  Best. Cake. Ever.

  We probably tried ever flavor of cake that they make and finally settled on a combination of strawberry and vanilla. Our guests loved it and kept asking where we got the cake made. We couldn't be happier.

  We absolutely loved how the wedding cake and grooms cake turned out and the flavors were amazing. Leland was great to work with. The Hallelujah Cake flavor was amazing!

  Leland and her staff serve up a littlw piece of heaven on a dessert plate. Cakes by Leland provided the cake for our daughter's recent wedding , WOW!!! It was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked! Every layer was a different flavor. I generally don't eat wedding cake because it's pretty to look at but not worth the calories for something tbat is average tasting. It was so delicious I had two pieces. The first piece wss lemon and it was light and lucious. I overheard some guests raving about the pound cake layer with chocolate in the middle so i got a piece of that also, OH MY GOSH!!!!! Devine. Graystone Quarry sent a large piece home for my husband and me and I ate tbe whole thing. I did not share.

  Amazing! I cannot express how happy we were with both cakes. Guests are still talking about how great they cake was. We knew we wanted Dessert Design to do our wedding cake after the beautiful cake they did for our daughters 1st birthday. I won't go anywhere else for cakes, cookies and other baked goods.

  The gluten free chocolate truffle cake was one of the highlights of our wedding. I'm serious! I'm jealous of a cake :-) And they're super nice and efficient, too, more than any of the other cake makers we were in touch with. Sadly we don't live in Nashville, but it would be worth moving there just to be closer to Dessert Designs (every weekend, ideally). Thank you a million for your amazing work, it really made our day.

  Our wedding cake was DELICIOUS. We had the cream cheese pound cake, and everyone loved it. All of her cakes were incredibly yummy.

  Leland Riggan is a genius. Her cake is by far the best I have had in my life and made my wedding so much more fabulous. Her chocolate truffle cake is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. She is reasonably priced, professional and the quality of her cakes are out of this world. I don't know why a bride in Nashville would even think of using anyone else.

  There are no cakes better than Leland's. They are in a class by themselves. I can tell immediately if a cake at a wielding was made by Dessert Designs. They did our wedding cake and groom's cake. Beautiful and the taste and texture are beyond fabulous. We made sure to take remainders home and froze some. There's no point in tasting other local vendors' cakes.

In general, I don't care for cake all that much, but I could not get enough of our Dessert Designs cake! The cake is moist and the icings are just the right amount of sweet (you don't feel like you're eating a spoonful of straight sugar). Our wedding guests were thrilled and kept telling us how yummy it was! Leland was wonderful to work with - I will definitely work with her again for future cakes!

  Stop looking for a baker because you will not do better than Leland Riggins. Her cakes are the most delicious you will ever eat. I've had multiple people comment that our wedding cake was the best they have ever have!

Wedding cake has never really stood out to me at weddings I've been to in the past.. I didn't really think there would be a big difference between cakes. We met with a few vendors, and we thought we had found one we were going to use - decent price, decent cake. But then we had our tasting at Dessert Designs and suddenly price didn't matter anymore - not even for my dad. We ended up getting a cake with 4 tiers, each tier was a different flavor. I can't tell you how many compliments we received - it's all anyone would talk about! So happy with our choice! We ended up having enough left over that the top tier wasn't touched, so we were going to stick with tradition and freeze it.   Lealand was such a pleasure to work with! She was kind enough to do two different tastings for us (my now husband wasn't able to attend the first one), and we had both a traditional wedding cake and a grooms cake. Both were so beautiful AND delicious, and received so many compliments on how good they both were!

  Leland Riggins, owner of Dessert Designs, has made absolutely beautiful and delicious wedding cakes in Nashville for years. At any wedding reception where the cake was so delicious that I asked who made it, the answer was Dessert Designs. So, when my daughter got engaged, we knew right away that we wanted to use Leland Riggins for her wedding cake. Leland created a beautiful wedding cake and amazing grooms cake. There was not any cake left! If you want personal service, attention to detail, and absolutely delicious cake flavors, use Leland Riggins Dessert Designs.

  Dessert Designs created 2 fabulous cakes for our wedding---a wonderfully decadent truffle cake with a peanut butter stripe for my husband's groom's cake and a Grand Marnier cake with vanilla buttercream icing for our three tiered wedding cake. The tasting with Leland was so easy, and she knew from talking with us that our focus was on taste though we wanted a beautiful cake. She was able to be frank and honest with us about what things would work and was able to suggest things that we hadn't thought of. We had tasted her cakes at many weddings before ours, and our experience could not have been more delightful--just like her cakes!

It was important to me that the cake was beautiful but also tasty - and all of my guests couldn't stop commenting on how the cake fulfilled both those qualities! They even did a custom design on one of the layers that matched the lace on my dress. And it couldn't have been more accurate! Use Dessert Designs if you want a beautiful AND tasty cake!
