Can't say enough good things about Kirsten and the Four Winds team. They took care of everything from venue selection, helping with bands, rehearsal dinner planning, flowers, cake, decor, transportation, and rentals and photography were included (from Eventos Artesanos and Costa Vida Photo). We had the best experience with them! Every person said it was the best and most beautiful wedding they'd been to. All of the planning took place on Basecamp, so there weren't a thousand emails and phone calls to keep track of and everything was in one place, which was a huge help. Kirsten and her team were super responsive and helpful with ALL of my questions and were extremely patient with me! :) We had everything in place before I arrived in Costa Rica so I was able to fully enjoy being with friends and family and not worry about a thing! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and Kirsten really brought my dream wedding to life. Everything was absolutely perfect, not one thing went wrong, and I can't thank you guys enough!

I picked the perfect elopement vendor in choosing Four Winds. Kirsten and Belen were very responsive and helpful and provided great guidance and advice in planning an elopement in another country. Jonathan is an amazing photographer who was so much fun to work with. He really brought out my husband and I's our adventurous spirit and the photos were a blast to shoot!

We just returned from our wedding in Playa Grande, Costa Rica. Four Winds planned the entire event. They helped us find the villa where the wedding took place, took care of all furniture rentals and floral orders and provided photography services. They connected us to other vendors including the caterer, the hair/makeup artist and the transportation company. There was not a question they couldn't answer.

Four Winds used Basecamp to communicate with us. It was an easy to use website set up like a timeline. We always knew what we needed to do and what the team was working on. Items would get checked off as we went along and the To Do list got progressively smaller. The entire team was also very responsive. We highly recommend their services!

Can't say enough about how well Four Winds treated us. My wife and I eloped in Costa Rica in Feb. 2017, which included an 11-day trip around the country. Needless to say, with so many moving pieces we didn't do a whole lot of planning for the actual ceremony. Kirsten, Jonathan and KC took care of everything, from ceremony location, setting us up with an officiant, pictures, flowers, cake, and so much more. You get twice the services for what you pay, included peace of mind. Couldn't be happier with this experience, and give them my highest recommendation.

My husband and I used Four Winds Weddings in December 2016 for our wedding in Costa Rica for florals and furniture rentals. We could not have been happier!! Kirsten was responsive to all of our emails and listened to what we had in mind for design. She brought everything to life for our big day and it looked incredible! The furniture rentals (tables and chairs for reception, benches for ceremony and lighting for reception) looked amazing as well and added that perfect touch to bring everything together. The wedding we had in Costa Rica was more than l could have ever imagined, thanks to Four Winds. Kristen and her team made planning a destination wedding in Costa Rica easy and fun. All my fears of not having the flowers, decor, event design I wanted with a destination wedding were quickly dispelled. By sharing my Pinterest board/using basecamp to exchange ideas, Four Winds found us a beautiful wedding venue near a volcano with fun adventures for our wedding guests to enjoy. Assisted us with event rentals to our aesthetic and provided us with amazing photography when ours fell through last minute. I also truly recommend getting custom floral/event design by Kristen, her creativity with flowers is amazing. My wedding day went by so fast and it's the flowers I remember the most. Can't thank Four Winds enough for making the best day of my life beautiful.

The entire team at Four Winds Wedding and Events were phenomenal to work with. From day one my husband and I knew we wanted a beautiful, stress free elopement. However, trying to plan a wedding in a different country was an overwhelming task. Kirsten and Belen simplified the process for us and made sure every aspect of our special day was perfect. Not only did they provide us with a ton of options to ensure our ceremony was exactly like we pictured, but they also handled all the small details that we would never have thought of.
They took care of everything from transportation, lodging, hair and makeup, finding and scheduling an officiant, flowers and more. They even planned the most amazing picnic for my husband and I after we said I do' My husband and I will forever remember sitting on the blanket by the waterfall, drinking champagne and eating the most delicious cheesecake! It really was our favorite part and we were blown away by her efforts! I really don't know what we would have done without this team. Thank you Four Winds for all of your hard work and for making our day so special!

Planning a wedding from another country is not the easiest. Our biggest fear was that we were not going to be able to find someone that was going to help us carry out our vision. We began planning our wedding a year in advance with a specific vision and style in mind. When we came across Kirsten at FourWindsWeddings, we knew immediately that she was going to deliver us everything we imagined. Besides her amazing style and calm demeanor, her attention to detail went beyond our expectations.
Utilizing Pinterest, inspiration boards, and Basecamp, we exchanged ideas piece by piece. She is excellent at communicating and responded to our emails promptly. We not only hired her for floral design, décor, and rentals, but used her wedding planning package as well. She is worth every single penny. Her flowers were insanely gorgeous, her décor was natural yet glamorous, and design is of utmost quality.
Kirsten eased all of our fears and concerns with her detail oriented and thorough personality. She continuously reassured us that our wedding would be beautiful. She worked well with our hotel wedding planner to come up with the logistics and timeline. She took every responsibility out of our hands and treated our wedding like if it were her own. She is phenomenal. Hiring her was the best decision we made for our wedding. Her designs blew us away and we almost cried when we saw the final setup. Along with her husband who was our photographer (Costa Vida Photography), their team helped make our dream wedding become a reality. If you are planning on having your wedding in Costa Rica, it would do you a great service to call Four Winds and have Kirsten and her team put together your dream wedding.

Planning a wedding in Costa Rica from Los Angeles seemed like a big task at first; but once we decided to have Four Winds plan our big day, it was truly a great experience from start to finish. They worked with us from the very beginning (a year and a few months before our wedding day) up until everyone left the reception on our wedding night. We worked together over their cloud-based system online with a few Skype calls here and there. They make it really simple by providing a customized website with checklists for every facet of a wedding. They guide you along the way and make sure nothing is missed. They even handled the legal services needed to be married in Costa Rica. As a coordinator myself, I had very high expectations and Four Winds far exceeded my expectations when it came to the planning. They are very experienced and their guidance is invaluable. They are knowledgable of many different vendors and handle booking and communication with said vendors which is very helpful in a place like Costa Rica.

Their style and taste is impeccable and they are experts in bringing your vision to life. We weren't particularly set on any specific colors/decor/flowers. We just knew the "vibe" we wanted and Four Winds made it happen through incredible details and decor. So many guests told us it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had ever attended and this was thanks to the Four Winds team.

The rehearsal and wedding day flowed perfectly. Kirsten, Katja, Jonathan and Belen are an amazing team and wonderful people to work with. The fact that we arrived in Costa Rica 4 days before the wedding and did nothing but spend time with our family and friends (since everything was done) speaks to their level of professionalism and dedication. We can't thank them enough.

They were with us every step of the way and were always prompt, professional, and responsive. They are a creative team and worked with us to create the wedding we envisioned. I have absolutely nothing but the best things to say about working with the Four Wind team. My husband and I wanted to have a fantastic party to celebrate the day that we had started dating 7 years before and for our wedding - Four Winds definitely delivered!

What drew me first to this company were the fantastic photos from weddings that exhibited Kirsten's beautiful vision for boho chic decorations and perfect use of florals. From the beginning they were prompt with communication and clear about package options. They work through a very user-friendly website to communicate about all aspects of the wedding. Kirsten and her assistant genuinely try to grasp your style and vision for the event and offer fantastic rentals through their company. They also have a wonderful list of vendors in Costa Rica that were a pleasure to work with and delivered exactly the quality of service projected (Hair/makeup, cake, venues, transportation, musicians, etc).

The day of our wedding could not have been more perfect. The timeline was perfectly planned out and everything ran smoothly. The team knew exactly how to set the venue up and what would work best for our guests. Jonathan, the photographer, is also very skilled with knowing what locations and lighting were going to be best to take pictures. When I arrived to the ceremony my breath was taken away at how magical everything had turned out. For the rest of the night our guests had the biggest smiles you have ever seen on their faces and everyone could not stop saying it had been the best wedding they have ever been too (people were in utter shock at how fantastic it was). No one wanted to leave at the end of the night.

So in the end, I highly recommend using this company for weddings. I am so happy I chose to get married in Costa Rica and chose a stress-free style of planning my wedding. This team is fantastic and is very set on delivering the wedding of your dreams. Thank you!

We worked with Kirsten and the Four Winds Weddings and Events team for our small, family wedding. What attracted us to Four Winds Weddings was the sheer beauty in everything they do. We trusted that they would be able to take our general ideas and turn them into something beautiful, and they delivered. Everything was perfect. The flowers were breathtaking, the décor was amazing, and all the little details came together just as we had imagined.

The best part of the experience was working with kind, professional people who went out of their way to make our day special. We had a lot of anxiety about planning a wedding, especially a wedding in a place we had only ever seen on-line. We had no idea if what we were envisioning would actually work once we arrived. When we first met with Kirsten and Jonathan at our venue in Costa Rica, they instantly put our minds at ease. They assured us they would make it all work and they did.

We have the fondest memories of our wedding in Costa Rica. Kirsten and Jonathan made the planning process seamless. They were able to guide us through each of the steps and made sure that all aspects of the planning process were covered.

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Our guests had an amazing time and we were able to spend our time relaxing and enjoying the day (and week!). Many of the guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and of course we agreed.

The team at Four Winds has the ability to manage the planning process and at the same time deliver an event that exceeds your expectations. Our wedding could not have been any better thanks to them.

Working with Kirsten, Jonathan, Kristen, and the rest of the Four Winds Team was absolutely the best choice my husband and I made in planning our wedding!! When my fiance and I decided on a destination wedding in Costa Rica, we knew immediately we'd need some help. Thankfully our photographers recommended the team at Four Winds. After emailing and Skyping with them, we knew they were the ones to work with.

Kirsten's eye for design is incredible while Jonathan's expertise and Kristen's day-to-day support proved invaluable time and time again. From directing us to the best location in the country for our time of year to helping us find our incredible hotel all the way down to tying the place cards on mini bottles, we couldn't have executed our wedding without them. My husband is an architect so we had a very specific vision for our day and they were able to pull everything together flawlessly.

Kirsten provided all of the floral work for us as well and our flowers were amazing. She also took an idea for our altar I found in a magazine and turned it into reality. It's now one of my favorite pieces of the whole event, looking back.

The addition of Kristen and using Basecamp really made us feel at peace as we neared the wedding day. We heard from them almost daily and we knew that all the small, final details were in great hands. They answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly and provided thoughtful guidance the whole way.

We can't recommend the team at Four Winds enough. There isn't a thing we would change about our wedding day and that is largely thanks to their incredible work. If you have an opportunity to work with them, do it!

We loved working with Jonathan and Kirsten. Jonathan did more of the planning while Kirsten worked on the overall design. They took our jumbled ideas for our wedding and made them a beautiful reality. They helped us hire some of the best vendors in Costa Rica and were really fun to have around on the wedding day. They're down to earth which made it easy to get along with them. They understood our vision from the beginning which is why we hired them, so glad we had them aboard for the big day.

When we decided to have a destination wedding, it was visiting Four Winds' website that lead us to get married in Costa Rica. We instantly knew after our first call with Kirsten and Jon that they were the ones for us!
The planning process was very professional and they did a great job at balancing an eager bride and slower costa rican vendors :) Every recommendation was bang on from the music to the venues, desert suppliers, hair and décor ideas. They have the experience to know how to direct a bride and they're not afraid to let you know what they think which I really appreciated.
They also have amazing ideas. Kirsten was so wonderful at getting a sense for what I wanted and helping me make it a reality. We didn't have a huge budget or want to be too elaborate and she was able to work within that and help us create the perfect setting. Many have said it looked like it was out of a magazine and I agree! The flowers were so PERFECT and beautiful. I wish I could have kept them forever - SO wonderful.
And Jonathan (costa vida photography) did our photos as well. Of course, like everything else about our wedding, the photos were beyond expectations. Jonathan used our rather tight schedule perfectly and was able to get everything we wanted. His creativity, swiftness and ability to make people who hate photos look natural was what has given us wedding pics to last a lifetime.
Lastly, Ivy, who was our wedding day coordinator was our time keeper extraordinaire. I literally hadn't seen the venue until showing up that day in my dress so she was perfect at telling us what was what and keeping everything on point.
I can't imagine our day without the crew at Four Winds. They will delivery your dream wedding and more - no doubt.

I hired Four Winds in February of this year to assist in planning and coordinating our December wedding. After a consultation via phone with Kirsten and Jonathan, I was convinced they were the perfect team to not only secure our vendors (i.e. do the hard part!) but also put together an extraordinary setting. First and foremost, their coordination and handling of booking our vendors was so incredibly valuable that I could have never ever done any of it without them. They provided us with a few options for venues with extensive photos and eventually a 360 virtual tour of our selected venue. We did not have time or anything in our budget for a site visit, so relied 100% on their word and the visuals they provided. The location was magnificent and we were immediately excited once we saw it in person. Then came the fun part - the wedding design and floral planning. After discussing my vision, Kirsten provided an inspiration board with details of her plans. We worked through the specifics over the course of the next couple months - with her handling the local stuff and me DIYing some design elements to bring out with us. It all came together so perfectly. Kirsten's level of creativity is off the charts and her impeccable taste and attention to detail made our wedding day the most beautiful and perfect day I could have ever hoped for.

As we were reminiscing the wedding in the few days we had left with our family in Costa Rica, everyone agreed that no other destination wedding could compare to ours, that we've truly set the bar! All of my credit goes to Kirsten, for turning our inspiration into the real deal!

Kirsten and Jonathan are absolutely amazing. they are so knowledgeable about wedding details and preparations. they made our day so special and we could not have done it without them.
we contemplated spending the money on a planner for our wedding and whether or not we thought it was worth it. kirsten and jonathan, ended up saving us as much money as the cost us and we didn't have the headache of having to contact vendors. it was so nice to have them as a liaison, between us and the vendors. especially with a language barrier, and being in a different country.
their easy laid back attitudes, were good to keep the planning stress free and they always did what they committed to.
we would recommend them to anyone considering a destination wedding within their realm of expertise and wouldn't change the fact that they were there for us on our day!! they are such amazing people and we are now proud to say we can consider them friends and not just our wedding planners!!

Our wedding was incredible, mainly due to Four Winds Weddings and Events! The decor and style was beautiful and unique! They also arranged for the officiant (who we loved by the way), our reception dinner caterer, as well as giving us advice on activities and things to see while in Costa Rica. Four Winds Weddings was absolutely wonderful. They were fantastic to work with from the beginning, middle and end. Not only did Kirsten take into consideration ALL of the concepts and inspirations I presented to her- she created a dream of beautiful flowers arranged throughout our ceremony (from bouquets and boutineers to aisle ends) and reception (the table arrangements were to die for!).
