Great Officiant

Heather was the perfect officiant for our Persian-American wedding ceremony. She was kind, communicative, and helpful during the planning process and worked with us to create a unique ceremony script tailored to our merging cultures. Her presence is soothing and positive, and altogether we couldn’t be happier with our choice!

A Night to Remember

We could not have found a better officiant. From our first (FaceTime) meeting, Heather has been so kind and helpful. She offered many suggestions for both the ceremony details as well as other parts of the planning process, and accommodated us through multiple changes and less than ideal weather. Heather’s expertise made the ceremony warm and magical. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Ceremony

Working with Heather was a fantastic experience. She provided invaluable advice when we needed it but she was also flexible and incorporated all of our ideas into the ceremony structure. Some of our ideas were a little different then your traditional ceremony and Heather enthusiastically got behind our vision and helped turn it into a reality. As a queer couple we also felt safe and comfortable with Heather which was very important to us. I would highly recommend her as an officiant to future couples.

Highly Recommend

Heather was absolutely amazing and honestly I couldnt have asked for anyone better. She listened to our thoughts and provided assistance to ensure that we had the ceremony that was perfect for us. We had to cancel our wedding 10 days before hand in 2020 and she was so accommodating throughout the rescheduling madness. Her willingness and thoughtfulness also aided us in actually getting married on our original day in 2020. Fast forward to 2021 and our ceremony was complete with all the little things that I wanted that we elected to save for the day. I would highly recommend Heather for your ceremony.

Absolutely Amazing

Heather was an amazing officiant for my wedding. She was so wonderful to work with and made everything so easy for my husband and I. She provided a clear outline for the ceremony that allowed us to personalize our ceremony to make it our own. Heather is a very wonderful person and made every aspect of our ceremony beautiful. Don’t Hesitate

Heather is a gem and made the process really simple for us. At first, I’m not gonna lie, I was a little off put by the process. I worried that a script would feel a little impersonal, but honestly it was a blessing in disguise. We would have had no idea what we wanted or what format would be best. And she was so great at answering all my questions. I had a lot.

Heather showed up early and got everything together for us very promptly. She looked very nice and was very pleasant with everyone.

Our ceremony was beautiful, and fit us so well. I couldn’t have been happier with how well she spoke and how much it reflected us as a couple.

10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely perfect!

Heather was amazing from start to finish, pleasant, professional and right on time. She even grabbed a table in the hotel for the sand ceremony when the staff fell short. Her service was customized and beautiful. Perfect thanks to her. You won’t go wrong with Heather!

...then Heather is for you! She will attend to all of the special little details that make your ceremony reflective of your unique relationship, love, and shared values. We contacted Heather as a more challenging couple--we were from out of town traveling into her area, we didn't want a traditional wedding, but we wanted to develop a ceremony that reflected our values and also involved our blending families. Heather offered so many options and together we easily customized an absolutely perfect ceremony for us! Heather is open-minded and she will support you in having just the wedding you envision!

She made our ceremony perfect!

My wedding day came with so much craziness I wasn't expecting. I forgot the bouquet of flowers I needed for the ceremony to give to my mother, but you never would have known thanks to Heather! She did a simply dedication during the ceremony instead and accomodated our unity ceremony that we wanted incorporated. I even saw my wedding photos afterward and realized she helped with much more. There she was helping with groomsmen boutineers etc. I can't say enough great things about Heather! She was a pleasure to work with and very flexible with all our needs.

Heather was such a great choice for our wedding! My husband and I were looking for something more secular and Heather was a great fit. She provided us with many options for readings, sermons, etc for our ceremony and made a few minor changes to things as needed. She has a clear voice during the ceremony and arrived early. Heather was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! She did a great job helping us with our ceremony. We had a fun time creating the script as Heather gave us many poems and writings to chose from and had everything laid out nicely. So If you're not a writer, no worries! Heather Saul officiated our wedding almost two years ago! My husband and I were planning a huge wedding, and we decided last minute to just get "hitched". Heather ended up letting us have our small ceremony on her property, in October. The whole event was beautiful! My husband and I forgot to bring what we wanted her to read!!! Heather ended up just winging it, and it was perfect! Sorry I'm so late on the review!!! I highly recommend her! :)

Heather was awesome to work with from our initial meeting to our wedding day! She was always quick to return emails and was really easy to set up a meeting with. My husband and I met her at a Starbucks to discuss the option of her services for our wedding and by the time we left, we knew we wanted to use her! She really knows officiant services and was great during our wedding ceremony! She also had been to our venue, Antrim 1844, multiple times which was great because she knew exactly what to do! A huge thanks to Heather for making our wedding day that much more perfect!

Heather did a great job. She made sure to go over everything with us and was there for our rehearsal as well as on the day. If we had any questions, we could just call her and she would get back to us in just a few hours. She made things a lot more comfortable for us, which made it so much less nerve racking. She made it very simple and short which is what we wanted. We didn't want to do anything religious as each side of our families are completely different views. We had a few poems in our ceremony and had my maid of honor do a reading. It was short and sweet. It was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't be happier.

Heather was great! Heather had many options not only for a non-religious ceremony, but for our same sex ceremony as well. We were able to tailor everything the way we wanted it to fit us personally. Heather pays attention to the details. Minutes before the ceremony Heather let us know that the band had a microphone stand they could provide, however it would be in all our photos if used. She reassured us she could project her voice and the microphone wouldn't be necessary if we preferred to go without it. Her advice was right on point. On top of that she even helped to tighten the back of my vest at the last minute. Our ceremony was exactly the way we wanted it to be. We have received many compliments on our ceremony and I am so happy we found Heather and booked her!

Heather was great. We used wedding wire to find her, and the reviews about her were right on.

We had our first call with Heather a few months ago, and fell in love with her immediately! She is extremely flexible and has tons of options based on religion. She also has a bunch of sample readings and vows that you can custom to you as a couple. We look forward to continuing to work with Heather until our wedding in June 2017.

Heather was amazing, prompt, and helpful from our very first meeting to the day of our wedding!
Heather worked with us as we customized our ceremony to make it perfectly capture us. The ceremony was simple and beautiful. She was even willing to perform a unity ceremony called a "chocolate ceremony" that my guests are still talking about.
From the quick response to my emails, to how helpful she was organizing my bridal party at the venue, to giving us an unforgettable ceremony, I highly recommend Heather Saul as your officiant!

Heather was such a great officiant! She was perfect for us in so many ways. She guided us through with reminders about getting our marriage license and having everything prepared for her to send in for us. I received everything in good time to start the process of changing my name. She has a template that you can use to pick and choose different parts of your ceremony; this allowed us to customize our ceremony exactly how we wanted. She was very professional and very experienced with everything.. I think this helped to make our rehearsal and our wedding day go as smoothly as we wanted.

My husband and I met or spoke with seven different officiants before we met Heather. We had a difficult task of trying to please our parents, who wanted a religious ceremony, when we did not. Heather was flexible, helpful and informative. I felt very strongly that I wanted to write the ceremony, and Heather gave me the tools and resources to do just that. Then she met with us to go over what we had come up with and provided constructive and helpful tips for improving it even further. It ended up being exactly what I wanted and met our parents' wishes.
On the day of the wedding, Heather showed up on time and was extremely helpful. She took charge and made sure everything ran smoothly -- including pinning all the groomsmen's boutonnieres when they had no idea what they were doing. During the ceremony, Heather's mic briefly went out, and she didn't miss a beat. She spoke louder and clear until it was resolved. Most people didn't even notice. We've been to weddings where the officiants have forgotten to tell the guest to sit, or did something out of order or forgot a part -- Heather was a pro.
We did have one issue with our marriage license. She put the wrong name of the city and it was sent back to us (something she says she has always done and it has never been a problem) but she apologized and quickly helped us fix it.
For what began as an extremely stressful process, Heather made it simple and did a great job.

Our venue recommended Heather, and my wife and I are glad that we chose her to be our officiant. She has a calm, professional demeanor about her. She worked with my wife and I to create a ceremony that was both meaningful and memorable for both us and our guests. She's very quick to respond by any means of communication, and she is flexible in meeting with you and will even rehearse via Facetime if necessary.

Heather was wonderful to work with. She gave us a video conference consult to meet us beforehand and determine our style of ceremony. She gives such a variety of choice for the ceremony, and we loved that she is so open-minded and inclusive! I highly recommend using Heather Saul! She did an amazing job for us at our wedding (9/4/2015) and made our ceremony truly special. We debated asking a family member to be our officiant, but we are so glad that we went with Heather instead. From our first meeting, she made us feel so comfortable. We used Heather as our officiant for our wedding in Baltimore City. She was very professional and did a great job with our ceremony. She was flexible in setting up our initial meeting, and really let us tailor the ceremony ourselves, all while giving us great guidance.

Heather arrived on time to our rehearsal, despite most of the wedding party arriving late due to traffic. We had no idea how much logistical planning was involved in a wedding, but it was clear when Heather took charge and knew exactly where everyone should be and when. The day of, she was fantastic. She even made sure to talk to people who weren’t able to make it to the rehearsal.

My only complaint would be that the ceremony was shorter than her initial estimate. It ended up working out okay though since it was unexpectedly freezing on our wedding day. Overall, we would definitely recommend Heather Saul. She is incredibly sweet, but knows how to take charge when it’s needed.

Heather was the first officiant we met with, and after our meeting we didn't feel like we needed to meet anyone else. We were totally comfortable with her. We only had a general idea of what we wanted, but she was able to give us some guidance as to what might work for us. She basically gives you as much or as little help as you want. She was happy to let us write the ceremony ourselves but also provided a long list of options to use if we wanted. She was very professional and took care of all the paperwork. Every one thought the ceremony was beautiful. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to use Heather for our big day.

We decided to meet with Heather back in October after reading great reviews on her professionalism and responsiveness. After the first meeting, we knew we wanted to have Heather officiate our wedding. She made us feel comfortable with her friendly personality, and we could tell she truly loves her job. Heather sent us all of the necessary documents and we were able to select the portions we wanted for our ceremony to make it personal. We met with her one more time over skype to run through our selections and ask a few last minute questions that we had. Our ceremony was beautiful and flawless just they way we imagined it. Heather stuck around for a little while after the ceremony to guide our guests in the right direction and to make sure we didn't need anything else from her at that time. I really enjoyed working with her and would recommend Heather to any engaged couple looking for an officiant!

Heather was amazing! Responsive and flexible from setting up the first meeting through our wedding day, Heather was wonderful. She is attentive and professional and have us plenty of options. She kept it all very simple and organized. The ceremony was beautiful and she was natural and at ease. You can feel that she loves to do this. All of our guests commented on the content of the ceremony for which she should take credit as we only chose from a variety of readings, vows and gestures. We would very much recommend Heather for a ceremony!

We cannot express our appreciation enough for what Heather has done. Not only did she officiate our wedding, but she also was instrumental in making sure that the day went very smoothly! She personalized our vows just the way that we wanted them. In addition to that, she also helped make sure that small details of our wedding were not overlooked. She went above and beyond her duties as an officiant, and even contacted us afterwards to see if we needed any help with the name change process. She was very professional and friendly. Heather was such a joy to work with for our big day. She quickly welcomed my now wife and I to her home for a meeting and was always very timely with any responses needed throughout our entire experience whether it be email or phone call. She was very casual, friendly, and natural during our meeting so we really thought she would be a nice fit for us. Her website had a helpful ceremony options page that basically allowed us to customize the event. The day of the event I trusted she'd arrive timely which of course she did with no phone calls or odd issues, there she was. Heather looked lovely as I had expected she would based on her profession photographs I'd seen. She took charge of the event when need be and gathered our small group of guest to start the ceremony. She began and from start to finish it couldn't have gone better! It went over flawless on all levels in every way.

Heather was on our list of vendors for AVAM, but as soon as we met her, we knew we would not need to meet with any other officiants. She is warm and open to performing a ceremony that best fits your unique needs as a couple. Honestly, my ceremony was probably my favorite part of the day, and much of that had to do with the confidence I had in Heather and her desire to make our ceremony meaningful. Her template made designing our ceremony easy, but still personal. I would highly recommend Heather for any couple looking for a personal experience.

We enjoyed working with Heather and highly recommend her! She has many options to choose from for each part of the ceremony, which allowed us to put together a beautiful and personal ceremony. When we met with her for the first time, she was so helpful with letting us know what things we needed to do and she checked in with us a few times before our wedding day to make sure we were still on track. On our wedding day, she was so calm and relaxed, which was really nice because we definitely weren't! She did a great job of working with our DJ and photographer to ensure that everything went smoothly. Our ceremony was outside and there were a few distractions (small children rolling down a giant hill behind us!), but she handled them so well and really kept the focus on us. We got many, many compliments on our ceremony and are very happy that we chose her to officiate our wedding.

Heather made our day ours and no one else's! We were able to write our own vows along with using some suggested readings. She made the ceremony seem less ad even made people cry because it was so beautiful. My husband and I highly recommend Heather! One word for Heather – fantastic!! We were a bit nervous about picking an officiant online, 300 miles away, but it could not have worked out any better. After speaking to other officiants on the phone, we knew immediately when we spoke to Heather that she was the one! Her warm, calm nature was readily apparent. As a LGBT couple, she put us at ease with her beliefs that everyone should be able to marry the person they love.

When we met her in person, several months later, it was like meeting an old friend. Her positive energy just makes you feel very comfortable – even for two introverts! She also gave us additional ideas to incorporate into the ceremony to make it more intimate. We received many positive comments after the wedding about Heather and how beautiful the ceremony was. We would highly recommend Heather. It’s hard to imagine a better choice!

Heather came on a recommendation of a friend, and we didn't even meet with anyone else. We had no idea where to begin for our ceremony since both my fiancé and I come from different faiths. Heather made planning the aspects of our ceremony so smooth. What would have taken us days to figure out, we were able to plan in about 15 minutes with Heather's resources. Heather was very professional. We had a non-religious ceremony, with multiple faiths in attendance. She was still able to provide a spiritual and meaningful ceremony. She provided us with multiple scripts to choose from and we combined several elements to make the ceremony ours. Heather was amazing!!! She came highly recommended from our wedding planner Elle from Elle Ellinghaus Designs. Our wedding party consisted of myself (bride), groom and our 4 year old daughter, so we decided we didn't need to have a rehearsal. We wanted a very personal and intimate ceremony between the 3 of us. Elle was able to communicate exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. Heather gave us a great a starting point to plan our ceremony and was completely open to our ideas. We met Heather on the day of the ceremony and she made us feel completely comfortable. We just love the way she guided us in our ceremony. Everything turned out perfectly even without any rehearsal. We received so many compliments on how romantic and beautiful the ceremony was. We loved Heather as our officiant. She was completely game for our very modified ceremony and helped us figure out logistics. She brought along an assistant who was definitely helpful on the wedding day. I have very conservative parents, and I worried about their reaction to a female officiant, but they didn't say anything and I am really sure that a lot of it had to do with the professional way Heather carries herself. Afterwards, we heard from guests - many of them quite conservative - say that our ceremony was one of the most "meaningful" ones they'd ever witnessed.

Heater was great to work with! She gave us great ideas on how to write our ceremony and we took that for inspiration and came up with our own personal ceremony. She had no qualms about us changing a lot of things, in fact encouraged us to do so and she made the day of the ceremony very calm and smooth.

She greeted us both separately and was so personal and friendly. Our ceremony was outside on the deck where it was a bit windy so we ended up not using a microphone. She adapted to that and was loud and clear for everyone to hear and made us feel very confident in our ceremony and when speaking our vows.

I could not have been happier with my wedding ceremony as everything turned out perfectly. Heather was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. From the start, Heather addressed all of my questions and provided me with a document filled with wedding ceremony options. This document was amazing and it is something Heather has perfected throughout the years of her being an officiant. It contained some options that I had never seen before. I loved them and I ended up using them in my own ceremony. It is truly a great tool and it can help anyone customize their wedding ceremony to fit all of their wants and needs.

The moment I heard Heathers kind hearted voice and down to earth personality I knew she was the one for us. But making sure “I did my homework” I checked out her website some more and my husband and I made an appointment to meet with her in person. When we met her at the Gramercy Mansion, we just knew there couldn’t be anyone more perfect to officiate our wedding.
Her webpage is extremely helpful and very organized. RJ and I were amazed at how many different types of religious and non-religious ceremony choices there were. We were able to pick the perfect ceremony for us. It was so easy too. All I did was delete the options that we weren’t using and wala! Our ceremony was complete. Heather really has some lovely poems and readings to choose from too. We even had Heather do all of our reading do to some shyness issues with friends and she did an amazing job. She didn’t even skip a beat when the microphone the DJ provided stopped working. She just projected her voice a little more with the same kind hearted tone. Heather is absolutely amazing in every way!
Heather was there for us every step of the way and any question or concern we had was addressed immediately. Since she had worked at the Gramercy for quite some time she was able to give advice and answer questions regarding other vendors and best place for gift, card table, etc. She’s an absolute gem and we are so grateful to have had her to officiate our ceremony. She really made our ceremony beautiful and did an excellent job. Thank you Heather for being so amazing and for making our day so wonderful.

We had a contract for Heather's services as the officiant, but she never did the wedding because she had a baby the night before the wedding! She was very professional, warm, and friendly throughout the planning process. She told us in the first email contact that she was due the same month as the wedding and would understand if we wanted to choose someone else. In the beginning, she sends a document with lots of ceremony suggestions. It makes it easy for the bride and groom to pick, choose, add, delete and send back/forth. Heather made detailed notes in case a back-up was needed. Even though, Heather did not do my daughter's wedding, I would recommend her to anyone. MOB

I was slightly nervous about choosing an officiant online however for any wondering brides Heather is a great choice! Heather is very sweet and has a calming presence while also being organized and efficient. She sent us a variety of choices to make our unique ceremony and she also welcomed us to add our own ideas as well. Heather came to our rehearsal which I highly recommend because it was nice to walk through the ceremony in advance so everyone knew when and where they were needed during the ceremony. Heather was amazing in every sense of the word. She was available prior to, during and immediately after our wedding. When she first arrived for the wedding she was able to ensure everything was set up and ready to go, including making sure the DJ was in place. She ran between my wife and I before the ceremony to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions we had. She always got back to us when we had questions or concerns. I honestly can say I would not have been happier with anyone else!!!! Heather was an incredible officiant!

Heather Saul was fantastic. She had the knowledge and professionalism to take charge at our rehearsal and at the ceremony to lead our two families. She was very responsive to our questions throughout the process when we contacted her over a year ago. She is worth the money and will make your special day amazing.

Great wedding, no drama or issues. Any hick ups were dealt with and we had an awesome time. She was friendly and open. We would chose her again and again.

We called Heather just 2 days before our wedding after our scheduled officiant cancelled. Not only did she save the day by offering to officiate on such short notice, but she put us completely at ease and conducted the most beautiful, personal ceremony for us! She was easy to work with and graciously incorporated all the rituals we hoped to include. Her presence was one of the highlights of our special day and our family continues to compliment our choice in officiant. I highly recommend Heather!

Heather was an absolute God send for us. I planned to surprise my soon to be wife with a surprise wedding on her birthday. I worked closely with both the venue owner and Heather to get the ceremony all set up. Heather helped me so much with all the wording and parts for the ceremony, especially since we both have children from previous marriages that I wanted to include in the ceremony. I would recommend her to anyone at anytime. This is my thrid marriage and I can honestly say she was the best officant by far of any I have had or experienced from friends weddings. Thank you so much Heather you helped make our day even more perfect.

Heather was very pleasant to work with! She was always punctual in communications and answered all of our questions. She provided great information to help us plan our ceremony. Our guests had great things to say about her- she did a wonderful job performing our ceremony!

Finding an officiant for an outdoor wedding can be a challenge, and if I ever had to do it again, which I pray I won't, she would be my first choice in any setting. Heather offers the complete range of service and will taylor to your particular wishes around religion, poetry, duration etc. She has excellent vocal delivery overcoming extremely load backround noise with no technoloical assistance, has led an incredibly interesting life well worth hearing about over coffee, and repeatedly offered additional assistance outside her role as officiant.

We went through a few wedding officiants before we finally settled on one...come to find out a few weeks later that the one we had decided on was pregnant and her due date was around our wedding date. We had to find a new officiant in a relatively tight time frame (a few months, which in wedding time is critical). Many people were booked already, but luckily Heather wasn't! She's awesome. Heather is super nice, very genuine, and has such a sweet nature about her. She really put us at ease with her calm approach to everything. Heather is a pro and knows her stuff too! A few minutes before the ceremony, she re-adjusted our groomsmen's boutonnieres (since they had no idea how to put them on) and had them looking spiffy just in time for the ceremony. Overall, Heather is a wonderful addition to your wedding day -- you'll be blessed to have her marry you!!

Heather was great to work with and a great source for information when it came to planning out our wedding ceremony. We were able to use the information she provided to help make our ceremony truly personsal and a reflection of "us" as a couple. We are also glad we had Heather at the rehearsal. She kept everyone moving and on task. On the day of the wedding she also ensured that everyone was where they needed to be and made sure we started on time. We have received great compliments on Heather and we are so glad she was able to be apart of our special day.

Heather is a true professional. Sometimes in the whirlwind of the "big day" the ceremony gets forgotten but its really why you two are there and it deserves as much attention as the reception. We wanted a non-denominational ceremony that we could include a few personal touches into. We found a wonderful partner in planning just such a ceremony with Heather. She provides a wide variety of options and you go through it and choose from each section the parts you like. You can add/delete almost anything. She was wonderful the day we met to go over everything, she was organized and enthusiastic. She really took all the stress out of the planning process. The day of our wedding she did a beautiful job projecting and everyone commented to us what a nice ceremony we had (30 minutes in and out) and how good she was.

Heather helped personalize our ceremony to reflect us as a couple. She gave us a long list of contemporary reading choices and ways to word our vows and intro, etc. She was flexible and allowed us to personalize our ceremony however we wanted. She was also friendly and professional, performed our ceremony with a smile, and even created for us a personalized keepsake printout of our ceremony script. She is fantastic!

Heather did a great job at our ceremony. We were given the ability to pick and choose exactly what we wanted for entire serivce. She was very helpful throughout the process and we were very happy to have her as our Officiant.

Heather was wonderful!! One of the things we really liked was that in the beginning she gave us some guidelines and we were able to create a ceremony that was perfect for us. She was always very warm and friendly and easy to talk to, and her responses were always prompt. Another thing that we really liked was that she typed up our ceremony and gave it to us afterwards. Now it is in our curio cabinet with all of our other wedding memories. She was great!
