Working with Clean Plate Pictures - Becks and our second photographer, Lee! - was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They kept our nerves in check, held to our schedule, reminded us of things that we'd discussed, and really helped us to capture the overwhelming joy and emotion of the whole day - from intimate wedding ceremony to wedding party portraits to reception to exuberant dancing. Love love love

As a couple who never had professional photos taken before and were nervous about hiring a photographer--investing in photography for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Erica is such a a pro. It's not just the quality of her compositions and her understanding of light and the beautiful editing and her ability to capture life and movement--its also her ability to cue you as a couple and help subtlety direct your wedding day. Having a pro like Erica there for your wedding brings you so much peace and ease. She knows how all things wedding works. She knew how to direct the day and keep us on schedule while working efficiently to capture all the pictures we wanted. Erica helped us with so many details--from helping my husband pick out the right color socks for our wedding day to pinning on his boutiner. She gently--yet efficiently--coaches you on how to pose to look your best and helps you relax during your couple photos. During our reception, she was always following the energy in the room and positioning herself to capture the most breathtaking and charming candids. We've only received our teaser photos from Clean Plate Pictures but we would honestly be overjoyed with our wedding pictures if these were all the images we had from our wedding day. The people who have seen our teaser pictures all say that these are the best wedding photos they're ever seen. We highly, highly recommend Erica and her team.

Fantastic Photographer!

Erica and Lee were incredible photographers for our wedding day! Erica is super organized with payment plans, details, and questionnaires leading up to the event. Both, Erica and Lee, were warm and welcoming the day of our wedding. They made posing in front of the camera easy with their guidance and encouragement. We've only seen a sneak peek so far of our photos, but we already LOVE what we see and can't wait to see the rest! We would HIGHLY recommend hiring Clean Plate Pictures for your event!

The best decision!

Hiring Erica (and Lee!) for our big day was truly the best decision we made. They not only kept our timeline on track but kept the spirits high when it was POURING during our pictures and ceremony. We honestly could not have had our wedding without them. They were super helpful on the actual wedding day and our sneak peak pictures are to die for. I feel like wedding pictures are usually so cheesey and posed but Erica and Lee really captured the energy of the day. I would 10000000% use them again and have already urged my new sister in law to book with them :)

Best Photographer in the Business!

Stop searching for photographers and hire Clean Plate Pictures! We had the absolute best experience working with Erica and her team. Every shot that they took is frameable! We didn’t have a videographer and with Erica’s photos, we don’t regret it at all. Our wedding album looks like it should be in a bridal magazine.

My husband and I had never done professional pictures before and she posed us perfectly. She gave such good directions and made the process very easy and enjoyable. There weren’t any awkward poses. We both have very big families and coordinating them is like herding cats. Erica was able to get all of the shots that we asked for with ease. She took control of the situation and got everyone where they needed to be. The whole family photo process was quick and painless.

In addition to her amazing photography skills, she is extremely kind and professional. We really enjoyed getting to know her. She was always quick to respond to our emails and giving us back the finished photos. If I ever need a professional photographer again, I won’t hire anyone other than Clean Plate Pictures.

Trust me when I say you will regret hiring any photographer other than Clean Plate Pictures!

Clean Plate will set you at ease

If you are the least bit uncomfortable having your picture taken, hire Clean Plate Pictures. My husband and I do not like being photographed, but Erica is so calm, smart, and good at what she does that I didn't have to think or overanalyze what I looked like. And our photos are gorgeous--you can't tell how nervous we were that day!
I could tell off the bat that Erica was very good at her job. I felt cared for during our video calls, and she made a thorough and thoughtful shot list for all of our various portraits. While I felt I knew Erica well by the time of the wedding, I met the second photographer on the big day. I felt comfortable with Lee right away, he was a joyful presence!
Erica and her team know when to be sentimental, but they also know when to get down to business and just make your uncles stand still for a family shot. And their pictures (which now cover our apartment walls) are clear, clean, bright, and beautiful. I will love these photos forever!

Timeless and professional photos!

Clean Plate Pictures shot our wedding on April 9th, 2022 and we couldn't be happier with how the day went! Elle and Kait were our photographers, and they were great! In addition to being fantastic photographers, they're lovely people to be around and they kept everything relaxed during the lead-up to the wedding. Clean Plate Pictures recently shot our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. Erica was super organized and professional in organizing all the details. Elle and Lee were the photographers and knew exactly how to pose us so that we'd look natural. Their compositions and Erica's editing were top notch. Simply the best!

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Erica is! Erica was the first vendor we booked after our venue. We knew exactly what we wanted our pictures to look like, and Erica's pictures were it. Her style is incredible. We wanted mainly candid pictures and limited staged pictures. Erica was so patient and flexible with us with our many changes due to COVID. We changed venues and dates multiple times and she always worked to accommodate us. We had a call a few months prior to the wedding to go over timeline, pictures, etc. and Erica helped us so much with everything. She had suggestions that far exceeded the photography! She was explaining to us the importance of being comfortable in our outfits and inspired my wife to change her outfit completely from her dress to a jumpsuit instead. She felt so much more herself on our wedding day thanks to Erica! On the day of our wedding, Erica worked seamlessly to get all of the pictures we wanted. When we got our album, we were completely blown away. She captured our day perfectly. We could not have asked for better pictures. We also ordered a lot of other things from Erica's websites such as prints and metal prints and everything came out amazing. Erica also did our album which we received in the mail last week. It is laid out so well and really high quality. It's so fun having an album to look back on! Erica is truly one of a kind. Thank you for everything!!

Unique and perfect photos!

Erica is the absolute best. She's incredibly talented, and all of her photos are beautiful and totally unique. Due to COVID postponements, we were lucky enough to hire her twice—first for our tiny, private, COVID-safe ceremony in December 2020, and then again for our bigger celebration in March 2022. At both events she perfectly understood our personalities and styles, and expertly directed us to get knockout photos that we are obsessed with. She went particularly above and beyond to shoot our ceremony—we originally asked her to just shoot some portraits outside because of COVID, but then she researched the Airbnb listing we were at and figured out a way to photograph our ceremony with a long lens from the back window! She is a total professional who makes everyone feel comfortable, and she was so fun and easy to work with throughout the (two year!) process. Definitely hire her!

A comfortable and curated experience!

Erica is an absolute dream to work with. She got to know my husband and I during our engagement photoshoot. My husband and I were pretty uncomfortable with the idea of having a day where all eyes were on us, and yet she made the whole experience so comfortable and helped us overcome our awkward fears. She was fantastic at giving subtle direction to capture just the right moment. She also helped navigate a rainy day in Central Park for the shoot, helping to hold umbrellas and working to avoid downpours to keep my hair and makeup decent (bless her!)

After our engagement shoot, we consulted with her on our wedding day, the schedule, the 'must haves' on our photo list and that we were mostly hoping to capture us and our guests having a great time dancing.

Erica came prepared and flexible as changes arose in pre-wedding shoot venues. She had a great eye, stopping us occasionally in front of cool buildings/graffiti in Williamsburg to take portrait and couples photos. She moved quickly through all of the 'must haves; she knows what she is doing and is efficient!

Additionally, I (stupidly) did not prepare her that I would have a gown change during the evening; regardless, she was ready to capture my 're-entry'. She was truly there at all of the right moments without feeling invasive at all.

She was also extremely patient with my mother, who suffers from dementia, giving small and clear adjustments to avoid my mother being confused or overwhelmed.

We just received our photos from the wedding day, and wow... they are stunning. My husband and I agreed that we would be happy if we had a handful of good ones, but we are astonished by how much she was able to capture so beautifully! We are simply blown away by the photos and memories she's been able to provide us.

Completely fantastic experience with Clean Plate

Going into my wedding, the photos were something that I was the most worried about getting right since I'm someone who's really never loved the way I usually look in pictures. We hired them to do engagement photos as a trial and they just nailed it. Besides being on time and professional, Erica was friendly, easy to get along with, knew the area (Prospect Park), and had fabulous ideas for spots to shoot that I never would've thought of. The photos came out great.

At our wedding, they were so on top of things, offering a bit of guidance where we needed it (don't rush down the aisle, how to angle ourselves during the cake so people could see us) and totally blending into the party otherwise. The ceremony shots were beautiful even though I was worried they'd be tricky to capture on a technical level since we had some sun behind us. Their action shots during the party were SUPERB and caught everyone at their best, happiest moments.

We also shot photos on the roof of our venue with the skyline in the back, and I have no words for them besides stunning.

Looking back on all of them just brings me so much joy and that means everything to me.

Beautiful photography and impeccable client service

My husband and I decided to hire Clean Plate Pictures because we fell in love with their joyful style of photography, and they did not disappoint. Erica and her team did an amazing job of capturing all of the special moments of our wedding and delivering an artistically beautiful but also 100% genuine portrayal. Erica and her team also provided thoughtful and dedicated client service from the beginning to the end. They offered suggestions on where to do our engagement photo shoot, helped us plan our day-of wedding schedule, coordinated directly with our other vendors so that we had less to deal with, answered all of the many questions that my husband and I had, and made the process smooth and stress-free in a million other ways. We also loved that Erica provided teasers the day after the wedding and then again in a couple of weeks, while we were waiting for the full gallery and album to be ready for viewing. That was an unexpected and wonderful bonus that helped us relive the magic from our wedding day while the memories were still fresh in our minds. Erica and her team have a great understanding of what an exciting but hectic experience a wedding can be, and they provided an experienced and steady hand that was invaluable. Thanks to Clean Plate Pictures, my husband I were able to fully enjoy our wedding and not have to worry about anything else, and we have a beautifully curated wedding album that we will treasure.

Amazing Wedding Photographer

The best experience!

I cannot say enough good things about Erica and the Clean Plate team (Elle). They photographed our May 2019 wedding at the Brooklyn Winery. Just a few days later Erica sent us a bunch of beautiful “sneak peak” photos to hold us over until the full album was available, and each one was more stunning than I could have imagined. Throughout the entire process Erica was knowledgeable (she was able to give me so much guidance and support for making a “day of” schedule and picking locations for photos), warm (it’s a stressful time and it makes it so much easier to work with such kind people), and professional (she takes her role so seriously and clearly prioritized our happiness and made sure we would end up with photos we’d love) we both feel that she did the perfect job of capturing us as a couple and love every photo.

Couldn't have been better!

Erica and her team (Elle and Joe) were absolutely the best possible choice for our September 2018 wedding. They were collaborative, professional, warm and friendly, and the photos are beyond my wildest expectations.

I can't recommend Erica and her team highly enough! Most important, her pictures are stunning and she captured every moment so beautifully. There is not a single picture that didn't come out gorgeously. She was a pleasure to work with and super reliable - including making it from the Hudson Valley to Manhattan when some of my relatives bailed due to snowy roads. She worked with us before the wedding to understand our priorities for photos and executed wonderfully. She did a great job of stage-managing the wedding party and relatives during portraits to get it all done painlessly, then during the ceremony and reception she blended in seamlessly, but was always ready at the right moment. You can't go wrong with Erica and her team.

My sister was married yesterday, October 6, 2017, and the extraordinary team from Clean Plate Pictures were her photographers. Erica, Elle, and Joe are an amazing team. They are friendly, professional, fun, and effective. They listened to what the bride and groom wanted and kept things rolling. They were able to capture all the shots under time constraints; especially since the bridal party and the bride and groom's family were both large. We all had ample time to enjoy the cocktail hour. I don't know how I have waited this long to write a review after my wedding this past October. I think I just assumed that the whole world felt as I did and knows how amazing Erica of Clean Plate Pictures is :) From the moment I contacted Erica in my photographer research process I felt at ease. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful - explaining to me options for the day and what would fit in my budget. From our first email exchanges and then phone meeting to discuss how I envisioned my big day I was sold. Really all you need to do is review their website or follow their Instagram to see how beautifully they capture every moment of each wedding they shoot. A few weeks before the wedding (when stress levels were high) Erica contacted me to review the schedule for the day, where I would be getting ready, who would be there, any info they needed to know on family members or specific pictures that would be needed ( this is in addition to filling out the provided questionnaire which details all of this out) and she was able to provide me with suggestions that I hadn't even thought of -- for example - if your wearing a strapless dress, don't wear a bra with straps all day getting ready unless you want strap marks :) it was these suggestions that assured me I would have to worry a little less on the wedding day knowing that she would be on the ball and looking out for each and every detail. The day of was beyond anything I could have imagined and Erica along with Elle made it that much more special. They were able to keep my maid of honor, mom and other family members where they needed to be during the getting ready process, took control of who needed to be where when for pictures and also captured all the special moments of the groom getting ready. Throughout the ceremony and reception they were able to capture every moment without making myself or my guests feel like there was a camera in your face or lurking around. Erica and her team are excellent. She did a fantastic job catching special moments in an editorial style. We appreciated that she made time to meet with us close to where we live even though she is based upstate, and was generally very flexible throughout the entire wedding process. She was easy to be around, did great managing a large group (i.e. a herd of cats), and most important of all - took FANTASTIC photos that I still obsess over and can't get enough of. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, stop now and go with Clean Plate Pictures. Working with Erica was a dream. Our engagement pictures and wedding pictures are absolutely stunning (and we've only seen the wedding teasers so far). My family and friends are commenting on the gorgeous pictures as I write this. When I first got engaged, I made a spreadsheet comparing 100 photographers in the tri-state area and ultimately decided on Clean Plate Pictures (and am so glad I did). Erica takes gorgeous pictures and is not afraid of being assertive to get people/objects in or out of the shot to make it perfect. Even my
Mom commented on how great Erica was (and she's a tough critic). Every one of her pictures is great. When deciding between photographers, ask if you can see an entire collection of pictures from one wedding because, as I learned, some photographers have awesome shots on their website but in the full collection you realize that they've just photoshopped a few good ones to entice you. When I was down to deciding between Clean Plate and another photographer, once I saw the full collection, I was set on Erica. Go with Clean Plate - you will not be disappointed.

Working with Erica and the entire Clean Plate team could not have been any more enjoyable. From our first few correspondences via email, to our engagement shoot, to our wedding day photos - the whole process was flawless.

Erica has a gift for making folks comfortable in front of the camera - even those of us with a long history of painfully awkward photos. While my now-wife and I were a bit apprehensive about how things would go with our engagement shoot, within 10 minutes, Erica had us at ease. To our absolute delight, the photos captured us perfectly. This was a huge help, as when our wedding finally rolled around, we knew were were in great hands and were ready to jump right into non-awkward photos with Erica and her team right away!

They were fantastic to work with on our big day. With timely organization, they were able to shoot our first looks, couple shots, and family portraits with time to spare so we could have enough time to relax for a bit before the ceremony began. Once things kicked off, it was as if they weren't even there - even with three photographers present, we never felt like they were being obtrusive or "in the way."

Clean Plate Pictures captured every detail of our wedding perfectly. With the day flying by just as quickly as everyone had warned us it would, we are forever grateful to the Clean Plate team for documenting every nook and cranny. The photographs are so much more than pictures of our wedding - they truly captured the mood and tone of the day, and that is something I don't feel other photographers could have offered us. We can't recommend Clean Plate Pictures enough!

I could not recommend Erica and Clean Plate more highly. From our first interaction to the wedding day, Erica was amazing to work with - the perfect sweet spot of totally professional and just the right amount of personal. On the day, she and her assistant were totally equipped to wrangle wayward relatives for group shots and keep us on point - effectively but not at all aggressively. And (perhaps) more importantly, our wedding pictures are absolutely gorgeous - they somehow manage to feel both contemporary and timeless, so that everyone from my best buds to my in-laws' friends have gone out of their way to rave about how out-of-the-ordinary amazing our pictures are. The shots are fresh and current without being twee or trendy. They totally capture not just the look but the energy and spirit of our day.

Clean Plate Pictures did an absolutely fantastic job of photographing our wedding! Erica was incredibly organised and confident at directing my husband and I, and our families, for the more formal shots, and captured a huge amount of gorgeous candids throughout the day. We both work in the visual arts and have high expectations for the stylistic and technical approach to photography and were thrilled with the final images - so unique, stylish and creative, and they truly captured the magic of the day - we can't recommend CPP highly enough - and we can't stop looking through the photos!

There are no words to explain how happy we were to have Erica and Clean Plate Pictures there to capture our wedding day! We actually hired Erica before we even had a venue. She was actually the first wedding professional we hired and the best decision we could have made. I followed her photography for a while and when I finally became engaged, I knew we had to have her!

From beginning to end, Erica and her team were amazing. They showed up on time, they treated my family members and friends with the utmost respect and they blended into our wedding crowd so perfectly that we didn't even notice them on our wedding day. We gave Erica creative freedom to shoot however and whatever and we weren't at all disappointed with that decision. She captured every moment perfectly and even captured moments we didn't know occurred! When the pictures were ready, we were blown away! I have yet to choose which pictures to have enlarged because every image is just perfect. Our wedding was also featured on a popular wedding blog! Erica was an excellent investment and I would have her shoot every event if I could!

We also had a Clean Plate Pictures Photo Booth and were absolutely happy with that as well. The staff was punctual, and courteous. And the Photo Booth pictures are some really great keepsakes!

The best. She knew what we wanted cause she asked. And she executed perfectly. We have seen some of the early photos and we're revved to see the full portfolio. She is a professional and we enjoyed her work with us. I recommend her highly.

We hired Clean Plate for our wedding day photos and had our engagement shoot done by them as well. We worked with Tanya, as Erica was busy on our wedding day. The second shooter Tanya brought was Sarah, I think?

Either way, I'm sure Erica would have been amazing to work with as well from what we could tell as we worked through all the logistics with her but we loved Tanya and Sarah. My husband and I felt really awkward taking portraits so we'd usually end up just cracking jokes and laughing at each other. Tanya worked with us to get us to feel more comfortable, which worked to a degree (we're just really difficult).

On the day of, Tanya showed up to my parents' house and Sarah went to shoot the guys. I have 3 dogs and it was such a relief to me that Tanya was comfortable around them (and even got some great shots of them).

They worked well with our other vendors and were really good about blending in during the reception. There were a lot of pictures taken during the reception where I don't remember seeing either Tanya or Sarah around.

We loved the final product and the number of pictures we received. If you like the aesthetic of Clean Plate's finished photographs, you can't go wrong with them. They are a little pricier than what I've seen from other wedding photographers but I think you get what you pay for.

My daughter's wedding pictures are absolutely stunning. I will have to admit I was a little skeptical when my daughter told me who she booked. I thought the pictures would be a bit to "hip" for me but they are just gorgeous. Erica and her team were wonderful to work with and were very patient with stressed out Mom! I highly reccommend Clean Plate Pictures.

I live in Brooklyn, but my husband and I are from the same town upstate so we decided to get married there. I had been through many photographers websites that were closer to our venue and nothing felt right. I decided to reach out to a friend who was married the year before and had the BEST photobooth at her wedding. She raved about her photographer, Erica so I decided to reach out.

It was one of the best decisions I made during the whole wedding planning process. Thank goodness she was available! Erica's photographs are original, creative, timeless and really capture the spirit of each couple. They immediately had me hooked.

Both Erica and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had so much fun doing our portraits with her and we both felt very relaxed throughout the day. I love every single picture she took. She did an incredible job at capturing amazing moments between my husband and I as well as all of our family and friends. The way she juggles all of those different cameras is pretty impressive too.

2 months before the wedding she even took the time to visit the venue with me to scout out locations for our portraits. It really showed me that she was committed to capturing our day by utilizing every part of the beautiful venue we chose. When the day came she knew the exact location of every picture she took.

I really felt like I was breaking up with my vendors after the wedding was over. So wonderful to be able to have such amazing people capture such an important day in your life. I can't wait til our next big life event so I can hire her again.

Also, the photobooth. So so worth it.

Erica and her team did everything possible to give us beautiful photographs we will cherish for years to come. My husband and I like to say we have "faces for radio" but Erica's pictures brought out the joy and glow that make every wedding couple look incredible. She worked closely with us to accommodate for weather changes (there was a huge snow storm the day of our wedding!) and to make sure that we had a schedule that allowed us to enjoy our day and be present in the moment while still having time to take pictures that we wanted of our family and bridal party. The day after the wedding she sent us teaser pictures that showed us how incredibly talented she is--- everyone looked amazing!! And the photobooth we added was a huge hit with our guests. I am so glad we used Clean Plate Pictures and highly recommend them to others.

Erica and the whole Clean Plate team was amazing to work with! We had both our engagement photos and wedding photos taken by Erica and an assistant. My husband and I are not the most comfortable about having our picture taken but she was great at making us feel relaxed and making the photoshoot experience so fun. We LOVED the photos she took for both events and we've gotten so any compliments from friends and family. The wedding photos included so many wonderful candids and really captured the fun of the day. We recently put together albums for our family members and going back through the pictures made us realize how lucky we were to have such an amazing photographer to document our wedding day! we met and booked erica before we did almost anything else--and i'm so glad we did! we loved how she seemed, from her previous work, to catch the great "moments" and we definitely found that to be true for our wedding, too! she is great at catching memorable faces, moments in time, awesome dance moves... she seemed to really get us and know what we'd want to remember. from start to finish, she was quick to respond, organized, and beyond helpful. during the planning process, she even drove us around looking for the perfect photo sites which was such a surprising, but awesome, touch. on the day of, she knew how keep everyone in line, keep me sane, and get all the key shots. she also seemed like the best bang for your buck from what we saw out there!

Choosing a photographer for my wedding was pretty stressful. I was first out of my New York friends to get married, and had no recommendations to go by ... until I came across Erica's yelp reviews ( every single one -- 5 stars!). She was also the only one who actually posted prices on her site. ( I gotta be honest, that was the 1st thing I looked for.)

Erica is an awesome photographer who also happens to be a total sweetheart -- her photos absolutely DO NOT look like all the other wedding pics out there. I fell in love with Erica's work right away, and booked her for an engagement shoot, hoping that she could work her magic on the two of us.

My hubby and I are both very awkward in front of a camera. We don't know how to smile. We certainly don't have a "pose" like most people in our age of facebook seem to. During our engagement shoot, she put us completely at ease. She encouraged us to interact with one another. It felt like we just walked, talked, laughed, and played. And somehow, we ended up with an AMAZING set of photos.

Thanks to our experience with the engagement pics, we knew we would end up with incredible photos of our special day. Throughout the wedding, Erica and her helper were never in the way. The only time we received any direction, was for the "formal" photos. And even that was very low key. We never felt like we had to "pose" pose.

It's been almost two years since our wedding, and I still get crazy compliments about our wedding photos. People keep saying how photogenic we are.. how effortless and magical the night was. And I keep telling them -- it's all thanks to Erica. She just knows how to make people feel at ease ( and look good).

We couldn't afford to hire a videographer, but thanks to Erica's photos, we don't feel like we missed out, not at all. The memories Erica has captured for us are real. The night was beautiful, and thanks to these photos, we will never forget just how magical everything was.

If there were 100 rating stars I would give Clean Plate Pictures ALL of them! Erica was unbelievable. Not only did she take time out of her schedule to come visit me and look at my location ideas for my wedding photos, but her professionalism and talent are out of this world. Her attention to detail was impeccable - and her organizational skills really helped keep our wedding day schedule flowing smoothly. Her personality speaks volumes too, she's just wonderful!

My wedding photos are so incredible that I am gonna end up with the worlds largest album - since it will be impossible to narrow down my favorites! The quality is flawless - I couldn't be happier. There are just not enough good words in the world for Erica and her team. She was the first wedding vendor I'd chosen upon our engagement (ok, actually prior to our engagement) because, after discovering her work online, I found it consistently on-trend, natural, timeless, classy, and basically just perfect. It could have stopped right there and I would have been content, but it doesn't! All three photographers that arrived on the morning of my wedding were considerate, funny, easy-going, kind, and professional. They got my husband and me, as well as our families and wedding party all smiling, moving, laughing, and posing naturally. They were so easy to spend the day with too; they just made sense. I could not imagine a more perfect set of photographers. So so very pleased with Erica and the whole Clean Plate Pictures team.

Erica and her team were SO wonderful! She was so sweet and put us at ease for photos (and we aren't the most fond of being photographed) and they made the process so fun. She got beautiful shots of us and the wedding party and she and her assistant were EVERYWHERE throughout the night capturing everything. We also rented the photo booth through her which was a HUGE hit. Photographs were obviously really important to us and we couldn't be happier we worked with Clean Plate!

Erica is extremely talented and we are so happy we chose Clean Plate Pictures to photograph our wedding day. I am not the most comfortable in front of the camera yet Erica managed to get so many amazing shots, you would have never known. She truly captured the emotion of the day and we now have so many beautiful pictures I don't know how to choose which ones I want to frame! I could not be more thrilled that we chose Erica & Clean Plate Pictures. From the engagement session (where Erica and her assistant agreed to let us drag them all the way to an apple orchard upstate despite a rainy weekend) to pre-wedding meetings and the day of the wedding, Erica and her colleagues made my husband and I feel very at ease. She truly cared that we were comfortable in front of the camera and would be getting the pictures that we wanted. All of our pictures were posted in exactly the timeframe that Erica promised and we were thrilled with the editing. We added a photobooth at the last minute and absolutely recommend this - Erica's photobooth is not enclosed and allowed for a really fun environment where big groups of people could take pictures. We've just gotten all of our pictures and they are stunning - if you like the look of the photos on the website, give Erica a call - she is wonderful to work with, the price is right, and your lasting memories will be incredible.

Erica did an amazing job with shooting our wedding! We had a very specific idea of what we wanted for our wedding photos and were quite particular about making sure that we ended up with someone who had a focus on more natural shots (nothing overly posed). Our wedding venue recommended Erica/Clean Plate and she was exactly what we were looking for and we could not be happier with how the pictures have turned out!

We met with Erica several months before our wedding and she was incredibly, helpful, patient and responsive in addressing all of our questions. She was the first photographer we had met with and after talking through with her what we wanted for our wedding pictures we decided there was no need to look any further; it was an excellent match!

From there working with her was incredibly easy, smooth and straightforward. She is very clear about what to expect and listened carefully to what we wanted. She captured tons of fabulous pictures and was very sensitive to the fact that getting your picture taken constantly is not always the easiest or most comfortable position to be in (or, at least not for us). By the end, we both had relaxed significantly thanks to the ease of Erica and her assistant and some of our favorite shots from that day ended up being ones that are technically posed, though she still manages give everything a natural look that reflected us.

I cannot recommended Erica/Clean Plate enough. She did such a fantastic job and we really could not be happier with how everything turned out!

Erica at Clean Plate Pictures was recommended to us by our wedding venue. As soon as my fiance and I saw the pictures on her website, we fell in love and booked immediately. We met up with Erica a couple weeks before the wedding to go over everything and scout out the area for fun shots. Erica was so friendly and easy to talk to and get along with. On the day of our wedding, Erica and her assistant (we signed up to have 2 photogs) were both great and so easy to work with. They made everyone comfortable and the photos came out incredible. Erica really captured the happiness of the wedding and got great shots of every single person who attended. We are obsessed with our photos and can't thank Erica enough. Clean Plate Pictures and Clean Plate's principal, Erica, did an amazing job for our wedding. She was communicative, informative, and friendly at every step of the process. She's a very talented and hardworking photographer. She quickly switched through her vast array of cameras/lenses (I believe she had five camera bodies at our wedding) to shoot in a wide variety of different settings and lighting conditions: outdoors in a surprise snowstorm, back-lit, bright sunshine, and candlelight. She didn't miss a moment and captured the essence of our wedding, our guests, and our feelings on that day perfectly. And she, her second shooter, and her lovely assistant were a pleasure to work with throughout the day.

After the wedding, Erica has been great too. She put up five teaser pictures on Facebook within days of the wedding, and then sent us all the pictures (and added about 125 of the best to her blog: http://www.cleanplatepictures.com/blog/) about two months later.

I've participating in weddings where the photographers were pushy, cheesy, and/or obtrusive, and whose work product was disappointing. Clean Plate pictures is the exact opposite. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and I cannot recommend Erica highly enough.

I found Erica on Yelp and was pretty much sold just from looking at the pictures on her website. The pictures looked interesting because they seemed to capture moments and not just people, and a lot of the pictures had funky backdrops which by themselves often seemed a little rough and odd, but then made perfect sense with a couple in it. My future husband and I met up with Erica and pretty much booked her right away
We got exactly what we hoped for. We first did an engagement shoot in Williamsburg and Dumbo several months before the wedding which gave us plenty of material for our wedding invitations. Apart from the standards with all the classic Dumbo settings Erica really showed her gift for the unique picture. There was one shot on a decidedly unpretty corner in Williamsburg that had a weird old man walking by us in the picture. You would think that's a picture that goes right into the garbage, but for some reason it's one of my favorite ones.
And then the wedding: The pictures were spectacular. My least favorite ones, if there were any, were actually the standard group pictures with the families. They were fine, but this isn't where Erica shines the most. Her strength is to move around, find and capture all these little fun and touching moments that will tell the story of the day. My husband and I have looked at the pictures since the wedding many times, and every time it really is like reliving the day.
Oh, and the photo booth! I can only recommend getting it, it was so much fun! We bought props at the Party store beforehand for it, our guests really went wild and we have tons of crazy pictures (the most popular prop turned out to be an inflatable monkey). We had our guest book next to the photo booth and had everyone put in one of the two strips that come out from every shot.
Overall: Erica is a total pro, super-creative, fun to work with, reasonably priced - we couldn't have been happier.

Erica and her Clean Plate team did a beautiful job for our vineyard wedding. She captured every beautiful moment including all our crazy dance moves and sparkler send off into the wee hours of the night.

The Clean Plate photo booth was probably the biggest hit and I couldn't believe I almost didn't have it! She was able to share the booth photos right after the wedding and it was the best surprise after coming back from our honeymoon. People are still talking about them several months later.

Our family loved our all the photos and kept commenting on how "so us" they were. I'm not sure how many photographers are capable of capturing such beautiful moments in such a whirlwind of a day but Erica and Anna managed to do that and much more.

I recommended Clean Plate to all my friends and Erica is currently booked to shoot my co-workers wedding next fall!

Erica was FANTASTIC! We loved our photos and she was terrific to work with. From the very first meeting I trusted her instincts and with minimal direction she captured everything we wanted that day. She was flexible and patient during the group shots and gave us creative suggestions. During the ceremony and reception I wasn't even aware she was shooting me until I later saw all the great moments she captured. The photo booth option was also one of the best quality machines I have seen at any wedding (no waiting, great prints, amazing quality) and it was one of our guest's favorite things to do. I highly recommend her.

Erica was absolutely wonderful to work with on our wedding day. She is so creative and talented and made the posing as fun and non-awkward as possible. Erica is a fantastic person to work with and an excellent photographer. She was friendly and professional right from the start. She was patient with me when I was running super late during our engagement shoot and still managed to capture gorgeous photos despite the fading/limited daylight. Erica went out of her way to visit both our ceremony and reception venues prior to our wedding. Most importantly, she did an amazing job at capturing both the fun and beauty of the day. Everyone who sees the photos from our wedding comments on how amazing they are. We highly recommend her!

Erica, her second photographer, and her assistant were all so wonderful! Erica was super flexible and worked with me to create a personalized package and was really easy to connect with via email and phone. The quality of her photos is phenomenal and the quantity is superb. She captured every little aspect and every big moment of our wedding. Our wedding was in the morning so she had to get an early start and she was super willing to travel to us that early! She was fun to work with (my husband and I aren't all that comfortable getting our pictures taken) and really captured the essence of the day and who we are. I would highly recommend her!!

I recommend Clean Plate Pictures 100%. I have received so many compliments on our wedding pictures! Erica and Anna were a complete delight to work with on our wedding day. They were calm, flexible, courteous and fun. They were able to capture the feeling and emotion of the day in a way I've never seen before. Every time I look at the pictures I am taken back to that very happy day and almost feel like I'm reliving it thanks to how authentic and candid the pictures are.

there are really no words to describe how professional and wonderful erica and her team were to work with for our wedding. from the very first inquiry to the day after email about what to expect erica was so communicative, which is really important to me. i knew from the moment i saw her website that we had to have her do our wedding. every picture is perfectly touched capturing the moment in a most romantic way. before the wedding we emailed a few times and met in person to go over different sites that would be good for our first look photos and bridal party pictures. she had wonderful ideas and really listened to what we wanted as well.

the day of the wedding erica and her team were amazing. everyone was so easy, sweet and fun to be around! it was terribly hot that day, but erica and anna were so positive and encouraging while we took pictures outdoors. they reassured me and comforted me as i was becoming overwhelmed by the heat. my bustle broke during the first ten minutes and anna so lovingly fixed it, which saved me from having to beat up my friend who stepped on it. during the evening erica noticed my grandfather and came up to me and asked if we would like a picture together. it is something that i never would have thought of during the evening and it really meant so much to me that she noticed. not only in the big details, but also the small she is a true professional.

i could really go on and on about how great erica and her team are. from the very beginning i knew that our wedding photos were in great hands. i can't wait to see our pictures! i have no doubt that they will be beautiful!

we feel so fortunate to have found such an amazing photographer.

While I'm still waiting for the final photos, I can speak to Erica's enthusiasm, professionalism, and flexibility. I particularly liked:
1. That we met up two weeks before the wedding, just so she could check in and get to know us better.
2. Even when things were getting stressful, and time was running short, Erica was friendly, professional, and committed to taking great photos.

Erica and her team shot our wedding at Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo, NY. We spent so much time looking for a photographer that my eyes were crossed from looking at websites. When we stumbled upon Erica's website and then spoke with her, we knew she would do a wonderful job. Leading up to the wedding she was professional, friendly, organized and communicative. We never had a doubt that we were in good hands, and so, when it came to the day, we let her take the lead. She had great ideas about where to take photos in the neighborhood, and the photos were stunning and creative. The photographers were fun and low key at the wedding - even the guests commented on how nice they were. They were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them. Erica was absolutely amazing. She was completely professional, yet so friendly at the same time. She made me feel at ease when taking the pre-wedding photos, which I really appreciated. And I cannot say enough about the photos themselves. Our wedding and reception were in a relatively small space, and she and her team managed to capture so many special moments throughout the evening. Opening Erica's email with all of our pictures was like opening a present. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was amazing to work with, and I only hope that we have the opportunity to work with her again.

My partner and I were looking for a unique style for our wedding photographs and we found that and more when we hired Clean Plate Pictures. We wanted a certain type of aesthetic - a modern, documentary-type feel that captured the day perfectly and we weren't disappointed. Erica and team caught fleeting moments that the untrained would have missed and consequently we got many beautiful, intimate photographs that we can look back on for years to come. We were lucky enough to hire Erica of Clean Plate Pictures to shoot our engagement photos. We were looking for something unique and different with our shoot that would really capture us and she got exactly what we were going for and MORE. People are still talking about our Save the Date photo, and even our Christmas card, which was also a result of the incredible shoot.

Her photos are beautiful, and she is fun, easy and professional to work with. We were so thrilled with our engagement photos, that we hired her team to shoot our wedding this spring and I am fully confident that we made 100% the right decision. Our wedding photos are by far the most talked about thing in our family! They capture all of the emotion and excitement of the day. We also added the photo booth option which was a GREAT way to capture our guests having a good time! Our albums are gorgeous and we are so happy with the results.

erica beckman shot our wedding photos. She gave us copies in both color and black and white. She's really into doing a great job and delivering what you ask for. We chose Erica because she is not a typical wedding photographer...she's an artist. We loved working with her.
