    Highly Recommend!!!

    Where do I even start?!? The entire staff was absolutely amazing to work with but Ernie went above and beyond! We had our wedding (on stage) and reception at the Temple Theater therefore we worked with Horizons. Ernie was so kind and flexible throughout the entire process! We went through Horizons for the flowers, rented the center pieces as well and we were SO happy with how everything looked on the big day! They even created a “lantern scape” on the stage for us because we had a smaller wedding party on such a large stage. The food was absolutely amazing and we had a lot of compliments. We also received multiple compliments about how absolutely everything was on time! With Ernie in charge your day will be perfect and the Temple Theater was a BEAUTIFUL place to have our big day, especially after the Horizons crew set it up for us. Another thing I was very happy with was the fact we were able to see what our tables would look like before the big day. They set up a tasting for us to taste the food we thought we would want served on our big day and had a table set with the linens and centerpieces we had picked so we wouldn’t be worried about how it would look on the wedding day!!! I can’t rave about Ernie and the Horizons crew enough!!! Highly recommend the venue and the staff seals the deal!!!

    Endless compliments on our reception!

    We held our wedding reception at HORIZONS, and everyone there was an absolute joy to work with. Our wedding coordinator made it so that we did not have to worry about a thing. We knew from the beginning that she would take care of everything well for us. The Floral Director puts together stunning decorations and personal floral. We could not have been more pleased with the service and atmosphere they created. The food was fantastic, too! We received compliments all night about how wonderful the reception was, and how beautiful everything looked!

    We had our dream wedding here! Ernie was awesome to work with. The night of the wedding went smoothly and my husband and I were waited on hand and foot. It looked like a fairytale!!

    Where do I start? Celeste, the event coordinator, did a wonderful job of working with me, the mother of the bride, the groom's mother, and the bride and groom. She balanced well the requests and indecision among us! She was patient with us and worked us through everything. The venue for the ceremony and the dinner was absolutely stunning! The uplighting, draping and beading was beautiful! They provided the head table candlescape and we did everything else. They worked well with all our vendors and gave us plenty of room and time. We had different buffet stations. The food was excellent and the servers were attentive. Our guests were happy and we were happy with Horizons and would definitely have another wedding there. I would highly recommend them for your wedding and/or reception.

    From the very beginning, the Horizons coordinators have been there for me every step of the way. They have many selections to choose from when it comes to decor, food and beverage packages. I had decided on a plated dinner for my guests considering the size of my wedding, and I heard nothing but good things from my guests on their staff, service and how amazing the food was! The decor was beautiful! It was like they knew exactly how I wanted things to be played out. Everything went smoothly and would definitely recommend them for future brides-to-be!

    The staff at Horizons made planning our wedding day so much more enjoyable and less stressful. The venue at the Temple Theatre was gorgeous, the food was amazing, and the people we worked with were so friendly and helpful. The entire day was flawless and we have the people at Horizons (especially Alaina) to thank for that. I would highly recommend Horizons to anyone looking for a classy and fun venue with great service.

    Horizons was excellent! The entire staff went above and beyond for me to make my wedding perfect and memorable for all of my guests. They are extremely professional, hard working and highly talented in what they do. They gave me my dream wedding, and would recommend them to anyone!

    Excellent venue for a wedding! Highly organized and accommodating. Wedding ceremony and reception were beautiful! The staff did all the work for us. We just told them what we wanted and with their vast experience they helped us plan a wedding we couldn't imagine any better.

    Our wedding coordinator and staff did an AMAZING job. We were blown away with how everything turned out, it's was more than we could have ever imagined. Our guests raved about the decor, food, and how attentive the event staff was to every guests needs. It was elegant and classy! Thank you to Ernie, Michelle, Bob, and the rest of the Horizons staff!!!!!!

    We would highly recommend the Horizons Conference Center! Our reception design and flowers were absolutely beautiful! The entire planning process was very professional and smooth. Ernie was our wedding coordinator and he was amazing! I was very pleased with how organized everything and everyone was. The food was fantastic! We are still getting compliments :)

    Everything was amazing! However, always double check your billing invoice! Those who work there don't know math well and might over bill you! So double or triple check your final statement. They really should be using Excel for their invoices. It should help their math issue. Why they haven't yet is beyond me.

    I got my wedding invitations from Horizons and I was very pleased. We got to look through so many samples to see which layout and design we liked best. They helped with wording and proofing of the invitations as well. We got very beautiful invitations without having to spending a lot of money. After we placed our order, we got them in so quickly! I would recommend getting invitations from Horizons!

    I also got all of my flowers from Horizons. They were very beautiful and very full! I got my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, flower girl wand, boutonnires and center pieces and was very pleased. I had shown Michelle, the florist, photos of what I was looking for and she had great ideas and suggestions to use similar flowers that were in season at the time of my wedding. I really appreciated her thoughts and she did a wonderful job!

    Awesome! They did a FABULOUS job!! I was extremely pleased with the food, decorating, and flowers. They listened to everything I said and put it all together to achieve the look that I wanted. They went above and beyond and were very attentive. I felt like queen getting waited on!

    We had a wedding reception at the Horizons Conference Center, and they had absolutely wonderful service. They had a few people check on us specifically during the entire evening to make sure we had everything we need (food, drinks, etc.) They handled all the details, and the place was decorated beautifully.

    We worked with the Horizon Center for our Reception at the Temple Theatre. They made it incredibly easy and everyone was friendly. And the catering was super too.

    Ernie inherited a rough spot after our coordinators changed, but he did everything he could to make it right. He and the entire organization are stand-up people, and through the turmoil of the changeover, they worked hard to ensure that we were happy.

    We used Horizons for our reception venue. They did all of our decorating for the reception as well as the church. We also used them for flowers. They were absolutely amazing. They worked with all of our need and were willing to help us with any questions we had. They allowed us several taste testings for dinner as well as appetizers. It is a bit expensive but worth the money.

    I have no regrets with picking this venue for my ceremony and reception. They tried their best to make sure all my needs were met. They are pricy but with planning and a budget. It's possible ?

    The location was beautiful and the workers were very helpful. A little on the expensive side for the location. Food was awesome!

    Very professional workers at horizons. They give you your own personal wedding coordinator at no charge. The food is great tasting. We had so many compliments on the food at our wedding. One negative is that the floral & decorating option is quite pricey.

    Excellent facility! Great attention to detail. They really went out of their way to make the day special. A little pricey but worth it!! Some difficulty contacting our coordinator via e-mail but she always responded to phone calls.

    Great day of service, not great experience planning

    My husband and I got married on October 9th at the Temple Theatre in Saginaw. Horizons Conference Center is partnered with Temple Theatre to provide wedding services and catering. The day of our wedding was absolutely amazing. My reception was flawless with no hiccups. The food was amazing (many guests complimented it). The waitstaff on the day of my wedding was top notch, great service, and very friendly.

    However, the year of planning leading up to our wedding was nothing a bride should ever have to experience.

    After we had locked in Temple Theatre as our venue, unfortunately our wedding coordinator had left. We were put in contact with the VP of Horizons Conference Center who would act as our wedding coordinator. Leading up to the wedding, we would have calls with her, and every phone conversation we had she would state incorrect information that she had about our wedding. One conversation, she asked us when we wanted to schedule our tasting (when we had already met with her and had our tasting two months prior). Another conversation, she had the incorrect information on our tablecloths choice, napkin choice, and centerpiece decisions. We had multiple conversations where she had the wrong information down about our wedding and we had to correct her. Even as soon as a month before our wedding, we had conversations with her and she had information that we were doing a buffet meal, and that was never something we considered! Also, she thought we were having our ceremony at Temple Theatre as well, when we have always had a separate ceremony location! I was called the wrong name, I was told that she had everything written down and noted and that she didn’t need the notes we provided, but then the information she had written down was incorrect. I truly feel that every detail was somehow incorrect.

    A week before our wedding, we still did not have a clear answer on when we could decorate the Temple Theatre. We were told that it’s because Horizons Conference Center can’t control the Temple Theatre events, and it’s completely in their hands to tell Horizons when you can set up. If that is the case, we never would have booked Temple Theatre if we would have known we can’t set up until the day of our Wedding.

    As a bride I felt incredibly unsettled and not confident that anything was going to be correct for our wedding.

    During our wedding reception, it came to our attention that the waitstaff did not receive gratuity. We specifically asked during our meetings with the wedding coordinator if we should set out a tip jar for the waitstaff, and were told that it wasn’t necessary, that there is a 20% service charge that goes to them. Well the day of our wedding, we were told by the waitstaff that the 20% service charge did not go to them.

    I do not want a Bride to go through this experience like I have. Our wedding coordinator had mentioned to us over and over again that she was the only employee managing weddings. While we understand it was the perfect storm of situations because of the pandemic, as a Bride hearing that over and over again does not make you feel comfortable.

    We repeatedly told our wedding coordinator things that continued to be incorrect in future conversations. If we would've known that we were going to go through such panic, misinformation, and worry during our wedding planning process, we never would've booked this venue.
