If I could give Gwen a 10/10, that may begin to approach my satisfaction with her services. Finding Gwen made me feel like the luckiest bride in the world, and looking at the pictures months later I'm still amazed at the results.

The Ann Arbor area has a tradition of great food. Also, my grandmother used to make wedding cakes for a living, so I my expectations for the cake were high. Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful. It felt like it represented our event perfectly, and most importantly, it was the best cake I have ever tasted (sorry Grandma!). The frosting melted in my mouth without being too sweet, and we had the freedom to customize the flavor of each layer so everyone got their favorite combination. It was everyone's favorite cake. It was also very reasonably priced.

Gwen's professionalism, her patience, her obvious joy with what she does, her willingness to make us part of the process, and her attention to detail made all of the cake related duties my favorite part of wedding planning, which, if you're a cake lover, is as it should be!

Gwen was a joy to work with and very flexible. Her cakes are delicious and moist! We went to a lot of nicer cake vendors and her cakes were definitely the tastiest! Not only were her cakes amazing, but she was definitely the most cost friendly as well. I think I spent a little over $300 for a 3 tiered cake and a grooms cake to feed 150 people and cake stand to rent, and we had TONS leftover. Our guests raved about the cake and loved it - one friend even said that he still dreams about the cake!

I gave her a picture of a cake design and she was able to replicate it almost exactly. She came to set up the cakes (we had a wedding cake and a grooms cake) during our cocktail hour and everything flowed very smoothly. Gwen worked with the venue coordinator to make sure she was on time and to plan the cake delivery. I can't wait to order more cakes in the future from her!

Gwen did an awesome job on our cake. She was very accomidating to meet us on a weekend and helped us narrow down our decision. She also did our rehearsal dinner cake. We got many compliments from our guests. Instead of freezing your top tier for your one year anniversary she makes you a fresh one, thus allowing for full use of the entire cake at the reception (saving money) and real enjoyment of a fresh cake on your anniversary.

Cake made for 130 not 150 as contracted for. Not enough for guests.Fresh flowers to be put on cake,. Flowers delivered a little late, Gwen did not return to put on cake. Said it was not her job. Cake left undecorated for reception, and bride's mother had to put flowers on it.
On contacting Gwen, Gwen said putting flowers on not her job, but a "courtesy". Did agree to refund the price of 20 slices of cake, but didn't know how she could have made that mistake. Waiting for check.

Our wedding cake was everything that we had hoped and imagined it would be. We took a picture of a cake in to Gwen, and she recreated it beautifully. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was delicious as well! It was so moist, and the filling was so tasty. Everyone was talking about how good the cake was. Gwen does an exceptional job without charging an arm and a leg. We're excited for our first anniversary cake, that she includes for free!

We loved, loved, loved Gwen's cake! It was so tasty and it looked beautiful. Our venue actually had a cake place that would have been included in our package, but we didn't love the cake at the tasting, so we decided to look around. We found Gwen's name on the Knot and called to set up a tasting. If you're in doubt, call to set up a tasting - it's so worth it! We had many compliments all night about how good the cake was. (We went with the chocolate cake with chocolate filling and also the white cake with raspberry glaze - so good!)

Gwen accommodated our special decoration needs and the wedding cake turned out just like we had imagined. The cake looked amazing with the lovely decorations and it tasted great! We love our cake! The cake was not expensive at all considering the complexity of the decoration. One of my close friends had used Gwen for her wedding. She had a great experience with her and she recommended Gwen to me for my wedding. I would definitely recommend Gwen to anyone else.

The cake Gwen made was really amazing. I had so many people come up to me after the wedding and complement the flavor combination and overall look of the cake.

i was very unhappy with the service. she lost our agreement, did the wrong cake fillings, did not pay attention to details like we wanted the layers offset.
And she failed to contact us when she had problems doing the design in fondant as agreed upon, and instead did it freehand in icing---exactly what we did not want.

Our cake was definitely delicious (actually neither my husband or I had a piece at the wedding, but the samples were amazing!). Gwen does a great job of letting you sample any flavors you want, she bakes an entire 6 inch cake for sampling! We had some difficulty with communication, I sometimes felt like she had forgotten about us. The cake looked nice, not exactly what I had pictured but that could be my fault since I didn't ask to see any decorating samples. Overall, I would recommend Gwen for her quality baking and delicious cakes, but if you are looking for an intricate design I'm not sure she would be the bext choice.

The cupcakes turned out with just white icing that looked like they were made by grade schoolers and then were handled very lousy such that the smudges on the icing are so obvious the first time you look at the display. The pictures I sent her had flower decoration on each cupcake and that's what I asked and all I got were ugly plain-looking cupcakes. The top cake had a few designs on it that looked very unfinished and we had asked for fresh strawberry cream filling and it had strawberry jelly instead. She was generous on providing sample cakes in the beginning but did not deliver on the big day. Prices were very good but the quality of the cakes and the design were not.

The service was wonderful! Gwen was so professional and easy to work with. She made sure everything was just the way we wanted it. She made our day very special. You couldn't ask for a more considerate or caring person to work with. I would recommend her service to anyone.

While my husband and I LOVED the dessert platters, and all of our guest gushed about how amazing the cupcakes, cookies, and pastries were our cake was sad. The taste of the cake was 5 star quality but the presentation of it was not what we paid for. We had asked for a cream colored cake, with wasabi colored beading, and floral and fern decorations on one spot at the bottom (we even gave her a picture of exactly what we wanted). What we got was a plain white cake with Kelly green (so green that it dyed our teeth, which was a concern I had voiced that I didn't want) squiggles in 3 spots on the sides of the cake. Again the cupcakes and other little desserts were amazing and beautiful but I wouldn't buy another cake from Gwen since presentation is extremely important to me.

The sample cakes were delicious and quite big so I was able to take some to my fiance. The actual cake was beautiful, moist and delectable. I love the variety of flavors and am looking forward to our one year anniversary cake that we'll get. Gwen has consistently provided excellent service for our family (multiple graduation, anniversary and wedding cakes). She arranged the flowers we provided on the cake upon delivery which worked out great.

This was the best cake we had ever tasted and was the best value! Only 2.50 a slice! Not only did they taste great, but our cake was beautiful! It was better than I could have hoped for. People were asking us all night long who had made the cake because it was so yummy! Plus, my husband and i aren't the type of people who save the top and freeze it for a year, and what makes this great is that she gives you a free 1st anniversary cake.
