The best florist! Highly recommend!

Melinda is spectacular. She is so professional and helps to create a realistic vision. I came in with basic ideas of what I wanted and a budget, and she basically managed the rest! Melinda was very communicative on the types of florals, how to maximize on the space, and colors to highlight. I am still receiving compliments from our rehearsal dinner and wedding flowers. I could not recommend Festive Designs enough. I am so lucky I got the chance to work with them!

Beautiful flowers

We hired Festive Designs to make the flower arrangements for our wedding at Cass Winery in Paso Robles this year. Melinda did a fantastic job with the flowers - they were stunning. Further, Melinda was very flexible throughout the process. We had to move the wedding several times due to covid, and she was happy to accommodate each move and even rearranged her schedule when we nailed down our chosen date. We would highly recommend Festive Designs! Many thanks.

Beautiful Bouquets and Decor that Brought my Wedding Dreams to Life!

Melinda and her team did the most amazing job with the flowers for our wedding! The bouquets were stunning and the ceremony decor was better than i imagined it would be! I asked for some draping along our aisleway and they made it happen, too! The flowers were so fresh and lush and perfectly coordinated with our color theme. Melinda was very responsive and made communication through the planning process super easy!

Where to start with Melinda and Festive designs. When my wife and I started looking for a florist we were a tad bit nervous, with 2 brides, 6 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls, we needed to find someone who knew what they were doing. And man did we find the most perfect person. Melinda was tentive, creative and took or ideas and made them better than we expected. On the day of the wedding she stayed from the beginning and until the last arrangement made it on the table. She was so extremely nice, loving and the sweetest soul. Thank you Melinda for absolutely everything.

I cannot believe I was so fortunate to have Festive Designs create my dream bouquets for my wedding. Melinda, the owner, was such a pleasure to work with. She was so communicative and honest with every choice of flowers. She helped steer me in the right direction to make every color pop on my wedding day. The flowers arrived SO alive and fresh, and they smelled amazing. They lasted the entire night without dying because of Melinda's care. I received compliments all night on how gorgeous my flowers were, and I owe it all to Festive Designs.

I couldn't be happier with my wedding bouquet! I planned a wedding from Chicago and Melinda was so patient with me and my constant e-mails of photo inspiration. She was also very eager to stay within my budget which we appreciated. She offered some really great creative ideas and was honest with us on how to get the most "bang" with our limited budget. You will not be dissapointed with Festive Designs :).

Melinda was very helpful giving me advice on what flowers would look nice for my bouquet. This was wonderful because I know nothing about flowers haha! She even delivered them for free when my friend wasn't able to pick them up. I highly recommend working with her.

Melinda is incredible to work with! She did the flowers for my wedding in October. She is extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with. She let me know what flowers were in season that time of year and allowed me to make my selections. She also asked for pictures of bouquets I liked so she could understand my style. Honestly, picking out flowers is pretty tough because you make selections but it is hard to visualize what the final product will look like. Melinda surpassed my expectations and created the most beautiful florals!

Melinda works magic with flowers! I didn't even consider anyone else because she's just that good. I met with her and gave her my color ideas and a few photos from magazines and she did the rest. The bouquets and boutonnieres were magazine worthy and we got many compliments.

Festive Designs went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was eloquently decorated to our floral desire. Melinda was extremely helpful and easy to work with throughout the planning process. She took the time to meet with us at the wedding venue and was very detail oriented. Melinda was always prompt and professional in returning emails and phone calls. We greatly appreciated her flexibility as we needed to alter the floral contract several times before the wedding. She was always happy to accommodate us by adding another floral arrangement or adding more color to the bride’s bouquet. Melinda set up the ceremony site and delivered bouquets promptly on the morning of our wedding. We were in awe with the size and beauty of the bouquets! All of the flowers and plants arrived and stayed fresh throughout the day. Melinda’s attention to detail assured that our flowers were properly transported and displayed in the best possible setting during the reception. Melinda realized we were short one piece of chiffon fabric and let us borrow her own chiffon piece for the reception. We are so happy that we chose Festive Designs to do our floral arrangements!

Melinda is absolutely wonderful! She is so flexible and does an amazing job of bringing your vision for your wedding flowers to life. She was even willing to change out some flowers from my bridesmaids bouquets to better match my vision just days before the wedding. They turned out absolutely beautiful! I was so impressed! Melinda did my bridal bouquet, the bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding party, and the corsages and boutonnieres for family and our ring bearer. We were so very pleased with her work. The flowers looked beautiful on our wedding and incredible in our pictures. She even wrote a nice card and brought us a small gift when she delivered the flowers. So sweet!! We would highly recommend Melinda and Festive Designs for your wedding or any other event.

Melinda came recommend to us. The flowers she put together for us were simply beautiful! I supplied Melinda with a few photos for some inspiration behind our wedding and the type of bouquet I wanted. I wanted something that would also match my bridesmaids dresses which had a floral design on them. I also provided her with specific colors for the wedding. She nailed it! She was so easy to work with.

We initially had in mind some flowers but she gave us the reality of having those flowers for a November wedding and informed us they wouldn't last a whole day without being in water. She then provided us was a great alternative that was closest to what I wanted. She was looking out for us and made sure our money would be well spent.

We decided to create our own table center pieces for the wedding. She did not pressure us to use her for our center pieces. She actually gave us some great advice and even gave us recommendations.

The best part about having Melinda is that she was willing to drop off our flowers directly to us. She also picked up all our flowers in the chapel right after the ceremony and moved them to our reception location. There, she placed the flowers in spots that could have used some decorations ie. our cake table, guest book table, in the bar area, etc.

For a person who knows nothing about flowers, I had complete confidence in Melinda for her creative design and flower recommendations for our wedding. She is incredibly knowledgeable about flowers and a true artist in putting flower arrangements together.

I usually never write reviews, but this one deserved it. Melinda did such a wonderful job with transforming my image into real life. She was always very responsive to any emails/questions I had. When she sent me the picture of my flowers the day before my wedding, I was in awe! They were not only gorgeous, but exceeded any and all expectations I had. They were perfect! The colors were absolutely gorgeous. She is also very reasonably priced. I HIGHLY recommend Festive Designs!!!

I was going to do diy flowers but decided it wasn\'t for me, so I called Melinda based on the Yelp review of another bride who also decided against diy:) I was not picky about the type of flowers so I just gave Melinda the color scheme. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL. We couldn\'t be more pleased. Melinda is so easy to work with and I felt her prices were very reasonable.

Melinda was great to work with. She was extremely flexible and helpful! She originally was just going to do the bouquets and boutonnières but then we decided to add on the center pieces and large arrangements for the ceremony. They turned out great and were exactly what I wanted. I sent her a few pictures of what I had in mind and she made everything so much better and more beautiful. Her staff came and set up with no problem and I loved how it all turned out. I would recommend Melinda for a wedding or any floral arrangements.

Melinda was great to work with! She was so helpful and easy to be in touch with and made it very easy to stay in my budget. My bouquet came out beyond amazing, it was stunning.. Having used Festive Designs for corsages and boutonnieres for high school dances in the past, I knew I would be using them for my wedding flowers! I wasn't sure how it was all going to work out, considering I live out of town, but Melinda was so flexible and worked with me mostly over e-mail. I sent her ideas of what I was looking for, and she whipped up her magic and made our wedding flowers even more magical than we had anticipated. Nicolette did a fantastic job of decorating our arch - everything was just beautiful. She helped pin all the boutonnieres on and stayed until the last minute to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you SO much Melinda and Nicolette for everything. You two are fabulous and helped make our wedding day beautiful.

Melinda at Festive Designs was such a pleasure to work with!! She was helpful from beginning to end, and delivered the most BEAUTIFUL product. Seriously, better than I could have imagined. Melinda was very helpful in helping me get a better idea of what types of flowers I could work with, based on the wedding colors. I sent her some of my visions and ideas, and she created the most beautiful, unique arrangements, from the aisle vases, alter pieces, table pieces, wristlets, boutonnieres, cake topper, and of course bouquets! I was lucky to keep some of the arrangements and my bouquet, and they are even as beautiful dried.
After putting so much time and effort into trying to create this vision I had for the wedding, it was the best feeling to walk down from my dressing room, right before heading down the aisle, to see the final product executed so flawlessly. It gave me the chills! It's the best to know that your vendor is just as invested in making your day as perfect as your dreams...

First off I would like to say that Melinda was an absolute pleasure to work with. I live in South Orange County so at first was a little fearful that the distance would be hard to get my vision/ideas across. Melinda truly made me feel at ease with our phone calls to walk through ideas and our communication through email was easy! She gave me some incredible ideas that I wouldn't of thought of, like putting artichoke in my bouquet which people commented on was so cool!

On the day of our wedding the flowers were even better than imagined. She truly is talented and has an eye for what she does. Our bouquets, gun shot shell boutonnieres, table flowers, cocktail tables, flower girl crown, and especially my bouquet was absolutely perfect! I wouldn't of asked for it to go any better!!

Melinda with Festive Designs is truly the best around! I had a vision in my head of exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. Melinda brought this vision to life and completely exceeded my expectations. Everything was absolutely beautiful. I am still getting compliments about how beautiful the flowers were.

Melinda designed all of my bouquets, boutonnieres, arch flower, aisle flowers, centerpieces, cocktail arrangements, and an amazing floral curtain for the entrance of the venue. The quality of all of the work and flowers was amazing. She was also able to reuse pieces from the ceremony and incorporate them into the reception to help save on costs. Melinda truly cares and wants your big day to be perfect!

I would recommend Melinda to anyone. She is so passionate about what she does and is so easy to work with.

The challenge of a destination wedding was put to rest when we found Melinda to do my daughter's wedding flowers! Melinda was very patient with our many correspondances and was able to create exactly what my daughter envisioned as the perfect bouquets and wedding arrangements. Melinda at Festive Designs picked up on my daughters vision of her perfect wedding flowers. All the bouquets were beautiful and the girls loved them. Melinda is easy to work with and affordable, she was quick to respond to email and text. She delivered fresh beautiful arrangements to all our locations at the beach ceremony site and wedding reception venue. This was a destination wedding for everyone . So the day after, we delivered all forty plus floral arrangements to a assisted retirement home in San Luis Obispo for all the residents to enjoy, they were overwhelmed and just seeing their smiles was the best. I had been trying to imagine what I wanted my wedding flowers to look like and you went beyond! The flowers for our wedding were gorgeous, we would not change a thing! The aisle and arch flowers moved into the reception hall were a nice touch on saving a few dollars and you were so smooth it was totally worth it. We also loved having succulents in our arrangements, the guests who look center pieces home as well as ours, we are getting to plant and forever have live plants from our wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A GORGEOUS WEDDING!!!

I could not have asked more from Melinda and her staff at Festive Designs for our wedding flowers. Knowing nothing about flowers, except being able to show Melinda a few pictures of what I liked/disliked, she took charge and showed me her suggestions of similar (and equally as beautiful!!!) flowers that would fit within my limited budget. She also suggested ways of saving money such as collecting my own vases, using brides/bridesmaids' bouquets as head table flowers, and moving ceremony flowers to guest tables as centerpieces.

Our wedding weekend was an extremely busy one for her with 3 weddings, yet everything looked impecible like she has spend weeks and weeks on every little detail. Her daughter delivered the flowers before pictures began, was there to pin on boutonneires, then move flowers from our ceremony site to the reception.

I got so many compliments on our flowers, and they truly pulled together everything for us. I could not have imagined them looking any better!

Melinda made planning a long distance wedding very easy. I found her to be accommodating and accessible. She understood the vision and executed it beautifully. She worked with us and helped lead us to choices that were more economical and for that we are grateful. She has my highest recommendation.

Melinda and Festive Designs really made the details shine on our wedding day. We were married on July 6th and envisioned a red, white and blue, vintage Americana theme. Melinda and her team jumped right in and helped make every last detail perfect. We had quite a few very specific requests and Melinda was welcoming of all of them. Her experience and knowledge made planning our flowers extremely simple. We live a few hundred miles north of the Central Coast and were thrilled with the flexibility to work via phone and email. I highly recommend Festive Designs to anyone who doesn’t want to stress on their big day.

Festive Designs not only did the flowers for my wedding, but also the flowers for BOTH of my sisters in 2005 and 2008. We couldn't be happier with their designs and gorgeous floral designs. Melinda is amazing with her knowledge of floral design and getting your ideas to become reality. She went out of her way to make sure I had the particular flowers I wanted, even though they were hard to find during the season and making my color palette come out perfect. I met with Melinda at her place of business on a day trip to the coast. I do not live in the area and she accomodated me with meeting her, sending correspondences by mail/fax/e-mail, and had everything ready and delivered for our special day. The floral arrangements and bridal bouquet were exquisite and had great detail. I loved my bouquet! Her prices were extremely reasonable and I would definitely recommend her to anyone else!

The staff at Festive Designs is top notch! The girls work hard and roll with the punches when changes need to be made last minute. They listened to what I said and totally "got it" and it was clear that making us happy was their top priority. It's a very rare thing these days that your florist and her crew see your face and stay on location until you're down the aisle...just to ensure that you are 100% happy with their work. Festive Designs does just that. She also has a small collection of rental items that were perfect for our wedding! These girls really know what they are doing and it shows!

Melinda could not have done a better job! She has an incredible eye for design and is able to really read her clients and figure out what will be best for them. I was working on a budget when it came to my flowers but you would never know it. Melinda made my flowers look WAY more expensive then they were. She is talented and fair and exceeded my expectations. Thank you!!!

Melinda is so professional and so reliable, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the service or flowers that she and her staff provided at our wedding. Our bouquets and centerpieces were just breathtaking, and everything turned out BETTER than we had imagined it. Melinda was able to take our vision and really flesh it out using her expertise. My husband and I were married at Edna Valley Vineyard in October 2010. We loved Melinda from the moment we met her! She truly listened to both of us and had lots of wonderful ideas to make our wedding unique. I believe it's important to step back and let vendors do what they do best, and Melinda did not disappoint! Her work was lovely and helped capture our goal, which was to highlight the natural beauty of Edna Valley. The flowers and arrangements throughout the ceremony locale and in the boutonnieres and corsages were gorgeous, but perhaps most fun was the petal design down the aisle. Melinda is extremely creative and warm-hearted, which is a perfect combination for her design work.

Melinda and her staff completely blew me away with what they created for my wedding flowers. I told Melinda the kind of look I was going for and what types of flowers I wanted, but when I saw them in person, i couldn't believe how gorgeous everything was, especially the bouquets and the boutonnieres. Melinda was so easy to work with- we pretty much planned everything over email- and she and her staff were so organized and well-prepared on wedding day. I highly recommend- I can't stress enough how stunning all my flowers were!

Melinda and her team did my wedding flowers for my beach wedding. As a resident of Los Angeles and planning my wedding from a far, I did not have the opportunity to meet with Melinda in person until the day before my wedding. That said she was wonderful to work with on the phone and via email and was very responsive, helpful and trustworthy. Melinda not only worked with my smallish budget but she and her team came and set up as well as moved the flowers for the reception to get more use out of them. Additionally, I sent her a sample of the color I was going for and she was also able to provide the linens at a very reasonable price. I cannot recommend Melinda and Festive Designs more highly.

I can't tell you how many compliments we received on the centerpieces and bouquet. Everything at our wedding, including our guests' attire, was white, red or black. Melinda transformed our space with orchids submerged in water, white stephanotis, red and dark red roses, and my favorite addition -- black feathers in my bouquet! Festive Designs turned our venue into a warm, inviting and beautiful spot, and helped make our wedding day more amazing and beautiful that I ever imagined.

I can't give enough stars for what Festive Designs and Melinda deserve! Melinda made the whole process ridiculously easy and had great ideas and vision. The flower style was exactly what we had pictured and the flowers themselves were gorgeous thanks to her selections and talent. We had the luck of hitting a heat wave for our special day and Melinda went above and beyond to help out and kept the flowers looking fresh. She even re-did the groom's boutonniere after the heat got to them during the photo shoot! I would highly recommend her and her team!

I found Festive Designs on wedding wire. I had my wedding at The Cliffs Resort at Pismo Beach and needed something close to the venue since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Melinda was easy to contact and I got a response right away. I showed her some ideas (from pinterest of course) and she was able to not only make my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquet gorgeous, she did so while staying withing my budget! I got a beautiful arrangement for the arch at the altar, boutonnieres, and bouquets. She showed up to my suite the day of the wedding, brought our bouquets in, and immediately set up the arch. Everything went smoothly and I did not worry one bit on my wedding day! Thank you Melinda!!

We LOVE Melinda and Festive Designs! I was a previous floral design student of Melinda's at Cal Poly and came to see her creativity and genius when it came to flowers and design. From our first meeting she was a true professional. She has great flower guides that allow you to find just the right color/texture and understand how something looks. She asked the right questions about how we envisioned our day.

We didn't start with specific details we wanted, just a general theme and venue (Mission SLO and Santa Margarita Ranch). Melinda helped us create great centerpieces, bouquets etc. She took our ideas and added her expertise to make it that much better.

She took ideas and made them a reality without leaving you to stress about how it was going to happen. She was a great communicator and let us review the quote for the day to make sure we were happy with all the choices.

The quality of the flowers was superb. We were so pleased to have Melinda take care of us on our wedding day. She was timely and made sure our vision became beyond what we could have imagined. Beautiful flowers

Melinda created two beautiful arrangements, a bouquet, and two boutonnieres for my wedding. She was easy to communicate with and sent photos of everything when they were finished for me to take a look beforehand. Her pricing was also very reasonable. The flowers were absolutely beautiful, albeit more expensive than I expected; I was surprised at the price because I used mostly daisies, and only a few roses, and the bouquets and centerpieces were very small, but they were still very beautiful. But otherwise, Melinda is fantastic, she has great ideas, runs with any ideas you give her, and will make it look beautiful. For a cost, she will move your flowers from your wedding location to the reception location, and that way you can save some money and use those flowers twice, because they are still beautiful. Melinda also worked with me to help me lower the cost because I couldn't afford the original qoute.

Bridal bouquet was a little smaller than I thought it would be for the price, but absolutely beautiful. I did have some challenge communicating colors (like champagne versus ivory), but when I let go and let her use her professional judgement, things came out well. She was very flexible to my schedule needs and came early to hand out bouquets/corsages to my wedding party taking pictures hours before the wedding, and stayed until the wedding to hand out flowers to the family. She took care of pining all boutineers and moving outdoor ceremony flowers inside to the reception afterwards, so they got full use for the price.
