and patience) to finish up favors, Christine spent an afternoon to help me get the job done quickly! It was such a relief and she did me the biggest favor!

The building itself is breathtaking. We did visit two other venues before this one and I have to say one of the major selling points for us is that we would be the only wedding that day. They also provide a list of some of the best vendors in the area. The tasting was exceptional for us because it gave us a chance to find all of the vendors we had not yet found. Particularly, our florist, music/entertainment, photobooth, ceremony music, etc. The food was amazing. Every time we see someone for the first time since the wedding they tell us how much they loved the food. But my favorite compliments are the ones about the staff. From the bartenders to the waiters, our guests were amazed at (again) the speed and professionalism staff showed to everything. They were all so warm and inviting.

Between the staff, the beauty and history of the venue itself, the amazing Christine and Daniella, the awesome vendor referrals and having the entire place to yourself on your wedding day... well it just doesn't get any better than the Lawn Club!

The Lawn Club was an amazing wedding venue for me and my husband. From the moment I visited the Lawn Club, Christine was wonderful - she took time to walk us through the venue, describe the way they worked, offer advice on budgets and vendors, and answer any questions that we had. She was always responsive (as was Daniella, the catering manager). Once we booked the venue, I received a full wedding checklist from Christine (everything from "try on your dress" to "send out of town guests information" to "get your wedding license!") and held monthly calls with her to go over what needed to get done that month. She gave great advice on vendors, and when we chose to go with vendors who were not on the preferred list she did a quick review and gave us a fast okay to book them. The last month before the wedding was AMAZING - she and Daniella kicked into high gear, taking care of reaching out to all of our vendors, coordinating their arrival times, making last-minute menu changes, handling our final walk-through and asking us every question under the sun about how we wanted the ceremony, cocktail reception, and wedding reception laid out and how we wanted it to run. The week of the wedding we simply had to drop off our items (table cards and gift books, etc.) come to the venue for the rehearsal, and RELAX. The day of the wedding, we merely showed up at the Lawn Club and basically enjoyed our wedding as guests from that point forward. The venue is beautiful - old world glamour, very convenient for guests to stay in one location, and really high quality. The food got great comments and reviews, as did the flow of the whole evening - much of which Christine and Daniella were responsible for. Honestly, it was a dream wedding for me and my husband.

Christine was helpful from the start of our planning straight through our wedding day. She was always available to discuss our big day and I always knew that I was in good hands. My husband and I had an amazing and stress-free wedding day because of Christine and many others at NHLC!

NHLC surpassed all expectations. The venue is exquisite, with a personality that's unique in the CT wedding world (not another barn, not another country club.). Christine and Daniella are extremely professional, calm, and collected. They manage every detail for you, essentially providing full day-of-coordination. That said, they also provide a variety of resources to make sure clients who do not hire planners (like us) are on top of their to do's at the right time. The food is delicious, and I couldn't believe how many people cleaned their plates - even after stuffing themselves during the equally delicious cocktail hour. Service was impeccable. Our guests didn't want for anything, and several remarked on how helpful and attentive the staff was. The Lawn Club worked with us to ensure our wedding package included the food and drink we wanted at a very reasonable price (not forcing us to also get things we didn't want, just because they were in a set package). We had no idea how much we would get from the Lawn Club when we initially compared them to what I'd consider "comparable venues" - either due to prestige, price, uniqueness- but our gut said this was the place for us. Now, with the big day behind us, there is not a doubt in our minds. There is a reason the Lawn Club has such a stellar reputation, and they live up to it in every way.

We recently just got married at the New Haven Lawn Club on 10/25/13 and we couldn't have been happier with the venue! Christine is a dream to work with and from the day we booked the venue to the actual day of the wedding she was always there to answer questions and put my mind at ease. The Lawn Club is an amazing venue to hold a wedding. From the moment that I stepped foot in the building I knew that I wanted to have my reception here. For one the facility is breath-taking, and so unique and different from the norm. They only hold one wedding at a time, and Christine, and Daniella (wedding cooridinators) could not be more helpful or more accomodating. They bend over backwards to accomodate your every whim, while offering a helping hand whenever you may need one. They truly make your wedding run so smooth, I can not say enough positive about my entire experiece. So many of our guests came up to me to comment on how wonderful everything went and I could not have had a more perfect day.

If I could do my wedding over 1,000 times I would ALWAYS go back to the Lawn Club. They were amazing, Christine and Daniella know how to run an event and from the moment we first walked in on on our initial visit to the last guest leaving the night of the wedding they were amazing to work with and took care of every detail without batting an eye. Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous, the food and service are top notch. I repeatedly heard from guests that it was the venue they had ever seen and they didn't stop raving about the food. From the perspective of a bride in the midst of a whirlwind day the Lawn Club was an oasis - once I arrived I knew everything from that moment on out would be taken care of and I could now relax and enjoy my day.

I was looking for a venue that was not a cookie cutter place. This was (unfortunately) a very tough thing to find unless you wanted to spend a ton of money. Enter the Lawn Club - it's unique, with natural beauty and architecture. It was a hidden gem that not many people knew about.

We were greeted by the sweetest lady as we entered which just put our nerves to ease. We then were introduced to Christine and took the tour. We were both blown away about everything we saw. The Main Dining room was beyond our expectations and looked far better than it does in pictures. The balcony was a nice touch as well as all the fireplaces (which were functional!) and small details. We ended up booking an hr later as we did not want to miss out on securing the lawn club!

The next 1 ½ yrs were great. Christine and Daniella (C&D) were very responsive! We had many questions; they had even more answers. The one thing that stood out about them was that they genuinely cared about making our wedding perfect. We have been in other weddings where the wedding coordinator just seemed like it was another job. Not with C&D! They wanted to make sure that anything they could do to make your day perfect was done!

The food. What can i say about the food? Amazing! We had the Beef Wellington and the Maple Thyme Chicken. Both were fantastic and cooked to perfection. The selection on the menu was far from typical and wowed our guests. People still tell us to this day that it was the best wedding food they've ever experienced.

Overall our experience was WELL Above Average. If we could afford to renew our vows, we'd do it all over again at the NHLC for our 5 yr anniversary.

The timing of each course was perfectly planned – not too rushed, but totally efficient as Christine and Daniella knew we wanted as much time on the dance floor as possible. My husband and I felt like we were in great hands during the entire process, and this is invaluable seeing as there are so many moving parts and things to keep track of during the wedding planning process. I 110% highly recommend the New Haven Lawn Club to any bride and groom looking for a venue with a timeless feel that isn’t just another wedding factory. We loved the venue from the moment we walked in and meeting with Christine to learn more about the venue and their capabilities just sealed the deal that this was where we would have our wedding. I could not have been happier with both the venue and the service that was provided by Christine and Daniella. We loved the venue from the moment we walked in and were completely sold after meeting with Christine the first time. Her passion for both the venue and her job really came through and we could tell she really loved both. They have a very organized system where you know they are always on top of the details along the way. They were incredibly responsive to any questions I had and helped to form our vision. On the actual day of, everything was perfect. As the bride, I felt like they were taking special care of me, but all my guests felt the same way. The food and flow were perfect and everyone raved about everything. I would highly recommend the Lawn Club to anyone looking for a beautiful and special venue that is not a wedding factory but still has the means to accommodate a wedding well.

The entire Lawn Club staff is absolutely phenomenal. From Christine and Daniella, to Andy and John, it is evident that they take great pride in their venue and care deeply for their clients. Warm welcomes from the staff greet you every time you’re there; to say they are accommodating would be an understatement, as they went above and beyond for our wedding and exceeded our expectations on every level. I constantly heard from friends how stressful planning a wedding was going to be…not if the Lawn Club staff has anything to do with it! Christine and Daniella were there for me from the very beginning. Any time I had questions or concerns, they were always there to put me at ease and guide me in the right direction. So often I felt as if I was their only bride, when in fact I know they had dozens of other weddings to plan. They assisted us with everything from booking our vendors (who were all fantastic!) to creating the color scheme and overall design for the wedding. They always responded to my emails in a timely manner and welcomed me to contact them as much as I needed whenever I had questions (which was a lot!)

A huge plus is that they only host one wedding a day, which makes a big difference, as we never felt rushed or pressured to ‘get out.’ The inside of the building is stunning and leaves you with very little that needs to be decorated, especially once they put out all of their candles, which are everywhere! All of the food, from cocktail hour, to dinner, to late-night snacks, was delicious! Months later guests are still complimenting us, saying that it was the most elegant wedding they’ve ever been to. The Lawn Club made it possible for us to have the wedding I always dreamed of and words cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to all of their staff for making my dream become a reality. We will forever reminisce about that wonderful day spent with our family and friends, in a place that cared just as much about our wedding as we did.

Christine and the NHLC team are amazing! We couldn't have had a better wedding day and a lot of that is due to the team's professionalism. Towards the end of the planning process I was nervous that I wasn't going to have a wedding planner but Christine really stepped in and filled that role for the day of. I had nothing to worry about. The venue itself is gorgeous. It has a very art-deco feel and doens't need much extra decoration. We were married in November and they turned all the fireplaces on so it was very warm and cozy as well. The pricing is very reasonable especially considering the level of service you get. The food at our wedding was awesome. Everyone loved the beef wellington! All in all I think we got an amazing deal on our wedding. Our guests said it was one of the nicest weddings they had been to.

NHLC was a joy to work with. They provided many services that other venues did not offer including a coordinator (Christine) who walked with each member of my bridal party during the rehearsal to make sure they felt comfortable, candles, lanterns for the front, advice and guidance, and a fast response to any questions or comments I asked.

Christine completely takes care of your wedding day so that you have absolutely nothing to worry about. My wedding turned out more beautifully then I could have imagined and I highly credit the NHLC and the staff there for making my wedding day so perfect. I can not recommend the NHLC highly enough.

The New Haven Lawn Club did the most amazing job for us. We had a winter wedding on December 1st and took full advantage of the wonderful holiday decorations they put up immediately after Thanksgiving. The ballroom looked just as amazing as it did one year ago when we first picked out the place to hold our reception. The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Christine Brush and Daniella were the best with planning from the very beginning to the very end. The night went by so fast and we wish we could do it all over again! Love, love, love NHLC.....

The Lawn Club is a venue that has everything – great staff, incredible food, beautiful grounds, and gorgeous interior. We had a spring Sunday brunch wedding and received an overwhelming amount of positive comments and rave reviews from our guests regarding the beauty of the venue and the amazing cuisine. One of my aunts said that she has three kids yet to be marry and she was taking note of some of the clever uses of space and the vast spread of exquisite food, so carefully prepared and presented. We worked with Christine, who was a real pleasure and an important member to add to our wedding team. She took the lead and reached out to all the vendors making sure everyone was on the same page. She was well organized and laid out exactly what we needed to do in order to ensure a smooth day. She was very accommodating in our requests for menu modifications as well as listening to our vision for our special day and helping to think outside the box to make it happen. Another aspect of the Lawn Club that we realized only after the wedding was how photogenic it is! Our guests had so much fun that they were posting pictures online of our wedding shortly after it took place (and as it was taking place!). We realized that from all angles and in both silly and posed photos, every shot looked like a million dollar affair - the outside balcony with the blooming trees, the rustic look of the bricks on the exterior, and the fabulous chandeliers, enormous windows, and candlelit fireplace in the ballroom. We also had our ceremony on site. It was our dream to get married right by a fireplace (there are many in the venue!) and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place than the Lawn Club. Thank you to Christine and all the staff for making our special day such a joyous memory!

The New Haven Lawn Club and Christine were amazing! Our reception went off without a hitch. The food was fantastic, the wine glasses are huge and the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, on top of everything, and knew what we needed before we needed it. They even rolled our napkins and reset our places every time we got up to speak to guests or to dance. I wasn't feeling well, and they made sure I had exactly what I needed, even boxing up an extra dinner for me so I could enjoy it later when I was feeling better! Christine accommodated our every need, including several guests with dietary concerns, and was willing to work with us to make sure our wedding was exactly what we pictured. She is kind, always has a smile for her clients, and is incredibly knowledgeable about the Club, the history of the building, and weddings in general. She knows the best in the business, and she always had great ideas and recommendations. The building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and our pictures from that day are amazing due to the fantastic setting. I would highly recommend the Lawn Club to anyone looking to host a wedding or event.

The entire team at NHLC Catering was attentive and responsive to all of our wedding needs. Planning a wedding from 300 miles away could have been an daunting experience if it was not for the attention and advice we received from Christine. She made our vision a reality with ease and kept us calm and cool during the planning process. Our wedding day went off without a hitch. We were able to enjoy every detail because the NHLC team executed all the little additions we had planned to perfection. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. I have a severe nut allergy but the kitchen made sure that there was not a nut to be found so that I could taste everything without worrying that I might end up in the ER. The ballroom looked magical. We were able to have an old world feel in completely modernized and updated facility--very hard to find.

Saying Christine and the NHLC team was amazing would be an understatement! We had a wedding reception with 100 people and none of them could stop with the amazing feedback. From the first time we called to the moment we left they were so flexible in trying to meet our needs and making us happy. I can say that in the end the event literally went perfectly! We couldn't come up with a single complaint... besides the fact that it had to end at some point. Would defiantly recommend to anyone!

We absolutely loved our reception at NHLC! We wanted a beautiful, unique venue and we definitely got it. The vintage architecture and style of the Lawn Club sets it apart from other reception facilities (not to mention the endless photo opportunities it offers). Christine is FANTASTIC to work with, going above and beyond to help us every step of the way during our planning process. I was so comfortable on our wedding day knowing she was in control of everything. The food was excellent and the lighting was perfect (where else could you have candles everywhere!?). Our guests are still talking about it!
One other special feature to highlight is NHLC's tasting, which is by far the best I've heard. Not only do you get to taste all of the food, but your table is designed how you might want it to look on your wedding day. It was such a great way to get different ideas and really picture how everything might look in the room.
We are so happy we chose NHLC and can't picture having our big day anywhere else.

Everything about the New Haven Lawn Club is exquisite! The NHLC took my breath away as I took my first step into the venue - this was it! Besides from the magnificent decor, the entire staff was amazing. Christine was extremely profressional and willing to go above and beyond to ensure perfection. I couldn't be happier with the results - the food was so scrumptiously delicious, and the wait staff was profoundly attentive. I had a wonderful experience and will try to figure out another way to have an event there!

Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. From the staff and service to the food and atmosphere everything was wonderful. They attended to every need we had, from getting the groomsmen bottled water when they arrived, to bringing my husband and I a tray of Hors Devours while we had to take pictures, to packing up the car with all of our belongings when we left.

Having the option to have our ceremony at the Lawn Club was convenient and relaxing too because we didn't want our guest to have to drive from the ceremony to the reception and do a lot of waiting around. They seamlessly transformed the ceremony room into the reception room in an hour, which suprised our guests when they found out they were going back into the same room for dinner.

The food was wonderful. Everything was cooked perfect, tasted great and the presentation was artful. All the meals arrived at the tables with a lid to keep the food hot. The guests had a lot of positive comments on how their beef and chicken were cooked just right. The wait staff was very polite and attendant. They even re-roll the napkin every time you leave the table. Small details like that are a nice touch :)

I can't say enough good things about Christine the wedding coordinator at the Lawn Club. She made all the difference in how our day turned out. She answered all of my questions about food options, pricing, decorating... she helped coordinate the ceremony and how the schedule of the day would go and stayed until the end of the reception. I would have been a lot more stressed if it wasn't for Christine. She is a pleasant, knowledgeable and understanding person to work with!

My husband, family and I absolutely LOVED working with the Lawn Club. Both Daniella and Christine are really sweet and very organized, which made everyone feel extremely at ease. Our guests are still raving about the food and how gorgeous the venue was. I can't give it a 5 on value, because, honestly, the great service comes with a hefty pricetag. My only complaint about the night was that we were told to expect about 20 minutes per course (we had a 3 course dinner), and it ended up being more like 35, which cut into our dancing time. My husband and I didn't really notice because we were so busy going from table to table, but I know some of our guests did. Even with the price and longer dinner, I wouldn't have gone anywhere else!

If you want a classy wedding in New Haven, then New Haven Lawn Club is the only place to do it. I was planning my wedding while I was a law student and so I just did not have the time to take care of the million and one details that go into a reception. New Haven Lawn Club made everything so much easier - and made it look a million times better than I could have ever done on my own.

So many of our guests and family raved about the food, service, and ambiance. One of our guests even said that this was the one true gem left in this state. We cannot believe how well The staff transformed the ceremony into the reception, in such short time! I was breathless when I saw it. We said day one, and our wedding only confirmed it, that we picked the best wedding venue this state has to offer. Our wedding was a memorable experience thanks to the Lawn Club and it's staff.

As in control and organized as they were, they were still incredibly accommodating and flexible. Food was incredible and we received so many complements about the food, the wait staff and of course the gorgeous venue. Just beautiful. Exquisite. I'd highly highly recommend the lawn club to anyone looking for a gorgeous, elegant ambiance for their event, as well as unparalleled quality food and service, and knowledgable, accessible, warm, supportive staff. We wanted a place that was classic and glamorous and that is what we got. Such a special and unique historical building. The flow of the night was perfect, no complaints!

We loved our experience at the Lawn Club. Christine Brush, the Wedding Director, immediately won us over. It was the first place we looked, and almost didn't want to look at any other places. The staff was extremely helpful and put on a gorgeous event. We felt like we didn't need to worry about a thing. Our guests complimented us on the beautiful venue and the good food!

My husband and I were looking for a venue that was not a "wedding factory," one with class and glamour, and one that could provide the food and atmosphere to make our reception memorable for our families and guests. The NHLC delivered it all. We loved the proximity of the venue to Yale's lovely grounds, and the ballroom itself is breathtaking with high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers, and stately fireplace. We had about 130 guests with a spacious dance floor and the room felt full without being crowded; although the ballroom technically holds up to 200 people, I would imagine that everyone could start to feel cramped at that number. There is separate, equally lovely cocktail area with a piano for cocktail music. The food was also DELICIOUS!

Christine Brush, who was our point of contact at the NHLC and our day-of coordinator, is excellent. She answered all of my emailed questions and concerns as I was a bride planning from afar, and met with us and our parents numerous times to make sure that the day would run smoothly. On the day of the wedding, she coordinated deliveries from the bakery, DJ, and photographer and beautifully set up multiple boxes of photographs and props that I had dropped off. Give her time to get back to your emails, though - she runs all of the weddings and receptions held at the club, so she is a busy lady!

We had many people tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The staff was very accommodating and handled a rowdy crowd that included many young professionals who enjoyed themselves immensely. One small point to nitpick: they did card our guests and policed the tables at dinner to make sure no one was giving anyone underage drinks. While I understand that the NHLC is liable and of course not obliged to serve anyone alcohol, it was a very bizarre scene at the start of dinner. Overall, though, we were very satisfied with our experience and would recommend the New Haven Lawn Club to future couples.
