Kennedy's Kitchen was an absolute joy and blast to work with. They brought not only their own equipment beyond their instruments, but they brought the energy and the joy to match the day and to celebrate with us not just as musicians but as additional guests. From the first conversation we had with them, through the phone calls of ironing out musical details for the ceremony or reception, to the day of the wedding they were professional, friendly, caring, reassuring, and excited.
They brought their expertise to the table and could both suggest options and provide music and ideas we hadn't considered or were at a loss on how to solve. We wanted to have a ceilidh (Gaelic group dance) for our reception to change things from the normal dance party, and Kennedy's Kitchen came with the best music, the energy, and the right people not only to perform but to call/ lead the dances. We packed our dance floor out beyond what it could hold with people who never had tried a ceilidh or even generally wouldn't be on the dance floor, and we attribute that to the energy and the joy that the band had. It was one of the best nights of dancing and music we had experienced, and our guests continue to bring up Kennedy's Kitchen and the quality of music and the fun of the led dance they put on for us. The venue staff even were blown away by the energy of the evening led in large part by these amazing musicians, and people.
I cannot recommend enough, working with Kennedy's Kitchen. Some of the most gracious and talented and relaxed people you could hope to work with for such a special day. -

One of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding was asking Kennedy's Kitchen to perform. They played our ceremony and dinner accompaniment and then threw a ceili complete with a dance caller. It was the perfect way to pay homage to my time living in Northern Ireland and Scotland and my partner's family heritage. Our guests had an absolute blast and JoHn and the band were an absolute delight to have as part of our day—they felt like old friends and a dear part of the celebration. Seriously—this was such a fun way to get a little moment on the dance floor with nearly all our guests. We had SUCH a blast at our own wedding and our guests are still talking about it.
Great communication, really flexible as our timeline had to shift here or there, and their musical talent is above and beyond what we could have hoped for. If you're looking to make some wonderful, unique memories withy our guests and for a music style to really capture JOY, Kennedy's Kitchen provides that in spades.
