Lakes Cakes provided my Wedding Cake for My January 2010 Wedding! They were amazing! I gave a photo of what i wanted and they made EXACTLY what i wanted! I had 5 Tiers with all different flavors and they were amazing!!!!!! The Prices were very reasonable as well. I was very pleased with my Wedding Cake, I had sooo many compliments as well!!!

Working with Heidi was so easy and pleasant! We showed her a couple of pictures of what we were looking for, and she did a fantastic job! All of the cakes we tasted were absolutely amazing and she gives you the opportunity to mix and match as much as you want. I can definitely recommend the peanut butter mousse with the chocolate cake. We got so many compliments on the cake, not just for how pretty it was, but for how great it tasted. Very affordable too!

Lakes Cakes provided us with all my wife and I could have ever wanted for a wedding cake. It looked amazing and tasted even better. Their website speaks for itself, but the price was as reasonable as we had seen. No charge for even fresh fruit in the layers of the cake! Hands down lakes cakes was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

I was beyond impressed with Lakes Cakes! The location wasn't ideal for me but the prices and cake was worth it! I would highly recommend Lakes Cakes to anyone. We received numerous compliments at the wedding. The spice cake was a huge hit. Thanks again Lakes Cakes!

I would not recommend this business. They are extremely unprofessional when it comes to any customer inquiries. The cake tasted and looked fine. The real problem is with how they deal with customers. They don't make you feel comfortable at all. I posed some basic questions about the cake and in response received very unprofessional, sarcastic, and resentful emails. When I returned the cake stand after the wedding, my deposit was thrown at me and the door slammed in my face with no "thank you for your business" or anything. It was as if they were shocked I would dare to ask a questions and doubt them at all. They obvious have never heard the old saying "the customer is always right." We paid in full on-time and did not deserve to be treated as if we were deadbeats. The questions that were posed were questions that any discerning customer would ask so that everything was accurate and our notes and her notes were accurate as to the final product. All in all it was not a good experience. It is deceiving because they are nice when you walk in the door and pay, but once you start asking more than one question they turn on you and become very unprofessional. I would find another vendor for your cake. If you have any concerns about the setup of the cake, the flavors, or anything to do with price, they will pretty much throw it back in your face. Also, they are very difficult to get ahold of by phone so any questions that need answering will go unanswered for a few days or more if they decide to check their email. So, needless to say, I would have rather paid a little bit more and been treated alot better with another company.

I am not a creative person, so it was hard to think of ideas for a cake. But with the ideas that I gave Heidi, she created the most beautiful wedding cake that I have ever seen!! Not only did it look beautiful, it tasted amazing. The cake itself was moist and the frosting was not sugary sweet. We received many compliments about the cake, and I could not agree more. I can't wait for our one year anniversary cake!!

Having a reliable vendor to supply your wedding cake is very important � and for that I give a 5/5. The cake tasted good, the service was great, the response to all my questions and needs were great, presentation was outstanding, but the cake almost fell over and I am not sure why. As beautiful as it was, my husband hurt his tooth on the sugar candies, as did I, that decorated the tiers. I would give the overall rating a 4/5. In all fairness, we had candles around the cake, and that may have made it fall. I didn�t know the little balls on the cake would be that hard on your teeth. I would recommended this supplier, but the above is what I would do different.

I wasn't able to get my wedding cake from Lakes Cakes due to a prior commitment, but they did our wedding favors- very delicious cookies! She did a phenomenal job getting our unique cookies just right to match the theme of our wedding. I also got cookies for a baby shower I was throwing around the same time. I would very happily recommend Lakes Cakes to anyone!

Heidi and Greg were great to work with! They helped with every aspect of picking out our wedding cakes and favors. We had a cake on everytable and needed to incorporate a gluten free cake for the bride. They were able to deliver all the cakes and they tasted great. We recieved numerous compliments from guests.
The only thing we didn't like was the cake design...we had pictured a smoother more fondant-like cake topping without any decorative icing drops on the top or sides of the cakes. While the cake was very nice looking it was simply not what we had pictured.
I would definitely recommend Lakes Cakes to others and simply suggest you provide them with a picture of exactly what you want. They do great work, are very professional and make picking out and desigining a cake seem effortless.

I had a pretty specific idea of the kind of cake I wanted and the design ect. Lakes cakes is the BEST cake in town, quite possibly the whole Midwest! AND its the greatest priced. I would NEVER recommend anyone else for a wedding. Our wedding cake was just phenomenal. I am still getting complements to this day! Despite the fact that for the price of the cake we also get an anniversary cake, I saved the top because the rest of the cake was big enough to feed all my guests and then some! I just couldn't have asked for more from Lakes Cakes. You'd be crazy not use them for your wedding.

Lakes Cakes is AMAZING! We loved working with them for our wedding cake and our wedding cake was perfect! When first booking with Heigi and Gregory we went to their home where they provided us a sample of every cake, every filling, and every flavor of icing they had! It was wonderful. They kept in constant contact with us throughot our planning and were very open to any ideas we had. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our cake was everything we imagined and more!
