Incredible experience!

We got married on 7/20/2024 and had the most incredible experience! We booked our wedding reception here with the old owners in 2023, but we had the BEST experience with the new 2024 management, Chantal. She was responsive to all of our needs and requests, and even let us come by the day before the wedding to set up. She helped make our reception run smoothly so that we could enjoy our special day with our friends and family. They have also updated a lot of things including the chairs, floors, and bridal suite. Overall, we were very impressed and would highly recommend this lovely, rustic venue.

The Perfect Venue

The whole day was perfect and everything went smoothly. Bob and Jay were both extremely helpful and they made my day relaxed and enjoyable! Also, the wait staff is fantastic and personable plus the food was amazing! I cannot recommend this venue enough. I received comments from my other vendors about how smoothly the day went and how laid back it was. Thank you!!!

Easy, fun, beautiful!

We had our wedding here in 2020 and they were so supportive throughout. They answered every question we had and were super affordable for the services they offer. Although they provide set up and take down, we did a significant portion of the set up because we wanted things a certain way, but they allowed us to come in the day prior since they didn't have another wedding that day and they still did all the getting ready so we didn't have to worry about appetizers or anything. We could totally customize the venue with the tables we needed and having photobooths and everything. The food was tasty and the alcohol was whatever we wanted up to whatever limit we set, which was about $500 for the 50 people we had.

The cons: maybe it's not the Ritz Carlton, but it has character and was really nice for what we paid for having our wedding there. The wifi was slow, so the photobooth was a bit glitchy and slow. It would've been helpful to have a pamphlet with all of their decorations so you could pick and choose what you want, but they have the place all set up for you to go see any time you want so you can see what they have. Just would've been nice to not have to send so many emails to ask what size votives they have and that we provide our own candles, etc. Finally, there's a specific way they want to do the toasts and cake cutting and all that, which you can change if you know about it ahead of time, but I don't feel like we knew that toasts were typically done in a specific corner and specific order, but they have reasons for that and it worked out fine. Although we curated a DJ list of about 20 songs and all of them were played, some of the other songs played weren't the most dance-able, but our guests made the most of the dance floor.

All in all, a 9.5/10 for our wedding. Our guests loved it. We had a wonderful time. The food was awesome and there was plenty of alcohol and dancing. Minor, minor changes, but didn't affect the overall day in the slightest. Would definitely recommend having a wedding here!

The best wedding venue

We were amazed at how well our wedding went. Bob helped the whole day run smoothly, and we had nothing to stress about on our big day. It was extremely affordable, and was a spectacular event. So many of our guests complimented us on how good the food was, how amazing the DJ was, and how well it was coordinated. We highly recommend this wonderful venue! We will remember our wedding day forever, and thanks to Crystal Rose, it was a beautiful experience.

All Around Amazing AAA!

The venue owner and staff went well above and beyond. My brother's wedding was the first event here since the COVID shutdown. Being in the event industry, I know how frightening the first event can be with new policies and expectations. This staff was friendly, overly accommodating, and just all around amazing! This was the way to celebrate love in the middle of a pandemic. I felt a little uneasy for their staff just since the policies are new and unsure but they all came together and assured us all they were happy to be there and a part of a celebration of love in a strange time. Not only did they accommodate by setting up tables outside and any request to make the guests more comfortable but the food, service and view are unparalleled! THANK YOU Crystal Rose and staff for allowing us to honor and celebrate love especially now when we could all use some! Just utterly AMAZING! If you are having an event in the Denver area and want a majestic view, fun venue and amazing staff book the Crystal Rose!

The Crystal Rose

Absolutely blew us away! They were amazing from the first phone call to the last minute of the wedding day! Our families were so impressed with the service, food, and staff! Everything ran so smoothly and we were so grateful for everything Bob, Jay, and the staff did. It was just a breeze to work everyone! So glad we had our wedding at the Crystal Rose! Truly a dreamy experience for us!

Amazing experience!

Where to start...from the beginning of planning a year ago, Bob and Jay made it so easy for us to plan our wedding at their second location, Robins Nest. Their super direct and straightforward with their pricing, information, and details even though day of. I couldn't imagine our wedding day being more perfect and the venue, along with Bob and his staff, made it everything I could want. Should you want a stress free wedding day, consider them. I will forever remember our day, and am so glad it was at Robin's Nest!

Best decision ever!

This was the perfect place to have my Colorado wedding. They have a couple different locations and I used their Lookout Mountain spot. The ceremony was held just outside at their gazebo, then dinner and dancing inside. You get a nice mix of mountain views and Denver (once the sun goes down you have an amazing view of the city lights from the dance floor). They do EVERYTHING here which is exactly what I was looking for. They do the food, DJ, alcohol, no cake cutting fee, and no required wedding planner. All I had to worry about was the cake, flowers, and any extra decorations which I didn’t even bother with because what they had was already nice. I worked mostly with Bob and he was amazing! I was never stressed while planning my wedding and he really brought it all together and made it really fun the day of. He even found a way to make all the awkward pictures you have to take more fun. We had the place until 1am and a good chunk of my guests kept dancing until the very end including myself and the groom. All their staff was really amazing as well, if you need something all you have to do is ask. I got a ton of compliments about the bar tender. I would highly recommend this place for a wedding if you want your guests to have a great time.

So Helpful!

The staff at Crystal Rose was so helpful throughout the whole process. The biggest perk is most everything is included with the venue, save for a few outside vendors that were easy to find. My husband is in the military, so we planned our wedding in 6 weeks. The Crystal Rose staff had everything in place for our big day. On the day of our wedding, they made sure my husband and I did not lift a finger! From serving us food and beverages to packing our gifts and decorations, they were helpful from beginning to end. It was such a relief from the hectic planning I'd the wedding to be able to enjoy our special day. I highly recommended this venue!

Phenomenal!!!!

When we chose Crystal Rose for our wedding venue we did not know what to expect, but we absolutely made the best choice! They were very organized, friendly and determined to make our wedding the best day of our lives. Even when the weather reared its ugly head and it snowed on our wedding Bob, Dudley and the rest of the wonderful staff here helped not only assure us that everything was going to be okay, but made everything better than we could have ever hoped for. I would highly recommend this place as not only is the scenery stunning but the friendliness professionalism and care the staff have for your special day is equally stunning as well! Thank you Bob and everyone for the most memorable special day of our lives!

Our wedding was at the Lookout location on 8/31/2018 and was so fantastic! These guys are top notch and everyone was so nice and took care of every detail! I loved that everything was included and got so many compliments on their food! Bob and Jay were really on top of things and I had zero issues the entire day/night. The entire staff were so sweet and even made sure they had my favorite wine. I couldn’t have asked for a better day and highly recommend Crystal Rose as your venue!

I have to say my wedding turned out great!! Mother Nature did not allow for an outdoor wedding by Bob and his AMAZING staff did an excellent job! My ceremony was perfect and the transition into the reception was smooth. My guests kept telling me how beautiful my wedding was. It was nice that I did not have to think about much the morning of the wedding. Bob implemented our ideas perfectly from the ceremony to music. Thanks for making my special day great!!!

The groom, our family and friends all loved the Crystal Rose! Jay, Bob and their excellent staff worked very hard to make our special day exceptional. We got married on Mother's Day 2018, a rare rain-soaked foggy day in Colorado. The Crystal Rose staff seamlessly transitioned our wedding from their outdoor setting to their indoor venue based on the bride's decision two hours before the ceremony without any negative impacts on the comfort of our guests. Better yet, literally everyone on the staff did all they could to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the entire day. The ceremony was great, we thought Chris (the minister recommended by Jay and Bob) was wonderful, the food was great, the service was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to take extra good care of the groom’s 96 year-old father. And, Bob was an excellent MC and a fun DJ too.

We got married on 9.9.17 at Crystal Rose at Lookout Mountain and the staff was incredible! Every detail was handled perfectly and beyond our expectations! Everything from set up and decorations to tear down was amazing! The staff did everything possible to make our day exactly what we dreamed of! The food was so delicious, the service staff was attentive, professional and friendly! We had guests commenting how great everything about the venue was. We could not be happier with every detail of our wedding. Our DJ Chris (provided by Crystal Rose) had our guests on the dance the dance floor with us all night! Thank you Bob and to all the staff at Crystal Rose for making our day more than we could have ever dreamed of! We highly recommend the Crystal Rose for any event!

We held our wedding reception at Crystal Rose and it was just fabulous! Jay and his son Bob were a pleasure to work with and their experience and knowledge in planning and delivering came shinning through! The food was great and there were a ton of options to select from. One of the things we liked the most is that almost everything is included in the package price so you don't get all these numerous add-ons that some venues hit you with. We also saved a lot of time since we didn't have to make a lot of extra calls. Over all a very good value! Bob also served as an entertaining DJ and the dance was a huge success with a good time had by all! We can highly recommend the Crystal Rose for anyone who wants your clients, family, and friends to go home with a smile on their face, well fed, and impressed!

We got married on May 2, 2015 at Crystal Rose Lookout Mountain. I can not say enough about this venue. I was 100% happy that this was the venue we picked. The staff helped to make the day so perfect. People always say, "don't stress when things go wrong on your wedding day, because they will". I am still trying to find somewhere that something went wrong. I give credit to the staff for this, especially Darren, the wedding coordinator. He helped everything to move so smoothly and walked us through everything from the planning to the reception. He was helpful and prompt on anything and everything we needed. The staff, the view, the food, everything was perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fabulous place to celebrate their special day.

This venue provided just the right amount of awesomely romantic atmosphere to our wedding!! The Staff was all very cordial and helpful. Darren the wedding coordinator for the crystal roses robins nest was a awesome support thru the whole process! He was very knowledgeable and answered ever question with quickness and efficiently. The wait staff and bar tender were very professional and helpful thru the whole event. The DJ did awesome with picking the music after we had given him a short list of what we liked. The whole staff made things move along efficiently and stayed very much on line with the time line of events. I am so happy with the way my wedding day turned out the crystal roses robins nest made it a very memorable wedding!! I would strongly recommend this venue to any body that's getting married!!

Thank YOu to the happy super friendly staff! My guest made some comments of how nice everyone was! If we could afford it . .. i do it all again! The gift cards are and awesome idea. .. it truly can help bring the cost down. We chose Crystal Rose because of the honesty and no hidden fees! charging per person instead of per hr is so much more enjoyable. You dont have to rush out and clean up after yourself before 10pm. It has a beautiful nature scenery . .. which went awesome with our cameo wedding! the only thing i would say it needs is a bathroom in the brides rm :)

We got married on October 24th 2013 at the crystal rose on east Hampden. We were so extremely happy with how our wedding went. The place was set up beautifully as I had hoped. The food was just as delicious as I remember at the food tasting. All of our family and friends complemented the food and how nice the venue was. Bob really pulled through and made sure everything went perfectly and smoothly. Everyone working that night was also wonderful. The bar tender took awesome care of us throughout the night and even helped me select some music. The young man who helped the night was very kind to us as well. I didn't see whomever cooked but whomever did, did an amazing job. So happy we went to the crystal rose, our wedding was perfect!

We got married at Crystal Rose on Lookout Mountain a few weeks ago, and I have to give major props and praises to this incredible and beautiful venue! From the get go, Darren patiently and kindly answered questions for us, made logical and truthful suggestions as to what works and may not work, and helped us build our dream day. He knows so much about his venue, the setup of a wedding (down to the little but meaningful details that you may forget or not think about during the day), and works so diligently to keep things running smoothly to make for a great wedding night. Thanks to Darren for being such a professional through and through, and for guiding us through this sometimes trying and confusing process! He made our lives so easy during our eight months of planning, as well as the few weeks leading up to the big day, and most importantly on the day of the wedding all the way through the end of the night. The staff here was professional and extremely respectful of us and all of our guests- they treated each and every person at our wedding as if they were royalty, and they put in a lot of hard work to make everybody comfortable throughout the night. They set everything up for the ceremony and reception, as well as took everything down afterwards. It was important to us to save our family and friends the trouble of setting up and taking down tons of decorations and tables. It all looked so beautiful and tasteful, and we really appreciated that they took care of us and allowed our family and friends to simply enjoy our special day and not have to worry about any details before or after. The food was so delicious- we had people raving to us about it for weeks after the wedding!
If you want an easy and enjoyable wedding planning experience, catered to what you want and very much run smoothly, then Crystal Rose is absolutely the place to go. THANKS DARREN, JAY, AND THE WHOLE STAFF AT CRYSTAL ROSE LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN!

We had our wedding at the Highlands Ranch Location. It went perfect! Cheena was so awesome she got back to me in a timely manner every time I had a question. They set up the reception area exactly like I wanted and it looked amazing. The food and music are all done by the venue. The food was great and so many of the guests said they loved it! It was a stress free day and the staff took care of everything. Everything about it was amazing and I am so glad I was able to work with Cheena!

My daughter had her wedding at the Hampden location on October 8, 2011. I cannot say enough nice things about the entire experience. Cheena and her staff were just amazing---took care of everything so that the family could relax and enjoy the wedding. We had the ceremony there along with the reception. The employees were on top of everything and several comments were made to us thru the evening on how perfect the venue was. The buffet was wonderful and the amount of food provided was great! The DJ was great, the bartending service was outstanding and the response to everything was immediate! Thank you Crystal Rose for an amazing experience!!!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Crystal Rose Lookout Mountain location. We had our wedding 5 months after our engagement and Catherine (the wedding coordinator for the Crystal Rose) made the process so smooth and painless. We did our Medieval theme wedding here, it all went so smoothly :) I love that we didn't have to set up anything ourselves for decorations and Bob was totally on top of things, and very up front about everything. The setting was great, and we are very glad we chose this venue

The Crystal Rose did a great job for our wedding reception! We lost a few thousand dollars when our original reception venue suddenly shut down out of nowhere. (we're still pursuing legal action to get the money back from the owner) Jay at the Crystal Rose really stepped up and helped us out financially. The venue on Lookout Mountain was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the staff was very friendly. Our wedding coordinator, Catherine, really knew what she was doing and her experience showed when the reception started. If you're not exeperienced with weddings, don't worry. They will take care of everything. I'm from the Netherlands and my family came all the way from Europe for the wedding. The Crystal Rose was very accommodating to the traditional Dutch wedding customs that were performed during the reception. The family thought it was beuatiful and had a great time. If I had one very mild criticism it would be that the wedding traditions/events during the reception (i.e. bouqet toss, garder toss...etc) seemed to be a bit rushed. We would have prefered to have a little more time for dinner. But, that can always be changed and it should not stop you from going to the Crystal Rose! We had a great time and everyone had nothing but great things to say about their experience. When we renew our vows or if we have a huge party...we'lll try to have it at the Crystal Rose!

I can not say enough about Crystal Rose on Hampton in Denver!!!!!!! They provided us the best service and gave us an unforgettable night!! Cheena and her staff were awesome. They took care of everything for us and the music was just what we wanted. Several of our guest came to us to tell us how friendly and professional the staff was. When me daughters were working with Cheena, her and her staff were very helpful. When I called Cheena to make some last minute changes, she was very accommodating. When I went to change my shoes for dancing, Cheena was right there to assist me. And Jay, the owner, was very helpful as well. My husband and I were married at the Crystal Rose on East Hampden. I fell in love with the stairs and the fact that they included almost everything was a huge bonus. The food was fantastic! My friend went to a wedding a week later and they paid more money for the food and said it tasted horrible compared to the food at our wedding. They were great the day of my wedding and made sure that myself, my husband, and our wedding party was comfortable the whole morning before the ceremony started. They played all the music we asked for and told my guest who requested a song that was in a genre we put on the dont play list that they couldnt. When my mom asked for my permission for the song all I had to do was go to the DJ and tell him that the song was ok and he played it the next song. My husband and his groomsmen sang a song for me from the movie our wedding was based around and they handed over the mic and played the song in the background in case someone didnt know the words.

Our only issue was they took away the food to soon! We wanted more but had to go do pictures. When we came back about 30 minutes later the food was gone :(

I can't say enough great things about the Crystal Rose.
Catherine was our coordinator who made our experience from the beginning to the very end better than I could have ever expected. She had great suggestions about decorations, vendors and was very accomodating throughout the whole process.
The staff was great. A big storm moved through right before the ceremony and somehow they had everything set up outside just in time!
Thank you to the Crystal Rose and especially Catherine for a lifetime of wonderful memories!!

The coordinator is extremely responsive to your needs and wants to make everything perfect for you. She takes care of all the details that you wouldn't be able to remember all by yourself, even if you tried. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch; very smooth. We got compliments about the food in the buffet and the staff was great. We couldn't say enough good things about the Crystal Rose on Hampden.

Bob from the Crystal Rose Robin's Nest made my day better than I could have imagined. I didn't have to worry about anything. Everything went as planned and on time. The food was great, the music was great, the drinks were great, EVERYTHING was great! I would recommend Crystal Rose to anyone. The cost is very reasonable considering everything you get and with their own vendors list it helps to find other great vendors and there is no penalty for using your own vendors. We used some of theirs and some of our own and everything was great. A big thanks to Bob and Candy for making my day perfect!

I love the crystal rose on Hampden! They accomedated every need that I had! Cheena was super helpful before and after the wedding. They even had a person that was like my personal assistant for the day. The price was great and the package included everything. I had to go and get a cake, photographer and officiant. But music, food, waitstaff, set up, tear down and bartender. They have other venues, but this one is the best!

They actually did a wonderful job. They were very helpful and allowed us to make payments on our event until the day of the wedding. Cheena was a wonderful wedding coordinator. She made sure our day was very special and memorable.

The Crystal Rose made our wedding exactly what I had hoped for. Our planner never missed a beat when things didin't go exactly as planned before the ceremony when neither me or my husband had any control over what happened. When people sat in the wrong place or there wasn't enough room for a wheelchair he took care of everything. I would recommend the Crystal Rose and Lookout Mountain to anyone looking.

The Crystal Rose is truly where lucky dreams come true. Being a college student, I didn't have all the time in the world to bring everything together. With the crystalrose, I didn't have to. I never had to worry about the caterer, and I still got to pick the food. I never had to worry about a bartender, and they even knew the drinks I liked...plus they had some AMAZING champagne. I didn't have to worry about the DJ, but I got to pick the styles of music and if they didn't have a song we wanted they were hooked up online and downloading it within seconds. The site was gorgeous...and to top it all off, I didn't have to decorate myself or clean up!!! They took care of all of it. I had another friend get married there in November and it was just as wonderful. It may seem expensive, but when you consider everything they do for you, you're actually saving money!

We had our wedding at the Crystal Rose in Highlands Ranch and it was spectacular. This venue has so much to offer and has many recommendations to choose from. They provide a place for the ceremony and reception and it is all in one place, so you don't risk losing half your guest from for example a church to the reception haha. The staff is really great and they do exactly what you tell the to. The catering was amazing and the food is still being talked about how delicious it is. The price was also really affordable.

Bob and Jay were great to work with when planning the event. They were really flexible and had helpful suggestions. Candy (our day-of-coordinator) was the best! She made sure everything was setup perfectly and went off without a hitch. Also, the staff on the day of the wedding were so nice. My husband and I got so many compliments on how smoothly things ran and how beautiful the venue was.

We got married at their Lookout Mountain Location. It was a beautiful setting and the staff was great to work with. Everything about our day flowed as smooth as I could have imagined, and our guests had a great time. Their food was terrific, and the DJ kept everything going... it was a perfect night there!

We had rented chair covers from www.chaircoversandlinens.com and the bridesmaids and I were going to put them on ourselves the day of the wedding. So when we showed up, someone at the Crystal Rose was already putting them on for us! They even took them off and sent them back after the wedding...that scored major points with me!

From a photographers perspective

So I shoot weddings and I just did so at the Crystal Rose a couple days ago. Their staff is just amazing. It is comprised of 6-8 wedding veterans who have all been working together for over 10 years. Everything happened on time. From what I could tell they provided an all inclusive venue so they waited to put the chairs out for the ceremony until like 20 min before it should start- so no rain hits the chairs. Little stuff like that you don’t have to worry about when it’s your wedding day.

This place was incredible. They worked with my budget, the food was DELICIOUS, they all did an amazing job. Because of them everything went so smoothly! My only complaint is that they played the wrong song when I walked down the aisle, and several songs that I requested beforehand never got played. Other then that I am very satisfied!

Quality of Service: There was always someone willing to help. I planned my wedding while living in Boston and booked the Crystal Rose on Lookout Mountain before even looking at the place in person. During the reception, Catherine did a terrific job at making sure the groom and I were always taken care of as well as making sure her staff took care of anything guests' requests.

Responsiveness: Again, I planned and worked with the Crystal Rose thousands of miles away and I received a phone call or email within 48 hours.

Professionalism: The staff and DJ were always on point. Their suggested vendors provided quality work as well (Das Meyer, JC Photography, Nature's Palate Floral).

Value: High quality food, decor, service for our money. Every dollar well worth it. Table decorations were included and that was extremely helpful since no one attending or a part of the wedding was from Colorado. Worked out logistically.

Flexibility: Extremely ready to accomodate! They went so far as to ask another couple to move their wedding location in order for my husband and I to have our reception at Lookout Mountain. Big thanks to that couple, but also big ups for the Crystal Rose staff to make accomodations for both couples.

Our wedding went off without a glitch and I couldn't have asked for a better location and staff for our reception. Thanks so much! Definitely recommend it!

Catherine O'Keefe was an absolute joy to work with. She was not only flexible about our payment options, but treated us wonderfully throughout the whole process. I had a flat tire after already running late on the day of the wedding. It was such a stressful day until I arrived at the Crystal Rose on Lookout Mountain. Catherine took care of all the details and let me enjoy my day! I would recommend her to anyone. The food was also perfect. All of my guests told us how delicious it was. We did run out of beef but we still had pork which was also delicious. We chose this facility because it is a full service facility, and I was not disappointed in any of the included amenities (DJ, bartenders, etc.).

We had our wedding and reception at the Crystal Rose on East Hampden in Denver, CO. The whole thing came together beautifully!!!! They were willing to let us come up and go over the place with our photographer the same day we called. Everything the day of our wedding ran perfectly and I never had to worry that something wasnt happening that was supposed to. The food tasted fantastic. We ordered for 100 and had less than 50 people show and they still ate all the food. The had no limit to the number of times you could go back for more food.

The Crystal Rose made all of our dreams come true. It was raining hard and we decided to move the ceremony indoors. But when it was time to start...it stopped raining and we got to move everything outside! Very flexible and professional. Very highly recommend!

Everything went really well with this vendor. They provided most of main things I would need ie...catering, renting, dj, music etc...the only thing that went wrong the entire night is that the music did not play when we walked back down the aisle as husband as wife. It looked awkward, but I don't really think anybody other than us noticed!

We just held our daughters wedding there. It started to rain/snow and we were outside. We all were freezing and wet. After the ceremony we all went inside and started warming up, mingling and having a great time. The food was wonderful! The decorations, music and lighting was great. Bob and the staff were amazing. They were very accommodating to whatever we needed. Except for the weather, we were very happy with how it all went. The Crystal Rose did an INCREDIBLE job on our May 20, 2016 wedding!! I was so nervous after I signed the contract with them because I began to read some negative reviews. Those reviews were absolutely un-realistic! They did everything perfectly!!

I am a pain in the butt bride and they listened to everything that I wanted: put this here, hide this, OH I hate that, move that there, I need this, do you have, can I use, ......and after all of my requests Jay and Bob simply said "Yes, no problem. Of course". At first I thought that was odd, always telling me "yes" but after my wedding a realized that they are TRULY accommodating and have seen crazy brides like me before.

Bob and his team made me feel 100% confident in everything they did. Their service was ON POINT and Bob did a stellar job DJ'ing my party. The food was incredible and the views were breathtaking. Not only was our wedding absolutely perfect but it was affordable!!!

If you are looking for a gorgeous venue with an "all in one" (easy for planning) that does weddings flawlessly then you should check out the Crystal Rose at Lookout Mountain!!

They were awesome and they were the cheapest wedding venue that I could find in Colorado. They provided the best service ever, I was very impressed. However, it was really hard to get a hold of them through phone and email, pre-wedding; it would take a week or so for them to respond which was kind of stressful.

Catherine, the wedding planner, was just fantastic. I felt such a sense of relief after meeting with her; she was focused on the details, so I could put attention to other aspects. She provided us with all the timelines and information I needed to be organized. On the day of the wedding, she kept the ceremony and reception flowing and made sure everyone was taken care of. The Crystal Rose was beautiful, the staff, including the DJ was awesome.

I had my wedding at the Robin's Nest by the Crystal Rose.

The venue was beautiful and the day went very well. Bob and his team were great and did everything they could to make my day perfect. I would suggest, however, that you make extensive notations for them as far as your decorating instructions go. I thought I had given enough instruction but there were a few things I and my bridal party had to fix ourselves before the guests arrived.

Overall, the venue was well worth the cost. The only thing I'd say is be wary of their service charge. On top of the sales tax they add a 21% "service charge" and then expect you to pay another 15-20% gratuity after your event. That seems unreasonable to me, but they still have the best price around.

Pros: All inclusive, great staff, nice location
Cons:Less than immaculate, missed some details I asked for, not a very smooth flow to the day.

All in all, I would recommend them. It's a little corporate feeling but they worked hard.

We looked at four of the Crystal Rose locations in the area, and the Hampden Ave. (Denver) location was the one we liked best, after deciding to have our ceremony elsewhere.

We were nothing but impressed with Cheena, the manager/planner there. She was always friendly, patient, helpful, accommodating and professional. She always responded to phone calls/emails quickly and answered whatever questions we had and/or made changes for us. She organized everything down to the tiniest detail and it all went off without a hitch.

The venue inside is lovely, with a beautiful spiral staircase that we used as our "grand entrance". We chose a buffet-style dinner and after attending a tasting, chose which dishes we wanted to serve. The food was very good & many guests complimented on it.

The only thing we were less-than impressed with (which is why I gave only 3 stars for professionalism) was the in-house DJ. We had given him a specific playlist of songs, with notes about "this song is for..." we heard 3 of the "bride & groom" songs we'd listed while we were still outside the venue taking photos etc. before we'd even entered the reception. Many of these special songs were not played at all, when we approached him about our songs he was stand-offish, almost rude & argumentative. I will say he chose good music to play, and did work in many from our list... so the music ended up being very good and everyone had a good time dancing & enjoying themselves.

The Crystal Rose did a great job in almost every aspect of making our reception run smoothly. The food was hot and tasted good, the guests were happy and the D.J. was a lot of fun. I liked how they kept things moving and included all the things that were most important to us. They provided all the equipment and table settings at no extra charge, which made them seem very reasonable. We also really liked the setting.

The only misgivings we had with them were that we paid extra so that everyone could have soda to drink, however, they didn't have anyone at the bar to serve this soda; And we asked them to announce that we were leaving, but they failed to do so and some people were left out of our final getaway.

The venue is very nicely located on Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO with an gazebo that overlooks a lake and the city view of Denver. The indoor reception and outdoor area is perfect for a very small outdoor wedding. I chose this venue due to its location and that it was all inclusive with catered food, Dj bar service and also would set up any decorations you wanted. The food was phenomenal I was very impressed. The Dj was fun and had great music selections. The staff, managers and owner are questionable. When I 1st picked this location and reserved it was in the winter covered with snow. In the spring and summer I went back to view the venue. I noticed that the back yard by the gazebo had lawn issues, huge spots with no grass growing right infront of the gazebo and where guests would sit. I talked to them about it and they assured they would take care of it. I emailed them often to see how it was coming along and they assured me that they had grass seed planted and that it was growing in beautifully. However, when I went to check for myself that was not the case, there patches of missing grass were the same. Another issue we had was them scheduling our scheduling our rehearsal for the wrong day. They also said that they would provide a free bottle of champagne for the prep room for the bridesmaids of which was never received. I was disappointed with their lack of honesty and at times poor service. I did end up receiving a credit for the appearance of lawn. Even though their were some minor shortfalls it was still a beautiful wedding and food and entertainment was great. Just know that you get what you pay for and hold them to the high standards they claim.

For the most part, Crystal Rose--Bob was wonderful. Our wedding went off with little problems. Our complaint is that during a time we tried to cancel, they took our payment in full and denied any refund at all. They claimed their deposit was $3,000 instead of the $200 we were told. Other issues we had were the notes left with the various items for set-up, they were ignored. An example, a centerpiece for the sweetheart table left with a guest and was never even displayed. And, Bob did play most of the music on our playlist except the Bride & Groom introduction song, but a few times--he did not look to make sure one of the people were in the room--Father & Bride dancefor example--I was stuck in the bathroom the whole song trying to get back in my dress! The food is absolutely excellent! The service staff was on top of things, one of the ladies even entertained our three year old for us, and we were directed for each activity as they came up. Bob made sure to give us advanced warning for timed issues too. The room was beautiful--the ceremony items for the gazebo, chairs, and the flower petals all looked like a dream. Overall, for a couple on a tight budget and looking for a venue that can do nearly all of it for you, set-up and clean-up included, we recommend Crystal Rose. Don't have expectations on the little things though, you will be let down.

Great all inclusive. Wasn't happy with the DJ and the music, but they had something going on with the "regular" DJ and had someone else sitting in that wasn't as informed. But wedding was smooth even after the rain. It was an outside wedding.
Also, the bridal prep room is VERY HOT. Heaters run in there all year round. It will get hot if you are trying to get ready. Also, there is no bathroom for the bride to use without being seen by the guest.

We found this venue as a lower cost option in the Denver area, and Jay was very responsive to initial inquiries. Although the photos online look great, we found the venue in person to be a big dingy, and out-dated especially considering the cost we were quoted. They also did not have the option to cover their stained and outdated chairs; we would have had to rent chair covers from a separate vendor. They included a DJ within their cost estimates and had brunch catering options that we were looking for. However, upon comparison with other venues we considered, and factoring in both the “included” costs and “extras”, this venue was not cost effective. We also felt that it may be a bit confusing to find for all of our out-of-state guests as phone signals were spotty; and parking space was also a bit of a concern with Jay telling us guests could ultimately park in the park across the street.

We had originally booked our wedding at the Crystal Rose in Colorado Springs, and after 4months of trying to get a hold of them to schedule a tasting and meeting, found out they had closed down. 4 months before our wedding. So we went to the Golden location and met with Bob who said he would honor what we had already paid at the Colorado Springs location which I thought was fine. We had to change our date, so we had to re-order invitations and everything that we had already ordered with our previous date on them. Then at a meeting with Jay, all of the sudden there was a service fee and a site fee and the price per seat had gone up, so while they did honor the deposit we put down there was over $2000 in "extra fees" that we were not told about. At that point it was too close to the wedding to cancel, so we just went with it. The rehearsal went okay, the planner was very helpful and helped us as to where to stand and walk which was very helpful because none of us knew how to do any of this. How ever, the day of the wedding, she turned into super Nazi. She was very short with us and very easily frustrated. They did not time the dinner appropriately so we waited around for almost 45 minutes after the ceremony for dinner to be served. Then we had a special cake, and our cake girl asked if she could cut the cake since she had a specific way she wanted it cut, and was told "absolutely not, this is what we get paid for" without even asking me what I wanted. Then at the end of the night, she approached my mother (who had nothing to do with the finances) and asked for the tip. Another hidden cost that we were not told about. And they wanted almost $1000 when we had already paid over $3000 more than we had been quoted at the Colorado Springs location. On the plus side, the DJ was very good and attentive and played a variety of good music. He did mess up one of our songs and forgot to introduce our flower girl, but all and all he was good.

Liars and thieves

I don't recommend this place at all if I could give them a -100 review I would! They take advantage of you in a desperate panic situation! We had booked this place because one of the other venues that we actually booked and paid for sent a notice to the brides that they were shutting their doors and we were in a panic to get a venue quickly. We were finding that not many other venues had our date that we were set on and Crystal Rose did have our date. Again I was in a panic thinking oh my gosh I'm not going to get married. The previous venue did refund our money. We were referred to Crystal Rose by others and when we got there we just booked because they were the only ones who had our date and less than 24 hours later we decided that this place wasn't for us. In fact it is super run down very old fashioned also next to telephone lines that are sending out electric pulses not but 20 ft away from you. They decided not to give us our deposit back even though we informed him less than 24 hours after booking this place just wasn't for us. Most places have a 7 Day buyer's remorse clause. Put this place apparently does not. Even though when we spoke to the owner Jay he told us that he would work with us if they got the date filled to get us our deposit back. We kept calling him to check on to see if the date was filled and he just kept saying " not yet but don't worry there are plenty of brides are going to come look at it and we'll get you your money back" we really felt that we were just being taken advantage of and lied to that he wasn't planning on giving us our money back at all. We then originally posted this review and he wasn't happy about it so he said that if we came up with the contract that he would make sure that we would get our money back he would just have to do it in payments. I do have a contract that Jay the owner and I both signed he was supposed to pay us back by June 10th in full when we did get back from our honeymoon because we did end up going with a different venue l, he had said that he didn't have the money and that he just needed a little bit more time. That was June 10th it is now July 17th and he has yet to pay us any money we have been in constant contact with him he finally after we threatened to take him to court he sent us a $500 check of which we received in the mail please keep in mind our deposit was $2,000 and then once that check came he said oh just kidding please don't cash that as that bank is the incorrect bank I will send you more money in the mail right now but he accidentally wrote on the wrong checking account that the checking account didn't exist even though when my husband went to go check with the bank that is actually an account that is active and since we did find that out we thought that he again was just dicking us around to not pay us. Once again we threatened to take him to court and he said please don't I will send you a check right now and that was over a week ago. And we still have not received anything. I am posting this review to please let all the brides and couples know that this place will take advantage of you and they are not good people they do not have good intentions or morals. I didn't have to deal with anybody else but Jay who is one of the owners or the owner he was the only one we spoke to the only one I met with please do not believe anything that he says as he took advantage of my husband and me in a very very desperate time when all we wanted to do was get married. Also a little extra information that they haven't even been in good standing with the Secretary of State for many years as a business.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. The staff was very rude. The food came out 3 hours after the ceremony, they had to remove tables in order to create a dance floor. Multiple people including myself saw the staff carrying the trash from the kitchen out into the walkway of the guests. This place is not suitable for 100 plus people. Maybe 30. There where cobwebs everywhere and the chairs where very dirty. Please save your money and go elsewhere.
