Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ

Rob did an amazing job with our wedding. He was so professional and very organized. He put us at ease with having a schedule and letting us know what was coming next throughout the reception. When we met with him before the wedding he knew all the questions to ask. During the reception he kept the dancing going with great music choices. Everything went so smoothly and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Hands-down a Great Time

We first were introduced to Encore L'Amor through my sister's wedding last summer, and we had a blast. We decided to hire Jon again for my wedding, and WOW -- we are so pleased with our decision! Encore L' Amore Events was fantastic. We were very late in contacting them but they were amazingly accommodating. Our DJ was Jon Glass. He was extremely professional, efficient, and well worth every penny. I would gladly recommend Encore L' Amore Events and Jon Glass. If I have the occasion I will definitely use them again.

We had Jon for our wedding DJ and he was fabulous! We met with him before hand and immediately knew we would be using him for our wedding. We also used Jon for our ceremony and he did a great job. He kept people on the dance floor all night and was a huge part of the reason that we got so many compliments like "best wedding ever!" and "most fun wedding I've ever been to!". I would definitely recommend Jon and Encore!

Rob McDowell Rocks!!!! DJ and MC rolled into one. I didn't need a wedding planner to help with the reception. He was very easy to work with and responded to my questions promptly despite the majority of our communication was via email. He even requested a short meeting a few days prior to our reception to work through any potential kinks and helped us make wise decisions. A true professional and "must have" at any party event. He kept our small wedding hopping til 11pm. Thank YOU!!!!

We had Encore L'Amore for our winter wedding and they were absolutely amazing. From when we first met with Rob you could tell he was very professional and awesome to work with. We did not know a'lot about the song selections for certain parts during the ceremony and reception and he had great suggestions and guided us right through the process. Every part of the wedding was right on point and there were zero issues or flaws during the night. His music selection from the cocktail hour to the reception was amazing and the night flowed very smoothly. I could not have imagined working with another DJ and If I could give him 10 stars I would. Also I would highly recommend using the photo booth (it was a hit and fun for all age groups). Rob I just want to thank you for making our night awesome!

We had Jon for our wedding and he was awesome! He met with us in person a few days before the wedding (once we got in town as we live out of state) to go over songs we had chosen and others that we didn't want played. He was super professional and was great at reading the crowd in order to keep everyone on the dance floor til the end. He even gave us a CD at the end of the night with some of the key songs we picked out for our first dances and such so that we have a "mixtape" of our night. Rob was also great and professional to work with in our emails back and forth. Encore is a class act and I would definitely recommend having Jon DJ your wedding night- you will not be disappointed!

We heard great things about this company and after speaking with the owner we knew we had to book them right away. We quickly found out who our DJ was for our special night and was kind of skeptical of how he would do. Well there was NO reason to be nervous, stressed, skeptical whatever we were feeling because he was absolutely INCREDIBLE. His name is Dave Frederick (Request him). As a main job for a DJ, it is to show up, play the music, keep the audience attention, and just entertain. Well with Dave it was more than just being our DJ, his main priority was my Husband and I. His main focus was our wants/needs, happiness, and he definitely accomplished that on our wedding night. The music was EVERYTHING we wanted, he listened to us very intently, and he ALWAYS made sure Ben and I were having a great time (of course along with the audience). When things came up he quickly brought it to my husband or I's attention even if we were dancing away on the dance floor he would join in on the moves and quickly telling us his thoughts. He wasn't just our DJ that night he was our guest and friend too!
I can go on and on about how amazing Dave was. Its in your best interest to book with Encore L'Amore Events and please request DAVE FREDERICK if you want a unforgettable night to remember!

Rob, the owner of Encore, was absolutely incredible throughout the wedding process and the day itself. My husband and I were initially leaning towards booking a band for our reception, but Rob came so highly recommended to me from my wedding coordinator at the Statehouse, that we decided to go with him and are SO glad that we did! He was extremely professional and responded to my emails in a quick manner. We booked Rob about a year and a half before our wedding day, and within that time frame he had moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. Even though he was working from Myrtle Beach, he made it a priority to meet with my husband and I in Columbus before our wedding when he was in town for another wedding. Rob had great suggestions about music selections and the timing of all of the small details of the reception, and he was equally great the day of the wedding, making the time to come up to me whenever needed to update me on the timing of things (which I liked because I am a control freak). We also used Rob for uplighting, and WOW did it make the space look amazing!! The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and we owe that to Rob. My husband and I could not be happier with our decision to go with Rob for our DJ... HIGHLY recommend!!

A friend of mine recently was married and recommended Rob at Encore. Rob was wonderful! From the beginning I was unsure of music choices and how I wanted the evening to flow. Rob gave great suggestions and kept everyone in attendance dancing all night! I have attended many weddings previously and have experienced the 'obnoxious dj'. we all know the type, loud, semi annoying and sounding as if they are at an auction rather than a wedding. Rob was never over the top and always professional and dressed very nicely! He looked like a guest at the wedding, not a dj in an oversized tuxedo. I appreciated this. There was rain on our wedding day and we he to leave locations to take pictures so my husband and I were a little late returning for dinner and set the timing of everything off and we were starving so we decided at the VERY last minute to change the order of how we wanted things to go. Rob agreed with a smile and was very accommodating. I would recommend Rob to anyone!

Joe was an amazing DJ! He worked with us in advance of the big day, planning our music. Joe had a vast library of music and offered to get any additional songs he didn’t have we might want. He worked with us to craft our playlist, providing his own suggestions and expertise, yet making it something uniquely us at the same time. We got a ton of great feedback and everyone seemed to love the music.

In terms of equipment, Joe did a great job getting set up. We had an outdoor wedding, and so were a bit worried about how the sound would carry, but everything was crisp and easy to hear, without being excessively loud.

After the wedding, Joe did a really nice job MCing the wedding. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. Joe set the right tempo and was great at playing something lively and getting everyone back on their feet anytime things seemed to slow down.
In addition to Joe, we also rented a photo booth from Encore. The booth added something unique to our wedding that the guests loved, and was a great source of souvenirs. In addition to giving both us and the guests physical copies of all the photos, we also got a usb drive of them all.

In summary, Encore is great, and Joe is a superb DJ. They will not let you down.

Joe with Encore was such an amazing DJ! We planned this wedding from out of town and he made time to meet us every time we came into town and answered all of my emails and phone calls. Rob did a great job at our Wedding and the Wedding we saw him at originally. We saw how well he did at our friends wedding and knew we had found our DJ as well. He offered good insight every step of the way. He did so well in fact - We are literally still being thanked for getting people to dance that had never been seen dancing. When we first met with Joe, he instantly made everything about us. He wasnt there to push a sale or just because we were another blank check. We could both tell how much he genuinely cared about making our day everything we've ever wanted and ultimately created an unforgettable day especially for us. As most brides and grooms do, my now husband and I have very different tastes when it comes to music. Joe made our decisions effortless once he understood what type of reception we envisioned with our friends and family. The photo booth was a fantastic addition which is included in the amount I listed. He was extremely professional, communicated to everyone clearly, and was wonderful about checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I even surprised my husband with Brutus the Buckeye at our reception which Joe handled perfectly.
We could not be more thankful for making our wedding day even more perfect than we thought possible! It all still feels like a dream to us. I wish you all the best!

We worked with Jon Glass for our wedding and he was fantastic! We met with him two weeks before the wedding to go over what we were looking for on the big day. He was knowledgable, professional, and was able to understand and accommodate what kind of sound we were looking for for the wedding. We gave a pretty lengthy list of songs we wanted used for each part of the night and he was able to get all of them! Day-of he was professional and helped our day run with ease. The music sounded fantastic and we were shocked how many people were out on the dance floor and kept dancing all night!

Jon Glass was such a great DJ. He played every song that we wanted (even our entrance song that he did not have but got for us!). We had many of our guests that state that he didn't even play one bad song. The whole reception was run smoothly and on time. He was extremely flexible with meetings before the wedding, especially since we were from out of town. We could not of asked for another DJ. Thanks for everything Jon!

Our two main concerns when looking for a DJ for our reception were the music itself and finding a DJ that was unobtrusive to the party. My musical tastes tend to be pretty picky and fall heavily in the indie/obscure realm, so I was...apprehensive about trusting the party with somebody else. That said, working with Encore and our DJ Alicia was fantastic. From our initial meeting to post-reception, Alicia was professional, enthusiastic, and responsive. Too many receptions are ruined by DJs that feel that they are The Entertainment and overstep that boundary, but Alicia maintained a perfect background presence and never inserted herself in the celebration unnecessarily. This was HUGE for us, and Alicia was awesome at it. Add that to the fact that her playlist and timing were flawless, and that she truly cared about the enjoyment of our guests. We (and guests that asked us for her contact info) were extremely thrilled with how the party went.

Jon Glass was our DJ for our wedding and we could not have been happier with him! We had several comments on how great the DJ was. He had people on the dance floor the entire evening. We met with Jon 2 weeks before the wedding, and he was very personable. We had an idea of what we wanted for most songs, but not all. He did an excellent job with suggestions for different points in the evening – He knows his music. The day of the wedding Jon also went above and beyond organizing and executing each ‘event’ of the evening. Not only did he pull our large wedding party together for the entrance, he got my husband and I our first drinks of the evening (which we had no time to get), he came over to us several times throughout the evening to cue us on what was about to happen next, and let us know when certain songs (that we discussed ahead of time) were going to be played. I didn’t have to worry about anything, as Jon had it all taken care of! We highly recommend Jon Glass and Encore for any wedding – you won’t be disappointed!

Two weeks ago, we used Encore for our DJ at our wedding and we are so pleased in every way possible. Our experience was awesome! It was smooth from our very first conversation with Rob. Then we met Zac, who was our DJ, and my worries were gone. They are both very professional and experienced. They know how to make a wedding fun and not cheesy! The wedding was held at my parent's house. Zac set up two areas- one to provide the ceremony music and the other under the tent for the reception. He was very prompt. We hadn't decided on a couple of our songs until a couple days before the day and he was very flexible in adding them in. All the songs were great and the transitions/"fade in's & out's" sounded so nice and professional. Zac was great!! Encore is worth every penny! They will put your mind at ease and will be well taken care of! Thanks Rob & Zac!

Encore Entertainment and our DJ, Jon, helped make our wedding day just as we imagined it. We had a great preliminary meeting, to go over all of our song choices and make a time line. He set up and took care of showing a special power point which we made. He did a great bridal party intro, just as we wanted it to be! Jon also answered any questions I had along the way. Hiring Encore for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made for the event! We were set up with DJ Jon Glass and also took advantage of their Photo Booth rental. The Photo Booth was BY FAR the hit of the evening - our party took a total of over 300 pictures and EVERYONE was raving about the booth for weeks after the wedding!

Jon did a FABULOUS job. After interviewing several officiants & bakers, my mother & I only interviewed ONE DJ (Jon) and decided to hire him almost immediately. He made me feel extremely comfortable and confident about how my big day was going to run - He said he would take care of everything and see it to that the photographer, videographer, & anyone else would all be kept in the loop as far as what events were about to take place (bouquet toss, garter toss, cake cutting time, etc.) - and he DELIVERED! He was 100% on top of it - with all the running around I was doing during the reception just trying to chat with all the guests, it was a life saver that Jon took care of all the logistics - I never once had to worry about whether we were on schedule, or whether my photographer was going to miss one of the big photo ops, because Jon was there to give her a heads up that it was about to happen!

I was in contact with Jon via e-mail during the months leading up to my wedding, and he was very helpful in guiding me with choosing the right songs for different parts of the reception, and answered all the questions I had immediately to help ensure that we had all of our decisions made in time. I would definitely recommend Encore to a friend, or anyone! They do a great job, and you probably don't think about it, but the DJ basically runs the entire reception, so it's a pretty huge deal. With the photo booth, we got a pretty good deal, I would say it's a little pricey, but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

Our DJ from Encore Entertainment was Jon Glass for our wedding. He did a great job! When we were eating dinner, he DIDN'T play the music so loud that you had to shout to someone you were talking to, and you could actually hear people too. The music he played was a perfect combination of new and old! He also watched us to see when it was necessary to change up the songs to get people back on the dance floor. We got off schedule as we were thanking people for coming after dinner and he was understanding, patient, and didn't rush us to move on to our first dance. We received several compliments from our guests on how good he was too. Jon was great to work with!

We had Zac as our DJ for our wedding, and there is not enough I can say for how awesome the evening went. Zac was so amenable to everything we wanted. There were some unfortunate family situations that needed to be handled with care, and he was absolutely professional and on top of everything. We had the photobooth rental as well and it was a HUGE hit. I cannot say enough for Encore Entertainment. They made our night fantastic. Everyone was on the dancefloor the whole evening. He knew exactly what type of music my family and friends wanted to hear and came through with it all night!!! It was wonderful!!! I will definitely be referring this company to every person I know who has need of a DJ or photobooth in the future. Thanks Zac and Rob!!! You totally made our wedding day fantastic!!!

Our biggest fear in choosing a wedding DJ was that we'd get stuck with someone cheesy who made it all about themselves and played the music too loud.

Encore Entertainment, specifically Jon Glass, made our night PERFECT! Jon gave us exactly what we wanted in terms of our ceremony, dinner, and dancing music, even with the more obscure requests to honor some of our older guests. Jon even gave us updates about the OSU game per our request! He kept the party going throughout the night and did a great job of reading our guests and balancing our requests with the requests of our guests. The music was never too loud or intrusive during the cocktail hour and dinner. He kept the evening moving while still giving us time to visit each table. Our guests all had a great time, and our family members were very appreciative that there were some songs that were more to their liking as well. The dance floor was full almost all night long with guests ranging from 8 to 80, and that was exactly what we had hoped for!

Thank you Jon and Encore Entertainment for helping our wedding to be a phenomenal party!

We met with him a few weeks before the wedding to set the playlists (must-play and do-not-play). He was very helpful at making song suggestions for certain events during the wedding (entry, cake-cutting, etc). Outside of the songs we selected we had one request; keep everyone dancing. And he did just that! The song selection was perfect and we received numerous compliments regarding how fun the reception was! Jon was professional, courteous, and did everything that we asked of him and more. We couldn't be more pleased with the service. Rob with Encore Entertainment was the DJ for our wedding this past April. He was great to work with throughout the entire planning process and offered so many helpful suggestions when picking out songs for special dances and to plan the actual schedule for the day. Because he has a lot of experience as a DJ, he knows what events work best in what order and was able to assist me with planning the schedule for the reception. We met with him about a week before the wedding and he helped pick out songs for the bridal party entrance, garter toss, etc as neither my husband nor I are very music savvy. During the reception, he took our music requests into account while also making sure the dance floor was packed (which it was the entire night down to the last song). He did not overly announce throughout the wedding however guests knew when certain events were taking place and he helped us stay on schedule throughout the night. We also used their large photobooth which was a huge hit with our guests. The attendant helped guests glue of copy of their photo strip into a book that we took home later that night, and we were also provided with a disk of all the images. I highly recommend Rob with Encore if you want a classy wedding with a professional DJ and a packed dance floor :-)

Zac at Encore was amazing. He was so easy to work with and so flexible when it came to coordinating around our schedule. With how hectic everything can be, Encore and especially Zac were so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Zac did a great job reading the crowd and playing music to keep everyone interested. He also did a great job at listening to my wife and I's requests throughout the evening. I had multiple people come up to me and compliment the music and I told them Encore and Zac were the only way to go!

Based upon previous experiences at other wedding receptions we had a very specific type of DJ service in mind; and in fact interviewed several. We found Rob to be slightly more expensive, however, worth EVERY penny. He is professional; no corny presentation tactics, no intimidating guests to participate, no fumbling around...he KNOWS weddings. He knows how to keep the itinerary moving and where/who to find for what and when. He asks all the right questions, even some you have not thought of. He is totally wanting you to be in control of your own reception expectations. He is committed to the bride and groom having EXACTLY what they want and adhering to EXACTLY what they dont want. He is classy. He is creative. He is totally professional and understood from the get go just what we didnt want to have for our reception. We needed a professional master of ceremonies of sorts and not a comic. He worked with us numerous times for us to pick the play list and we wanted to have a specific kind of latino music for our Hora Loca part of the reception and he was open and played just what we had sent him. He made sure on the introductions he could pronounce properly the names. He made sure requests for other music were met with "he was doing as the bride and groom had asked." We would highly recommend Rob for sophisticated, professional and classy delivery of your reception needs. He has your expectations in mind and not his own agenda. They were GREAT!!! We were so so so happy with Encore, people were on the dance floor the whole night and people are still telling me a month later how much fun they had dancing. We had Jon Glass and he kept the whole event running smoothly and did a nice job with the introductions and keeping us on schedule, I HIGHLY recommend him! Their cost is comparable to other DJ services but I don't think you'll find a better one in Ohio.

Wonderful to work with! He really made the planning process so easy when it came to our music! He has a lot of experinece and it shows! Rob with encore entertainment did a phenomenal job as our dj, organizer, lighting and photobooth guy!! We received ample compliments on the choice of music and flow of the reception. The photobooth (which I was unsure of at first) turned out to be an incredible success and I highly recommend to everyone!! It was so popular and so hilarious to see the pictures afterwards...especially as the night went on and people got a little more alcohol in them!! It really brought out the crazy fun side of our more reserved guests...even our 90 year old grandma loved it!! The lighting also really added an amazing finishing touch to the dance floor! We live in Columbus but our wedding was in Cincinnati. We were having trouble finding a DJ in Cincinnati and started looking in Columbus. Lucky for us, we found Encore Entertainment and were able to hire Rob to be the DJ at our wedding. Rob is a complete professional with a depth of experience and helped make our reception a complete success. After the initial meeting and booking, Rob was very quick to answer any questions we had via email. The week before the wedding we met with Rob and established a timeline of events for the reception. Throughout the night, Rob was very active in helping us stay on schedule and flexible with changes that arose. Our personal taste in music is a little bit off the mainstream but Rob downloaded all the songs we requested beforehand and played them throughout the reception and kept the dance floor moving. I cannot say enough POSITIVE things about Encore Entertainment. I have used their DJ services twice in 2012 -- once a very high-end non-profit fundraiser that I organized, and then for my own wedding. Both times, Jeremy was our DJ and went above and beyond--that is just the kind of service you will get from Encore. Also, kudos to owner Rob, who is quick to repsond to inquires and great at selling his 'product' w/o pressure.

Story to Highlight:
My percetly-laid plans for an outdoor reception were literally ripped apart with record setting 40 MPH winds and low tempatures (which the forcast didn't forsee!!) Between the ceremony and the reception, Jeremy moved quickly to "make it work" at the reception (moving items to an inside space, re-thinking the grand entrance, etc.) He even RAN (about 1/4 a mile to where our car was entering the reception area) to 'warn' me that my outside layout had been changed, etc. If I hadn't received this warning, I would have gone into my own reception blind-sided. Instead, I was prepared for the 'change of plan' and decided to just go with the flow. THANK YOU, Jeremy. We spent the rest of the evening greeting guests, eating and staying warm by DANCING to the great tunes.

Encore Entertainment was great. The DJ I worked with was Jeremy, we were able to bounce our ideas back and forth in order for my wedding to have the music I like and the music that my guests could get up and dance to. On the day of the wedding Jeremy was so helpful with keep the wedding on schedule but flowing at the same time. I think I would have been so lost without his guidance throughout the evening. When it was time to start having fun and to dance, he was able to pick up on what kind of music would get my guests on the dance floor. So not only do you get great music through Encore Entertainment but someone who'll make sure that you wedding goes smoothly.

My husband and I are so happy that we chose to use Encore Entertainment for our wedding! We both felt so relieved after our meeting with Jeremy. He was so personable and excited for us. My husband and I did not realize how many decisions were involved with the music selections. There were a lot of things we weren't prepared for and hadn't even thought about (like what music would be playing while the bridal party walks down the aisle or the song for the garter removal) Jeremy was very reassuring and helped us get through the whole process. He really got a feel for who we are, and the overall feel we wanted for our wedding. He made awesome suggestions for those music choices that my husband and I hadn't thought about. Once it came to the wedding he made sure we were on schedule the whole night, everything went really smoothly. Jeremy did a great job reading the crowd and playing the right songs at the right time. I can't overstate what an absolute gift Rob (McDowell--owner) was for our entire wedding day. He was referred to me by a friend who used his services for her wedding a few years back--and raved about him.

We had a complicated service; both Catholic & Indian ceremonies and for the reception, both DJ and live band. Rob was one of those vendors that you never have to doubt their opinion, ask anything more than once, and you can just turn it over to him and he does it exactly right. In every aspect.

He not only coordinated music for the Indian ceremony, but also provided all the announcements, ran the whole event (absolutely no need for a "day of" wedding planner when you have him!) and played the dance music.

He is professional and courteous, and never once said "that's not my job"--he just did whatever needed doing with a smile. I would not only strongly recommend him, but say he's worth every penny.

Jeremy, as a part of Encore Entertainment, did a fantastic job acting as DJ at our wedding. He followed through on everything that he told me he would do on the big day, and he kept things running smoothly throughout the entire night. I got multiple compliments on his services! He played songs that people requested soon after they requested them, he played every song that I had previously asked him to play, he covered for TJ and I when the photographers whisked us away to take sunset pictures, he introduced us into the reception at exactly the right time (this was a big deal to me!), and so on. The night was absolutely seamless, thanks to him. The most important thing that he did was time my dance with my dad exactly right. My dad and I rehearsed our dance for weeks at a professional dance studio, and Jeremy was well aware how important it was to my dad and I to get it right! And that's exactly what happened...it was a beautiful and precious moment for everyone in the room. The services that Jeremy and Encore Entertainment provided are excellent and are worth every penny.

He really took the time to listen to what we wanted. We didn't want any of the traditional wedding dances and had some very specific tastes, he really came through with it all!

After meeting with a few DJs, we knew Rob and his team from Encore Entertainment were going to be the best! We chose Rob to DJ our wedding July 2, 2011 and he did an amazing job! He had mics for our ceremony and backup mics if needed. We had quite the mixed crowd and he played music that got everyone on the dance floor.

Rob was the DJ at my wedding in Dayton Oh. He was amazing! Rob and his assistants are extremely professional and pay great attention to detail. To me, the Master of Ceremonies is one of the most important vendors of the day. DJs control the flow and organization of the entire reception. We were in great hands with Rob. In addition, I have a very sentimental Dad who was very nervous about the Father of the Bride speech. Rob handled him beautifully; keeping him calm and giving him a great pep talk! Encore Entertainment is fantastic; they are worth every penny!

Encore Entertainment (Jeremy) served as the DJ for our wedding. We had been warned that no matter what we prepared for the wedding, if the DJ didn’t perform well, the reception would suffer. Jeremy was great!!!! the dance floor was packed all night. We are so happy we choose Encore Entertainment and specifically Jeremy.

I’m sure this wasn’t the easiest venue to set up, our wedding and reception were both outdoors and it required him to set up for both events. He was prompt, professional and just an overall great guy. We would highly recommend Encore to anyone looking for a great service!

The idea of hiring a DJ for our daughter's wedding was unnerving to say the least. Then we met Rob from Encore Entertainment. Rob's level of sophistication was exactly what we were looking for for our daughter's wedding and reception at the Dayton Art Institute. He was able to accommodate our every request including classical selections for the ceremony, jazz for the cocktail hour, and a perfect mix of crooners to top 40 for the reception. The transition for our guests to three different venues within the Dayton Art Institute was flawless under Rob's direction. His announcements were tasteful and his ability to take control and keep things moving allowed us to relax and enjoy every minute of this perfect evening. He is excellent in his profession and I would recommend him to anyone!

Through a referral from a friend, we booked Encore as our DJ and were immediately eased of any concern we had during our first meeting with Jeremy. I've been in plenty of non-productive meetings with disorganized people in hectic situations like planning a wedding, however Jeremy set the tone immediately with his organization and detail... enough to make me feel slightly disorganized! The preparation / planning only took a few minutes and Jeremy's suggestions helped guide us through the schedule. We left the meeting in full confidence that Jeremy could do exactly as he promised.

Every wedding day has it's "bumps" and "detours" and we experienced a few on our day but the show goes on. With Jeremy, in fact the show did go on and enough so that nobody noticed the "bumps" or "detours". When your entire wedding party plows through the doors unannounced before their prompt, you get a little "uh-oh" in your head. Jeremy handled it perfectly and made it appear as if it was all planned and progressed through the introductions without missing a beat.

His song selection was right on key with the playlist we discussed in our prep meeting. The music flowed just as we wanted it to throughout the night and even snuck in a few surprises that made the whole experience that much more fun. We can't thank Encore enough for the experience and being a part of our day.

Rob was wonderful. We didnt know what music to ask him to play and he read the crowd beautifully, the dance floor was always full. Jeremy was our DJ and he did such a great job on our reception. Encore price is expensive, but it's really worth the money. Jeremy made the reception went smoothly and it had a good flow. Music selection was awesome and it's not cheesy at all. He made sure that the names were pronounced correctly and he kept informing us on what's going on during the reception. After being an event coordinator for Cameron Mitchell Catering for 3 years, I had seen a lot of Dj's in the area. When I found out that I was getting married, Rob was the very first thing I booked because I knew he would set the tone for my entire wedding and that he was the best in the business. I got married on Kelleys Island and Rob agreed to come all the way up there to support my husband Jay and I on our special day. The night was amazing and Rob got people on the dance floor that I am sure have not danced in several years. People are still talking about it!! We had a difficult time deciding which DJ to go with. Encore entertainment was more expensive then the other DJ's in the area, but in the end we are so happy we decided to spend the extra money to go with them. It was totally worth it!!! Jeremy was our DJ, and he did an awesome job. When it came down to making decisions on our wedding music, we were so "decisioned out". Rob and Jeremy made everything so easy for us by having great suggestions for all the music. We let Jeremy decided on the music for the entire reception, and he did a great job. People were dancing the whole night, and no one has stopped talking about how much fun they had at our wedding. My parents, and the venue complimented on how professional and friendly Jeremy was. Greg and I also appreciated how attentive he was to us the entire night. He made sure we were doing all right, and made sure we always knew what was going to happen next. Rob provided us with great music at our cocktail hour and reception. He was very professional and very perceptive. He seemed to read the crowd well. We just got our wedding photos from our photographer, and it's evident that our guests had a fantastic time at the reception largely due to Rob. Rob DJ'd at our wedding at the Franklin Park Conservatory on March 20th, 2010 and did an absolutely amazing job! He made everything go so smooth even before the event. He actually took time to meet with us and helped pick out our songs for the wedding ceremony and reception. This was a huge help since I had no idea which songs would work well and really needed suggestions. I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing and he was very professional. He was so nice to my parents and guests and worked well with all the other vendors. He had great communication with our wedding coordinator throughout the event. Everyone at the conservatory knew him well and had nothing but great things to say about him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or any type of event. He is excellent!!!!

Our wedding reception was a hit!!! The was a special occasion that my husband and I took a lot of time planning. We wanted to make everything perfect. We are not "music" people, so we decided to leave most of this decision in the hands of Rob and Jeremy. This was one of the best decisions we made! Jeremy chose the perfect songs based on how the crowd was feeling. My dad even danced and I have never seen him dance on my 29 years of life! Jeremy was wonderful in helping us keep a timeline (as hard as it was for us!) and keepin the evening going with a great flow of music perfect for every setting. I have received many compliments and thank you's for the time my guest's spent at the reception. Jeremy helped make this the wedding of the year for our friends and family. (One of my guests words exactly!) I would recommend Encore to anyone, and plan on using them again in the future for any occasion/event we plan!

Our DJ from Encore Entertainment was Rob McDowell. He did an absolutely amazing job. He was knowledgeable, professional and creative. He has a great personality which enables him to engage your guests to make sure everyone has a great time. He was very responsive when we asked him questions and had a lot of great ideas to make our event a success. Encore Entertainment is the BEST in Columbus! Rob and his team did an incredible job at our wedding!!!! Our guests raved about how perfect every last music selection was... From cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, our music matched our tastes as well as our guests. Rob was wonderful at making sure we kept moving through our time line efficiently, yet still gave us enough time to do all of the little things a Bride and Groom get pulled into doing. He was flexible and accommodating. And the dancing portion of our night-WOW! He chose just the right music to get the party started and it never ended! Our guests danced until the very end. We hired Encore to DJ our wedding reception at The Columbus Athenaeum. Dave did an excellent job making sure everything ran smoothly. We gave him very little direction as to what music to play during open dancing. He read the crowd and played the perfect mix to keep guests of all ages on the dance floor all night. We would not hesitate to recommend Dave to any one throwing a party!

My husband and I had the time of our life at our wedding thanks to Jeremy and had a great time planning it thanks to Rob! Everything was perfect and they were so easy to get a long with and make our day so special! The one thing I said was I wanted an amazing DJ and we got what we wanted out of Encore. I am the Father of the Bride and I just want to let people know how great Encore Entertainment, and Rob McDowell, were to work with at my daughters wedding. Although my daughter did all the planning, I wanted to mix up the Father-Daughter Dance a little, and Rob did a great job with that. Rob kept the Wedding activities right on schedule, with plenty of notice as to who and what was to happen next. And last but not least the music was perfect. Rob kept the dance floor full all night long, including all of my 50+ year old friends. If your having a wedding with a DJ, you won't go wrong with Encore entertainment!

Rob did a fantastic job! Preplanning was a snap. He was the leader and took our worries away. We had some last minute changes that he accomodated wonderfully. Rob McDowell, owner of Encore Entertainment, was a recommendation to us by friends who had him as their DJ when he was just starting out his business. So, we were surprised to find out that Rob was now incredibly successful and had many clientele working for him (who he trains himself). Rob has been awarded the 2007 and 2008 The Knots best DJ award. We were told that Rob was the best, that he would make our wedding the best ever. Of course I had to find out for myself. When I called, he was fun, upbeat, confident, and so reassuring about his abilities that I never doubted how fun and successful my wedding would be. But his abilities surpassed even these expectations. I am a busy medical student attending Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine and my time is limited, meaning I was mostly in contact with Rob through email. I didn't have time to pick out every song for the reception. This is the ultimate reason I hired Rob. Rob handled the planning of my reception with such professionalism that I never worried!! My new husband and I met with Rob the day before the wedding (when I was available in Columbus), ran through the details and my wedding was the most beautiful, fun wedding I have ever been to. My parents received calls throughout the next week (while I was on my honeymoon) from friends and family continually gushing about the success, the smoothness of the reception and the atmosphere Rob McDowell created that made it fun for every single person attending no matter how young or old.

Not only was Rob incredibly professional and a huge success, he took our wedding as seriously as if it was his own. Honestly, now that I can sit down and think about it, he made it seem as if our wedding was the only wedding he had all year. This personal service made it seem like he only needed our business. I never ran into conflicts when trying to contact him or talk to him or ask him questions. He was there on the phone within 10 minutes or an email reply within the hour. I love a prompt person and he prompt and personal. I couldnt have asked for a better person for the job.

My fiancé took a liking to Rob immediately. Obviously the guy isn't that excited all the time to go meet with vendors. But my fiancé made it a point to be at the DJ meetings every time. My husband (now..haha) hit it off with Rob and Rob treated us both like we were lifelong friends. What Im saying is, if you want a DJ that is so personal it seems like you are his only project (we all know he was incredibly busy), Rob should be your DJ. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with his service. Rob honestly has a talent that can't be matched by any other DJ I have seen at a wedding.

On top of that, Rob ran the entire reception. Meaning, he was the guy that said when to serve food, when we would do the dances, when the bouquet toss was, etc. He didnt run around the reception looking hurried, he calmly and discreetly would approach the appropriate parties and tell them when it was time to do what they needed to do. It took the load off our shoulders when trying to coordinate the reception. Since he was in charge of the entire reception, no one (not me, my husband, mom or dad) had to worry about a thing. Rob took care of it all. We didn't even have a wedding planner...that is how GREAT Rob is at what he does.
Encore Entertainment allows you to choose who you want to do your DJ-ing. We chose Rob and he also brought a wonderful guy that worked with him to help Rob out. He was also amazing. Anyone who get Rob or the guys working with him will be pleased and so happy. Of course I cant stop gushing, but it is because my husband and I honestly believe that our investment in this young man and company was the best we could do with our money, time, and trust. I hope each new bride gets the amazing experience like I had with Rob McDowell and Encore Entertainment. Honestly, hire this company, you wont have to worry about a thing and it will MAKE your wedding day unique and special!

Lastly, here is personal THANK YOU to Rob. You have touched our lives in an incredible way. We wouldn't have wanted any other DJ to run our reception on the most important day of our lives, our wedding day. We feel truly blessed to have had your professionalism, honestly, hard work, kindness, laughter, joking, sweat and tears on this project. I dont care what it would have cost; if I had known how wonderful you would have made our wedding day when I hired you, you could have asked for ANY amount and we would have paid it. Thank you so much Rob, I KNOW you will be the best DJ for anyone who asks it of you.

WOW! What a fantastic job Jeremy did as the DJ for my daughter's wedding! While I did not personally have any direct contact with Rob or Jeremy during the planning stages (the bride and groom took care of that), as the first time Mother-of-the-Bride who wanted everything to be perfect, I couldn't have been more pleased with the services that Encore Entertainment provided for music during the evening reception. Jeremy knew just when to mellow things out and when to turn up the beat! Having Rob from Encore as our DJ was absolutely the one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Before Rob I really didn't realize everything that a good DJ really does (DJ, MC, adviser, helping hand). Rob worked with my venue and caterers ensuring that my husband and I had the least amount of stress possible on our wedding day. Rob had such great suggestions for songs (everyone LOVED the music). During the evening Rob was very hands on, making sure things got done.

One of the best things about Rob is his final meeting discussion on weddings in general...I won't spoil the details, you'll have to hire him to find out what I'm talking about, but there were so many times during the night I just reminded myself of what Rob said.

There is not one thing I would change about my music or hiring Rob. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Our DJ set the mood for the entire wedding reception. I am so happy we chose Encore. Rob was our DJ and he was fantastic to work with. He communicated with us throughout the whole process and made us feel completely comfortable with our choice and that our wedding would be amazing. And amazing it was! Rob was absolutely great, from the wedding party introductions to the very last song. He kept the reception on track and running smoothly and was always there to grab us a drink or anything else we needed.
The thing we loved most though about Rob, on top of playing great songs and keeping all the guests dancing and happy, he gave us some "words of wisdom" for our reception and overall wedding day. He was absolutely right and we are grateful we had someone to give us that advice. The only thing we'd change would have been to have him stay an hour longer!

Any couple would be lucky to have Rob DJ their reception and be a part of their wedding day!!
