Ashlee Sent on 06/17/2018My husband and I had our wedding on 6/10/18 and we had a lot of guests coming in from out of town, many of them being their very first time in Portland. After looking at a few hotels, we felt that Hotel Rose had the best location and would be great for those wedding day “getting ready” photos as well. Their decor is so adorable and was perfect.
We were also able to get a hotel block rate for our guests which made thing so much easier, and was amazing because the Rose Festival happened to fall on the same weekend of our wedding. Turns out it ended up raining on our wedding day and we were having an outdoor ceremony. Hotel Rose went into their storage, and they let us borrow 25+ umbrellas to bring to our venue that day for our guests! This was one of the most generous acts and we are really forever grateful that we could still enjoy a beautiful outdoor ceremony and our guests were covered with their stay pineapple umbrellas. I am still floored by this, they were so incredibly accommodating to all of our guests too and especially us as the bride and groom.
The entire staff was very accomodating, and to our surprise on our wedding night we were greeted by champagne and chocolate covered strawberries when we got back to our room. Yet another beautiful surprise by the hotel that they didn’t have to do, but made us feel like we made the right choice. We even ended up extending our stay one more night in the suite because we just weren’t ready to go home yet. We are looking forward to our anniversaries to come when we can stay at the Hotel again and re live a magical weekend that we had in June. Thank you again Hotel Rose, this really made was icing on the cupcake. ;) (which by they way they have in the lobby every day as well as a coffee cart, just sayin’ it’s worth it).
