A Jewish Wedding for an Interfaith Couple

Rabbi Broden officiated our son's wedding, and we could not have been happier with the experience.

As an interfaith couple, it was important that the ceremony honor Jewish tradition while also feeling welcoming and meaningful to guests from a variety of backgrounds. Rabbi Broden struck that balance beautifully. The ceremony felt personal, thoughtful, and engaging, and many of our guests commented afterward on how much they enjoyed it.

Throughout the process, he was warm, professional, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. On the wedding day, he guided the ceremony with grace and sincerity, helping to create a memorable and meaningful experience for our family and friends.

We are grateful for his care and thoughtfulness and would highly recommend him to any couple looking for a rabbi to officiate their wedding.

Rabbi Ron is the best!

Rabbi Ron was the perfect person to lead our wedding ceremony. He was kind, patient, and efficient when planning exactly what we wanted. He was timely and flexible and was willing to cater our ceremony to our preferences. We also had a priest perform the ceremony, and Rabbi Ron worked seamlessly with him. Not only is Rabbi Ron a wonderful person, but he also has a beautiful voice - his singing made our Ketubah signing and ceremony even more unique. He was devout and highly knowledge about Jewish traditions. We highly recommend him!!

We couldn't be happier with Rabbi Ron, who officiated our wedding this past weekend! He was personable, enthusiastic, and made the entire experience so special for us. From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive and guided us every step of the way. He made sure we knew exactly what to have ready as far as paperwork and katubbah as well.

Rabbi Ron’s energy and warmth added so much to our ceremony, and we’re forever grateful for the joy and meaning he brought to the day.

Rabbi Broden made our wedding ceremony perfect!

Rabbi Broden is a very nice man. He responded to our emails timely and eased our anxieties. We are an interfaith couple. My husband's name is "Christian"! I grew up in a Jewish family and I always knew I wanted a Rabbi to marry me and I am so happy that Rabbi Broden was the Rabbi to marry us. He made Christian very comfortable and his wedding ceremony was very meaningful to us, and something we will always remember. He also has a great voice! I am excited to keep in touch with Rabbi Broden throughout our marriage and future milestones.

Rabbi Broden was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning of our interfaith wedding (Jewish and Catholic). We appreciated how receptive Rabbi Broden was to our ceremony drafts and how well he worked alongside our priest, Father Borda. Amazing Ceremony!

Rabbi Ron was great! We had an interfaith ceremony and he was so helpful walking my partner and I through the different pieces. He was a quick communicator and worked with us on editing the ceremony script to make it the perfect ceremony for us. Everyone kept telling us how wonderful the ceremony was - personal, heartfelt, had the right amount of tradition/religion.

Great Experience!

Rabbi Ron was such a phenomenal complement to our wedding day. Both the ketubah signing and ceremony were perfect. The words he spoke meant so much to us and our families. He really helped make our day so special!

We loved that we were able to see the whole layout from start to finish and had the flexibility to add custom sentiments that were specific to us and our families.

Best Jewish Ceremony Ever

Rabbi Ron was absolutely amazing with communication, and we had a great time at the ceremony.

He went over everything he was going to say at the pre-planning session and showed us the exact script he was going to use. My husband and I are both Jewish but not members of any temple, and we were so happy to have had Rabbi Ron who made us feel like he had known us for years.

There are so many things that make Rabbi Ron so great, like his nice-looking signature on our ketubah and how he knew to immediately jump out of the way for our 1st kiss. His singing was so beautiful, and we look forward to re-watching the videos of our ceremony many many times! 😀😀😀

Rabbi Broden conducted a beautiful, meaningful ceremony; many of our guests commented on how great the ceremony was. The ceremony was also a perfect length and within our time allotment in our schedule. He also conducted a beautiful Ketubah signing. All was also accessible for non-Jews. He is a pro.

More than we expected

Everything went really smoothly and the ceremony was exactly like we were hoping it would be.

We received overwhelming feedback from our guests that they were impressed with how the rabbi sang the prayers and that they thought it added a lot to the whole event. Those comments came from a mix of Jews that have been to Jewish weddings before and Christians who were new to it all. We agree with them all!

Rabbi made us feel calm and knew what he was doing. My husband is less religious than myself and Rabbi was able to combine both of our views together, he totally got our vibe.
Would highly recommend him!

Amazing, warm and reliable!

Rabbi Broden is the best! Last year my daughter’s wedding and last night my son’s. Both times he hit a home run! So thoughtful in designing a ceremony that fits your particular needs. Responsive , communicative and reliable. Last night he co officiated with my dil‘s family pastor. He planned with him and helped create a loving, moving, joyous, humorous yet spiritual ceremony. Everyone is texting me telling how much they enjoyed it. He has an infectious joy that comes through his officiating. If you don’t have a family rabbi , which we didn’t a year ago, now you do! Thanks so much Rabbi!

Ron did a phenomenal job listening and making my wedding ceremony perfect. My husband and I were nervous on how an interfaith ceremony would go, but Ron nailed it. He focused more on love, commitment, unity, family and sprinkled in bits of both of our religions. He made it personal with a few jokes and my family and friends gave us so many compliments on how great the ceremony was. We could not have been happier!!

Great decision to hire Rabbi Broden!

My husband and I hired Rabbi Broden to officiate our wedding on 7/16 and he was fantastic. He was very easy to work with and we enjoyed working with him to craft our perfect ceremony. Fantastic experience!!

Rabbi Ronald Broden officiated our wedding this past Sunday and planned a ceremony that was super meaningful and special for us. My husband is catholic with Jewish lineage and his family is from Spain and Rabbi Ron did the ceremony in English, Spanish and Hebrew. Rabbi Ron also provided great suggestions and customized parts of the ceremony specific to our needs. We would highly recommend Rabbi Ron!!!

Interfaith Wedding Ceremony was Perfect

The perfect mix of our values and beliefs!

We loved having Rabbi Broden as the officiant for our wedding! My family is Jewish, and some are quite religious, while my husband and his family are not. Rabbi Broden was able to incorporate my Jewish traditions in a way that explained them to the guests, and still included my husband's traditions and values. We felt it was the perfect mix of our two beliefs! He was also incredibly responsive, and tailored the wedding to what we wanted. It was a gorgeous ceremony!

Outdoor Interfaith Wedding

Rabbi Broden was amazing. He met with us before our wedding and sent us an outline of his ceremony so we could personalize it. We had a bi-cultural interfaith wedding, so the ability to make sure that everyone would enjoy the ceremony was really important to us. On top of that, we really wanted to have a pretty short ceremony. Rabbi Broden did all of that, and we had the absolute perfect ceremony - one that will always warm our hearts when we think about it.

Great Rabbi for Our Interfaith Marriage

Rabbi Broden was the perfect officiant for our interfaith marriage! I'm Catholic and my now husband is Jewish so we wanted to honor both of our families by having a Rabbi and a Priest for the ceremony. Rabbi Broden was very responsive to my emails, great to work with, and kindly helped me create a beautiful ceremony script. Our guests really enjoyed hearing Rabbi Broden sing during our ceremony. Amazing ceremony!

Rabbi Ron was amazing. First off, he was incredibly responsive. We had many questions while planning our interfaith ceremony and he was able to answer all of them so quickly. Second, he planned a beautiful ceremony that our guests are still raving about! His voice is beautiful, and it added such a special touch to our day. You have to hire Rabbi Ron for your wedding!!

Rabbi Broden was our officiant for our wedding this September. We are an interfaith couple and we had a Jewish ceremony. From our first meeting via Skype, Rabbi Broden was very personable and helpful. We spent a majority of this meeting talking about who we were individually and as a couple. We could tell that he was actually interested in us as people and he wanted to get to know us better. We liked his flexibility and his friendliness - we were very comfortable speaking with him. Over the next few months, Rabbi Broden was always very prompt in answering emails whenever we had a question or concern. On the wedding day, he delivered a wonderful and moving ceremony. Rabbi Broden is also an excellent cantor. We were very happy that we chose him for our wedding!

Rabbi Broden did a great job preparing our son for his Bar Mitzvah. He also performed the ceremony and did a wonderful job. We were thrilled and so were our guests. The ceremony was the perfect length and the tone was exactly right. There were serious moments and just the right sprinkling of humorous interludes. It was a deeply meaningful and memorable experience.

My husband and I felt so lucky to have found Rabbi Ron for our July wedding. Rabbi Ron made our ceremony light yet touching as his words incorporated meaningful Jewish culture with today's modern traditions. He is extremely professional and flexible, ensuring that your ceremony is carried out the way you feel most comfortable. Rabbi Ronald Broden was excellent. We could not have picked a better Officiant for our wedding. I was raised Jewish and my wife was raised Catholic. Rabbi Broden, was very easy to work with and allowed us to create our ceremony. He was extremely helpful with the process. My wife and I live in Massachusetts, but got married in New York City. Rabbi Broden, was very easy to work with considering our distance. We worked via e-mail, telephone and most impressive SKYPE.

Rabbi Broden, was able to include traditions from both of our religions and customs.

The entire attendance was blown away by our ceremony. We highly recommend him!

Ron Broden was a great officiant at our wedding. We had a traditional Jewish ceremony, but wanted to start before sundown on Saturday, and Ron was very flexible about this and happy to oblige. We met once with him at his home, and he provided us with a ceremony script before hand that he allowed us to completely personalize and make our own. He added specific elements we wanted incorporated, and took out others we did not want. Ron was prompt and professional in signing our marriage license and our ketubah and performed a really lovely ceremony. He was warm and personable and helped make a wonderful day for us.

Being Jewish from a moderately conservative background, I wanted my wedding to preserve the customs of a traditional Jewish wedding. Rabbi Broden recently officiated the Jewish ceremony for my Hindu-Jewish interfaith wedding. I am so, so happy to have worked with him. Ron was great to work with. We live out of state so we Skyped with him prior to the ceremony. He sent us a couple versions of ceremony options and we picked the one that best fit us. We then went through and determined if there were parts we wanted to leave out or modify. Once all of the changes were made, Ron sent us a copy of our ceremony outline.
Come ceremony day, we had ours at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. Not only did we have several friends and family there but several strangers stayed to watch the ceremony. After the ceremony we had MANY compliments from our friends and family about how great Ron did. We also received several compliments from strangers that watched the ceremony as well. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend using Ron.

Rabbi Broden co-celebrated our inter-faith wedding with an Episcopal clergyman. We wove together his service with the traditional Episcopal wedding service. Rabbi Broden is an incredibly brilliant singer and cantor. His chanting was beautiful and moving, filling the space with a deep rich tone: one of the highlights of the ocassion! We felt his traditional seminary education in the Torah with the history of liturgy and ceremony, further provided a grounding in Judaism, fundamental to our interfaith union. Rabbi Broden met with us twice, and communicated very responsively and promptly to many emails. He was very easy to work with!

We were so happy and blessed to have Rabbi Broden officiate our interfaith wedding. We had a traditional Jewish ceremony, with a respectful acknowledgement of our different backgrounds. He is very open minded and set to include people of different faith to the Jewish tradition, which was important for us.
Rabbi Broden's ceremony was beautiful and special, and the way he sang the Hebrew prayers was truly a magical moment.

On August 30, 2015 Rabbi Ronald Broden married my wife and I in a beautiful Jewish ceremony at the West Hills Country Club in Middletown New York.
My wife and I were clear about the flow and feeling we wanted our wedding to evoke from the beginning. We wanted a ceremony that would have two sections. The first section would honor practices from various spiritual traditions. The second section would be a complete Jewish wedding ceremony performed by a Rabbi. We wanted these two sections to be distinct and yet flow together seamlessly.
When we were looking for a Rabbi, we wanted someone who would be comfortable being part of a ceremony that included rituals and practices from other spiritual traditions. We wanted a Rabbi who would be flexible with the content of the Jewish ceremony. Most importantly we wanted a Rabbi who would lead the Jewish section in a way that would honor the section which preceded it.
Our first SKYPE connection with Rabbi Broden was great, he took the time to get to know us. He showed a genuine interest in our beliefs and us as a couple. Without prompting, he emphasized that he would be very flexible about the content in the Jewish section. He said that he would email us a copy of a script for a full Jewish wedding. In the script he would indicate which sections were critical for the ceremony and which sections were up to our discretion. My wife and I left the interaction feeling confident that he was the right Rabbi for our wedding.
In each follow up conversation with Rabbi Broden he continue to instill confidence in us that he was the perfect choice. He was present in each of our conversations, he listened to our vision and whole heartedly accepted being part of every element.We appreciated his overall easy going and flexible demeanor.
The day of the ceremony in addition to beautifully delivering the script we had prepared he included a personal statement about us that was inspired, heartfelt and brought tears to people's eyes.

Ron was fantastic. Within the first few minutes of speaking with him on the phone about our wedding I knew we would click. When my fiancé and I met him to speak about the kind of ceremony we wanted, he was so open and made us feel like there was no wrong answer or request. Rabbi Ronald Broden was amazing my wedding. I had another rabbi who canceled on me 1 week before the wedding. Luckily I found Ronald and he came and married my wife and I. We will forever be grateful for his efforts and amazing ceremony. You will never be disappointed in his services.

Ron is a lovely cantor and human being. My husband and I had an interfaith wedding (I am Jewish and he is Catholic), and Ron was incredible about incorporating elements of both religions in our wedding ceremony. All of his suggestions were immensely helpful and thoughtful, which resulted in a beautiful, meaningful ceremony. Many of my husband's relatives even expressed how seamlessly Ron was able to weave both traditions together, and how much they appreciated the acknowledgement of their customs. I am so grateful that Ron was the one to marry us, and I have no hesitations recommending him wholeheartedly.

We were so happy & thankful with our choice to have Rabbi/Cantor Ron Broden as part of our special day. He was extremely amenable to what our wishes were and was always available throughout the planning process. His vast experience and world travels also made him an ideal fit for our interfaith wedding, which also blended together multiple cultures (many of which he was familiar with...now that is rare!). Our guests continue to compliment and rave about our ceremony to this day...and Ron played a large part in that. Thanks Ron for helping make our wedding a unique and memorable event.

Rabbi Broden was the perfect choice for our wedding. He responded to our initial inquiry very promptly and could not have been more welcoming and gracious when we first met to discuss our wedding. His ceremony was beautiful and he offered us the opportunity to customize it as much as we liked. He both spoke and sang a number of the hebrew prayers, which was important to us, and we loved that he involved our parents in the ceremony. We received so many compliments from wedding guests about the lovely ceremony Rabbi Broden performed and my husband and I were so glad to have had him as such an important part of our wedding day.

Ron was exactly the type of officiant that our interfaith marriage needed. He was able to incorporate some of the Jewish traditions and yet he was professional enough to keep it spiritual for the family and friends who were not of the Jewish faith to feel included in the ceremony.
Our introductory meeting with him was conducted in his home and he made us feel exrtremely comfortable. On the day of the wedding, Ron arrived early and spoke with us, to keep us calm and to once again tell us his approach. Emails were exchanged frequently and always answered by him promptly and thoroughly.
We wholeheartedly endorse and recommend him as an officiant at any wedding.

Rabbi Broden was an amazing officiant for our wedding. My husband is from the Dominican Republic and we had our ceremony bilingually. His family was appreciative of Rabbi Broden's translation of the English in our ceremony and said his Spanish was perfect and well enunciated! We both knew we were set for our wedding the moment we met him. He was kind, easily accessible, and was very open to changes we wanted/needed no matter when we needed them! He is very warm, and professional, and his ceremony and singing is beautiful. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about our ceremony (and his beautiful voice) and we owe it to Rabbi Broden. I would highly recommend him as a wedding officiant to anyone! Thank you Rabbi Broden for making our ceremony unique, and memorable for both sides of the family!

My husband and I had a very difficult time deciding how to address an interfaith (Jewish/Catholic) ceremony without offending anyone or leaving out anything important. From the very beginning, Ron was kind, patient, and incredibly sensitive to our very complicated needs. My Jewish relatives felt like they were at a Jewish wedding yet my husband's family found lots of familiar traditions, prayers and qualities and everyone raved about how wonderful it was. Ron even did a short bit in Italian for my husband's family, which was phenomenal! I would recommend him without reservation- it was a perfect ceremony!

Rabbi Broden was incredible. Right when we met him he had a very calming way about him and we liked him right away! Our ceremony was beautiful and he helped us create a ceremony that was right for us. All of our guests and family told us what a heart-felt, personal ceremony it was and how much they liked our Rabbi. I would definitely highly recommend him! His singing voice is beautiful!

My partner and I had an outstanding experience with Rabbi Broden in our same-sex wedding on Long Island, and our families and friends loved him as well. My husband and I had a Jewish/Filipino wedding ceremony. Rabbi Ron met with us and learned about our lives, helped us plan a ceremony that was right for us and allowed my husband and I to make as many changes to it as we liked. He was warm and welcoming to our guests and performed our ceremony wonderfully.

My husband and I are an interfaith couple who are very happily married after Ron officiated our wedding ceremony over 2 years ago. He was the first and only Rabbi/Cantor I met with, and I felt immediately at ease during our consultation meeting. My husband was overseas at the time, so I made the decision to entrust Ron with officiating. Reading the service he emailed to me brought tears to my eyes (and I don't get verklempt very often) and I knew we had made the right decision. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Ron's voice was amazing, and his words were equally beautiful. My guests still speak very highly of Ron, and the unique experience he brought to our wedding. I might also add that my husband's family is Australian and had never been to a Jewish wedding, yet they felt Ron was very warm and approachable. He added enough interfaith elements so that everyone felt included.

We hired Ronald Broden to hire us from a referral we received from my sister. Ronald was extremely professional and brought in all the requests that my husband and I had for our ceremony. I would definitley recommend him to anyone looking for a meaningful ceremony!

My husband and I got married at National Arts Club in NY. We are from LA and so had a lot of anxiety about doing the event so far away. We found Ronald Broden, and we asked for his help. We had a couple of calls and and a meeting with cantor Broden. He did a great job of planning the event, taking into account our needs and listening to our preferences and expectations. My husband is Jewish and I am Christian. He provided an incredible job at combining the traditions of two different religions. He made the event personal, which made it very special for us.

Cantor Broden was cheerful and helped set the tone for the entire day. He was on time, and very well dressed. Again, all of our guests commented that he was one of the best wedding officiants they had ever seen. His style was very inclusive, and he made it a point to make everyone there feel part of our special day in a way I have never seen before.

Great guy. My wife and I are an interfaith couple and we sat with Ronald and discussed our wishes, he was very understanding and was able to customize his service on the fly based on our requests. He was there on time, and ran the ceremony like clockwork. Efficient and friendly. Our wedding is considered by our family to be one of the best weddings they ever witnessed as in part due to the beautiful ceremony Ronald Broden provided. Highly recommended.

Ron was beyond amazing, the entire ceremony was beautifully performed. Not only were his words touching and meaningful to both of us, he also sang the blessings wonderfully! All of our guests were so impressed and we have referred to several couples. I'm Jewish and my husband is Catholic and he was the perfect fit for both of us.

I really must say that Rabbi Ron Broden was amazing!! He has a beautiful singing voice but beyond that he has an empathy for those around him. His intuitiveness of what we needed and wanted our day to be was evident in his communications as well as the ceremony on our wedding. Our guests are still talking about him over a year later. We are an interfaith couple but we really wanted was our cultures of origin to shine.
So we said our vows in Hebrew, Italian, and English. It brought great meaning for us as well as our families and expressed the respect that we as a couple joining our 2 cultures in matrimony and our officiant as well had for this important factor of our lives. Thank you, Rabbi Broden for a wonderful memory!

He was a great rabbi, very accommodating and respectful of the traditions we wanted to include (and not include) in our ceremony. We meet a few times beforehand and he arrived on time on the day of the wedding. Easy vendor to work with!

My wife and I are an interfaith couple (her Muslim and I Jewish). We wanted a religious ceremony in which both families would accept and approve of. Rabbi Broden listened to all our concerns and tailored a ceremony specifically for us. The ceremony was absolutely perfect in every way. Both conservative Muslims and conservative Jewish family members said how much they loved the ceremony. Rabbi Brodens singing voice was amazing and brought tears to our eyes. I highly recommend Rabbi Broden for any wedding in the Tri-State area.
