Jen is the best!

We could not be happier that we hired Jen to photograph our Sonoma wedding. Jen is an absolute pleasure to work with and her photos are stunning. She captured our day perfectly without interrupting the celebration — we got all of the pictures we wanted but it didn’t feel like we were constantly being grabbed to pose for photos. We also loved the mix of portraits and candids, and some of our favorite shots are the unplanned ones.

Jen is amazing!!

We hired Jen for our engagement shoot, our Chinese tea ceremony, and our wedding day — and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! The photos are absolutely stunning, and the turnaround time was impressively fast. For our engagement shoot, we didn’t have the best weather or lighting, but Jen somehow made everything look like a dream in the photos. My husband is generally shy in front of the camera, but Jen made us feel so comfortable by giving us gentle direction and posing suggestions that felt natural. She captured every moment so beautifully and effortlessly — we’re so grateful to have had her document such special memories!

Wedding Photography Made Easy

Jen provided everything we could have wanted in the way of our official wedding photographic historian. She was organized, and provided us guidance on what we needed. She was pleasant, and made everyone feel at ease about the process both leading up and during the day of the wedding. Jen is simply the best!

Jen is incredible at what she does! We cannot recommend her enough. She is a consummate professional and incredibly responsive, adaptive, calm, and amazing to work with. We worked with Jen for our engagement photo shoot (which was postponed countless times due to the pandemic) and our rehearsal dinner and wedding (which was also postponed). Throughout the entire process (nearly 2 years of planning) she worked to understand and realize our photography vision. We can't wait to work with her again. Jen is fabulous! Easy to work with and a great photographer!

Jen is wonderful! From our first introductory call through photo delivery, Jen was incredibly easy to work with, accommodating, responsive, flexible, friendly, and most importantly, a great photographer! Jen took engagement photos for us and shot our small (26 person) wedding. Jen was really helpful with the planning process, she weighed in on location suggestions for our engagement shoot and advised on vendors for our wedding. When it came time for the engagement photos, a terrible wind storm was in the forecast. Jen was incredible flexible and happily rescheduled for a few days later. She even gave us her expert opinion about which day would be best after reviewing the forecast. On our wedding day, Jen went above and beyond the duties of a photographer (she helped bustle my dress, she helped talk to the venue staff to resolve minor issues, etc.). I am so glad Jen was by our side! We love the photos Jen took and are so happy Jen was the one to capture our memories on our special day!

Amazing Photograher

There are not many events more nerve-wracking than your wedding day, but the day will be gone in an instant. What remains are the memories and pictures of that glorious day. So, what you want is perfection in your photographs. Jen makes that happen. From the very beginning she made us feel comfortable. She listened, understood what we wanted, and we felt so confident that she would follow through with all our wishes. Day of, she made us so comfortable and at ease. She helped us relax and we knew we were in good hands. There’s just nothing like it when you hire a professional. She was everywhere at once and you hardly noticed her. How did she do that? Amazing wedding photographer!

Jen is an incredible photographer, and we are SO happy we had her for our wedding! She was very prompt and helpful in all communications during the planning process. Due to covid, we postponed our wedding and then had to change the venue. She was so flexible and kind amidst all of these changes! The day of the wedding, she arrived right on time. I normally feel so awkward getting my picture taken, but I felt totally at ease with Jen. Our pictures turned out even better than I could have imagined! The posed photos are of course beautiful, but she also captured some candid moments so perfectly! We received a preview of 75 photos one week after the wedding, and the full online gallery 3 weeks after. We could not be happier with the experience we had Jen and give her our highest recommendation!

Best photographer ever!

I just had the absolute pleasure of working with Jen on my wedding. Being a wedding planner, I have worked with many, many photographers over the years, but when it came time to plan my own wedding, I knew immediately I wanted to work with Jen. I don't need to tell you that she's utterly talented. Her photos clearly show that. In fact there are many photographers that are extremely talented, so let me share with you what sets Jen apart from the other professional photographers in the area. First off, it's her personality. Jen is super organized, professional, kind and most importantly, fun! Your photographer is the vendor that you will spend the most time with on your wedding. You want to feel relaxed, calm and happy, otherwise it will show in your photos. Jen sets the tone, keeps things light and fun, all while capturing beautiful photos - both posed and candids. But what really sets Jen apart is the amount of detail and planning she does with you before the wedding day. To be totally honest, I wasn't looking forward to taking the various formal family photos before the wedding, but because Jen had a focused shot list and knew exactly what photos I wanted and who was expected to be in them, the process was so smooth and super quick. It was absolutely painless, in fact, it was fun! I have first hand witnessed the photographers who do not do the pre-planning that Jen does, and it's a mess on the wedding day. So much time is wasted looking for Aunt Sally or tracking down a groomsman to left to go to the bathroom when he was needed for photos etc. Jen's experience and organization keeps the process streamlined, leaving you more time to party with your guests. And of course your photos will be stunning as well! Thank you Jen! I feel so fortunate you were my wedding photographer!

Amazing Elopement Photos!

My wife and I hired Jen on short notice to shoot our elopement at a hotel in Napa Valley after our big summer wedding in LA was cancelled due to the pandemic....and we are so so happy we hired her! A vendor you cn trust!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Jen for our September wedding in Sonoma. We spoke with several different photographers, and ultimately we felt as though Jen's body of work and personality was the best fit. Her prices, while not cheap, were competitive and within the range of what we planned in our wedding budget. She was friendly, willing to answer our numerous questions, and really flexible with creating packages that suited our photography needs.

The package we ended up going with included an engagement shoot, and full wedding day coverage with a second shooter. We also firmed up pricing for wedding albums. Jen was super accommodating and flexible on the day of our engagement shoot. She really made us feel at ease, and took the time to get to know us. On our wedding day, Jen and her associate Kendal, showed up on time and were totally delightful and professional. They had it all down like clockwork. From our details shots, to getting ready, and of course all of our special moments during the ceremony and reception. We LOVE our engagement shoot and wedding day photos - we've framed them up everywhere in our home!

I think any couple who has ever been through the wedding planning process know that the process can be anxiety-inducing if your wedding vendors aren't in the loop. Before, during, and after our wedding day, Jen was extremely communicative and reliable. She was in touch with our coordinator and other wedding vendors, and even did a walkthrough of our venue with us beforehand so we could choose out special spots for our first look and portraits. After the delivery of our images, she worked with us to correct any minor details to ensure that all of our images were delivered to our liking. Once all was said and done, Jen also worked with us to design a wedding album in time to gift to our families for the holidays.

If you like what you see on Jen's website and social media pages, you will not be disappointed with what you get if you book with her!

A final minor detail: it seems the assumption in the wedding industry is that the males care less about the wedding planning and details, despite being an equal half in the upcoming union. While this may be true in most cases, I personally found this a little frustrating as we were both contributing in different ways in the planning process. I SO appreciated that Jen was one of the few vendors that addressed both me and my husband in practically all of her communications.

Would hire Jen three times over - oh wait, I did

I originally found Jen based off her stellar reviews and hired her to do an engagement photo shoot in Napa as we searched for our future wedding venue. True to form, her lifestyle photography vibe gave us the exact look we were going for in our pictures: natural, candid and captured real moments, not poses. We ended up finding our wedding coordinator and venue later that week based off Jen's recommendation and industry relationships. Naturally, I wanted Jen to be our wedding photographer and we also did a boudoir shoot. She is highly organized and professional, and her warm and friendly nature will put anyone at ease. I am obsessed with my wedding pictures and loved working with Jen throughout the entire process. She learned our style and what was important to us, and captured the perfect moments forever! My wife and I decided on a private wedding ceremony as both of us do not like being the center of attention. So we decided to go to Napa. Just the two us. And while we wanted the private ceremony, we also wanted the cake, the champagne, and some pictures so that we could document the special day. We booked a package through a local Napa B&B. The package included everything but the hair and make up. Unfortunately, the package also included a photographer that had a portfolio that seemed to be amateur. This was going to be our special day so we wanted a high quality photographer. The weeding coordinator provided us a few alternatives, and one of those was Jen Philips. We were impressed by her portfolio. Both the quality of the photographs (focus, light and sharpness) and also the style (the natural poses, the background used, etc).

After agreeing on the one hour session and what was included in the fee, we shared with her a few special requests and filled out a questionnaire on her website. Since we were doing just a one hour session we knew our time with Jen would be limited. Jen arrived to the B&B on time and prior to the ceremony walked the property with my wife to identify the best places for pictures, including moving the standard spot for the ceremony in order to get the best pictures; the standard spot would have resulted in some shadows in the pictures. We definitely appreciated that she shared that information. After the ceremony we took pictures with some banners we brought with us, pictures in a couple of other spots on the property and the obligatory cake cutting pictures. She also took some cute pictures of our rings. Jen also brought more than one camera in order to use the best camera/lens combination for the photos.

Jen did a great job with our wedding! She was very responsive to our needs before the wedding and getting it right for the wedding. She was flexible about the time spent and working with my budget. This is our second marriage with kids on both sides and all sorts of family. She graceful got all the groups together and made it work. Jen is the whole package: extraordinarily talented as a photographer, professional, friendly, and enthusiastic at every turn, and able to put her subjects at ease while capturing moments that are effused with beauty and emotion. We were lucky enough to have her for our elopement/intimate wedding at the Carneros Resort and we could not have been happier! Before our wedding, she took the time to really understand what was important to us and she was very organized while shooting, making sure she got all the shots we were looking for. We loved just about every single photo we received, and there were hundreds for just the two-hour period that we had her.

We should also mention that her digital platform was impressive and very user-friendly; it seamlessly integrated her gallery, event set up (questionnaire, payment, etc.) and photo delivery.

Words really are not enough to explain how much we loved working with Jen Phillips she is truly amazing and so talented we called her and immediately hit it off we were on the east coast and the communication was outstanding! We knew at that moment that she fit us and we wanted her for our elopement! She is so talented and she took so many pictures she captured us both in her pictures. My husband and I instantly fell in love with Jen! We were planning a destination wedding to wine country and she was able to meet with us, show us her beautiful work and provide other vendor recommendations! Jen is very personable and professional and makes you and your guests feel beautiful on your special day! We had a few ideas of some pictures we wanted but we were really able to leave the details in her hands. We love looking at the photos Jen took and reliving our day all over again!

We loved working with Jen over the past year. She is such a professional and her photos are beautiful, but best of all she’s such a kind and easy-to-talk-to person. We were choosing between a number of highly qualified photographers but after meeting with three of them in person, we knew we had choose Jen. At our first meeting she was so friendly and already had so many good ideas for our save the date and wedding shoots. She has a lot of contacts in Napa and we were able to take advantage of that to include a quick shoot in a vineyard on our wedding day when our venue didn’t include a vineyard setting.

On my wedding day I was so grateful for her presence. She was able to keep me calm through small wedding hiccups and kept us to a tight schedule. She was able to get beautiful, natural photos of the whole wedding. We just love looking at our wedding pictures - sometimes we can’t even believe it’s us! The wedding was the best day of our lives and I’m so grateful she was able to capture it for us.

We looked at the online portfolios of nearly a dozen wedding photographers before choosing Jen. We chose Jen as the photographer for our wedding (an elopement with just a few close guests) because we felt that her shooting style matched the look and feel we wanted for our wedding. Having now received the photos from Jen for our wedding day we are ecstatic with the results. She captured the evening in her signature style and its been great reliving the day through her photographic eye. Her choice of natural lighting and composition gives the feeling of actually being there. Nothing looks "photographed" -- not even the posed shots. And the candids captured the celebration and joy that was going on. Without a doubt we are 100% satisfied with having chosen her. As for value, she was not the lowest price option, but her pricing fell within the middle range of what the other photographers quoted. Frankly, having now seen the results of her work, we'd have chosen her all over again, even if she had been the most expensive option. At the end of the day its your wedding; something that you can't redo a second time. Having your memories of your special day match what you will see in the photos she takes is a great thing. We could not be happier with Jen. We adore our photos and we are so happy we worked with such a talented photographer. I would highly recommend Jen to anyone. She really knows how to capture the perfect moments and the emotions of the big day. To say the least our pictures are absolutely breathtaking. We are in love with our pictures as are many of our family. I hope this review was helpful. Serioulsy, this is a once in a lifetime experience don't settle for less.

Jen is the absolute best! We were referred to her by our wedding planner and I am so glad we were. We purchased a wedding package with her that covered 8 hours with 2 shooters and included an engagement package. I'm really glad we went that route because the engagement session gave us the chance to get to know her and get comfortable in front of the camera. She was so easy to work with and made us feel at ease during both the engagement and wedding day. My husband and I opted to go with a first look so that we could enjoy the cocktail hour with our guests. Jen found the perfect spot at our venue for it and captured what was an incredibly emotional moment for my husband and I without us even noticing her. We have been to so many weddings where the photographer seemed very invasive and in the way and Jen was the exact opposite. She seamlessly integrated herself into the crowds to get the shots she needed and most of the time we didn't even realize she was there shooting until we saw the photos later. At one point after we ate our dinner before speeches she took us away for a few moments to do sunset photos in the vineyard and had us back quickly to keep the evening flowing. At this point we only have the preview album but based on those I feel confident saying that all of the photos will be beautiful and I can't wait to see them all! If you need a photographer then go with Jen. You won't regret it.

Jen was AMAZING! I interviewed many wedding photographers in hopes of finding someone who would match our style and personality... and capture the moments of our wedding for a lifetime. Jen did exactly that! She was so awesome and captured every detail, tender moment & spontaneous silliness of our wedding day. Jen is the best! From the first point of contact via email, to our phone calls discussing details to meeting in person for our engagement photos and then the wedding itself - Jen was accommodating, super friendly, easy to get along with and made the whole photo process fun! Our engagement photos were beautiful and we used one as our save the date. We met with Jen during the week of our wedding at our venue to go over details, and she made sure that both my husband and I would have a photographer assistant come to the houses we were getting ready at on the day of the wedding. On the actual day of the wedding she helped everyone feel relaxed and comfortable, even when we were taking pictures in the 90 something degree weather! We're super excited to see our wedding photos!

When my husband and I got engaged and decided to elope in Napa, the first thing I investigated were the photographers in the area. Photography was the most important aspect of the elopement to us, as we wanted to be able to share those moments with our family and friends who would not be attending.

Of all the photographers we contacted, Jen was the most impressive one. She was friendly and prompt on the phone, her website was easy to navigate and well designed, and her photos were stunning and looked anything but staged. Neither me nor my husband had ever been on a photo shoot and we wanted someone who would make us feel at ease and make our photos look as natural as possible.

Jen was very easy to deal with through the scheduling process - our date got bumped around a few times - and was absolutely perfect through the elopement date. She took photos of all the little details that we considered important, got some great shots of our dogs - the only ceremony guests - and provided us hundreds of stunning photographs. If we lived in Napa, we would be hiring her for future family portraits; since we don't, the best we can do is recommend her to anyone who wishes a stress-free, delightful elopement photo shoot.

Seriously everything about Jen is fantastic. We could not have asked for a more professional, lovely and all around kind photographer. My husband and I are pretty low key folks, we aren't into the super posed photos where everyone is smiling like maniacs and we weren't into having 10,000 photos of shoes, rings, etc. And Jen knew exactly how to capture the exact type of photos we wanted. She really listened to what we wanted and didn't want for that matter and even pushed us to get some pictures of what we thought we wouldn't want - turns out we did ;)

She is someone who makes you feel calm, cool and collected and you can definitely see that in our pictures. The other thing that our guests commented on was how unobtrusive she was throughout the day. Her and Kirsten (her also very lovely 2nd photographer for our day) captured lovely shots that I truthfully didn't even know they were around for - how awesome is that?! This was really important to us because my husband and I have definitely been to weddings where the photographer was all up in people's business taking cheesy posed photos, but that was not Jen and Kirsten AT ALL. They took natural photos of everyone at our wedding having a great time, chatting, dancing, etc. She also really scoped out our venue to figure out the best shots, which I so appreciated.

One last note, she's just a great person. You will want to be around her, hear her stories, laugh with her and if anything I think that speaks worlds about the type of person/photographer she is.

Jen and her staff did an absolutely great. They are creative and so gracious. They took pictures at our Rehearsal party and ceremony and reception. They were so wonderful. I would highly recommended their services to discerning bridal family.

Jen is beyond wonderful when it comes to wedding photography. My husband and I first used her for our bayside engagement photo shoot, and the pictures were absolutely stunning! Then, as a testament to Jen's flexibility, I asked if she would be willing to do a bridal boudoir shoot for me as a surprise for my husband. This wasn't something Jen had done before, but she gladly accepted the challenge, and the photos rivaled any boudoir photography I had ever seen. Finally, she captured every detail of our wedding day beautifully, and we LOVE all of our photos. Jen is fun, personable, and always made us feel at ease and comfortable. Jen Philips is incredible! We are so happy with our photos, both engagement and wedding pics! She was professional in every way, but felt like a friend! Jen took the time to get to know us which it made all of our photos perfect! We were referred to Jen by our wedding planner. After looking at her profile, we were sure she is the photographer we were looking for. Since we were planning our wedding from overseas, we only got to know her through a video call. She was so sweet and friendly, just like a new friend we want to meet.

Both my husband and I are quite camera-shy. Jen and her assistant Jenna did a magic job on our wedding day. We didn't feel they were around us, but they captured all the beautiful moments we want to remember. We love all the pictures!

I had a great experience with Jen. I worked with Jen via email for several months for my surprise engagement while I was in Napa Valley. Though I live in Los Angeles and never met her prior to the proposal I was very confident that Jen would do an excellent job. She is very responsive via email and we came up with a great plan for where and when the proposal would be and how to optimize everything. She even did scout work for me before our trip to Napa to find the best place to propose. We were very happy with the pictures and the overall experience. Thanks Jen!

Jen is an amazing photographer. I found her online and fell in love with her work immediately. Once I spoke to her on the phone and got a sense of her personality, I knew I had to have her photograph my wedding. She was really communicative through out the entire process and was willing to do what we wanted. A few weeks before the wedding, she had us fill out a very detailed questionnaire to get all the details just right. On the day of the wedding, she brought an assistant Jenna who was also wonderful. Jen was so friendly and everyone in our wedding party and family loved working with them. Posing for pictures for long periods of time can be awkward but Jen and Jenna made everyone feel relaxed and the entire process was fun. We just got the pictures and they are so beautiful and really captured our day perfectly - we have received so many compliments on them. There are so many good ones choosing pictures for to frame or for an album is going to very difficult. Although all our vendors were really wonderful, Jen was one of the best decisions we made.

Jen was delightful to work with. I made arrangements with her from the East Coast and did not meet her until an hour before our ceremony, but she put me at ease within minutes and made me feel taken care of. Neither my groom nor I typically enjoy being in front of a camera, but Jen’s warmth and humor helped us relax and enjoy each other. Our wedding was very small and outdoors, and she captured us walking around the beautiful grounds as if we were in our own little world. The hours flew by, and in the end her photographs really captured the beauty and spirit of our day.

I hired Jen to shoot our wedding in August in Mendocino county. Jen is lively, confident, smart, easy-going, fun, approachable and I can't imagine having worked with anyone better on our wedding day. Her pictures speak for themselves. She's obviously talented, creative, and has that perfect way of capturing every detail that makes it feel like it was in a movie. From the moment we met her we were impressed with her professionalism, friendliness, organization and just fun spirit. We instantly trusted her to capture our wedding in the exact way we wanted. I first found Jen Philips Photography through a referral from my venue. After reviewing photos on her site, I knew Jen's timeless, elegant style was exactly what I was looking for.

Jen was very to work with from the onset. She responded to emails quickly and was flexible with her packages, allowing us to swap out a few items. Jen then had us fill out a short "get-to-know-you" survey. It made us really think through what types of photos we wanted for our big day.

For the wedding day, even though we had never met in person, Jen and her assistant made us feel very comfortable and at ease. They were warm to all of my family, and had even memorized many of my immediate family's names to help corral people for the group shots.

The photos themselves turned out beautifully. Jen and her assistant never felt obtrusive to what was going on, yet somehow were able to capture intimate pictures. There were all sorts of photos- shots of the venue, bride and groom photos, bridal party group shots, family group photos, and many candid shots throughout the day including getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and cake cutting. Every moment of our big day was captured!

I can't give a high enough rating for Jen Philips Photography. I would recommend her over and over and over again to anyone looking for a professional, talented photographer. I couldn't be happier!

Booking Jen to shoot our engagement and wedding photos was the easiest decision I made throughout the planning process! I had the honor to work with her many times prior to my wedding being a Event planner in Sonoma Valley. Having seen so many talented photographers in the area, Jen's work always stood out to me because she produces the most amazing photos where you can almost feel the emotion she captures.

Being on the other side of the camera was definitely a nerve racking experience; however Jen made us feel calm and at ease, and the photos came back exactly as we had hoped! We let her know what shots we really wanted and were able to enjoy our wedding without spending hours pulled away from the party.

She and her team are not only amazing at what they do, but they are probably the nicest people you will ever meet! I cannot recommend Jen enough!

Choosing Jen as our wedding photographer was one of the easiest and best decisions we made during our wedding planning process! She was highly recommended both online and in-person by several local couples. From our first consultation Jen was professional, kind, and not opposed to going above and WAY beyond for my husband and I. Her presentation and company branding were top-notch and impressed both of us from the start. Jen worked with us, and kindly obliged several frantic phone calls from myself, to secure the perfect location for our engagement photoshoot. During our shoot she was so easy to work with and my husband and I felt instantly comfortable with her. When we got our engagement pictures back we were amazed. Jen was able to capture both of our personalities and our love for one another perfectly without the typical poses or cliché engagement style photos-- her work is fine art. Leading up to the wedding she made herself available any time we had a question and always made us feel like she had all the time, and patience, in the world for us. At the wedding, Jen was able to achieve the perfect balance between traditional wedding photos and candids, all the while moving among the events and crowds, seemingly everywhere at once. We were recommended to Jen by our wedding coordinator at Viansa Winery. From our first conversation, we knew we had found our photographer. We asked her what she enjoyed most about her work and she said to be able to capture pivotal moments and the expressions created by those moments in her clients' life, is what she found the most rewarding. Bingo. We were sold.

Jen photographed our engagement session and wedding both with professionalism, talent and with an artistic eye. Not only is she an easy person to work with, shes friendly, out going, funny and makes you feel at ease.

Jen was amazing to work with and a true professional for our elopement in Napa. Given that we live in Chicago, all of our communication was done via email and everything worked out perfectly. Jen understood what shots we wanted and she did an outstanding job of capturing the entire day, start to finish. When rain played a part on our wedding day, Jen had such a positive attitude and really captured some amazing photos given the weather! We can look back at the photos and relive the day entirely through the pictures and remember every feeling that was happening at that moment! Even when showing the photos to friends and family that did not attend the actual wedding, they felt that they were there just looking at the images. We could not have been happier with the photographs from our wedding day and our decisions to work with Jen Philips. We planned our entire wedding remotely so it was really important that we found vendors that we connected with and could trust while we planned the wedding across the miles. Jen and her assistant Jenna were such a calming presence and made us feel so comfortable. Everything from contracting to viewing our proofs was so easy since Jen does all of this electronically. Jen did a great job of setting expectations about what to expect each step of the way and delivered everything on time and exceeded our expectations. It has been difficult to choose the wedding photos for printing and inclusion in our album since all of them are so good and capture special moments and expressions that will help us remember that day for years to come. It's a very good problem to have! We can't say enough good things about Jen. She's truly an artist and a wonderful person as well.

We recently planned a destination wedding for friends and family at the breathtaking Moon Mountain Retreat in Sonoma. All of our vendors and preparations had to be handled from afar, and we couldn't have landed upon a better photographer than Jen. Right from the start, her open and friendly nature coupled with astute professionalism made our planning process easy and stress-free--without ever having to meet in person. She also was helpful in customizing our package to fit just our needs, especially for our smaller wedding group. We had high expectations for the quality of our photographs, but we didn't want to hassle with planning and managing poses and shots to include all of our details and intimate moments. Jen took care of everything! With instant rapport, she moved effortlessly through our celebration, making lasting memories and capturing so many "moments" we weren't even aware of. Seeing her photos literally made me relive those moments because she captured the emotions and the details in each special moment so perfectly. Not only does her stunning photography perfectly tell the story of our big day, but Jen could not have been nicer or more pleasant to work with. Jen was great!! The photos we have seen so far on her blog are beautiful and we are so excited for the full set. Day of Jen and her assistant were everywhere snapping photos - always accommodating requests. Very professional, but very down to earth and easy to work with.

Jen traveled to Mexico with us for our wedding in Punta Mita. The day was so beautiful and when I received my photos they were EXACTLY how I remembered it. I just cant say enough about how wonderful our experience was with Jen. Our photos from our private elopement were absolutely amazing. Jen did such a great job capturing each and every special moment. We will cherish these photos forever. She is a true artist and we are so glad we chose her. The photos are so beautiful- i almost cant believe it was all real!

Jen was an amazing photographer. Before we got to the site she had already started taking pictures of the site and our flowers. Once we started she was very helpful with directing us in the pictures. We got our pictures in a very timely manner and loved all of them. I would absolutely recommend Jen Phillips photography to anyone.

Jen was thrown for a loop on our wedding day because her assistant was ill and unable to attend. She assured us she would work double time and it would all turn out. Sure enough she was totally right! I couldn't be happier with the pictures of our wedding! Capturing the memories just the way you imagine can be a difficult feat but Jen completely delivers! My husband and I got married this past summer in a quiet country setting among the redwoods and oak trees of Yorkville. One of the best decisions we made was choosing Jen Philips as our photographer. The day went by so fast and I am so grateful to Jen for capturing every single detail of our special day. Many of our guests commented on her professionalism and most said they didn’t even know she was there! Jen has a peaceful, yet upbeat, demeanor about her and she’s great with kids – for those tough to photograph flower girls and ring bearers (we even had our little Boston Terrier pup as a flower girl and Jen got some great shots of her too!). My husband and I have such a blast every time we look through our wedding photos…it’s like we’re reliving our wedding day! One piece of advice I can offer to any couple who is planning their wedding…don’t skimp on a photographer! Your wedding photos are something that you will have for the rest of your days together. Hiring a quality photographer is so important and I know you’ll be happy with Jen!

My husband and I live in Oklahoma and decided to elope in Napa Valley. We didn't really think about the fact that we would be making every desicion online or by phone...not meeting face to face. It was a little scary but we couldn't be happier with Jen Philips! She was exactly what we wanted in a photographer and the pictures are gorgeous! She was fun to work with and had lots of good ideas for pictures. The weather was perfect for outdoor shots, but she also had good indoor ideas. We were very happy with the finished product!!

Wow, where do we begin!? From the moment we first met Jen, we knew she would be the one to capture the memories of our wedding day. And she did it flawlessly! My husband and I are from Texas and decided to have a destination wedding in beautiful Napa. Some of my friends are photographers, but something just told me I should venture out and find a local photographer who really knows the area. Jen was so accommodating from the beginning and met with us in San Francisco for coffee/wine. I had no idea what to expect, but Jen was incredibly professional, kind, and organized, which is a big re-assurance for a girl who is slightly OCD. We decided to book Jen, which was the best decision my husband and I made (besides getting married at The Carneros Inn). Jen has an incredible online system set up and my geeky husband quickly pointed out how the user interface was done so well. You can see your payment history, plan and organize your photo schedule, and communicate with Jen all on one site! Jen is also incredibly responsive with communication - big or small, she got back to us quickly. Apart from the beautiful photos we received (preview and final images), the most outstanding impression Jen left on me was her easy going, kind, and accommodating spirit amidst the chaos a wedding can create. I had countless family members and friends tell me how impressed they were of Jen and her team. It's truly the greatest feeling knowing that your guests were as happy as you were at your wedding. That was the BEST weekend of our lives and I will never forget the joy and love we shared with each other. I'm so happy Jen captured it all in her amazing photographs. I would highly recommend her to any bride!

My husband and I can't say enough nice things about Jen and her work! Her gorgeous photographs bring our wedding day to life everytime we look at them. She was brilliant at catching the emotion and the special fleeting moments that occurred on our wedding day. I usually don't like to look at photos of myself, but I LOVE looking at these...they make me feel so pretty! Jen is amazing at capturing a person's outer and inner beauty. I also can't begin to describe the number of compliments from others we received on our wedding photos. So many people said that we looked straight out of a catalog (in a nice way!) and a few asked for her contact info.

We met Jen in California and she was just amazing. My wife and I renewed our vows in Napa and Jen captured some fantastic photos prior to the ceremony and afterwards through the vineyards. This was a milestone anniversary for us and renewing our vows was a surprise for my wife. Jen organized some amazing photos in the most natural of settings given the element of surprise. The memories she captured for us throughout the day exceeded all expectations and we recommend her to anyone looking to ohotograph some incredible memories in a special place with that special someone.

Jen photographed our elopement ceremony at Viansa Winery a couple of months ago, and every one of the images is absolutely stunning. Jen was a pleasure to work with, she managed to photograph every detail and moment that I really wanted captured (you fill out a questionnaire ahead of time to let her know special things that aren't to be missed) though I hardly noticed she was there!! The photos really show how much fun our families had together, as well as how much love was present at our event… she captured it all. The images were beautifully edited and delivered in a very timely manner. She even sent me a few images ahead of schedule so I could display some for our reception back in Ohio! Her online gallery is really easy to use also. She is kind and professional and incredibly talented, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

One of the things that I decided I would splurge on for my wedding was the photographer. And with Photography by Jen Philips, I definitely made the right choice and couldn't be happier with the end result. I found Photography by Jen Philips after doing extensive research and going through many portfolios. Jen's work immediately caught my eye--I loved her use of as much natural light as possible and the whole idea of fine art photography. I didn't have the chance to meet up with Jen before the wedding itself, but she made coordination very easy and organized through her studio's online client website. I was impressed by how easy it was for me to plan out the details with her through the site. During the wedding, Jen was a complete professional--showing up early to take photos of the venue, listening to our specific requests, putting us at ease and directing us during our photo shoot, getting all the guests together efficiently for the group photos, and even staying behind to take some more pictures of the beautiful venue afterwards. And even now, after the wedding, it is still such a pleasure to work with her on the photos. We can't wait to work on our album and see it all come together!

My husband and I from the start of our planning put photography as one of the most important vendors we would hire. Our one takeaway from the actual day would be our wedding photos so we wanted them to be good. I had a specific 'look' I was hoping to achieve with my photos as well and so the search began about 9 months before our wedding. Wedding photographers in the Bay Area can be ridiculously expensive and we were on a budget. We also wanted a photographer who knew how to handle bossy family members.

Enter Jen. She could not be more warm and friendly upon our first meeting and her look and prices were exactly what we were looking for so it was a perfect match.

Jen took photos of both our engagement shoot and our wedding day and we were so overwhelmed with the beautiful quality of them all. There are so many amazing photos from my wedding, I almost don't even know were to start to whittle them down in the one's I want to display.

Throughout the process she would help us decide on our schedule for the day and helped us decide where would be the best place to take photos. Her and her assistant for our wedding were incredibly professional and I don't have a bad thing to say about her.

I have already recommend Jen to one person I know and they were happy with their services as well and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her again!

Jen was extremely professional. We had difficulty contacting her originally but I believe that was due to an e-mail glitch and not lack of responsiveness. Jen had some unique ideas and really helped capture the essence of our day. We live in Canada and got married in Napa Valley and had no issues at all with communication before the wedding or after.

I work in marketing and love photography. Jen Philips has an artistic approach to her photography, making them beautiful, timeless photos to cherish.

Before our wedding, Jen Philips photographed us for our engagement session. She was personable and professional, putting our nerves at ease. In time, we barely noticed that the camera was there because my husband and I were having such a good time. She produced a gorgeous guest book from these photos for our wedding day.

On our wedding day, Jen captured all the special moments and details of our wedding. I told her what images that I would like to have and she exceeded my expectations. When I got the proofs back, I was very excited and happy. The hard part was picking which photos to frame because there were so many great shots.

I highly recommend Photography by Jen Philips for any bride to be!
