Great place
Le Méridien Arlington were able to make a few adjustments to the menu to cater to our needs without any issues. The highlight of this venue was the food. All our guests were raving about the food, service was impeccable too. The terrace is great for cocktail hour and views are beautiful. I highly recommend Amuse restaurant for a small wedding.
There were some issues with duplicate/ incorrect charges to our card but those were resolved pretty quickly. -

Perfect Wedding
After my original wedding venue, another Marriott property, fell through due to Covid, I made the switch to Le Meridien and I am so happy I did. Christian, Hazel, and their team created the perfect socially distance event that was still fun and the food was amazing! This event was planned in about 3 weeks and went so smoothly! They were very flexible about everything. I am still getting complements about the day! -

Beautiful, elegant and close to the city!
We loved having our reception at Le Meridien! Tami and Karen were instrumental in making sure our experience from start to finish was very smooth. Karen took care of all of our needs for the big day and made sure every detail was to our liking. All of our guests complimented us on how nice the hotel was and how pleased they were with the food. We hosted our reception at the Amuse restaurant and the Amuse terrace for cocktail hour (100 guests). Both provide excellent views of Georgetown and allow guests to spread out and enjoy the surroundings.Le Meridien Arlington's reply:
Liz,
Thank you for taking the time to review our services. We are so fortunate to have a dedicated staff who are invested in your day. More importantly - you felt your day was perfect! Congratulations.

The Le Meridien team could not be a better events/wedding venue. This place is a gem. Our wedding (100 people) was handled with the utmost perfection and professionalism from start to finish with tons of care and attention. This is largely due to Karen, who is a major asset to their team and just incredibly kind and attentive. I looked out of the bridal suite while I was getting ready (which, by the way, is an incredibly gorgeous room and totally luxurious) and saw Karen directing and overseeing all setup personally! The actual space is amazing - it feels romantic and urban, with a rooftop-like ceremony space that overlooks Washington DC and a reception space with beautiful fixtures and floor-to-ceiling windows. The flow of the floor plan is perfect for a medium size wedding. Distinct ceremony space, photo area, cocktail hour location, bar, reception space, and dance floor.
The hotel includes a ton of mind-blowing details in their package - if you chose to bring in nothing yourself, seriously no decor, you would have a beautiful space with everything included. My beautifu ceremony arch was provided by the venue, for example, at no charge! They allow you to bring in your items a day in advance, saving extra stress. There is a backup plan no matter what might arise! The food was truly incredible - my guests raved about it and our tasting was great. The bar had speedy and attentive service. The accommodations for all our guests were handled perfectly and everyone loved staying in the hotel. People constantly told me this was the best location for a wedding. The sales staff seamlessly transitioned our contract onwards to the actual people planning the event - something I know other brides have issues with, but at Le Meridien every detail was flawless. Every question my family threw at Karen, she had a polished, poised response that put them at ease. We know we made the right choice with Le Meridien - would definitely recommend to other brides.-

We just had our daughter's wedding at Le Meridien in Arlington. The venue is stunning and the food was delicious -- the whole day was better than we could have imagined. We received MANY compliments from our guests. Throughout the planning process, the staff was professional and patient. A special shout out goes to Karen Roesch, Aaron Bailey and Calvin Ware. They took such good care of us! Karen and Miranda were on top of every detail and worked so hard to make the event perfect. Many items that other venues charge extra for (such as the cake) are included here, which not only saves money but reduces the number of details you have to worry about. If you are having a wedding in the Washington, D.C.,/ northern Virginia area, I highly recommend Le Meridien! -

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the event staff were amazing! The Milestones Celebration I planned was such a memorable event and it would not have been possible without the support from of the Hotel staff, especially Tiffany Bell, Wedding & Conference Services Manager. She is exceptionally attentive, patient, engaging and she went above and beyond to ensure that our client's experience at the Le Meridian Hotel was exceptional. Their new chef delivered food that was superb and the drinks were perfect. We have, and will continue to recommend this venue to other event planners. -

We had our wedding at Le Meridien (Nov. 5, 2016) and the service was absolutely fantastic at every level. We were particularly delighted with the service provided by Tiffany Bell. She was instrumental in every aspect of the wedding from the very beginning to the very end. I initially wanted to have our wedding at the Mariott Gateway in Crystal City, but Tiffany Bell demonstrated that Le Meridien was the best choice and she was right. Tiffany Bell is simply outstanding! Thank you again Tiffany.

Tiffany, our wedding planner, was awesome! She responded to my questions or whenever I need help, immediately (or as soon as she could). I would email her every day for months, and she would always respond with a friendly hello. When we met in person, she also had a smile. Very pleasant, cheerful person. She was wonderful to work with. I would recommend her, and the Le Meridien, for your wedding plans. The only reason we did not select the Le Meridien for our wedding venue is the view. We found another place that the view was spectacular. If Le Meridien ever have a wedding location on the top of the roof, I would have selected the Le Meridien for all of my wedding needs. We would not have left anywhere for our wedding (rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony/reception/dancing, and rooms (our 2 suites and 1 standard room was awesome)! All of our out-of-towners stayed here at the Le Meridien, and we hired a bus shuttle to transport our guests to our wedding venue (which was very close to the Le Meridien). The view, to us, was our #1 choice for our wedding venue. All else can be worked on, which we did. Awesome job Tiffany, thank you! Ralph & JohnLe Meridien Arlington's reply:

As a bride who new very little about weddings, having our marriage celebration at Le Meridien hotel was stress-free and honestly, just totally amazing. The location is beautiful (we had our ceremony on the terrace and the reception in Amuse restaurant) and the staff is kind and amazing. Food was delicious and we had many a guest tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We owe a lot of that to Tiffany Bell and the staff at Le Meridien! -

Le Meridien Hotel in Arlington was the perfect choice for my daughter’s wedding reception in early November 2014. The hotel treated the bridal couple like royalty from start to finish. The dinner menu was outstanding, the food really delicious and the service great, and the dining room with its vista of the lights of Georgetown was just so elegant and romantic. The hotel manager was very attentive to our needs throughout the event, and he took some great pictures of the bride and groom on the outside terrace before dinner. Later that evening, those pictures, framed, were placed in the bridal suite – such a nice touch! -

I can’t say enough good things about the Meridien hotel in Rosslyn. We got a fantastic rate for our room block and Alison, who served as our point of contact with the hotel, was incredibly helpful. She provided excellent customer service and I really appreciated her dedication to making sure our guests received the best possible care. This was especially important to me considering that we didn't have our wedding at the hotel; despite the fact that we only used them for our room block, they didn't treat me as any less important than the brides who did have their wedding there. If you're looking for something in the Rosslyn area, they are by far the nicest hotel in that neighborhood and I would highly recommend them. Also, I really liked that they built in the cost of breakfast into the room rate—so we did a “morning after brunch” and didn’t have to pay extra for it because the cost was added on to our guests' room rates--a huge cost savings for us! -

Le Meridien was absolutely fantastic, both throughout the wedding reception planning process and through the evening/wedding weekend itself. Their staff was wonderful to work with, and very responsive by email/phone as we were planning the event. Allison, especially, was delightful! She was really accommodating when we were organizing the menu tasting, and helped keep us organized as we were planning our reception. On the evening of the reception, every detail was perfect - and even if it hadn't been perfect, I would not have noticed because of the professionalism of the hotel and restaurant staff. We were even upgraded to a gorgeous suite for the night of the wedding, and were presented with two printed photos from the evening on the bedside table. I'm definitely not getting married again, but I'd happily work with Le Meridien to plan another large event such as an anniversary or birthday celebration! -

Le Meridien was the perfect venue for my son's wedding. We especially loved the layout of the lobby and the terrace and the recently redone dining room was the perfect size for our event. The rooms were lovely. ALL of the staff, from Allison Shuldheiss whose invaluable help from the beginning is so appreciated, to the front desk folks whose friendliness and professionalism was noted by everyone, to the parking valets who were so happy to assist, made our guests' stay highly memorable and the wedding a great party to remember! -

Overall, we had a great experience with Le Meridien. Allison is wonderful to work with and is very professional! We had one minor hiccup in our planning process - the space was completely renovated a few months after we signed our contract. However, the team was very flexible and worked with us to make sure that the ambiance was everything we wanted it to be. At the end of the day, the room was transformed - gorgeous and just enough space for our guests. We had a great time and our guests raved about the location and the beautiful views! -

We (parents of the bride) couldn't have been happier that we chose Le Meridien for our daughter's June wedding! Every single one of our guests was complimentary during and after the event, and each thought that the staff showed a high level of flexibility and professionalism---a sure way to score points with tourists :)
Also, I'd like to extend a personal thank you to the waiters who served us early breakfasts and evening cocktails. Each was patient with our respective parties' tables growth and shrinkage over a couple of hours, with our sometimes confusing tickets and with keeping the morning buffet stocked and our cocktail glasses filled. It was an especially nice start and end each day, and really created an excellent overall experience for our guests and for us.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our weekend memorable for all of the RIGHT reasons! We're still getting compliments about Le Meridien, even four months after the wedding. -

Le Meridien was a prime location for the couple and the guests. It was central to getting into DC, Georgetown and Metro friendly to and from the airport (DCA). The venue was spacious enough for 120 guests and the terrace outside of the restaurant where the reception was held provided a easy transition between ceremony and reception. The view of the Potomac River and Georgetown provided an amazing background to our wedding ceremony. One draw back is the noise from the traffic and planes landing at the airport but it was not distracting but also expected as we knew we were in the city. So we ensured musicians and wedding officiant was amplified.
The staff was friendly and very professional whenever we met and communicated with us. Allison, the conference services manager, was delightful to work with and she was reliable through out the wedding planning process. The hotel was very organized in ensuring weddings coordinations at the venue were flawless.
The hotel went above and beyond for us several times when they did not need to. They continued to open more rooms for guests and were able to ensure guests were treated as hotel guests as well. The tasting was very professional, where the executive chef fully explained each course and demonstrated how he will try to keep the meals kosher. Furthermore, the bride and her mother dined at the restaurant for a spontaneous lunch, the Chef immediately recognized the bride and provided a complimentary appetizer.
At the end of the wedding reception, when we returned to the bridal suite Allison coordinated to have a bottle of champagne and a plate of fruit waiting for us. On top of that, we allowed the hotel manager to take pictures of the decorated ceremony and reception. He surprised us and provided a framed 8x11 photo from the wedding ceremony, as well as a 4x6 photo magnet! This absolutely overwhelmed us and we could not be more satisfied and appreciative of their level of professionalism and hospitality.

My husband and I have over 70 combined years in association management and meeting planning. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service we received at Le Meridien in Roslyn, Va. for our daughter's wedding. The staff was there for us from beginning to end never making promises that they didn't keep. Execution was flawless. Everything was beautiful. Our daughter was thrilled with her day. We have since recommended your hotel as a wedding venue to others. -

We used Le Meridien as the lodging/meeting place for our friends and family for our wedding. They were by far the most accommodating of all the hotels I contacted for wedding groups. They also gave the best rate of any surrounding hotel (even the local 2 star hotels!). Our wedding guests and family were extremely satisfied with their stays there. Would thoroughly recommend.
Also, we didn't use any of their space for our wedding, but they do have a really nice view of Georgetown, and they are as close to the monuments and national mall as you can get. -

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights because it was close to the venue of our daughter's wedding at the Top of the Town in Rosslyn, Arlington. I cannot say enough good things about this property. It has a very upmarket feel and offers an extremely high level of service at reasonable prices for the area. Prices are especially good on weekends. The hotel is right on the Potomac River beside the Key Bridge which runs over the river to Georgetown. The river view rooms have fantastic vistas. Arlington Cemetery and the Iwo Jima memorial are nearby. Their is also an underground station not far away. The bus from NY to Washington also stops right opposite the Hotel. Most of our out of town guests (about 30 rooms) booked into the hotel. They gave everyone a great deal. My wife and I were upgraded to a very large suite and our daughter got a good deal on the bridal suite. The staff just couldn't do enough for us. I would especially recomend this hotel for a function along with the wedding venue at the Top of The Town, which has unbelievable views of DC. The Hotel is not in DC itself. Rosslyn is more of a business area during the week, but Georgetown is just 15 minutes walk over the Key Bridge and you're right in the thick of it.

Le Meridien offered a wonderful winter package for my wedding. Sandy was helpful in answering all of my questions and Allison went out of her way to make sure things would go the way we wanted. Everything was set up beautifully and the reception ran flawlessly on the day of the wedding. The wait staff were amazing, the food was incredible, and service flowed smoothly. I highly recommend Le Meridien for a wedding in the DC area. -

I can't say enough good things about the Le Meridien. We had our wedding reception there on Sept 15 and it was AMAZING! We worked with Sandy for an entire year and she could not have been any more helpful and flexible.
We had our reception in the Amuse restaurant and had about 80 people- the lay out was perfect...the space itself is not only modern, but very warm and sophisticated. We had long dark wood tables, windows with an amazing view and a gorgeous outdoor patio space use throughout the night.
The food was amazing! I know it's very hard to get great food for a wedding, especially at a hotel but good food was one of our most important requirements. We received so many compliments on how delicious it was and how perfectly it was cooked (and we can also speak to that first hand). Also- all the plates were served fresh and hot- not pre-made and re-heated.
The other great things- the wedding suite was amazing, the bar space in Amuse is unique and in a perfect location for our guests when they were not on the dance floor, the service staff was super attentive...seriously I loved everything about it! It truly was the best night of my life! -

My husband and I stumbled onto the Hotel Palomar during a wedding open house and immediately knew we had found the PERFECT spot for our upcoming nuptials. The space itself is gorgeous, very modern, and has an amazing view of DC. Sandy (the event manager) was just very down to earth, not pushy at all and was very receptive to our multiple inquiries. Chef Paul the amazing head chef, Borris and Eileen were all invaluable too! My husband and I are both foodies and I have to say that food and beverages services were spot on, probably better than we both had anticipated. We're still getting compliments 3 months later.
We ended up getting married during hurricane Irene and the Palomar staff adjusted everything quickly and gracefully. We had the ceremony indoors and that worked out really well. The Palomar also accommodated most of our out of town guests at a very reasonable rate. Plus everyone got free wine at the Palomar happy hour! It was also very convenient to hop over to Georgetown where we had our rehearsal dinner. And to top it all off we got quite the room upgrade. We couldn't have been happier with our entire experience:)
Thanks Sandy!!!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Le Meridien in Arlington. Our Coordinator, Tiffany Bell, was amazing and was so helpful every step of the way! The location was perfect with great views of the Potomac river and Georgetown though there are flights from Reagan National Airport. -

Breathtaking view
If you are dealing with Christian then you are in good hands (can’t say the same about the rest of the team) We got married on May 15th, 2021. Christian literally went above and beyond to make this wedding a success. There was a night where he literally pulled an all-nighter and worked a double shift to ensure everything gets done on time. The view is amazing on the terrace and chef Dave’s food is the definition of perfection. We held the entire event outdoor which was spacious and felt safe. We had to delay the wedding twice due to the pandemic and honestly I can say the wedding turned out great for a hotel that’s just emerging back from a tough pandemic year. There was an incident caused by miscommunication between Hazel the manager and her team, it wasn’t ideal but we somehow got through it.-

This is one of the few places in the area that will allow you to have a ceremony only and a reception elsewhere which was a plus for me. For the most part I was assisted from the beginning and all the way through but I had a minor snag along the way - one of which was being billed for my third payment installment on a date other than what the contract stated. Other than that, Tiffany and Mya were very helpful and flexible with everything. The property itself is very beautiful in a great central location especially for any of my China Garden brides and grooms. My friends and family enjoyed their stay and rooms plus the views are awesome! Be aware that if you do try to cater food through the hotel for your guests, it's a bit pricey (not just here but ALL hotel properties). -

We had our out of town guests stay here as well as a welcoming dinner the night before. The service was great and everyone enjoyed the food. We really enjoyed our stay here at Le Meridien in Rosslyn! The rooms were clean, and the decor was great! It was easy to check in and out, and the front desk people were professional, helpful, and quick. The valet staff were quick and helpful with a smile. Allison in group sales was super helpful as she managed our wedding block rooms, was very responsive before we arrived to make sure everyone had a room or answer any questions I had :) My spouse and I were able to stay in the Presidential Suite which was just amazing, with a view of Georgetown, a Jacuzzi, living room area, and dining room area and two bathrooms. The room was perfect to receive guests before and after the wedding. We also had our make up and hair person come to this room to get ready for the ceremony and reception. I would definitely stay here again :) -

We chose Le Meridien as our block of hotels for a nearby wedding. They were responsive and we were able to save some money for our guests. We also did not have to pay for unused rooms but the deadline to save the block was a month before the wedding. The lobby is really nice as is the restaurant. The smaller suite was ok for getting ready for 6 people. Of course I wished we had a bigger room but we were trying to save money. The jacuzzi in the suite was awesome. -

My husband and I had our cocktail hour and wedding reception at Le Meridien in March 2014, and it truly was such a wonderful experience! Our situation was a little unique in that the hotel was renovating their event space prior to our event and we were the first event to be held in the new space which was truly stunning with the Potomac overlook. I couldn’t give 5 stars in all categories only because the renovations finished the morning of my wedding despite pushing our wedding date back 2 weeks. If I had to do it all again, I would still do it at Le Meridien because it turned out so beautifully and because of all of the hotel staff that I worked with!! Allison was our coordinator and she truly did anything and everything I asked, and she did it all in a very timely manner! She was so accommodating with all of my ideas from table runners to extra room keys to storage of our decor, and she made everything seem effortless! It is very evident that she truly cares about the bride and groom and wishes only the best for them on their special day! I must also say that Mabel and Edwin did a fantastic job with the cocktail hour and reception service! I know that I was probably in my "bride bubble" but they both seemed to anticipate anything that might "come up" and they took care of it even before it did. Le Meridien treated all of the little details with respect to make our dream day come true. The food was amazing! I received so many compliments on the cocktail appetizers (passed and table) as well as on the dinners! I did not use a cake from the preferred bakery as I had another cake vendor, and so Allison decreased my per person cost accordingly. The accommodations in the hotel were great. Our suite was enormous and beyond anything I ever imagined! Allison was also so kind and she asked the front desk to upgrade our guests' rooms as they were able. Bottom line, it is a stunning venue and the staff will make your dream day come true at Le Meridien!! -

We had our wedding reception at The Amuse restaurant at Le Meridien in Rosslyn. This is an ideal location for about 100-115 people. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with a glass wall that looks out onto a terrace that itself overlooks the Key Bridge, Potomac River, and Georgetown skyline. The terrace is the perfect place for a cocktail hour before the dinner and has ample space and seating. Additionally, all of the catering and the cake (all of which were fantastic!) are provided through Le Meridien, so it really cuts down on having to deal with lots of different vendors. We did not use a third-party wedding planner, and it was completely manageable. That was in large part due to Tiffany Bell, the event coordinator at Le Meridien, who is absolutely fantastic. Tiffany is extremely responsive, professional, and paid attention to every detail, including how we wanted our table décor arranged and the placement of our card box, wedding favors, etc. Doug Osborne, who ran the concierge the weekend of our wedding, was also extremely helpful and professional. Additionally, Le Meridien treated our families extremely well and had fruit and cheese plates delivered to our room and our parents' rooms the night before the wedding. First-class service!
Our only hiccup/complaint was getting the event contract negotiated and signed. Tiffany steps in as the relationship person on behalf of Le Meridien after the contract is signed, but the contracting person is someone different, and she was not the most responsive or helpful, and it was at times like pulling teeth to push the contract through or get answers to our questions. But, once the contract was signed, the process was a breeze, so stay the course and you won't regret having your reception at Le Meridien. -

Our wedding experience at this hotel was more than we could ask for. We had everything from the ceremony on the Terrace, cocktail hour at Amuse and reception in the main restaurant. It was a beautiful day a breathtaking moment and food was delicious. We were so impressed with the service Alex Robles provided us, who made many things possible. From the beginning planning stages the staff was very attentive to creating our ideal experience. I also really enjoyed the tasting experience, selecting the right food for our guest to enjoy.
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the contents in our bridal suite after the wedding. Upon arriving we had a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Also set up in our room was an 8x10 photo and 5x7 magnet which captured our recessional moment. We could not have picked a better location for wedding day... I absolutely loved our experience! -

Stunning Venue
We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was for our reception. The wall of windows looking out onto a terrace with Georgetown in the background is stunning! Karen and her team work so hard to accommodate their clients and to execute every detail to the highest standard. The put in so much time to make the room and the food and everything so perfect for our big day and we are so appreciative! Our guests were so impressed with how smooth the evening went, and everyone (event and hotel staff) was so kind and friendly and helpful - they made everything so easy! THANK YOU! -

Le Meridien was a great location for my wedding cocktail hour. We had the Living Room area sectioned off with spillover space into the bar area of the restaurant. The food and drink was great, as was the staffing which catered to everyone's needs. Couldn't have asked for a better location and a better group to help w/ this event. -

If you are looking for a location that overlooks Georgetown and the Potomac river, Le Meridien is perfect. In addition, if you have lots of guest travelling from out of town, the Rosslyn Metro station is a convenient stop as well as the DCA airport.

An absolutely perfect venue for a wedding and reception... the food was excellent although my only complaint is that the presentation of the dishes was different than at the tasting. The cake was SPECTACULAR and was delicious to boot. The Director of Catering and Event Manager waited on us hand and foot, although we should have been more specific about particular details (but if you have an outside wedding planner they could have watched over some of these for you). All in all, a wonderful event which we'll remember forever. -

My mother did not want my wedding in DC (to avoid the traffic and family members possibly getting lost) so when we saw the outside terrace at the Le Meridien, I knew this is where I wanted my wedding to be at. I knew I never wanted a hotel banquet style wedding and the restaurant is beautiful, with big open windows, updated with all new flooring and tables and plush chairs. And the view across the Potomac River cannot be beat. I was worried about the food being boring hotel food since we had to use their on-site catering for the wedding. But to much of my surprise, the food was wonderful. Not just your typically chicken breast with sautéed mixed vegetables. Everyone commented how delicious the food was. The big negative for me was the management and coordinators at the Le Meridien. In the year I was planning my wedding, there were about 3 key coordinators I was working with who had left. This meant that I had to find all my old emails and go-over the same details with the new coordinators since they did not have any of this information in my file. This is meant long delays in responsive times and I often ended up just calling the hotel myself to get an answer after sending multiple follow up emails. You would think they would have a better process to transition wedding accounts. The wedding department was more frustrating to work with their lack of organization and responsiveness. -

The hotel was well priced for my guests. But the front desk staff forgot/delivered very late the "out of town" bags. Also I had arranged for my guests to get breakfast vouchers- but many of guests did not get them at check-in. I would recommend for the price but not the service. -

We did not have our wedding at Le Meridien. Our reception was at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington and could not recommend them enough! We chose Le Meridien for our hotel because of the location. We had a great experience with the sales staff, especially Alison Shuldheis. They were accommodating and responsive. I would give the sales staff 5 stars. Most of our guests were from out of town, so we had about 45 rooms booked. The weekend we got married there were 2 other wedding room blocks plus a wedding reception being held there. If I have one recommendation for Le Meridien, it would be to limit them to 1 room block when they have a wedding reception the same weekend. When I arrived on that Friday at 3:15 my suite was not ready. As the Bride, I expected my suite to be ready. They had not even been in to start cleaning the suite until 4:30. It was not the way I wanted to start my wedding weekend. They seemed very under staffed.Other guests were not able to check in until later and not just from our room block. I had worked with the sales staff to have a lobby bar set up for us for after the wedding reception.I was told this would happen, when we arrived, the bar was being rolled away. When we asked, not one staff member could give an explanation and just told us the bar was closed. The staff was not helpful in telling us why they closed the bar when they said it would be open. We later found out(a week later after my mother finally spoke to management)that the wedding reception there had gotten out of hand so they are legally allowed to stop all alcohol service. No management was called when we were trying to find out why, which was very frustrating.Overall, it is a great value for a room block $109 per night for Rosslyn is a steal and the sales staff was great.I think the front desk staff was rude and not helpful especially with my suite not being ready.I don't think service is their number one priority. I would not recommend this for location for wedding room blocks. -

Don't be fooled by the beautiful venue....
My Fiancé and I hosted a wedding event on October 6th at Le Meridian and while the event went well, I can tell you it was NOT due to the staff at this venue. I have been in customer service management for over 20 years and take pride in building quality relationships versus transactional ones and I understand the challenges that can occur that are unforeseen. With that being said when situations do arise you have an opportunity to rise to the occasion and treat your guests with the same level of service you would want for yourself and I can say that we were woefully disappointed on multiple occasions. We are taking the time to share in detail our challenges from day one so that it may help you to elevate your service levels to equal the quality of your beautiful facility.
We originally began our process of inquiring about your venue and communication with Tamiko Hamiel on April 3rd of 2019. We visited the hotel and sat with Tamiko on April 9th and discussed menu selection, display items and pricing. We tried following up with Tamiko on multiple occasions as we were going to be taking our vacation outside of the country and our last correspondence with her was April 11th. We reached out to the hotel when we returned from our vacation on April 20th but, we were unable to get any results as no one returned our messages. We were finally able to get ahold of Aaron Bailey the Director of Sales and Marketing on April 26th who informed us Tamiko was no longer with the company and that we had fallen through the cracks, not ideal but, we tried to be understanding. He emailed me a proposal and it was not even close to the proposal we had discussed with Tamiko and I informed him of that. We arranged to meet on April 30th at 5pm at the hotel to discuss the proposal and solidify an agreement. Aaron was over 30 minutes late to the meeting, did not apologize for his tardiness and was not prepared for our meeting. After pushing him about the previous discussions we had with Tamiko he went back to his office and returned about 15 minutes later with some notes from Tamiko's computer files with more accurate numbers that we had discussed with her. We did not receive an agreement notice until May 1st, almost an entire month after we began this whole process to which there were still contract errors that Aaron had to fix with dates, times and pricing. We finally signed an agreement and submitted our deposit on May 4th.
On Monday May 6th we reached out to Aaron Bailey to get the coordinator Karen Roesch's' contact information so we could begin the planning process. Aaron responded back that he just turned over the information and that his team would reach out to us within 24-48 hours. After not hearing anything from anyone we reached out and got ahold of Karen on Friday May 10th where Karen emailed us a planning packet and we setup to meet with her on that Thursday May 16th. I also requested to speak with Calvin Ware that morning to discuss my unhappiness with the process and the lack of follow up. When we got to the meeting Karen was there and Calvin stopped in as we were already meeting, completely avoided addressing me and said he had a meeting to attend but we were in good hands with Karen. I do not appreciate Calvin's and his lack of engagement, understanding of his customers concerns or his enthusiasm to resolve issues. How he is a General Manager when he cannot display any form of empathy or customer service is beyond me, but it is reflective of the overall team’s energy. Karen initially was very charming, engaging and knowledgeable which we soon discovered to be her way of covering up her inconsistent communication, and attention to detail. There were multiple issues in the planning process that we had to triple check and send multiple communications for them to resolve. Even after our meetings with Aaron and discussions about the proposal pricing we still had to work with Karen and send her the proposal from Tamiko to get the pricing we agreed to correct. Once we were able to agree on pricing, we scheduled a tasting to go over decor and meal selection for May 30th, that was probably the only seamless event that we had throughout this whole process. One of the first major issues we had to address aside from the contract issues was our room block of 15 rooms that was confirmed to be held for us beginning May 1st and our guests had to book by September 12th. We made all our invitations and sent the booking link out to all our guests who wanted a room for that evening. On June 13th Karen communicated that the hotel had overbooked a conference and that they would not have any rooms for our event, and they would get our event rooms at the Hyatt over 3 blocks away. We informed Karen this was completely unacceptable as we signed a contract and the hotel agreed to this and they needed to resolve this as it was not a problem we created we were not willing to accept that being as we had already sent our invitations and it is what we agreed to in the contract. It took us calling and following up until Karen was finally able to confirm they resolved the room booking issue on June 26th, almost 2 weeks later. As we continued through the planning process, we soon discovered that Karen had a hard time following up and communicating or responding to what she would verbally agree to follow up on. At that point we made sure to send all our requests through email to her to recap verbal conversations and request a follow up response from her that she acknowledged our requests. The next major issue was an arch that was to be on the terrace, Karen had sent us pictures and dimensions of this with our original planning packet on May 16th. We obviously had made arrangements for decorations to the dimensions she provided and had a floral arrangement designed to fit in the top corner. It wasn't until Friday September 27th, a week and a half before our event which was scheduled for October 6th did Karen inform us that the arch we originally were slated to have was damaged and they were unsure if they would even be able to provide an arch for our event at all. Karen was supposed to confirm that they would be able to get an arch that they had for another wedding event the weekend before ours by that Monday October 1st to which we had to follow up with her finally that Tuesday October 2nd as she never got back to us. They were finally able to provide the arch.
From the sales director, sales coordinator and general manager I feel that that team is not very strong or able to properly represent your brand well. The venue is beautiful and that is why we put up with all the failures and inconsistencies of your team throughout the entire process. Even at the event there were glaring things that occurred from the napkins folds we wanted, the bartender leaving her station for extended periods of time, the table decorations being set up incorrectly even after clearly communicating to the coordinator which one of our guests had to help setup properly, the bistro filet being overdone and with the wrong sauce, the cake not being decorated to our specifications and also having to cut the cake with a carving knife as they could not find the cake cutting set they said they would provide for our event, to one of your front staff being rude and unhelpful over the phone when we asked for our wedding certificate that was left with them by my mother to give to us during checkout which they failed to do. As these may seem like small things to some, this was a once in a lifetime event that we wanted to share with our closest family and I would hope that your team can understand the delicacy of your customers’ needs to make sure they go to the length to represent what their customers want and expect from them. I would hope that others who utilize your venue in the future do not have anywhere near the experience we had but because of our desire to utilize your area we were able to make it a lovely event despite the shortfalls of your staff.

First Review May 3, 2020
We stayed four nights & the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was appreciated. The downside, we checked into the hotel to relax and decompress and not to play ring around the room. We had to change rooms twice due to maintenance issues which we felt should have afforded an automatic upgrade offered by the staff to accommodate for the inconvenience that we experienced of having to get redressed and packed up twice to go to several different floors. However, the third room was a charm. Overall the service and experience was great but could have been exceptional.
Second Review May 4, 2020
BEWARE!!! The "General Manager" Hazel is spiteful and vindictive. Yesterday, I left an unfavorable review. Directly after that my card was charged $106. Today, I called Le'Meridian to inquire about the charge. Hazel the "General Manager" informed me that I was charged a cleaning fee, I asked her what for? Hazel stated that housekeeping had to clean up blood in the room. I asked her why wasn't I contacted in regards to this matter before my card was charged? I never received an answer to that question from Hazel. Then, I asked her how can you definintivley determine that what you thought you saw was in fact blood? Do you have a degree in forensic science? Hazel stated that as the "General Manager" she has had biohazard training, REALLY??? I am appalled and offended at Hazel's inaccurate conclusion. Does biohazard training give Hazel permission to accuse without inquiry? How does Hazel know what she that she saw was indeed blood without adequate testing? It seems as if Hazel might be in the wrong profession. As Le'Meridian's "General Manager" Hazel needs more training in resolution and communication. Her overconfidence is distateful and disdainful. This is my second unfavorable review in regard to her unproffesionlism. In the mist of the pandemic that we are all in, unwarranted accusations are never acceptable or appreciated. My husband and I will definitely not be returning to Le'Meridian. We have warned our friends and family not to patronize this hotel from this point on. Le'Meridian has their "General Manager" Hazel to thank for the loss of business.

Hotel Palomar in Arlington is a beautiful hotel with the worst management that I've ever encountered. We chose Hotel Palomar for our after-party location and as our recommended hotel for out-of-town guests to stay in during the wedding weekend. First, the hotel dropped our room reservation 5 times (5 times!) and I am the bride! I had to keep calling back and emailing in order to finally get it right, and even then, they checked us out and locked us out of our room a night early. They also charged our guests multiple incorrect rates, charging some over $300 for a room that was supposed to be at the block rate at half that price. They also couldn't seem to figure out how to charge guests the block rate for some nights and for guests who arrived early or stayed later, a different rate on other nights. They kept checking our guests out early and giving them bills, which was very frustrating and disruptive. The after party experience was even worse. We were promised that the hotel would set up a satellite bar in the lobby/living room that would be open to our 100+ guests until at least 1 AM, if not later. (There was another wedding going on in the main restaurant/bar.) The satellite bar was set up as promised, but then closed up and wheeled away at about 11:15! We were shocked. When we told the management about the mistake we were told many different stories and had to get our wedding planner to try to call the hotel management to fix the situation. She was told a different lie and as it turned out hours later, the hotel had RUN OUT OF ALCOHOL. On a Saturday night. With two wedding parties at the hotel. Unbelievable! I spent my wedding night on the phone and talking to hotel management, as, with no drinks in sight, our guests slowly slipped away. My husband and uncles ran out at 12:45 AM to buy beer from a 7-11 and bring it back to the hotel so our remaining guests would have something to drink. What a nightmare! None of the event managers were anywhere around to help out until the following afternoon. We were furious. The hotel attempted to compensate us for the mistakes, but there really is no way of getting back hours of your wedding night that were totally wasted and guests who had traveled across the country and around the world who you didn't get to talk to because you were dealing with terrible hotel management. Hotel Palomar was the one black spot on our otherwise sterling wedding weekend. Brides, beware -- don't rely on Hotel Palomar for your special event.Le Meridien Arlington's reply:
Thank you for your review. This was a mis communication and we apologized for the delay in service to the wedding party returning back to the hotel. During that evening, we were able to set up a bar. It is always upsetting when things do not go perfect on your wedding day. The wedding did not take place here at the hotel. We have taking additional steps to ratified this issue. Thank you for sharing your feedback and we have corrected how we communicate our hotel bar to stay open for our wedding room block guests. -

My fiance and I really liked this venue for our reception, but the Sales Manager we were working with was unreachable after our initial visit and meeting. We emailed a few days later with some follow up questions, with intention of moving forward with booking. No response. After a week I emailed again, and after two weeks I called and left a voicemail after being told she was "in a sales meeting". She has never gotten back to us. Extremely disappointing and frustrating to have been treated this way, getting blown off with no explanation, but glad to have had this huge red flag raised now rather than after signing a contract. -
