I could not be more thrilled that we chose Erica & Clean Plate Pictures. From the engagement session (where Erica and her assistant agreed to let us drag them all the way to an apple orchard upstate despite a rainy weekend) to pre-wedding meetings and the day of the wedding, Erica and her colleagues made my husband and I feel very at ease. She truly cared that we were comfortable in front of the camera and would be getting the pictures that we wanted. All of our pictures were posted in exactly the timeframe that Erica promised and we were thrilled with the editing. We added a photobooth at the last minute and absolutely recommend this - Erica's photobooth is not enclosed and allowed for a really fun environment where big groups of people could take pictures. We've just gotten all of our pictures and they are stunning - if you like the look of the photos on the website, give Erica a call - she is wonderful to work with, the price is right, and your lasting memories will be incredible.

Clean Plate Pictures and Clean Plate's principal, Erica, did an amazing job for our wedding. She was communicative, informative, and friendly at every step of the process. She's a very talented and hardworking photographer. She quickly switched through her vast array of cameras/lenses (I believe she had five camera bodies at our wedding) to shoot in a wide variety of different settings and lighting conditions: outdoors in a surprise snowstorm, back-lit, bright sunshine, and candlelight. She didn't miss a moment and captured the essence of our wedding, our guests, and our feelings on that day perfectly. And she, her second shooter, and her lovely assistant were a pleasure to work with throughout the day.

After the wedding, Erica has been great too. She put up five teaser pictures on Facebook within days of the wedding, and then sent us all the pictures (and added about 125 of the best to her blog: http://www.cleanplatepictures.com/blog/) about two months later.

I've participating in weddings where the photographers were pushy, cheesy, and/or obtrusive, and whose work product was disappointing. Clean Plate pictures is the exact opposite. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and I cannot recommend Erica highly enough.

Erica did an amazing job with shooting our wedding! We had a very specific idea of what we wanted for our wedding photos and were quite particular about making sure that we ended up with someone who had a focus on more natural shots (nothing overly posed). Our wedding venue recommended Erica/Clean Plate and she was exactly what we were looking for and we could not be happier with how the pictures have turned out!

We met with Erica several months before our wedding and she was incredibly, helpful, patient and responsive in addressing all of our questions. She was the first photographer we had met with and after talking through with her what we wanted for our wedding pictures we decided there was no need to look any further; it was an excellent match!

From there working with her was incredibly easy, smooth and straightforward. She is very clear about what to expect and listened carefully to what we wanted. She captured tons of fabulous pictures and was very sensitive to the fact that getting your picture taken constantly is not always the easiest or most comfortable position to be in (or, at least not for us). By the end, we both had relaxed significantly thanks to the ease of Erica and her assistant and some of our favorite shots from that day ended up being ones that are technically posed, though she still manages give everything a natural look that reflected us.

Erica at Clean Plate Pictures was recommended to us by our wedding venue. As soon as my fiance and I saw the pictures on her website, we fell in love and booked immediately. We met up with Erica a couple weeks before the wedding to go over everything and scout out the area for fun shots. Erica was so friendly and easy to talk to and get along with. On the day of our wedding, Erica and her assistant (we signed up to have 2 photogs) were both great and so easy to work with. They made everyone comfortable and the photos came out incredible. Erica was FANTASTIC! We loved our photos and she was terrific to work with. From the very first meeting I trusted her instincts and with minimal direction she captured everything we wanted that day. She was flexible and patient during the group shots and gave us creative suggestions. During the ceremony and reception I wasn't even aware she was shooting me until I later saw all the great moments she captured. The photo booth option was also one of the best quality machines I have seen at any wedding (no waiting, great prints, amazing quality) and it was one of our guest's favorite things to do. Erica is a fantastic person to work with and an excellent photographer. She was friendly and professional right from the start. She was patient with me when I was running super late during our engagement shoot and still managed to capture gorgeous photos despite the fading/limited daylight. Erica, her second photographer, and her assistant were all so wonderful! Erica was super flexible and worked with me to create a personalized package and was really easy to connect with via email and phone. The quality of her photos is phenomenal and the quantity is superb. She captured every little aspect and every big moment of our wedding. Our wedding was in the morning so she had to get an early start and she was super willing to travel to us that early! She was fun to work with (my husband and I aren't all that comfortable getting our pictures taken) and really captured the essence of the day and who we are. I would highly recommend her!!

Erica and her Clean Plate team did a beautiful job for our vineyard wedding. She captured every beautiful moment including all our crazy dance moves and sparkler send off into the wee hours of the night.

The Clean Plate photo booth was probably the biggest hit and I couldn't believe I almost didn't have it! She was able to share the booth photos right after the wedding and it was the best surprise after coming back from our honeymoon. People are still talking about them several months later.

Our family loved our all the photos and kept commenting on how "so us" they were. I'm not sure how many photographers are capable of capturing such beautiful moments in such a whirlwind of a day but Erica and Anna managed to do that and much more.

there are really no words to describe how professional and wonderful erica and her team were to work with for our wedding. from the very first inquiry to the day after email about what to expect erica was so communicative, which is really important to me. i knew from the moment i saw her website that we had to have her do our wedding. every picture is perfectly touched capturing the moment in a most romantic way. before the wedding we emailed a few times and met in person to go over different sites that would be good for our first look photos and bridal party pictures. she had wonderful ideas and really listened to what we wanted as well.

the day of the wedding erica and her team were amazing. everyone was so easy, sweet and fun to be around! it was terribly hot that day, but erica and anna were so positive and encouraging while we took pictures outdoors. they reassured me and comforted me as i was becoming overwhelmed by the heat. my bustle broke during the first ten minutes and anna so lovingly fixed it, which saved me from having to beat up my friend who stepped on it. during the evening erica noticed my grandfather and came up to me and asked if we would like a picture together. it is something that i never would have thought of during the evening and it really meant so much to me that she noticed. not only in the big details, but also the small she is a true professional.

i could really go on and on about how great erica and her team are. from the very beginning i knew that our wedding photos were in great hands. i can't wait to see our pictures! i have no doubt that they will be beautiful!

Erica was absolutely wonderful to work with on our wedding day. She is so creative and talented and made the posing as fun and non-awkward as possible. Our pictures turned out fantastic and I get so many compliments with many people saying "Those are the best wedding pictures I've ever seen" or "darn, I wish I'd had such nice pictures from my wedding." I recommend Clean Plate Pictures 100%. I have received so many compliments on our wedding pictures! Erica and Anna were a complete delight to work with on our wedding day. They were calm, flexible, courteous and fun. They were able to capture the feeling and emotion of the day in a way I've never seen before. Every time I look at the pictures I am taken back to that very happy day and almost feel like I'm reliving it thanks to how authentic and candid the pictures are.

I found Erica on Yelp and was pretty much sold just from looking at the pictures on her website. The pictures looked interesting because they seemed to capture moments and not just people, and a lot of the pictures had funky backdrops which by themselves often seemed a little rough and odd, but then made perfect sense with a couple in it. My future husband and I met up with Erica and pretty much booked her right away
We got exactly what we hoped for. We first did an engagement shoot in Williamsburg and Dumbo several months before the wedding which gave us plenty of material for our wedding invitations. Apart from the standards with all the classic Dumbo settings Erica really showed her gift for the unique picture. There was one shot on a decidedly unpretty corner in Williamsburg that had a weird old man walking by us in the picture. You would think that's a picture that goes right into the garbage, but for some reason it's one of my favorite ones.
And then the wedding: The pictures were spectacular. My least favorite ones, if there were any, were actually the standard group pictures with the families. They were fine, but this isn't where Erica shines the most. Her strength is to move around, find and capture all these little fun and touching moments that will tell the story of the day. My husband and I have looked at the pictures since the wedding many times, and every time it really is like reliving the day.
Oh, and the photo booth! I can only recommend getting it, it was so much fun! We bought props at the Party store beforehand for it, our guests really went wild and we have tons of crazy pictures (the most popular prop turned out to be an inflatable monkey). We had our guest book next to the photo booth and had everyone put in one of the two strips that come out from every shot.
Overall: Erica is a total pro, super-creative, fun to work with, reasonably priced - we couldn't have been happier.

While I'm still waiting for the final photos, I can speak to Erica's enthusiasm, professionalism, and flexibility. I particularly liked:
1. That we met up two weeks before the wedding, just so she could check in and get to know us better.
2. Even when things were getting stressful, and time was running short, Erica was friendly, professional, and committed to taking great photos.

Erica was absolutely amazing. She was completely professional, yet so friendly at the same time. She made me feel at ease when taking the pre-wedding photos, which I really appreciated. And I cannot say enough about the photos themselves. Our wedding and reception were in a relatively small space, and she and her team managed to capture so many special moments throughout the evening. Opening Erica's email with all of our pictures was like opening a present. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was amazing to work with, and I only hope that we have the opportunity to work with her again.

Erica and her team shot our wedding at Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo, NY. We spent so much time looking for a photographer that my eyes were crossed from looking at websites. When we stumbled upon Erica's website and then spoke with her, we knew she would do a wonderful job. Leading up to the wedding she was professional, friendly, organized and communicative. We never had a doubt that we were in good hands, and so, when it came to the day, we let her take the lead. She had great ideas about where to take photos in the neighborhood, and the photos were stunning and creative.
