Rodney had the house rocking!

Rodney absolutely killed it for my Wife and Is wedding! We knew he would because he did an awesome job a year before at my best man’s wedding! He kept the show on the road throughout the entire dinner and then had the dance floor packed for 3 straight hours! Professional, timely, well prepared, and has a great feel for a crowd. Everything you need in a DJ to ensure your perfect day goes smoothly and everyone has a blast. Ive gotten to attend several weddings the past couple of years and i can say without a doubt the DJ is one of the most important parts of the night! If you book Rodney, you are halfway there to having an incredible wedding! The other parts are up to you (dont get to drunk, and make sure you say “I do”!)

Stellar Sounds & An Awesome Guy!

As a wedding planner, I have had the privilege of collaborating with numerous DJs, but very little of them have left me as impressed and delighted as Astro Events. DJ Rodney’s performance at our recent wedding was nothing short of exceptional, creating an electrifying atmosphere that had everyone on their feet, dancing the night away.

Astro Events demonstrated an unmatched level of professionalism, expertise, and passion from the very first interaction. Their attention to detail and commitment to understanding the couple's musical preferences, as well as the overall ambiance of the wedding, was truly commendable.

Rodney Charles was hands down the best DJ I have ever seen. He was a consummate professional the whole time, and did absolutely everything to accommodate my wife and I at our wedding reception. Rodney was incredibly talented, and incredibly humble at the same time, which is so very rare. He called my wife and I prior to the wedding, completely understood everything we wanted him to do, and gave us much needed peace of mind. There was never a dull or stagnant moment throughout the whole reception, and he is 100% responsible for that. This is someone we will absolutely use again for future events, and give him our highest recommendation to anyone looking for an outstanding DJ!

From the moment we got engaged, we knew we would be using Astro for our DJ - their whole team is amazing!!! Even knowing that though, could not have prepared me for the INCREDIBLE job that Rodney did. My new husband and I were truly blown away - the dance floor was packed from BEFORE the main food went out, and never stopped all night. My 86 year old great aunt was breaking it down, and our friends that aren't typically big dancers, were on the dance floor THE WHOLE NIGHT - it was a true testament to Rodney's skills. He is most definitely in the right profession. Not only that, but Rodney is fun and easy to work with. He made the whole process stress-free, and while we had a few requests that he played, we left the rest up to him...AND. HE. NAILED. IT. He was totally flexible with a last-minute change in the order of events, and was also a great emcee - got everyone pumped up and he made clear, professional announcements, without sounding the least bit cheesy (as some wedding DJs can). Rodney was such a huge part of making our reception the best night of our lives, and we could not have been happier with our decision to hire him. Thanks again, Rodney!!!

COULD NOT have had a better DJ! He was amazing, Rodney came highly recommended per many co-workers! He M'd the entire wedding, played a great mixture and even played spanish music so my culture would be represented. By far the best experience ever!

Rodney created the PERFECT night! Before we get to that, it should be known that Rodney was there every step of the way! We knew from working/attending other functions that Rodney DJed for that when we got engaged that we HAD to have him at our wedding. He was one of the very first vendors that we booked to make sure we secured him! Rodney helped us figure out how the flow of the night would go, gave us ideas for songs, and shortened/edited songs so that they would fit perfect with our day. He was super responsive to every question we had.

So the day of the wedding...Rodney went above and beyond for hooking up extra equipment for us. One of my favorites...he showed up in a bow tie in the colors of our wedding! It's the little things :) He kept the dance floor rocking the whole night! He played all of the must haves that my bridal party suggested. He was professional, fun, and a crowd pleaser!

Thanks for giving us the private dance moment at the end :) It is a memory we will cherish forever!

Rodney really knows how to entertain a crowd. We gave him our musical tastes, and let him pick all the songs. He even took requests and everything turned out perfect!

We used DJ Rodney Charles for our wedding ceremony and reception on October 19,2012. I can not say enough wonderful things about this man! He was by far one of the easiest vendors to work with. He made every step of the way so easy, comfortable, and fun! He kept the party going all night,played awesome music, and took ques from us about changing things on the fly with no problem. He worked with us to create an original intro to Phil Collins, In the Air Tonight, that my guests are still talking about! That was one of my favorite moments at my wedding, and he made it possible. He pronounced all names correctly, and played all our requested music selections. He is the best DJ I have ever worked with, and I will recommend him to every Bride I know.
Thanks Rodney for just being you! You have perfected your craft, and it was an honor to have you perform at our wedding!

Rodney was amazing from the first meeting we had in December to our big day on October 20, 2012. He met with me 3-4 times to thoroughly help me plan our music and timing to make our event flow smoothly throughout the night, and it did! The dance floor was packed all night, and the music fit my guests’ style to a “T.” Rodney really kept the vibe going all evening, and I received numerous positive feedback from my guests on how much they enjoyed the DJ and his music selection. He gave the event a heartbeat and really brought it to life. I loved that he also worked with me to create a special remix so that my Dad and I had a unique first dance song that we’d choreographed. It was that special extra touch that Rodney helped us create. His services are definitely worth the investment, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for the perfect DJ.

We booked Rodney Charles for my daughter's October 2012 wedding almost a year out. In working with him over the past year, he was most helpful in helping the couple plan their music. The bride did a choreographed father-daughter dance so he designed a CD for them to practice and gave them helpful tips. Rodney was great in keeping the crowd dancing throughout the evening. The one desire the bride had was for everyone to have a great time. When we saw that the dance floor was full most of the evening I knew they were. So many of the guests commented on what a great job he did and how much fun they had. Rodney was most professional and provided quality service. I would highly recommend his service to anyone planning a special event.

Arch Entertainment was great to work with. When the DJ I wanted was already booked they worked with me find another DJ that was a great match for our personalities and wedding style. DJ Ivan did a great job for our ceremony music and reception. While a few of our must plays were missed, everyone raved about the music selections and stayed glued to the dance floor all night!

I recently got married in Williamsburg, VA on June 16th and had Luke Barton from Astro Entertainment Company in Va Beach as my DJ. He was AWESOME. We talked several times over the phone and he met my expectations/requests completely. He was very responsive to my calls and emails. I could not be more happy with the way the ceremony and reception music went. I would recommend him to any bride. Also, since the wedding I have talked to several of my guests who have all raved over the wonderful job he did. Thanks again, Luke!!!

DJ Delvin Peeks was awesome!! Not only great to work with planning our night, but so punctual, and professional. He is cool under pressure, and came dressed to the 9's!! Arch Ent is amazing!!! Ivan Johnson Is the best!!!He played great music for everyone.. my family has people of all ages and everyone got to dance throughout the night. DJ Luke Barton was fantastic. He kept the music going and the dance floor packed. He also was attentive during the reception and helped make any changes to the schedule that were necessary. I would not have used anyone else - DJ Luke is the best.

Our DJ Rodney Charles was part of a package deal through The Yacht Club at Marina Shores for my daughter's wedding on May 13, 2012. I can't say enough about how great a job he did. He did a fantastic job with the music for the wedding and the reception. He kept everything flowing all evening long and right on time. He was very responsive to anything we wanted played or didn't want played. His forms online to fill out don't leave anything to chance. The only suggestion I would make is that he bring a large stack of his business cards to all his events because I know of several different people asking for them.

I absolutely loved working with Arch Entertainment. Everyone that I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. All of my E-mail, voicemails and text messages were replied to within hours.
The DJ we used was Luke Barton, who was just amazing. My husband and I both enjoyed our meetings with me. On the day of the wedding Luke went above and beyond his DJ duties. At one point he was helping my husband find my flip flops so I could get out of my heels. He was being so helpful a friend thought he was the wedding coordinator as well as the DJ. He even took some time to tell one of our groomsmen how all of his equipment worked and how it gets set up.

I would have no hesitation recommending Arch Entertainment to anyone in Hampton Roars looking for a DJ. They were by far my favorite vendor to work with.

Arch Entertainment was fantastic to work with - DJ Rodney Charles was great and our guests kept commenting on how great the DJ was. They were also able to incorporate all of the wedding songs I wanted for our ceremony (I didn't want the traditional wedding march, etc.). I highly recommend them as your wedding DJ and couldn't have hoped for anything more!

There's a reason Rodney has 5 star reviews from all of his clients, he is AMAZING! He obviously has such a passion for what he does and he's got a real talent for feeling out a crowd and really getting an idea of what's working for a particular audience. We told him what type of vibe we were looking for and he delivered perfectly!

All of our wedding guests absolutely loved him, he's completely professional, not one of those cheesy wedding djs, and knows exactly how to get a crowd excited. I 110% recommend him for ANY type of party you're having! You will NOT regret it!

Rodney was awesome to work with and he found the perfect deejay for our wedding. DJ Ivan was on point and met with my husband and I beforehand to make sure everyone was on the same page. Arch Entertainment and Rodney Charles provided the music for our wedding in virginia beach in june 2011. My wife and I, and our guests could not be more impressed with the evening's entertainment.
Rodney was awesome. From our phone conversations, first meeting, all the way to the days leading up to the event he made sure that we got everything we wanted from the experience. They say its all about you, but with arch entertainment it really is
From 80 somethings to 10 year olds, every person was dancing. Rodney played a little bit of eveything. There were no dull moments. He did not make it about him, which some DJ's do at weddings. He stayed back, played great music and let the party develop.
I told rodney after the party that I would have paid him more money if I Knew how great of a job he was going to do. He was very reasonably priced for a friday evening, and the extra touches of speakers in the cocktail hour room and classy accent lighting.
They say music can make or break a wedding. We were very happy with rodney and Arch. Rodney definately made our night.

DJ Jonathan Frank was on-time, polite, friendly, and kept to our music suggestions. For planning, he was open to as much or as little input as we wanted to give. He kept our dinner and reception going smoothly. He was a great MC, not overbearing or obnoxious in the least. He also worked well with our coordinator, and pronounced all of our names correctly! If we had to do it all over again, we would choose Jonathan Frank :)

Absolutely WONDERFUL! We were after a good party and Rodney helped provide that. He included a great mix of music that pleased everyone. Most importantly, he was able to put it together with general/basic feedback from us....we did not spend hours creating song lists. We picked a few special song for us and then we told him to do what he had to do! He was able to read the crowd easily and create a FABULOUS reception for us.

Rodney did an amazing job! By far the best venfor we worked with. We recieved countless comments from guests, close family, and even the officient that "We have a really good DJ". We signed him over a year in advance of our event and he was available to talk via phone and email whenever we had questions during that period. His delivery at the wedding was phenominal. He worked an extra hour which we requested last minute. His sound system sounded great; he provided our audio for a outdoor ceremony, with a wireless mic for the officient. His reception equipment sounded great and had more of "clean" look than other weddings I've been to. He suggested his extra lighting which def added to the ambiance. He did a great job MC-ing the event by entertaining, keeping our schedule, and not speaking too much or too little. I will recommend to my sisters that he is the only option in Tidewater.

Rodney Charles is an ultimate professional. He did our wedding ceremony music and reception. He worked with us to make our ceremony absolutely wonderful! We got so many complements from our guests. We had Ivan from the Arch team and he was a great fit for our perfect day. Ivan's personality was not obstrusive and he added a great charisma. We had a fairly eclectic Indy rock mix that we suggested and he tailored it perfectly, read the crowd and integrated our crazy family dances in at the perfect time. We wouldn't have changed a thing and would highly recommend Ivan as well as Arch Entertainment.

We did not give Rodney a play/do not play list for our wedding but he did an excellent job selecting songs that pleased every guest. He was extremely organized and was always checking in with us to make sure everything was set for the wedding day. He was very reliable and I would refer him to any bride looking for a great DJ. With eveything else we had to do and plan for the wedding, it was a huge relief to have Rodney take care of everything!

DJ Rodney made my day extra special. I had a rowdy crowd at my wedding and Rodney was very responsive to their needs on the dance floor! Rodney is an absolute must hire if your going to hire a DJ. He was prompt for our meetings, responsive to email and he worked with us on pricing (simply a professional). He has been doing weddings for some time now and knows what he's doing. An example for you...We asked for only two songs to be played in advance of the wedding and told him to make it as fun as he could...everyone and I mean everyone including my dad was singing along to the songs during dinner and soon after the first few tables finished eating...they were on the dance floor. We got married at the Marina Shores Yacht Club on March 26, 2011 and Rodney was our amazing DJ. We are currently stationed in Mississippi and I had no idea what DJ company to use since I couldn't interview them. My friend who is getting married in Sept suggested that we go with Arch Entertainment and it was the best wedding investment we made. He was on point the whole night. He loved our "Do not play list" and made sure all of our "Must play songs" were played. The dance floor was alive all night long and we couldn't get enough!! It's only been a week since our wedding but everyone still talks about it and how much fun everyone had dancing. I would recommend Arch Entertainment to anyone that is looking for a fun night filled with quality and lots of dancing! Thanks Rodney for making our night so memorable!!!! We would do it all over again :)

Our DJ was Luke Barton from Arch Entertainment, and he was absolutely fantastic! He is definitely several steps above the standard wedding DJ -- everyone was on the dance floor the entire time, Luke played tasteful, upbeat music and the energy was like being in a club. Going with Luke at Arch Entertainment was one of the best investments for our wedding. It really does make a huge difference in the flow and atmosphere of the reception. I HIGHLY recommend Arch to everyone.

Rodney was absolutely wonderful in all the planning leading up to the wedding as well as on the big day! Arch Entertainment is truly all about the bride and groom! He let us pick Must-Play and Must-Not-Play songs for our wedding reception and he even mixed two songs for our Father/Daughter dance (the songs were very different and he did a WONDERFUL job of blending the two together!). Rodney definitely knows how to keep the party going - all of our guests were on the dance floor the whole night! Everyone had a blast and we are so thankful to Arch Entertainment for their personalized service that helped make our night so special!!!

rodney was the most amazing Dj I could have ever asked for.I was on a budget and he was able to work with it, and not only give me what was contracted but I know he went above and beyond and made every dine worth it!
He was so very easy to talk with and get into contact with, and he was willing to do anything and everything we asked for!

He was not a chattly all about himself DJ, he also was not a shy DJ he was PERFECT! The was able to get the crowd to dance right from the very start! Ever request was played!
The event went so very smoothly and it was due to his professionalism and positive attitude.

I would reccoment him to any bride that wants to have a good time at her reception.

We could not have made a better selection in a DJ. Rodney has variety of music to choose, was able to accomodate any special and/or specific requests of ours, great personality, very professional, he took his time with us and made himself available to assist us when deciding on our music selections. Everyone had such a good time at our reception and we have received many compliments about Rodney. So many people have said they have never seen that many people on the dance floor all at once. Hiring DJ Rodney Charles was one of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning. He is a very tasteful and creative DJ and won't pull off any embarrassing DJ stunts at your wedding. He's very personable as well and it was always fun meeting with him. He's very punctual and responds to emails quickly. I was so stressed with wedding plans that I really just put all the music choices in his hands and gave him free reign. He did an absolutely amazing job and really set the mood.

He's a class A DJ and I would recommend him to everyone. He tailors the music around your style and does it in good taste. He is also very competitve in his pricing and I honestly would've paid more to have him. I really can't say enough about him. Fun guy!

Ivan was our DJ at our wedding and we could'nt have been happier! He was so easy to work with from start to finish and despite my picky music choices, he was very accomodating and professional. Rodney was absolutely AMAZING, my guests didn't leave the dance floor the entire night! He was extremely professional, and attentive to our requests. He understood us as a couple and the crowd as a whole, knowing exactly what to play and when to play it. Aside from his talent, he was extremely dependable, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. For example, I had to change a song seconds before the mother/son dance. It was an extremely rare song that I was sure he wouldn't find. Without question, Rodney did what he had to do and was ready to go...in seconds :) Needless to say, I would highly recommend his services to anyone!

Rodney and his crew were awesome! I would highly recommend Arch to anyone looking for entertainment for their party. Besides keeping everyone in the main ball room entertained Rodney hooked up our kids room with a great DJ. One of my friends with a child that is touched with Autism came out and told me that her son totally came out of his shell and sang on the Karoke machine all night. He was chilling with the DJ and requesting songs all night long. It is moments like this that are priceless and when you come by a company filled with people that go above and beyond there is never a reason to ever look anywhere else.

Arch entertainment covered both my ceremony and the following reception. I loved the services provided by DJ Rodney and his associate DJ Ivan. I have to admit that I was the most clueless bride. I have only attended a few weddings and had no idea how the night should flow. Rodney and Ivan took the reins of the evening with nothing but finesse. We couldn't be any happier with a DJ or band than we are with Rodney. As we were planning our wedding, other wedding vendors would ask me, "Are you having a band or a DJ?" I'd say, "DJ." They'd say, "Who is your DJ?" I'd say, "Rodney Charles." Then would come the endless praises, "OMG, you're going to LOVE Rodney. He is the best around. He is just awesome. You're going to be so happy." Everyone was right!! During our wedding, we had so many guests come up to us to compliment the DJ and ask who he was. I know people who have paid 10x more for a band, and weren't as happy as we were with Rodney! I'll recommend him over and over.

Rodney was a pleasure to work and plan with. He was available via e-mail, chat, phone, and text. He always responded quickly. We met with him a couple of times before the wedding, and each meeting was enjoyable. We were planning from out of town, so Rodney worked with our schedule to fit in meetings. He made sure he understood what kind of reception we were looking for. He worked with our requests, but knew exactly what to play and when. The cocktail hour and dinner music was enjoyable for guests of all ages and backgrounds. Then Rodney knew just what to play to get people dancing, and at different points in the night he played different types of music to get different people moving.

Rodney's setup is discreet and attractive. He brought in lights, which enhanced the party mood of the dance floor and reception. Our cocktail hour was outside, and Rodney wired the sound system so that guests could hear both indoors and out. The music and announcements were always at a comfortable but noticeable volume. At the same time, there were still pockets of the reception where people could get away to have a quiet conversation. When Rodney spoke over the microphone, it was always completely appropriate and just right for politely getting guests' attention and announcing the next event in the reception.

My fiance originally had wanted a band, but I wanted to go with Rodney. During and after the reception, my now husband keeps repeating how happy he was with Rodney and how happy he was that we didn't go with a band. Rodney really made sure the evening flowed perfectly. We are so grateful for his contribution and we couldn't be happier!!

We could not be more happy with DJ Rodney. Not only was he extremely professional and easy to work with but he was the best DJ we have ever seen. Unbelievably professional. DJ Rodney Charles made us feel like we were his only clients. All I can say is just WOW about Rodney!!! My now husband and I received constant compliments about how awesome our music was (thanks to Rodney) during our reception, and still our guests are talking about it LONG after the wedding. One of the first things my husband said as we pulled away that evening was about how a friend of his that is very difficult to please with music kept commenting on how much of a great time he was having during the reception! Simply stated, Rodney definitely was able to cater to the needs of the large reception with classics to start off and then stepping up the pace later in the evening. VERY easy to talk to and get along with. I didn't feel at all like I had to spell the whole play list out with every song from start to finish. My fiance and I told Rodney the vibe we wanted with a few "must have" songs and some "do not plays", and from there Rodney filled in the blanks!

I've been to multiple weddings, where the D.J. was mediocre at best. I thought that this was the industry standard and perhaps our expectations were too high. Then we were referred to Rodney for our wedding, we booked him, he performed, and he changed our whole view of how DJ's should sound. Rodney makes the wedding about the Bride & Groom, not about the DJ. There are no shows, no acting out, just really good music performed by an extremely talented D.J. Rodney has the ability to keep people entertained throughout the whole event. Guests even commented on how good the music was during dinner hour, which has certainly been a rarity at most events I've attended. If there is question of whom you should choose for your special event, look no further than D.J. Rodney Charles.

DJ Rodney was incredible. The tone he set for the wedding and the schedule he used with the music were perfect. I would absolutely recommend DJ Rodney Charles. He is awesome. You and your guests will have a great time. He gets the party going by playing what you and your guests want to hear. He is attentive and will respect your wishes by sticking to the music you chose. He is professional. We had a last minute request during the reception and he accomadated it, no problem! You wont go wrong with him as your DJ.

DJ Luke Barton was our DJ from Arch Entertainment and he was AWESOME! We couldnt have had a better experience. We had high expectations and he met and surpassed them all.

We had a great experience with DJ Seamus both in preparation for and during our wedding. Very personable and helpful, and flexible with some things we wanted to do. A very good job all around, and we appreciate both him and Rodney for being so easy to work with.

Extremely happy with our DJ. Rodney was also quick to answer emails and voicemails. My husband and I did not want to pick all of our songs to play and so we gave him ideas on what we liked. He did an amazing job picking the songs and throughout the night the dance floor was packed! :)

Seriously the time of my life!

He had everyone on their feet dance the entire night! No one wanted to leave at the end. To me a good DJ was so important for my wedding so I’m glad we went with Rodney! It was a blast

DJ Rodney was very flexible and willing to work with our hectic schedules as well as our ecclectic taste in music. My guests LOVED him and the quality of his equipment is wonderful. He was early and stayed late to clean up. He did not book more than one client in a day and we felt as though we were his only clients.!!

Rodney and Luke were great to work with and helped with lots of suggestions. They worked with me on adjusting the price and timing due to our budget. They were fun and entertaining to work with. I highly recommend them!
