  Lori at Eureka Sweets is one of the most amazing cake designers EVER!! I gave her a picture of a wedding cake that was super avant-garde, which I had found online. Just the idea of paying someone a large amount of money (although her prices are crazy cheap compared to what I found across the state) and not really knowing what the design will look like until the day, is pretty scary. However, when the elevator to the reception opened and I saw the cake for the first time, I was floored with how perfectly she got it. I can't believe she got the design exactly as in the photograph and the cake tasted amazing. I HATE cake icing with a passion but the icing she used made me want to just eat it without any cake attached--it was so light and airy.
  
  I'm super impressed with everything she did and would recommend her to anyone getting married.

  We had a beautiful and fabulous tasting wedding cake and grooms cake. We met with Lori at her studio and went over all of the details, she had great suggestions to suppliment our ideas. We made several changes over the months and she rolled with the flow. She created a cake flavor that she did not have on her menu, butter pecan with caramel buttercream filling, absolutely fabulous. The grooms cake was a chocolate with raspberry filling, chocolate buttercream icing and chocolate ganache spilling over the top. Both cakes were masterpieces. After the initial consultation we communicated via email, and we found her to be very responsive. I wish all vendors were. Bravo.

  I made all arrangements over the phone, with ideas from her website. I was delighted with her masterpiece, my cake!

  Lori is great. She will do whatever you want. I brought her pictures of tiny fudge wedding cakes from Martha Stewart that I wanted and she did it for a few bucks a head, and they were WONDERFUL. She is truly an artist. She books well in advance and she is VERY busy, so she does not always respond to your calls (which was a little nerve wracking when I was calling the day before the wedding to confirm they were all ready to go and would be delivered to the reception site). I found this a little unprofessional, but it would not stop me from using Lori again or recommending her to all of my friends!!!

  The cake we had was absolutely delicious and beautifully constructed in its simple, classic style. The value for the cake was also very reasonable. However Lori's responsiveness and flexibility assisting us was very difficult. Granted, we were planning a wedding in her area from 1,000 miles away, and never got a chance to work with her in person, but her attitude on the phone and in emails also seemed very nonchalant, like our business didn't really matter. And when we had questions or challenges, she wasn't quick to offer ideas or solutions. It's up to you, maybe you'll get better service if you live in the area.

  The cake was beautiful and I sure things would have been even better, but Lori had just had a baby and was taken a leave for that and therefore I never got to meet her of show her a photo of what I really wanted. She wasn't very timely in returning phone calls or emails so there was some stress leading up to the event, but everything turned out beautiful. She is the best in the small town of Eureka Springs.

  I booked Eureka Sweets to provide truffles for my favors for my wedding. The truffles were amazing, however, the communication was LACKING to say the least. My wedding was in January and I paid in full in October for the truffles. Lori and I had an agreement that she would deliever the truffles on the Thursday at noon before my wedding at the hotel we were staying at. After several of failed attempts of contacting the front desk to see if the truffles had arrived, I contacted Lori. It took over 12 hours for a response only to find out that she had delievered the truffles the day before without contacting me to let me know. In addition, she just handed them off to some random employee at the hotel and thankfully they were located.
