  The perfect way to do a Savannah wedding.

  Our carriage for our wedding was perfect! Felix (the horse) was not only tall, dark, and handsome, he stood patiently for a few pics for our album. The carriage was decorated beautifully and made it so special for the photos. They were extremely accommodating - my husband wanted his best friends to be able to ride with him to the church and to the reception. By best friends, I don't mean his two buddies that are like brothers to him, I mean our three dogs. Historic Savannah Carriage Tours was extremely affordable, very friendly, and really made the experience fantastic. I look forward to having another carriage ride with them when we visit beautiful Savannah again.

  My husband and I took a 2 hour carriage ride right after our wedding in Columbia Square, in May. It was the perfect way to relax between the ceremony and reception, and see all of the historic and beautiful sites in Savannah. Michelle F and Jake the horse, were our guides. Michele was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating and took us on a wonderful ride. After the ride, she took us back to the hotel in time to freshen up and then dropped us off at the Old Pink House for our reception, where all of our guest were waiting outside to see us arrive in style. We plan on taking another tour next year when we come back for our anniversary.

  Such a fun extra for my wedding day! She picked me up a little early, but made sure to have me at the ceremony site at the exact time. Every call in was very pleasant, they understood every request that was made. The ride was pleasant and we even got a little bit of a history lesson! I love Savannah and this completed my Savannah wedding! Thank you for the wonderful ride and entrance to my ceremony!

  One of the favorite parts of my wedding day...so much fun, Robert was wonderful and even pointed out some interesting sites on the way to Whitefield Square.

  Historic Savannah Carriage Tours provided us a wedding carriage, which transported me and my matron of honor to the ceremony, and then took myself and my new husband on a tour of the city after the ceremony, which ended at our reception. They arranged to pick me up one square away from our ceremony site so I could make my grand entrance. The carriage was gorgeous, and had been decorated with flowers for the wedding, our driver was very professional and kind, and Mr. Bennett, our horse, did a lovely job of pulling us around the city. This was a really special part of the day for me, and I would recommend them to anyone marrying in Savannah.

  The service that we recieved from the actual carriage driver was outstanding. He did a wonderful job and we really enjoyed our carriage ride from the ceremony to reception venue. The carriage and horse, Prince were beautiful and the driver was very sweet and very professional.
  The process of getting information and pricing, booking and paying for the service was a little off. I just felt that this was not handled as professionally as it could have been. I always felt like I was catching someone on the phone who was unprepared, emails went unanswered etc.. However, I do not want that to take away from the fact that the actual carriage ride was fantastic.
  So once you get everything booked and paid for, you're in for a treat :)

  When we booked on the phone with Savannah Carriage, they were very pleasant, and promised everything we wanted which was the wedding package. This package entails a private tour for two for 45 mins around downtown Savannah in a carriage that is decorated for the wedding with flowers, and a well dressed driver. The pictures I had seen online showed a man in tails and even a top hat as the driver. I booked three weeks out for this package. When we were leaving our reception to get on our carriage ride, our driver was a young girl in jeans and a sloppy t-shirt which is now forever a part of our wedding portraits. Very disappointed. When I saw this out the window before getting on the carriage I called the company to ask what their excuse was. The girl who answered the phone told me the driver was not given enough notice it would be wedding package. I explained that was a lie seeing as I booked three weeks out. I told the girl I also expected to be called and reimbursed the following day. She told me the owner would contact me the next day. Naturally, the owner never called, so I had to call her the following afternoon on my honeymoon. The owner did lower the charge which made me happy, but I wish I could have enjoyed a properly dressed driver in our portraits. Despite the frustration, the carriage ride itself was very romantic and we loved it. We were driven around Savannah for 45 minutes and heard many people in the squares and around town yell out, "Congratulations!" All in all 4 stars for the beautiful ride, but lack of attention to detail for such a monumental event.

  Let me preface this review by saying that the carriage driver and the ride by itself was fantastic, an that is why I rate the Quality of Service with all 5 stars. The ride was beautiful, romantic and everything that I dreamed of for a fantasy wedding. The driver was incredibly friendly and professional.
  
  The problem that I had with the carriage company is the way they handled themselves the next day. Unknowingly, our ride went over 15 minutes, most likely from having photos taken after the ceremony. We had no idea, because who looks at their watch during their wedding? The carriage had picked us up at our B&B, dropped us off at Forsyth Park, then picked us up after the wedding to take us to our reception venue. All in all we were in the carriage MAYBE 20-30 minutes, while the driver waited on us during the ceremony and photos.
  
  When we were picked up by the carriage driver after the ceremony, our wedding coordinator mentioned to the driver that we were running a little bit late, and the driver said not to worry about it. The next day we receive a call from our coordinator that we had been charged an additional $130 for an additional hour, even though we had only gone over 15 minutes. Had we known on the day of the wedding that we would be charged for the additional hour, we would have taken advantage of more time in the carriage, but by the time we found out the next day, it was too late. They never offered to prorate the 15 minutes or anything. Our wedding coordinator was the middle party in dealing with the carriage company, so we were a third party in the transaction.
  
  Not many people can say that their wedding day was perfect, but I can truly say that nothing at all went wrong on my wedding day, with the exception of the extra charge that we were informed of the next day.
