    Food was excellent

    They did a great job with the food! Drew pays a lot of attention to the details and I thought everything worked out perfectly. I also received a lot of comments from guests that they really enjoyed the meals and appetizers

    Delicious and tasty food

    The food was great and the service was spectacular. Drew really knows how to please a crowd and his staff were very professional.

    Drew, Wessam and their team were amazing to work with! Every guest raved about how tasty the food was (especially the fun choices for appetizers!) and said that it was the least bland, boring 'wedding food' they've had. The Cricket team also went above and beyond helping us to choose and order table linens and everything we needed to host the perfect event. I seriously could not have done it without them, and I appreciate so much their responsiveness to all my last-minute requests as the big day drew near. Highly recommend!!

    My husband and I used Cricket Catering for our wedding reception on June 26th, 2018. It was a great experience. Drew and his team were very helpful in the planning process before the wedding! And, they were always very accommodating with everything, but especially the food (my groom is a picky eater, so we had to pick things and modify them, so that he would like them!). On our menu, for Hors d'Oeuvres we had bruschetta and a cheese display both of which were delicious and my guests loved them! And for dinner, we had steak in a red wine sauce, penne pasta with marinara sauce, and chicken fettuccine alfredo (which was a special request from us), and we also had salad, rolls, and garlic bread. All of the food was delicious! My guests are still raving about it to me! And, in my opinion, that was the best chicken fettuccine alfredo I have ever had! It was amazing. They also did all of the set up and clean up, which was a huge burden off of our shoulders!

    Overall, Cricket Catering did an amazing job! Drew and the staff were great, the food was amazing, and I would highly recommend them for any wedding or event!

    We used Cricket Catering for our Wedding Celebration reception. We had appetizers and a set of 3 food stations. Both the food and staff were A+++. Our event was a complete success, and the team at Cricket went above and beyond to make this happen. I would definitely recommend them for any catering needs.

    Cricket Catering did an incredible job. Casey Rose was absolutely amazing at walking us through everything for our wedding. She adjusted incredibly well to any curve balls we threw at her. The Cricket Catering staff did not miss a beat. We used Cricket Catering for our hors d'oeuvres, cake, bar service, and dinner service. They exceeded all expectations. The staff was incredibly vigilant and friendly on every level. I cannot emphasize how easy they were to work with. If you’re looking for a stress-free wedding, great accommodations, and excellent service, then go with Cricket Catering.

    Thank you so much to Cricket Catering for helping in creating the wedding of our dreams! Everyone on the team is very personable, kind and passionate about providing excellent service! Casey, the wonderful event planner was a true gem! She was helpful, attentive, honest and provided feedback promptly which allowed everything to run smoothly! She was very patient with us throughout the planning process. I didn’t worry about any of the details and knew that our vision would be created by her and the wonderful team! ! I can’t imagine a better venue ( 20th century club) and caterer! The club is exquisite and charming! Drew the wonderful owner created a delicious menu and the linens/table setting exactly as we wished! Thank you so much for everything !! If you want highest quality and customer service for your next event, Cricket Catering is your company!!

    Cricket Catering was an awesome vendor to work with! The food was excellent and it was easy to fit into our budget everything we wanted. They were incredibly easy and flexible. All of the staff we interacted with were great- all were very helpful and willing to do anything you needed to make the day special. They conducted the day flawlessly and I was so pleased with how smooth everything went. I couldn't be happier with them and fully recommend them to anyone looking for a great vendor to partner with.

    Casey and the staff at Cricket Catering were all wonderful. From the beginning, Casey was so easy to talk to, reliable, knowledgeble, and professional. We had booked our catering almost a year in advance and I never worried about anything. Casey and I met once again before our wedding at our venue and she was there at the wedding. Everything ran so smoothly. I could not have asked for more of her or her staff. My guests loved the food and the staff. I had silverware and some linens from them also and they were great. Thank you Casey and staff!

    From the beginning, Casey was incredibly flexible, supportive, reliable and developed excellent suggestions and solutions by getting to know us, and understanding our vision for the wedding. She encouraged Cricket to develop recipes for our requests not on their list of suggested menus, and was excited to host us for tastings to showcase samples of the specific items we wanted our guests to enjoy at the event.

    From my understanding of what other catering managers offer, she went above and beyond to tirelessly ensure the success of our event. Pricing for everything was competitive and transparent.

    Cricket also flawlessly handled the rentals, which were of excellent value and staff were able to deal with last minute location changes of our ceremony space. When we arrived at the reception space, we were very impressed with the set up of the space: every requested detail had been honored. Our friends and relatives (many foodies/industry people) were so impressed with the friendly professionalism of the staff, the quickness and skills of the bartenders and the quality of the food.

    I would be happy to serve as a reference for people considering them to cater their event.

    The food, service, value, and people were all great! Our only wish would have been that they would have kept the bar open longer (alcohol was supplied by us), but that could have also been poor communication on our part... Other than that we had absolutely no complaints at all and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation!

    Cricket Catering was instrumental in making our vision for our wedding a reality with great and affordable service. Our contact, Casey Rose was a joy to work with, and was always available to help talk us through our sometimes nontraditional ideas and figure out how to make them work in the space. Meeting with her always put our minds at ease while at the same time, getting us to make major decisions that moved us far along the path to the day.

    On the wedding day, everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the servers were very nice and relaxed, and Casey was there the whole time to make sure things ran smoothly and to take pressure ad work off of us as often as possible. Cricket was a large part of why our wedding was so wonderful.

    Casey and her staff were amazing, helping us with all of our unique and specific requests throughout the entire wedding planning process, which was great because I am very particular. We had so much fun and had nothing to worry about the day of our event, as everything was taken care of. All of our guests had an amazing time as well and raved about all of the food, especially the ice cream bar! I would strongly recommend the Twentieth Century Club for any future event!

    Working with Cricket Catering was spectacular! Unlike other vendors, the folks at Cricket treated our intimate wedding with the same care and responsiveness as an event with a large guest list. Everyone was pleased with the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the servers. They have a partnership with various vendors, which allowed me to order food, tables, chairs, and china on one contract. I highly recommend working with Drew and the rest of the folks over at Cricket!

    We absolutely loved working with Casey Rose from Cricket Catering. She helped us through the entire planning process and was very responsive to every question. She spelled out all of the costs up front, and helped us to understand the process as a whole. She and the catering company handled all of our rentals and made sure that everything was set up exactly how we wanted it on our wedding day. Casey was present at our rehearsal dinner to help set up the venue, and was also present on our wedding day to make sure everything ran smoothly. When we encountered unexpected rain for what was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, Casey and the staff easily transitioned into a backup plan to set up everything indoors.

    In addition to Casey's truly excellent service, all of the servers and bartenders were also fantastic, and the food was delicious. We have gotten so many compliments from our guests that our food was better than any wedding they have ever attended. From the food to the service to the great assistance with coordination from Casey, I would not hesitate to recommend Cricket Catering to anyone looking for a full service catering company for their wedding or other special event.

    This is the second time I needed the services of a caterer and I chose Cricket Catering. Each time, I had about 25 people in my house. I have high expectations for quality of food, professionalism of the staff and choices available to me. I was not disappointed either time. I would highly recommend Cricket Catering for any event...and I will choose Cricket Catering again.

    I recently used Cricket Catering to cater our wedding. They were absolutely fantastic. From the very beginning they provided excellent service. They came to our home to provide tastings, which was a huge bonus for us as their business was a distance from our home. They were always quick to respond to my emails and answer my questions. We got many comments from our guests about how great the food was at our wedding.

    But by far the best thing that they did was to support me throughout the planning process. You see, I was a bride who did a lot, and I mean a lot, of DIY for my wedding. How many brides do you know who end up renting a cargo van to get their decorations to the venue? At times I started to think I was going a bit crazy with the amount of stuff I had taken on. Whenever I approached Cricket with some idea I was having about the wedding they were right there to support me and to help me make my ideas a reality. They helped me craft a signature drink, offered to help me set up all my home-made decorations, walked me through choosing tables and decor that matched my theme and fit the space, offered to cut and serve my home made wedding cake, helped me carry out the time-line of events for the evening, and even calmed my bridal jitters.

    They were an integral part of the success of my wedding. I couldn't have done it without them! I would highly recommend Cricket Catering to anyone in need of catering services!

    The food was amazing!!! All who attended are still talking about how much they loved the food. The servers could not have been any friendlier and professional. Casey was great to work with.     Cricket Catering did an outstanding job for a political fundraising reception I threw. The display table was beautiful, the food well-made and delicious, and the servers professional, gracious and accommodating. Cricket was also an excellent value, much less expensive than many other Main Line and Philadelphia competitors, yet of very high quality. Casey Rose worked within the campaign finance director's tight budget to develop an excellent, varied menu of passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres. The guests loved the food. I look forward to using Cricket again.

    Drew and his staff went out of their way to make our day perfect. They made sure everything went smoothly. The food was amazing. The pasta bar out of this world. People are still asking me about the food.

    We held our sorority Fall Formal at The Twentieth Century Club. Everyone had an amazing time!! The venue was great and every single staff member was more than accommodating to ensure our night went off without a hitch. The food was great, especially the mashed potatoes--they were everyone's favorite!! When we were in the planning phase for our event, the staff were extremely professional and very eager to help us with any questions we had.They made it a pleasure to figure out all of the details. Overall, the night was flawless!! Thank you to everyone at the Twentieth Century Club.

    We chose Cricket for the very important Rehearsal Dinner, which turned out to be a party for 65. What a fabulous event. Cricket has the most wonderful, friendly staff who turned our garden into a beautiful venue with absolutely delicious food. Our guests are still talking about what a lovely evening it was. Thank you so much Cricket for making this a special evening for my daughter and her husband.

    We had an amazing wedding experience with Cricket Catering. The food was as delicious as it was at the tasting, the staff was friendly and on-point throughout the day and really there wasn't anything at all that we found lacking or didn't come together perfectly. Drew was a pleasure to work with during the planning phases. I would recommend Cricket without hesitation, they were definitely the right caterer for us.

    We could not have been more pleased. The food was fabulous. Many of the guests contacted me after the wedding to comment on how delicious the food was - some of the spectacular offerings include the Cricket Chicken, the fillet and the vegetarian pasta. Drew was extremely responsive and tended to special diets including children's plates, kosher items, vegan and gluten-free. We went through many modifications and changes throughout the planning stages without a glitch. We used Cricket again the day following the wedding for a brunch and again, we were not disappointed. The lay-out was so beautiful that many guests took photos! You could not find a better choice.

    Drew and his crew did a phenomenal job on our daughter's wedding. The food was outstanding and the service was very professional and also people friendly. We especially would like to thank Maxine for doing a fantastic job on our centerpieces.

    The number one compliment I heard about our wedding was how amazing the food was. The presentation was specialized for our barn theme wedding and it was so unique and beautiful! The guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious all the food was. The service was fantastic and professional. For the price we paid, we got much more than we would have gotten with any other caterer. I can't say enough about cricket catering. If there is any question in your mind, this is the caterer to choose for your event!

    I could speak to all five areas related to my 5-star ratings for this company, who assisted my husband and me at our June 2011 wedding.
    Quality of Service: These folks go above and beyond what I would expect from a caterer. Not only did they give me a nice variety of menu options, but provided great assistance in all areas related to the festivities. We used one of their recommended venues (with valet service), DJ, and cake bakers. They really took a lot of the worry out of this occasion for us.
    Responsiveness: Wow... right on target with meeting our needs in a timely and effective way. In planning an event of this magnituded, it was so nice to have someone like Drew to consult with us, manage our expectations, and understand what we needed.
    Professionalism: Spot on! From our first meeting with Drew through the tail end of our reception. Service was friendly, courteous, and attentive.
    Value: You get a lot of "bang for your buck" with these folks. I would (and have) recommend them.
    Flexibility: Extremely! Willing to really go all out to make us feel that our day was as important to them as it was to us.
    PS: Their ice cream bar was an unusual and fun addition to this reception. 'Never would have thought to do that, but the guests raved about it!

    Drew and the staff of Cricket are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. They were flexible with our ever-changing needs leading up to the event, and were willing and able to meet all of our unique requests. My husband and I were looked after all night long, and the staff was great about anticipating our needs - preparing a plate of food for us, refreshing our drinks, etc. And the food was DELICIOUS! Our guests commented all evening on how much they loved the food. A worthwhile venture. And also very affordable - we spent $800 on an event for 100 people, plus a generous gratuity.

    They were great to work with and affordable for the style wedding we wanted. We had a cocktail reception for our wedding and the list of appetizers we had to choose from was outstanding. The food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed everything. The staff was very helpful in all our preparations but especially during the reception. Casey was wonderful to work with in planning our wedding reception. We were exceptionally happy to have had Cricket cater our wedding.

    Great and Affordable Food!

    We hired Cricket Catering for our Wedding at the Sage Farmhouse last month and Drew and his team is fantastic! His food is so good and really affordable! People are still telling me how much they liked the food, especially the salmon. We rented the chairs, tables, and linens from him as well for the ceremony and reception and he set them all up and took them all down - and there were lots of options for colors. We met with him a few times to pick out the food and were able to make requests - we didn't do a traditional cake, so Drew made us several little desserts which were a huge hit! He took notes every time we met with him based on what we talked about, and then emailed them to us, which was a great way to stay organized - I did find it easier to call instead of email when I had questions, especially during the planning. Highly recommend!

    Cricket Catering was absolutely worth the investment for our recent wedding. My husband and I booked Drew and his services before trying anyone else due to his tasting presentation and willingness to meet with us after hours due to our work schedules. Drew and his team were accommodating of our different needs and the food was FANTASTIC. I am only sorry that I did not get to try all of the appetizers because all of our guests raved about how delicious everything was. Thank you so much for a wonderful day!

    Drew and his team did an amazing job with the food for our wedding. When we first met with Drew to describe our hope to do Boston and Philly themed foods to represent our hometowns at our reception, he immediately starting helping us put together some great ideas. Drew and his team created a delicious menu for our guests, and many told us how much they enjoyed the food. The servers we worked with could not have been nicer, and we were very pleased with the results of Drew and his team's hard work. Cricket Catering was very flexible, extremely professional, and the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend Cricket Catering.

    Cricket Catering was a great choice for us. They were extremely flexible with the menu we designed our own. The food was delicious, and affordable. The staff on the day of the event were ok- they didn't clean up as much as I would have liked and they were asked to save the top layer of cake which they didn't and to wrap the bride and groom a plate up to eat later and they didn't do this either. However, they were very friendly and helpful to my guests which we appreciated!

    Cricket Catering was fantastic. We met with three Philadelphia vendors before deciding to go with Cricket and we could't be happier with our decision. Casey was amazing. She was easy to work with and very attentive to our needs. She was also extremely easy to get into touch with her throughout all planning. Our wedding day went wonderfully. The Cricket staff showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were professional, the place settings were beautiful, and the service impeccable. Drew also was present at all time (if needed), but to be honest, we never had a problem....but it was great to know he was there. Do not hesitate to use Cricket if you want a worry-free caterer, that will deliver delectable food on a beautiful table.

    The food is very, very good. I am usually ordering sandwiches and the variety of breads that are used are scrumptious, especially the tomato basil. The portions are more than generous which includes fruit, for the healthy, cookie for the sweet tooth and candy for the chocolate lover. The owner and the staff are willing to go the extra mile.

    Awesome Quality and Value!

    We were going to work with Drew and cricket catering for our special day for a fall brunch wedding concept. We had a marvelous tasting, and the quality of his food was superb - a great mix of favorites and something new on the menu. Sadly/fortunately we ended up going with a different venue that did not allow outside caters so we were not able to use Cricket, but that said, highly recommend! Free is easy to talk with, flexible and overall a great catering option for anyone looking for value and quality. His prices are stellar, but he also doesn’t skimp on the quality. Definitely recommend working with him if you have the chance!

    The event catering ran smoothly, and Cricket Catering made the day easy and enjoyable. The food was good. The transition from "ceremony" to "reception" was easy. The set-up was lovely. My only suggestion would be that there be more hors d'oeuvres clearly marked as "vegan."

    They were very responsive prior to the wedding and were incredibly patient answering my many email requests. They even accommodated a second (smaller of course) tasting to help us finalize our appetizers and sides.

    They did a great job setting up the tables exactly according to our design and the event looked amazing. They did an even better job with the cupcake tray than I could have imagined. Casey even recommended a few changes to my original design and I accepted them because her ideas were a definite improvement. The bartender even accommodated six specialized drink options we printed to match our Halloween theme.

    The only minor issue is that the appetizers they brought down to the bridal suite were missing at least one option. Also, the plates at the head table were suppose to have a little taste of everything and they were missing one of the sides. That was definitely not a big deal though as we had plenty to eat overall.

    i have never hired a caterer before and can't really compare prices. It was more expensive than I thought it would be, but the options were plentiful, the food excellent, and the service professional. At the end of the day, I left feeling that I got what I paid for.

    Overall, my guests said the food was excellent and my nephews lamented for weeks afterwards that no one at the house would bring them trays of food.

    Everything went very well with Cricket on the day of our wedding! Guests enjoyed the appetizers, bartenders were friendly and efficient, service was good, and they were even flexible to help us with our signature cocktail in the week leading up to the wedding. During the year-long planning process, we had 4 different points of contact and the transitions weren't too smooth, which was disappointing, but Jessica came on board a few weeks before and did a great job of pulling everything together.

    Great staff, good food, poor management

    Drew seems to be a great chef who employs some great people but his management style seems to leave a lot to be desired. Sage Farmhouse gave a list of only 3 approved caterers and highly encouraged us to go with Cricket, stating “biggest bang for your buck,” which seemed correct since the other 2 options were much more a la carte and the fee by Sage to select our own caterer was astronomical. In short, the food was good and plentiful with great veg options, the drinks were great, the food display was fantastic and the service staff were wonderful. They were very attentive, professional, and 2 years later we are still getting compliments on the bartender. The issues we experienced came from management, which could have been completely avoided with good communication and transparency. During the year leading up to our wedding Drew went through multiple event coordinators and did not communicate to us that they were having staffing changes so we would send an email and not get a response for a month at a time. We had a smaller than anticipated final number and told Drew this so he could plan accordingly. We had planned our seating arrangements around a certain number of tables. He showed up with one less, because we had less people, but he never told us we would have less tables so we could plan accordingly. He showed up without the signature cocktail ingredients and never told us he didn’t get them so we didn’t have one. All the tables were supposed to have the same lavender table cloths but only the long table did. Somehow, we ended up with dark purple table cloths on the cocktail tables. Again, no explanation and no apology. He had issues the morning of the wedding and showed up late, which delayed everything else. Again, never communicated that to us. It took the event coordinator at Sage and myself calling him to find out that he would be arriving an hour late. He arrived with an irritated attitude and then left once the truck was unloaded and setup without letting anyone know who would be overseeing the staff/operations. All in all, this company could be absolutely amazing but it needs substantial improvement on organization, communication and customer service. Errors and changes warrant communication, sometimes and apologies and on occasion credits/refunds. We didn’t get any of that. So, at best we can only provide a 3-star rating.

    I would not recommend Cricket Catering for your wedding. We used them and they were very argumentative and did not respond when we contacted them. The person in charge of our wedding quit the week of the wedding and the owner, Drew, was not professional. The bar tender left after the first 15 minutes of the wedding. The girl that was supposed to cut the cake said she did not know how to cut a three tier cake. The cake never got cake! The food was ok but nothing special. You would get more for your money some where else.

    First of all, please know - I do not usually write bad reviews, I am very hesitant write something that might hurt a small business, however in this case - I feel I must warn potential consumers. I wished I looked at the google reviews instead of The Knot reviews. The good news - the desserts were good, nice variety of pastries that tasted delicious. The bad news: We asked for Crudite and they changed it to Vegetable Garden Basket which apparently means fresh vegetables with grilled vegetables. The result was several guest asking if the carrots and asparagus were bad! For the Bruschetta Display there were to be 4 choices; one being carrot harriss with creme fraiche - you can see by the picture that nothing was label and there was a big bowl of creme fraiche not near the carrot harris so no one knew what was what. But this wasn't the worse of it. We also got passed hors d'oeuvres which were awful. The potato pancakes were undercooked (they tasted raw) and fell apart in your hand, the fried calamari tasted like rubber bands, the calzones had very little filling and the crispy asparagus was in puff pastry instead of phyllo. When I spoke with the owner Drew - who dropped off the food and wasn't pleasant then, he simply said it was a matter of opinion. We used them for a small party of 70 to see how they were before we hired them for a large wedding next year. Needless to say we will not be using them next year! If you are considering using them because of price - you would do better getting take out catering and hiring staff yourself.

    I used Cricket for my wedding and would not recommend to anyone! We caught his staff stealing from our bathroom baskets before the wedding even started, the staff were eating the appetizers that were supposed to be for the guests DURING the cocktail hour, the bartender was unprofessional and tried to give one of my guests the entire bottle of Whiskey from the bar during the reception (luckily my guest said “I don’t think you’re supposed to do that”), they gave us the wrong salads during dinner and the ones we received had no dressing, the dinner meat (filet) was cold, and at the end of the night his staff was trying to sleep on the chairs and took some of the centerpieces that the guests were supposed to take!! They did not live up to any of their promises and the person I had dealt with the entire time before the wedding never even showed up at the venue and I was never told a different manager would be there. There were other things too but these were the worst. I don’t want any bride/person to deal with what I had to, please use someone else, for your wedding or party.

    I had an awful experience with Cricket Catering. While Drew was very professional and made many promises at our initial tasting, right after he received our deposit he began to not return phone calls or emails. He also missed scheduled meetings, claiming he had lost his phone or must have not written it down, He always made me feel as though I was asking too much, or was bothering him while he was busy. He always told us that we would receive things (like the final bill) "in a couple of days", when in reality he had to be phoned several times, and emailed before he would respond only five days before the wedding. At the wedding its self, there were many elements missing that we had discussed, including a memorial candle for my mother that was found shoved in a office at the venue in its box, in the middle of the reception and had to be set up by family members. While the staff at Cricket that worked at the venue on the day of was very kind, they did not receive any direction from Drew as to the components of our wedding. I came away feeling awful about the whole experience and would recommend that no one ever chose him as a caterer as the owner is rude and unprofessional.
