Gidas did such a beautiful job with our flowers. I had a good feeling from the beginning as Amy was the only person we met with at various shops who actually brought in flowers to show us and went through different options to figure out exactly what we wanted. The flowers were way beyond expectations. I snuck down before putting on my dress to see everything and just started crying because everything looked so perfect. My cascading bouquet was phenomenal and I loved what they did with arch flowers, centerpieces, flowers for on the cake, and seating chart. I have been getting texts and calls for days from people asking who we got flowers through because they were so gorgeous. Throughout the whole process, the communication with Gidas was top notch and they were really receptive to extra things I added. -

Gidas Flowers was super responsive to my questions and needs throughout the planning process. They immediately responded when I reached out and scheduled a consultation meeting. The team took the time to discuss potential arrangements with me and reached out when they had questions. They answered questions via email in a timely manner. They arranged floral drop off with myself and the day of coordinator in a way that was timely for us all. The floral arrangements were beautiful and met my expectations. I look forward to preserving the bouquet and keeping the flowers as a forever memory. -

Gidas flowers did an amazing job with our daughter's wedding. Our daughter didn't know exactly what she wanted but she brought inspiration photos to the meeting and Laurie was able to find exactly the right style and vibe she was going for. In addition, our daughter did not live in Pittsburgh but the wedding was being held in Pittsburgh (our home town). Laurie did an excellent job of communicating through email and facetime to make sure our daughter felt included in every decision. We would absolutely use them again, especially for a large event that needed many hands.
The ONLY negative thing I would say, and it won't be a negative for all but may impact someone's ability to hire them for a large event, they do not take credit cards for large orders. Cash or check is all that is accepted for events. I think they do accept credit cards for in store purchases etc, but for large events, it's cash or check. This wasn't an issue for us as we had our daughter's wedding budget in mind when we booked with them, but for others it might be an issue. Other than that, however, there was not a single thing I would want any different! -

We originally had asked my in-laws to assist us in flower design, since they had recently done it for my sister-in-law's wedding, but a health issue arose that made that impossible. When we started to look for florists, we were only a few months out from the wedding. Gidas stepped right up and made everything we wanted possible. They never made us feel stressed about the short timeline, especially since we were getting married on a holiday (New Year's Eve). The initial consultation was like no one else's - Laurie sat with me and went through every single thing that we wanted, down to the specific flower and greenery preferred. The flowers were absolutely S T U N N I N G - we could not have asked for prettier arrangements. We got pieces for our arch, bouquets, wreath centerpieces, and small arrangements for our cocktail tables. Gidas made what was originally a very stressful part of our wedding into the smoothest part by far! We are so thankful for their work and their flowers! -

A family business with lots of experience
Laurie was so wonderful to work with. I knew nothing about flowers when I walked into their shop, but I felt very confident in them when I left. I had met with other florists, and none of them made me feel as comfortable as this one. Laurie spent time meeting with us, pulling samples of flowers so we could visualize exactly what we were getting. This is a family business, and it shows. Laurie even went the extra mile to meet with me a 2nd time closer to the wedding, attach a charm (a gift with photos of my late grandparents) to my bouquet, and help us choose the little details, like the perfect ribbon for the corsages. They did not push any purchases on us that weren't necessary and helped us stay within a reasonable price. -

Loved working with Gidas
Gidas, and specifically, Laurie was absolutely wonderful to work with for my wedding. I didn't have a precise vision of what I wanted for my wedding flowers, but at our initial meeting, Laurie helped guide me based on pictures I found on Pinterest and photos of the venue. When it came time for the mock up, it wasn't quite what we had envisioned, and on the spot she fixed it and made it perfect! It just goes to show how much she understood my vision and her desire to get it right. Throughout the process they were very communicative with me and with my wedding planners. The flowers at my wedding were show stopping, and I am so, so glad I chose Gidas! -

I am SO happy I went with Gidas Flowers. They were a great team to work with and were very affordable and really worked with me on keeping the costs to fit into my budget while also answering all my questions (which were a lot!!)… They gave me ideas on their own while totally doing what I asked. Between my mother and I we could be kinda bossy at times (I was a bride who knew what she wanted!) and they totally worked with us and were so nice and cooperative. Very responsive and I do not have one single complaint. They did a fabulous job. Chelsea Sent on 11/08/2015Gidas Flowers wowed me from the first consultation I had with them. Laurie and Carole were fantastic to work with and put me at ease. The perk of having the consultation in the shop is that Carole was able to run in the back and grab a flower she wanted to show me. She even spray painted some seeded eucalyptus as an example for me and showed me pictures of how they would incorporate it into the bouquets and centerpieces. Flowers are a lot of money but they were the only decor we were having. Gidas worked with us to give us everything we wanted and made great suggestions on how we could save a little bit of money as well. We purchased bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, flower girl petals, toss bouquet, aisle runner, glass votives and ceremony decor from Gidas for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, I was floored with how amazing the flowers were. They were even able to incorporate part of my mothers dress into my bouquet which was perfect. From start to finish, Gidas was phenomenal and were consummate professionals. -

Natalie Sent on 10/30/2015My husband and I used Gidas Flowers for our floral wedding decorations just a few weeks ago. We were impressed from the very beginning. They worked hard to stay within our budget, and were patient with us as we knew nothing about flowers at all. We had a few minor changes throughout the process, and they were great communicators the whole time. They created beautiful arrangements for the day of, including my bouquet, my bridesmaids’ bouquets, a small throw-away bouquet, boutonnières for our groomsmen and dads, corsages for our moms, and two large basket arrangements for in front of our church’s altar. (We planned on reusing everything for the reception.) All I knew going into our first appointment was that I wanted Fall-themed flowers, and they did a great job. Since our wedding was on a Saturday at 11am and they wouldn’t be able to deliver in time that morning, we had to pick up our flowers Friday afternoon. Everything worked out great and they were very accommodating. My then-fiancé picked up the flowers as arranged, and they were prepared and helped him load them into the car. They told me in advance everything that I would need to preserve the flowers overnight, and they were in beautiful shape for the wedding the next morning. They did a great job and we heartily recommend them! -

I have never seen more beautiful flowers. The colors were so vibrant! It was better than I could have imagined. Carole and Laurie were very helpful and receptive when we met to discuss the arrangements. They are so creative and have amazing ideas! They worked with me on my budget and helped to cut cost, but are worth every penny! Everyone is still talking about them! I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work! -

Things that we were not sure of, like how exactly we should show off our vases for our centerpieces, she had great ideas.. My bouquet of black magic roses was BEAUTIFUL! I loved all of my bridesmaids flowers. We got many, many compliments on our centerpieces. Communication via email was answered quickly, and any adjustments and/or changes made were done with no problem. I would definitely use them again! -

Gianna Sent on 06/23/2011Seriously, I don't think there are enough stars on here for Carole and Laurie from Gida's. They went above and beyond to create the most amazingly perfect arrangements and general service for my wedding that I have ever seen. When I first stepped into my reception venue I was literally blown away by how incredibly gorgeous the flowers and space were... I almost couldn't believe it was real. They did the flowers for my bridal shower and wedding and both times produced the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen.
I seriously can't say enough about these ladies and Gida's in general. They made the entire process so easy and I knew my wedding was in great hands the minute I met them. Carole understood what I wanted perfectly - It was like she took the images right out of my head and made it a reality, actually exceeding what I imagined!! She stayed all evening and made sure everything was exactly like I wanted it. She went out of her way to order me tulle overlays for the tables (among other things) and seriously made my wedding the most beautiful I have ever seen! I really can't thank or praise these ladies and Gida's enough!! I 150% recommend Gida's to anyone looking for exceptional service, amazing quality, and a wonderful experience! -

Beautiful flowers
I can't say enough good things about Gidas! They did the flowers for our wedding in October and did an amazing job. They were extremely responsive, helpful in figuring out exactly what we wanted, and did an amazing job. My bouquet was so beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend them, especially for weddings! -
