We had the pleasure of working with Kimbrough for our wedding and ceremony music in August 2017. He was very friendly, quick to respond to emails and reasonably priced. We actually got his contact after seeing him in action at a friend's wedding - we danced the night away at their wedding so we had to get his contact info when it came time to booking ours. He not only did the ceremony music, he also handled the mic set up for our officiant. For our reception, Kimbrough did a mix of our requested songs and similar genre songs to fill out the evening. Everyone raved about the music! He was also a fantastic emcee for the evening and coordinated with the venue coordinator on timing of everything. Couldn't have made a better choice than Kimbrough! If you need a DJ, Kimbrough is your man! -

Kimbrough made our wedding so perfect and seamless! We found him while browsing through DJs on Youtube, and really liked how he always got the crowd going. Well, sure enough, the dance floor was never empty! First of all, let me start off with this... My groom's dad couldn't make it to the wedding, so his family and I arranged a surprise for my groom. His dad recorded a speech and we were going to play it at the end of the speeches! When I proposed this idea to Kimbrough, he was on board and helped make it all possible. After the speeches were done, he announce the surprise and played the audio clip of my groom's dad. Sure enough, everyone was in tears. It was such a beautiful moment, and it wouldn't have been possible without Kimbrough's help!
Even before the wedding, Kimbrough was easy to work with. He was always prompt with answering our questions. There were no hidden fees with his prices, he was straight forward with his services and what he offered. He even went out of the way to visit our venue to scope out the area. How awesome!
For the ceremony, he provided the music. Let me just say, everything was PERFECT. The songs we chose, especially for walking down the aisle, he was on point with everything.
The reception, also amazing. He stuck with our list of requested songs (we had a long list...) and he also threw in some other awesome songs that we forgot to list. He knew how to read the crowd, and definitely knew what songs got us going. His emcee skills, were perfect. It's like he knew the entire timeline by memory and pretty much hosted the entire reception flawlessly.
Overall, Kimbrough was so great to work with. He was such a kind warm person when we first met him. Such a friendly person! Highly recommended!!! -

The best. Super nice, super professional, and read the crowd perfectly. Dinner music for atmosphere, lovely, happy, but never overpowering. Announcements were clear, correct, and just the right approach. Not over the top, not phony, just simple professionalism! Unfailingly pleasant and responsive. Great dance music for us boomers, morphing into some newer stuff for the 20 somethings. But nothing stupid like Doobie's "Listen to the Music," (apologies to those who like that tune) and as to the newer stuff, the young crowd loved it but we older folks could relate to it too. Yay Kimbrough! Highly, highly recommend Kimbrough Salas Music. -

I changed my mind a hundred times about our music. He was always kind and never impatient with me, no matter when I emailed him etc. Very nice to work with great music. -

Kimbrough was awesome! He has a GREAT DJ voice and was funny, witty, yet subtle the entire time. He didn't try to take over the reception and stayed in the background for the most part (unless we asked him to MC an event). He played great music, and the dance floor was packed with guests of all ages the entire night. He definitely made the party and I couldn't have asked for anything more from a DJ! -

Kimbrough was awesome, my only complaint was that we had to pay an additional $200 for ceremony music. Other than that he played GREAT music, took requests and was VERY personable. Would definitely recommend him. -

Kimbrough was our wedding DJ.
We were able to have our questions answered by email no problem, he always got back to us with in 24hrs.
I feel torn at giving him 2 or 3 stars, but 3 is an A-Ok experience and we were not A-ok with everything...
We made him a list of what we wanted and what we DIDN'T want...and this is what we got...
Good things~
He follows our list for our Ceremony, Cocktail, first dance, father daughter dance..
He was professional in his attire and manner of speaking.
Bad things~
We gave him a "do not play list" and he played things on our "do not play list", which included specific songs and genres of music.
He played the wrong cake song.
He played the last dance song wrong and played something from our "do not play" song.
We asked for a specific artist to be played and neither my husband or I remember ever hearing it
We asked that music be from 90's and earlier and he played current songs, that would fall under our "do not play" list.
Like I said earlier i'm torn between how many stars to give, but when your planning a wedding and you give someone a specific list of what you want/don't want at your wedding it would have been nice for him to honor that
