Conner Photography was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! The way they captured our day was spectacular! They are such professionals and made every picture taken look like it should be in a magazine!! I did a lot of research on various photographers for my wedding and I ultimately chose Conner Photography. Joel and Shannon were an absolute pleasure to work with. They put us right at ease from the very start. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely at both our engagement session and wedding and that was largely in part to them. Joel & Shannon were much more than photographers through our wedding journey. They helped with so much by giving us tips for the day of to Shannon giving me reassuring words when the day started to get a little hectic. I owe this well-deserved review to Joel and Shannon - although I am quite late in writing it. Before I begin, I will mention that this box has a character limit, so this review is even shorter than what I wanted to leave...

My wife and I first met with Joel and Shannon for a consultation meeting on Columbus Day (2011) after she discovered their work on Facebook. At the time I had figured we would meet with a variety of photographers and see what options we had. We arrived at their studio in Collinsville and were treated to a very relaxed and comfortable environment where we viewed Joel and Shannon's work and ask general questions. The first thing I noticed was how fun loving and outgoing Joel and Shannon are. They love photography and had a large variety of work to share. At no point in time were we ever pressured to make a decision. We enjoyed everything so much that we never visited another photographer. We made up our mind that day.

To be honest, a lot of the details in between that time and our engagement session were a blur, but one thing I do remember is the great communication we had with Shannon leading up to that event. I also remember that were always flexible with our schedule and slowness to respond. Our engagement session was a blast and what I really enjoyed about it was that it was not strictly business. It was as if were we hanging out with long-time friends. Our session lasted two hours and then we ate dinner. Overall, it was an incredible evening and a lot of fun!

Our wedding, an even larger blur to me, was just as well. Joel arrived and took photos of myself and the groomsmen after having spent a few hours with my wife as her bridesmaids. Again, much of it was a blur but in the end their photos were fantastic. We highly, highly recommend Conner Photography and all of their services - including the photo booth!

When you plan a wedding there are about 322,000 decisions to make. Allow me to save you some time and make one for you – choose Conner Photography.
Basically you want your wedding photographers to be good at their craft, flexible with your wishes and take some of the stress out of the big day. Joel and Shannon do all of these things and then some. If you need proof of their ability, look at our album on their website. Yes Im biased and will tell you that ours is the best one there, and yes, they had my smokin’ hot supermodel wife to work with, but the fact remains that their photos are mint. There are fun, creativity and artistry in the moments Joel has captured.
So that takes care of them being good at their craft, but they are also incredibly flexible before the wedding and on the day itself. My wife and I were in Australia for the 6 months prior to our wedding. We first met the Conner’s over a Skype date across an ocean. They took time out of their evening to chat with us in Australia even though they knew this would be a logistically difficult wedding to organise (and we hadn’t even committed to going with them!). In addition to this, they communicated their style clearly, which fit in nicely with what he hoped for… but they also listened to the specifics that we wanted to be included… It all gelled brilliantly.
The wedding day was also a testament to Joel and Shannon’s work ethic, and their ability to make trying circumstances as relaxing as humanly possible. Our wedding was outside, in Missouri, in July. The temp hit 108F, Joel sweated through 2 shirts and I sweated through my wedding suit. If that doesn’t make for a difficult environment to shoot photos, I don’t know what does. But our photo session was a real laugh and the end result knocked our sweaty socks off ;)

When we got engaged there was no question about who we would have take our wedding pictures. Booking Joel and Shannon was the very first thing we did after being engaged. I’ve known Joel and his family for many years (and now Shannon too!) and I know the heart they have for photography and how much they enjoy what they do. I have always been impressed with the work they do and we weren’t disappointed when it came to our engagement and wedding pictures. Joel and Shannon made us feel so comfortable and we loved all the time we were able to spend with them. They really know what they are doing and make things run very smoothly. They put a personal touch on everything they do. Whether it’s doing a shot that is unique to you to the way that they present your pictures to you. We are so blessed to call them our friends and would recommend them to anyone. We plan on having them take many more pictures for us in the future!

The Conner Photography experience was more than we ever expected! When we met Joel and Shannon at the Gateway Bridal Show I knew I wanted them to take our wedding photos.
