Beautiful photos, incredible experience

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Jen. We did our engagement photos and wedding photos with her and everything was stunning. She is very charismatic and made this very camera-shy bride and groom so comfortable. She adapts quickly to the environment including a shoot day that was extremely humid and a wedding day that had to be relocated inside rather than outside in the garden. She also works very quickly in getting back your fully edited photo sets so you can get to work on save-the-dates, thank you cards, and enjoy the memories while they are still fresh in your mind. Would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Jennifer is incredible!

I booked my elopement package through Chase Court in July and Jennifer was assigned as our photographer. She was wonderful to work with on our wedding day! Jennifer checked in before the wedding to make sure we had everything we needed as far as photography services, which was a relief. The day of the wedding she got to work immediately and captured every aspect of the wedding ceremony (plus before and after), making sure to capture each moment and family member, and got lots of angles. After the ceremony, she spent a lot of time making certain to get all the group photos we asked for, even including some fun ones and ones that included the beautiful architecture of the venue! She knew the venue well which was a huge help, too. Our group photos felt very fun and natural, there was no awkward staging. Her guidance helped us a lot with how to stand and orient ourselves. Jennifer got so many lovely photos of me and my husband in different areas of the venue, having us just be us. We are so thrilled with our photos and owe that to Jennifer's experience and skill. She made a couple of not-so-photogenic people look great! She sent us full resolution and social media sized digital files which was super helpful as well. Overall Jennifer was AMAZING, we will cherish these photos forever, and we are so grateful we got her as our photographer. THANK YOU, Jennifer!!!

Couldn’t Be Happier

Jennifer photographed my husband and my wedding in July 2023. Not only are we beyond pleased with our photos, but she was also so lovely to work with. She was professional, personable, and very familiar with the industry. She was very organized and easy to communicate with. She kept us informed throughout the wedding planning process. From engagement shoots, to our wedding- she made the photography experience feel natural and flow smoothly. She even took the time to learn both my husband and my family members names before the wedding. Our families still comment on how impressed they are and how personable she was. the BEST wedding photographer!!

Where to begin... Jennifer was the photographer for my husband and my April 2023 wedding. Before that, she was the photographer for my sister's two weddings (one small, intimate ceremony at our parents' house during peak pandemic in 2020, and again at the Baltimore zoo for their 1 year vow renewal ceremony in 2021). The only thing I was 100% certain about when planning my wedding (besides my husband) was that I wanted to hire Jennifer. Not only was she wonderful to work with each time - professional, efficient, organized, and fun - but her work is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I (and our entire family) were thrilled when Jennifer confirmed that she was able to photograph our wedding in Bucks County, PA. Besides the traditional photos, I also asked her specifically to take pictures of our wedding flowers, because I was extremely jealous of the photos she had taken for my sister, and I knew she would capture the bright colors and tiny details.

Well, the day of the wedding came and there was torrential rain for almost the entire 9 hours that Jennifer was with us. This didn’t phase Jennifer one bit - she managed to scope out the best covered spots for posed pictures and still captured all the beautiful flowers and greenery the venue had. She made my husband and me feel comfortable, beautiful, and at ease. Additionally, Jennifer’s documentary-style and candid shots illustrate the joy and love that we felt for each other, as well as the fun that our guests were having… looking at the pictures it seems like she was literally everywhere at once! Her work speaks for itself and is bold, beautiful, and comprehensive. She sent a “preview” of pictures only 2 weeks afterwards, and the entire set two months after. It was an amazingly quick turnaround and the work is more than we could have hoped. I cannot recommend Jennifer’s work enough. Thank you so much Jennifer for capturing our day!!

Better than we even hoped for!

My wife and I both agree Jennifer was the best vendor we worked with during the whole wedding experience. She understood exactly the vibe we wanted with our pictures and gave us an absolute gem of a photo gallery that we still can't take our eyes off six months later. We wanted a very friendly, warm, candid style of photography and Jennifer was able to deliver exactly that. She was the consummate professional during the wedding day itself and was able to direct people in and out of photos with speed and efficiency, and she knew exactly how to get kids to smile nicely. We never noticed her or felt like she was in the way, but she was still able to capture our wedding day in a full and complete form. We would highly, highly recommend to anyone.

Perfection

Jen is an ICON! My sister hired Jen for her wedding in 2016 and I knew we had to scoop her up for ours this past December. Jen was very low key throughout the wedding ceremony and reception, truly a ninja. She had so many great ideas for photo locations around Mt. Vernon as well and the photos came out perfectly. No frills, no filters. She caught so many emotional and fun moments. We are so happy with our wedding photos and can't recommend Jen enough.

Made Our Dream Wedding

We knew Jennifer was the perfect fit for us 5 minutes into our first meeting. She was personable, kind, and enthusiastic. Beautiful wedding photos

Jennifer captured our wedding at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. There was a quick turnaround time to receive all of our wedding photos, and we could not be more in love with them! Each photo perfectly captures the memories we have around the zoo prior to the wedding with the penguins, flamingos, and elephants and of the wedding ceremony itself. Every precious moment of our ceremony was captured. She also took family portraits, which turned out amazing! Jennifer did a great job helping everyone to feel comfortable, which was especially meaningful to us since my husband and in-laws do not usually enjoy having their picture taken. Jennifer took a lot of beautiful candid photos as well. Many of the photos we treasure the most are the ones taken when we did not notice. Jennifer puts in all of the work of capturing the memories being made, allowing everyone else to just enjoy the day!

Camera-Ninja, skillful and nice.

Jennifer took pictures of our wedding back in December 2021, and she was very professional and courteous. I’m very camera shy, and normally hate having pictures of myself but she was very inviting and made the photography experience flow smoothly. For the actual ceremony , she was a literal fly on the wall. Had not noticed her at all, and was amazed at the camera shots she got of us afterwards. Like some camera-ninja. Wonderful, Artistic, Comfortable, Warm, Natural Photographer

We loved working with Jennifer!!!!
She took a very rainy day and made it "work" while also making it special and real. Jennifer felt like "family" and "got us" which I particularly loved. I am not someone that loves posing for the camera and she helped me (all of us) feel comfortable. Jennifer managed to take photos that reflected the power of love in our families and the intimacy of celebrating a precious marriage ceremony at home where we all feel our best, but also feel our most vulnerable. Having met her virtually, and then in person, I couldn't imagine feeling safer with anyone but her. The icing on the cake is that she is a dog lover which to me is the "best" reflection of who you are...warm, kind, interested in connecting, enjoying being a part of "the pack" and a gifted and creative photographer who tells stories through her work. Jennifer is a storyteller of the best kind. So, thank you so much Jennifer for being you and for showing the best and most real representation of "us" as we celebrated Brett and Lucie's love for each other. Jennifer had been super responsive and flexible, always listening to us which is why I had chosen her in the first place. Fantastic experience!!!!

My now-husband and I were fortunate to be able to work with Jennifer for our wedding, and she was truly wonderful. She had such great energy, and got so many fantastic, natural looking shots - an impressive feat on its own, but she was also amazing with our gaggle of high-energy nieces and nephews!! :) When our original photo location plans had to change literally 48 hours before the wedding, she took it all in stride and made lemonade from what could have been lemons - we felt 100% at ease in her hands, and we had a lot of fun to boot!! The best money you'll spend on your wedding

My wife and I have worked with Jennifer for three photo shoots--engagement, wedding, and family--and each experience was exceptional. She is kind, warm, responsive, flexible, and an amazing photographer. After your wedding is over, you're left with memories and photographs, and we could not be happier to have Jennifer's photographs of all the special moments of our wedding day. She captured certain guests getting unexpectedly loose on the dance floor and all of the laughs and smiles my wife and I shared that day. On the day of our family photo shoot, with two kids under 3 years of age, Jennifer spent two hours patiently following us around the park waiting to capture the fleeting moments when nobody was crying. I imagine she's the best wedding photographer in the DMV, but she's somehow even better with young children.

An Excellent Eye for Candids

There are few wedding photographers in the Baltimore area better than Jennifer McMenamin. My wife and I are generally adverse to taking or posing for photos, so we wanted to make sure that the pictures from our wedding would be pristine. Jennifer came at the recommendation of our venue coordinator (the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore). Seeing her work online, we were convinced by how much her work stood out from the other photographers we reviewed.

After my wife and I had to postpone our original summer 2020 large-scale wedding, instead opting for a pandemic-conscious backdoor affair, Jen was the first vendor to respond back, and immediately offered to join us at our more intimate ceremony, even travelling to New Jersey. Before the big day, she ensured that she had the names of all attendees and could accommodate any specifications, making sure to cross any t’s and dot any i’s. The day of the wedding, though she was forced to wear a mask (due to the pandemic), it was clear that she was smiling the entire time. While getting ready, she was ebullient, personable and had an eye for framing candid pictures, equally able both to help ease wedding-day jitters and blend into the background. During the ceremony and reception on a fairly small porch, we did not even notice her despite the limited space.

When we received her work this week, we were absolutely delighted with the photos of our joyous night. We got back an abundance of pictures from each portion of our event. She was accommodating of featuring any personal requests and any family-keepsakes we wanted incorporated. We could not be more excited with her work and are excited to have her back photographing our larger anniversary ceremony next year as well.

Highly Recommend

Jennifer was our photographer for our wedding and I cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us. Jennifer traveled to NJ for our engagement shoot and for our housewarming/wedding shower. She was also present at our rehearsal dinner. One of my husband's family members actually asked if she was family because she was so kind and present at so many family events! So needless to say Jennifer was extremely kind, flexible, and easy to work with. She took the time to get to know us as clients and assured we would capture all photos we wanted. Jennifer eased our nerves in front of the camera. Her pictures are absolutely beautiful and easy to access. My husband and I chose to work with Jennifer after looking at her amazing portfolio and meeting with her early on in our wedding planning. We learned about how flexible she is and how she works with her assitant to get all the amazing shots of the special day. We knew we would work well together and we had all the trust in the world that her talent would produce the memories that would last a lifetime. Our wedding day had expected complications like getting access to the military base where we prepared and Jennifer and her assistant worked well with the security access process. I don't know all about the behind-the-scenes issues she may have encountered but I do know that she may have competed with one family photographer. Thankfully there weren't more! I am so glad to know that this did not effect the final product of her photos. She is definitely a professional and rolls with the punches. Thank you for the memories Jennifer!

We had such a amazing experience working with Jennifer at our engagement session and on our wedding day! Jennifer was an amazing photographer! She was easy to correspond with the entire time, and did a beautiful engagement shoot for us as well as our wedding photographs. I adore Jennifer! She's seriously amazing. We first met her because she was the photographer for my cousin's wedding two years ago. The pictures were phenomenal and my cousin raved about her. FIVE STARS IS TOO LITTLE, JENNIFER GETS 10!
I don't even quite know where to start, but Jennifer was simply AMAZING. From our first session of the engagement photos, right through to midnight on the wedding day, she took such good care of us. And not just me and the groom, but all members of the family too. Tremendous attentional to detail in every way possible. The whole family is simply thrilled with the portfolio. Every photo is just CRYSTAL clear, and she really captured all of the emotions of the wedding day. In fact, other friends comment about how good our photos are and how nicely Jennifer was able to capture everyone so naturally, and at just the right moment. The only hard part is picking out your favorite photos because they ALL came out so well. ALL OF THEM. SERIOUSLY.
In addition to her photos being the best I've ever had (and I've been in a LOT of weddings over the years), her service is simply top notch. She is responsive, kind, happy, upbeat, SO VERY thoughtful, warm and loving -- you can really ask her just about anything and she'll do her best to make it happen. Furthermore, she is extremely compulsive so that all photos are 3x backed up, no detail of the wedding is missed, and everyone comes out looking just perfect. I could NOT be happier with our choice -- and I'm well, VERY picky. My husband and I peruse all the options when faced with decisions, large or small, to ensure the best quality for the price. This meant looking at almost every venue in the city, contacting a multitude of DJs and bands, and I didn’t decide on a wedding dress until I had taken home (and returned) several. But this indecision was absent with Jennifer. I knew from the first email that she was the one who would photograph our wedding day. She is warm yet professional, and she has a keen eye for capturing moments full of love and light. She was flexible, and my husband and I felt at ease in her presence. The correspondence with her throughout the wedding process was timely and kind, and she truly listens to concerns. The day of the wedding, I didn’t even realize she was there most of the time, and when I received the pictures, it was astonishing what she had done. She was everywhere! She is able to steal moments in time, glances, small exchanges between loved ones, a kiss you had forgotten you shared with your spouse. Her artistic eye is creative and unique. The pictures were so beautiful, I immediately had engaged friends interested in hiring her. She writes blog posts for you to see and share with friends and on Facebook, and she even sent us a large framed picture of one of her favorite shots. She’s a talented sweetheart. My husband and I researched and met with a lot of different photographers before we selected one for our wedding, from the moment we met with Jennifer we knew she was the one to go with. She has a lovely blend of professionalism and personal touch that makes you feel like you're not just a paycheck (how we felt some other photographers treated us) but that she absolutely knows what she's doing. Her photography is just beautiful, she always seems to be in the right place at the right time to capture the important moments and without being at all intrusive - a lot of time I didn't realize she was there! Jennifer is such a lovely person to have around, she's very intuitive and had the appropriate response and interaction to each situation whether is was quiet intimate moments or high energy celebration or organizing or large group photos. On the day of my wedding she also kept me on time otherwise I would have arrived at the church late! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jennifer!

Jennifer is both kind and extremely talented. She was easy to work with leading up to the wedding and made me feel totally comfortable on the day of. I planned my Baltimore wedding from Italy, which for obvious reasons made things much more complicated. Jennifer was always quick to respond to my emails and was also willing to call me in Rome and to work around a 6 hour time difference. Before even offering a contract, she talked with me about what I wanted from a wedding photographer and what kind of photos I wanted in order to make sure that she was the right person for the job.

As the day got closer, she helped us make our list of family portraits and was very helpful in picking out spots for our photo shoot. Day of, she was right on time, totally prepared, and absolutely lovely. I didn't believe her when she said that I would get used to the clicks and flashes and wouldn't even notice her, but it was totally true. By the end of the night, I had no idea she where she had been or what she had seen, but WOW did she capture the evening. We got our digital proofs exactly one day shy of 8 weeks after the wedding (fall is particularly busy) and it just totally made my day to look through them! They are beautifully shot and well edited and I can't wait to get the files and to order prints and albums!

One thing I think is really remarkable about Jennifer is that she gives us rights to use her photos however we want so long as its for personal use. That means she's giving us the edited digital files without her logo on them. To me, this is a MAJOR plus.

I would definitely recommend working with Jennifer. She makes the process easy and her work is really absolutely beautiful!

Jennifer McMenamin was recommended to us by my sister (who happens to be an event planner). My sister thought Jennifer's warm personality and relaxed style would work well for our wedding day. She was so right! Jennifer was the perfect photographer for us, and I felt a connection with her the first time we spoke on the phone. When we planned our engagement photo shoot with Jen, she helped us navigate the process of completing the photography permits for the National Park Service in order for us to have the session at the Jefferson Memorial in DC. Our engagement session was fabulous; Jennifer was super creative with our photos, including laying down in the snow to get the perfect light. On the wedding day, Jennifer kept us on schedule while taking amazing pictures. She was unobtrusive during the day's event, and worked well with our family and friends for formal photos. Jennifer captured wonderful candid shots throughout the entire day. The photos truly told the story of our wedding day, and I know we'll enjoy her pictures for years to come!

My husband and I could not be more thrilled with our experience in using Jennifer's services. We first found Jennifer through our venue, AVAM, and reached out exhausted and disappointed after speaking with what must have been dozens of other photographers. We encountered restrictive packages, formal styles, and we weren't confident in others' photographic skill or experience in capturing pictures in lighting that can be somewhat challenging in the AVAM ceremony and reception site. We ended up not doing an engagement session with Jennifer and only spoke over email and phone (as we live in Philadelphia) and met in person shortly before our wedding. Throughout the entire process, she was highly responsive and offered an abundance of her own personal feedback and experience to questions that may have not even related to photography.

When it came down to the images, we were floored. She captured every spontaneous moment, dance party, funny face, and our personalities and that of our friends and family truly shined through. In hindsight, it's hard to even recall seeing Jennifer during our ceremony or reception but she was there and she captured every moment we could have hoped for. We would highly recommend Jennifer!

We absolutely loved working with Jennifer and are thrilled with the photos from our rehearsal dinner and wedding. She is professional, knowledgable, and personable as well as an incredible photographer. We're both kind of camera-shy, but felt so comfortable with Jennifer and were happy to hear that many of our friends and family members felt the same way!

The weather was terrible on our wedding day - nonstop heavy rain - but Jennifer was so positive and calming that we barely thought about it. She was flexible with the changes we had to make to our itinerary and had great ideas for making the most of the weather for our photos. When the rain finally stopped (for about 20 minutes), she took full advantage of the opportunity to take some incredible pictures outdoors. We are so happy with how everything turned out! We highly recommend working with Jennifer - she's amazing!

Jennifer is one of the most passionate, loving, down to earth, creative, and talented people and photographers. Her dedication to her clients is like none other as she intently listens to every detail that the couple would like to have captured during their engagement sessions and wedding day. She makes you feel as though you are her sole focus and client which is remarkable and hard to come by. I loved the way Jennifer was laughing and enjoying herself throughout our big day. It made my heart light up as I wanted everyone to feel included and the love my now husband and I were reflecting. Jennifer is awesome. We had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer and seeing her in action at my best friend's wedding, about a year prior to our wedding. We enjoyed her company, and watching her work. We got in touch with her shortly after and were lucky enough to be able to schedule her to be part of our wedding.
She is and does an amazing job; on top of being an extraordinary photographer and beyond professional, Jennifer is so warm and sincere. She feels the emotions of the day right along with you, which gives you comfort that she is capturing the right moments, the ones you would if you were holding the camera.

Jennifer did an amazing and WONDERFUL job photographing my daughter's wedding. I have so enjoyed looking through each and every one of the 800+ photos she took and reliving all the great memories! We definitely had our challenges the week of the wedding with riots, National Guard, curfews and protests in Baltimore but from the photos she took it looks like the most idyllic and picturesque setting. Of course, the ones with the National Guard will always evoke some special memories. She definitely captured all the special moments of the wedding! She was so pleasant to work with and so unobtrusive we barely knew she was there. She was extremely professional, highly talented, very responsive and got to know each and every family member and member of the wedding party. It is so hard to select just a few of her photos to show my friends as I want to show them every single one as I love them all! And I absolutely LOVED her blog! It was so personal and sweet and really captured the essence of the wedding. I can't believe she can even find the time to do that! Her use of light is amazing and the emotions and expressions she captures is priceless. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants beautiful memories captured through photographs.

I was an obsessive researcher bride (I swear, I enjoyed doing it. Like a scavenger hunt!) I looked through 40-50 photographer’s websites and didn’t love anything I saw. They were either too trendy, too cute, too posed, and seemed distant and cold.

Then I found Jennifer’s website. It immediately radiated warmth, and that is exactly what Jennifer is. Working with Jennifer as our photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. Not only is she insanely talented, but she is unfailingly kind and professional—which is important because the photographer is part of the family at the wedding! I’m so thrilled she was there on one of the most emotional days of my life. I felt so comfortable having her there to capture every moment.

Jennifer is exceedingly professional, quick to reply to the nuttiest of emails (and we all send those), beyond knowledgeable about the shots to get and how to time the day, and she chases good light around like a fiend. She also knows all of the vendors in the area and had great non-photography advice for us while we were planning.

Please spend some time with her blog on her website, and you will see the same gorgeous, natural work no matter what kind of wedding. Having Jennifer as our photographer was a marvelous experience.

To understand why you should hire Jen to be your wedding photographer, you first need to understand the roots of the word "photograph". "Photo" means light, and "graph" means to write, so a photographer writes with light.

That is true of course in a literal sense. Light bounces off objects onto a camera sensor and is recorded producing a photograph. There are many skilled photographers who know how to record light and thus capture a photograph.

What Jen brings to the equation is her skills as a journalist. Trained as a journalist and a former reporter for the Baltimore Sun, Jen does not just take beautiful photographs of your wedding. She writes the story of your wedding with light.

Working with Jen was an absolute delight and we could not be more thrilled with our wedding photos.

In just a few short conversations, using her skills as a former journalist, Jen was able to discern how we saw her role in our wedding day. Jen asked for a shot list in the weeks before the wedding and she did a great job getting those pictures. A few of the shots I requested were to take place during the preparation phase, before the ceremony, and when it got a little hectic and I wanted to say, "No, that one doesn't matter, we can skip it!" Jen was a calming presence, reminding me we had plenty of time. I'm so glad she took the time to find out what was important to us before the craziness of the day set in.

Jen was always professional, but also always fun! Her approach is to let the couple enjoy themselves, not be consumed by photo shoots, and that was such a relief on the day of the wedding. It's amazing how, looking at the collection of photos, it seems like she was omnipresent, but she was never dragging us away from the party!

I, like most brides in this age of social media, saw a LOT of wedding photos in the months leading up to our wedding. This means I can accurately say: Jen's work is truly exceptional. On our rainy, foggy wedding day, she found light that no normal person could ever see. She also used the fog to frame us in some fairy tale-like settings!

Our photos are absolutely beautiful. Jen captured the all the joy of the day and all the little details we worked so hard on but, of course, didn't notice during the whirlwind of the reception.

I HIGHLY recommend using Jen for your wedding day photography. The result will be LOTS of smiles, looking back on an amazing version of your special day through the eyes of a truly talented professional.

Where do I begin.....we had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer when she photographed our daughters wedding. The first time I read her blog from my daughters weddiing I cried!! I was right back in the emotions of her wedding day!!! It was so difficult to choose because all of the pictures were so wonderful.
When we became engaged my daughter and son in law gave us the gift of Jennifer's magic to share our wedding day. Jennifer and her work are amazing!!! You don't even know she is there and yet when you see the moments she captured in the photographs you just smile!! The feeling and emotion she captures in all of her photographs makes you feel as though you are right back in the moment!!! Our wedding had a bit of a glitch......which caused the ceremony to be delayed. Jennifer was wonderful throughout our little issue. She jumped right in helping us find a solution. And in spite of the delay she made us feel as though we were her only priority for the evening!!!! And again I cried when I read her blog about our wedding!! The pictures of us with all our family and friends are absolutely wonderful. We are having quite a tough time choosing because we want them all!!

As I explained to Jennifer, it is hard to put into words how her photo portrayal of our day made us feel - we are just completely blown away. Receiving our photos was like getting to relive the emotions of that day, and then some more. What makes Jennifer's work so special is that she captures those things that matter most during a wedding (the way we felt and those that were there to experience it with us!) - and she does it without you knowing she's there (SO INOBTRUSIVE!!!). She of course snapped photos of the "musts" - family photos, bridal party, but did so very quickly and painlessly so that she could move on to the photos that we truly wanted - candid photos of the people we love all in the same place at the same time.

Leading up to the wedding, I could write a separate review for my interaction with Jennifer alone. She is just so knowledgeable and PROFESSIONAL and WARM and easy and perfect! I immediately was able to trust her - this in itself was invaluable.

Jennifer was one of the best things that happened to me during my almost 2 years of wedding planning. She wasn't my first photographer appointment but she most certainly would be my LAST. Jen has the warmest most sincere heart, and that is something that you can see and feel in all of her photos. Her work speaks for itself, but she does so much more than take your picture. She was the soft, calm voice that every bride NEEDS. I can never begin to thank her enough for her phone conversations, which I don't think she ever realized, but would bring me from my panic to feel such peace. The day of, her smiles, and laughter filled the room, and she fit in so well with our families and friends. Just some comments from friends and family and even people I haven't spoken to in years said that our pictures are "the most beautiful wedding pictures they have ever seen." Everything about hiring Jennifer McMenamin for our wedding day was perfect. I used the categories below to write our review:

Quality of Service: The photos speak for themselves, and they are quite amazing. Jennifer's photos capture emotion, love, and excitement. They are not posed and stiff. Not only are my husband and I able to relive our wedding day as we look through her pictures, but Jennifer's ingenious eye captured moments that we would never have noticed otherwise. It should be noted that her assistant Sam is also her assistant genius. The two work very well together as a team. The blog post that she wrote about our wedding day told a beautiful story from the photographer's eye and was very touching. Seriously, her photos are nothing short of breathtaking.

Responsiveness and Professionalism: Jennifer responded to all of my emails quickly and professionally. She and Sam were very friendly and unobtrusive throughout our wedding day. She had a way of directing the photo shoots without seeming bossy, and she accomplished her job extremely well while remaining behind the scenes. Both sets of parents absolutely loved her.

Value: Although you may find photographers who offer cheaper wedding day packages, Jennifer is worth every penny that you spend. Paying just a little extra for the best photographer in the wedding business is worth it to me.

Flexibility- Jennifer was extremely flexible throughout our entire wedding planning process. Because I was planning my wedding from out of the country, I was unable to ever meet Jennifer in person before our wedding day. However, this did not prevent Jennifer from taking us on as clients and loving us all the same!

The one thing I warned everyone involved with my wedding of was that I would go bridezilla over my photography. I didn't care about the band, the food, nothing. My photographer was going to tell the story of my wedding day so that we and our family and friends could remember this day with a serious WOW Factor. I was looking for a photojournalistic style, and a photographer that wouldn't waste half the day taking directed family photos. After looking at her gallery and meeting with Jennifer we'd found our photographer.
We had our engagement photos taken with her and they were fun and experimental and UNIQUE.
We couldn't have been happier with the wedding day shots as her professional excellence continued. My husband makes a lot of faces and she wasn't afraid to catch his silly side and was subtle enough to catch him looking normal as well. I love my nieces and nephews and all of them and their childhood greatness was captured with me on this special day.
We even received our photos while we were on our honeymoon (coincidence) which made that all the more special.
In short, Jennifer was wonderful. What I wanted, I got, and I didn't have to go bridezilla on anyone! My wedding coordinator, who'd never worked with her before my wedding, has added her to her list of recommended photographers to her clients. She was great to work with and will go to great lengths to get great shots and tell your story.

Jennifer was absolutely wonderful to work with you. We found her through a vendor's list provided by our wedding planner. After reviewing her website, we knew we had to speak to her. She is incredibly talented. She captured such joy and emotion in every photo! After speaking with her we booked her immediately.

She is kind, warm and compassionate. She truly enjoys what she does and it shows. We did all of our posed family and wedding photos prior to the ceremony so we could enjoy the full party. She got some amazing shots. We were so impressed that she learned the names of all of our family members and the wedding party so she addressed each one by name. We were also impressed that she was able to almost disappear during the ceremony and reception. She was there but never obvious and never in the way.

Jennifer's photos captured exactly what we wanted - our friends and family celebrating a joyful, emotional occasion. I can't tell you how many comments we have received from our friends on the photos. They've been gushing! And we get emotional every time we look at them.

One of the other great surprises was that Jennifer's blog included some beautifully written commentary on the wedding including how we met! We were certainly not expecting that and it's been fun to revisit many times. We wouldn't hesitate to use Jennifer again.

I am so very honored to have worked with Jennifer McMenamin during the planning and performance of our wedding. She came very highly recommended by another same gender loving couple. I can't say enough wonderful things about working with Jennifer--and I cannot even begin to count how many compliments I have gotten on my wedding photos. Everyone says the same thing, "I wish I had had your photographer."

Jennifer is everything I wanted in a photographer: incredibly professional, responsive and reliable, yet warm, personable, friendly, and polite. I am a very shy person, but immediately, I felt completely at ease with her.

In my hunt for a wedding photographer, I searched exhaustively for someone who offered high quality, unique photos that captured the range of emotions and activities on the big day. I continued to go back and admire Jennifer's photo albums, and after a phone chat with her, I knew she was the person to capture our special day. Leading up to the big day, Jennifer was highly responsive and professional in her communications. When we met for the first time in person on my wedding day, I was so excited to see that she was as warm and friendly as she came across in our first phone chat and email exchanges. Jennifer could recite the names of our bridal party members and family members after a few short minutes with us. She and her assistant were experts in orchestrating the photo shoots before the wedding, and during the wedding ceremony and reception, we didn't even know they were there. We loved Jennifer! We are so pleased with the turnout of our wedding photos. She produced some amazing shots, too many to choose any one to frame! Her team was professional and knew when to take charge, we even had her take a group photo of about 40 family members (all ages) and she did it with ease.

We also had an engagement photo session that was easy and fun. She sought out a couple of different spots in the area that we would have never thought of. We wanted to use them for our shower thank you's and brunch invitations and she was quick to respond with one or two photos to choose from. Our engagement photos were in the city and the wedding was in the country, this posed to problem for Jennifer as both sessions turned out beautifully. Posing for photos can definitely take it out of you and she had no problem with taking breaks or letting us relax a little.

The compliments from friends and family are endless when looking through our wedding and engagement photos. We couldn't have picked a better photographer.

I was planning my Baltimore wedding from California, in under 6 months, and I (understandably) felt a little pressured when selecting my vendors. However, after viewing all of the reviews and personal sites for the recommended photographers provided by our reception site, Jennifer was our top choice. With other photographers, we felt like a lot of the photos were overly staged/artsy, and Jennifer's work was a breath of fresh air. She really seemed to capture the event as it played out, with fantastic lighting and the ability to make everyone look great - all without making it feel forced. Luckily for us, she was available, and from our first emails (my preferred method of communication given the time difference), Jennifer was responsive, professional, and warm. I felt like I was talking to someone who really cared about capturing the event how we wanted it captured. She asked all the right questions, including asking for special directions for working with my divorced parents and relatives that don't speak English.

During a trip to Baltimore to meet my vendors, Jennifer welcomed us into her lovely office with all the warmth that I had felt in her emails, and a bright smile. She gave me ample time to describe my thoughts for the day (some of which were not yet fully formed), answered all of my questions with ease, and then laid out a plan that took into account everything I had said and filled in a lot of the gaps.

On our wedding day, she showed up on time with Lucas, her assistant, and they were the picture of friendly professionalism. While photographing the wedding party, she easily directed everyone, including some surprisingly bossy individuals. She got us back on schedule after falling behind early on due to makeup running a little late. For the ceremony and reception, I hardly knew she was there, and yet she captured EVERYTHING. Going through our finished photos a month later was like reliving the day - wonderful! I cannot recommend her enough!

Jennifer is very professional, accommodating of all our photo requests, and most importantly takes gorgeous photos. After comparing her portfolio to those of many other photographers (and vendors), none of the competition stood up. We were especially impressed by the compositions she creates and her use of light from her assistant who carries a flash umbrella that made her photos stand apart from the crowd. Many vendors offer "photojournalistic style photos," but many of theirs actually seem "flat" or "magazine-like" in comparison Jennifer's. Although her prices were higher than the other vendors', her photos were also much better. Jennifer was a joy to work with and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Jennifer was one of our favorite parts of the wedding planning process. Her work spoke for itself on her website and blog, but we were even more impressed after our first meeting with her. She is incredibly passionate about her work, and it was obvious in every single one of the photos she took at our wedding. She turned a stressful morning of wedding prep back into the gloriously happy day I wanted it to be from the start! She is a consummate professional, has a permanent smile, and worked hard to blend her expertise with our vision. Jennifer was practically a photography ninja - we never saw her during the ceremony, but she captured every single moment. She also managed to capture the excitement of the dance floor without interfering with or disrupting any of the intense dance moves, the way so many wedding photographers seem to do. Jennifer was an integral part in our wedding running so smoothly, and we couldn't imagine that it would've been the same without her! Do yourself a favor and book her when you get the chance!

Start to finish, our experience with Jennifer could not have been better. She was so personable on the phone, and didn't seem at all put off that we lived in Ohio and would not be able to meet with her before the wedding day. She had a great feel for what we wanted captured on the big day, and caught so many moments that I missed during the reception. And to top it all off, the photos were ready ahead of schedule!

Jennifer worked with my husband and I for both our engagement session and for our wedding day. Words cannot describe how happy I am with the decision that we made to have Jennifer for our big day. Getting to meet her beforehand during our engagment session helped ease nerves about having somebody take pictures of us. What was most important to me on our wedding day was that my pictures told a story about the day - that if I looked back on these pictures I would be able to remember what happened throughout the night. Also important to me was capturing those little moments - the first look, the tears, and the range of emotions throughout the night... and pictures that I had no idea she was even there for. We joke now that Jennifer and her assistant were like ninjas throughout the night - never intrusive throughout the nights' events but seemingly always there capturing the moment. I would highly recommend Jennifer, and I look foward to calling on her for all of our future life events!

Jennifer is amazing. When we first met with her, we were immediately comfortable and drawn to her warm personality and her love for her work. Not to mention her photos were amazing! My husband isn’t big on taking pictures and used to it like I am, but during our engagement session Jennifer made us both really comfortable and produced gorgeous shots. And she was willing to travel to DC from Baltimore so that we could take photos in the park where we met. We knew we made the right choice!
She captured our wedding day just wonderfully! She uses an assistant but she is really the primary photographer. And I guarantee you she takes better photos than most photographers do who use two for weddings. She even surprised us with a beautiful and thoughtful gift after the wedding! It's clear that she loves what she does, as she should, because she's a wonderful photographer.
Her services were one of our larger expenses, but it was SO worth it, as our wedding day was the best day of our lives and we’re so happy to have such beautiful photos to look back on.

Jennifer was amazing. Out of all our vendors on an amazing team, she the most pleasant to work with. Very prompt, thorough and thoughtful. Loves what she does and is passionate about it. Our engagement shoot was a dreary overcast day and she produced beautiful pictures nevertheless. Couldn't even tell it was threatening to rain! For the wedding, she spent an entire day scoping out Annapolis and the side roads en route to the venue on the Eastern Shore. Found some incredible and diverse venues for pics with us and the wedding party. The day went flawlessly. She was on top of everything and kept us moving right along and ahead of schedule. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to finish all our pics before the ceremony and have time for our cocktail hour! Pics came back beautiful and are an immense treasure to have.

You only have one shot to get the pictures right, and the photographer makes or breaks it. We were so fortunate to have Jennifer. She takes that responsibility very seriously and it shows. You can NOT go wrong with Jennifer. She is highly sought after so seek her out early!

We loved working with Jennifer and her assistant Lucas during our wedding. Jennifer did a wonderful job of capturing our wedding day and all of the little details during it. We have so many gorgeous pictures of the day and looking through them really enables us to relive the day. Jennifer was very easy to work with before and during the wedding and was always prompt in responding to any questions. She got our pictures back to us in just a little over a month after the wedding...which was very speedy and ahead of the time frame that she promised to get them to us. We highly recommend using Jennifer as a photographer for any event.

Working with Jennifer was an absolute delight! It was such a luxury knowing that on the day of my wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing. She knew all of the details of the big day, including any specific shots I wanted to make sure she got, and worked with the other vendors so that she was 100% ready for the big day.

Nothing about Jennifer's photography is forced or cheesy - her style is about capturing moments organically and completely in each photo. Somehow she is able to get these beautiful, raw photographs without interfering in these moments. The photo albums that she puts together perfectly strings everything together. I would recommend Jennifer to anyone!!

My husband and I chose Jennifer for our engagement and wedding photos. She was absolutely wonderful to work with from the very start, very flexible and accommodating to our busy schedules. She clearly understands how to incorporate an artistic perspective into both portraits and wedding pictures, which we truly appreciated. Our engagement pictures were so beautiful, and showed our personalities as well as the beauty of Baltimore and its architecture. On our wedding day she was a comforting presence, as she knew our venue and coordinator, allowing her to clue me in to how things were typically handled if I wasn't sure. She went out of her way to handle things that probably weren't her job, like making sure the boutonnieres made it to the groomsmen on time. She thought about unique places in and around our venue to take pictures, and made sure she and I touched base before the end of the evening to make sure all of the shots we wanted were taken before she left. In addition to her clear skill and care when capturing wedding photos, Jen is just a kind, fun person to work with. She obviously loves being a part of the most special day of people's lives, and tries hard to do everything she can to make it an incredible day. She posted our engagement pictures on her blog the day of our wedding, something I happened to see on my way to the venue - it was such a special way to let us know she was thinking of us and just as excited about the day as we were. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone that wants a photographer that is not a typical wedding photographer, but wants really unique, individualized pictures for their day. She's absolutely fantastic!

We knew Jennifer from church and always loved her photos but had no idea when we booked her, just how incredible her work was. She is flexible, hard working, and manages to capture the most incredible shots throughout the day, without even being noticed. She is a lovely person to work with, and incredibly responsive. I have heard from several of our guests that the photos were some of the best they have seen. We would absolutely encourage anyone in Baltimore looking for a photographer to work with Jennifer (if you can get her!)

Not only is Jen one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, but she is a ridiculously talented photographer! We hired her for both an engagement session, and our March 24th, 2012 wedding. We had rain and humidity for both days and Jen still managed to take gorgeous photos that we will cherish forever. She captured the feeling of our wedding day to a tee - I've never had so much fun on one day in my life, and she documented it perfectly through her camera. She is so good at what she does and she is not intrusive or makes you feel like she is in your face. She can capture a moment perfectly. The value for the product she provides is phenomenal. I can't say enough wonderful things about Jen - I am going to miss working with her and I hope that we can contract her again in the future!

I had the most wonderful experience working with Jennifer McMenamin and would highly recommend her to anyone! Jennifer was recommended to me by a friend and, after reviewing sample pictures at her website and talking to her on the phone, I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding. I have a BFA in photography, so it was especially important to me to find the right photographer for my wedding day and Jennifer more than succeeded. Although I live in Seattle and my wedding was in Baltimore (where Jennifer is based), Jennifer made the planning process very smooth. We communicated mostly by email, which was ideal for me, and she was always prompt to respond.

My experience working with Jennifer on the day of my wedding was smooth as can be. Both my husband and I felt extremely comfortable with Jennifer behind the camera. Jennifer has such an easy going personality, which helped make our photography experience relaxing and enjoyable rather than stressful. I was also very pleased that we decided to take our pictures before the ceremony which allowed us to have plenty of time to get pictures done without feeling rushed to get to the reception (I would definitely recommend this to everyone!). And since we were going to see each other before the ceremony, Jennifer helped to make our seeing-each-other-for-the-first-time moment extra special (friends and family had to stay inside so it could be a private moment for us). Plus, seeing each other before helped to calm our nerves at the start of the ceremony. Neither my husband or I are into the typical, corny wedding photos and Jennifer did a perfect job at giving us what we wanted. Jennifer would give us subtle directions for poses, but for the most part the poses really were pretty natural. Honestly, I was so happy that I have a big grin in all the photos! My husband has been in several friends' weddings and he has told me numerous times how much more positive his experience with Jennifer was compared to all those other photographers. He has seen it all, from pushy photographers to ridiculous poses, and I am so glad Jennifer gave us no worries on our own special day. Jennifer also did a wonderful job of moving seamlessly through the ceremony and reception. I barely noticed her during the ceremony and reception, but yet she was there to capture all of the special moments plus more.

I was also pleased with the items included in Jennifer's photography package and thought the price was a good value for the quality of work and professionalism you receive. Soon after the wedding, Jennifer had a super-cute posting of our wedding on her wedding blog to tide us over until all the images were ready. It included a snapshot of photos and a little description of the day. A few more weeks later we received 850 images in JPEG format on 2 DVDs and a DVD containing a slideshow of select still images. Additionally, the images were posted at her website so that guests could purchase any photos they were interested in. I was very happy with the fact that the package included our own copies of the images that we can print as many times as we want without having to go through the photographer. Now, 1.5 years later, I am finally getting Jennifer to make me a photo album; better late than never, right?

Jennifer is a great photographer period. My sister is a photographer and so are a few of my friends -naturally my expectations were high. Jennifer not only delivered great photos, but she was really helpful on the wedding day as well. There are certain things you forget about during wedding planning and Jennifer's experience was really helpful. I had no idea how to place 15 bridesmaids/groomsmen together but she took the most amazing non-posed photos-ones you can't plan. She even showed me how to cut the cake impromptu. Both my brother and sister are using her this year for their weddings.

We had a wonderful experience with Jennifer McMenamin Photography. From our first meeting, she was thorough and managed to provide us with a fabulous package for our wedding day.

I knew we would work with Jen from our first glimpse of her portfolio. The photos told stories that filled me with emotions as if I knew all of her subjects. When we received the photos from our wedding, I was overwhelmed by the emotions she captured. It was like we were reliving the day all over again.

She delivered the pictures within three months of our wedding and gave a glimpse of the photos via a blog post that was online within two weeks.

We provided her with a list of the type of photos we would like captured, and she met all of our expectations. The day of the wedding, she blended in with guests and didn't distract. She even through in a few personal touches that really made the package perfect.

One tip, I would recommend giving a complete list of anyone you would like photographed, that includes family. Tell her about special relationships and key moments. We did this, and couldn't be happier about how she captured those moments. You don't get a second chance when it comes to photography, and we're so glad we went with Jen.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience with Jennifer McMenamin Photography. She took the time to sit down with us to find out what was most important to be photographed on the big day and she came through with everything we asked for and more. Each picture was stunning and she was really creative with different shots and poses for us. I hardly remember seeing her at the reception, yet there are pictures of every event. She captured emotional moments between family members and the fun of celebrating. I would highly recommend Jennifer! We are now expecting a baby and plan to work with her for maternity and newborn photos!

I found out about Jennifer McMenamin Photography from a friend. She raved about her photographer and I was actually in my friend's wedding so I got to see Jennifer in action. She was wonderful. She got great shots yet she wasn't intrusive. When I got engaged, I checked into a few photographers which included Jennifer (I love photography so I was going to be picky). She was the most attentive and professional out of all of the ones I researched and met with, etc. I specifically noticed she was more organized and clear about her services & contract, etc. I also noticed that she was extremely good about following up and thanked me for the opportunity to share her services with me. Along with that I feel her pricing is reasonable for what you are getting within the chosen package. I asked her a huge list of questions (that the bridal magazines said to ask a photographer) and I just loved how quickly and thoroughly she answered my questions. I just had a really good feeling and felt she was the right photographer for our wedding! When we met with her for our engagement shots she made us feel so comfortable. We thought it would be weird or awkward but she did a great job at making it feel very natural, casual, and like it was just me and my husband there! Preparing for the wedding day, Jennifer was very attentive and an excellent listener as far as our requests - the shots that were most important to us, the people who we wanted photographed the most, if we wanted more candid as opposed to posed, etc. As long as you are specific on exactly what you want regarding your style of shots, etc. Jennifer will make it happen! She executed all of those requests perfectly. I have highly recommended Jennifer to others. I recommended her to one of my friends who got engaged (her venue also highly recommended Jennifer McMenamin) and she checked into Jennifer but she was already booked for that date! I already plan to have Jennifer do some portraits with my whole family in the near future; and down the road when my husband and I plan to have our own family, we already told her she will be a part of capturing those precious memories! If you want a photographer who is attentive, personable, and listens to what you want on your special day, pick Jennifer McMenamin!

Jennifer is a wonderful photographer and was an absolute joy to work with. I first came across her photography during my cousin's wedding and fell in love with her photography style. We hired Jennifer to photograph our wedding on October 29, 2011, and can happily say that this was one of the best decisions we made. Jennifer was absolutely wonderful in every way. She is hard-working, professional, extremely dedicated, patient, and very comfortable and fun to be around. What really stands out to us was Jennifer's effort to make sure that we got the shots we wanted in very difficult conditions-- our wedding was during a "historic" and early winter storm, but as soon as the sleet stopped and the clouds parted she took us outside to get some fantastic nighttime photos. Not only do we expect those pictures to be great, but we had a ball running around downtown Baltimore. All in all, we cannot recommend Jennifer (and her assistant, Lucas) more highly and we look forward to working with her in the future!

When I read about choosing vendors I thought the "connection" everyone talked about was ridiculous but as soon as I met Jennifer I knew she had to be the photographer at our wedding. She's nurturing and calm at a time when you are feeling extremely overwhelmed and most importantly, her pictures are gorgeous! She knew so much about our venue and the Baltimore area which was incredibly helpful. She responded to emails or phone calls very quickly and sent us and even my parents a very thoughtful note after the wedding. I think the best part is her style--you never really know she's there but she takes the important shots that you'll treasure for a lifetime.

We called Jennifer in March 2011 for our June 2011 wedding and lucky us our wedding weekend was the only weekend she was available!In looking for photographers, I browsed many websites but adored Jennifer's pictures the most. She and her assistant were a pleasure to work with and were able to handle, with ease, all of the specific photo requests we made. When we watched our slideshow I actually began to tear up because each photo captured so much emotion! I never knew it was possible to take so many pictures in one night and her professionalism and amazing eye gave us so many photos to choose from. I truly could not have been happier! Working with Jennifer and her team was a complete joy. She took almost two hours to meet with me at the venue ahead of time, not just to scout photo locations, but to get to know me and my fiancé personally. The time spent that day was invaluable, as the photographs reflect our personalities to a tee.

She incorporated our photo ideas into the wedding day, including an homage to our favorite TV show (without thinking it was weird). She also emailed details and information back and forth promptly, which was reassuring while juggling all the details of the wedding. I felt comfortable asking for exactly what I wanted without feeling like I was bothering her or being a nuisance.

We also had an uncomfortable divorce in the family and step parents to manage, and Jennifer took care to know the whole family by name so as to keep the day running smoothly. I've known of photographers to say something like, "Okay, let's get mom and dad with the groom," which would have made for an awkward moment. Instead, Jennifer and her assistant took the time to learn names so no one would be offended.

After much research, we found Jennifer's fees to be market standard for the number of photos and her time with us on our wedding day. However, the value far surpassed our expectations. We get compliments weekly, even some from strangers that happened upon our website, about how beautiful our wedding photographs turned out. We expect compliments for generations to come.

Jennifer's sense of playfulness is contagious, and on the wedding day, her professional presence alone made me smile. My husband and I are proud to say that Jennifer McMenamin Photography will be there to document all of our future family milestones. In fact, we are expecting our first child this fall and are anxiously looking forward to working with Jennifer again. We know her work will perfectly capture precious moments of our new family.

Jennifer's website really captures her imagination at work. But it was meeting her that captured our hearts and we knew instantly that she was the one for us. What impressed us the most was that she genuinely listened and cared. Her spirit was inviting and her humor was relaxing. She wanted to hear our love story (every little detail), she took the time to get to know us and developed a trusting relationship, she made us feel comfortable (even though we may have been a little cheesey!), she answered endless questions with patience and professionally guided us through the process. I vividly remember driving up to the church on our wedding day and feeling so anxious because I couldn't comprehend in that moment how everything was going to happen and get done. As soon as the car stopped, she appeared at the window like an angel and I was overcome with calmness. Needless to say, the day went perfect with her gently guidance and through the moments she captured in our photos we were able to "attend" our own wedding and that was priceless.

Jennifer was recommended to us through a friend. We met with her & only her! We felt instantly comfortable with Jennifer & she understood exactly what we wanted from our wedding pictures. She's so professional & talented! We have so many beautiful shots of family & friends from the event, it makes it hard to select which ones to print! Jennifer is a true professional with experience. We hardly knew she was there. We just went about our day, which was oh so busy, and she managed to catch every detail without noticeably taking us away from our guests. She made everything so easy. We just received our coffee table book, and it is a beautiful reminder of a very happy day with all of our family. We would recommend her highly to all of her family and would have her again if the occasion arose. She also does children and portraits. We would love to have her do our grandchildren one day. She is worth the money!

Two words - perfectly fabulous! And that's just from my husband! We knew we wanted professional photos with a photojournalism touch and we also wanted to work with someone who "got" us. Jen did. I found out about Jen through a friend. Don't let the low number of reviews here dissuade you; she is a professional and you will love her pictures and the job she does! We interviewed Jen with a number of photographers and loved the work she shared and her approach. She did a walk-through of the venue with us prior to our wedding to look out for great photo ops ans took time to understand our combined religious service so she could shoot the moments as they happened. I (Bride) filled her in on a few surprises for the wedding to the Groom; she kept the secrets and did a wonderful job capturing them all. She handled our large bridal party with ease and took care with our little ones in the group. Some of the spontaneous flower girl moments are sooo precious! We just got married 10 days ago so we haven't seen our music DVD yet (can't wait), but her blog of our wedding kicked... well, you know. We are already blown away. We've already made the decision that Jen will be our family photographer in our years to come. Can't recommend her enough!

Jennifer McMenamin is fantastic. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with her on our wedding day. Jennifer’s attention to detail and her artistic eye show in each picture. The small details she captured of our day just blow me away; flipping through the photos she took allows me to relive our wedding down to every detail. Jennifer McMenamin was the perfect wedding photographer for us. We wanted a lot of candid shots and we wanted to take photos at meaningful spots around Baltimore, rather than solely posed shots. Jennifer was completely on board and also recommended spots we hadn't thought of that worked out perfectly. In addition to showing outstanding professionalism, Jennifer is a joy to work with, which is especially important on such a stressful day.

Rather than a traditional album, we decided to get a DVD of photos set to music, and are completely satisfied with the final product. We cannot recommend her more enthusiastically.

I could not have asked for more from a wedding photographer!

Jennifer was such a pleasure to work with leading up to my wedding. She was very organized and thought of all the details around timing, what shots were important to me and who she should make sure to get pictures of.

On the day of my wedding Jennifer made me feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, which translated into beautiful pictures. She was able to direct a large wedding party through formal shots so that we got all of the formals I wanted, but got through them quickly.

Although I loved all the pictures she took, my favorites came from the time she spent with just my husband and I before we went into the reception. She was able to capture in these pictures all of the love and happiness my husband and I were feeling that day as well as the beauty of the location we were in. She is truly an artist!

Overall, Jennifer captured my entire wedding day so beautifully. I had so many stunning pitures to choose from that it was difficult to pick my favorites for the album. I would highly recommend Jennifer to any future bride.

Jennifer was awesome! She came recommended to us from a friend and she was just so terrific. We live in Towson, but got married in Philly and she travelled to our wedding. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and during the wedding day you hardly even know she is there. I was shocked at how many beautiful pictures she captured. My favorite part of her package is the DVD set to music. I have a brother who got married around the same time as us and he and his wife (who used another local photographer) are so jealous of our pictures and DVD. You will not be disappointed!

We were looking for a photojournalism style and someone we could get along well with since we wanted the photography to be natural and fun. Jennifer was a home run hire. She was professional and flexible with us as we debated where to do engagement photos, and, more importantly, she made us laugh and smile. Not to mention she was willing to get dirty climbing through marshy terrain to get the best shots. When it came to the wedding, we were excited to work with her again, and she did not disappoint. We got gorgeous photos outside the church and reception venue, and during the reception she and her second shooter captured all the best moments with us hardly knowing she was there unless she was checking in. We will highly recommend her to all our friends.

Working with Jennifer is a brides dream!! She is so easy to work with, always communicates quickly, and most importantly takes beautiful pictures. When we first met Jennifer we knew she was the perfect photographer for us, she is warm, very sweet, and isn’t pushy to sell. We wanted engagement pictures, but the day we picked to take them was so hot and humid. Jennifer made the photo shoot fun, the pictures turned out beautifully and we were so happy with the result. Before the wedding, Jennifer would check in periodically and communicate with us about our likes and preferences for the day. On our wedding day Jennifer was on time (actually she was early), always professional, very organized, and so easy to work with. She had memorized the names of all my family members and rounded them up for quick and stunning pictures during our cocktail hour, which was very impressive. She captured all the moments of our wedding and more. We love looking at our wedding pictures and have received so many wonderful comments about her work.

You will not regret choosing Jennifer as your photographer for any event!

We really enjoyed working with Jennifer and her assistant Lucas. On the day of, they did a good job of getting a lot of the "procedural" shots (wedding party, groom's family, bride's family, etc.) out of the way quickly, and the rest of the time made themselves very scarce. Not that they weren't taking tons of pictures, just that you didn't notice them while they were doing it. One of our guests called Lucas a ninja.

The pictures themselves were great, too. Lots of candid shots, which we wanted, but Jennifer and Lucas also accommodated some requests for big group photos. Jennifer's work tends to be more "artistic documentarian" than a lot of the other photographers we were looking at, but without the "look at this amazing photo I took!" feel that we saw in some of the more artsy portfolios. She took really great photos FOR us and not just OF us, where many photographers take plain-ish photos of their subject or artistic photos for themselves.

I took a smidge off the value rating because she was far from the least expensive of the photographers we had looked at, but she does put in a lot of time and effort after the fact touching up, editing, etc. to make sure that every photo you get from her is a keeper, and it shows. You will get what you pay for, just expect to pay more than you might expect.

Jennifer took beautiful photographs at an extremely reasonable price. The result were gorgeous, documentary-like snapshots -- from close-ups to panoramas. We have recommended her to many friends, and they have had an equally glowing view.

Jennifer was fantastic to work with and took incredibly beautiful shots! She was open to meeting a couple times before the actual day to come up with a game plan and was very flexible the day of when plans had to be changed (due to weather). She was by far our sweetest vendor to work with!
I highly recommend Jennifer!! The DVD that she puts to music is so special, I tear up every time we watch it!!

I cancelled my wedding 9 months in advance. The photographer would only communicate through email with me. She kept a $1000 dollars of the money I had paid out. No engagement photos were taken. She has also done weddings for two of my other family members, so I expected some consideration considering this and the fact that she had nine months notice in which to rebook. I am very disappointed and would not recommend her services.
