We met Evynn by chance at a dinner event, and we’re so grateful for the serendipity that led us to her! Working with Evynn was an absolute pleasure. From the start, she asked thoughtful, detailed questions to help us clarify what we truly wanted from our wedding photography—and she delivered beautifully. We really wanted to capture more candid moments of our guests and of the day, and what Evynn captured of our day at Oz Farm in Point Arena was truly incredible. She was also incredibly responsive and reliable throughout the entire process and took a lot of the stress out of wedding planning. Gorgeous photos and great experience
Evynn was the perfect photographer for our wedding. We loved that she shot with some film and had a range of different cameras. She was very communicative and gave suggestions to help us get the photos we wanted on our wedding day. She was a joy to work with and we will definitely hire her in the future. Working with Evynn was a dream from start to finish. The photographs and moments she captured were stunning, moving and beautiful. We had an intimate wedding at Glen Oaks in Big Sur. She was able to capture the natural beauty of the surrounding redwoods and being a Big Sur local, she was able to take us to little known spots for incredible photographs along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific ocean. I would recommend Evynn a million times over- she’s a joy to work with, an expert photographer with the eye of an artist and a true gem of a human. The photographs of our day turned out beautifully- we cannot thank her enough! -

My elopement is now a timeless piece of art
My husband and I had the most beautiful Big Sur Elopement and the Ventana and Evynn captured the moments perfectly. Her tasteful eye for angles and lighting and her timeless vintage style was exactly how I wanted my special day documented. The prints we ordered look like art on our walls. Evynn was an amazing photographer! She really captured the style of photography that my wife and I wanted for our elopement. Being a native to Big Sur meant that she was a no-brainer and had all the insight to capturing the most amazing photos.
I would HIGHLY recommend her! We stayed at Glen Oaks in Big Sur and she immediately knew where to capture the photos for us. 10/10!

Evynn was tremendous to work with! She was referred to us by Post Ranch Inn where we decided to elope after our original wedding plans were canceled due to COVID. We had to put a lot of trust in her as we are based in Seattle and didn’t know the area.
Evynn delivered! Being a local, she knew all of the best spots nearby Post Ranch to capture the aesthetic we wanted and also knew the property at Post Ranch intimately so that we could capture the best shots efficiently and still enjoy the time working with her. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and we couldn’t have been more pleased with how the pictures of our elopement turned out. It was especially important to us given our family and friends were unable to attend. At least we had stunning photos to share with them and memories to last us a lifetime. -

Talented Big Sur local photographer
My partner and I have a deep connection to Big Sur, and once we decided to elope we knew Big Sur was the spot. Multiple friends from the area highly recommended Evynn, a truly knowledgeable local. She is friendly, responsive, fun, creative, and talented with light! For our shoot, we had a few requests and had a great time hopping around to different spots. Absolutely breathtaking!
Evynn was absolutely amazing. We eloped in the middle of the pandemic and she could not have made a potentially stressful experience more enjoyable. She knows the Big Sur area extremely well, and knew exactly where to take the best pictures at the best time for the perfect light. The pictures were breathtaking and we get compliments on them all the time! They are our most precious memories. She was able to provide recommendations for other vendors as well, and knew the perfect place at Glen Oaks for us to say our vows to make them feel extra special and magical. Beautifully candid, and edited photos!
I always tell people that my husband and I got so lucky with booking Evynn for our destination wedding. Her portfolio is beyond! She was wonderful to work with and very sweet. Her editing skills are phenomenal and she just has a great eye for captivating those candid, real-life photos with movement and authenticity. She’s really good at what she does, and I hope to book her again for a pregnancy shoot in Hawaii! (A girl can dream! It’s on my vision board. Lol) PS. I also highly recommend her professional partner/friend who does Super 8 Filming (Noelle Smith). She was super cool and talented too! Together they make a great team. We were just so pleased! -

The BEST Big Sur/Bay Area Photographer
Your search for the perfect Big Sur/Bay Area Photographer is over... book Evynn immediately. I have not stopped getting compliments on how INCREDIBLE the photos she took were. Literally friends of friends were messaging about how amazing these photos were.
My wife and I consider ourselves extremely awkward and camera shy... that did not stop Evynn from working PURE MAGIC and capturing such authentic moments between us in our engagement shoots and wedding.
Evynn shot our engagement photos on Mt Tam which was a new location for her. She went a day early and scouted out spots that were even better than the spots my wife and I had picked out.
Our wedding was shot in Big Sur and the attention to detail was just perfection. We loved our time with Evynn so much we are booking an anniversary wedding 2.0 shoot with her to have more special photos.
Evynn was responsive and wonderful to work with. The output was worth every penny and you truly could not ask for a better way to remember your special moments. -

We immediately fell in love with Evynn’s work when we found her online and could tell that she had a passion and talent for capturing beautiful moments. We are so thankful that we hired her for our elopement in Big Sur! She captured all of the emotion and candid moments that we hoped to remember from our special day.
Being local to Big Sur, Evynn was knowledgeable about the area and familiar with our vendors and venue. There was a big fire in the area before our wedding date and we weren’t sure if the venue would even be open. During this time where she was being evacuated herself she still took the time to give us updates on the area, which meant so much to us.
My husband and I did not have the opportunity to take engagement photos due to the pandemic so this was our first time being professionally photographed together. Evynn provided the guidance that we needed to feel comfortable in front of the camera while still allowing us to be natural and enjoy the flow of our day. She was extremely professional, flexible, and kind throughout the entire evening. Working with Evynn was a flawless process and we cannot recommend her enough if you’re looking for a Big Sur wedding photographer!

My partner and I LOVE Evynn. Her creative eye is beyond amazing, everything from the shoot, to editing, to making you (as a couple) feel like you know what you are doing. We actually found Evynn through Instagram and reached out via email. THANK HEAVENS she was available.
We had Evynn shoot our Elopement in Point Reyes (so she traveled to shoot our day). Our gathering was very small and intimate and I wasn't sure how a photographer would fit in. However, from the minute she showed up to the minute we said goodbye She was very much an amazing part of our wedding process.
Professional I could not express more how Evynn should be your photographer. Personally, Evynn is the sweetest human with an energy for helping couples feel even more loved than with those you invited to your day. -

The MOST beautiful photos
I truly can't say enough about working with Evynn. My husband and I had to shift our wedding plans in 2020 due to the pandemic and decided to get married with just parents and siblings up in Carmel. We knew we'd be giving up a lot that comes with having a typical wedding, but one of the things we knew we couldn't compromise on were the photos. We began researching photographers and instantly fell in love with Evynn's unique style. We knew that she was the perfect photographer for us. She has a real gift for capturing the intimacy and connection, which is what mattered to us most. People go crazy when they see our photos; and for all the family and friends that couldn't share in that special day with us, we're forever thankful to Evynn for giving us the gift of her photography. -

Loved working with Evynn!
My wife and I renewed our wedding vows in Big Sur. We reached out to Evynn to see if she could photograph our ceremony. We wanted something very low key but meaningful and she captured it beautifully. Being photographed by Evynn was a beautiful easy enjoyable experience. My partner and I are both extremely shy people who don't enjoy being in front of the camera or crowds, hence why we eloped. Evynn was so warm and supportive, she made it easy to open up and forget there was a camera and forget the importance and stress surrounded by these photos. She has such a deep connection and love for the Big Sur area and it shows in her photos. I highly recommend working with Evynn on your special occasion she is so good at what she does. I honesty hope I get a chance to be photographed by her again for an anniversary or pregnancy. We are very happy with or photos and have a hard time choosing our favorites to frame. -

My husband and I dreamed of getting married in between the beauty of one of our favorite hiking grounds "Big Sur". We wanted to support local businesses and a photographer that knew the area well. Doing some research we came across Evynn's work. I absolutely fell in love of the way she works the light in her photography. We wanted a simple yet intimate wedding and Evynn was such big part of making that happen.
Our elopement was set in April 2020 then the Pandemic exploded in California, with so much uncertainty and all the closures Evynn was more than a photographer to me through the whole process... she was a pillar of moral support. She kept me updated of the situation in Big Sur, and when the State Park where our ceremony was supposed to take place closed, she supported me finding other options keeping my spirits up until our big day. Long story short against all odds we made it happen.
I can't say enough great things about her work and the quality of human being she is. On the day of the ceremony she supported us finding the PERFECT spot for it that gave us the intimacy we were looking for and the majestic backdrop of Redwoods forest.
She seemingly moved around documenting our moment through her lense. My husband and I are delighted with our pictures and highly recommend her services. So if you are looking for a one of a kind photographer for your event in Big Sur, look no more Evynn is the photographer you need. -

Amazing Local Photographer
My husband and I eloped two years ago in Big Sur so we wouldn't have to stress about a giant wedding. Evynn was such a pleasure to work with and our pictures turned out better than I even imagined. Seriously, all our friends and family still comment on our photos. The word "beautiful" hardly scrapes the surface when trying to describe the mood, lighting and love she captured that day.
I worked with all local vendors and I adored them all. However, I felt like Evynn was the most responsive and helpful in terms of location and wedding time for best lighting. She even swung us a last minute dinner reservation at Big Sur Inn when she found out we didn't have any dinner plans- it was beyond sweet! If you are thinking of getting married in Big Sur it is important to utilize local vendors. They know the area the best and it just felt like the right thing to support their businesses over those from out of town. -

Such Beautiful Photos and Amazing Experience!
Evynn made our experience at the Wind and Sea Estate so incredibly FUN and relaxed! It meant so much to us that it was such an amazing experience with my husband and I being camera-shy – she captured our closest moments in such a beautiful and natural way and was our cheerleader throughout our day, knowing that we needed some encouragement with cameras on us all day. Initially, looking through her portfolio, we immediately fell in love with her aesthetic and style. I was generally tentative about photographers after having some stressful experiences in San Francisco with other professionals, but I felt immediately at ease having an initial call with Evynn before we even hired her.
Additionally, when assessing our initial vendors, we felt it so incredibly important to prioritize vendors located in and familiar with the Big Sur area. My husband and I were avid hikers in the area for the last 5 years and we were aware of how the terrain can be delicate and the weather in Big Sur can be unpredictable. We wanted to be fully confident in our vendors to be able to respect the area and pivot in case of inclement weather or unexpected circumstances. Evynn definitely followed through, kept my husband and I relaxed, and navigated the area quickly when extremely high gusts picked up unexpectedly the day of.
We can’t thank her for enough for her humor, her knowledge of the area, and the memories that we’ll value forever!

Gorgeous Photos, Easy to work with
We hired Evynn for our Big Sur Wedding at the end of November. First, and most important... Evynn's photos are beautiful. And there are so many other aspects you want from a photographer on your wedding day which Evynn lived up to as well. She communicated very clearly from the start of the planning process.. she helped make sure that all of our needs and expectations were outlined well before our wedding day. The day of our wedding a massive storm rolled in and created a huge amount of chaos, and also road closures. Evynn arrived on time, was well prepared, and started photographing right away. She caught all the sweet candid moments as well as the detailed shot list we had asked for. She was even willing to brave the extreme rain and wind for some dramatic coastal shots we wanted. Throughout the day she was calm and professional and able to roll with the changes and all the added craziness of the day due to the storm. We received a preview of some of the photos shortly after the wedding, and all of the photos about 3 months later.. as agreed. If you are hosting your wedding in Big Sur, do yourself a favor and book this local photographer. -

Evynn was absolutely the perfect person to capture our day. My husband is naturally quite shy and HATES to be in front of the camera, but Evynn was so personable and lovely she immediately connected with the both of us. I think what really set her apart is how natural we both look, completely ourselves. Beyond that, Evynn really knew the area inside and out - if you are looking to get married in Big Sur you absolutely should find someone local because there are so many sneaky little spots she was able to lead us to where we were able to get some of our best photos! -

We love our Gorgeous Big Sur Wedding Photos (and feature on The Knot!)
Evynn did a fantastic job photographing our wedding at Point 16 in Big Sur. She captured so many beautiful, authentic moments -- some joyful, some dramatic -- and we love the gorgeous mood and feeling she lends to her photography. We feel so fortunate to have found her and to have her stunning photos to look back on (and we do, often!). Evynn is local to the Big Sur and Carmel area, so she is an expert on locations and knows the best times and angles for natural light, sunset, etc. For example. she spotted a fog bank off the coast during our wedding and, realizing we wouldn't have a traditional sunset, she moved all photography up to catch the best light. In addition to her knowledge of the California coast, Evynn's technical expertise and professionalism is also extremely valuable. She brought a talented second shooter to capture every detail while she spent time with us, and provided just the right amount of direction to my husband and me so that the photos looked great without feeling at all forced or staged. Afterwards, with our enthusiastic consent, she submitted our photos to blogs and we ended up being a featured wedding on The Knot! Highly recommend! -

We came all the way from a little desert town in Australia to Big Sur to get married in a small ceremony. I had found Evynn after hours of searching for a photographer, I’m so glad I found her. Her work is second to non and she made the process so much easier for me by pointing me in the right direction for vendors to get exactly what I had dreamed about. Because of this woman I had the day I always dreamed and have the most amazing images from the day that I will cherish forever! I grew up in Big Sur, and knew that having a June wedding would most likely mean dense fog. When hiring Evynn I knew I'd get stunning photos even without the iconic Big Sur backdrop. She was able to create visual interest, texture, and romance to an incredibly foggy and damp day. Additionally, my husband and I are shy people and are not used to having our photos taken.
