Choosing The Barns at Wesleyan Hills for our wedding was hands-down the best decision we made. From the moment we signed with them, their team was there for us every step of the way. The level of service and support they provide is unmatched – you don’t just get a venue, you get a full team of experienced wedding planners who are always just a text or call away. No question was too small, and we always received thoughtful, helpful responses the same day.
The venue itself is breathtaking – rustic charm meets elegant romance. But what truly sets The Barns apart is their incredible hospitality. Our guests are still raving about the food (seriously, it was that good), and the entire day ran flawlessly thanks to their attentive, behind-the-scenes coordination.

The staff at the Barns were tremendously helpful. Although we met with various different people throughout the planning process, everyone was always up-to-date on the most recent developments. The stress of planning was significantly reduced due to the organization and attention to detail of the staff. Our day-of coordinator, Eddie, was fantastic. He was absolutely on the ball - had an answer for every question, took care of logistics smoothly, and took all the stress out of the wedding day. My wife and I were able to be truly present and not worry about any minor details day-of, which was a true gift. Would highly recommend the Barns to anyone! -

The Barns was far and away an outstanding venue for our wedding. From the initial sales tour all the way thru to the big day, every member of the team we interacted with treated us with the utmost level of care and attention to detail. Weddings are their bread and butter, but at no point did we feel like "just another wedding." Every step of the planning process was handled at our own pace, with no question too big or too small for them to answer along the way. For our wedding day itself, every staff member present did an absolutely exceptional job. From the minute we walked into the suite in the morning, our coordinator was on their A-game and kept the entire staff functioning smoothly throughout the event. The food, bar service, table service, decor, music, and the venue as a whole were all complimented wildly by all guests. If you want your guests leaving your wedding GENUINELY saying "wow, that was one of if not THE best wedding I've ever been to," The Barns is absolutely the way to go. We cannot recommend them enough! -

The Barns at Wesleyan Hills was a wonderful venue for our wedding. From the very first interaction, the staff was incredibly responsive and helpful, making the planning process easy. On the day of, everything ran smoothly, and the space itself was beautifully maintained and set up exactly as we had envisioned. The food was delicious, and our guests raved about the quality and value, especially the food, and all of the staff.!! Sean was amazing. Bar and service was incredible. Wouldn’t change a thing. I cannot say enough good things about The Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the wedding planning team there. From the very first meeting we had to look at the space, we felt like we were treated as family, and that our day would not only be special to us, but special to them as well. It was the one and only location we toured and made the choice on the spot to book with them because of how wonderful everyone we spoke to was, how beautiful the space was, and how all inclusive their services are. As someone who gets overwhelmed with a lot of tiny details and moving parts, the wedding planning team at The Barns was a dream come true. They handled EVERYTHING so I didn’t have to worry about it. They are knowledgeable, open, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure I had peace of mind. Every time I had a question, the response came back quickly and explained in a way that was easy to understand. By the time the big day was there, I was truly so at ease because the planning process had felt so calm and relaxed. We were able to just show up and enjoy our day, and know that we were in excellent hands. The space is so incredibly beautiful, and the food is OUTSTANDING. All of our guests raved about how our wedding had been the best one they had ever been to and it is not lost on us that it is all thanks to The Barns staff. Every single one of them routinely went above and beyond to ensure that our day went smoothly and was everything we could ever want. I especially have to shout out our day of event manager, Dimitri. He was amazing and so much fun to work with. He took the time to understand all the things we wanted for our big day and made sure they all happened. We also appreciated that he ensured that we had quiet time to ourselves in such a whirlwind of a day, because those became the moments that stuck out the most. He stayed late to make sure everything had gotten put into vehicles to be taken home at the end of the night and truly was the driving force that made our day so spectacular. We had our wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills on September 27th, 2025, and it was hands down the best day of our lives. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were so well taken care of—saying everything was perfect is truly an understatement.
Our day-of coordinator, Sean, was absolutely incredible. He was thoughtful, attentive, and seemed to know exactly what we needed before we even did. His calm and caring presence made the day flow seamlessly, and we couldn’t have imagined doing it without him.
The entire staff was beyond kind, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day special. The food was unbelievable, the atmosphere was an absolute dream, and every detail came together perfectly. The Barns team supported us every step of the way during the planning process, always finding time to answer questions and accommodate our needs.

This venue was my dream venue but what made it even better was they are amazing to work with. All the staff wants you to have an amazing wedding day and they work with you every step of the way. The team took everything my now husband and I wanted and turned it into a reality. I did not have to worry about a single thing the day of the wedding we told them what we wanted and they made it all come to life. Shannon, our day of coordinator and Eddie, the catering manager make sure my husband and I had anything and everything we needed from the second we stepped on the property the morning of the wedding. We are forever grateful for them, making our wedding day as magical as we wanted it to be. -

Amazing Venue!
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue! The team went above and beyond to bring our vision to life— everything looked absolutely beautiful. The food was incredible, and our guests are still talking about it! The staff were so attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire day. The only thing that exceeds CT Wedding Groups reputation is their execution. Our day was flawless. Our coordinator Mary is simply one of one. There is no one better. She was on top of everything we needed before we knew we needed it. It was no surprise to us how impeccably she did her job after working with her right hand, Eddie. They were an absolute dream team that left us wanting for nothing. Coming into our wedding day we had a very specific vision. CT Wedding Group took our vision and turned it from a reality to a living dream. There are 0 critiques, there are 0 regrets, they delivered in a way that still has our loved ones reaching out to rave about their experience. It all seemed too good to be true, but it was better. The food. The food. The food. The food. The food. The food. More than anything else we are getting non stop compliments about the food. Their culinary team was just out of this world. Our event chef Jeff delivered on a level that you can’t even find at some 5 star restaurants. This was not wedding food. This was bliss. On top of all of this was the service. I got married at the barns at Wesleyan hills the first weekend in October and it was everything I could have imagined and more. The team and quality of service was top knotch. We booked the venue when I was 7 months pregnant, and when I tell you I was not stressed at all with planning with a baby I mean it! My wedding day turned out absolutely perfect and they kept me on track the entire year. We worked mostly with Allie for our planning services and everything she recommended for us really put together our vision! Our day of coordinator was Sean and he was amazing. MUST BOOK Wedding Venue! (August 2024)
We had the time of our lives at our wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills! My love for The Barns started years ago after my sister got married there! I knew that after my sister's wedding, I had to get married at The Barns one day. That being said, I wanted to make sure my day was unique to me and my husband, and The Barns totally delivered! Our day was custom to us and SO special. The food is AMAZING, the venue (including the grounds) is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and the staff goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. Some guests and I had various food allergies/dietary restrictions and The Barns was more than happy to accommodate us (they truly cared and wanted to make sure we all ATE plenty and loved the food). We had so many guests texting us after our wedding (even notoriously tough critics) telling us what an incredible time they had at our wedding and how good the food was! I am confident The Barns is one of the best wedding venues around. When we would mention during our meetings with other vendors that we were getting married at The Barns, they sang their praises and shared their own great experiences working with The Barns as vendors ("they're amazing", "they're a well-oiled machine", "the food is so good") which was reassuring and great to hear. If you are looking to book a wedding venue where you do not have to worry about a thing except for showing up and marrying the love of your life, look no further!

I had my wedding on 4/12/2024 at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills and bottom line: The level of service you will experience here is worth every penny. If you want to be completely guided through the wedding planning process and want to be completely carefree on your wedding day, CT Wedding Group is the best place for you. For our honeymoon we stayed at the Park Hyatt in Milan and was treated to a 24/7 concierge and incredible service - I bring this up because it was similar to the care that we received throughout our wedding planning experience and wedding day. This is the best comparison I can make. All questions answered promptly and with great detail, all requests granted to the best of their abilities, and any and all comforts were thought of well in advance and provided to me on the day of.
My guests were immediately raving to me about the food, the service, and the venue, even before the night was over. Hands down, they said, it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
CT Wedding Group has wedding planning and execution down to a science. At our final appointment I had the easiest time handing over all my wedding items, briefly giving an idea of what I wanted done with them, and Lexi, our day of wedding coordinator, and the team made it all happen.
My family and wedding party loved Lexi and told me multiple times that day how amazing she was. She was bubbly and genuinely excited to be there for me that day. She was there early - I was in the onsite wedding suite at 10:00 AM and she was there not too long after, setting up the venue, and checking in on me and my bridal party. Worthy of a mention - when we arrived at the suite, it was set up with juices, champagne, and a full charcuterie board. The fridge was stocked with water bottles. The suite comfortably fit all 10 of my bridespeople (my nieces and nephews) and our mothers. I recommend getting ready onsite - so easy and Lexi was just in the other room!
The morning and early afternoon of our wedding day it rained, a LOT. They had both the inside of the venue and the outside set up for the ceremony for either scenario. I did have my heart set for outside and they made every possible effort for me to make that happen. And it did! Two hours before the ceremony, it miraculously stopped raining. The chairs were wiped down and the sun came out just in time. All of this was done with no stress for me and with many assurances by Lexi that everything would be taken care of, no matter what. Even though I opted to not use my arch, because I was worried about the windy day, they made sure to use it for photos with my wedding party and also placed it behind my sweetheart table for the entirety of the reception.
Lexi was there the whole time - after pictures were taken I was very chilly since it was windy and she, with her quick thinking, got me a hot cup of water in a disposable coffee cup to warm up my hands. It did the trick! She was there to pin up the bottom of my dress when the lining was peeking out right before I was to walk down the aisle. She coached the whole wedding party and the young flower girl and ring bearer on what to do. She bustled my dress. She got me a whole platter of the passed hor d'oeurvres and tacos from the taco station to eat privately right before the reception introductions. See? Concierge level service.
I had a fair amount of non-traditional wedding elements at play - I wanted an Escape Room themed wedding so I had a ton of elements to keep track of - individual wooden boxes for each guests that each had a unique lock, motel key chains with guests' names on it with attached keys, a countless array of signs, locked boxes and items with secret compartments that I needed hidden around the venue, special cards for the Bartenders DJ to give out to guests if the guests gave them a secret passcode (which I provided to guests on puzzle pieces in their boxes, if they put it together!). The team enthusiastically embraced my ideas and placed everything perfectly on the tables and around the venue for display. They provided all the additional decor and accoutrements to really make everything look put together and they belonged in the venue. They have all the faux candles and crates and boxes needed! The guests told me that the bartenders took their jobs as passcode keepers very seriously and had a great time playing along with them. If a guest said a passcode too loudly, they would playfully chide them, "Shhh, it's a secret!". Our friends loved it!
And the Food! The guests could not stop talking about the food! I already knew the food was amazing, but to hear that from friends and family was worth it. The Service - friends commented that it was akin to a high quality restaurant and not just a caterer. Servers checked on tables frequently during dinner service and were highly attentive. Lexi went around and introduced herself, impressing my friends further. We also had the Philly Cheesesteak Station, the Tacos and Tequila Station, and the Loaded Fry Bar and we did not regret it! All of our guests LOVED those extra food stations and commented that they were delicious! And don't even worry about how they look - each of those culinary stations are amazingly decorated.
I could go on and on about every single aspect of this day - the attention to detail, the genuine kindness from all of the staff that I encountered, the stunning beauty of The Barns... But really to see my closest friends and family just have a truly fun time was the best thing ever. CT Wedding Group at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills made all of my wedding day dreams, and silly requests, come true. -

Let me start by saying, when you know, you know!
When we toured The Barns, it was the first venue on our list to see. We had a great time meeting with Samantha to discuss what we wanted for our wedding. While there, my fiance and I took a moment to take in how gorgeous the venue was. We both agreed that it was the one for us. We canceled our other tours right away.
The Barns checked off all of our boxes, with a great venue that had a beautiful outdoor ceremony option, a barn reception, open bar, and AMAZING food.
From the very start, CT Wedding Group was available for any and all questions we had. It was such a relief to know that someone was there supporting us throughout the process.
Our details meeting with Allie really helped us solidify our wedding day dreams. She even made suggestions that ended up being a big hit at our wedding. Trust me, go with the warm beverage station!!
We had an amazing team for our day-of coordinators; Casey, Amanda, and Autumn. These ladies were on the ball! Before I could even think of something I needed, Casey was there and helping me, whether it was to maneuver my dress or to have a drink. We had the most enchanting day, thanks to the incredible team at The Barns.
Our guests couldn't stop raving over how amazing the food was or how beautiful the venue was. We had so many people tell us that our wedding was the most fun wedding they have ever been to, and maybe I'm biased but I agree! -

I don’t even know where to begin. Having our wedding at the Barns was the best decision we could have made! From the moment we stepped foot inside the venue, we were sold! I honestly don’t even know where to begin but to thank everyone at The Barns for helping us to have the most incredible wedding. The food here is truly excellent! I come from a large Italian American family who are extremely difficult to please and every single person I have spoken to since our wedding in December is still talking about how amazing all of the food was. The venue itself is stunning but the gem of this entire place is the planning team. The team at CT Wedding Group was there for every phone call, answering all of my questions no matter how big or small. They helped my husband and I create a truly unique and beautiful wedding. I would also like to give a very special shoutout to Nicole and Lexi. Nicole worked with us at our rehearsal and truly went above and beyond when she sat down on the bathroom floor and supported me as I cried my heart out to her. Lexi was our day-of-coordinator and was the glue that held the entire operation together. She handled some very delicate issues with incredible grace and was always by our sides. Best Venue Ever
It's taken me a little more than a month to write this review because i've truly been struggling to find the words to describe how PERFECT The Barns at Wesleyan Hills is!
My fiance and I found this venue about two weeks after we got engaged and it was basically love at first sight. The weeping willows, the rustic feel and most of all the staff was so attentive even at our first tour. A week later I booked it while I was on vacation in Utah because I couldn't let anyone else have the last Saturday available in October 2023. It was the best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process.
From the planning process of our check-in's and them reassuring us we're ahead of schedule and to take a deep breathe. To the months leading up and us texting the planners weekly (or daily at times) with the smallest questions and they would respond basically instantly. I don't think any other venue could compare with their communication skills.
However, I have to get to the best part. The day before and the day of. Almost every brides nightmare, it was raining. I was persistent in saying I was getting married under those weeping willows and the only other people I needed were my husband and officiant. Shelby (a goddess of a day of coordinator) was on my side and said if anyone had an issue with getting married in the rain, they can come talk to her. Sure enough, we got married in the rain and it was the most romantic wedding. If you get Shelby as your day of coordinator, thank your guardian angel because she was one of the major reasons we were stress free on our day.
Even throughout our wedding, everything was seamless. As we greeted all of our guests at their tables, Shelby followed us to make sure we didn't spend too long at one table and made sure we had a drink in hand and time to eat. Even though I only ate about half my meal (only couldn't eat the other half because of adrenaline) it was way more than I was expecting to eat.
We ended our night with a private last dance. They scooted our guests our of the big barn so quick so we had plenty of time to do our dance and to take in the whole night just us two. AND Shelby took some sneaky pics of us that made me cry the next day because I wish the night never ended. If you are between the barns and any other venue, don't be silly and pick the barns!! it was worth every single penny because of how seamless, easy and perfect our day was.

This venue checked all of my boxes and then some. We had a big wedding and this venue was more than accommodating of that. It’s rustic, charming and spacious and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous for pictures. There is a bridal suite and kitchen for use day of if you want to get ready on site. This may be obvious but CT wedding group really knows what they’re doing when it comes to weddings. The food is the best you’ll find anywhere, they have so much available for decor, and all of the staff were incredible and so helpful. Everything is so organized, and they have already thought of everything for you so you don’t have to. All you have to do is pick what you like and plan. We had such a blast at our tasting and loved working with our planners and coordinators throughout the entire process. Our wedding was so much fun and we were actually able to eat and enjoy ourselves! If I could do it all over again, I’d pick CT wedding group every time. The Barns is the absolute perfect place to get married. They literally helped us every step of the way; they helped my (then) boyfriend propose at the venue and completely surprise me, they were responsive to every question we asked, they showered us with excitement, and were so well organized. The day of, I had zero stress because they had everything covered. The guests raved about the food and how beautiful the venue was. It is worth every penny. A Remarkable Experience
From the moment we walked into The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, we knew it was meant to be. It was rustic and charming but also classy and luxurious — and it felt exactly “us.” And that was before we even met the incredible staff! Casey and the rest of the Connecticut Wedding Group made sure our day was even more magical than we could’ve hoped for. They were extremely attentive and professional, from start to finish. Of the millions of decisions we made planning our wedding, choosing The Barns at Wesleyan Hills was undoubtedly the BEST decision we made. I didn’t immediately think barn was my vibe and it was completely different than the several venues we saw beforehand but the second we stepped foot on the grounds we knew this was our venue.
The picturesque setting with incredibly memorable weeping willow trees, gorgeous waterfall, the bridge and a perfectly manicured lawn made it feel luxurious but charming as well. Our decision was only solidified by stepping foot inside into the most beautiful barn we could imagine. We fell in love with the chandeliers but loved the various decor options to really customize the space however best fits your style and vision.
Aside from how stunning the venue was the thing we’ll never stop talking about (and neither will our guests) is how INCREDIBLE the food was! Chef Steve Lisitano and the rest of the catering group provided the dining experience of our dreams from the wide array of hors d’oeuvres and stations that were beautifully displayed to a buffet that everyone loved and an unreal “Best of Everything” dessert experience.
Last but not least, a huge part of why we had the most incredible wedding day that surpassed everything we could have ever wanted was due to the support from the entire team at the Connecticut Wedding Group. A Dream!!!
We could not recommend The Barns enough! From the beginning of the planning process, the staff at CT Wedding Group was there to answer any and all questions quickly and thoroughly. They continuously checked in to ensure that we were on track with the planning process and always made us feel comfortable and confident in our decisions. Our wedding day itself was PERFECTION thanks to our day of coordinator, Lindsay, and the rest of the CT Wedding Group staff. They were there to check in on us, make sure that we ate (and had a drink in hand always), and help with any hiccups that came up in a calm and encouraging manner. The staff at the Barns was AMAZING! Shelby was our coordinator and she did an awesome job keeping all the reckless groomsmen in line. Super organized and all of the staff was on the same page.
The FOOD was some of the best we've ever had! Our guests RAVED about our food selections (we did a buffet style dinner and sundae dessert for dessert). The passed apps were a huge hit as well. Every single one of them was delicious!
We live in Arizona so planning a wedding in Connecticut was overwhelming. The Barns made planning the wedding EFFORTLESS. -

Early in the planning process I remember reading great reviews for CWG and thought to myself, “There is no way they are THAT good.” Boy, was I wrong. They really are THAT good and more. We cannot say enough amazing things about The Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the incredible members of the CWG. First and foremost, they make the wedding planning process so smooth. Throughout the first couple months after booking they held almost monthly calls with us to help us understand what tasks needed to be completed when and which vendors they suggested. They helped us take what seemed like an endless list of tasks, and break it down into manageable chunks to stay on top of. It really made the wedding planning process so seamless and stress free.
On to the wedding day- we were completely blown away by Shelby and her team. They were absolutely incredible. 100% laser focused on making sure everything is perfect, you are happy and well taken care of, the venue looks amazing, and that everyone in attendance is provided for. We never had to worry about anything knowing that Shelby and her team were on it. All of our guests remarked just how amazing the staff was- the service, the food, the decor, the EVERYTHING. I’ve never been at a wedding where the staff interacts with the guests like CWG does. Our families were blown away. Really, just an incredibly professional and thoughtful group that take what could’ve been a stressful day and just make it so easy for you to focus on enjoying your big day.
Lastly, the venue is absolutely beautiful. The rustic big barn, the amazing middle barn space, and outdoor area. It rained on our wedding day and CWG seamlessly moved the ceremony inside - what a blessing in disguise. It was breathtaking!! If you’re looking for a rustic wedding venue with an out of this world staff then the Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the CWG are exactly what you’re looking for. My husband and I could not have asked for a better venue, the Barns was PERFECT! Not only was the property gorgeous, the staff was the absolute best. Leading up to the venue, the coordinators checked in on us frequently and helped plan every last detail They recommended local vendors too, which is how I found the Green Petal for our florals and Powerstation for our DJ. My guests had an amazing time and LOVED the food! One thing we appreciated greatly was that we got to eat too!! I always heard how couples end up not eating much on their wedding days because of how fast paced everything is, but our coordinator made sure we got our drink and food in so our day was that much better. Special shout out to Shelby for making sure everything ran super smoothly! My husband and I adored her and got so lucky to have her by our side all day. Also thank you to the staff for helping get our guests inside to the AC after the ceremony and accommodating them (it was 90+ degrees and sweltering), they really appreciated that as well! The Barns was the perfect choice for our wedding, if we got married all over again, we would choose The Barns again and again. Thank you to the whole team, our most important day turned out to the the most perfect day. We appreciate you all and can't recommend you enough. The most perfect experience
Choosing The Barns at Wesleyan Hills is a no-brainer. First of all, it was the first venue I visited and actually the only one, because the second I walked in I immediately knew it was the one. It's completely stunning indoors and outdoors. I could go on for hours about it's beauty but what really made this venue special was the staff. My first meeting was with Jessica, she was kind, accommodating, and so helpful. Then throughout the planning process, the planning team got us through it step by step with so much ease. They were right there with us every step of the way and helped us plan to most perfect wedding. Seriously, the most stress-free experience. Wedding day, we could not have gotten any luckier to have Jenna and Camille as our day-of coordinators. I can't even put into words how incredible these two women are. They used their creative expertise to decorate the venue even better than I envisioned. Every last detail was perfect. They made sure that we always had a full drink in hand, ate a full dinner, and got to enjoy every single cocktail hour snack. They made sure we stayed on schedule and seriously did not miss a beat. The day was seamless, zero hiccups, and we got to actually be present and enjoy it because of them. I could write an essay about how great they were.
Overall, the entire wedding experience with this wonderful group was perfect and I don't have a single negative thing to say. Please do yourself a favor, choose The Barns! -

Working with CT Wedding Group and the Barns staff was an absolute dream! They made the wedding planning process EASY. Best Day Ever!!
Where do I begin!? The Barns was amazing from the first day we did our tour all the way up until our wedding day!!! My husband and I have 3 children, and I’m in nursing school full time, so adding a wedding to plan to the list was very overwhelming! The staff at the barns was FANTASTIC! I had to worry about NOTHING! I would get emails every time something was due, with a ton of suggestions in those emails to help me, and if I needed more than that someone was always a phone call away!! Fast forward to wedding day, the whole day was just perfect! The bridal suite was everything we needed to get ready and we had a lot of girls (16 of us)! Our coordinator!!! Shelby, she’s just simply amazing 💙💙 I worried about nothing, she would tell me where I needed to be and when I needed to be there! She made sure I was always happy, always had a drink in my had , and that the night was perfect!! They made my and my husband's wedding day an absolute dream come true and they also made sure we had drinks in our hands and food in our stomachs. We actually sat and ate our dinner, thanks to Jenna. The most amazing day, beyond exceeded our expectations!
My husband Brian and I are still over the moon with how amazing our wedding was this December at the Barns!
From the first meeting we had over a year ago, to the day of, Lexi and the staff were nothing but great! They were so helpful throughout the whole planning process. Responses were timely, suggestions were realistic and helpful, and accommodations were made. Everyone warns you how challenging planning a wedding can be… but honestly having the CT Wedding Group from day one made this process nothing but fun for Brian and I! We felt overwhelmed with the constant support we had from the group and the staff at the Barns.
Lexi and the rest of the staff made our day so smooth and just the most magical day ever. We had expectations of how we wanted the day to go, and those expectations were beyond exceeded. Lexi was constantly rounding on us and our families to ensure all of our needs were met. The staff made all of our guests feel welcomed and taken care of. There is absolutely nothing that we felt was missing or done incorrectly. There is nothing more we could have asked for. True professionals
The Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the experience of working with the staff of the Connecticut Wedding Group was unbelievable! My day-of coordinator was Cate and she anticipated all of our needs before we even knew we had them. The venue is gorgeous, but the staff are true professionals and want your wedding day to be exactly what you've always imagined. It felt like such a weight off of our shoulders knowing that they knew what they were doing and wouldn't let us forget anything important. Our wedding day was just amazing, but like any wedding little things happen that are out of your control. My florist was supposed to bring flowers for my arch and forgot. I noticed this maybe an hour before the ceremony started and mentioned it to Cate to see if the florist had said anything about it. All Cate did was ask for the florist's number and what color flowers they were supposed to be. When it came time for the ceremony, not only were there white and orange flowers on the arch like I had imagined, but there were orange rose petals all down the aisle. After the ceremony, I asked Cate if her team had ran out to get the flowers, because I had a sneaking suspicion, and she reluctantly admitted that they did. I guess when she called our florist, they said that they weren't coming back to the venue to bring the arch flowers, so Cate and her team went above and beyond to do that for us without saying a word. There were so many other little things that they did for us that made the day smooth and enjoyable, I couldn't possibly mention them all. I will say, having Cate bring my husband and I into the bridal suite after pictures and handing us drinks and a platter of all of our cocktail hour food was something we were so grateful for. She encouraged us to take 10 minutes together to eat and take it all in for a bit, and we really cherished that time to be present with one another before the craziness of everyone pulling us in every direction at our reception. We can't thank the staff enough and to say that we were impressed is an understatement. They know exactly what needs to happen to make a wedding day flow and be enjoyed by all!! The Barns made for the PERFECT wedding! I feel like I could right a short novel about our time planning with the Barns, so I'll really try to just highlight the best parts. From the first tour until leaving our wedding night, the Barns just know what they're doing! They think about things you won't even think about. They stagger planning emails throughout the months leading up to your wedding, planning linens, design, food, ceremony, etc. This way, it's not overwhelming all at once, and they're with you every step of the way.
The "tasting" is a whole date night! You mingle with couples getting married during your season, share stressors, meet chefs, servers, and planners, and get to try all the bells and whistles for your day.
The barns themself are MAGICAL. If you're looking for a rustic venue to showcase its natural beauty, or glam up the place-this is it!!! The outside fields ended up being too wet from the rain, so we had to move our ceremony inside. However, THIS WAS SUCH A BLESSING IN DISGUISE! The added bistro wall with flowers and the circle arch made for a
backdrop like no other!!
I HAVE to mention their exceptional communication & service. The waitstaff is by far trained by god, I'm sure of it. So many guests commented on how fast dinner disbursement was and how table side help was always present.
ALL of the staff made such a positive impact on us. Like literally everyone. I can go on and on. Day of coordinators were Jenna & Autumn and they were such a power couple! No complaints at all with them. Everyone kept saying this was the best wedding ever.
We even dragged some of the wait staff onto the dance floor at the end of the night to show that they had become so much more than "staff" to us.
I have to mention the $$$$, right? That's what everyone wants to know. All I'll say about that is we have no regrets. You get one day to make it about you and your honey. And we truly did throw the party of our lives. We planned 1 & 1/2 years out and budgeted and made it work!

From the first communication I had with the Barns I was blown away. You don't think about how much help you need this high level of support until you are in the thick of planning a wedding for 180 guests. My amazing team kept me on track, answered questions I didn't even know I needed, and kept me calm and collected on multiple occasions.
You think you know good wedding food until you get to experience the culinary sensation the Barns offers. We we first blown away at our tasting, which was actually a mock wedding for all spring bride and grooms. It was the best time, I was so full with the most delicious apps and main courses. Every single guest I talked to at/after the wedding went on and on about how unbelievable the food was.
I will recommend the CT Wedding Group to every bride and groom searching for the perfect venue. Thank you all for your hard work and making my perfect day possible!

BEST Decision We Made!
I’m not sure we can put all our love and appreciation for the group at the Barns. Hiring them was truly one of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning process!! Not just because of the gorgeous barn or the amazing seasonal catering menu (SERIOUSLY THOUGH), but because of the wedding planning services that come with it and the HELP and support they offer!
My husband and I were very budget focused and worried about the Barns being a financial reach. However, when we met with their team, the first thing they did was help us build a budget that fit our needs without compromising our vision. They made our priorities THEIR priority, and always checked in about whether a decision felt okay for our budget and needs. We worked with the team for a bit under a year, and we thanked the universe for Jessica, Mary Beth, Samantha, Allie, and co. on at least a weekly basis (and multiple times a day during the last 2 months!!). They put us in touch with vendors who were within our budget. They gave us pragmatic advice (“don’t bother with ___;” “focus on getting ___;”), helped us problem-solve issues big and small, and supported us through multiple contingency plans as COVID got trickier and trickier during the winter. This group has been pulling off weddings for a million years so, when we had a worry, their confidence, calming nature, and their sound recommendations helped us move forward. They’ve done it all, seen it all, and heard it all, and you get to benefit from their wisdom as you’re planning your own wedding!
Their wisdom alone was worth every penny; however, what was the most critical element of their amazingness was their drive to make OUR vision THEIR goal. My husband and I had a bit of a “complicated order” re: wedding planning. We are a bicultural couple and wanted to make our wedding a bicultural celebration of our new nuclear family… and boy, were they EXCITED about helping us do this! They asked us about Venezuelan and American customs, important people in our families who needed special attention (my abuela!), traditional foods, and everything in between. They thought about absolutely EVERYTHING and were sensitive to our priorities the entire time.
By the time our wedding week came around, our mental health was pretty much (safely) in their hands. The Planning Team was responsive and encouraging and comforting and REMINDING us about the amazingness that was about to happen. They helped us keep our “eye on the ball,” so to speak. They took care of ALL the coordination with food (again, omg THE FOOD), the entertainment, the speeches, service, and even drop-off and pickup of our personal touches. Shelby, who is quite possibly the best day-of coordinator that ever lived, made sure our day went without a hitch and that every corner of our 6 hours with them was filled with laughter, joy, and moving along an unspoken timeline! It also didn’t hurt that every time we turned, Shelby had a drink for me and Geoff to sip on in between greetings or photos =) Because of this team, we have nothing but INCREDIBLE memories of our wedding day. There were zero hiccups during our time at the Barns, and we still have guests raving about the food, the service, the gorgeous candle-lit barn, and – you guessed it – Shelby. Because she befriended everyone in our family, proactively addressed any challenges, and made sure everyone we love was having as good a time as we were. This group deserved all the standing ovations in the world for the work that they do, and they are good at it because they put their hearts in their work. It was an honor to have our wedding at the Barns, and we truly could not recommend them enough. THANK YOU TEAM, for everything!!!

After having a horrible experience with a previous wedding venue walk-through, the day before we met with The CT Wedding Group, my wife Mariana and I felt certain that all venues thereafter would be the same experience. We arrived with our guards up ready to go to battle, that is, until we met Jessica. Within minutes, my wife and I sighed with great relief. She was the breath of fresh air we needed to get back on track. She was so attentive with our needs and questions. We left the first meeting feeling refreshed and excited for our wedding!
At the winter menu tasting event they held at The Pavilion at Crystal Lake, we were introduced to several other teammates who were equally, if not more excited to work with us. It was an indescribable feeling my wife and I shared… As if our own best friends were planning our wedding themselves! We were excited to try the food and cocktails knowing the on-site Executive Chef curates these seasonal menus, tweaking things here and there to keep it fresh and exciting. This was something I personally appreciated because it gave us a lot of options to work with. He was happy to work with us to include some appetizers from my wife’s Venezuelan culture. This was one of our biggest selling points to stay with them; the ability to work with us on every step allowing us to weave in our cultures into a beautiful celebration. We wanted our day to be special in every way possible and they always took the time to listen whenever we needed something.
There’s a lot of notable moments with the CT Wedding Group that I must share because it certainly made a difference for us as it could for other couples in the future… 1. They held us 100% accountable for the schedule while guiding us and checking in on progress. I can’t express this enough how vital this support is when you’re swimming in wedding to-dos! 2. They’re organized, informative, and great communicators! We’d always have an answer within one business day. No waiting, no stressing, no what-ifs. They eliminate all the guess work for you and make sure you’re happy with everything involved! 3. This entire team works together like a well-oiled machine. Like elves on Christmas Eve getting all the right details in place and doing it with a smile the entire time. They’re truly masters of their craft resulting with you feeling like royalty throughout the whole process.
On our wedding day, Shelby was our coordinator for the day. She’s out-of-this-world amazing! During the entire reception, she made sure my wife and I were fed well and had drinks the entire time. One of my favorite moments was when my wife and I were outside by the pond taking picture with our photographer we see Shelby coming over with a tray of cocktails for us! Shelby was on top of everything; always checked in with us during the night to ensure food was sent out as needed and we had enough time to dance. While Shelby’s company and staff along with the food and drinks was great as they were, we had one more factor that took it over the top… Confetti cannons! You must get the confetti cannons!
I know there’s so much I’m missing and people I’m forgetting to mention, but I know I could easily write a novel about this team (I must stop somewhere!) My wife and I are incredibly grateful to The CT Wedding Group for their exceptional skills and effort they put forth into our Venezuelan-American wedding! To this day, a month plus after our wedding, our guests STILL rave about the food and décor! It’s no surprised the number of awards and praises you receive for the outstanding work you’ve done over the years, including ours. I would do it all over again!
If I could give The Barns At Wesleyan Hills more than 5 stars I would! From the moment we toured the location we knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding there. We first met with Jessica who showed us around the venue, answered all of our questions and made us feel welcomed and excited! Through out the planning process I had the pleasure of working with Mary-Beth, Jenna and a few other wonderful women who helped us navigate our COVID date change with ease, and always made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with, even though there were plenty more. The team helped bring our wedding to life, and the results exceeded all expectations. I simply shared examples of my vision and they utilized their creativity and worked with our vendors to bring that vision to life. If anything went wrong day of - I had no idea about it! The venue and grounds are both charming and beautiful. We turned the bridal suite into a lounge, so our guests had three rooms to move freely throughout and mingle. The main barn and dance floor is small, and it's definitely a more intimate venue, but if that is what you are looking for, this is your spot. We had about 170 guests and I wouldn't personally recommend any more. It felt like the perfect amount for that space. All in all, my guests were blown away by the venue. The grounds are picturesque making for the perfect back drop for your wedding photos, and the food and drinks are to die for. I have never had such delicious food at a wedding venue. Our guests talk about the food to this day! From the savory appetizers, to beautifully plated dinners and decadent desserts I was so pleased with every thing I ate. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. The barns truly made our dreams come true. I wish every day that we can relive the experience. everything was perfect and I am not lying when I say that. My guests have been talking about it since October - the grounds, the food, the experience. Kayla, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely incredible. She took care of absolutely everything and kept me sane. I cannot thank them enough for being such an important part of life and literally giving us the dream wedding. -

Going into our wedding, we were always told that something would inevitably go wrong the day of. This didn't happen for us, thanks to the amazing staff at The Barns. Our coordinator Shelby took care of everything down to the smallest detail (she took our drink order at our final appointment and met us at the end of the aisle with a drink after the ceremony!!) and by the end of the night she felt more like a friend than a vendor. Thanks to her and the rest of the wonderful people at The Barns, we were able to be in the moment enjoying our wedding without worrying about schedule or details.
The greatest part of our experience with The Barns wasn't even on the wedding day, but rather the months leading up. Their communication was absolutely unmatched throughout our entire time working with them. They were 100% accommodating when it came to our Covid postponement, responded to every email within 48 hours, and were always enthusiastic about connecting with us for calls and appointments, making us feel like their only clients each time.
We could not be happier with our experience, and strongly recommend The Barns at Wesleyan Hills for anyone looking to have a seamless wedding experience from first booking until the last dance! -

CT Wedding Group and all of the staff at the Barns did the most incredible job both with helping us plan our wedding and making it run smoothly the day of. They were very flexible and helpful when we had to postpone due to COVID-19, and they guided us every step of the way. The venue is so beautiful and looked perfect on our wedding day, and our guests are still raving about the food over a month later. I would recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding in CT!
