    Amazing wedding venue!

    This is a beautiful, full service venue w/ great staff! We worked with Adam for almost 2 years to realize our special day at the Club. Adam did a fabulous job walking us through the planning process and ensuring the day went without a hitch. We could not be happier with how things turned out ☺️

    The Perfect Wedding Venue

    I knew when I first got engaged I wanted to get married at the Highlands. It’s historic, has beautiful natural scenery and doesn’t look like your normal cookie cutter wedding venue with tons of character. From the very beginning Adam and team were so accommodating and help especially during Covid. We really felt taken care of here and wouldn’t think twice to recommend. The whole day went seamless and that’s because Adam is such a professional. I feel so blessed to say the big day was magical and mean it. The food was great and all of our guests raved how beautiful the venue was. With all the stress of planning a wedding, Highlands really went about and beyond to ensure absolute perfection for our big day.

    Dream Wedding Venue!

    My fiancé and I had a very limited budget going into our wedding but of course I still wanted to have the wedding I always dreamed of. The Highlands delivered that and MORE. The food was great, we had a full open bar with a cocktail hour and full plated dinner. The venue is beautiful with old world charm and none of the icky wedding venue vibes. You never feel like you are getting married on a golf course (which we were worried about). You cannot see cars or the road from the venue which makes you feel properly secluded while surrounded by the rolling mountains in the hudson valley. The staff at the venue including Adam the venue manager were amazing beyond words. The run a tight ship but you never feel that you are being rushed or pressured. They kept everything running smoothly even in the midst of a little family emergency that happened 2 hours before our ceremony! All our guests were so impressed with the venue and staff. The could not have been more attentive to myself and my husband keeping us fed and getting us drinks. We didnt want for anything that day! It was just perfect and a pleasure working with them in the months leading up to the wedding.

    Wonderful Venue

    So happy we had our wedding at The Highlands. Here's why you might want to too:

    The Staff - From Day 1, I could count on reliable and helpful responses to all of my email communication. All of our in-person meetings in advance of the day were not only thorough and productive, but fun! Adam is a star and our bridal attendant Richard was ready the entire night for whatever we needed. The staff is all Culinary Institute trained, have been doing this for years, and it shows.

    Food - Generous and delicious. One of the couples who attended our reception go to 10+ weddings each year, and they commented that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. It was also really helpful to be able to sit down with the staff in advance and talk through our menu choices. Bonus points for the complimentary cheese board and champagne served in the bridal suite!

    Cost - We felt that the cost was incredibly reasonable and appreciated that everything comes included. Another local venue was charging a site fee which cost the same as our entire package at The Highlands. You get open bar + appetizer + dinner + CAKE + staff + the space and furniture and accents, all included.

    Convenience - Everything is onsite and taken care of.
    During the venue-hunting phase, I was in talks with another space which provided only the building + furniture. I would have had to hire a separate caterer, who required further alcohol fees and also encouraged renting an additional oven. With Highlands, you're dealing with one experienced team, with fully equipped facilities onsite.

    Opportunities for personalization and flexibility - Click through photos and you can see how versatile the place is. We really liked how the different spaces (ballroom, bar, solarium) flow together. Our wedding was on the small side, with 50 guests, so the team set up a lovely lounge area with plush furniture in front of the fireplace. The cubbies are a unique touch: we filled them with photo frame escort cards for the guests, but I've seen pictures of all different designs. And of course there are all different ways you might decorate the fireplace mantels, cocktail tables, and dining tables.

    And one last time, The Staff - I truly can't say enough good things about the team there. When my mom forgot to bring the corsages to the church, bridal attendant Richard drove a half hour to deliver them. (We didn't even ask, he saw they'd been left behind and was on his way). Then Richard also taught me a trick on how to hide tissues in your hand while carrying your bouquet. At the reception, the bartenders had orange juice on hand for the kids so they wouldn't feel left out, and served the orange juice in cups with lids. These small things make a huge difference, made the day run so smoothly. We didn't need to worry; they had everything taken care of.

    Amazing experience at the Highlands!

    We were married in 3/30/19 at the Highlands. If I could give 500 stars I would! Every single second of our day was amazing. It has been almost a month since the wedding and I have guests still telling me daily how amazing everything was. The venue staff, Adam and his team are incredibly meticulous. Every single detail was perfect. The food was amazing. The entire planning process was seamless. Adam was incredibly responsive to all my emails with numerous questions and offered suggestions wherever needed.
    We were able to fit all 136 guests in the main room which was very important to me. The dance floor is smaller this way but it didn’t impact the experience, if anything we felt it encouraged more dancing because the dance floor always looked packed! We also were able to fit a 7 piece band.
    Our ceremony was indoors in the solarium, which is just such a beautiful room. The sun was setting during the ceremony and the photos are amazing. There was access to the fire pits on both sides of the venue. I had guests spread throughout the venue the entire night. There was something for everyone; whether you wanted to be in the tavern having a drink, or sitting by a fire pit, they really enjoyed having these options as they were not limited to one space in the venue.
    Additionally, we were blessed with the most amazing bridal assistant, Richard. I’ve never met anyone more fabulous at their job. I didn’t know the extent to which the bridal assistant would be helping until the day of. He literally told me everything that was happening or going to be happening in real time, so I did not miss out on anything. He made sure we enjoyed our dinner and always had a drink in our hand. He managed our bridal party while we were on site and did everything from responding rapidly to our numerous requests for orange juice and champagne, driving us in the golf cart to take photos, fixing my cake topper when I was unhappy with how the flowers on cake were blocking it, to figuring out a French bustle, I cannot say enough thank yous for Richard !
    Everything was perfect! Do not hesitate booking your wedding at the highlands it is worth every penny!

    Most Accommodating Team

    My husband and I decided on Highlands not only because it had a gorgeous aesthetic, great price, and near our favorite town Cold Spring, but because Ivan and his team was extremely accommodating to all the changes I wanted to do. I decided to get married in the ball room, instead of outside or the solarium, I wanted a late night snack instead of a ton of apps, and I wanted to change the timeline a little. They went above and beyond! They also allow open flame, and I had a TON of candles which made my whole wedding. Everyone I talked to said that it was the most gorg venue they have been to. The only one thing to consider is where to take pictures, they have golf sometimes going on during the wedding, so you cant have access to the whole grounds. But we were able to use the barn-area and the pictures were perfect (we also didnt do a first look so we had to do picture on the grounds). Everything went off without a hitch. Ivan is amazing and his team is amazing. They packed everything up and had it ready to be picked up in the morning - SUPER easy and accommodating. It was nice to not worry about my venue, and they worked great with my vendors needs as well. Can't recommend enough!

    Amazing in Every Way

    There is not a single complaint I could even potentially come up with. Ivan and Adam are perfect at their job. They made everything so simple and they helped me to make the ceremony and reception of my dream. Richard the bridal assistant was literally amazing. He calmed me down when I was scared and shaking. He doted on my husband and I for everything. Literally they were the best ever. 10/10 would recommend.
    The venue is amazing and gorgeous, even if it was a bit muddy due to a ton of rainy days in a row. The chandelier is perfect to have your first dance under. We got married in the solarium and it was stunning. It is so perfectly rustic.

    Amazing venue for great price!

    Where to start? Highlands Country Club takes your breathe away the minute you pull in. The space has so much charm and is very versatile. We were unable to take advantage of the gorgeous grounds on our wedding day because it rained all day long but Ivan and his team made everything work and we forgot how much we wanted to use the outdoor space. When I tell people everything that was included in our price -- food, booze, setup, catering, cocktail hour and our wedding cake -- they are shocked. When something is that affordable, a couple may wonder -- so what's the catch? But there wasn't. The food was impeccable and the room transformed into our wedding vision seamlessly. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and the bartenders were *very* generous in their pours. The main ballroom accommodates about 120 guests, so if your wedding is bigger, just know that you'll have some guests in the side room called the Solarium. We didn't mind this but a few of our guests did, so think hard about who you'll be putting in that room. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a quaint, rustic and above all, romantic wedding venue.

    Wow, wow, wow. My husband and I were not excited at the thought of having a wedding, but we decided to explore a few venues and see if anything felt right. As soon as we stepped foot on the property of HCC, we felt so at home. The grounds are beautiful, the farm to table food is RIDICULOUSLY good (almost all of my guests took the time to say how much they enjoyed it), the entire set up is just insanely gorgeous. It was the perfect place for a smaller, intimate wedding of about 70. It was just completely cozy but still so fun. All that said, IVAN AND RICHARD are the reason to book here. From the day we met Ivan at our planning meeting to the day of the wedding, he made my dreams come true. I felt so at peace. He was on top of EVERYTHING and I mean everything. I am a total control freak about the way things look, and the way he set up everything just blew me away. Richard, too, was just by my side when I needed him. I love those two, and will never forget how they made me feel.

    We were so incredibly happy with our wedding at HCC. Ivan and his staff were spectacular, attentive to every little detail so that we didn't have to worry on our wedding day. My bridal attentant made sure we had everything we needed/wanted the entire day! Throughout wedding planning, Ivan was professional, responsive, and detail oriented. Ivan came to HCC two months before our wedding, and what could have been stressful and daunting ended up being a wonderful change; he was able to pick up right where our previous coordinator left off and we felt so lucky to have him! He and the entire HCC staff went above and beyond our expectations!

    Highlands Country Club was the perfect choice for our winter wedding. I’ll try to summarize by highlighting some things that were important to my husband and me when choosing a venue. We wanted the evening to feel more like an intimate dinner party than a production, and the coziness of Highlands gave us just that. We loved the rustic yet elegant vibe. The grounds are beautiful for photos (even in the snowstorm that we had on our wedding day!). The solarium was a stunning space for our indoor ceremony, with views of the grounds and twinkle lights to set the romantic scene. The transition to cocktail hour and then the reception was seamless. The tavern space and converted solarium were put to good use by our older guests who wanted to chat instead of dance. The food is amazing! Don’t worry at all about not getting a tasting— all of our guests raved about their delicious meals. Danielle and her team are excellent at their jobs. Planning and coordinating with her was so easy, and the bridal attendant made me feel like royalty all day. Having so much included in the packages they offer is a huge help for planning, and having researched many venues from NYC to the Catskills, Highlands is an incredibly affordable option considering all that’s included. We highly recommend this gorgeous gem!

    Danielle and her team are amazing. Leading up to the wedding, Danielle was very responsive and she answered every single one of my questions (there were a lot of them!).

    We got married in November 2017 and the day was seamless from beginning to end. From Danielle's team putting up all the decorations to making sure we had all the food/drinks we wanted, everything was perfect! All the food was delicious. Our guests kept telling us they had so much fun. Because it was a crisp fall night, the fireplaces were going and it just made everything so warm and cozy. My husband and I agree it was the best night of our lives!

    If you're looking for a unique, intimate, and elegant venue, then I would highly recommend HCC.

    From the moment we walked in to Highlands Country Club, met Danielle West, saw the gorgeous chandelier and grand fireplaces, we knew this was the one. Danielle was so great to work with, responsive, professional and so amazing at what she does. Our wedding was flawless, it was beautiful and just the way I pictured it but even better. We went with recommended vendors and It was so nice because they knew each other and we just knew that we were in good hands. Highlands hosts only one wedding at a time, which we loved. We got married on November 11, 2017, it ended up being freezing cold so we moved the ceremony indoors and the transition of space was seamless. Having the fire going in the bar area, and the fire pits outside were nice touches that the guests, and we, really loved. Our guests were so impressed and had an amazing time. The food was so delicious. We loved that the staff was so attentive to us and our bridal party, making sure we ate and had anything we needed. The cake from Pastry Garden was delicious and stunning. We would do it all over again and wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you Danielle for making our day truly amazing!!

    We knew Highlands was our venue as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere was unlike any other - the greenery, the firepits, the ballroom with fireplaces and wooden floors, the solarium, the tavern with cubbyholes to display pictures - I could go on and on about all the unique details that make this place stand out. In addition to the space itself, our coordinator Danielle was incredible. She answered all our questions and was so open to our ideas - including switching food and drink options, bringing in an outside ice cream vendor, and letting us supply things ourselves to save money. She was also very honest about extras that we did not need. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly and my bridal assistant Connie was wonderful. Family and friends are still complimenting our day!

    I do not know where to begin... Danielle is exceptional - a true professional with an amazingly fun yet calming personality. Every staff member we worked with from start to finish made us feel SO incredibly special on our big day. Every single detail was executed with flawless attention and so many of our guests raved about how it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The room makes you feel as though you are celebrating in an intimate, home-like space, yet it was large enough to accommodate our 140-person guest list, plus 7 piece band! The food was some of the best we've ever had and the grounds are impeccable. The candle-light and fireplaces warmed the space effortlessly and the chandelier is a stunning and elegant centerpiece. We simply could not have been any more pleased with selecting the Highlands for our venue!

    We got married at the Highlands on 10/14/17 and our wedding day was nothing short of perfect! My husband and I were looking for a smaller venue for our 100 people wedding and also wanted a place that was rustic and elegant and Highlands was the perfect choice. There is only one event a day so they really put their focus and attention in making sure the event is perfect and really feels like you. Our wedding coordinator was Danielle and I don't have enough words to say how incredible she is! We had a lot of requests and personalization for our wedding - between the food, the decor and our desserts and she was so flexible with all our requests. She truly is the sweetest and was such a pleasure to work with during our planning process. Connie was the day of assistant and was also super sweet and helpful the day of! I was originally worried about the food since there was no tasting but our guests keep raving about how delicious everything was (I tried the appetizers and they were delicious!). We really did have the best night of our lives and have Highlands and Danielle to thank for this incredible day and memory!

    My husband and I don't even know where to begin when it comes to praising the Highlands Country Club for our AMAZING wedding last weekend. From the beginning, the entire journey was nothing short of a joy. We worked directly with Danielle who was always VERY responsive, communicative, and helpful with everything when it came to the planning. She literally took care of everything. On the actual wedding day, Danielle and Connie (the bridal attendant) were wonderful, calm, and attentive to everyones needs. My family and friends kept saying during the wedding "you and your husband are so calm!" Its because Danielle and the staff allowed us to enjoy every single moment and not get caught up in any extra details. We are endlessly grateful for the wedding day experience that she and the Highlands provided to us. We will cherish it forever.

    Also, we have to mention the actual beauty of the venue. The venue is gorgeous, it barely needed any decorations because it speaks for itself. We ended up getting married in the Solarium because it was rainy and cold the morning of our wedding. We weren't even disappointed because every inch of this venue is breathtaking. Also, the food was DELICIOUS.

    We can't say enough about this place. If you are debating between a few different venues, I'm telling you to pick this one. You will not regret it. Thank you Highlands again for everything!

    My daughter's wedding was there this past weekend on 9/9/17. I cannot say enough about this venue, Danielle, Stephanie and the entire Highlands CC team. First, the venue. It is so beautiful. It was exactly what my daughter & son-in-law wanted. The food was delicious. The staff so friendly and professional. Danielle was so accommodating, even when we had last minute changes. There just aren't enough words to explain how happy I am with HCC. I highly recommend this venue if you want something that is not cookie-cutter, more on the elegant, yet understated type venue. Thank you Danielle and HCC team for bringing daughter & son-in-law's dream wedding to life.

    My husband and I got married here on September 8th 2017 and when I say our wedding was perfect I mean it was PERFECT. The staff executed my vision exactly as I would have myself. I truly felt at ease the entire night and I was able to be present on my day like so many brides aren't able to be because they handled everything. Connie was absolutely amazing! I had several people tell us that this was the best wedding they've ever been to and that the venue was timeless and beautiful. I am so thankful to the the staff at Highlands for making my dream come true and for making my year and a half of endless planning feel worth every minute.

    My wife and I were married at Highlands Country Club in Garrison, NY in June 2017 and we had an outstanding experience! We worked with Bridget and Danielle in planning our event and both made the experience very easy and stress-free for us. When it came to the day of, the preparations were all spot on and everything went off without a hitch. The ballroom and outdoor spaces were the perfect size for our guests (about 80), and everyone had a great time. The food, wine, and cocktails were all excellent. Connie, our assistant for the day, really did a great job taking care of us, making sure we had everything we needed and always keeping a fresh drink in our hands! We would highly recommend Highlands Country Club for a NYC area wedding when you are looking for a good mix of modern and rustic touches, and are expecting ~80-100 guests.

    My husband and I celebrated our marriage at Highlands Country Club two weekends ago and cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. Everything went so smoothly and we received so many compliments on the venue. Everyone always had plenty of food and the drinks were constantly flowing. The level of professionalism of the entire staff of Highlands is unmatched. Working with Danielle was a complete dream. She made the whole process so seamless and was so accommodating. Not to mention the venue is absolutely stunning! I highly recommend it!

    I knew I wanted something unique and beautiful for my wedding and I was so happy when I found Highlands Country Club! We worked with Danielle who was attentive and so sweet throughout the whole process. The main reception area has a large ballroom with two large working fireplaces on either end (how pretty would that be for a fall/winter wedding!) and a beautiful chandelier in the center (think a Jane Austen-style ball). We had planned to have the wedding outside on the lawn but due to weather we had it indoors in the atrium and I actually think that I preferred having it there! This is the perfect place if you want an outdoor wedding ceremony but are too OCD to handle the chance that the weather could be bad (that's me!). The atrium was beautiful- little candles strung about and the soft drum of the rain made it feel intimate and so personal. The food was delicious and guests kept commenting to us on how nice everyone was that worked there. I loved this location for its historic feel and would have literally moved into it if possible- it was that beautiful! Thank you again to Danielle and her team- they made the day flow flawlessly!!

    We held our wedding at the Highlands and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. The Winter Wedding package was an amazing deal. It included the cake, food and drinks. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS!! All of our guests are still raving about it months later. The staff is top notch. Bridget and Connie were on top of everything from the moment I booked the venue to the moment our buses departed back to the hotel at the end of the night. We had an unexpected snow storm and they really managed everything perfectly. The venue itself is so beautiful and has such an intimate feel. It's great that you are the only event taking place. I can't say it enough that our wedding was perfect and a huge part of that was this venue. They also recommended all of the other vendors that we used and they were also amazing.

    Our wedding was truly the best night of our lives, all thanks to Danielle, Connie, and the staff at Highlands Country Club!! Every aspect had such precision to detail that left our guests impressed throughout the night and us in awe at how perfect the day was. We held our ceremony and reception at the venue. Our event coordinator, Danielle's calm demeanor and meticulous attention made the entire process leading up to our wedding genuinely easy, and made the day absolutely wonderful and enjoyable! The bridesmaids, my mom, and I had the the bridal suite all day to get ready - we were catered to throughout the day by our bridal assistant, Connie, who truly left no detail unattended. Throughout the night, our parents tables and head table had specialized attention. We received many compliments from guests, not only on the beauty of the space, but the exceptional service of the entire staff.

    My husband and I were married December 30, 2016, and I could not be happier with the service, food, and entire package that Highlands Country Club had to offer. It was the perfect, elegant yet rustic venue for a winter wedding. Bridget Bell and her awesome team made our day spectacular, and for a super reasonable cost. They worked with me every step of the way, and really took the stress of the "little things" off of my plate. And the guests raved about the food. Overall, I cannot recommend Highlands Country Club more. Truly classy.

    I can't say enough good things about Danielle and Highlands Country Club. My husband and I were married there in December and it was a magical, perfect experience. They made the evening so much fun for the two of us, and our guests had an absolute blast. From the early planning stages, Danielle was accommodating, helpful, incredibly kind and understanding during this hectic time, and gave us some excellent advice along the way. The package was a great value too, and we got a beautiful venue, amazing food, and outstanding staff to make our wedding day the best. I am still getting comments on how wonderful the solarium was during the ceremony, at night, with all the twinkle lights and candles....I wish I could do it all over again!!

    I could not possibly have better things to say about Highlands Country Club as our wedding venue if I tried. The service, the location, the ambiance, the food, the SERVICE AGAIN. Bridgette was a bride's dream to work with as was the entire staff. My husband and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding without stress or worry because everyone there, lead by Bridgette, were 100% on point with everything. So so so happy with our choice. Worth every single penny spent.

    My husband and I got married at the highlands this September. Everything about our big day was perfect! We had booked the venue a year and a couple months out since we were moving across the country and would be planning everything from Seattle. Despite being far away from the venue, we never stressed since we knew we were in good hands. We worked with Danielle West through the entire planning process. She was always super responsive to our endless list of one off questions. She also provided great recommendations for our rehearsal dinner (Aroma Osteria) and a make up artist (Marisa Verdi). She was super flexible and helped us find a time for us to coordinate a visit to the venue for both families when we were back on the east coast, despite being right around the Christmas holidays. I also suprised my husband with a photobooth for our wedding and Danielle helped me keep the surprise a secret, never letting it slip in our group planning conversations :)

    The day before the wedding my mom and I dropped off a box of knick knacks/decor for the wedding the next day. When I arrived at the wedding venue the next day everything was set up perfectly! Danielle and our day of attendant Connie were fabulous and kept everyone at ease throughout the day. We didn't have to stress about a thing! All of our guests raved about the venue and loved taking advantage of all the side party areas that the venue provides like the outdoor fire pits. We couldn't have been happier with how the day turned out and would recommend the Highlands and Danielle's services to anyone!

    I found a picture of the Highlands Country Club in a magazine and knew immediately this is where I wanted to get married. My husband and I both fell in love with it when we visited. Our wedding was perfect. Nothing went wrong. It is a gorgeous setting for an outdoor ceremony, the ballroom is beautiful, and everything went exactly as planned. We had 110 guests and received MANY raving reviews. Most of our guests loved the flow of being able to be inside and dance, sit in the solarium, or enjoy the weather outside by the fire pits. Our wedding was not the cookie cutter, traditional wedding- it was unique and special! Many thanks to the staff at Highlands Country Club, they do a fantastic job!

    I cannot say enough good things about the Highlands. They made our wedding day so memorable and special. I am so, so glad we choose the Highlands for our wedding day and I absolutely loved how everything turned out. From the beginning, Danielle was patient, attentive, detail-oriented and just overall awesome. I left a lot of things to the last minute, but she was patient and accommodating throughout. On the day of, all the staff was so attentive, professional, and personable, and I didn't have to worry about anything and could enjoy the day. Connie was my bridal assistant and she was so thoughtful, warm, and attentive (she had every little detail covered). Our guests liked the venue as well, especially the outdoor area and the s'mores we had for dessert. If you're thinking about the Highlands, go for it!

    Where to start...We just got married at Highlands Country Club on July 1 and it was the most incredible day. Not only is the venue itself absolutely beautiful, the staff and coordinators were amazing! Danielle West was our coordinator and from the start, she made planning effortless. She guided us through the process, took care of coordinating so many details of the day, and never made any question seem silly. Everything we discussed, came alive on our day and she truly made it happen. On the wedding day, we also had a bridal assistant and Danielle's assistant with us and they were so nice, attentive and present the entire time. Everything was seamless- even when we had some weather challenges impose on our original plans for the day. The whole morning was sunny and beautiful, we got to take all of our photos outside however, we had a tornado warning at the time of the ceremony! The ceremony was set up to be outside, but last minute we were told we had to move it indoors. At first they couldn't fit our chuppah inside, but they went above and beyond to make it happen so we could get married in the solarium- which ended up being so incredibly beautiful and we are actually happier it ended up being inside! It poured during the ceremony which was magical and just when we started reading our vows, the sun came through and lit up the whole room! Danielle and her staff went out of their way to set up cocktail hour outside again once the storm passed. You really can't find this kind of service anywhere!!! It really felt like they were doing everything they could to make our dreams and wishes come true. Our guests, from our family, parents friends and our friends, have repeatedly told us it was one of the most beautiful, seamless and fun weddings they have ever been too!! It truly was such an amazing day and we cannot thank everyone at HCC enough for making it happen. We HIGLY HIGHLY recommend this venue.

    I got married at the Highlands Country Club on June 4, 2016. It's safe to say that my wedding was absolutely perfect, and a huge part of that was because of the staff. We worked with Bridget from the day we saw the venue (and fell in love with it), and she had been nothing but attentive and extremely helpful since the first day. She was very responsive to my (many) emails whenever I had questions. Bridget was so accommodating with everything my husband and I had asked her. Any time we had a request, Bridget always made it work. The day of the wedding, we were introduced to a bridal assistant who was there to help the wedding party whenever we needed, and she was also very helpful. Every guest we had at our wedding raved about how great of a time they had - the food was delicious. The salmon was SO GOOD and I heard a few people say the steak was some of the best they've had. Food is very, very important to my husband and I, and we were so happy with the how good the food was. The beautiful scenery is what attracted us to the HCC in the first place. Something that makes this venue stand out amongst others is the fact that we had a s'mores station with fire pits! My husband and I are very much into the outdoors (especially camping), and the s'mores was a huge hit with our friends and family. We didn't have one single negative thing to say about our experience with the Highlands Country Club. We highly recommend it! :)

    Our daughter and son-in-law had an absolutely perfect wedding thanks to Danielle and her entire staff. We were able to hold the ceremony and cocktail hour outside, which made for a perfect setting. The ballroom was beautifully decorated for the reception with comfortable seating and a huge dance floor. The food was five-star, beginning with the delicious appetizers, the apple soup and the main meal. The wait staff presented the food in an entertaining way. We have not one negative comment; truly top-notch from beginning to end. Over the past year we found Danielle to be collaborative, honest, helpful with suggestions/recommendations, attentive to detail and a true pleasure to work with.

The place is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were excellent. My wedding coordinator Bridget, her assistant Molly and the entire staff were so professional and made sure everything was executed the way I wanted it. They made my wedding day a dream come true.     My husband and I fell in love with this venue while attending a wedding. This is the only place we looked at after getting engaged. The outdoor space is gorgeous and the ballroom is beautiful. We did end up having the ceremony in the atrium due to rain and even the atrium is beautiful and a perfect plan B. There's a huge and charming bridal suite upstairs with air conditioning and a private bathroom. Highland's Country Club had the perfect rustic elegance that we wanted for our wedding. There are so many places, both inside and outside, to take pictures. It's the perfect all in one venue for ceremony and reception. Our event planner was Bridget and she is the best! She was there for us every step of the way and always available to answer all our questions and keep us on track with our planning. Nothing was overlooked. She directed us through the entire wedding day and along with the rest of the wonderful staff made sure everything was perfect and just as we wanted it to be. I will recommend this venue to everyone I know.

    We were married at the Highlands Country Club in December. Bridget and her staff worked closely with our vendors to make our wedding simply perfect. We were greeted by our own personal bridal attendant, Connie, who made sure we had everything we needed all night. The service remained seamless the entire night. We were blown away by simple touches that made us and our guests feel at home. The lit fireplaces added a warm feel to the ballroom and tavern, and the Solarium was a perfect setting for a romantic candle-lit ceremony. Our guests can’t stop talking about it and we wish we could do it again!

    My husband and I got married at Highlands just a few weeks ago and it was even more perfect than we could've imagined. We worked with Bridget as our coordinator and she was super helpful from the very beginning, responding to my numerous emails in a very timely fashion and never making me feel like my questions were silly. The facilities are gorgeous top to bottom, from the bridal suite to the ballroom, tavern and solarium - we made use of all the space that was available and our guests loved being able to float around the different areas. The space is the perfect blend of elegance and rustic that we were looking for. We ended up being a bit over our original headcount and Bridget was extremely accommodating and helped us figure out how to best maximize the space so that all of our guests were comfortable. The food was absolutely phenomenal and our guests couldn't stop telling us just how delicious everything was. Since we planned the wedding ourselves, it was great to have a list of vendor references from them while still being able to choose whoever we wanted to work with at no additional cost. If we had to do it all over again we would still go with Highlands, hands down.

    This is one of the most elegant yet rustic venues in the Hudson Valley. After having seen some venues that felt more like wedding factories, the second I walked in here, I knew it was the place. Danielle was amazing to work with and helped make our day extra special and most importantly, personal. Despite being the coldest day of the year, all of my guests have been raving about how beautiful it was especially with the stunning fireplaces. The food was also the best wedding food I have ever had. I highly recommend the Beef Stew for a winter wedding.

    Loved, the Highlands Country Club! In the beginning of our wedding venue search a few things were really important to us- we did not want a typical wedding factory. It was really important that the venue we choose did not hold multiple parties/weddings per day. We also did not want a venue with ugly carpet...The second most important thing for us was the FOOD. We wanted GOOD food and BOOZE. Not quantity (over the top cocktail hour that makes you dizzy) but quality (something that melted in your mouth)...The food here is farm to table. They also use seasonal veggies. The food was amazing- we had the slow cooked ribs in a truffle oil sauce (it melted in your mouth)! The salmon was also amazing. The booze was flowing and NOT watered down. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and intimate. It is a perfect setting for a wedding of 100-120 guests. It is all hardwood floors with two grand fireplaces (that WORK!)and a grand chandelier. My favorite part of the venue is that you really DO NOT need additional light
    The Planning:At first we had one wedding planner- but she left and we then had Bridget as our planner. Bridget was great- she answered all of my emails (a lot of them), she was super flexible and really attentive! The best part is this venue and Bridget's flexibility. Bridget worked with me and my vendors and was extremely flexible about working with my vendors and accommodating all of my ideas. She even helped me go back and forth on some tough decisions and helped guide me without pressuring me ever. She kept us really organized and day of she took control of the party and made sure everything went as planned and perfect. Also, with bridget was a bridal assistant that was amazing and SOOO helpful. It was so great to be able to trust someone to manage everything and it was perfect.

    If you are considering the Highlands, do yourself a favor and look no further. I really struggled to find a wedding venue for our fall wedding. I had an idea of what I wanted, I knew I did not want a wedding hall but was not familiar with the area, which left a lot of choices. The Highlands was the last of seven venues we looked at and upon arrival I knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. We got married on 10/30/15 on the most beautiful fall day and it was truly perfect and all that we wanted. You have to see the venue itself, photos don't do it justice, but you could not bring in decor at all and still have a beautiful wedding there. Every detail of the venue is beautiful. The staff is amazing, Bridget and her team were always there for me. I emailed her ALL the time and she always got back to me and there to help. The day of, the staff was just incredible and there for whatever you needed and there to guide you through everything. And the food!!! The food is incredible, all of my guests were complimenting it and saying that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. People were raving about it the next day at our farewell brunch. My guests also raved about the wait and bar staff, and just said how wonderful they were. I went for a rustic fall theme, but the room and space allows you to really do whatever theme you want and it will work. It is just a beautiful place with wonderful people running it who will help make your day perfect. I know everyone says their wedding was the best, but mine really was and I am so happy I chose to have it at the Highlands. I can't say enough good things here to even do it justice.

    Danielle and her team at the Highlands did everything to make our wedding perfect! From the moment we stopped in for our first visit straight through the wedding, I knew that it was the perfect place for us. The setting itself, the food, the staff - I could not have asked for more. Danielle and her team were extremely attentive to me and my husband throughout the day, as well as our guests. I have never had food at a wedding that was this good - we may as well have been at a 5 star restaurant in the City! And the dining room and outside veranda provided the exact flow that I wanted for our guests to enjoy the evening. The Garrison had initially been recommended to me, however, for our smaller event, the Highlands was much more suited to what we needed.
    I still have friends and family calling me to rave about the experience at the Highlands and praising me on finding such a great spot. It never felt "wedding-y" - it was truly a beautiful event!

    I am the mother of the Bride, just want to express what a amazing job Highlands did from the first day we booked the Venue, Danielle was just super, the day of the wedding the girls in the bridal party and hair and makeup ladies arrived at 9:00am, the Bridal Suite was ready. Just made our day less stressfull.
    Everything was on time as planned, Family is still talking about how beautiful it was, and the food was amazing.
    we had 114 total guests which is perfect for the HCC. It also helped that it was a sunny warm day for April.
    I would like to thank Danielle and the entire staff at the Highlands for just a picture perfect wedding for my daughter and new Son-in law. Hope to attend a wedding there one day and enjoy as a guest.

    I got married at Highlands Country Club on 4/11/15. I had the most perfect day at/with Highlands Country Club. The staff were professional, responsible, genuine and flexible. They made my day so very special. It was a magical day. I worked with Danielle who was so sweet, kind, professional, creative and extremely knowledgable. They took my vision and ran with it and completely delivered. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Everything we had discussed and spoke about came alive the day of my wedding and I wouldn't change a single thing. Everyone stayed right on scheduled and no one missed a beat. You never noticed the staff but everything was were it was supposed to be at the right time. The food was outstanding and great quality. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day or a more perfect place to have my wedding. It's the cutest and most unique venue we looked. The grounds surrounding the reception venue (house) are just as pretty and help create the most beautiful atmosphere. Our guest couldn't stop raving about the Highlands venue and the food.     Highlands Country Club was perfect for our small, intimate, winter wedding. My fiancée and I live and work in NYC so naturally we started our search there but could never find anywhere that was really "us" and what we were looking for. When we stepped inside the ballroom of the Highlands Country Club, my mouth dropped and I just knew this was the place for us. From the fireplaces, solarium, chandeliers and beautiful bridal suite, this place is so gorgeous and truly special. Bridget walked us though every step and was nothing short of amazing. She answered every email I had (there were lots!) with such kindness and patience and thoughtfulness. The days leading up to the wedding she made sure we had everything we needed, making sure nothing was overlooked. She is so organized, collected, professional, brilliant and awesome. She had such good ideas and never tried to push anything on us- making sure that we got everything we wanted. She was such a lifesaver, there's no way our day would have been perfect without her!

    We got married at the Highlands on Friday, December 5, 2014 and couldn't be happier with it. Everything was flawless and beautiful. Danielle West made the day absolutely perfect and we didn't have to worry about a thing. All the communication was easy, the staff on site was great and everything was taken care of. Everyone that attended said it was the most elegant wedding they had ever been to. The food was delicious, the lighting at night spectacular, the list goes on and on. Absolutely perfect.

    I got married at the Highlands Country Club in August 2014 and had an absolutely wonderful day! I worked with Danielle who was a super organized and attentive event planner. She was on top of everything on the day of my wedding, and made everything run flawlessly!

    The Highlands ballroom is absolutely magnificent! The space is beautifully decorated and a very intimate and classy space to have a wedding. The food is not your typical wedding catered food, but restaurant quality. Everyone at my wedding was raving about how great the food was!

    I am so glad that I found the Highlands Country Club, would highly recommend!!!

    What an amazing day! The Highlands Country Club did an amazing job at making our wedding such a special and memorable day! Everything was just wonderful and perfect. So many guests commented on how friendly the staff was and how great the food was. I have to agree! Danielle and her team made us feel like everything was taken care of from beginning to end. They all work so hard and really seem to care that the guests are happy! The ambiance was wonderful! Between our florist and the venue, it was magical. The little details and candles spread thought the ball room were breathtaking.

    I can't say enough about our experience with Danielle. Her kindness and professionalism was beyond our expectations. Not only dealing with me, but responding to emails from my fiancé and parents she was so patient and helpful! On the day of, I really felt as though I didn't have to work anymore and I could just sit back and enjoy because they had it taken care of. What a special place to get married. I only hope I can attend a wedding there one day and enjoy it from a different perspective :)

    I wish I could re-live my wedding day over and over again! Where to begin...Highlands Country Club was my dream wedding venue. It was the very first venue I looked at, and as soon as I saw it I knew it was "the one." It is beautiful and elgant in a country setting, my favorite aspect of it is that it didn't look like a typical country club wedding venue in the space (no awful carpeting or flourescent lighting). Sarah M. (who we loved) was our initial coordinator, but she resigned two weeks before our wedding. Danielle took her place and did an amazing job! We love her! Just to organize my thoughts a bit, I'd like to list
    Pros:
    -The food is amazing (they have their own caterer, same chef as the restaurant there and at The Garrison)! I must admit I'm not a big foodie, but I was so impressed, and so were all my guests! Everyone actually finished their food (unusual for a wedding). They also don't make you add the dinner selections to your response cards (in the wedding invite), which I really like.
    -They set-up for you. You do not have to worry about coordinating with your florist on the day of your wedding, or setting up your escort cards, favors, etc. They handle this for you. My wedding day was stress free as soon as I arrived at HCC. No need to hire a day of coordinator!
    -They only have one wedding per day there. This makes for a more unique experience , you are the only bride!
    -The staff was all so nice and helpful...they were all congratulating me, complimenting me on my dress and ceremony, etc.
    -Danielle made sure I got to eat and drink during the night
    -The venue and grounds are just so beautiful...they have fire pits and lawn furniture outside where many of our guests enjoyed the party outside during reception (the venue makes it easy to hang out in or outside)
    -linens, printed menu, signature drinks included

    It's taken me almost a year to write this review, but I have thought about how amazing the Highlands (and Danielle) made our wedding day. I was so relaxed knowing that I was in capable hands that the owner of the hair salon that did my wedding hair thought I was taking Xanex, not kidding! I am a high stress, demanding person in everyday life, everything had to be perfect, but for my wedding day, I knew the Highlands would not disappoint and I had every confidence in them (rare for me!). It was the most perfect day of our lives (the only way it could have been more perfect is if our lost loved ones were there, but that's obviously impossible), so we literally had the rainy morning (which surprisingly didn't make me anxious), and the perfect afternoon for a reception. I would do it all over again and not hesitate to choose the Highlands for our reception and pictures. Everyone was so impressed, down to our DJ who was amazed at the schedule Danielle had for us--we made it to our cocktail hour as we wished! Most importantly, Danielle made sure we tried and ate everything and had our wishes fulfilled. The ground were beautiful and the veranda and ballroom equally beautiful. So, so many people told us how different, unique and classy our wedding was since it was at such a unique venue. The flowers helped as well (a shout out to Floral Fantasies by Sara--Rhinebeck). My husband and I couldn't have imagined a better day...it was literally a fantasy come true. I would change nothing and I'm a detail oriented person who scrutinized everything! Pick the Highlands and you won't be disappointed, it works for every season, which is a plus!

    I'm not a bride. I'm not a groom. I wasn't a guest, but now I can say that everyone of these glowing reviews all true without one shred of exaggeration. In fact, they are grossly understated.
    I'm in a neutral corner where my review is concerned, and completely unbiased either way.
    I was the DJ at the Highlands Country Club where I did the music for a wedding this past Saturday night 9/13/14. This was my first time at this venue. I've been in the arena of doing weddings for the past 25 years from NYC to Albany and I never have been at a facility where every detail, the food, the service and the courtesy extended to us made us feel like royalty. I could only imagine how this bride and groom and all the guests must have been treated. ....and the person responsible for this wedding coming together in a flawless way was Danielle West, the catering manager at this venue.
    The timing of every formality ( the intros, dinner, dessert table etc.) was expertly laid out on a form with the times of all these segments are taking place. Now I've been in this business to know when get handed a sheet of paper with all these event times never work out and I told Danielle this. That could not have been any further from the truth. This place ran like a clock. Again, this young women Danielle had a handle on every aspect of this celebration.
    Now you probably are thinking I' m looking for referrals from this hall. This was the first time for me to be at HCC and it might very well be my last. For this reason I will not mention who I am. However, Danielle knows, the bride and groom knows and all the guests and that's the only thing that matters. This is not an ad for my service. This is the absolute truth about this facility and how extremely well this wedding was coordinated.
    To all the owners, associates and staff, I can only say Danielle is rare in this business. She's a keeper gentlemen.
    No grandstanding for me, just the God's honest truth and I wanted to tell everyone!

    Gorgeous! Danielle is a wizard. You may feel like everything is scattered before your wedding. But Danielle will put all those pieces into a perfect puzzle. You will have an amazing wedding at Highlands. I promise. I wish I just tasted the food. Everyone raved at how delicious everything was.

    I don't know what I would do without Danielle. She truly became part of the family during the planning process - she was professional, kind, caring and pretty much understood what I wanted. Her and her team executed everything very well. The food exceeded all expectations, service was amazing, her attention to details, to us and the guests.     Highlands was 1 of 3 venues we visited and the moment I stepped into that ballroom, I knew it was the perfect fit for my intimate 70 person wedding. (could fit 100 comfortably!) The venue itself is beautifully maintained with a grand chandelier in the ballroom, great outdoor space for cocktail hour and s'mores at the fire pit at the end of the night, as well as the cozy tavern area where the drinks were served.

    Not only was the venue gorgeous, all of my guests raved about food here as well. For the cocktail hour, we had the Italian station and 5 passed hors d'oeuvres. For the reception, we went with the arugula salad, lobster bisque (we had huge chunks of lobster in ours!) and choice between the french cut chicken breast or the filet mignon with black truffle glaze, all of which were very tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly according to the guests I surveyed throughout the night.

    Aside from the food, I want to compliment the service as well. As bride and groom, our drinks were continuously topped off and the bartenders were super accomodating. Last but not least, my wedding coordinator Danielle, was great. She was so attentive throughout the entire process and made sure the evening went smoothly on the day of our wedding. We set up in the bridal suite early morning and she made sure to have coffee and champagne handy for us as we got ready. Overall, Danielle was sweet and professional and we were both so happy to have our wedding at Highlands Country Club!

    I can't say enough about this venue and their staff. I got married in a blizzard and the staff still made everything amazing. Danielle the coordinator is the best and had everything under control. The staff is professional. The food is amazing! I got sooo many compliments the day of the wedding. And I knew I loved the venue, but all our guests did as well. It has an understated elegance that is so unique. We knew from the moment we walked into the Highlands it's where we wanted to get married, and they delivered.. the wedding of my dreams. many many many thanks to all the staff there for that!

    The service on the date of our daughter’s wedding at Highlands was truly beyond our expectations. From the minute we arrived and entered the Bridal Suite any and everything we needed was taken care of by Annie, Sarah and their wonderful staff. The bridal suite was huge and we had a lovely tray of hor d’oeuvres and chilled champagne waiting for us.

    The ceremony in the garden under a candlelit tree with white paper lanterns was breathtaking! Cocktail hour in the solarium was fabulous. There was room for everyone to mingle and the bar/lounge area had cozy couches for our guests. There were non-stop passed hor d’oeuvres. The fried macaroni and cheese was a new dish and it was to die for! Everyone was talking about how delicious it was. All of the hor d’oeuvres were truly exceptional and very high quality as well as the dinner.

    I simply cannot say enough about this venue. It was our daughter’s dream wedding come true! The elegant huge ballroom with the huge chandelier and fireplaces on either end of the room was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The tables were perfectly set with beautiful flower arrangements and lighted candles and the mantles were tastefully decorated with flowers and lighted candles too. It was picture perfect! Our guests especially enjoyed the outside area and fire pits for the s'mores we made for dessert.

    ABOVE ALL, Annie, Sarah and their crew of professionals made our experience TOP NOTCH! They were not only professional but friendly as well. They paid so much attention to every detail. No detail went unnoticed or unattended to. We can't thank them enough for all their hard work. Our guests were attended to the entire evening and we felt truly special and cared for.

    There are not enough words to describe our experience at Highlands! WE WERE BLOWN AWAY! It was MAGICAL!

    We would highly recommend Highlands to any of our friends and family, and would certainly use them again for a future event.

    I simply cannot say enough about this venue. It was our dream wedding come true! I never thought we would end up with a ballroom or even a country club for that matter, but this place mixes the simplicity and elegance of CLASSIC wedding amazingness with rustic and laid back ease for all family and friends to unwind and mingle. The flow of the venue is PERFECT.

    ABOVE ALL, Danielle and her crew of professionals made our experience TOP NOTCH! They had flexibility with our requests, paid SOOOOO much attention to detail. We NEVER had to repeat anything and everything was complete. Not a single detail went unnoticed or unattended to. I swear Danielle is a fairy princess who waves a wand of MAGIC. Our day was gorgeous from the ceremony in the back garden to the cocktail hour on the veranda and dancing and DELICIOUS food all night. Their cake vendor, The Pastry Garden, IS THE BEST IN NEW YORK. Forget cake boss, you WANT Pastry Garden. The most delicious cuisine and cake I have ever had at a wedding in my life (Ive been to a lot!)

    As much as I think I am speechless and blown away by Highlands Country Club, I could use every positive and enthusiastic word in the dictionary to describe our above exceptional experience here.

    You will kick yourself if you pass on this place. Its a once in a lifetime, unforgettable and simply magical venue.

    We had a very difficult time finding a venue in NY that would allow us to have the smaller wedding we wanted (about 100 people). We didn't want to get married at a catering hall or a multi-wedding location and we struggled to find a unique location that had everything we wanted - until we found the Highlands. The first time we went there we knew it was the place. The grounds are beautiful, the ballroom is truly stunning, and the staff were wonderful. We worked with a few coordinators and our main go-to person, Danielle, was amazing. She was very responsive to calls and emails (even the night before the wedding when we had to make a last minute change to the ceremony location due to the weather), and a true pleasure to work with. We had many DIY details and she was open to anything and made sure everything was set up perfectly. They were very open and flexible to making changes to the space - we took down art on the walls and put up our own pictures - and their extra touches of lanterns, candles, and rustic elements made the space even more special. Our guests especially enjoyed the outside area and fire pits for the s'mores we made for dessert.

    The food was exceptional and very high quality. Our guests are still raving about it, from the BBQ station at cocktail hour (you don't need to worry about having only 1 station at cocktail hour, it is endless - they kept it completely filled the entire time, right before we went into the reception), passed hor d’oeuvres, to the salad and entrees.

    We couldn't be happier with our choice and can't thank them enough for all their hard work. Our guests were attended to the entire evening and we felt truly cared for. This is a really special place and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

    The Highlands Country Club was the absolute perfect setting for our wedding! Danielle West, the venue's Event Coordinator, was new to our account just weeks before the wedding and made sure every detail was perfect. All of our guests had an amazing time - the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I CANNOT say enough good things about the Highlands.     I can't remember how I first came across Highlands Country Club but from the moment I saw it I knew it was something special. First of all you have the ballroom, two huge fire places with an enormous chandelier in the middle. Old rustic hardwood floors and French doors combine the indoors with nature and the Tavern. You get the whole place the amazing Jen Bickman, HCC staff and top quality food. We are foodies and would not settled for boring catering hall food. HCC's farm to table philosophy is how food should be prepared. We enjoyed several meals there leading up to the wedding and I have to say the day of food was just as tasty as their regular restaurant dining! Their menus reflect what's best for the season and with our fall wedding, our guests enjoyed butternut squash soup, barley risotto and a choice of sea bass or prime rib. Yum! I have to say our wedding there was as magical as I hoped it to be. All of our guests raved on the setting, the intimate venue and overall charm. We were told by many of our guests it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Brides out there, I am very OCD and organized but with Adrienne then Jennifer's help I always felt at ease. (Adrienne, the event planner we initially worked with left just three or four months before the wedding. As any bride would I panicked when I got that call but the transition to Jen was seamless. As Adrienne promised, she left me in great hands!) On the day of the actual wedding Jen was on her game eager to accommodate last minute requests and was always there with a smile. She set up all of our decorations to perfection and always made sure things were running smoothly. The day went by so fast that I regret not savoring it more. If you want a venue that is elegant but not stuffy that has character then HCC is the place for you. I cannot wait to celebrate our anniversaries there and other special occasions.     My husband Patrick and I got married this past fall, October 15, 2011. We started planning our wedding a year half early. I grew up in up state New York and we decided this would be a lovely place to have a fall wedding. At the time we lived in Madison WI so all of our planning had to be done from a distance. To make a long story short The Highlands was the second place we looked at and the last. It really was love at first sight from the moment we walked in. We had a meeting with Adrienne Madama to tour the venue but we thought we would go a little early and grab lunch. The food was amazing. My husband and I loved to cook so we new that for our wedding food would be really important to us. The other thing we loved was how much history was wrapped up in this building and how it really was not a traditional wedding hall. Yes, they do a lot of weddings during the year but the atmosphere is so unique to the Highlands Country Club. Our meeting with Adrienne was lovely; she was amazing to work with. We loved the place so much we had my parents come back for dinner that night.
    I could go on for many paragraphs about how wonderful the highlands and working with Adrienne was. I do know that most people like it short and sweet. What I will say is that over the year and half I took to plan my wedding I emailed Adrienne over and over again. When we were in town Patrick and I often stopped in for lunch. The Highlands made the planning process so easy for me.
    On the day of our wedding everything was a dream. Most of my guest arrived from the church on a bus and all where greeted with glasses of wine by the staff. If they did not prefer wine a staff member promptly came back with a drink of their choosing. Even now I hear from family and friends how impressive they thought this was. The cocktail hour gave my guest the chance to relax and enjoy the fire pits outside. I had not noticed before but on the grounds of the Highlands is a little playground. We had many kids at our wedding and that playground was a big hit. Everything ran right on time and every request was met with out any hesitation. Our wedding was everything we could have hopped for and truth be told I would do it every year if I could.
    We can never thank the Highland enough for giving us such wonderful memoires.

    Well you are welcome hudson valley brides, I'm about to save you a lot of time searching for the perfect venue! This is it! I can’t even begin to describe how perfect our wedding was at Highlands Country Club. I’m from Garrison and my family and I knew we wanted to have the wedding locally. We looked at a few wedding spaces in the area, including The Thayer hotel and The Garrison. As soon as we walked into the Highlands we knew it was the spot for us and our search ended. We didn’t want the typical ball room wedding and were willing to give up the picturesque views of The Garrison (highlands sister property) in order to have a space that matched our unique taste. The Highlands Country Club is rustic, elegant, classy and just beautiful. They have only one wedding at a time, so not only do you get the simple yet impressive ballroom, but also the solarium, tavern and veranda. I had been to Highlands back when I was growing up but never remembered it to be as grand as it is. The solarium is 3 walls of glass, its bright, airy and welcoming. The veranda looks like its straight out of a movie, rustic brick, billowing white curtains and french doors that open on both sides of the ballroom These spaces combined with the main ballroom give your guests so many places to go, sit and enjoy themselves. Adrienne Madama was our event coordinator and from our first tour to the day after our wedding was so incredibly responsive, supportive and helpful. Each meeting was a pleasure and she made wedding planning a breeze. Nothing was ever an issue, she helped us figure out things that we didn't have a CLUE about and she even came to the rescue when my bustle broke before our first dance. The food was wonderful, and that was confirmed by a family friend who attended the wedding that has been a chef for over 20 years. Many of their menu items are locally grown, which was very important to us. Many brides say they don't eat at their weddings.. but you WILL here.. it was a fantastic meal. The set up of the cocktail station (beautiful lay out, rustic signage), the bar service (never a line, fun drinks, lots of choices) and the presentation of the food was impeccable. Finding service and a location like this at a better price would be impossible to find in the Hudson Valley area. Our guests said they had never been to a wedding like ours, and they felt like there were in a different world.

    Our day went off without a hitch and our guests are raving about it. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. If you are looking to give your family and friends a wedding experience they won’t soon forget, look no further, go to Highlands!

    I cannot stress enough what an amazing wedding my husband and I had at the Highlands Country Club!! First of all, the coordinator Adrienne Madama is a dream. She answered any phone calls or emails immediately, and with such a sense of calm that she always put me immediately at ease. Adrienne met with us several times to go over details from big to small, and she walked the perfect line between allowing us to make all of the decisions and giving us some well-pointed suggestions. She NEVER steered us wrong. I cannot recoemmend working with Adrienne enough. Not only is she an expert in event planning, but she is truly a nice person, and the combination is one that cannot be beat. Secondly, the event space--wow. I can't tell you hoe many people commented that the space was classy, intimate, gorgeous, simply lovely...basically, people were blown away. Between the ballroom, the outdoor veranda, the golf course, and the tavern, it was the perfect blend of inside and outside, spacious and enclosed, and everything was done 110% perfectly. Our ceremony was held on the golf course, but even if it had rained, Adrienne had a contingency plan that worked equally well. The cocktail hour was top-notch and the food and drinks were plentiful and fluid. The table settings, the food itself, the staff, and the overall atmosphere of everyone who worked there was a dream. I know that I sound overblown, but please trust me when I say that I cannot recall a better wedding, and I have been to over 30 of them, and I heard the same thing from all of our guests. The best decision we made was to hold our wedding reception at Highlands Country Club, and I am already planning to a) have a daughter, b) convince her to hold HER wedding there one day!!

    The staff at Highlands Country Club is fantastic! We planned our reception from Alabama, and Adrienne and the entire staff made it effortless. Our other vendors were familiar with the Highlands staff, and it made coordination between vendors automatic and, again, effortless on my part. The execution of our event was flawless, and there were so many small details they added to make everything even more special (candles everywhere, printing my wedding vows as I got ready, pampering the bridal party with champaigne and fine cheeses, just to name a few). The food was superb, and the location is stunning. Our guests raved about the ambiance, food, and overall atmosphere.

    We were very pleased with our overall experience at the Highlands Country Club. Adrienne was fantastic and took care off all the details and kept in touch with us so we wouldn't forget any details. The day of the event, the suite upstairs was already set up (even though we were an hour early). We had the reception outside on the veranda - the food and bar was set up conveniently for each guest to enjoy and there was enough staff bringing out food during the cocktail hour. The sit down dinner was excellent. The food came out perfectly cooked and hot, everyone raved about it! With the beautiful decorations and candles the place just looked very romantic. The cake from Pastry Gardens was beautifully decorated and tasted wonderful. Adrienne stayed until the reception ended and ensured all of our presents, left over favors, cake, menus etc. were packed up. Overall we are highly recommending the Highlands Country Club for the spectacular setting, outstanding service and first class food.

    I absolutely loved the Highlands! The space is fantastic, our wedding felt like midsummers night dream. All of the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Adrienne was a pleasure to work with. The food was the best part. All locally grown, and the facility practices sustainable catering. I couldnt have asked for anything better.

    If you’re looking for something romantic, elegant, and classy the Highlands Country Club is for you! The pictures online don’t do it justice you must see it in person! The ambiance of the ballroom is absolutely stunning with its huge chandelier, fireplaces on either end of the room, the dark wood floors, the antique-looking furniture, high ceilings, and arched windows/doors. I was looking for something different – I don’t like those huge wedding halls where you are one of many weddings going on at the same time. I don’t like hotel ballrooms with their ugly carpets, wall dividers, and low ceilings. The Highland Country Club really stands out. Adrienne is so flexible and accommodating not to mention super organized and on top of everything! If you want something that isn’t available ask Adrienne. She really wants to make sure your day is perfect. The food is also amazing! You must eat at the Tavern Restaurant to get an idea. Their Farm-to-Table Philosophy makes the menu unique. I highly recommend the Highlands Country Club. I am so happy the way everything turned out. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

    Absolutely a dream come true! My daughter had her wedding reception at Highlands Country Club. From the moment we set foot on the property when we first visited, to the last time we were there to pick up belongings, it was amazing. There could not have been a more perfect venue for our event. Adrienne is unbelievable! She is such a pleasure to work with. Always positive, always treats you like yours is the most important event ever. It seemed as though everything we wanted was possible. The food was amazing. I am still hearing how much our guests loved the food. Everything was set up perfectly when we arrived, and the evening flowed beautifully. The entire staff was friendly and attentive to us and our guests. There isn't a single negative thing I can say about this place. It was spectacular and they deserve all the best reviews!

    After looking at multiple venues, my husband and I made an appointment to visit Highlands Country Club. We wanted to have a small, less than 100 person wedding, in a simple and elegant setting. The moment we walked in there was something special that struck us both. Between the beautiful views, the stunning ballroom and the charm of the Tavern Restaurant, we were hooked and had to book that day.

    Our coordinator Adrienne Madama spent over an hour with us talking about the things we could alter or change (anything seemed possible), how the ceremony would lay out, the food, even exchanging tableside wine service for italian cookies during dessert. Our wedding dreams were coming true! When we visited other venues they weren't nearly as nice or accommodating as HCC or Adrienne!

    When our wedding was approaching, we had a problem with our DJ's relability, Adrienne stepped in and made sure to call him with all the details so that it wouldn't be a stress on us.

    On our wedding day, everything that we spoke about with Adrienne was perfect! From the ceremony to the cocktail hour to table arrangements and dessert, it was everything that we hoped for! Adrienne was there for every moment, she made sure things ran smoothly and correctly. She even made sure that husband had his jacket for pictures when he needed it and that our special champagne flutes were out, filled, taken away, washed and put back in the box.

    From beginning to end we knew that we had made the right choice with HCC. We recommend this venue to anyone looking for a simple but elegant and romantic venue. I also can not say enough nice things about Adrienne who was so completely unbelievable and organized! She was able to make our wedding dreams come true!!!

    My husband and I had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Highlands Country Club on July 3, 2011. We cannot say enough about how happy we were with how the wedding and reception turned out! From the beginning, Adrienne was wonderful in helping us plan every detail of our event. Adrienne was extremely organized from the start, and helped us make decisions about many of details of our ceremony and reception which I would not have even considered on my own. From the start of planning to the end of the reception, she was extremely attentive, and made us feel very comfortable that everything would go as planned...and it did!

    As for the actual venue, we could not have asked for a more beautiful, charming, and unique location. The country club has so many areas for guests to wander and enjoy including a garden area with fire pits, an old-fashioned tavern, a glass-enclosed solarium with golf course views, a covered verandah with furniture, and a gorgeous ballroom with lovely fireplaces, hardwood tables, and a chandelier. It is an absolutely ideal location if you are looking for a unique and intimate location for your wedding.

    Lastly, I must say that the food was probably the best I have ever had at a wedding - and many of our guests have said the same. We chose shrimp and filet mignon as our entrees, and both were delicious!

    Overall, we did not have a single negative thing to say about the country club. We would recommend this venue to anyone, and we absolutely LOVED having our wedding here!!! Thank you!

    Where do I begin? I'll start with, FABULOUS!!!!! What an outstanding job Adrienne did. Her assistants, the wait staff, chief etc. at The Highlands Country Club did an unbelievable job. It was a fairytale wedding, to use the words of my guest. Elegance! We chose the Highlands because my daughter Jamie wanted an elegant wedding. It is not only classic elegance, but it has such a warmth about it.

    When my husband & I exited the limo there was a lovely woman standing just outside the white gate greeting guests as they arrived with a glass of wine. Very impressive! As we entered and walked down the brick path lined with beautiful lanterns, I looked out and saw our guests sprawled out across the lawn standing and seated in wicker chairs. Some were sitting by the fire pit, other on the veranda on the lounge furniture, It was picture perfect. When we entered the reception area we just stood there speechless. The gleaming chandler, the fireplaces filled with candle light, everything was perfect and more than we could have ever dreamed of.

    Adrienne was so attentive and detailed. She did everything she said she would. We can not THANK her enough. Adrienne made everything perfect. The staff was exceptional. From Adrienne's assistants that were also pleasant and professional, to wait staff that couldn't do enough for us and our guests. Thank you to the chiefs. The food was unbelievable! From cocktail hour to dinner. The filet and shrimp were both cooked to perfection. My husband and I love cooking, quality ingredients and making everything from scratch and there was absolutely no disappointment in anything served.

    Thank you again to The Highlands Country Club for an elegant, warm, over the top experience. My daughter Jamie and son in law Ricky were so HAPPY and LOVED EVERYTHING! And that's what truly matters.

    When we started our search for a wedding venue, we knew that we wanted something elegant and simple. Highlands Country Club was exactly that! The setting is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the staff is very accommodating. We worked with Adrienne Madama from start to finish, and could not be happier with her advice and coordination. Everything, from the ceremony, to cocktails outside, dinner and dancing in the ballroom, and s’mores(!), was perfect, and we had an amazing evening!! We consider ourselves very lucky to have had our wedding at Highlands, and can’t wait to celebrate our anniversaries with meals at the Tavern!

    I was married at the Highlands Country Club on June 19, 2010 and I cannot stop talking about how flawless, beautiful, organized, and WONDERFUL the entire wedding was!!
    Just a note about myself: I am THEE most organized person I know. I'm extremely detail-oriented, and the thought of putting someone else "in charge" of the details of the day was hard. Once we began to work with Jennifer O'Toole, I realized we were in good hands. My husband and I worked with Jennifer from day one—she answered every question (no matter how insignificant), she alleviated all of my fears, she turned our wedding day into an organized work of art, and she did everything with a smile on her face!

    Before the day of the wedding, I had worried: When would the ceremony chairs be removed? How would everyone know where to go, and when? Who will make sure the rabbi has a table for the kiddush cup, etc? And all of those worries were for nothing. In the almost 2 months since the wedding, I've had family members tell me that everywhere they turned, Jennifer or another Highlands staff member was there to help. They made sure my 92-year-old grandmother had a seat when she needed, they kept my husband and I hydrated the entire night, they brought us hors d'oevres after the ceremony so we could actually eat something! They packed up our untouched dinners and gave them to us before we left for the night. They even walked around the grounds to find my father (who was on a smoke break) so we could do our Father/Daughter dance.

    Now on to the other stuff:
    The Highlands ballroom is GORGEOUS. I spent so little money on flowers because that room needs so little. If your taste is natural and elegant, this is the place for you. The beauty of the Hudson Valley came across in every way. And don't even get my started on the food! Of course we didn't eat anything that night (because who has time for that on your wedding day?!) but we've eaten there numerous times before and everything is finger-licking amazing. My guests' plates were CLEANED. Some people said it was the best steak they've ever had--let alone at a wedding.

    We had 114 guests and there was more than enough room for everyone, and a giant dance floor in middle.

    I am still blown away by how perfect of a venue the Highlands is. Choosing the Highlands is the best decision you could make--for real.

    What an amazing venue in every way... My husband and I got married in Cold Spring in October of last year, and had our reception at the Highlands. We were looking for a place with an intimate, rustic yet refined feel - as soon as we stepped foot on the property, we knew we'd found a gem! The setting is so beautiful, from the covered veranda to the classic ballroom, the place just oozes charm and class. Our event manager, Todd, was absolutely the best - he really went above and beyond to make our event personal and handled every aspect of the planning with an amazing attention to detail... it was an absolute pleasure working with him! Last but certainly not least - the food. My husband and I are real foodies, and this was #1 on our list of priorities for our reception site. Eric, the chef at Tavern (adjacent to the Highlands ballroom) was nothing short of a genius. We still talk about the amazing food we had at our wedding... and yes, we actually sat down and ate! If we could go back and experience our wedding all over, we wouldn't change a single thing - except maybe to make it last a little longer.

    I couldn't have asked for a better location of staff to work with. They event manager Adrienne and her staff were on top of everything the day of our wedding and throughout the whole planning process. Adrienne alleviated any fears or stresses I had and made sure I felt confident that everything would be perfect, and it was! The food was great. Our friends and family are still telling us how the filet mignon we had at the reception was better than any steakhouse filet they've had.

    My husband and I just had our incredible wedding reception at the Highlands Country club in May 2010. We were married down the road at the Chapel at St. Basil's Academy. The Highlands was actually the very first location that we looked at for our wedding. We thought that we should keep looking, so we did, for 3 more months, only to realize that we knew all along that we wanted to have our wedding at the Highlands! So, let me start by saving you some time--if you are thinking about booking there, DO IT! And make sure that you work with Jennifer O'Toole. She is the on-site wedding planner and she was really incredible. I quickly realized that she was very different then all the other on-site planners that we met at the other locations--she really cared and did all that she could to make our day special. I had quite a few unusual requests, including some incredibly time-consuming table set ups and Jennifer bent over backwards to make sure that all of my requests were met. I feel truly blessed to have worked with her and my husband feels the same. As soon as we arrived, Jennifer met us with two glasses of champagne and she made sure that the staff kept finding us and bringing us food at the cocktail hour. So, as soon as the reception began, I felt like I had nothing to worry about--everything was under control. It was an incredible feeling to see our vision come together--we really relaxed and enjoyed every single moment of our wedding. We actually ate our entire meal (which was amazing) and enjoyed our wedding to the fullest! The location was absolutely perfect. We had our cocktail hour outside on the North veranda and dinner in the ballroom. Dancing was in the new south veranda, where we had both a DJ and a Greek Band. Having use of The Tavern (the restaurant at the club that is attached to the ballroom) was really great too. We used it as a separate room for candy, sweets and spirits. It was a HUGE hit with our guests. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. Service was excellent and the food was unbelievable. Hands down the best wedding food I have ever had. The Chef, Eric Gabrynowicz, is incredibly talented and the food on our wedding night was even better than when we ate in The Tavern months prior. We have received so many compliments on the setting, service, food, location,....One of the greatest compliments was when my best friend, a woman who has had her wedding planned out since she was a little girl, told me that she would have her wedding at The Highlands! That warmed my heart! It was truly the greatest day of our lives, and I really need to thank Jennifer O'Toole, Chef Eric and the entire staff at the Highlands for making our wedding day magical.

    This was the most perfect place. It was the first place we went to visit and when we were there, I knew it was "the place" for our wedding reception. Highlands Country Club is such a comfortable, charming, absolutely perfect facility. We wanted an intimate place that didn't come across like a reception hall and that's exactly what we got. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and Jennifer and her staff made the day flow beyond my expectations! Highly regarded facility and staff!

    Finding a venue for the wedding reception was difficult because of the small party we were trying to plan. Fortunately, Highlands Country Club was more than happy to accommodate our vision. The staff was wonderful to work with throughout our planning. Every small or large request we made was followed through and fulfilled. The club was extremely helpful with advice about how they think the room should be set up as well as extremely informative about the menu. It was actually difficult to choose the menu because everything sounded delicious. However, items that we didn’t choose for our menu we look forward to trying out one day because the club has a Tavern where the public can dine for dinner.

    Unfortunately, due to the unusually cool weather we were unable to use the beautiful veranda that the club had set up for us for the cocktail hour. Therefore, we moved our cocktail hour inside the main hall. The club provided exceptional service and most importantly made my groom and my vision a dream come true.

    The Highlands was the absolute best choice for a wedding venue. We recently got married there, and were thrilled with every aspect, start to finish. Bridget was a tremendous help and an absolute pleasure to work with. She was of great assistance throughout the months leading up to the wedding, emailing me with some questions or feedback, along with a timeline of when things needed to get done. However, her poise and grace the night of the wedding was amazing...I don't know how she does it! She did not show an ounce of stress, and was so behind the scenes, helping in any way she could, without causing me any stress. I can't even count how many times my bustle came undone and she was always right there with pins, trying to fix it for the umpteenth time.
    The venue itself is gorgeous. Its simplicity makes it easy to go in any direction in terms or decor or "theme", but its class is unlike anything I've seen. I was nervous upon hearing "country club", and truly didn't even want to go visit (my taste is not typical "country club" feel) but this is quite the opposite! Beautiful hardwood floors, open space, rustic-y fireplace and a gorgeous chandelier. The big patio outside gives it a plantation feel, which was perfect for our fall wedding cocktail hour. The hor d'oeuvres were delicious and a bit more eclectic than what I was used to seeing, which I enjoyed. The entrees were delicious- we chose filet mignon as one entree and did not stop hearing about how good it was!
    Our guests raved about the venue and its beauty, and we are thrilled with how wonderful our wedding was. Thank you, Bridget and the Highlands!

    Highlands Country Club and its exceptional staff made our summer 2014 wedding more perfect than we could have imagined. We recommend them without hesitation. Both the grounds and event spaces are beautiful, allowing couples to hold everything from their first-look photos to their last dance at a single venue. The Solarium is a magical place for indoor ceremonies. The Verandah is ideal for cocktail hour. The Ball Room is gorgeous. And, the grounds offer spectacular settings for incredible photos. However, what really sets Highlands apart is its extraordinary staff, headed by Danielle, the on-site coordinator. Danielle and her team operate with incredible professionalism and experience, allowing couples to leave the logistics of their big day in the staff’s capable hands and focus instead on celebrating with friends and family. We really could not have hoped for a more beautiful or more enjoyable day. Highlands and its staff were key to the success of our wedding celebrations.

    My husband and I are thrilled that we chose to hold our wedding reception at Highlands Country Club! We got married last month and everything went just perfectly. When we signed on to work with HCC, nearly a year before the event, we were working with their Events Coordinator, Adrienne. As you'll see from many previous reviews here, she was wonderful to work with. While Adrienne is no longer with HCC, I am writing this review to assure you that that their new Events Coordinator, Jennifer, is equally amazing! We found out about Adrienne's departure only two months prior to the wedding. As most former brides and brides-to-be can imagine, I was a bit panicked about this news! My fears were unfounded though. Jennifer, stepped right into the role without missing a beat. She's really organized! She was always very responsive to my emails and patient with my dozens of questions. I also attribute the smooth transition to the fact that the entire staff at HCC is so on top of things. They pay close attention to all of your requests and truly care. It felt like a tightly run ship...in a good way! They're organized, but still flexible and work with you to make sure that your wedding reflects you as a couple.

    The venue is an incredibly elegant and cozy space with a historic feel. The ambiance is just great. Our guests loved it! The indoor-outdoor options are wonderful and our guests enjoyed having cocktails, s'mores and cigars outside with dinner and dancing inside. The food was delicious, creative, and much of it is locally grown. The pastry company they work with on the cakes was also very responsive, accommodating to our requests and the cake was delicious! I could write pages about the many helpful and accommodating steps Jennifer, Danielle and all the HCC staff took to help make our day special! I highly recommend this venue.

    Our wedding was October 2010 and it was PERFECT. Adrienne was the ultimate coordinator- she had someone more or less follow us around all night checking that we were ok-- she had separate meetings with my florist on her own-- she spent I dont know how long talking on the phone with my mother :) She even distracted our rude photographer at the end of the night and kept her from sulking in the corner! Amazing venue and everything went so smoothly-- If I could do it all over again I would go right bak!

    Wonderful Event Space

    We are so glad that we had our wedding at the Highlands Country Club. We worked with Adam and he is AMAZING. Besides the fact it took us 2 years to have our wedding due to COVID, everything went smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful. We had our ceremony outside and our reception inside. What I also liked about the space is the solarium. It is a great option for an indoor ceremony, if you are worried about the weather. Though we were unable to have a tasting, the food was FANTASTIC. The Pastry Garden provides the cake as a part of the package and the cake was delicious. It really is a wonderful venue and event space. I also cannot say enough about Adam. Besides the fact that he was honest and made the planning process smooth, the day of he was really on point. He even gave my friend his belt to borrow!! (I found this out after the wedding. Adam, I cannot believe you did this.) Book the Highlands for your event now!!

    Danielle and the staff at HCC were amazing. She was so helpful from the very first time we contacted her. She worked with us and was so kind. She made sure everything on our day was perfect and it was! She was always available to answer questions and very responsive to all emails. The food was delicious as well!

    This was the first venue my husband and I visited and we fell in love immediately. HCC fit our vision for the wedding perfectly: intimate, charming, elegant and rustic. We worked with Bridget who was responsive to all of our e-mails and was extremely helpful the day of the wedding. Everything ran smoothly the day of and the space and decor looked beautiful. Our guests were raving about the food and loved having the option to dance inside or relax outside by the fire pits. We had 150 guests (the max) and we felt there was enough space for everyone to be comfortable and enjoy themselves.

    Over all my husband and I highly recommend the Highlands Country Club, you won't be disappointed!

    The Highlands is a great wedding venue. Food is tops, and they know what they are doing with respect to putting on a wedding reception.

    My daughter recently got married at Highlands Country Club and we had a wonderful experience. We needed a room large enough to hold 100+ people, but we definitely didn't want a typical banquet hall. HCC is not fussy or ornate, but is elegant in its simplicity. I'd best describe it as the look of a country manor home, that has the perfect mix of rustic and historic appeal with touches of elegance. The covered verandah and garden are lovely, and would be perfect for a ceremony and cocktail hour, but because of rain, we held the ceremony in the ballroom, in front of a lit fireplace with flickering candlelight, and a stunning crystal chandelier that was reflected in large mirrors above each hearth. It ended up being a beautiful, intimate, and romantic setting on such a grey day, and was exactly what we were hoping for. As parents footing the entire bill, we considered HCC to be a good value. We held a small afternoon wedding and wanted the quality of the food, not the quantity, to impress our guests. And Highland's farm to table fare did just that. For a high-end venue only one hour north of NYC, they offered a very reasonable base package--but you can add on from a list of options to customize your menu. We worked with Bridget, the in-house coordinator, and she was quick to answer all of our questions and helped us plan for every detail of the day. She was so organized and professional, that there was very little for us to stress over. The service, all around, was attentive and professional, and our overall experience was great. I highly recommend the Highlands County Club, and wish I could go back next time as a guest!

    We had Bridget as our coordinator. As someone that's also in the service industry, I cannot say enough about how fantastic Bridget was. She was warm, professional and EXTREMELY responsive. Her follow through from start to finish made the short 6.5 months we planned our wedding in that much more easy and seamless. She worked with us on every element she could. On the day of, I didn't order enough centerpieces to accommodate all of our tables. She rescued the situation, so that it was every other-it looked beautiful! She also probably triaged some other situations that happened, but brilliantly-I didn't even know if it did.

    Some small things to note:
    They do not allow a tasting before you choose the menu.
    (My husband and I as well as many of our guests really enjoyed the food)
    You can not rehearse there the night before. It was to chaotic for us to do day of. So we rehearsed at the hotel the night before.
    They do not have an area for both of us to get ready.
    I saw people clustering at the single small bathroom downstairs and wish there was a sign or someone letting them know there is a bathroom upstairs. On the flip side, the building is from the 1890's so...that's whatcha get.

    After literally a dozen venues, this was the last one I looked at and would choose it again every time.

    My husband and I worked with Danielle West from our initial site visit through our wedding day. Throughout the process, Danielle was extremely helpful answering many detailed questions via email and being flexible with visiting the venue multiple times. We fell in love with Highlands immediately for our 90-person wedding. Highlands combined the vintage/rustic-themed décor we were looking for with a beautiful ballroom that was both intimate and elegant. We loved that our guests could enjoy multiple spaces and we could have an outdoor garden ceremony. Even if it had rained (which it didn’t!) a ceremony in the solarium would have been just as beautiful. On the day of the wedding, the service at Highlands was tremendous, the setting gorgeous, and the food impeccable. Many of our guests raved about the filet, saying it was the best they ever had. Danielle and her team executed our wedding beautifully and I have no complaints, other than I wish I could re-live the day!

    One piece of feedback would be to consider a more client-oriented guest count policy. Two of our guests told us unexpectedly that they couldn’t travel to our wedding due to illness 4 days after our final guest count was due and there were no concessions made. I understand the need for policies; however, Highlands should offer flexible or creative options (e.g. re-allocating funds to a liquor upgrade or extra dessert) on a case-by-case basis when unfortunate things occur, especially when a wedding is already above the minimum.

    My husband and I were married at Highlands in April 2015. We worked with Danielle who was absolutely wonderful and completely organized throughout the entire process. We loved the historic, warm and cozy feel of the space as soon as we walked in. Although it can hold more, we had a small wedding of about 70 and were very comfortable. We had a lovely ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors followed by dinner and dancing inside the main room. We had warm weather though and guests were able to flow inside and outside throughout the evening as they wished. The food was incredible and far exceeded the typical bland and forgettable "wedding food" served at most venues (we highly recommend the short ribs!). We really can't thank Danielle and the lovely staff at Highlands enough. The day was exactly what we wanted and we’re still talking about it!

    Highlands is an absolutely beautiful venue with a fantastic staff. Danielle had lots of great ideas about how we could use the space, and was open to our ideas as well. I actually found the venue to be surprisingly flexible about decor. Danielle is warm and friendly but also a total professional; she made our wedding day run very smoothly and showed amazing attention to detail. The only issue we had with the venue was that we felt there was a bit of nickel-and-diming on small charges (for instance, they charge for the food tasting and the wine tasting, they charge a not-insignificant sum to use their silver candlesticks, etc.), which made us feel very much like customers rather than like clients in the time leading up to the wedding. But if we could go back in time, we would definitely choose Highlands all over again.

    The moment I walked into the Highlands Country Club I knew I wanted to have my wedding there! The venue is gorgeous! It is a perfect scale for a smaller wedding (we had about 100 guests) and the various rooms and outdoor spaces allowed for fun mingling of guests. It was close enough to Manhattan that many city dwellers took the train. But the privacy surrounded by hills and a quiet golf course led many guests to describe it as an "at home destination wedding." S'mores at a wedding was a hit larger than I imagined it would be.
    Danielle was amazing, supportive and helped the day go along smoothly. She helped guide all the vendors on site so I had nothing to worry about but enjoying my day.

    We had our reception at Highlands and it was perfect. We worked with Danielle who was nothing but professional, friendly and clearly loved her job. The service on the date of the wedding was beyond our expectations. If we wanted or needed something, it was there! Our guests loved the food selections and danced the night away. We loved the ambiance, beautifully kept grounds, chandelier and clean look of the country club. We appreciated only having one wedding at a time. The bridal suite was HUGE and gave us a great place to regroup or relax for a minute if needed. We would highly recommend Highlands to any of our friends and family members, and would certainly use them again for a future event.

    We were very impressed with the venue itself, the quality of the service we received, and the professionalism and efficiency of the event planner we worked with- Jennifer. We recently held our engagement party at Highlands, and from the first time we went to visit it, all of our e-mails and questions were always answered promptly and we were always received politely. For us, the experience of planning the event being a pleasant one was just as important as the appearance of the venue and the quality of the food (all of which were also great). The day of the event, when I arrived to set up, Jen immediately took over everything and did a great job making sure everything went to plan. Many of our guests commented that they felt as if they were in their own home, or rather- their dream home! which speaks a lot for the warmth of the atmosphere.
