Where do I even begin! Claire and Rob were the best decision we made for our wedding day and were (and still are one month later) the talk of the wedding from all of our guests. I spent several months researching photographers without reading reviews or counting followers but studying the quality of the work for first impressions. I could not find a photo by Claire & Rob that I didn't like. They were the very first aspect of the wedding we locked down after the venue since photography was the most important thing for us. An engagement shoot was included in our package and was a great way for us to get to know each other and we all hit it off - we had so much fun! Our wedding day ran so smoothly and I give all of the credit for that to Claire and Rob. From start to finish, their energy is inspiring, they made us feel so comfortable and happy. I am not the type of person to have a large circle of people in my life, but I actually cried after they left because we gained two new amazing friends! We received photos almost immediately and love every single one - I cannot choose a favorite. As you must know, a photographer's work is never done when the event is over, but they had a super quick turn around for us with finished product despite it being the busiest wedding month of the year. We will be certain to find reasons to hire That First Moment in the future whenever we are able! Thank you Claire & Rob for capturing our best day ever and being the best part of our day aside from marrying my best friend! -

the best photo team out there
Where do I begin- I have been in multiple weddings (7 to be exact) and the number one thing I have seen make or break the day is the photographers. They are a major part of your day, as well as the memories you will carry after your day. From the second Claire & Rob stepped into our lives, it has been nothing but the upmost energy, passion, talent, and professionalism from the two of them. They truly blend into your day as friends, to the point where they are in the midst of your dance floor at 10pm capturing all the magic and no one having a clue. They get what needs to be done without the chaos and stress (we all know how family pictures go) and are able to capture the most perfect moments by allowing you to be in the best mindset. I am speaking of their character, though let’s get to the TRUE magic which is of their work. I will forever cherish the memories AND photos I have as they truly capture every memory you have in each moment. Their photos speak for themselves (we only have teasers and I mean look at these). For everyone reading this, HIRE THEM. To Claire & Rob, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. We love you.

That First Moment Photography is a lovely couple who shoot the most creative professional photos. They work as a team at a quick pace to capture every moment of your event. Our daughter’s wedding was magical and they captured the magic for us in photos. They interacted to put us at ease. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about working with Claire and Rob at That First Moment Photography! They are an incredible, energetic duo who work well together to streamline photos efficiently and effectively. They bring the energy and excitement to your event so that the photography doesn’t interrupt the party and the celebration. They are worth every penny three times over, and I’m so glad that my now husband and I trusted them to photograph our wedding. We will treasure their incredible pictures forever.
But to provide some nitty-gritty of what you can expect when you sit back and let Claire and Rob work their magic!
I was initially drawn to That First Moment photography because of their extensive work photographing weddings at Disney World. My husband and I chose a museum for our wedding venue, and we liked how Claire and Rob highlighted the uniqueness of the venue without making our pictures about the venue. Looking through their work, while they are able to capture the big monuments and the impressive landscapes, the focus of each of their photos is still the love and happiness of the couple. The other benefit of their Disney experience was that they are used to working around crowds to capture the angles without the groups of people in the way. The museum where I got married was still open when we began our photo shoot, and it was incredible how Claire and Rob discovered the hidden spots and angles that made the crowds fade away. It’s not just having an eye for the shots, it’s also being able to take command of the space and to control the area so that it was like their own photography studio, even in the middle of masses of meddling people. For these reasons, I would recommend That First Moment photography for anyone who is getting married in a public setting, such as a theme park, museum, or public beach.
Another great aspect of working with Claire and Rob is that they are flexible and will work to take any picture that you want. Having friends and siblings who had weddings previously, many of them warned about how you have to have a detailed photo list to give their photographer if you wanted a picture taken, and many ended up not getting photos they would have liked because they were left off the list. Claire and Rob are a lot more flexible than that! My aunt is big on getting pictures of everyone and everything, and Claire and Rob graciously accommodated her requests. I also added in a groomsmen sock photo the day of the wedding (a last-minute groomsmen gift) and she got on rounding up the groomsmen immediately for the photo. With all of the whirlwind that was my wedding day, I am so glad that Claire and Rob were flexible to make mine so very special and to capture every moment of it. I recommend hiring Claire and Rob if you have a lot of friends and family who want special pictures with the bride and groom on your wedding day.
Speaking of flexibility, it began to rain during our first look photos. The outdoor museum scenery that Claire and Rob had scoped out had to be scrapped in favor of dry spaces within the exhibit. Without losing a beat or a bridesmaid, Claire and Rob took action to move the pictures inside and kept to our photo schedule. They were already prepared with a rain contingency plan and had several photographic places already picked out inside. Furthermore, the shuttle that was transporting family and guests arrived early and chaos of the crowd ensued. Throughout it all, Claire and Rob maintained their professionalism and positive attitude. They encouraged the party and happiness that accompanies a wedding while also taking lead to keep pictures and the wedding on schedule. As a bride who tried to plan for everything, I greatly appreciated their foresight and ability to adapt to surprises. Definitely hire Claire and Rob should your wedding reception break out in an impromptu conga line on the dance floor or if your grandpa busts a move to a Back Street Boys song (all of which happened at my wedding!). Claire and Rob will be there ready to capture every spontaneous and memorable moment!
During the wedding, I received plenty of compliments on my dress, the food, and the flowers. But hands down the most praise that I received at my wedding and afterwards was how great Claire and Rob at That First Moment was. One bridesmaid was impressed with the creativity of the shots and the easy cues that made posing for photos seem natural. As an artist herself, she appreciated and admired the angles and the play with visuals that Claire and Rob utilized during our wedding photos. Another bridesmaid commented how well Claire and Rob work together. She was not surprised when I told her that they are engaged and will have their own wedding in a few months. That First Moment is one of those companies where a couple’s love and respect for each other improves their working relationship. My mom was impressed how Claire and Rob never stopped all night. Somehow, someway, Claire and Rob were everywhere during the reception to capture every memorable moment of our wedding. I honestly don’t know how they had the energy to do all that they did, but I am so grateful to them for capturing so much of my wedding. In fact, my husband and I petered out before the photographers did! We were wiped from such a delightful wedding when Claire asked if we wanted to take a few final pictures before we left. I wish I could have rallied the strength for more pictures. I know with Claire and Rob they would have been magical. Claire and Rob would be wonderful for a large wedding or a long wedding where you’ll have a lot of people and moments to capture. You can fully trust them to get every shot and memory.
Finally, when I say hard workers, Claire and Rob had an AMAZING turnaround for getting us our sneak peak of our wedding photos. We went to Florida as a destination wedding and before we even got back to the West Coast, Claire and Rob had their “sneak peek” of wedding photos ready for us. I use social media a lot to keep up with friends and family, so it was truly wonderful that we had our professional pictures ready to share. My dad couldn’t believe that they developed and screened so many great pictures already, but that’s what you can expect when you work with Claire and Rob. He was very appreciative for the opportunity to share their link on his own social media accounts. But what did surprise me is how thorough the “sneak peek” of photos were. Claire and Rob had the perfect summary of the wedding with their assortment of early-released photographs for us. It included individual shots of the bride and groom, the wedding party, a few family photos, several from the ceremony, and a lot of photos from the reception. Within a few days, we had professional photos that demonstrated all of the highlights from our wedding, and honestly that’s what makes Claire and Rob so wonderful. They understand how meaningful and special our wedding was for us, and they worked so hard to capture every second of it and send us those memories within a few days. I definitely recommend booking That First Moment Photography! You’ll be glad you did.

Claire and Rob are ridiculous amazing. From the first shoot with them I knew we had made the best choice. They’re the best kind of people and their work is AMAZING. I mean mind blowing beyond anything I could ever imagine. Claire even helped me get into my dress, they watched our kiddos when we needed certain shots. I mean seriously I can write a whole book on what sets them apart from anyone else I’ve ever booked with. I’m so so glad we chose them as our photographers and I couldn’t recommend them enough. -

Words cannot truly express how unbelievably wonderful Rob and Claire with That First Moment are. This fantastic photography duo is something you have to experience for yourself. From day one, they were incredibly involved and communicative during our planning process. Super friendly and always smiling, these two are the bee's knees of photography. They bring their own artistry to your session, both your engagement and wedding, in a way that brilliantly tells your unique story. Stunning Photography
After meeting Claire and Robb, I knew they would be amazing photographers. We connected right away and we loved their photographs. On the day of our engagement photos, it started to rain. However, our team stayed positive and had ideas to work with and around the rain. It was so fun dancing in the rain. My husband and I, both are shy and were worried we wouldn’t be good at photos. But we thrived off the amazing energy from Claire and Robb. I knew we were going to have great photos. They were not just great photos however they were the best photos. When we saw the final product we were completely blown away from how GORGEOUS, STUNNING, and CREATIVE our pictures turned out.
Claire and Robb have a complete natural talent with creating and seeing the way the picture will turn out. We were so excited for our wedding photographs and our sneak peeks were even more amazing. I knew these photographs were one of the most important parts of the day. They captured the magic of the day and all of the great moments. These will be lasting memories for the rest of our lives and I am so happy with how great these photos turned out. A month later our family and friends are still blown away from the photographs. I know we are planning to hire That First Moment for my siblings weddings. Plus other special occasions. Thank you Claire and Robb for capturing our wedding day!

Tracey Sent on 11/15/2017Hands-down the absolute best decision we made for our wedding was to choose Claire & Rob as our photographers!! There was no way I was going to just grab a friend with a good camera. We had one day and one opportunity to capture one of the most important days of our lives. Having mentally prepped for the chaos, we knew the photographer needed to be on point and these two were, and then some!!!
Our engagement photo session allowed us to get comfortable with them both and get to know them. It was brilliant! By the day of the wedding we were both so comfortable our pictures came out naturally and added to the elegance. We really feel like the engagement photos helped to set the tone for the caliber of wedding we were planning.
It felt like we had our own personal set of wedding day guardian angels with those two on our side. They prep you perfectly ahead of time, really work together as a team both with one another and with us.
Their style is elegant and classy with a modern edge and they perfectly captured the essence of “us” and our love for one another. The turn around time on sneak peeks and the full ‘albums’ was more than we could have ever asked for. They maximize their use of technology to make things easier and more streamline without weighing you down with tools it will take you a year to learn.
Claire and Rob are absolutely phenomenal! You can rest easy knowing even if everything goes wrong at your wedding, your pictures will still be everything you ever dreamed of. -

She is great to watch in action. I loved seeing how her mind raced on the big day. She gave 100% and it showed when I got our pictures back (in less the quoted time, I might add). Several of our shots look like something out of a bridal magazine!
