DLCB will be the difference maker at your wedding, separating your event from a typical cookie cutter wedding band.

My wife and I have seen DLCB at a few different friends weddings at this point and so we know just how great they are. The impressive thing to me was how different each wedding felt as they will cater to your tastes and feedback, playing a different set with an energy and flow that is unique to your specific party. They are truly the conductors of your event controlling the energy so that by the end of the night, the dance floor will be completely full and dancing as if it were a rock concert. At the end of the night, all we kept hearing was how incredible the band was and coming from a family of critical music lovers, is such a joy to hear. Music can dictate the feeling of your wedding night and if you are worried about your wedding feeling cliché and too similar to the many other wedding bands out there, then hire these guys and you will not regret it.

Outstanding in every way

Dexter Lake Band was absolutely exceptional and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Their ability to read the room and keep the energy high all night was unmatched — I genuinely never left the dance floor. They played for over two hours straight without taking a break, and every single guest, from our friends to older family members, was up dancing all night.

This was especially meaningful for our family because they’ve now played all three siblings’ weddings over the last 10 years, and somehow they’re even better now than ever.

Beyond the incredible music and nonstop energy, Tim and the entire team were amazing to work with throughout the planning process. During the chaos of coordinating vendors and constant back-and-forth, they were always responsive, quick to answer questions, and happy to hop on the phone whenever needed. Their professionalism and organization made everything so much easier.

If you want a wedding band that will keep the dance floor packed and create an unforgettable night, BOOK THEM IMMEDIATELY. Truly incredible.

DLCB was amazing from the start. Super organized leading up to our wedding with scheduling meetings periodically to check in. The day of our wedding they were unbelievable. They read the room perfectly and made our dancefloor SO FUN. They absolutely crushed it. Very talented and very fun.

Dexter Lake Club Band is perfect for weddings

It's hard to put into words just how amazing Dexter Lake Club Band was at our wedding! Their talent is off the charts, and they have an incredible gift for sensing exactly what music will keep the party going. Our dance floor was overflowing the entire evening - everyone from our grandparents to our college friends danced nonstop. The next day, multiple guests told us it was hands-down the best wedding band they'd ever heard. We were beyond impressed!

The entire planning process was smooth and stress-free. The band was always quick to respond, accommodating, and even learned five special songs specifically for our event. They coordinated effortlessly with our venue to handle all the logistics and setup, making sure everything ran perfectly on our big day.

We truly couldn't have chosen a better band.

Dlcb will make your party

Where do we begin?! Dexter Lake Club Band is absolutely incredible. They are SO talented and have an uncanny ability to read the crowd. They had the dance floor packed all night. Everyone from grandparents to our college friends were dancing ALL NIGHT LONG. Multiple people came up to us the next day to tell us they were the best wedding band they've ever seen. They absolutely crushed it! We are blown away.

Everything leading up to the wedding was seamless. The band was responsive and helpful, and learned 5 songs for us. They worked with our venue on set up and logistics to ensure the morning of the wedding went smoothly.

Best wedding band ever!

Every band claims to be the best wedding band out there - they are all wrong - except Dexter Lake Club Band.

The best decision we made (other than getting married to each other) was to work with you guys. From the ease of logistics leading up to it, to the ceremony/cocktail hour, dinner music, and most importantly absolutely rocking out with you guys - what an amazing experience! Not to mention, you are kind, cool, and SO FUN!!

The number of guests asking who you are and commenting that this was by far the "best band they've seen at a wedding" I completely lost count. Not only are you a group of extremely talented musicians, you are masters of logistical flow and you read the room and respond to it incredibly well. Even our vendors were impressed — our photographer and videographer team stopped us on multiple occasions to say you were the best band they had ever heard.

Thank you thank you thank you. You truly made the night what it was - which was an incredible party that we will never forget.

From start to finish, Jamie & Tim lead with professionalism and responsiveness. Having never seen them live and going off a friend's recommendation, they made us feel confident in our decision from our first conversation and we knew we were in good hands. DLCB is the best!!

Dexter Lake Club Band is absolutely incredible. From the beginning, they were super easy to work with, very responsive and happy to jump on a call to chat. On our wedding day, they smashed it! It felt like we were at a rock and roll concert and we all danced the night away. Best wedding band. Ever!

We hired Dexter Lake Club for our May 2023 wedding and it was honestly one of the best things we have ever done. To this day, we still get compliments of how great they are. The entire party was dancing all night. They have an extremely unique knack of totally understanding the couple they are working with and playing EXACTLY what you want to hear. They are so insanely talented and fun. We have been to a couple weddings since then where DLC played and it was such a blast to see them again! Favorite people, favorite band, we are so insanely lucky that they were recommended to us.

Dexter Lake Club MADE our wedding

Dexter Lake Club Band is unlike any wedding band you have heard or seen before. nothing short of incredible! If you want your wedding to be an unforgettable celebration filled with the best music and non-stop dancing, Dexter Lake Club is it.

My now-husband and I were lucky enough to see Dexter Lake Club at a friend’s wedding in 2022. This was before we were even engaged, but we both looked at each other and said this will be our wedding band. Before even booking our venue, we reached out to Dexter Lake Club to confirm that they were available the same day options as our venue. There was no way we were having our wedding without them. From the very beginning, Tim and Jamie were responsive, flexible, and open to any and all crazy ideas we had for our wedding. They took the time to understand our musical preferences and even learned a few special songs for us.

On the big day, they exceeded all expectations. The band's energy was infectious, and our dance floor was packed from start to finish - people didn’t even want to leave. Usually after a wedding, you tell the couple that their band was great and forget about it, but even as I write this, a little over a month later, we are STILL getting friends and family telling us how much they loved DLC and the energy they brought to our wedding - many saying ours was the most fun wedding they have EVER been to.

Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, but they also know how to read the crowd and keep the party going. They interacted with the guests, creating an engaging and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

Dexter Lake Club band played a significant role in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. Their music added an extra layer of magic to the celebration, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dexter Lake Club Band - Unforgettable in Every Way!

Our son and daughter-in-law were recently married at a beautiful spot in Stone Ridge NY in the Hudson Valley. The wedding weekend was truly perfect, and if there is an adjective more superlative than perfect, I would use it for the DLC Band! We're a pretty musical family, and were extremely pleased we found them; their training, bios, experience and videos were a real cut above others. But when we heard them warming up before the wedding ceremony... to a person, we all found each other to exclaim some version of - "DID YOU HEAR THE BAND?!?" They are true artists and professional in every way, and their joy amplified our joy. Their renditions of legendary pieces were extraordinary and absolutely everyone 19-90 was dancing into the night. Countless wedding guests continue to remark on the band - we could not have been happier or more grateful!!

More than just a band for you wedding - truly the life of the party

Dexter Lake Club absolutely made our wedding night - when planning our wedding we had reached out to several groups but none felt like the right fit, then we got on the phone with Jamie and knew this was the group for us! The band accommodated every single request, the pianist came a day early to play during our rehearsal dinner, a couple stayed late to jam on guitars during our after-party, and they learned multiple songs for us and knocked each one out of the park. Our only regret was not asking the venue to find a bigger dance floor because during the reception almost everyone was on their feet for hours! If you’re looking for a band we highly recommend!!

The best party decision you'll make - period.

The music for our wedding was hands down THE most important detail to my husband and I, and I can not emphasize enough how incredible Dexter Lake Club Band is. We wanted a party, it to feel like you were seeing a band on tour vs your run of the mill wedding band. Our wedding night was the absolute best evening of our lives and it truly would not have been the same without them. It has been four months, and our guests STILL have not stopped raving about the music. Everyone was blown away by their talent, the authenticity of the music, and the energy that the band brought to the crowd. No one wanted the music to end, so much so that the entire crowd chanted for an encore at the end of the night. It was truly incredible and such a dream for us. Booking Dexter Lake Club band is the best decision you'll make. We hope we get to see them live again soon!!!

Hands down the BEST party band

We had DLCB perform at our wedding on Oct. 8, 2022, in Boyce, VA. Once they started playing, the dance floor was packed for the rest of the evening. In addition to their incredible song list, they nailed all of our "special request" covers. Their talent and sound are unmatched. Best Party Band Ever

DLCB played at our wedding on September 24th, and we have not stopped talking about how amazing they were since. DLCB seriously rocked the sh** out of our wedding and made the night the most epic party of our lives. Our only regret of the night is that we couldn't have had them play for longer. All of our guests raved that DLCB was the best band they have heard at any wedding / corporate event / or even live music bar. We couldn't agree more. This is a real rock band, not a corny wedding band, and they kept the dance floor packed all night, playing high energy song after high energy song. Beyond that, DLCB helped orchestrate the perfect flow throughout the entire wedding day - from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception and through dinner and speeches. They even surprised me with an announcement of my dress change, which made me feel like an absolute star. Additionally, DLCB and Jamie were so professional and easy to work with throughout the planning process and made us feel confident and excited every step of the way. We hope to see DLCB at some of our friends' weddings in the future and are dreaming about the next event we can throw with DLCB.

DLC kindly flew all the way to Cody Wyoming for our ranch wedding. All of the guests agreed that the band and their epic performance was the complete wedding highlight. Jamie is incredibly responsive, kind and great to communicate with. Their song list couldn’t be better and the range of songs that they can perform is truly exceptional. They kept the party going and the dance floor entirely packed for their whole set. I’d recommend booking them asap as they are unsurprisingly in high, high demand. Amazing, customizable experience!

Dexter Lake was phenomenal! They worked with us at every turn to create an evening that was totally tailored to what we were looking for. Most epic wedding band ever

DLCB played at our wedding August 1 in the Hudson Valley and it was, in a word, epic. A friend recommended them to us after attending a wedding they played in Brooklyn and after hearing her rave and checking out their vibe and set list, we knew they would be the right fit. We were super excited to have a band and knew we wanted to veer more toward pop/modern covers and a fun dance party than the traditional wedding playlist, and they blew away any expectations I had. From the beginning, Jamie was articulate, thoughtful, communicative, and prompt. We scheduled an initial call to get to know each other and discuss details, and from there communicated via email any time I had questions and as we were putting together a playlist. Jamie had great recommendations for how to structure the run of show of the reception (multiple guests commented on how smooth it was) and were totally down with all our requests. During the ceremony, we had an acoustic setup, and then jazz during the cocktail hour. During the reception, Tim did a perfect job as a low-key, non-cheesy MC. After the planned dances, they launched into a rousing Jewish Hava Nagila that took things to the next level (as in, my 5'2" Catholic mother demanded that she also get lifted on a chair because it was that much fun). The reception dance party was probably the most fun I've ever had. They read the crowd perfectly and created the most insane dance party that culminated in multiple men tearing their shirts off as the entire crowd screamed the lyrics to Mr. Brightside (and then I Believe In a Thing Called Love). Our friends could not get over the band and talked about it for days. I want to get divorced just so I can have another wedding and be able to have them play again. They were amazing and cannot recommend them enough.

Such a talented group

We couldn't speak more highly of Dexter Lake Club. Right off the bat, communication leading up to the wedding was such a straightforward and easy process. Then, the actual wedding day was terrific! The minute they started their set, our guests flocked to the dance floor and that energy kept going all night. Their song selection was spot on and we felt that they nailed every song they took on - especially those that we requested. Such a talented group! We had a blast at our wedding and are so thankful to the band!

The Most Amazing Band

My husband and I wanted a band that gave us the feeling like we were at the bar with our friends, rocking out. Both of us loved going to going to hear bands at a bar in the city. We did not want a 12 -piece band that played the usual wedding fare. After looking and looking, we found Dexter Lake Club Band. Jaime, the point of contact, is amazing. He is really organized, easy to work with, and just a complete professional.

We elected 80s cover music and our friends loved it. They shouted for a request. The highlight was Smells Like Teen Spirit and we all went nuts. They are worth every single penny and more. I wish we still lived in the city because I want to hang out with them they were that cool.

Even the other wedding vendors were blown away by the band and posted video to their social media. That is how great they were.

There is zero chance you will be disappointed if you are lucky enough to have them at your event.

A must get!

DLC is the wedding band you absolutely NEED to have at your reception! They are so awesome - I don't think there was a single minute of our night that the dance floor wasn't packed. They know exactly how to read the crowd and play what will be right in that moment. I am so happy we hired them and am really hoping someone I know will hire them too so I can go to another wedding with DLC!! Fantastic.

I work in the music business, and as such was super particular about who to hire for a wedding band. A colleague raved to me about Dexter Lake Club Band, and they genuinely exceeded all my expectations. A fantastic set that had everyone dancing, and the loveliest people to deal with in advance of the event. We tested their limits with requests (including quite possibly the only live rendition ever of Fergie's "London Bridge" ever to take place) and they blew everyone away. Greatest Wedding Band There Ever Was or Will Be

My wife and I are big music fans and knew we wanted to have a band at our wedding. That said, after having been to so many weddings and seeing average bands that play the same songs, we knew we wanted to find the perfect band that embodied our relationship and the party that we wanted to throw with our friends and family to celebrate our love.

Dexter Lake Club Band was hands down the greatest thing about our wedding. These guys f****** rock. Seriously. From the moment we met Jamie at a showcase in the city and heard them, we knew this was the band we wanted to play at our wedding to have our guests dance and party their asses off.

Jamie and the group could not have been more professional, fun, enthusiastic, and amazing to work with. We had a small snafu with our original wedding date and had to move our wedding back three months and our biggest stressor was not the food, photographer, flowers, or anything, but ensuring the date lined up with DLCB’s availability. He knew we had to have them so our guests would hear the greatest wedding band there ever was.

Most importantly, the group knew how to cater their song choices to the audience. There were moments at my own wedding I truly felt like we were at a concert. I was looking around a bunch and saw people yelling lyrics at the top of their lungs. DLCB learned 5 songs for us which brought the house down. And I’m confident that for the rest of our lives we’ll never forget the feeling of screaming the lyrics to All These Things That I’ve Done with hundreds of our closest friends as we slowly ascended from the ground during the bridge of the song.

What. A. Night. My wife and I can’t thank each and every one of the members of DLCB for the energy and passion they brought to our most special night of our lives. My father-in-law even thanked each of them by first name during his Father-Of-The-Bride speech because of how badass this group is. Seriously. Five months later we still have people telling us that was the greatest band they’ve ever heard at a wedding and won’t forget that party. DLCB, we salute you.

Best Wedding Band Ever!

In a word... Phenomenal

As a wedding band, there are none better than the Dexter Lake Club Band. Their energy, song selection, cooperativeness, and overall talent are top notch. They take requests, but also seemingly create their set list on the fly based on the energy of the room. They read the energy of the room better than any wedding band I have seen, which creates a terrific atmosphere that crescendos at exactly the right time. They also played incredible acoustic music during our ceremony. All-in-all, an absolute fantastic performance.

They can play the oldies and modern songs, as well as a little bit of everything in between (my father-in-law is a DeadHead and they were able to play something for him) - and what they can't play they are willing to learn. Our friends and family still rave about their performance. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and were a huge part of why our wedding was so fun. If we had to do it all over again, I would move my wedding date to make sure they were available to play it.

Best Wedding Band Ever

Dexter Lake Club Band was recommended to us by our fabulous wedding planner, Arney Walker. We had never seen or heard them in person but we were assured they would be fabulous. Dexter Lake Club is the go-to wedding band for us!

Dexter Lake Club played for one daughter's wedding in 2014 and another daughter's wedding last month. Clearly we were satisfied the first time - and just as pleased this time. All genres, open to special requests, high energy, and . . . a delight to work with (which was especially important to me as the mother of the brides). Have one more daughter left to marry - and expect to be calling Jamie for her wedding as well!

The best wedding band in the tri-state

Dexter Lake Club band was everything we could have dreamed of in a wedding band. Working with Jamie was extremely helpful. He gave great advice on how to make the reception run smoothly and how to keep people on the dance floor the whole night. They did not disappoint, our guests cannot stop talking about how great they were. They really care about the quality of work that they put out and we could not be happier with our choice. They were a major part of a night we will never forget.

An amazing experience!! The absolute best!!!

I cannot say enough about dexter lake club band! From the very beginning Jamie was always so quick to respond to any question or concern I had. They learned a few songs that we wanted, and absolutely killed it! They have such a long list of songs that they can sing and every single song they sung was amazing. They really know how to keep a party going, and get everyone on the dance floor. Our friends and family are still raving about them! I would hands down recommend dexter lake club band to everyone!

We just had Dexter Lake perform at our wedding this past weekend, and were blown away by their whole performance! They kept everyone on the dance floor for hours, and did our ceremony and cocktail hour as well. Guests have been asking about them all week, and they were so professional and on top of everything, making the evening go seamlessly and even playing backup for one of our bridesmaids, who sang a song. They were absolutely fantastic and worth every penny if you are lucky enough to book them up early!

My husband and I got married on August 11, 2018 and were lucky enough to have the Dexter Lake Club Band play at our wedding in North Jersey. From the moment we booked the band until the day of the wedding, The Dexter Lake Club Band was professional, responsive, and extremely accommodating. They worked with us and our venue to make sure that the music at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were perfect. The songs that they learned for our first dances were flawless. The Dexter Lake Club band played their hearts out from the first note and they kept the dance floor full the entire night. All I wanted was a dance party and they most definitely delivered. They are all extremely talented musicians and they sounded AMAZING!!! They did an awesome job reading the crowd and playing what people wanted to hear. We are so glad that we chose the Dexter Lake Club band to play at our wedding. We have been getting rave reviews about the music from our guests. Dexter Lake is a MUST USE wedding vendor! We worked with them for our wedding in June 2018 and could not have been more thrilled. They are complete professionals - and keep the party going all night long. All of our guests were on the dance floor for three hours straight at our reception thanks to the genius song selection and up-beat music Jamie, Tim and the rest of DLCB featured. They also learned all of our first dance songs for our wedding, which made the evening that much more special!

During the planning process, they were responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in crafting the perfect reception sequencing to make our wedding as much fun as possible. They exceeded all expectations we had for our night - and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a 10/10 wedding band!

Once we found the folks at Dexter Lake Club Band, we had a feeling we wouldn't have to worry about the music at our wedding at all. They were so helpful, chill and accommodating during the planning process -- they put our minds at ease. We spoke to many other bands that were not as transparent about cost or were rigid in what they could do.

Whereas other bands were more like performers (for lack of a better word), Dexter Lake is a group of really impressive musicians whose natural love and enthusiasm for what they're playing is infectious. Everyone at our wedding was on their feet and jumping and dancing around the whole night, beginning to end! During our search, they stood out with their clear love for 60s/70s/80s rock (though they can play the new stuff too!), which was such a different and fun sound, and the guests (young and old) absolutely loved it.

They rolled with the many surprises that were thrown their way -- last-minute sound hookups for a slideshow, a Star Wars flash mob, and even having me on stage to sing at the end! They just worked with it and made it all run smoothly.

They're also just personally really nice people, giving us words of encouragement before the wedding, and chatting with the guests about whoknowswhat during cocktail hour.

I've already had about 30 people reach out to me after the wedding to either ask how to get in touch with them for their own wedding or event, or just to emphasize how amazing they were.

I can't recommend them enough!

Dexter Lake Club Band is so amazing that people leave the wedding and hire them for their wedding! I heard DLCB at my friends wedding and booked them for my wedding and it was amazing. People thought they were at a rock concert and never wanted it to end. My friend then left my wedding and booked DLCB for their wedding!!! I can't wait to hear DLCB again!!!

The Dexter Lake Club Band is AMAZING! They played our December 2017 wedding and are hands down the most fun and best sounding wedding band around. Our guests of all ages were on the dance floor from the first song, and they could not stop raving about how good the band was. We asked them to play 3 untraditional songs for our ceremony, and they sounded *exactly* like the version on Spotify we'd shared. We could not have been happier with the ceremony and reception music. On top of that, Jamie and Tim are lovely to work with and were 100% responsive during the planning process. Highly recommend this band!

We went to a lot of different showcases and watched a lot of videos online of different wedding bands, but just couldn't find the right combination of A+ musicianship and the right song changes.

The minute we saw Dexter Lake Club Bands showcase, that all changed. We immediately fell in love with their sound and their personalities, and we hired them the next day.

8 months later after our wedding, we could not have been happier with our decision. These guys absolutely CRUSHED it. They had the entire wedding dancing the entire night. They mixed in all the right songs without ever getting cheesy (like not playing SHOUT or Celebrate etc) but playing all songs everyone wanted to dance to all night.

Also we had a fire in the hotel the night before, and at 430am i emailed them asking them to change the intro song to "we didn't start the fire" which they did seamlessly even though it was not on their list.

Our wedding was perfect and a huge part of it was these guys. I keep watching the video just because i like hearing them play. I wish i had another event I was throwing so I could hire them again.

Booking the Dexter Lake Club Band to play our Brooklyn wedding was the single best party decision we made.

We knew we didn't want a standard wedding band and were really drawn to their song list. They were also willing to learn five new songs, which was more than most other bands offered. To say they nailed these songs would be an understatement. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but my husband and I prefer their performance of Champagne Supernova (our first dance, and one of the songs they learned) to Oasis's. And we were hesitant to request All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem because we thought it would be difficult to execute, but they played it for the last song of the reception, and brought. the. house. down. The most euphoric moments from our wedding (besides the ceremony itself) were on the dance floor, and we owe that in huge part to the Dexter Lake Club Band.

I also need to comment on their professionalism. From first correspondence, Jamie was responsive and accommodating -- we heard back within an hour of reaching out, and they were willing to work with us to stay within our budget -- and this made the whole process seamless (and fun).

I could not recommend them enough. Do yourself and your party a favor and book these guys.

Easily the highlight of our wedding. I've never had so much fun dancing. People had so much fun, danced SO hard and there was not a thing to complain about. I think their secret is their full team. They have a sound engineer which makes them able to adapt to any environment, they learn songs and they rehearse and do a sound check. I'd recommend DLCB in a heartbeat.

My husband and I have attended a ton of weddings over the past several years, and we have never experienced a band with such talent, energy, and ability to truly rock out and bring the whole room with them as the Dexter Lake Club Band. They exceeded in every way the high expectations I had for a leave-it-all-on-the floor dance party, so much so that we and our guests were downing glasses of water on the dance floor in the wee hours of Sunday morning to remain hydrated for our continued partying. This is not your standard wedding band experience. It's more like being at the most awesome rock concert in your own honor, with all your best friends. I will always remember and treasure the memories of how galvanized they made us, our family, and friends feel on the night of our wedding. In addition, Jamie was a total pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding - the height of professionalism, very down-to-earth, and with none of the pretension and fanfare that one sometimes encounters in this industry. We emphatically recommend them without reservation!

The Dexter Lake Club Band played my wedding in April and all of our guests left blown away by their performance. They are truly a proper rock and roll band that will not disappoint. My wife and I had looked at a few other wedding bands but as soon as we went to the Dexter Lake Club Band showcase we knew we had found the perfect fit. Working with Jamie and the whole band was incredibly easy and more importantly fun. They were extremely responsive and everything went very smoothly. If you and your guests are looking to throw a great party with everyone up and dancing the whole night then the Dexter Lake Club Band is the band for you.

The BEST BAND EVER! I cannot say enough awesome things about Dexter Lake Club Band. Jamie and the band were so great to work with throughout the months leading up to our wedding, and the music at our wedding was phenomenal! They learned a few songs for the wedding at our request, and when they played the new songs, we couldn't believe it was the first time they were playing them. They worked the crowd so well and knew which songs to play at the right times during the evening. DLCB definitely made our wedding, and people are still talking about the music from that night!

Choosing to work with the Dexter Lake Club Band was, without question, the easiest and best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. We first "met" the Dexter Lake Club Band at a friend's wedding a few summers ago on Cape Cod. At that point, we did not know when we would be getting married, or engaged for that matter, but after that night it was decided: if we were going to get married, the Dexter Lake Club Band was the one and only choice for our reception.

From our initial meeting(s) through the final wedding-week countdown, the band's professionalism, service, communication, responsiveness, flexibility and all in excitement to be a part of our wedding day was second to none. Jamie and Tim are a pleasure to work with, and, along with the band, delivered an all-out off the charts party. Since our wedding earlier this December, countless guests have commented to us about how incredible the band was, and what a fantastic set-list they chose to perform - people refused to leave the dance floor! They go with the flow and read the crowd better than any band we have experienced. Their genuine love of music and talent when compared to their peers shines from the opening song through the final encore.

AMAZING. Honestly, we had the highest of expectations for Dexter Lake. We loved their song lists, they were sheer delights to plan with, and we loved everything we heard on their website. To say that they exceeded our expectations and completely blew us away with their dynamism, energy, talent, professionalism, personality, emotional intelligence (i.e. ability to read the room), voices, sound quality, (etc.) is understatement of massive proportion. It has been a month since our wedding, and I am still receiving e-mails from friends commenting on how out-of-control-wonderful Dexter Lake was. We had our fair share of trained musicians, and music snobs at our wedding, and every single one of them was beyond impressed. My dad, who isn't one to wax hyperbolic, and played in a Rock 'n Roll band for many years, was heard over and over again telling guests: if you were looking for a band, your search is over...there could not be a better band. I would be remiss if I didn't share a few major highlights. Cocktail hour was a dream. This was a black-tie wedding and we were in a smallish room. The sound quality during cocktail hour was perfect, it matched the mood of the event, and kept spirits high. I kid you not, I have had friends specially compliment the song list during cocktail hour. This had NOTHING to do with me, and everything to do with how wonderful Dexter Lake is. They read the room, they are brilliant musicians, and they make people happy and feel festive. This next piece really blew my mind. I had envisioned this big "ta da" moment when we would open the doors to the main dining room, which were shut during cocktail hour. I thought I had thought through everything, but looking back, I never communicated to Dexter Lake that I was looking for this "ta da" moment...and yet, of course, they went above and beyond! They MADE that moment. I can't imagine a band better suited to ensuring your wedding is magical, joyful, COOL, chic, memorable and the most fun ever!

This band is incredible. If you love a good live band, these are your guys. They are legit rock stars. They are super cool. They are insanely talented, seamlessly tearing it up through Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, GNR, the list goes on. They are professional. Super quick with e-mail responses. Super friendly. The bass player (Jamie) met with me every time I wanted to chat about my vision for the evening. They even let me play a song with them. It was awesome. They had pretty much the entire room dancing all night. Without a doubt the most rockin' Hava Negilah I've ever heard. Total shredfest. I could go on and on about these guys. Bottom line is this. These guys ROCK. Most wedding bands range from a little tacky to incredibly tacky. This band is not tacky at all. These guys MADE our wedding ridiculous.

Booking Dexter Lake Club Band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Music is very important to us and our families, and one of our top goals for our wedding was having an awesome dance party. We had extremely high expectations and DLCB completely exceeded them in every way. They brought such a fun energy to our 300-person, black-tie, evening wedding and made it exactly the party we were hoping for. So many of our guests - of all ages - have raved about the fact that everyone was on the dance floor from the very first moment to the last song. The band made it so much fun for everyone in the room, most especially us (as evidenced by the groom's completely soaked tuxedo shirt at the end of the night). They even learned two songs by one of my favorite artists (not on their usual set list) and played them as a surprise!!

Two members of the band also played an acoustic set at our after party, which was an amazing way to end the night. They took requests and even allowed a few of our musician guest to sing on a few songs!

Jamie was great to work with and handled all of our requests/questions quickly. Our wedding was out of town (in DC) and it was no problem at all.

We cannot recommend Dexter Lake Club Band enough!!

Working with Dexter Lake was one of the best decisions that I made in planning my wedding. They were incredibly responsive throughout the entire planning process, answering all questions within a few hours (an amazing feat for any vendor). They were also incredibly easy to work with and go above and beyond for their clients - for example, they voluntarily play music throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour, and will learn new songs for your first dance/father daughter dance, etc. Even more importantly, they are FANTASTIC musicians. All our guests can't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the band, and family members - young and old- danced the entire night. If you're looking for a really unique and special experience at your wedding, book Dexter Lake! You won't regret it.

I recently got married at a venue in New Jersey and can easily say Dexter Lake Club Band was the best part of our reception. They were not only extremely friendly and accommodating, but are SUPER talented. We had almost every one of our 208 guests on the dance floor for the entirety of the night. They went above and beyond to learn requested songs, and played everything we had asked for. I simply cannot say good enough things about this group of guys and feel truly lucky that they were part of my special day. Absolutely the best!!!!

Booking the Dexter Lake Street Club Band was the best wedding decision we made - they completely made the party and did an amazing job. I can't tell you how many of our guests came up to us to tell us how much they loved the band. People said that it was the best wedding band they had ever seen. In many ways, they are not a "wedding band" - they are a bunch of friends having fun playing great covers, and that really shows. We didn't want a typical wedding band, but rather a "rock concert" feel, and that is exactly what it was. They were really easy to work with and were easy to go with the flow of the event as it started, even though the timing ended up a little different form what I had told them. Jamie was available to answer questions as we went, and met with us beforehand to go over some details. We had our ceremony at a different location from the venue (all the the same neighborhood) and we had a few of them play acoustically for the ceremony at no extra cost.

They were also really accommodating with letting my sister sing a song with them, (they had her come rehearse during sound check), and then even having her jump in on other songs throughout the night. You can't go wrong if you choose these guys.

I really can't imagine a better option than DLCB. My wife and I wanted a band that would make our wedding feel sincere and unclichéd while making sure everyone had a great time on the dance floor-- that's exactly what DLCB was. They are super talented, versatile, musicians and really fun performers. All of our guests were floored by how good they were. Not only is their music awesome, they are a great group of professional, nice guys. They traveled far, arrived on time, and needed very little assistance from us, which was really helpful on the day of our wedding. During the planning process they were very responsive and had great suggestions/input when we asked for it. Can't recommend them enough to anyone looking to make their wedding a memorable and special event for everyone there.

One other note: we thought they sounded awesome in their videos and that's why we chose them, but then they exceeded our expectations and sounded even better in person.

Choosing DLCB to play at our wedding was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From the outset, they are so professional, easy to work with and accommodating. We had a 30 minute set of ethnic music that was being played from an ipod and they were happy to play DJ for that part! They even learned a few songs that were special to us that weren't on their long list. They were wonderful at reading the crowd and keeping everyone dancing all night long. Our guests are still reaching out to us with complements on how good DLCB was!! Do not hesitate to book DLCB for your wedding or event! :)

Music has always been important to me and my partner. Music can also make or break a wedding reception. I was lucky that my mom found and booked DLCB. They have rave reviews and have played at the weddings of Olivia Wilde and Amanda Peat (so I guess that means they played for the Game of thrones show runner as well?). Jamie was very responsive to e-mail and they did a great job learning my special requests. The played acoustic versions of songs I requested during the ceremony. They also played a Joy Division cover with my brother's band which was very special for my family to experience. DLCB were great at reading the crowd and all night I got tons of compliments on the band. If you hate wedding DJs that play garbage like the YMCA or the cha cha slide are considering a live band, this is the band you want to book. I hope someone I know books them so I can go to another wedding where I'm not the bride and have more time to dance!

One of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process was hiring Dexter Lake. Acoustic guitar during the ceremony was beautiful. The reception started with a rocking version of the Hava Nagila, and the band kept the energy high all night with awesome 80s and classic rock songs. They also did an amazing job with our special request songs. I loved every single song and never wanted to leave the dance floor! Our guests are still talking about how amazing the band was and how they have never danced so much at a wedding! My dad was a huge fan - I don't think I've ever seen him have so much fun. We loved everything about our wedding and had absolutely the best night, and the band was a standout highlight of the evening. The guys were super nice and easy to work with - if you want to dance all night to awesome music, I recommend them without hesitation. I hope we can hear them again at another wedding in the future!!

Dexter Lake Club Band played, or should I say rocked, our wedding on 10/10/15 in Philly. We'd enjoyed their amazingness at a friend's wedding a few years back, and booking them was literally the first thing we did after getting engaged. What we remembered was how great of a time we had at that wedding - not all the details - just the feeling. And we knew we had to go for it ourselves. From there, Jamie and the band were a gift to work with. We even had to switch our wedding date due to the Pope's visit, and they were super accommodating. Once we started ramping up planning into full-swing, Jamie was always accessible and open-minded, from picking our set-list to learning some new songs for the ceremony and the reception. I'll make a point to say now that music is one of the most important parts of our relationship as a couple. My wife and I met through music, it continues to be central to our lives, as it is for many of our closest friends. Getting to it - for a group of people that have high standards for tunes, go to many-a-concert, and generally appreciate the nuances and talent it takes to perform, Dexter Lake nailed it. They were more epic than we'd remembered them being, or imagined they would be. It was a true party. A rocking, whaling, dance fest that everyone from old folks, to young folks, to young folks with old souls will never forget and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for bringing that heat!

My husband and I are big believers in the idea that the music MAKES the wedding and Dexter Lake Club Band MADE OUR WEDDING. Not so humble brag - our guests still say, a year later, that our wedding was the best they've been to, and we're 100% sure that is because of this band. They put on an epic show and have the ability to keep the dance floor going all night long. They killed it. I would follow them on tour. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM. THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!

Dexter Lake Club Band played at my wedding on September 19th in Lake Forest, IL. They were absolutely incredible. Not only were they super easy to work with since the moment we first contacted them (extremely responsive, so helpful with our song requests and so flexible in terms of cutting our songs down to make them the right lengths), but they also MADE our wedding reception one of the most fun parties ever. They are so much fun and know how to get the crowd going. Not to mention, they play the best music that ALL age groups can enjoy - from the young to the old. They let my sister (and me) join them on stage for "Don't Stop Believing" - which was such a special moment. And they played a song for my dance with my dad that is extremely personal to us and made it the best version we could have asked for. At the end of they night, everyone was so sad when they had to stop playing. We all started cheering for "one more song" - just like you would hear at an actual concert. They actually gave us a few more songs - the most fun songs of the evening. The wedding would not have been the same without them and my family is still receiving comments from our guests about how incredible they were. Truly the best wedding bang out there. The Dexter Lake Club Band was absolutely amazing! We are still hearing from our guests how much they enjoyed the music at our wedding. The band was tight, energetic and kept our guests on the dance floor all night. Their song list spanned the 50's to the present day, making sure that all of our guests had a great time. Most importantly, and I cannot stress this enough, they did this all and kept it classy. We were very turned off by a lot of the antics we saw from wedding bands (a la bar mitzvah), and DLCB was the exact opposite of that. Jamie was extremely professional, friendly, and prompt in getting back to us about the plans. My dad and I each got up to sing one song with them, and they were extremely accommodating and helpful. They even learned a few new ones for us, making sure we got to dance to weezer and third eye blind at our wedding. 90s childhood dream: accomplished. Lastly, it made life so much easier that they did everything from the ceremony, cocktail hour, through to the end of the party, all included in one package price. Not having to pick and choose from a menu of items made everything much simpler and cohesive. Highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!

There are no words to accurately describe how amazing this band is! They are hands-down the best wedding band ever! Hiring Dexter Lake for our August 2015 wedding reception was the best decision we could have ever made. They were perfection. My husband and I really wanted to throw a great party for our friends and family and create more of a concert-type feel than the typical wedding band creates. We also wanted music that would span the age groups and bring everyone onto the dance floor. Dexter Lake did exactly that! Their playlist was nothing short of amazing and they had us and our guests out of breath on the dance floor. They spent the time to learn several songs that were a big hit with our crowd and also focused on the songs from their playlist that would keep our guests going! Jamie was a pleasure to deal with on all the logistics and was always professional and genuine. The band was extremely flexible with any changes leading up to the big day and on the day of, the band did an amazing job "directing" the reception, keeping things on schedule and maintaining the flow of the evening. We could not have asked for a better band to help us celebrate our wedding. Everyone from our guests to other wedding vendors keep telling us that Dexter was the best wedding band they had ever heard! We couldn't agree more. Many of our engaged friends have asked for the band's information and we are crossing our fingers that we get to hear this band again soon! The Dexter Lake Club Band provided us with a wonderful evening of music! Dexter Lake Club Band can only be described as the very best! They were central to making our night the amazing and memorable event that it was. The music at our wedding was the most important aspect of planning to my husband and I. We wanted a band that was versatile, fun and authentic. Dexter Lake is all of these things and much more. First, they are incredibly talented musicians who filled the room with music that almost everyone remarked was some of the best they had ever heard. Second, they are fun and helpful guys who made working with them a highlight of our entire wedding planning process. From our first meeting with Jamie onward, Dexter Lake understood everything that we wanted with little explanation needed from us. Jamie offered great suggestions for music and also encouraged us to send him numerous ideas. We were invigorated and comforted by the fact that we knew the music at our wedding would be cool, original and reflective of who we are. Our already high expectations were blown away on the night of the wedding! From the first song on, our dance floor was packed and lively. The music made everyone from my four-year-old niece to our friends to our grandparents, feel festive and joyful. Nearly everyone commented that they had never heard a band like Dexter Lake at a party before. In addition to their ability to choose and play a constant lineup of perfect music, what struck us about Dexter Lake was their versatility. They played the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and DJ’ed at our after party. Each style that they performed created the perfect mood. At the end of the reception the extremely talented Tim allowed Jason (the groom) to get up on stage and sing a song, which literally made his dreams come true. All in all working with Dexter Lake could not have been a better experience. They are extremely talented, easy-going and fun! They made our party memorable from beginning to end and we are so grateful!

The Dexter Lake Club Band played at our May 2015 wedding in Brooklyn. They ROCKED! Everyone loved them, and it was a packed dance floor all night long. They are truly talented musicians, played an awesome and eclectic song list, and did a really nice job reading the audience and keeping the energy level high. Countless guests of all ages complimented them as a one of the best bands they’d ever heard and wanted to book them for upcoming events. They are not a typical wedding band…They look great on stage and bring a cool, Brooklyn vibe that makes the event feel like you’re partying at a rock concert. DLCB were also very easy to work with leading up to the wedding –they were professional, organized, and flexible as we prepared for the big day. We would HIGHLY recommend this band for any event. This is a great group of guys (and one fantastic female vocalist as well) who played a huge role in making our wedding the non-stop dance party we wanted it to be. Can’t thank them enough!

We had them perform May 9th for our wedding reception in Delaware. It was a completely mixed crowd including children and older adults and from all over the world geographically including India, Ireland and Japan. Everyone was dancing from the first song to the last!! It was amazing!

During the process, they were completely on board with our song requests and even allowed me up to the stage to sit on the bass! The Dexter Lake Club Band ROCKS! They are great musicians with excellent chemistry and stage presence...
If you are looking for a nice bunch of guys and want outstanding musicians, then they are the band to book.

Hiring DLCB to play your wedding is the easiest and best wedding-related decision you can make. These guys rock like no other wedding band you've ever heard, and have a great catalogue of old and new tunes that create a great atmosphere and, most importantly, get everyone up and dancing. I got married a few months back and pretty much everyone I talk to about the wedding mentions how much they loved the band and how the music felt more like being at a rock show then listening to a stale wedding band. Many have even asked if they play around NYC, because they wanted to check out a non-wedding show. Also, the guys in the band are great to work with and Jamie is on the ball and very good about helping with planning, answering questions, etc. Go to their studio space and check them out; you'll be immediately sold. If music is an important part of your wedding, go with Dexter Lake, you'll be very happy. Thanks again DLCB!

If you are in the market for a band, then booking these guys is an absolute must! My father always says good food, good booze and good music make a party! Well the Dexter Lake Club Band delivered more than good music; they delivered an outstanding performance.

My father wanted the Dexter Lake Club Band to play at my wedding since he first read an article about them before I was even close to being engaged. Well needless to say he got his way and I am glad! The band played my New Year’s Eve wedding and they were amazing. Everyone had nothing but good things to say and we received many compliments from guests on them. They played our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Everyone, from the 2 year old (who scored drum sticks at the end of the night) to the oldest in the crowd, was on the floor dancing and singing. They have an amazing range of music to please every discerning music lover and they never missed a beat.

Jamie was an absolute pleasure to deal with pre-wedding. He was quick to respond and steered us in the right direction with music choices.

I am not sure what else to say about these guys, other than they are an absolute must for any wedding!

We cannot thank them enough for the outstanding performance and amazing memories they helped us make!

Before I was even engaged I knew this was the wedding band I'd hire. They are fantastic. EVERYONE will be dancing the entire time which makes for long-lasting, happy memories. They even learned a few special songs for us.

The first thing we booked for our wedding was DLCB. We wanted to hire them immediately after watching their videos on their website, which was further confirmed after going to a showcase of theirs. DLCB is simply amazing - not only do they put on a fantastic show and concert, they are down-to-earth, fun, easy and stress-free to work with, and wonderful emcees too. They are truly talented musicians and singers who know how to get everyone up and dancing. We are still riding the high of our wedding, much of it, thanks to DLCB.

I cannot say enough about how completely awesome Dexter Lake Club Band is. They were, hands down, one of the absolute best things about our wedding (which was pretty darn fun and fabulous).

I first heard DLCB play at my older brother's wedding, and they rocked. Though it was a couple years before I would get engaged, in the back of my mind I always hoped they could play whenever I did get married. (And no, I was not one of those chicks that had the whole thing planned since I was six!)

Working with Jamie and the rest of the guys was super easy and a real pleasure. They somehow manage to pull off being total rock stars and totally normal dads. We planned the acoustic ceremony music together (very mellow and romantic songs by Pearl Jam, Cat Stevens, Elvis) and our first dance to a hybrid version of "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone and Muse was perfection.

Every single guest, ages 24 to 90-years-old, was on the dance floor the entire night. All the money we spent on dance tent décor was for naught, as the furniture got pushed aside to make room for more boogieing! If we ever renew our vows, I hope Dexter Lake Club Band will be there. I can't imagine a wedding without them.

The single most resounding comment heard during and after our wedding: "You had the most amazing band!" Other comments: "They're not a wedding band, they're a band band!," "I had to turn around while I was dancing to make sure it wasn't a recording of the actual song because it sounded so good!" "Those are some amazing musicians!" "I'm in love with the female lead singer!"

We discovered Dexter Lake Club Band at my friend's wedding in Philadelphia where I did not stop dancing. All. Night. Long.

And I am very happy to say that I was able to have a repeat performance at my own wedding!

A band is a hefty investment -- in fact, my husband was leery of spending that much money on a single vendor for our wedding and gave me a hard time about it. At the wedding, he uttered the little words every spouse loves to hear: "You were right." And "it was worth every penny."

It certainly was. It set the tone for the evening and everyone had an amazing time. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they picked up some new business from playing at our wedding...and, for our sake, we certainly do hope that it's the case we get to dance to them at another wedding soon!

I wish I could rate Dexter Lake Club Band above a 5/5 because they are so much better than that! They are so far BEYOND a "wedding band".

Before even going into the music, I have to say that the professionalism and responsiveness of the band, and in particularly, their manager Jamie who handles the contracts and communications, is incredible. We worked with so many vendors for our wedding and Jamie/Dexter Lake Club Band were always so quick to respond, reliable, accommodating, helpful etc. We knew from day 1 that we had absolutely nothing to worry about with this band. On the actual day of the wedding, they showed up on time (and by on time I mean early!), with all of their equipment, were completely respectful of all other vendors, were completely self-sufficient with their testing, etc etc. They could not have been more pleasant to work with in every way.

In terms of the music - wow. They nailed it on every song and our wedding would not have been nearly as fun without them rocking with us all night. The candids of people dancing are the best photos from our entire wedding because people are having the BEST time and it is so obvious. There were relatives my parents said they haven't seen dance EVER in 60 years who were on the dance floor. We constantly hear from people about how much they loved our wedding band. Dexter Lake does a huge variety of genres and decades - they can do it all. They learned our first dance song which was a special request and it was absolutely perfect.

DLCB is so awesome to work, so professional and such a great band. There is nothing cheesy or "wedding-bandy" about them. And that's why they rock!

Let me start with the fact that our wedding had a Welcome To The Jungle encore - yes DLCB was such a hit that our guests chanted 'encore' until they came back on stage.

If that is not enough, I can also tell you that the band is true professionals. From our first meeting up through our wedding, they were punctual, friendly, accommodating and incredible musicians. DLCB even went so far to learn new songs for our ceremony, 1st dance and mother/son dance.

Finally, every song they played was a hit with our guests. Every friend and relative knew every song and the dance floor was constantly packed.

I can not strongly recommend them enough!

It’s never easy to explain why some weddings are just so wonderful but I’ve found that once folks give a quick rundown of the concrete details—great venue, perfect décor, good food, toasts that weren’t too long or embarrassing, etc.—they try and express the more abstract qualities with adjectives such as “warm,” “spirited,” and “soulful,” which invariably fail to get to the heart of it all. My brother didn’t even bother to try and explain what made our wedding so special; he simply said that if there’s an afterlife, he hopes that it’s something like my wedding and “may we all die someday and get to re-experience it!” Amen.

Although the band typically falls into the first “vendor” category, everybody knows that it has everything to do with the spirit of the wedding, which is why it creates a lot of anxiety for couples in the planning process and we were no exception. Luckily, the Dexter Lake Club Band is beyond a “wedding band” or a “cover band”—it’s simply the seriously kickass band, period, that we hoped for. And working with them was so easy; they were responsive and responsible and made the all the planning and logistics as effortless as possible.

I don’t need to dwell on their playlist because it speaks for itself but I should add that everyone loved the music, including my parents who were positive that my husband and I had hired some hipster band that would only play obscure indie songs for the “young” people. They closed the party with one of our requests—LCD’s “All My Friends”—and it was so amazing. I sincerely hope they added this to their regular playlist!

To our complete amazement, all the details of our wedding came together and it really was perfect. But I don’t think my brother was thinking about the flowers or the cake or the escort cards when he modeled his ideal afterlife on our wedding. He was thinking of the love, the joy, and the dance floor.

We couldn't have asked for a better band to play at our wedding. We're particular about the music that we like to dance to; Jamie and the guys were responsive, patient, and flexible as we sifted countless times through their set list. They had great suggestions for good music to use during the ceremony and cocktail hour. And the dance floor was packed the entire time - and I do mean ENTIRE time. We got married locally and were a little nervous that people would leave after we cut the cake, but we literally had to kick people out at the end of the night! We're only sad that we can't get married again... but maybe we'll have another party one day to have the band back :)

Booking Dexter Lake Club Band was the best decision we made for our wedding. Jamie was wonderful to work with throughout the process. He was very responsive, professional, and flexible. The band learned a few new songs for us that were not already in their extensive repertoire. They were an extremely good value for the price and kept our guests on the dance floor all night long. Our friends and family can't stop raving about the band. Jamie, Tim, and all the DLCB members made our night unforgettable and really completed our New York wedding experience.

As mother of the bride I couldn't have been happier with The Dexter Lake Club Band. They provided acoustic guitar for the ceremony that was beautiful and romantic, but the reception literally rocked! Everyone was dancing, and as one guest said, 'This started out as a party and ended as a concert' The whole crowd was singing with the band while they were dancing by the end of the night. My daughter was thrilled.

If you want every single person at your wedding to get on the dance floor and stay there, hire Dexter Lake. They made our wedding, and every person from 15 to 93 was dancing, most of them from the moment Dexter Lake started playing to the end of the wedding. They are not cheap by a long shot, but I will say that they are really worth it. You can skimp on flowers or even on food, but so long as your band is this good, all your guests will think your wedding was amazing. They mostly play 60s through 80s music, so don't expect top 40s, but they rock out and have incredible energy. Our wedding was a serious dance party, and both the younger and older generations couldn't stop dancing. Dexter Lake was also incredibly responsive and super helpful with planning the schedule of our wedding. They told us how long the ideal dance set was, helped weed out some music my husband loves but that they said would bring the energy down, and even gave us advice on the best time to serve dessert. They also learn 5 songs of your choosing, and they did the most incredible job, especially with our first dance song. They are also very flexible, and they worked with one of my bridesmaids, who sang the father-daughter song. Above all, they made the floor shake, people were dancing so much. Literally every guest I've spoken to since our wedding has said that the band made the evening. I couldn't agree more.

Music was top priority for me and my husband. When we read about DLCB, we knew we found the right band for our wedding. This band is AMAZING! The guys in the band are so fun and cool. Simply the best. Dexter Lake Club Band will MAKE your wedding memorable. People are still raving about rocking out harder than at a concert.
