Amazing experience

What can I say. Diane is exceptional. I had actually picked a dress from another shop but then on my second fitting, I didn’t like it anymore. So I had to look for another one and based on The Knot’s best of, Diane D’Angelo Bridal is the place to be. So there I went, 2 months before my wedding, I went to D’Angelo’s and from the moment I stepped in, I knew I was going to find “the one” here. I was first impressed with how the bridal salon looked. It looks so sleek and stylish. And then I was warmly welcomed by Elizabeth and then finally the owner, Diane. Then when I started to look at all their collection, I was just wowed. It was everything I’ve hoped for! They gave me suggestions on the style that would look good on me. And after an hour, I finally found the one. Because I had the experience from another bridal salon, I could easily say that their service is just topnotch compared to everyone else. The alterations appointments all went smoothly and Diane even asked on my availability and was very flexible with the times. The day finally came when I had to pick my dress up and I was surprised that Diane herself actually walked me to my car and put my dress in the trunk. From there you can really tell that they have exceptional service and they care so much about you and your dress. Thank you so much Diane, Elizabeth and team! You guys are amazing and I can’t wait to show you some amazing photos from the wedding!

Overall WONDERFUL experience. I wasn’t expecting to find my dress on the first visit – but I did!

The store has a huge selection – which can be very intimidating, however they made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision. I was very specific on what I wanted and Diane and her team were so sweet and patient throughout the entire process. They were very attentive and took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted in a dress. I never felt pressured and honestly felt like they really cared that I found “the one” and looked my very best. All of their styles they had chosen for me and shown me were beautiful and really fit my body type. The dress I ended up choosing, was the second dress I tried on. The material was gorgeous and fit like a glove. Easy to move and dance all night in.

The girls at D’Angelo Couture truly go above and beyond. I highly recommend to anyone looking for their dream dress and all things bridal. Don’t go anywhere else!

This is the only place you should go to look for your dress. You will fall in love with Diane's dresses because she has the best quality and prices. She listened to what I wanted and made sure everything from my dress to my veil was perfect months before I walked down the aisle. What I was most impressed with was how she (yes, Diane not another staff member or outside seamstress) made sure the dress was tailored properly and fit my body. Her staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and experienced so much so that they actually suggested trying on the wedding dress I ended up picking and otherwise never would have tried on. This isn't just a business to Diane it's a passion and when you buy one of her dresses you realize you become part of her extended family. Don't go to a big corporate bridal store and have a dress shipped in that won't ever fit correctly and is made poorly. Diane will make sure you are taken care of and best of all look beautiful.

Diane is amazing! She absolutely knows her stuff and is confident in what she does. She typically designs custom gowns, so originally I had planned to have her make mine but I accidentally found a dress I loved so instead I wanted her to do alterations since I already trusted her. She also made custom jewelry for my maid of honor when she got married in 2009 and did a great job. When altering my dress, she paid great attention to detail and wouldn't quit until the dress fit perfectly. I also couldn't believe how reasonable her prices were! I highly recommend her!

Diane is the absolute best!! I cannot recommend this bridal salon highly enough! I ended up finding the perfect dress on my first visit and bought it that very same day!! Once I had on the dress and mentioned a couple alterations I would prefer, Diane, the owner of the salon, assured me that she could do the alterations easily, quickly, for considerably less than most, and even suggested some really unique and great ideas! I trusted her instantly and I am glad I did. She completed all of my alterations within a couple months and the dress is absolutely perfect, I cannot wait to wear it on my big day! As if the dress alone was not enough, she also altered my mothers veil to perfection, AND she designs her own hair pieces (I honestly feel as if she designed the one specifically for me because it is so perfect)!! She made this whole process entirely too easy :) Again, I simply cannot recommend Diane and D'Angelo Couture highly enough, she is amazing.

Diane did a great job helping me create the perfect Wedding dress. She helped me transform my mother's 30 year old wedding dress into a new, sleek, beautiful dress. I had an idea of what I wanted and Diane encouraged my thoughts and worked with me to achieve the image I had in mind. Every visit was so much fun with my bridal party, friends and mother. Diane kept the atmosphere positive, non-stressful and organized. I couldn't have asked for a better dress. The price was also amazing! I told her what I was willing to spend and she agreed to my range immediately. She also helped me find the perfect veil for one heck of a price! I cannot wait until the big day when I get to show off this masterpiece. Diane you are a genius! My family and I all want to thank you!

Diane is amazing! I had a vision of the dress I wanted and looked everywhere for it, unsuccessfully. I found my way to D'Angelo and they didn't have it either. However, Diane, with her awesome creative talent was able to customize a dress that was exactly what I wanted! The end result was amazing and I received so many compliments on my dress. We also got my daughter's dress, mother's dress and father's suit from D'Angelo. Highly recommended!

I walked into D'Angelo Couture back in January to find a dress for my wedding on June 19. Although we didn't have an appointment, Christina was very welcoming. She showed us to a room and asked if we minded if she helped another soon to be bride as well. I asked her honest opinion and she was great! I found a dress off the rack and within an hour into my first day of searching I said "Yes to the Dress!" Thank you, Christina and D'Angelo for being a part of my special day!

This store is an absolute must!!! Even if you don't end up buying your dress here, YOU MUST AT LEAST GO TO THE STORE. I came here 3 weeks before my wedding because my first wedding dress was a disaster. Diane and her ladies are miracle workers!!! They had me try on a dress that I normally wouldn't have chosen. When I tried it on I FINALLY had that perfect moment that every bride should feel when she has found her perfect dress. The dress they recommended for me fit like a glove. It showed my body off exactly how I wanted and I looked and felt beautiful! It was truly a dream come true. Their dresses are gorgeous and HIGHLY recommend brides at least stop to visit Diane. She truly is talented and has an eye for the style dress that will look best on ANY shape or size!!

I had a great experience with D'Angelo. Megan helped me pick the dresses I want to try on and the 3rd one was the one! I went in for two fitting and alteration sessions. Diane is an artist and super creative when it comes to designing and alterations. She was very patient with me and changed my dress into exactly what I wanted.

I called her just two days before my wedding in a bit of an emergency to fix my daughters flower girl dress. She fit us in and was very professional and accommodating. Her craftsmanship to the work she has done for us is exceptional. She even added extra pink flowers to my daughters very white dress to bring in some color. Her recommendations are given with thought and not with any purpose to up-sell. In fact, her prices are very reasonable for the quality. You get what you pay for, and this bridal boutique certainly is that and more. While I have no reason to buy another wedding dress, I will certainly return to this establishment for other evening gowns and dresses. Thank you Diane and staff for making this experience so wonderful for me!

It is difficult to describe the incredible service D'Angelo gave me. My story is below. I will try to CAPS the really important parts.

I called day of to make an appointment. My engagement is short and I needed to pick a dress stat. THEY MADE NO HASSLE ABOUT ACCOMMODATING ME, SAME DAY.

GISSELLE was the lovely lady who helped me look at dresses. I had been to other bridal salons who didn't help with putting the dresses on, which Gisselle did with out making it awkward :) She started with a little chat about my wedding and SHE LISTENED TO EVERY WORD AND EVERY DETAIL of what I was looking for, and knew EXACTLY which dresses to pick for me. She even LET ME WALK with her to look for the dresses so I could tell her what I liked/disliked about the dresses on the hangers. That was something other bridal salons didn't do. They just gave me generic dresses that were nothing like what I wanted. She even found dresses that I loved in my size (other salons gave me dresses 2 sizes too big and too small, inconsistently). Gisselle read me like a book. I put on one of the dresses and she didn't even button it all the way. She just said, "you don't like it" and she was very right about that. She saw the dresses from my perspective.

The great thing about these dresses is they can be made to be what ever you want. My dress is a blank canvas: ivory silk, A-line, cathedral train, and buttons down the back, nothing else. That left me so much space to do what ever I want. Again, Gisselle knew exactly what to do to jazz up my dress the perfect amount for my taste. Probably one of my favorite parts of this experience was having Diane come to my session. She walked over, looked at me in the dress, grabbed a veil (that I bought) and jewelry. She put her professional touches on my personal dress. I looked spectacular in a dress that is totally my style.

THEY COMPLETELY STAYED IN MY BUDGET. I GAVE THEM A NUMBER, AND IT WAS RESPECTED.

I can't say enough about Diane! Her designs are beautiful, unique and affordable, but she gave me so much more than the perfect dress. I was 6 months pregnant at my wedding and while I am so incredibly excited to welcome my daughter to the world, the maternity wedding dress was not the dream. Diane tweaked and created solutions that made me feel so beautiful. My wedding was truly the best day of my life and I had so many comments about how amazing i looked and how incredible my dress was. This was the ideal bridal venue. Having only been to three weddings in my life and only apart of one bridal party ever, I was completely unsure of how to choose or shop for a dress. Not only was D'Angelo helpful, they had the largest supply of unique, quality dresses for reasonable prices. Cynthia Baker, the seamstress was also very accommodating and literally turned a dress off the rack into a one-of-a-kind, figure-fitting wedding gown for me. I also purchased my unique headpiece, two sets of earrings and bracelet for my special day from D'Angelo. It literally was a one-stop-shop for high-quality bridal couture.

I've been trying to find a vendor who can make me a custom birdcage veil, since making my own and buying them in stores have not been too successful. I first spoke with Evona who was extremely attentive to my needs. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable, and was open to any questions that I might have about my look. By the time I arrived, she had envisioned accessories to my simple dress and told me how special and unique it looked, which in return is going to make my wedding day special. I was seriously going to do a DIY project that would have gone totally wrong, but thanks to Diane and Evona, I now have a dream wedding. Now let's talk about the amazing woman who made my custom birdcage veil in less than 20 minutes. Her name is Diane, and she made me feel like the most important bride in the world. I cannot express how much I needed her support and her input. Not only was she very down to earth and made me feel at ease, her staff were all just amazing people. They were all supportive and extremely passionate about fashion. Diane had so many appointments and deadlines, and she didn't make me feel rushed or question my fashion choices with my wedding dress and accessories. I wanted a vintage feel with a 1920's hairdo and a 1950's, simple, white tea length dress. Wow... I could not stop taking photos of the birdcage veil she made me. Evona then accessorized it with a rhinestone plumeria, which was absolutely perfect for my Hawaii wedding. Then, there was a beautiful rhinestone belt that Evona envisioned. That just sold me, and it also allowed me to come to the realization that this is really happening. I'm a bride:D Diane and her staff at D'Angelo Couture made me feel like a bride instead of a girl in a pretty dress. I can't thank Diane and her staff enough for how they made me feel on my wedding day.

Diane altered my wedding dress and I was completely stunned at how beautiful it turned out! I brought in a sleeveless and backless dress and needed her to add sleeves and create a back for the dress. Diane found a material that was identical to that of my dress and designed the back and sleeves exactly how I wanted them!! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dress to buy or be altered! She is amazing and can work wonders!!!

D'Angelo has moved to a larger location and the new space is incredible. Filled with gowns & accessories it's a one stop shop for your bridal party. I'd already purchased my dress by the time the new space had opened but I came here looking for a veil/headpiece. Diane made THE perfect custom veil for me! She fitted the cage veil around my face and the feather, silk flower, and pearl headpiece was removable so I could take the actual veil part off after the ceremony. It was gorgeous! She and her staff treated me like family and I couldn't recommend a better place to find your dress & accessories. I received so many compliments on it! Thanks Diane!

I am SO GLAD I got my dress here. It was AMAZING and I received so many compliments on it. It looked so much more expensive than what I paid for it. All the people that work there were really helpful and friendly. The seamstress that altered my dress did such an outstanding job, my dress fit like a glove and looked like it was made for me. If you want a high quality dress for a decent price.. You should check out D'Angelo Couture! :)

D'Angelo's was the first out of two places that I visited to start my dress shopping and I'm so happy I put them at the top of my list. Laura was beyond amazing! She was very attentive to what I liked, made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and found me the perfect dress! The second dress she put me in was the winner. I am sooo pleased I found this store! I really wanted to wear my mother's veil (made by my grandmother) but needed to have it dyed to an ivory color to match my dress. Also, my mother's veil included a wide lace headband-style headpiece which I wanted removed and refashioned into a cuff bracelet. I met with the store owner, Diane, and we worked up some sketch concepts. She worked her magic and I was beyond thrilled with the results! Everything turned out better than I could have imagined and it truly meant the world to have such priceless pieces included.

I am so thankful I found D'angelo Couture at the Bridal Bazaar! They are a small full service bridal shop with beautiful dresses and accessories and very talented staff that are great to work with. Their prices are also competitive and the service they offer is unparalleled. Diane (owner and namesake of the shop) also does design and travels often to shows to stay on top of the latest fashion trends. Diane and Cynthia are amazing seamstresses and very creative with adding unique finishing touches to gowns to make them exactly what you envision! My grandmother was also a seamstress and I had some vintage lace scraps from a gown she made when I was younger. I wanted to incorporate them into a sort of empire waist sash to sew on my wedding dress. Diane did an amazing job painstakingly piecing the lace together and finishing the edges to have enough to span the front of the dress. She also added just the right amount of vintage beads to perfectly complement and enhance but not overpower the lace. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined. It truly looked that the lace was part of the dress design and it had been made to go exactly there. Cynthia also did a fantastic job on the dress alterations and bustle. The dress fit absolutely perfect =) I can't recommend these ladies high enough and being the granddaughter of an extremely talented seamstress who sewed for New York society's elite and growing up helping in her shop, I am not easily impressed!

My daughter looked amazingly beautiful her gown we purchased at D'Angelo. Diane was fantastic to work with, made the bustle so atttractive, had a great selection of gowns to try. Prompt, efficient service and put my daughter totally at ease Was a pleasure to work with!

I live in Orange County but had heard rave reviews about D'Angelo Couture so one weekend, I made an appointment and met my mom and Matron of Honor (who both live in SD) at D'Angelos. After trying on several dresses, all which were gorgeous and crazy affordable, I found the one. It was elegant, it was striking and it was the dress for me! Dress looks like it could easily sell for over $50,000 but this girl bought it for $1,100! No joke. The dresses are of the finest quality and whereas David's Bridal sells all the same dresses for ridiculous prices, D'Angelos has strong ties to talented designers and is able to get every type of dress possible for each bride and makes it affordable. Diane, owner of D'Angelos is my saving grace! I also picked out a headband and earrings made by her and had my dress altered by Cynthia, who has been altering and working with D'Angelos for years. I drove down three times to SD for fittings and it was worth it! Cynthia is quick with fittings and works with your schedule. My experiences at D'Angelos were always great and even though there's tons of brides coming in and out, Diane always remembers you, no joke, she does. I recommend D'Angelos not just because of the wide and one-of-a-kind selection with prices so good you can't believe it's true but also because Diane is so sweet and genuine. She knows the stresses that come with being a bride and she takes it upon herself to make you feel comfortable, happy and ready for your big day.

Diane, the owner, is absolutely fabulous!! I saw them at the San Diego Bridal Bazaar and found my dream dress. The alterations were flawless and she is incredibly friendly! She doesn't try to seel you things you don;t need or can't afford. I found such a beautiful dress in my budget and would recommend anyone starting their own dress search!

They have the most beautiful selection of wedding dresses, but even better of attire! I bought everything here - including my jewelry and veil, and it all was of great quality and gorgeous looking. The owner is so lovely and a talented jewelry designer. Her pieces are so original. I live in Los Angeles but kept finding myself coming back down to D'Angelo's for everything once the dress had been purchased. I also saved HUNDREDS of dollars, even after calculating the gas to get to San Diego from Los Angeles.

After searching for 2 months for the perfect feather hair piece all over San Diego and Los Angeles, I fell in love with one at Here Comes the Bride (where I bought my dress), but the cost was $475 for the feather piece and the birdcage veil. I couldn't justify the expense, considering how much I had already paid for my dress there, so I looked around some more and came across D'Angelo Bridal. Oh.My.Gosh! When I went to D'Angelo I had a picture of the feather piece I'd fallen in love with and was asked to email it directly to Diane. I gave her my price range and she said she would make a feather hair piece similar to the one in the picture, but that would fit in my price range. After meeting with her the very first time, I knew I was in the right place. She was so creative and made me feel so much at ease. She knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. In fact, when I placed the order for the feather piece and veil, she said it would probably take a few days to complete. I got a call from Diane the very next morning and she said she had finished already and that there was even a little surprise on the feather piece. When I arrived to pick it up, there was a gorgeous Swarovski crystal in the center of the feather piece. She knew my style, she knew the look I was going for, and she made the most fabulous feather piece for me. She even included a touch of pink to accent the piece since that was the color that I was accenting my dress with! The cage veil was custom made to fit my face at the exact angle I wanted it. She stayed within my price range. I feel like I'm with a friend when I'm with her, not just someone trying to sell me something. She puts her heart and soul into everything she makes, and it totally shows.

I would recommend D'Angelo Bridal to any and every bride out there who is looking for a fun, comforting, and supportive atmosphere where the people aren't just looking for an easy sale, but work with you to create the look YOU want.

Diane is amazing when it comes to the custom jewelry that she makes herself! I got my tiara, earrings, and veil done there at a reasonable price (much below what some of the other big wedding shops were charging). If I need to be a bridesmaid or have another wedding to go to, I will definitely go back for some much needed accessories.

I chose magnolias as the theme for my wedding, since I am originally from the south and the wedding was in North Carolina. I wanted a silk magnolia-like flower for my hair, but could not find any online that I liked. I went to D'angelo to look for shoes, but when I saw all of the custom jewelry in the store I knew I was in the right place to find my jewelry. I explained to Diane what I wanted, and later emailed her a few pictures of some flowers I had seen online. When I went back to pick up the shoes, she had already made a flower hairpiece! She was going to make another one for me to use and keep the one she made for display so she offered to make any changes I wanted, but her design was perfect! I also ended up getting my bridesmaid jewelry sets custom designed here, which were very reasonably priced. Diane was so nice and great to work with!

Diane helped me with alterations on my dress, cleaning my dress, and finding the perfect veil. We also used her seamstress to "take in" my husbands suit. They were very professional and everything was done "on time"...ie, when they said it would be. I really appreciated her opinion and her help. She will not tell you something is flattering if it isn't! I loved that about her. I highly recomend her & the girls in her shop!!

Diane is amazing. I did not buy my dress from her - but I sure wish I did! She has a tiny little shop that's near Hooters and a mattress place in Mission Valley. It truly is a one-stop-shop. About 2 weeks before my wedding, I went in with my lace/beaded dress that needed some alterations. While I waited she sewed in some straps, added bra pads, and did a little stitch in the top to make it fit better. Other bridal stores quoted me hundreds of dollars for these quick fixes and needed my dress for 4-6 weeks! Give me a break - Diane took care of it all. I also chose a beautiful hair piece that she designed and she made earrings for me (also while I waited) that matched a custom necklace I had. The earrings were only $28. What a steal. It's kind of a hard place to go when you are first looking for a dress since there aren't thousands of dresses, but it's a perfect place to end up when you have a vision :) I love Diane.

I bought my flower girl dresses here and they were absolutely adorable. Diane was able to match the sash on the dresses to the exact color. Not only were the dresses beautiful and well made, but I was able to custom design some details. She also made a veil for me that was exactly what I wanted.

I bought my dress at D'Angelo Couture before they moved to their new location. I would first like to say, that the selection of dresses they have are beautiful, and there are plenty of accessories to choose from. I thought it was great that they can also customize the accessories. There are dresses in the store to fit anyone's price range. They also were able to accommodated me being a walk-in client.

Diane is the owner, I can see how some yelp reviewers did not like her, but I absolutely appreciated her honesty and the fact that she is very particular in her work. Diane personally wrapped my dress on the day of pick up, and even steamed a spot she thought needed just a tad bit more. She also gave me tips for the day of the wedding incase of any road bumps, and she personally put the dress into my car to show me how to properly handle it.

I also had my dress altered and cleaned through D'angelo Bridal. My seamstress was Cynthia, and my experience working with her through all of the fittings was so easy. The only problem I had was on one of my fittings, Cynthia had brought in and finished the wrong dress. I guess she mixed up my name with another bride when she put it into her calendar. I should have checked when she wrote my name in to correct her. It was no big deal to me because I still had a lot of time before my wedding. But she did a wonderful job bringing up all of the lace, and was able to let out my waist and still patch the lace work so you would have never noticed it. I had a one point bustle, and I've heard stories on how many brides' bustle breaks, but my bustle hung in there despite all the dancing I did that night. I also like the fact she didn't charge me each fitting.

I also want to mention I love their new location because you can actually see how your dress will be in the sunlight =)

I bought my wedding gown at D'Angelo Couture. It was one of Diane's own designs, for which she had amazing ideas for how to customize the gown to exactly what I was looking for. Her prices are reasonable and the quality of the gown was fantastic! It was at times hard to get an answer as to when my dress was arriving, but once it did the staff quickly let me know and scheduled me immediately for alterations. Diane believes in doing alterations close to the wedding date to ensure proper fit and the least amount of changes. Diane herself was always present during my fittings and paid close attention to the details of the dress. She addressed my concerns and questions quickly. My bridesmaid also purchased a hair clip for me to wear as a gift and it was beautiful! Overall, everything was great and I received many compliments about my dress and hair clip!

Diane, who is the owner of this adorable wedding boutique, is like the wedding saviour. She goes way above and beyond what is expected from a bridal store, especially when I didn't even purchase my wedding dress there! She was totally respectful of my decision, and even helped me with the alterations. I ended up also getting my bridesmaids dresses,wedding shoes, veil, bridesmaid jewelry,etc. from her store. She was so helpful and everything in her store is so pretty and perfect for my specific style I was looking for, I just ended up being able to get so many things in one place. That definitely made my bridal life a little easier!

I would highly recommend this boutique for any bride that is looking for something that is unique and special (i.e. unlike David's Bridal or most wedding dress shops).

Here's my story,
I bought my dress somewhere else and when I went to pick it up they didn't ask me to try it on or if I needed it altered. Panicked because my dress was a few sizes too big I called around and got a number for a woman who works at D'Angelo. When I showed up, she wasn't there but in walked the magnificent Lila!! She is a queen. My dress was all thick looped lace with beading up top and she completely transformed my dress into a one of a kind piece. She removed beading, hemmed the bottom, added a bustle, and took the dress in over five inches. She must have worked countless hours to make this dress perfect. The ladies in the shop were always so warm and welcoming. They made me feel like such a special bride every time.
Even though I didn't buy my dress here, I did some browsing. They have beautful gowns! And tons of veils and accessories for every brides needs.
I'm so thankful I found this shop and these ladies!

I used D'Angelo for my wedding dress alterations, and referred all my local bridesmaids as well. They did a very good job in the alterations, and gave careful instructions on how best to handle everything so that it would travel well. When I picked it up, it was the best I'd ever seen it, and it fit well! I didn't shop around too much for the cost, but from what I could tell they were about average, maybe a bit less expensive, than other tailors - definitely a lot cheaper than other bridal shops! The other benefit here is that since it's a boutique, you really feel like a bride.

I also purchased a beautiful brooch that my sister (the MOH) wore on her dress the day of the wedding. They have beautiful jewelery there, and if I hadn't already purchased all my bridal accouterments, I would probably have purchased a few items for myself here as well.

I think the only concern is that the gals in the shop can be gossipy - and while I'm up for good gossip, I'd hate to think that they're talking about me in the same way - though I hope that I didn't do anything to gossip about!

Overall, they make sure that you are 100% comfortable with your alterations, and they have very personal service, so I'd recommend them & definitely use them again! If you do have concerns, remember that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, so be sure to bring up your concerns delicately, so as not to be fodder for gossip.

I would highly recommend D'Angleo for their unique jewelry, but do not get your wedding alterations here!

The jewelry was very unique although slightly overpriced. I ended up finding what I was looking for here...I spent quite awhile looking around.

I am on the fence about recommending this company. I used them to custom-make my veil and I rented a slip. On the upside, they have good prices and the items I got were great. However, they do not run business well. As the bride before me stated, they are gossipy and the owner seems full of herself. They don't often answer their phone during business hours either. I requested a slip several months before my wedding and called the week before to confirm pick up - they had lost my order. A similar situation occurred with my veil - the owner called me "just to check" if she had my order right because she could not recall our discussion. Needless to say, I was hesitant to trust them.

Once you purchase your dress any customer service is eliminated. Alterations appointment was a nightmare. Had high hopes here, but they failed miserably. Advice: if you do decide to buy your dress here, look for a different place for alterations.

I will start this by saying I am not one to write a review - this is my first review that I have done, other than for my engagement picture photographer because she was great and she got a bonus if she got a review made for her. I felt the need to write this review so that other brides could be warned, and know what they are walking into when they go into D'Angelo Couture - take my review seriously, I didn't take reviews on her seriously and I am full of regret. Save yourself the trouble and go ANYWHERE ELSE.
This review could be very long, but the gist of it is... I ordered a custom dress from Diane. She then made the wrong top, the skirt was not like the sample and had to be redesigned, made the correct top in a little over a week (when she had over a month to do it), it was done sloppy and was incomplete, the skirt was then sewn on to the bodice on the incorrect place, and instead of admitting that it was sewn to where my hips are instead of my waist (not flattering), asked me if I gained weight (there were two days between my appointments). Overall, I spent $1400 on a poorly made dress then had to bring it to Denver to get it fixed, at an additional cost of $775, not to mention the cost of my flights to San Diego for alterations that could "only be done by her" since it was a custom dress. Diane had agreed to pay for alterations that I had done in Denver, but then only ended up reimbursing me $275 because she did not agree with the new seamstress in Denver. DO NOT GIVE THIS WOMAN ANY MORE BUSINESS. She is arrogant, rude, disrespectful, is not the amazing seamstress and designer she claims to be, and does not take responsibility for her mistakes. She has been the absolute worst part of my wedding planning experience. I am just thankful that I found somewhere in Denver that could fix all of her sloppy mistakes. She is going to say this review is lies, but I assure you, it is 100% true.

Diane is EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. As I walked out of her store, she yelled "forget you ever knew me!" Please do not waste your time or energy interacting with this woman.

I brought a vintage headpiece worn by my grandmother to Diane to have her re-attach some beads that fell off. She assured me that she could, and I left her with the headpiece and beads that had fallen off, along with a $100 deposit. Three months later, I made an appointment to pick up the headpiece, but the work wasn't done- she hadn't attached the beads but had instead attached a couple mismatched beads from her messy studio. I pointed out that I provided the original beads and she said "oh, I was wondering what those were!" Wow. Clueless. So then I sat there as she attached them only to realize that she was doing it in the wrong pattern that didn't match the rest of the headpiece. So she took them off to attach them correctly (even she could see it was done wrong) and I said I'd come back to pick it up instead of wait there for her to redo it.

I then decided I wasn't comfortable leaving the headpiece with her. I explained that she hadn't done the work I requested, and that it was unprofessional for her to not have it complete and to expect me to wait as she finished. She told me to pay her an additional $100 for the supposed 'days' she spent reinforcing other beads. I told her I did not want to get into an argument, but that I was an unsatisfied customer and the $100 deposit was sufficient for any works he may have done. I did my very best to keep calm and collected, and she told me I was passive aggressive and tried to bully me into paying ("just pay me and get out of here"). She finally gave up and and told me to take it and go, and as I walked out, she yelled "forget you ever knew me!", which I plan to do right after I warn all of San Diego to never do business with her. Her attitude is disgusting and her work is messy. Beware.
