Maria and Larry are floral geniuses!

My now husband and I had the pleasure of working with Maria and Larry as our florist for our October 22nd wedding. Our venue (Crystal Springs Resort) lists Maria and Larry as a preferred vendor and there is no question why. From the outset, they were invested and interested in our vision. They showed us examples and were not trying to overcharge us for unnecessary extras. We wanted a soft fall color scheme and wanted to use real pumpkins in our centerpieces and Maria and Larry came through! We received many compliments from venue staff and guests about the flowers. Larry was also able to accommodate attaching two sentimental tallises to an outdoor arch on a windy day. Highly recommended! Thank you for helping make our day beautiful.

Highly recommend

Maria and Larry designed our florals for our April 2023 wedding at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg, NJ. They were personable and able to accommodate are relatively quick timeline. They sent us lots of suggestions to ensure they matched what we were looking for. It was raining the day of our ceremony and they were able to adapt the display for our outside arch into one that fit the inside arch. Their pricing was also very reasonable and flexible. We were able to make decisions to ensure we stayed in budget. We highly recommend them!

Couldn't be happier!!

Maria and Larry did such a fantastic job with our flowers!! We first met Maria and Larry around 8 months before our wedding. We discussed prior to our meeting what we were looking for. When we met for our meeting, Maria and Larry had put together a sample center piece for us to look at. And they NAILED it! It was perfect and after that we couldn't wait to work with them.

On the day of the wedding, Maria and Larry took care of decorating the arch, the aisle, the center pieces, the cocktail hour, and our bouquets and boutonnieres (of course!). My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! It brought me to tears. Everything was set up so perfectly, we were in awe. Thank you, Maria and Larry, for helping to create our dream wedding!

From the moment we met them, we knew we were in the hands of true artists, and they brought our floral dreams to life in the most magical way!

Fresh and Full Bouquets

Maria and Larry were absolutely amazing for our wedding! We had full and fresh bouquets, center pieces, arch sprays and memorial table flowers. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process and helped up put together our center pieces. They were on time the day of the wedding and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They made sure everything was ready to go and all the bouquets were full with vibrant and fresh flowers. We couldn't have asked for better fresh flowers that held all night and even the week after. We highly recommend Maria and Larry for anyone needing wedding flowers, they truly helped us through the process and Maria explained to us all of the fresh flowers, colors and what was in seasons etc., she taught us a lot at the same time as ensuring we would have the best flowers for our perfect day.

Amazing Transformation

Maria and Larry were a true pleasure to work with. They make the process of deciding what can be done to make your day special without going over budget. My friend got married at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg, New Jersey. The location is beautiful, however the bare bones of the reception venue definitely need a soft touch. Maria and Larry to the rescue. The way they were able to transform that space into a light and airy floral oasis is beyond me. It went from a pub like room to a romantic, beautiful and elegant reception area. All of the little touches on the centerpieces, the arrangement of dangling flowers and leaves from the ceiling over the dance floor, the graceful drapery in the entrance way and so much more. You can tell they put love and attention to everything that they do and it was truly appreciated by all of the guests.

AMAZING florist!!!

I can’t even begin to say how amazing and beautiful our wedding flowers came out!! We found Floral expressions in our venue’s brochure of preferred vendors and we can’t thank them enough for making our vision come to life! We loved working with Maria and Larry for our wedding! They were more than flexible when we had to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021. We loved that they only supply one wedding per day. They worked with our budget and provided us with BEAUTIFUL bouquets, boutonnieres, duchess roses for the mothers, centerpieces, cake decor, and flowers for our Welcome Sign. Gorgeous Job!

Simply Lovely

Maria is simply amazing and conducts her business with passion! The center pieces she puts together was the perfect accent to our wedding decor! I showed her a picture and rambled on how I wanted a rustic/chic kinda mood with lanterns and candles also playing a big part. With just that vague description, she created exactly what I’d envisioned. She had so many great suggestions and helped us picked flowers that would do well with the season/whether. She was very flexible (especially since we had to rescheduled and reshuffled everything due to Covid). Was very professional and delivered everything on time and organized the most beautiful setup. I could not have been more pleased with the setup and how everything turned out.

Fantastic Experience! Wow! Danielle's Wedding

Our daughter Danielle had her wedding and reception at the Crystal Springs Grand Cascades Lodge in Hamburg New Jersey on Sunday July 28, 2019.
Danielle and her fiancé, Landon, do not live in New Jersey. So, when looking for a florist for the wedding they decided to look at vendors that were recommended by their venue. Floral Expressions was on the list. So, Danielle contacted Maria and Larry, owners of Floral Expressions, via facetime, to see if they were available and if they would be a good fit for her wedding. (Moose, Danielle & Landon’s chocolate lab, also participated). Danielle made an immediate connection with Maria and Larry. Danielle had decided that Maria and Larry were doing the wedding and started looking forward to seeing her vision come together. After speaking with them a few more times, Danielle sent them some photos of what she had in mind for her bouquets, arbor, and center pieces. We met with Maria and Larry when Danielle was back in New Jersey. When we walked into their office we immediately recognized the center piece for the wedding reception. Maria and Larry had taken the information Danielle provided, and turned it into exactly what she wanted. The meeting went very well as the bouquets that were shown, were again, exactly what Danielle had requested. Maria and Larry then showed Danielle a photo of the arbor which complimented the rest of the flowers perfectly and tied everything together. We were very impressed that Maria and Larry listened to Danielle and never tried to recommend a different vision for her wedding. As the wedding started to get closer the communication was excellent and before we knew it, her wedding day had arrived. The flowers were amazing! We could not have been happier at how Danielle’s vision came to life in the flowers for the arbor, the bouquets for the girls, the cocktail hour centerpieces, and the centerpieces for the reception. Everywhere we looked we saw exactly what Danielle had envisioned. Larry and Maria were so easy to work with through the entire process and delivered in a big way on the day of the wedding! The flowers were perfect!
We received so many compliments on the flowers at the wedding and continued to hear more accolades many days after the big day. We highly recommend Maria and Larry as they were always available, professional and very competitive with their pricing. They exceeded our expectations and we are grateful to have had such a wonderful experience.

Perfect Florals

This review is long overdue. I got married last October at the Woodcliff Manor in NJ, and I highly recommend Larry & Maria Floral Expressions. I came to Larry with an idea of using succulents, and he created super creative centerpieces that looked awesome and captured the whimsical and nature-inspired vibe of the wedding. Also, I didn’t really have any idea what I wanted for my bouquet, just overall style and colors, and the ones he created were perfect for the venue, time of year, and style I wanted. The first time I worked with Maria & Larry was 12 years ago and I have worked with them again for my Oct wedding. They offer great value, make beautiful arrangements, are easy to work with and can bring your vision to life. I loved my flowers from the bouquets to the ceremony to the reception. Worked with Larry and Maria to plan flowers for our wedding. My wife's bouquet was the most beautiful I've ever seen. Larry was very helpful when picking out flowers. We didn't know the first thing about flowers, we spent 2 hours with Larry (mostly answering our questions) and at the end we had beautiful flowers. They do a really pretty flower for the mothers of bride/groom. Larry delivered the flowers on time, at various locations. Very pleased with their service!

We met with Larry 2 months before the wedding and decided not to go anywhere else. He made me feel very comfortable and I believe it is extremely important to trust your vendors. Maria and Larry were amazing to work with! I contacted them extremely last minute (just about 2 weeks before wedding day) and they were able to not only accommodate our request, but really provided the highest quality and friendliest service I could imagine. We got my bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 6 boutonnieres, a beautiful duchess rose for my mom, and some loose eucalyptus that we incorporated into our DIY centerpieces. The bouquet and boutonniere arrangements were EXACTLY what we were looking for. I don't know much about flowers or decor-talk but Maria fully understood what I was looking for and we really couldn't be happier with their service!

A rate of five stars is not nearly enough for Floral Expressions by Maria and Larry! I am so incredibly happy with the job they did for my rustic, December wedding. I shared my ideas with Maria and she transformed them into something magical. The bouquets were absolutely gorgeous, and the centerpieces and arbor were so beautiful and exactly what I wanted and more. As the bride you never know what you are going to get on the day of your wedding, and you just hope for the best that everything turned out the way you wanted it to. Maria and Larry exceeded my expectations by a mile. I got so many compliments on the day of the wedding with how beautiful the flowers and the room looked, and my bridesmaids were so in love with their bouquets. So happy I decided to go with Maria and Larry for my wedding flowers. They have tons of experience in the business that I knew they were going to do a great job. My flowers came out gorgeous and all my guests raved about how beautiful they were. Larry had such great ideas and was able to bring my vision to life. He was also able to work within my budget and was very flexible, which was really convenient. I would definitely recommend!!

I cannot stress enough how much I LOVED my flowers!!! I was overwhelmed with how amazing the bouquets turned out & how gorgeous the centerpieces were, all while staying within my budget. When I saw the gazebo for the first time, it took my breath away at how beautiful it looked. Throughout the entire process, Maria & Larry were an absolute pleasure to work with! Maria took my vision of a perfect Fall wedding & created the exact color palette of my dreams. Months later all our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the flowers were! HIGHLY recommend them!

Maria and Larry were an easy choice for a florist because my older sister used them for her wedding and everything was beautiful. They were wonderful to work with and set up meetings to go over every detail prior to the wedding and allow you to see the centerpiece you design together. The arrangements were flawless and exactly what I asked for. Pricing was an incredible value and Maria truly worked with me to make sure that I was able to stay within my budget without big compromises. So happy I was able to work with them to make the floral arrangements more than I could have dreamed of for my wedding day!

Maria and Larry were absolutely wonderful in creating and executing the vision we had of what we wanted our wedding to look like! We wanted a very simple, but somewhat unique design for our tables which included wine bottles, miscellaneous glassware and hardcover books. We didn't have any specific flowers in mind, just something in season and in our color palette. Maria and Larry knew exactly what to do! They have done numerous weddings at our venue, so they were very familiar with the staff and room setup and gave us many helpful suggestions as to how to get the look we wanted. They were also very interested in our input and respectful of our budget. It was a pleasure to work with them and we would gladly recommend them to any bride and groom!

My husband and I got married on October 17th, 2015. We went to many florist appointments and in the end none of the florists compared to Floral Expressions by Maria and Larry. They are truly wonderful people with an incredibly welcoming business model as they literally invite you into their home (their showroom is off of their main house) and are incredibly attentive to detail. My husband and I did not have similar concepts in mind. Larry and Maria worked with both of our concepts and spent far longer with us than other florists did and they never pressured us in any way. When the day finally came we had very high expectations, but could never have imagined they would exceed them to such a degree. The flower arrangements they created for us were a perfect representation of all of the ideas and surpassed even the most beautiful samples at any florist showroom we had seen.

They are true artists and although this is their business they will never pressure you on your budget or your vision. We had originally want all high centerpieces. Maria and Larry went to our venue, reviewed the floor plan, spoke with the staff and ultimately suggested that we use a mix of high and low centerpieces which cost us less money and gave the room a magical flowing appearance. The flowers themselves were all the freshest that we had ever seen. The bouquets were exquisite and delicate in appearance, but held together throughout the entire evening. We also used them for the church and cake decorating which was wonderful and kept with our theme. Our guests were amazed at the floral arrangements that they created.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience and would recommend them to anyone.

Maria and Larry are truly the best! Not only were they professional, they also made our wedding special by making the most beautiful centerpieces, church arrangements, and bouquets for our September wedding. When I first met Maria, she was so approachable and she really made me feel so special. There was not doubt after that first meeting that I would choose her and Larry as my official Florist for my special day.
Maria and Larry delivered such fresh, gorgeous flowers for my wedding. They were on point with every single detail and what really impressed me was that they made me and my husband feel like we were their family. Family takes care of each other and thats what they did on that 26th day of September. They made me such a happy bride when they took care of my beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets!
I truly have the utmost respect and love for both of them. I would recommend Floral Expressions by Maria and Larry to anyone that is planning a wedding!

Maria and Larry did a wonderful job at our daughter's wedding. My daughter wanted a garden theme and what better way to express that than with flowers. The gazebo was breathtaking with flowers, hanging florals and greenery in all the colors that her heart was set on. Peaches and purples in every hue. The venue tables were exquisite with tall twining branches representing small trees with large floral tops cascading so elegantly with assorted peach and purple. Maria and Larry captured her dream in creating her vision through flowers abound and garden moss on all the display tables.
The personal service you receive with never be duplicated by a floral factory vendor. They will work with you and they will make your wedding dream come true!!!

We enjoyed an entirely positive experience with F.E. by Maria and Larry. During two 'planning' meetings they were very patient in helping us crystallize our vision for the bridal party's flowers and the decorations for the venue. Flowers were delivered on time, as planned, and the arrangements - particularly the bride's bouquet - were beautiful. We feel fortunate that we dealt with 'professionals' at a fair price.

This actually wasn't for my wedding, although I had wished I was able to use Maria and Larry for my wedding! This was for my company's Holiday Party. Everything turned out great! Maria and Larry were able to keep within my budget when I showed them a picture of what I wanted even having 40 tables! The centerpieces were elegant and everyone at my job loved them! I will definitely use them again for any occasion I need flowers for!

Larry was an absolute pleasure to work with, and he did an AMAZING job on our flowers and decorations. Even the venue said the archway for the ceremony was the most beautiful they had ever seen! Our bouquets were gorgeous, too. Larry spent a tremendous amount of time meeting with me to discuss possible arrangements, and he was enthusiastic throughout the process. You can tell he is a real artist! On our wedding day, he arrived over an hour earlier than agreed to make sure everything was perfect for us. He really captured the feel we were going for, too.

Maria and Larry created beautiful, unique hand tied bouquets, ceremony decorations and table centerpieces for our wedding. Maria's patience during the design period greatly appreciated! We had no idea what we wanted during our first meeting, and Maria patiently described possible suggestions and helped us narrow down the choices. My bouquet of roses and orchids was simply amazing and truly unique. The wedding party flowers and the venue decorations were spot-on. I loved what they designed and delivered for our wedding. When I walked into my wedding reception the first thing that caught my eyes were the beautiful center pieces. I received so many compliments. The moment I walked into Marie office I knew I was placing my trust in the right hands. Never once did I have a doubts. the ideas we talk about during our meeting matched perfected the day of the wedding, and was even more beautiful then I could ever imagine . Right from the start - working with Larry and Maria was such a pleasure. My daughter and her husband had a vision of what they wanted but were also conscious of staying within their budget. Larry went above and beyond to work with them. The ceremony and reception was at Seasons and they created such a beautiful atmosphere. Both Larry and Maria were their to set up the ceremony and afterwards to set up each centerpiece on the tables. People are still talking about how gorgeous the flowers were. flower design and arrangements are absolutely beautiful.
We had our Oct wedding this weekend at the Grove and not only were the centerpieces, arch and bouquets just what the bride wanted (and as we know the brides are expecting everything to be amazing) rightfully so and it certainly was. The cake was also decorated PICTURE PERFECT.

I was recommended to Maria and Larry by 3 people so I was pretty sold on them when I walked in. Warm and friendly, I felt right at home. We sat down and talked about our green and brown color scheme and the decor we wanted. Centerpiece design was up in the air but luckily Maria had tons of ideas. For bouquets, etc., Maria was amazing at customizing the look for us and finding the perfect color of flowers. She was so flexible to work with. I liked everything right off the bat. We met again for a trial and the centerpiece I described wasn't what I wanted anymore. I was so decisive on everything for the wedding but the centerpieces were just not clear for me yet. Maria personally went back and forth with me on emails and i sent her so many pictures it would make your head spin but she looked at all of them and helped guide me in the right direction. Patience of a saint! I was finally inspired at a client's wedding and knew that I wanted to use wine boxes with flowers in them. After fixing them up, I delivered one to Maria and her mockup was just stunning. She was again flexible with how it would/could look with or without this or that. So many choices! We figured it out together and I delivered 20+ wine boxes to her house, filled with paper shredding as a base. I mean what an undertaking and she and Larry were amazing! EVERYONE at the wedding commented on our centerpieces and as gorgeous as they were, I couldn't stop looking at my gorgeous orchid and hydrangea bouquet of light green. Maria and Larry make you feel like family; they are honest, creative, fair and flexible with a designer's eye. They make it happen and I'm so glad that they were a part of our wedding day!

I have to say, as I've told Maria and Larry before, I enjoyed working with this vendor the most out of all my wedding vendors. Maria has patience of a Saint. I completely changed my flowers -- all my flowers -- three times. Not one huff, not one sigh, only encouragement. Maria wanted me to be happy. I gave poor Maria a very difficult order -- I wanted Lily of the Valley and Lilacs for my wedding the end of May. They are hard to come by as they are just out of season by then but Maria pulled it off. There were some flowers which I just could not get, but Maria knew what looked like the flowers I wanted and made my dream bouquet a reality. Honestly, the church altar flowers were so absolutely incredible -- they were breathtaking. They were so nice that Father kept them the next day for the First Communion children. Also very important was Maria kept in my budget. If something was changed, even at the last minute, Maria made it happen within the limitations I set for her. I wanted aqua sparkly tea lights all over the room. I pride myself as a Google search person, but I couldn't find them... and believe me, I tried. Maria found them for me and at a price lower than we expected. I'm not sure how many vendors would have done this, but Maria lowered the price of the bill on the flowers. What an honest person! I really appreciated having someone work for me that I trusted. Thank you so much Maria and Larry!

Larry was wonderful at our two meetings, listening to everything we wanted and making suggestions. You could just tell he knew his stuff! Everything went smoothly in the planning and on the day of the wedding, we had some doubts about whether we would have our ceremony outside because of the rain but Larry was very patient with us in waiting til the last minute to set up. Everything turned out beautifully! I was so happy with my bouquet that I decide to preserve it even though that wasn't my original plan-I just fell in love with it! Floral Expressions by Maria & Larry was the florist for our beautiful wedding at The View on June 30, 2013. I worked with Larry, who was most professional, warm, and accommodating. He thoughtfully discussed and designed our bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, and wrist corsages so that they matched our color palette and budget. The day of the wedding, he arrived early to deliver all of our flowers and presented me with my bouquet in the bridal suite. We had flowers in our wedding color placed on the wedding cake, and many guests complemented us on how gorgeous the cake looked.

I absolutely loved working with Maria and Larry! They took my many ideas and helped create a cohesive feeling in our wedding. The bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous and the corsages and boutonnieres were exactly what I wanted! The ceremony decor was SPOT ON and even more beautiful than I expected, and they really listened to what we wanted for the reception and boy did they deliver! Floral Expressions by Maria & Larry were recommended to us by a close friend of the family. We are thrilled that they saw our vision and made it a reality. We had a baseball themed wedding, but wanted to keep it elegant and classy at the same time. Maria was extremely creative and thought outside the box. Our centerpieces were full, fresh and vibrant along with my bouquet. The colors and flowers she recommended were perfect, just as I imagined it! They took the time and spent hours with us, and they were on time for delivery and set up. The flowers were so fantastic that not one centerpiece, floral arrangement or bouquet (yes I actually gave my bouquet away) left at the end of the day! Maria and Larry did a phenomenal job with our wedding! Friendly, experienced, creative, and attentive - they exceeded our expectations. They were suggested by our venue, The Colonial Inn, and we are very happy that we used their service.

Once we met Maria, it was pretty clear how experienced she was. The final result was proof that she was able to build off of our vague ideas and was able to execute a beautiful floral arrangement for our ceremony. Whatever remaining ideas that we may have lacked, Maria was able to fill in those gaps beyond our expectation.

The boutonnieres and bouquets arrived at our hotel fresh and beautiful. Members of our wedding party, who were recently married themselves, even noted how great and high quality everything looked.

We had a beautiful wedding on 10/26/12 and Larry was so incredibly patient and helpful throughout our planning process. Larry met with us multiple times because I made a few changes along the way to the flowers and each time we met, he gave us his opinions and it really was a team effort. The day of our wedding, Maria and Larry were there early, and everyone commented on how beautiful and amazing the arch was...it was truly a sight to see! My bouquet was exquisite and my bridesmaids' bouquets were also stunning. Our centerpieces were rustic and wrapped in birch bark, and the guests loved their uniqueness. Larry and Maria always got back to me quickly, were always friendly and helpful, and and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know. Thank you Larry and Maria for a wonderful job!!

From the very first meeting with Larry to the wedding day, he and Maria were knowledgeable, responsive and efficient. We had an extensive first meeting but left with all the information we needed to make a decision. During the planning time, Larry set up 2 centerpiece choices to help us decide. He listened carefully to what my daughter, the bride, wanted for colors and the overall look and feel for the ceremony and reception. They always listened and suggested. On the wedding day, Larry was at the Woodcliff Manor(Great place) very early and was in on the conference as to whether or not we could have the ceremony outside. He was always willing to be flexible and accommodating. He put all his talent and energy into building a beautiful arbor for the ceremony, the bouquets were perfect (as discussed and planned) and the centerpieces were a perfect compliment to the table setting. We received so many compliments on the flowers and the bride was especially happy about her aubergine bouquet! You will be happy with their talent, energy and service! We were!

My mother and I met with Larry at the shop in his house (which is adorable) and he did an excellent job of showing us all of the different options of centerpieces, bouquets and chuppahs. Larry was friendly, professional and accommodating. On the day of the wedding, he and his assistant had everything set up perfectly and on time. The flowers were the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I am sure every bride thinks that, but mine really were the most beautiful :) The chuppah was gorgeous and perfect for our late summer wedding and the centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. I especially liked the bridesmaids' bouquets and the groom’s orchid boutineer. Larry really paid attention to all of the small details to make everything look perfect. The flowers were on the pricey side, but I am so happy with the way they came out. Job well done.

Larry is AMAZING! I was definitely a high maintenance bride and he delivered beyond what I wanted. He even created a custom chuppa for me because my design was different than what he had ever done before. I also changed my mind a few times and he was always up for working with me and tweaking his design. Also, price is reasonable.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Maria and Larry. What a fun couple! It's inspiring to see couples who have been married for 30+ years in the wedding business. Maria is so creative and has such wonderful ideas, I felt such a connection with her the minute we met. She seemed to understand my vision better than I could! She listened to what it was I liked and didn't like. As far as pricing, we found her to be extremely reasonable. We had gone to another vendor first and they wanted to charge us $50 for a 3 rose bouquet. With 14 people in our bridal party, that was ridiculous. Maria and Larry even went as far as assembling our centerpieces that we had bought and planned on assembling on our own. Everything was beautiful and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Working with Floral Expressions was truly a great experience! Larry is so knowledgable and worked with me and my partner in helping to create our unique and out-of-the box arrangements. We originally had a date for our wedding on August 27...the day Hurricane Irene hit! Unfortunately, we had to cancel the day before due to the weather :( The table arrangements had already been prepared but Larry was kind enough to work with us on refunding us what he could and fairly adjusting the bill for when our new date comes. When planning our wedding, I was most concerned about the flowers because I looked on the internet and was completely overwhelmed by the amount of choices. We were on a budget and I heard all sorts of stories of how out of control people got with their flowers and centerpieces. Larry and Maria were perfect. Maria spent so much time with me and helped me to narrow down colors, types of flowers and the look of my centerpieces while keeping me within my budget. My wedding was in October so we did a beautiful fall theme of ivory, apricot and pumpkin orange with an accent of eggplant purple to match the bridesmaid's dresses. She created two different gorgeous centerpieces because I liked the idea of having more to look at than just the same flowers on every table. One was long vases with orchids that looked like they were suspended in air throughout the vase and the other huge mixed flower bouquets that included a few of the orchids used in the other vase. We also used candles to accent everything. She decorated our cake with flowers and Larry did a fantastic job on our chuppah. Everyone was talking about how gorgeous the room looked and the Manager of the country club was so impressed by their work that he asked me for their number. In addition, I thought I'd have to be more involved with making sure everything flowed correctly on the day of the wedding. Maria told me not to worry about it. She took the number of the Club manager and they arranged everything so I didn't have to think about it. I work full time and my mom is in Florida and my maid of honor in Chicago. I really needed a florist who I could count on to take care of everything without me having to get too involved and that's exactly what she did. With Maria and Larry you can be as involved or not involved as your time allows and you can completely count on getting 200% from them. I can't imagine them doing any better if it was a wedding for their own children. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a florist. You won't be disappointed.

We have had the privilege of working with Larry for our daughter's August 2011 wedding and also Maria for one of our other daughter’s wedding in December of 2011. They both are very easy to talk to...they are welcoming-providing a very relaxed atmosphere, which is helpful at a taxing time. They listen genuinely to what you have to say and guide and greatly enhance your vision. Their experience in the business is clear in every aspect of their work. They are sensitive to your floral needs and treat your wedding with great importance. The bridal bouquets were stunning, as were the centerpieces for the receptions. Their special touch was evident at the receptions as they did tremendous jobs on the wedding cakes and other areas at the venues. They are two lovely people who happen to be very talented at what they do and it was a pleasure meeting and working with them.

We interviewed 3 other floral services for our wedding. No one compared to Larry and his patience and ability to take our thoughts and design them into reality. Unfortunatly, our wedding was scheduled on the same day that Hurricane Irene hit causing us to have to cancel our wedding. Being that this was at the last minute and the flowers were already at Larry's, he put together all the arrangements and even offered to deliver them to whereever we choose. The flowers were stunning and his professionalism was very much appreciated. We will be using them again and I highly recommend their services.

Floral Expressions came highly recommended by our venue (Woodcliff Manor), and we were very happy with our experience. We worked with Larry, and when we first met him, we came in with some non-traditional concepts in mind. Larry took the time to work with us and our ideas to help us evolve and construct our concept. We ended up building a sample centerpiece right on the spot, and when we saw it, we know that's exactly what we wanted.

When the day of the wedding came, they came in and set everything up with no hassles or any involvement from us. Everything was done seamlessly and done well according to plan. I couldn't have asked for anything more! Great job!

Larry was just great. He staged the mansion at Natirar for our daughter's wedding. The fireplaces were sparkling with light and rose petals. The table flowerss were exactly what the bride and groomed wanted. They looked beautiful and elegant. He decorated the cakes, rooms and the hallyways with rose buds. The flikkering lights all around the mansion added a wonderful glow and an atmosphere that was elegant and inviting. Our guests commented on how beautiful the rooms looked.

We could not have been any happier with everything that Larry and Maria did for us. The flowers were beautiful, vibrant, and EXACTLY what we wanted! We saw a sample center piece about 2 months prior to the wedding and it got us so excited because it was more beautiful that we could have imagined. The bouquets were spectacular and looked amazing with the dresses. Larry and Maria created a beautiful Chuppah for us and were so patient on perfecting the final details of our ceremony, as we were not sure if it would be held indoors or outdoors. Maria and Larry are a brides best friend. Everyone knows planning a wedding is extremely stressful. One thing I kept worrying about was my vendors and whether or not they would gt everything right, or more importantly even remember to show up! Maria and Larry had everythig under co trip with ease. I planned my NJ wedding from VA and TX. During an initial visit to NJ I did my meetings to pick the vendors I would use and we chose Maria & Larry for flowers. I didn't have much for specifics in my flowers. All I knew was I wanted some calla lilies for their personal meaning to me. We went through the book of flowers a little, I think so she could see how I liked the seasonal flowers she expected to see and just make sure she didn't include flowers I thought were really ugly.

Besides that I just gave her the colors I wanted in the bouquets, clothing colors so she could use a matching ribbon color to wrap the flowers, and the number of pieces we needed. She asked me about what I wanted for decorations at the venue, which was beyond me. She is familiar with many(most? all?) of the venues in the area and could tell me what was a must have and any optional things I might want. No pressure to select expensive flowers or to get "optional" arrangements.

Considering my time restraints when planning in NJ, I was very happy that I could just tell Maria the colors I wanted for the flowers and didn't have to sit there and figure out every flower. If you talk to her, she will also tell you that she likes the flexibility because she is able to pick out the best flowers available. When the shipments come in the flower you selected might not look as nice as it should. (Have you ever received an arrangement someone sent to you of "beautiful" flowers that just didn't make it during shipping or maybe it wasn't in season and was came in was just a shadow of what you know it should look like?). So I would highly suggest giving any "must have" sentimental flowers, but leaving the rest up to her. My arrangements turned out beautiful.

After the initial visit we communicated through email, which is my preference. I had no problems receiving quick responses. They are very flexible; I had to add and subtract different pieces as crazy things seemed to happen in my bridal party. Even a few days before we had to add a boutonniere. Just let them know if changes occur and they will do their best to help.

On a side note, this was technically my second wedding. We had a tiny ceremony out in TX because of our situation. I got a bouquet and told the lady what I wanted. Not only did she try to guide me to other options I didn't want, but the end result was soo far from what I had envisioned. That bouquet's flowers looked like they were not what they could have/should have been. The roses were barely open. She didn't want to dye flowers blue, so she said she would put in lots of blue ribbon loops to account for the color. (She couldn't get any blue flowers either... I got a fake calla lilly from michael's put in the arrangement though) There were barely any blue loops, and she put in green leaf loops which I had told her I did not want. I was incredible disappointed in that bouquet.

So for general wedding advice, just be careful. Not every florist, or vendor for that matter, is trustworthy. Maria and Larry are, and without a detailed list of what I wanted were able to give me everything I wanted. If you're talking to someone and you feel like you're setting for something you don't really want, take another look around and see if you can find what you really want.

I would highly recommend Maria and Larry to any bride who wants to have exceptionally beautiful flowers at an extremely fair price. I met with Maria one night and she patiently answered all of my questions and provided awesome advice for over 2 hours and I hadn't even paid a deposit or booked her. She just genuinely cared about my vision for my wedding and wanted me to understand all of my options. She made my centerpieces, and even her daughter carved pumpkin luminaries for some of my centerpieces! They were absolutely stunning. My bouquet and bridesmaids' bouquets were gorgeous! She took what I had envisioned and completely "Wow'ed" me with the result. My jaw dropped at the reception when I saw the centerpieces. She does amazing work, and will work with your budget to ensure your day is as incredible (and more so!) as you imagined it!

I mostly worked with Maria. She was very accommodating right from the beginning. I explained what I was looking for and Maria made suggestions that would accommodate both my vision and my budget.

The wedding flowers for both the ceremony and reception were beautiful and exactly as I imagined they would be. The centerpieces were so beautiful...our guests snatched them up right away!! Everything was perfect.

After going to 4 florists and them telling myself and my now husband what we wanted and not one of them listening to what we wanted we finally saw Larry. He was a breath of fresh air. We conveyed to him what we wanted and he did a spectacular job. From the sample table arrangement to the day of the wedding we were kept informed every step of the way. I was under a great deal of stress trying to plan the wedding of my dreams in only 6 months having just moved halfway across the country. I found Floral Expressions by Maria & Larry online and they were the ONLY florist that actually had more than 2 or 3 photos of examples of flowers to view. This was extremely helpful to me as I had very limited time in person to make all the arrangements for my wedding. I viewed examples of hundreds of flowers for brides bouquets, table flowers, bridesmaid flowers, church flowers etc. on their website. I found some beautiful photos of table arrangements and called to price them. I spoke with Larry who was so pleasant, patient and willing to work with me to get me what I wanted in my budget. The day before I had an appointment with Larry, my connecting flight was cancelled leaving me stuck in the middle of the country with no luggage. The next day I took an early flight to NJ and drove straight to my appointment (not the ideal way to book your wedding flowers!) I was a bit frazzled but Larry was so kind and understanding he took all the time I needed to pick out my flowers. He also had a sample made up of what my table arrangements would look like based on our earlier conversations of what I wanted and my budget. When I walked in and saw the sample it was so absolutely gorgeous that I felt very confident that all my flowers were going to turn out fabulous!
Well brides everywhere let me just tell you that my flowers turned out more gorgeous than my wildest expectations!! My flowers were one of the very few things that turned out right with my wedding. My bouquet and my bridesmaid's bouquets turned out exactly as I had imagined! The colors in my bridesmaid's bouquets were so brilliant it caught my eye while I was on the altar that I remember that moment even today! The church flowers were just awesome and the table arrangements simply exquisite! When I saw the arrangement Maria, Larry's wife made for our head table, my jaw dropped! It was stunning!!! I had so much trouble with my other wedding vendors lying to me, cheating me and not having things turn out the way I wanted, that one of the happiest memories I have is how perfect my wedding flowers turned out. My experience with Floral Expressions by Maria & Larry was just wonderful, the quality of the flowers was above and beyond what I expected, the value unbeatable, their friendliness and professionalism exceptional, their willingness to get you what you want in your price range unbelievable! My mother dried my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets, my head table arrangement and the church flowers and has made some awesome dried flower arrangements so that my beautiful wedding flowers will live on!

I have nothing but good things to say about Floral Expressions. From our first meeting, Maria was very warm & friendly in addition to having the expertise necessary to make my day special. I showed her some photos of ideas I had & at our second meeting, she had a sample centerpiece prepared that was exactly what I had in mind. She was helpful with colors, ideas and also on how to save on pricing. Both Maria & Larry were very professional and handled every detail to my expectations. At the wedding, Larry had everything finished on schedule as requested. They created beautiful candle arrangements with baby rose wreaths which rested on mirrors. They were very elegant, just as I had imagined. The entire reception room had a romantic glow which reflected in the mirrors, plus the frangrant smell of the flowers just filled the room. My guests were raving the entire evening about the centerpieces & floral arrangements which were utilized for both the ceremony & reception. My centerpieces were created specifically so that everyone at the table took something home with them. I had many people ask who made the centerpieces & I am still getting compliments to this day. I still have the candle arrangements at home now & the rose wreaths have dried & look just as beautiful as they did on the wedding day. I wish that I could attach photos of Maria & Larry's work, but I'm sure they have photos when you contact them. Once again Floral Expressions played a huge part in making my wedding day very special & I would recommend them to anyone who is planning to get married.

Maria and Larry did a wonderful job with the flowers at our wedding August 2017 at the Pleasantdale Chateau. They were a pleasure to work with, listened to all our wishes, and were very flexible! We were so impressed with the arch they created for our ceremony, and our centerpieces were exactly what we wanted. It really helps that they do a sample centerpiece for you weeks before the wedding.

Maria and Larry are truly passionate about their flowers. That along with great work ethic is a combination for success. I loved working with them. I could not be happier with the centerpieces even though I did not get to see the final product for the tall pieces until the actual reception. They exceeded my expectations. As to bridal party bouquets, I could not believe how the color of the flower combination matched the fabric of the bridesmaids' dresses. That is even more impressive given that Maria saw the fabric on a photo only and, as you might know, there is a ton of shades when it comes to fabric choices. The delivery timing was perfect. Compared to some of the other places in NJ, their prices are moderate and they will work with you to get what you want. Don't be discouraged by the amount of choices. In case of doubt, just let Maria do her thing. I highly recommend this place.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience with Maria and Larry. Since my daughter was orchestrating her New Jersey wedding with me- she lives in Vermont and I live in NY- they were very flexible in accomodating our tight meeting schedule. They prepared a beautiful sample and really listened to what my daughter's very specific wishes were for her wedding. They met every high expectation and then some. They were so lovely to deal with. The flowers were beautiful! They did an amazing job! I recommend them highly!

Maria totally got what I was asking for for my winter themed wedding. The arrangements came out better than I imagined. I loved that she showed you sample center pieces before so you could see them and make any changes. I would suggest phone as opposed to email in terms of communicating, simply because we are from an email generation where we want a response within 2 hours - but rest assured their work is phenomenal and no one could come close to what they were offering for their prices.
