A fantastic DJ, MC, and Musician

Enthusiastic, Amazing Sax Player and Kept the Party Rocking

Jeff was accommodating, easy to coordinate all the different music styles from the wedding party - took suggestions up to the last minute. In a very stressful time, he was the calm in the storm and pulled the entire party together from the planning to the execution! Jeff Ladd was quite possibly the best DJ at a wedding I've experienced. I've been to a lot of weddings and the DJ can seriously make or break the entire event no matter how expensive the venue is, how pretty your dress is, or how many people are there. Perfect DJ Choice if you also want live music!

We hired Jeff Ladd for our September 2022 wedding after thoroughly enjoying his work at my sister's wedding in 2017. Jeff is extremely professional, kind and approachable. He made our day special and memorable for all our guests by providing live music during the ceremony, at cocktail hour, and during the reception. He plays a variety of instruments. Jeff is the BEST!

We hired Jeff to DJ & play the saxophone for our wedding, and we 100% make the same choice if we did it all over again!

Jeff was responsive, professional, and so accommodating through every step of our planning process. He listened to our preferences, provided his professional opinion, and ultimately gave us the best wedding soundtrack ever. He even learned a new song on the saxophone just for our ceremony!

Our guests loved every second — the dance floor was packed until the minute it closed and people couldn't get enough of the songs where he played the saxophone. We are so thankful we chose him to be a part of our special day!

Jeff is in a Class of his own!

Jeff did an absolutely PHENOMENAL job at our wedding. Straight to the point, here are a few things that made him stand out:
1. Jeff visited us at our venue the night before to go through logistics, song choices, and timing for transitions throughout the night (ceremony, reception, etc.). Thanks to his prep work, we had no need to hire a professional wedding manager.
2. I gave Jeff a very small list of recommended songs. The set list built from those songs was right on point.
3. Most importantly, Jeff absolutely RIPS on the Sax. This brings those high energy sections of his set list to the next level, and keeps people dancing through the night. We had something like 90% of our ~100 guests on the dance floor by the end of the night.

AMAZING! Highly recommend DJ Jeff Ladd!!

Jeff is an outstanding DJ and musician and an absolute pleasure to work with! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Let me start by saying that we had booked Jeff back in 2020 for our original wedding day in June 2021. Due to Covid, we had to postpone our wedding reception by a year but we still had the ceremony on the original wedding day. Jeff was very understanding of our situation and worked with us to ensure he could do both dates. He did an incredible job at both our ceremony and reception, we couldn't have been happier! Jeff is very organized and has everything in order so the event runs super smoothly. He knows how to read the room and finds the perfect balance of playing the saxophone with any song requests the bride and groom have, and any other songs he thinks will work with the evening. Several of our guests asked us who the DJ was because they were so impressed with him. On a personal level, my husband and I both enjoyed all of our conversations with Jeff and we always felt SO comforted knowing we didn't have anything to worry about with the music/DJ part of our wedding. I truly wish all vendors could be as professional, personable, and wonderful to work with! I highly recommend booking Jeff Ladd, it will be one of the BEST decisions you make for your event!!

Couldn't ask for better!

To say going with Jeff Ladd was one of our best wedding-related choices would not be an understatement. Jeff took the time to really get to know my husband and I, and he made us feel completely comfortable and excited to put our wedding hosting responsibilities and music in his hands. Jeff went above and beyond to make himself available to help bring all our details together, even when we had to cancel/reschedule our wedding less than a week before the event. We had a wonderful time working with Jeff. His saxophone playing and enthusiasm provided many fun and memorable highlights throughout the evening. Outstand service at a great price.

Just about all of our guests complimented Jeff at one point or another. His music selection was great. He coordinated the wedding perfectly and his sax playing was stupendous.

From a planning perspective, he was always polite, very helpful and very responsive. He is great with hard to pronounce names.

Jeff would be worth the price even if he charges us more.

Look No Further!

Jeff took our wedding to another level—the words of every guest at our wedding. His ability to capture the audience and the mood with the saxophone led to applause from guests pre-ceremony, which our officiant told us he had never witnessed before. Jeff’s ability to help schedule the night, flexibility to work with our requests, and his understanding of the atmosphere helped make our wedding better than we could have imagined. DJ & Saxophone Extraordinaire!

After 2 cancelled wedding celebrations due to COVID, we decided to do things a little differently the third time and have everyone at a favorite restaurant. We contacted Jeff pretty last minute to see if he was available. He was the DJ at our good friends' wedding and we loved him there, and knew he would be amazing at our celebration too! Thankfully, Jeff was available and was an absolute pleasure to work with during the planning process. He made things so simple, which was just what we needed. The venue had three rooms and Jeff was amazing at figuring out how to plan the night and use the space perfectly. We had the best night! We picked out some songs, but also knew that Jeff was the expert and knows how to get people dancing. Jeff is also an extremely talented saxophone player. Our guests LOVED the songs he played while walking around during our cocktail hour, and we loved dancing to the sax songs too! It was so nice to have the saxophone as an extra something that was a little different from most wedding DJs. We highly recommend Jeff!

Book jeff for your wedding he's amazing!

We hired Jeff as our DJ for our wedding Sept 24th 2021 after attending a co-workers wedding and seeing him play & DJ. He blew us away then & he did it again on our wedding day. He was not just on time, he was early! He made sure everything would be set up and ready to go! He welcomed our guests with beautiful music playing on the sax. Great mix of live music and DJ

Jeff was a recommended vendor at our venue, and I am so glad we ended up working with him! My mother-in-law preferred to have a band, so his live music performances were the perfect compromise. It added such a unique feature to the night, and our guests were raving about it. Jeff played a crucial part in making sure our night flowed smoothly. He helped us with the timeline beforehand and answered any questions we had. We had some last-minute adjustments to the bridal party and it was no problem for Jeff. If I could do it all over again, I would pick Jeff every single time. He knows his stuff and is a true professional.

Jeff was amazing!

My experience with Jeff was great. He is well versed in ceremonies and weddings. From speaking with Jeff over the phone to our wedding day, he was very easy to work with. He did a great job making announcements and interacting with our guests. He knew exactly what to do and it made the entire day flow smoothly. Jeff was also great at getting guests to come on the dance floor and be engaged. By the end of the night, the whole dance floor was chanting his name because he was that great. I would definitely recommend him!

Amazing Wedding DJ!!

Jeff is a top notch wedding DJ. He is a highly skilled musician (amazing saxophone player) and knows how to get a party going! Spectacular Performance

After providing the musical entertainment for both my sisters weddings in 2017, there was no question regarding our inclusion of Jeff in our wedding at the Cliff House in Maine. Jeff is a true professional and joy to be around. His live musical skills are unparalleled and provide a elegant touch to any wedding. As anticipated, we receiving glowing reviews of Jeff’s performance all night from our guests and the staff at the hotel, with our wedding coordinator saying Jeff was the best musical vendor she has seen since her time with the hotel. Jeff mixes up older songs with newer songs. He is happy to take requests and makes sure the party stays alive, while performance beautiful pieces on the sax and clarinet during cocktail hour and dinner service.

Jeff absolutely blew us away from the very first moment we started talking! Jeff is warm, welcoming, kind and talented beyond belief. The absolute best!

I could not have imagined a more perfect experience from Jeff! He is the absolute best and I have never experienced such a wonderful DJ and everyone that attended our wedding felt the same day. Amazing talent!

Jeff is amazingly talented! Jeff has accompanied many family events including my sister-in-law’s wedding and in-law’s anniversary party. So we were very excited to have Jeff be the DJ for our wedding in October! Jeff was great to work with. Great experience

Jeff is a very talented musician and DJ, plus he is a pleasure to work with, which when planning a wedding is a tremendous plus! Jeff responded promptly and thoroughly to emails and was able to incorporate last minute family requests no problem. There are so many things to keep track of when wedding planning, and having an easy to work with vendor is invaluable.
Jeff is a very warm person and we could tell he cared about us and making our day great. My grandfather played the saxophone, and Jeff learned his favorite song and played it while I walked down the aisle. It made the moment so meaningful to me and my family, and I loved being able to have live music for the ceremony without having to hire another vendor. He kept the party going all night and I was continually amazed at how he managed to get everyone on the dance floor. Even the venue staff commented at the end of the night how much our guests danced, which they said doesn't normally happen! We provided maybe 10 songs to give him an idea of what we like and he took it from there, creating playlists for the pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception that each had music for all age groups and our varied guests. It saved us so much time!

Jeff was also a huge help with the flow of the evening. We didn't do traditional things like a first dance or introductions and he had great ideas on how to flow the evening in a way that suited our preferences and personalities. We would definitely recommend him!

Perfect DJ!!!

If you’re looking for a DJ stop here! Jeff should be your guy! Our first tip that we made the right decision was that our venue was just as excited he hired him as we were! My husband and I are out of state, so Jeff was easy and accommodating of our distance! We had multiple phone conferences, and extensive email conversations. Day of when we arrived at the venue Jeff was there and had us lined up in 2 seconds flat. He kept the crowd going all night long. And the saxophone!!!! The best DJ!

I'll keep this simple because I see no reason for anyone to ever look to hire another DJ if it isn't Jeff Ladd. Going into our wedding I wanted a DJ that I felt comfortable with, as they are a big part of the night. Jeff was the first and only DJ I contacted. I could immediately tell that he was the right person for the job. He is extremely friendly, kind, a good listener and flexible. He was happy to do whatever we wanted, and was also comfortable offering his own suggestions and helping us decide the best songs for the occasion. We didn't give Jeff a song list for dancing because we trusted that he would play the right songs- best decision we could have made. It saved us work and every song he played was great and everyone was dancing all night! His beautiful saxophone playing was just the icing on the cake. He even played the saxophone for our first dance. Jeff was absolutely one of the highlights of our wedding and our guests loved him. You should absolutely hire him to be a part of your wedding day, you will not regret it.

The best decision we made

Jeff’s talent is beyond amazing. His musician and DJs skills were wonderful and made our wedding day perfect. He was so helpful and flexible during the planning process and truly executed the entire ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception perfectly. He played his saxophone throughout the night as well as DJ’d the entire evening. He had everyone on the dance floor and really catered to all of the guests at our wedding. He truly made our day wonderful!

Professional with Class!

One word to Describe Jeff Ladd is Classy! If you want a professional DJ that can do it all I would recommend Jeff. From the planning stages to the Wedding day Jeff made it easy. During the planning stages he took the time to understand what kind of music we wanted to play at our Wedding. If we had any questions he always got back to us in a timely manner. The wedding day we could not as any more of Jeff. He kept the guests entertained thought the reception. After the wedding our guests would mention how great the DJ was. Overall with Jeff all I can say is he hits all the right notes!

The best decision we made for our wedding

If there were more than 5 stars, we would give him 10. Jeff Ladd is simply incredible and was the highlight of our wedding. Jeff truly has talent with reading the crowd and kept our dance floor packed all night. He also brought that extra something special with playing the saxophone, which was an amazing addition to our wedding. Not only does Jeff have talent, but he also is extremely personable, fun, and attentive to our needs. He went above and beyond with everything that we asked for. We had multiple guests ask us for his name and contact information by the end of the night. We couldn't be happier with our decision to have him DJ our wedding!

Jeff went above & beyond and wowed even our guests!

Jeff Ladd was the DJ at our wedding and this was one of our best vendor decisions!
One of the biggest questions we were asked during the reception was how we found our DJ - our guests were so impressed, especially at how he included saxophone in an elegant and tasteful way. Neither myself nor my fiance-now-husband were huge saxophone or jazz lovers, so we weren't sure what to expect, but Jeff did a great job of bringing a strong personal touch to what could otherwise be "ordinary" music. He mixed saxophone solos on top of some tracks throughout the night, and the combination was just great.
He was also great at reading the audience, and knowing just what was needed to get not just the audience but also us as the bridal couple dancing!
Of course, he did a wonderful job accommodating requests & helping us choose music that would fit our big day. We gave him some guidelines of music choices that we liked, but trusted him completely to choose the playlists & he did a great job!
And while this wasn't something we considered when choosing a DJ, one noteworthy thing our guests talked about (besides the saxophone!!) was that he did a great job controlling the volume. The music was loud enough to dance to, but didn't drown out conversations at the tables.
He truly went above & beyond in helping the day go flawlessly and we would highly recommend him to other couples looking for a DJ!
As another testimonial to how great Jeff is, he was recommended to us by our photographer, officiant & venue - all separately!

Amazing, memorizing, attentive

Jeff Ladd is amazing. He played the saxophone for our guests and played the best songs to keep our guests fully engaged and on the dance floor all night! Our personal connection to Jeff made our night something to remember forever and I’m glad we got to experience it with him. Our guests still mention how much they enjoyed Jeff. Best DJ You Could Ask For

Jeff not only rocked the dance floor, he also serenaded the dining room. His timing was incredible and his ability to get people on the dance floor was uncanny. People at our wedding can't stop talking about how great Jeff's sax, clarinet and DJ abilities are. We will be forever greatful for the amazing job Jeff did, he truly made our wedding. DJ for my Wedding

Jeff Ladd is an amazing man! Not only does he do a fabulous job as a DJ but he also has that extra something! He can play the saxophone! My guests were delighted by his playing as they enered the venue. I also got to share a special father daughter dance with my dad to his playing. It gave my wedding that extra something it needed to make it memorable! He was so pleasant to work with and has amazing song choice ideas if you need any help! Highly Recommend!

Amazing experience with Jeff Ladd!

We had the pleasure of having Jeff Ladd DJ our wedding on October 5th and we could not have been more excited with his service. From the day we chose him to our wedding day, Jeff was an incredible communicator and he made us feel confident in our choice every step of the way. Jeff took one of the stresses of wedding planning, and made it smooth and care free. During the actual ceremony and reception we had a countless number of our guests comment on how great Jeff was. Whether it was him playing saxophone during cocktail hour or him getting the reception dancing going, he was perfect from beginning to end. Jeff was also extremely helpful and accommodating in getting my best man speech projected at the venue due to my best man being overseas. My wife and I can not recommend Jeff enough and neither of us can imagine having gone with anyone else!

Jeff absolutely KILLED IT at our wedding! He had the entire wedding on the dance floor all night. Everyone still raves about him, and they loved that he plays the saxophone as well. He brought the feel of both a DJ and live band together. We must say, he plays the best rendition of Take On Me you will ever hear.
Working with Jeff is also a dream. He is so quick to respond and unbelievably organized, and he is available to help at almost any time. He gives great advice if you're stuck on what to do. I highly recommend him for any wedding or event!

I can't say enough good things about Jeff. He was professional, understanding of what we wanted, clearly cared about our wedding, and played the sax beautifully. During the reception people were taking videos of him and I had multiple people come up to me praising him and asking about his services for their wedding! During the whole wedding from ceremony to the end of the reception he was so intuitive about what we needed and when we needed it and pulled everything together flawlessly. Jeff did SUCH an amazing job at our wedding! From our first meeting, Jeff made things so easy and walked us through all of the decisions we needed to make. He was able to accommodate some last minute requests a few days before the wedding to help us honor my grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary as part of our big day. On the big day, Jeff's many talents kept the party going strong all night long! From the little ones to my grandparents, everyone was able to enjoy the music that night. Jeff's live saxophone and carefully chosen music had us on the dance floor having a blast the whole time! He did a great job catering to the many generations in the crowd- it's hard to keep 4 year olds and 94 year olds in the same crowd going all night long! We would highly recommend Jeff Ladd to any couple looking for a DJ that will provide the perfect entertainment for you and ALL of your guests!

Jeff was an absolutely amazing DJ for our wedding! From the moment we first heard him play when we met with him we knew he was the only choice! His selection of songs on the saxophone were perfect for dinner and the cocktail hour. We got soooo many compliments about his playing and he is so talented that he sounded like a professional recording! For the rest of the evening he played all the perfect songs and enough of a variety so that everyone was happy! Our dance floor was packed all night long and it was definitely thanks to him! He was such a pleasure to work with and gave us suggestions so that we felt very comfortable having him run the show for our big day. When we told our catering manager that we had booked Jeff for our June 2 wedding at SImsbury Inn, she assured us that it was a great choice and that everyone loves him. She couldn't be more right! Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work with and made my husband and I feel comfortable and confident right from the start. Having our guests out on the dance floor all night was very important to us and thats just what he did. My mother-in-law had requested a band for our wedding but my husband and I both wanted a DJ as we like a variety of music. Jeff is the perfect answer to that situation and we received many compliments from our guests (young and older) about how great he was and how they enjoyed his music. He was open and respectful to our music requests and offered great advice about what songs work and what don't. Jeff is a fantastic DJ and a fantastic person. We are so grateful to him for such a fun and perfect reception.

We had Jeff as our DJ for our spring wedding. He did an amazing job—our family and friends are still talking about him! Not only did he keep everyone on the dance floor all night but he is an incredible musician who enhanced our entire night with his saxophone playing. Jeff was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. He definitely went above and beyond making sure everything went smoothly. Our biggest concern was that he had never been to our venue before. Jeff showed up 2 hours before our ceremony to ensure he was set up and knew the lay out. We would highly recommend Jeff!

Highly recommend Jeff! Awesome service and great music. We communicated very easily and he was extremely responsive to our needs and inquiries. I would highly recommend Jeff Ladd! He was the DJ for our wedding on March 31st and besides keeping the whole evening running smoothly and everyone on the dance floor his AMAZING saxophone skills was a special surprise all the guests loved! Jeff was super helpful and detailed when going over the ceremony and reception song selections with us. He had great suggestions and in cases where we requested songs a little off the beaten path he worked them into dinner and cocktail hour to make sure the reception was a true party. In addition, our first dance was to only fools fall in love by Elvis that he learned on the sax!! It was one of my favorite moments of the night. If you were thinking about hiring a band but the price tag was too high Jeff’s saxophone playing is a great way to get live music with the fun of dj songs everyone knows and loves. I feel like the review is probably too long but honestly Jeff is a great entertainer and all around great guy and I would recommend him to any future brides!

Hiring Jeff for our wedding was a no brainer. Our guests were blown away by his talent and ability to encorporate the saxophone along with entertaining our guests with modern day music. Not only is he a genuine nice guy but man can he rip on the saxophone. Not just one saxophone but two! His responsiveness and attention to detail goes beyond words. He surprised us by playing the saxophone during our first dance at the most perfect time. He truly is one of a kind and there is no one else I would ever recommend for a wedding. Jeff is an absolute delight! He was so attentive, insightful and very talented. He listened to our requests, gave great advice, timed everything perfectly and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night! He has this phenomenal ability to read the room and keep the energy going. He even learned to play the song for our first dance. That was above and beyond amazing; it added such flair and elegance to the reception. Jeff gave us a CD at the end of the night with our key song choices which we listen to over and over again. Jeff Ladd was 100% the PERFECT choice for our wedding last week. Before the wedding Jeff met with us to not only to go over the important song choices but to get a feel for our style. He took the time to get to know us better than he already did in order to know what kind of music we wanted. And man, did he get our vision! His live music during cocktail hour set the tone for a magical, romantic night. Everyone raved about how awesome he was. Through out the night he played songs that got everyone from 3-90 years old dancing! He played current, music for our friends, crowd pleasers for everyone, classics for the older group, and romantic songs for the love birds. Every person I have talked to cannot stop telling me how amazing the music was. Not only was the music spot on, but Jeff himself is amazing. Days before the wedding I would have second thoughts about songs, entrances, etc, and he was so responsive, patient, and truly caring about my needs and my piece of mind. If you want a dj/musician/ MC that really cares about your wedding, Jeff is the man.

I can not say enough great things about Jeff! My mom, now husband and I instantly knew he was the right choice after our first meeting with him. As soon as he started to play the saxophone my mom and I started to cry because it just sounded so beautiful. My husband and Jeff shared similar interests in a jazz bassist from the 70's and Jeff was so nice to send him a CD with his music. He is so easy to work with, very responsive to calls and e-mails, and an all around great guy and DJ. Many of our guests asked us where we found Jeff because they too also thought he did a great job! They loved the songs he played on the saxophone. It was something different and original and that's what we wanted. When it was time to DJ and get the party started he played a great mix of music to get different ages up and moving on the dance floor. I would not think twice about recommending Jeff to other brides and grooms. My husband and I are already trying to think of another event to have so we can hire Jeff again! Thank you Jeff for making our wedding day so perfect!!

Without a doubt, Jeff Ladd is the DJ you want for your wedding. He was the DJ for not just my wedding but my sister's wedding as well and on both occasion, everyone was blown away by how well he entertained the crowd. If you’re even considering hiring Jeff for your wedding, stop considering and do it! Booking Jeff was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We’ve been married almost two months and our guests still keep telling us how much fun they had and how much they loved “the sax man”. Jeff is professional, quick to respond, full of good suggestions for music, and great at keeping the evening moving efficiently. And his saxophone playing really adds an extra special touch that other DJs just can’t offer. I cannot recommend him enough, but suffice it to say—our dance floor was never empty!

I am beyond thrilled with the service we received from Jeff for our wedding. You cannot go wrong with hiring Jeff, he is a great DJ, talented musician, and genuinely great person to work with. When looking for a DJ, it seemed like so many of the DJs at the bridal expos etc. were a dime a dozen... they were over the top, cheesy, looking to make the wedding into a "club", and offering fancy light shows. I didn't want that. I wanted great music and a professional who would make everything flow smoothly. I wanted someone CLASSY. When we met Jeff for our initial consultation, he invited us to his home and played the sax for us, we were so impressed. He had such a great personality and his talent was undeniable. He took a great deal of time talking to us, asking questions, and making suggestions. Months later when the the big day was approaching, he had all of that info from our initial meeting written down and remembered more of our preferences than I even did. We had several follow-up calls just make sure we stayed on the same page.

The day of, Jess was amazing. When I arrived at our ceremony site, I could here him playing the sax and it was just such an amazing vibe. The ceremony was orchestrated perfectly and he was able to get up to our reception site quickly and get cocktail hour going (despite the weather throwing a wrench in the mix). The remainder of the night was so awesome. I think almost every guest made a point to compliment us on how amazing our DJ was. "He is awesome! Where did you guys find him?!" everyone wanted to know. He had everyone dancing, from our flower girls dancing to the song from Moana to our 90 year old grandmother getting down.

In conclusion, Jeff was amazing and I couldn't possibly be an happier with his services. I highly recommend him and I know you will love him too!

Jeff is excellent, you will have no issues with the music piece of your wedding at all if you book him. We couldn't decide between a DJ and a band, and because of Jeff's instrumental skills, we feel like we got both! The dance music was perfect, and when he played the saxaphone it was so beautiful, classy, and elegant. He was also very open to accommodating all of our special requests, and was quick to offer suggestions if I asked for them. He is great at what he does, and is a genuinely sweet man. Jeff was the DJ at my brothers wedding in 2014 and as soon as I got engaged, I knew I wanted to hire him for mine as well. I remember being blown away at his talents and all of the compliments my brother received for how great Jeff was.
I am so happy I chose Jeff. He is so talented, friendly, communicative, and made the entire process smooth and flawless. He listed to our ideas and gave us his professional opinions as well. He worked hard to personalize our day. He had never worked at our venue before and he went there twice beforehand to make sure there was no confusion on the day of the wedding. He was well prepared and didn't need to pull me aside once on my wedding day in order to ask me questions. He kept the festivities going on the wedding day so I wasn't wondering what we were doing next (fist dance, bouquet toss). I never once had to worry about forgetting something. He also gave us a soundtrack at the end of the night of all the music that we used in our ceremony and reception. It's such a great keepsake and when we play it, it takes us back to our special day!
Overall I highly recommend Jeff for any event! Thanks so much Jeff for everything!

If you're even reading this review consider yourself lucky - it means you have heard of Jeff Ladd. Once you know he's out there, you should be so excited to check this box off your wedding to-do list, with excitement. You have found a better DJ than you could have imagined. My husband and I got married September 2016, and Jeff absolutely made the day. "DJ" doesn't sound like nearly a large and gratifying enough term to describe him. He will probably never know how much comfort he provided us, around some of the most important decisions around our day. His responses to calls and emails were certainly timely, but always provided so much insight and flexibility. We had a couple chats at his home, where it felt as though we'd known him for years. And then of course there is his amazing work on our wedding day. He was absolutely phenomenal. He is completely flexible to as much or as little live music as you like, and for us it was the perfect combination. We wanted the dance floor full all night, no matter the genre or whether he was DJ'ing, playing sax along with a song, or doing a solo. Jeff wants a full dance floor as much as you do, and he has perfected his style. He can get a feel very quickly if the crowd is feeling a song, and switches it all up just right. No one has stopped talking about the music at our wedding, or just the overall guy himself. Let me be clear, he does not steal your spotlight. He lets the party happen. But at the same time, as we all know, the music has been known to make or break some weddings, and no matter what, will likely be one of the most talked about and remembered features of your wedding - Jeff will not disappoint, and what people will be talking about will be more like raving. Do yourself a favor, hire Jeff Ladd for your wedding. We used him for our wedding on 10/22/16 and we could not have been happier with him.

He worked with us to get all our music needs sorted out well in advance of the reception and he was very responsive when we had questions or wanted to make changes.

Jeff put together a playlist that was exactly what we wanted, he was a great announcer, and everyone loved his saxophone playing. We had more than a few guests come up to us unprompted to say what a wonderful job Jeff did. Hire him, you won't regret it!

We all know a DJ can make your wedding. We knew of Jeff's talent of making everyone have fun and be comfortable from my sister's wedding. I knew we wanted him for our wedding and he did a phenomenal job. We had so much fun at our wedding. We decided to do a unique reception and he accommodated all of our requests, even those emailed to him the night before the wedding. Coming from two cultures, we wanted two first dance songs to represent us and he made it such a nice transition. Everything flowed very nicely. People of all generations were on the dance floor having fun and that is what we wanted! An added bonus of Jeff playing the saxophone was a total hit at our wedding which made everyone really enjoy themselves. It was very sweet that Jeff gave us a CD of our ceremony and reception helping us relive those special moments. Thank you Jeff so much!!

Jeff was an amazing DJ and is the main reason we had such a wonderful wedding! Jeff was so responsive, upbeat and ready to help with all the planning that needed to be done from his end as DJ. I had asked him if I could put together a voice-over for my father/daughter dance and he put all the wheels into motion and made my dream become a reality and then gave my family copies of the recording! Best decision we made was booking Jeff as our DJ for our wedding! If you're thinking of booking Jeff as your DJ, do it - you won't regret it! Working with Jeff was extremely easy, most of our communication was via e-mail because that was our preference and Jeff always responded promptly. What I loved most about Jeff's services is the unique combination of his beautiful saxophone playing with his upbeat DJing. You get the best of both worlds - a live performance with the saxophone and DJing all in one. All our guests raved about Jeff's work and our dance floor was never empty. Not to mention Jeff's smooth MCing. We couldn't have been happier with Jeff's work. He performed at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our guests couldn't believe that he was playing the saxophone in real time because it was so perfect - some people thought it was a recording. I cannot say enough good things about Jeff! He was recommended from our venue and I am so glad we took their advice. He completely understood my eclectic music taste (I can be quite picky) and was able to put together an amazing playlist that pleased all generations and kept everyone dancing on one of the hottest days of the year (it was 95 and humid). For the playlist Jeff took some of my favorite songs and combined them with music he knew would be hits with our guests. After the last song finished everyone chanted for an encore and he delivered! He went above and beyond my highest expectations. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how great he was and they loved the saxophone during cocktail our and dancing. It was really a special touch that took our reception to the next level.

You will be SO happy using Jeff Ladd -- he brings such a different dimension to your wedding as both a musician and saxophonist. Jeff Ladd did an amazing job as my wedding DJ!! Right from the first initial meeting he was very professional, kind, helpful, and supportive. He was with us every step of the way during the whole process. He was very quick to respond and offer feedback when I had questions or needed some guidance on what music to select. Jeff is very talented!!! He captured our music style perfectly with the songs he chose to include during our reception. He not only played the popular upbeat dance songs but added a romantic feel to the whole wedding by playing songs on his saxophone as well!! It gave the our wedding that extra unique and classy feel!! He played songs that suited everyone and wold get all our guests (of all ages) up and dancing the night away!!! As an added bonus he collaborated with my matron of honor for her speech (as she did a rap song as part of it). He was more than willing to work with her and make the day just that much more special! So let me just tell you that working with Jeff Ladd as our DJ/musician was a wonderful and memorable experience. I walked into cocktail hour and had MULTIPLE guests come up to me and tell me how much they LOVED his talent while playing the sax! They thought it was unique and an elegant touch that he played the sax during pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. My guests loved that touch (him playing the sax) and commented how it made the atmosphere feel relaxed, classy, and elegant. We loved how he would go from playing music to playing his sax and getting on the dance floor with our guests!

Where to begin?! Jeff was our DJ/amazing saxophonist for our May 21st wedding in Saratoga Springs, NY. When looking for a DJ, we really wanted to find someone who could DJ as well as play live music so we really hit the jackpot when we found Jeff. We spoke to quite a few other DJ/musicians, but in the end, we ended up going with Jeff due to his warm personality, amazing talent, and glowing reviews. Although Jeff hadn’t worked in upstate NY previously, we took a gamble and couldn’t be happier.

Leading up to the wedding, Jeff was easily accessible and easy to work with. He provided recommendations for songs when needed and was also very open to our must play/do not play suggestions. But the day of the wedding is where Jeff really shined. Our guests, made up of 75% guests aged 25-35, could not stop raving about Jeff – playing everything from classic Stevie Wonder to modern house music in perfect balance. Guests thought it was so unique to have someone who could DJ and play saxophone from the cocktail hour up through the last song. The highlight of the night was at the end of the night encore when Jeff got in the middle of a large circle of 75 guests on the dance floor and played ‘Africa’ on the sax – everyone was clapping and dancing around Jeff, clearly demonstrating the amazing job Jeff did to keep guests on the dance floor from beginning to end.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Jeff and would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone who is looking for an ‘all around’ DJ. For us it was hard to find a DJ who ranged the full spectrum of music, from Frank Sinatra to Calvin Harris, but Jeff was able to pull off every type of music and then some. The dance floor was full all night from pre-dinner to the very last minute of our reception. Book Jeff Ladd for your reception immediately – you will be glad you did!!!

Jeff was referred to my husband and I by my late mother-in-law. I remember the first time the three us of went to meet Jeff and discuss our music plans for our wedding. From the first meeting we knew Jeff was the musician we wanted on our special day. After hearing about the loss of my husband's mom three months before our wedding, Jeff reached out to us to send his deepest condolescences and set up a meeting to discuss ideas of how to remember her on our wedding day. Jeff offered us some great suggestions and we cannot thank him enough. Jeff did a wonderful job of MCing our wedding and adding that special touch to the reception. I could not possibly give a higher recommendation to Jeff Ladd! My wife and I live apart because of my military service, so planning the wedding was a bit challenging. Jeff took care of absolutely everything regarding music at our wedding and the overall pace and timing of the night. Jeff is the perfect DJ in that he took the reins, planned it all out incorporating our requests, and alleviated any worry or concern on our part. Trust me, this is a huge relief leading up to and on the day of the wedding. He orchestrated the music at the ceremony seamlessly, played at cocktail hour, and was the hit of the evening during the reception. I cannot tell you the amount of people who have commented to me after the fact how much they enjoyed the music at our reception. He has an exceptional knack for choosing just the right song at just the right time and he kept all of us dancing and celebrating for the entire night. He is also an extraordinarily talented saxophone player. I honestly thought it was a recording until I looked up and saw him playing what can only be described as a studio quality performance in the middle of the dance floor. Jeff Ladd was referred to me by my good friend and Justice of the Peace, as one of only two DJs she would recommend. Hiring Jeff Ladd to DJ and MC our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.

Jeff was so helpful in planning the flow of the evening with all his creative ideas from his years of experience. He was also open to any specials requests we had to add to the day. Jeff is very good at reading his customers and the crowd and he responded by adding many unexpected touches.

The day went off without a hitch. Jeff was so professional. He took the worry of the details our of our hands so we were free to relax and enjoy our wedding day. Let me start by saying Jeff is the best DJ I have ever met and is purely talented! I have known Jeff since I was in middle school and he was the DJ as my schools 'Boo Bash'. As years passed and I got engaged, there was no other option but to have Jeff as my DJ. Before the date was booked, we made sure Jeff was available for our date. When we decided to change our date, before anything was official, Jeff had to be available.

A few weeks before my wedding we met with Jeff to go over my thoughts for music and the flow of the wedding. We went over everything from the pronunciation of everyones name to the extra special requests that I had. He had great suggestions for the Mother/Son song and for the introductions for the Bridal Party. It is clear that Jeff knows what music is popular at the moment and what the crowd will like. I gave Jeff a list of a few songs I wanted played, but the rest were his choice and he did an amazing job!

Not only does Jeff get the crowd going, he knows how to read the crowd and what songs are popular. He is AMAZING at playing the saxophone! All my guests were amazing at his talents and his choice of music. My friends (in their 20s) were all very impressed with his selection of music and how amazing the saxophone sounded. They even went so far to take business cards for their future events.

If you are looking to have the wedding or party of a lifetime and want great music and a great DJ, PLEASE do yourself a favor and talk to Jeff Ladd. I cannot stress enough how amazing he was. Thank you Jeff!!

Let me start by saying that I am the Mother of the Bride and wanted the "Perfect" day for my daughter. When we found the venue of choice, we wouldn't reserve the date until we spoke with Jeff Ladd to make sure he was available!
During our planning stages for the wedding, we (my daughter and I) spoke with Jeff about any questions and concerns and he was always available for us. When we got to the end of the process, we met with Jeff and picked out the music and discussed what we expected at the wedding. The last time I planned a wedding was 27 years ago and my daughter has never done this so any recommends from Jeff was greatly appreciated. Jeff did tweak some of our ideas and boy was he on target with that. The day of the wedding, Jeff was strolling the cocktail hour with his different instruments and everyone was very impressed. Jeff is not just a DJ but he makes your day absolutely magical and does everything first class. Throughout the evening he kept the dance floor packed! Jeff not only did a great job with the music but was able to feel the crowd and cater to the music to keep the party going. At one point I had stepped out of the hall and when I walked back in, for a moment, I thought people had started to leave as the tables were empty and then soon realized everyone was on the dance floor. I cant say enough great things about Jeff but that day/night all of my guests were in love with him. I had friends and family calling the next day asking for his information for future parties. Once you go to a party and meet Jeff and see how he does his magic, I promise, you will never use anyone else!!

Everyone LOVED Jeff!! I am the mother of the bride and did all of the wedding planning, so first, I have to say he was probably the easiest of all of my vendors with whom to work. He returned every call almost immediately, was very accommodating to my daughter's schedule when planning face to face meetings. He offered excellent insight and advice and answered every question thoroughly. It gave me such incredible peace of mind knowing how experienced and professional he is.
At the reception, we could not have been happier with Jeff. Countless guests commented on his amazing horn playing. Many said it was so good, they thought it was recorded music at first, then saw he was there performing live and were blown away!!! Such a unique, and classy addition to the reception.
He emceed the event very well. He was engaging and entertaining but not over the top, or obtrusive!! His choice of music was excellent. I had guests from age 12 to age 91 and he had something for everyone. Not one complaint from anyone, but compliments from everyone!! The dance floor was consistently full!
We had originally booked him for his standard five hours with the option to extend if the party was still rocking. He checked with me ten minutes before he was to finish and after checking with the bride and groom (on the dance floor with their friends) we decided to keep it going for an additional half hour.
He really is an amazing musician, dj, and person. When the reception was over and we were packing things up and carrying everything to the car, he even offered to help with that!

Book him! Now!!! He made our reception the perfect night-one we will never forget and can't stop talking about! This was the first wedding I have ever been to where everyone and I mean everyone was on the dance floor and had to be asked to take seats because dinner was being served! Jeff knew the right music to get everyone dancing, laughing, and having the time of their lives! The saxophone was killer! Just wow! Everyone was raving about how amazing he was! It was the most beautiful and fun night we have ever had! Throughout the process-Jeff was on point with contacting me and returning any calls/emails and such a wonderful genuine personality! I highly recommend Jeff-the DJ is such an important part of the night and it will be a night for the books!

This man is VERY talented, His sax playing skills literally rival Kenny G, ( and I am not kidding) He made my daughters wedding reception a very special night. EVERYONE loved Jeff! He was a fantastic DJ, read the crows really well, kept the dance floor full all night and provided us with some fantastic sax music for our cocktail hour and during dinner. Many of my guests had wonderful things to say about Jeff after the wedding, and a few kept his card in case they need a DJ. Classy and professional, Jeff really is a crowd pleaser.

from the bride perspective, Jeff was great. He was easy to work with, accommodating of my very hectic schedule, and had very helpful suggestions for planning my wedding. There is a reason he is a preferred vendor for so many venues in my area. He is experienced and very familiar with his trade. I wish I spoken with him sooner and ironed our some of the finer details about entrances and songs - he has some great suggestions! But, a few weeks before the wedding (which was when my procrastinating self got my act together) is sort of short on time! Regardless, Jeff worked with me and it all went off without a hitch! I didn't have a lot of music picked out so he helped me pick songs they really reflected me and my groom and I left the rest to him. Again, cannot say enough about how well he did reading the crowd. Everyone had an absolute blast - even my 80yr uncle who wasn't sure he would have fun told me it was the best wedding he had ever attended - he even got up and danced!

A+ for Jeff Ladd, I would highly recommend him for any event

Jeff did an amazing job at our wedding last night from coordinating a last minute switch from an outdoor ceremony to indoors because of the weather to cocktail hour to the reception he hit every point on the mark! He was above and beyond everything we were looking for! Our dance floor was full ALL night long and all of our guests and other vendors were raving about Jeff!!!! If you are looking for a DJ for a wedding or any other occasion – look no further and book Jeff Ladd. We originally met Jeff at our wedding venue when he was setting up for another event. Once we heard him play saxophone we knew we had to have him play at our wedding. Jeff Ladd played saxophone during cocktail hour of our wedding reception and was the DJ for our wedding reception of July 2015. Jeff was extremely easy to work with and went above and beyond to accommodate our music preferences and introductions for our special day. Whenever we had a question Jeff was quick to respond via email. Our wedding was classy, and everything we could have ever imagined and more, which we owe in part to Jeff Ladd. We are still receiving compliments from our guests about the wedding and how much they loved the DJ and how he played the saxophone during cocktail hour and dinner. The dance floor was ALWAYS full during the wedding reception – he was able to get every generation up on the dance floor.

We were told that the DJ has a large impact on a wedding and he sure did! Jeff's phenomenal saxophone playing was surreal, and his mix of songs had the dance floor packed throughout it's entirety. He listened to what we envisioned and executed it all perfectly. In fact, many guests asked for his info for their future weddings and engagements.

We can't say enough great things about Jeff! He developed a playlist for our wedding reception that mixed our requested songs, with his saxophone playing, and his knowledge to keep our guests entertained; all while maintaining the atmosphere we desired. Our guests found him talented, entertaining, and amusing with his comments. We received compliments on ideas he gave us for the reception. Well worth the money he charges. He responded to all questions we had promptly and gave us input that greatly benefited our reception. Some of our guests have commented on wanting to use him for their upcoming events.
