(Multiple San Diego Kay Locations) NOT HAPPY at all with Kay Jewelers. I love my ring it is amazing. It came from one of their designers that is not carried in the stores. However, the service of the people at the store is ridiculously horrible. What does customer service mean? Sleezy sales people? Incompetence? The engagement ring came with a band and I wanted an additional band to match. They charged me 3x the price of the band and then they gave me a hard time to correct the problem. Meanwhile they also charged me before I saw the ring which I specifically told them not to do. I realized when I got a bill in the mail (still no ring in possesion). Asked them to reverse the charge. Then never actually reversed it on the KAY credit card so that I became late then had to go in to correct all the problems (thank goodness it never got reported to the credit agencies) but had to talk to about 5 different people to get it corrected. I could go on and on but I will NEVER EVER do business with them again! You should not either. Also, every sales guy in there is a sleezy used car salesman to the millionth degree! -

Their service was terrible. The store looked closed because the chain-type door was closed on the side. The manager, Barbara (?) said she did it because of leaking.
I was ignored for a long time when I came in with my baby stroller before I was offered assistance.
Love, the lady who serviced me left my engagement ring in the cleaner for a long time. (It got clean!) She assisted a man & ignored me some more. I felt that because he had a new big purchase, I could be put treated like a nobody. When I asked to borrow the phone, because my husband had walked around the mall & had accidentally taken my phone, she put me on hold again. Good thing her customer was generous & allowed me to call/text on his phone.
When I was interested in a new setting, she made me wait while she assisted a man & told me I ought to upgrade to a bigger diamond & then referred me to the ring setting specialist who was coming into town. -
