Elliot was the DJ at our wedding in May 2015 and he was amazing! He was very detailed and got our Timeline down perfect. He made sure we made all the right choices to make are day perfect. The wedding was absolutely perfect! Thank you Elliot for giving us our dream wedding!

We received Elliot Mogerman as our DJ for our wedding through Citron Sound. He was great to work with and on top of everything! He provided a basic framework for the day with song selections as well as made a call before the wedding for finalizing all details and selections. The cost was great and he was wonderful. He even provided up lighting for the event that was beautiful and really set the stage. I highly recommend him for events.

We worked with Elliott Mogerman from Citron Sound and had a great experience with him. He helped walk us through our wedding ceremony and reception music selections, and was very easy to reach with questions, and extremely kind.

He did a great job of MC-ing our wedding and getting people engaged in the evening. Highly recommend Elliott and Citron Sound!

DJ Jimmy Davenport was the best DJ/MC! He did sound for the ceremony, cocktail, and reception and all were at three different places in the same venue right after the other. For an outdoor ceremony, it was important to have good sound. DJ Jimmy played track music for some parts of the ceremony and made sure the band sounded great. For the reception, he played all the music we previously requested and everyone had a fabulous time.

Jimmy responds quickly to email or phone call. He's very professional and is fun to and easy to work with. He even invited us into him own home when we first booked him to go over logistics. Jimmy Davenport is the best DJ and he won't disappoint!

Loved Elliot! Not pushy or "over-the-top". Kept everybody on the dance floor and frequently checked in with my husband and I on how and where we wanted the night to go.

A week before the wedding we were in need of a DJ. Thankfully we called Citron Sound, who hooked us up with Tony! He was so personable and energetic, an he was prompt and professionally dressed. So many guests commented on how quickly he responded to their requests. If I was in need of a DJ again, I would definitely call this company!

Ramsey at Citron Sound was the DJ for our wedding at Troon North Golf Club. I would highly recommend using Ramsey for your wedding. He was very professional from the moment that we met him. He makes you feel very confident that he will do a great job running everything at your wedding. When you have a planning meeting with him, he gives you a form that lets you know what songs you need to pick from the First Dance to Cake Cutting and everything else for the day. I felt confident that he had all of the songs that we wanted before our wedding. He played the songs that we asked for just as we wanted. We let Ramsey know that we wanted him to be in charge of keeping the party running smoothly and he did a great job at this. There was never a dull moment at our wedding. He made sure that people were out there dancing and entertained from speeches to cake cutting to our sparkler exit. Ramsey even looked out for us during dinner. He noticed that guests were coming up to our sweetheart table so that we weren't able to eat. He came over to us and asked if we wanted an announcement made that we would visit tables after we ate. Then we were able to enjoy our dinner. I am so glad that we used Citron Sound and Ramsey for our wedding. Everything went perfectly.

Best DJ and MC in town!!!
Jimmy Davenport is a wonderful professional that pays attention to all the wedding details, he got together with us a few times before the wedding, he would always returned our calls and the communication via e-mail was great.
The day of the wedding he had everything in place, he looks at the ambiance of the room and that is the music he plays, you can hardly see people seating down everyone is on the dance floor having a wonderful time.
If I have another event definite I will contact Jimmy.

Jimmy was so wonderful to work with during our wedding planning process! He had the best recommendations. Everything went so well during the wedding; that many of my friends and family commented how they wanted to reserve Jimmy for their wedding. We had Dj Jimmy Davenport for our wedding reception and dance. He was AWESOME during the planning process- we had two personal sit down meetings with him regarding what we wanted for our wedding, and he was open to all of our wants and needs. We aren't a traditional sort of couple, and we skipped the introductions, garder toss, and all that stuff, and he still was able to engage EVERYBODY for the dance and kept the floor full of friends and family for the entire night. We had people on the dance floor until the very last song. All of our guests (even the grandparents!) commented that it was THE BEST party they'd been to. Period. If you have the chance to book Jimmy D, you won't regret it!

Jimmy Davenport was our DJ. He spent several hours with us in face to face meetings with questionnaires, lists, and all the checklists.. anything we would need to ensure our wedding captured everything we wanted.

We had several live musicians for our various activities during the wedding and Jimmy was completely prepared and the sound was great.

We hired Jimmy because we were absolutely confident he would handle anything that cam his way during the event and we would not have to worry about a thing! He felt like part of the family!

Ramsey Bergeron from Citron Sound was fantastic! He had great suggestions and he understood exactly what we wanted for both our ceremony and our reception. He was extremely professional yet easy going and played a tremendous part in making our wedding truly unforgettable. Ramsey made sure everything went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Citron Sound and Ramsey for your wedding. Citron is a bit more expensive than some of the other DJs around town but worth every penny and will not disappoint. Look no further!

Jimmy Davenport was the MC for our wedding. He was fabulous! He gave me all the tools I needed to plan a great reception. From the first meeting with Jimmy he gave my so much helpful information for planning our event. I could not have done it with out him! At our reception everybody had so much fun...... the 20 year olds and the 70 year olds! Jimmy kept it fun and CLASSY! The lighting though Jimmy was great too! The lights were tiny little lights that moved around the room. It made the room fun but did not take away from the elegance of the room. He also did a pinspot on our cake that made the cake visible to the whole room. If not our cake would have been in a corner unnoticed. Why spend all that money on a cake and not have it be seen?! Jimmy was great and I had a lot of compliments about him from my friends and family!

Thank you Citron Sound Services, specifically Jimmy Davenport, for making our wedding a memorable night. Jimmy was the DJ at 2 of my cousin's weddings and did such a great job, we decided to have him as our DJ at our wedding on March 1st. Not only is Jimmy knowledgeable about music and mixing music, he is also thorough and professional. He met with us for 2.5 hours the week before our wedding to make sure he pronounced names correctly and that he knew all of the songs we wanted him to play. He also gave us suggestions on activities to include to keep people involved at our wedding. We received multiple compliments on what a great DJ we had and everybody thought our wedding was a blast! Ask for Elliot! We were so beyond thrilled with our choice for DJ. I am so glad I went through Citron Sound and they recommended Elliot to me and he was AMAZING! He played exactly what we wanted and kept the party going and on track. He had fun with everyone and even has his own photo booth you can rent which we did, and it was AWESOME! That was a huge hit with our guests and we are waiting on the disk with all of the photos from the night which should be interesting haha. A huge thank you to Citron Sound and an even bigger Thank you to Elliot for doing a GREAT job!

Citron Sound is amazingly wonderful. Jimmy Davenport was our DJ and made our night memorable and fun for our guests. He invited us to his home for our final walk through of the event, made suggestions and encouraged us during the process. Citron Sound is by far the best entertainment company in Phoenix and has won many awards for being the best. If you do not choose Citron Sound, you will be missing out on a great party. Lastly, the cost of the services provided was reasonable and far less than most others. No gimmics, it is all about you!

Jimmy D was our DJ. He went above and beyond his duties as a DJ to help our reception run smoothly. We decided to add uplighting to our reception, and he allowed us to use it at the ceremony as well. He even went to the church where our ceremony was going to be to make sure the lighting worked out weeks in advance. He was so professional but not stuffy. We had a great time on the dance floor and knew the reception was in good hands. Recommend him to everybody!

We had Jimmy Davenport as our DJ, and he was fabulous!!! Definitely one of the best deicisions we made vendor-wise, and I would absolutely use him again and highly recommend him. In fact, I originally came across Jimmy because I asked a local wedding photographer I knew who his favorite DJ was, and Jimmy was his answer. I figured someone who goes to weddings every weekend should know their DJ's, and I was right! Jimmy is a great DJ and I would highly recommend him for your wedding.

Jimmy was great to work with, and he helped us figure out what we wanted to do and how we wanted to run the event prior to the wedding. I was able to give him a list of songs that I liked/disliked, and I was impressed at how he was able to incorporate that seamlessly into my wedding event. He was a great DJ, played the requests, and keep the reception rocking all night long.

I had a wonderful wedding reception and danced all night long, due to Jimmy's great DJ'ing. He was great and easy to work with, and I can't recommend him enough!

Jimmy was fantastic! He made the whole process easy and made suggestions that were perfect for our big day. He has a wide variety of music and used a mix of music styles to make our reception a good time for everyone. Our friends and family are still talking about our wedding a year later and we got compliments from our venue saying it was the best reception they had seen in three years. Thanks Jimmy!

My wife and I were married in Oct. 2008 and we were lucky to have Jeff Marcus from Citron as our DJ. He played all the music that we requested and ensured all of our guests had a great time. On top of actually playing the music we wanted, he really knew how to manage the entire reception. He kept the flow and fun going throughout the night. I don't know how else to put this, but I would highly recommend Jeff Marcus for any Bride and Groom looking for a DJ that is extremely professional and knows the importance of making your day special.

Jimmy Davenport was awesome! He was so great to work with and we are so happy that we chose him as our DJ/Master of Ceremonies.

Jimmy was so accommodating and easy to work with and was always willing to have a meeting to make sure our big day was exactly what we wanted it to be. There were a lot of music decisions and he helped us the whole way through. He was also great about helping us with our bridal party introductions! On top of that he worked with our other vendors to come up with timelines so that our day went smoothly. I just can't say enough of how easy and fun it was to work with him and I would definitely recommend him!

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Hiring Jimmy as our DJ was the best decision we made. He had the crowd going, and was awesome to work with. Our wedding was a success because he made it so much fun. We hired Jeff Marcus to DJ our wedding and he was truly a master of ceremonies. He sent out an itinerary to all our other vendors so everyone knew exactly what was going on and when it was happening on our wedding day. We did some fun games during the reception that our guests will never forget.
Above all, he kept the party going all night long...never a dull or awkward moment. Our guests continue to tell us how much fun they had and that is in large part to the awesome vibe coming from the music that was being played. Jeff really knows how to read a crowd and play the right music to keep everyone happy. I strongly recommend Jeff Marcus to be your Master of Ceremonies. It will be a wedding that will be hard to top!

We hired Jimmy Davenport as our wedding DJ and almost two years later, still receive positive feedback about how wonderful a job he did! Unlike, other DJ's that play only music that they personally enjoy, Jimmy really fed off of the energy of our guests and played music that kept EVERYONE on the dance floor all night long. Guests even chanted, "One more song!" at the end of the night! We met with Jimmy prior to the wedding and he was very thorough in noting the exact songs that we wanted for our first dance, garter toss, cake cutting etc., including verifying which artists we preferred for the more popular songs. He provided clever and original wedding party introductions, played the songs we requested and left out the ones that we had no desire to hear (i.e. the chicken song and electric slide), and even consulted with us about questionable songs that guests requested. The night progressed so smoothly and by the end of the night, EVERYONE was linked arms in a giant circle belting out lyrics to "Piano Man." = ) I highly recommend Jimmy Davenport!!

Jeff Marcus over at Citron Sound was the DJ at my wedding receptiona dn he did a great joB! My husband and I are not big dancers and did not think our guests were either, but Jeff got us and our guests moving all night long. I still have guests saying how great of a job he did and how much fun they had. Thanks Citron Sound, especially Jeff Marcus.

Our Master of Ceremonies was wonderful! Jim Davenport made the whole night flow perfectly. The change between songs was flawless and he was happy to take requests from the guests. Everyone commented that he did a great job keeping most of the guests on the dance floor. We really did dance the night away. Even our older guests enjoyed the reception.

DJ Jeff Jones was so professional. He told us everything we could do and had new and exciting ideas that no other dj company was doing. When we got to our reception and it was everything we expected and more. Jeff made all of our announcements and got all our guests on the dance floor! I would definitely recommend him to anyone... Matter of fact he's djing my sister's wedding this fall!!

This review is really for DJ Jim Davenport was FANTASTIC! In terms of the reception, he kept all of the events on schedule and more importantly, made it fun for everyone involved. Throughout the night, he had a feel for the mood of the crowd, knowing when to turn it up or down. He played a wide assortment of music, based on what we told him but also based on the crowd's reaction. We had a young, fun crowd mixed with some older adults and everyone had a blast! FUN Bees :-) Prior to the wedding, we met with him twice and he was very easy to work with and LOVES his job. Jim was professional, but not stiff, and most importantly-not cheesy!

We hired Jimmy Davenport with Citron Sound Services after researching a number of local DJ's. We had no idea how involved the DJ is with the wedding planning until we met Jimmy, and frankly, I don't know what we would have done without him. We met a year out from our wedding so we could get a feel for each other. He wanted to learn what kind of couple we are and what our vision was, and we wanted to know if we could feel comfortable with him. We are a more reserved couple and we we're afraid that the DJ would want to run his own show, but Jimmy took his notes and never made us do anything we weren't comfortable with. It was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone.

They did such a great job. Before the wedding my husband and I were worried if we were going to pick the right songs. Jimmy helped take that stress away and we had so much fun picking out songs. At the wedding he was amazing. Thanks Jimmy!!!

Jimmy Davenport of Citron Sound Services is the BEST DJ - he was absolutely perfect at our wedding! Jimmy actually DJ'd my sister's wedding a few years ago, and he did just as amazing of a job. Jim spent so much time with us planning the schedule of our wedding reception, going over all of the music selections, and even went into details such as knowing our parents, grandparents, and syblings names. Everything flowed so smoothly at the reception, and our guests were dancing the entire night. Jimmy also did the uplighting in our ballroom, and a monogram light on the dancefloor. Not only are his prices for this the lowest I found anywhere for lighting, but he did an oustanding job transforming our ballroom into a chic, upscale atmosphere. As I'm sure you know, a DJ can make or break your wedding reception. Book Jim Davenport of Citron Sound and you will be a VERY happy bride!

Jimmy Davenport from Citron Sound was the DJ at our wedding and was wonderful to work with. He assisted in laying out the entire flow of the reception and also assisted in choosing songs by making recommendations based upon what he knew to be our preference of music. We had Jimmy Davenport from Citron sound as our wedding DJ. He did a fantastic job. He was well liked by all the guests and was very professional the whole night. He was also very helpful before the wedding during the planning process. We met with him several times to go over the details. He is very organized and had some great ideas to help us along. Everyone was dancing the whole night and we even had a dance off!! I would recommend Jimmy Davenport to everyone!!

Jimmy D is awesome. He's a great DJ and really professional and easy to get along with. He played great music at the wedding. We had two planning sessions with him before the big day and that really helped us to get everything in order. He's great at helping to pick music and knows a great deal about music in general. I changed all my ceremony music at the last minute and he was great about it! I totally recommend Jimmy Davenport!

Jim Davenport was exceptional. Jim had everyone on the dance floor in a matter of seconds! Two of my friends liked him so much that they are using him for their wedding! He played a mix of music that everyone enjoyed, and never tried to steel the show. He made our wedding a ton of fun!

we loved our DJ. I was able to meet with him a few weeks before the ceremony and go over the playlist. We wanted a mix of 40's big band, some R&B and some country. He did such a great job we had people asking us for a copy of the playlist 3 years after our wedding! It was wonderful. Our party lasted until 1 a.m.

Jimmy Davenport is a great DJ. He has a good personality, is very professional, and related well with all of our guests. One thing he is NOT--cheesey! He is very creative and helpful. Jimmy really put forth extra effort at our wedding. All of our guests danced and had such a great time. After our wedding, many people asked me for his information so that they could have him at their upcoming wedding or social events.

Elliot was AMAZING! He provided us with a detailed timeline well in advance before our big day and was very attentive to our unique music requests. We used Jimmy Davenport - and he was fantastic. The man really knew his stuff. He knows every type of music possible. He had great advice to help us through the planning phase and great ideas of activities and interactive participation with the guests to keep the crowd going throughout the night even during dinner. He was wonderful and a complete joy to work with.

We had an atypical first dance that incorporated a flash mob from a few of our more dance happy guests and Jimmy was just as excited to incorporate our vision for that dance as we were and our friends were. He really helped make it a good night, and had the experience and know how with the music and organizing the crowd to keep things flowing perfectly.

We had had Jeff Marcus as our wedding and reception DJ. He was awesome! Everyone said he was the best wedding DJ they have ever seen. The dance floor was always full with people and he always played great music. Mr. Marcus adapted very well, ie there was one genre we asked him to play and no one responded so he found the music that appealed to everyone. Mr. Marcus dresed in a tux and looked very nice.

The price was very reasonable and we were overall impressed with Citron Sound and Jeff Marcus!

Jeff was great! Everyone at my reception said that the DJ was great. I would reccomend him to one of my friends. He played music for all of the different age groups and kept the party going.

We used Elliot Mogerman as our Wedding DJ, contracted through Citron Sound. Elliot's performance the day of our wedding was mostly great, although there were some differences from our original plan. This rating combines our thoughts on Elliot and "Citron Sound".

Quality of Service: He did a fantastic job organizing our getaway despite us not having a solid plan, and ran a trivia game for our dinner dismissal despite that being a potentially unusual request. People danced all night! Messed up anniversary dance structure, though.

Responsiveness: Elliot responded to some e-mails immediately, which was great, and agreed to a Skype interview with us since we were planning our wedding from out-of-town. Several times e-mail responses were not received, however. Moreover, editing the timeline proved to be a challenge (files were sent in .pdf, and modified changes were not always incorporated).

Professionalism: Elliot's e-mails were sometimes hard to decipher due to a lack of spelling and grammatical consistency. The night before our wedding I received an e-mail at about 11 PM asking to resend our edited first dance song because he lost it (this was followed by an e-mail saying he found it, but still caused concern). Jon Citron blamed his secretary for an error on our legal contract in an early discussion, and cashed but did not record reception of our second check (causing pretty real concern when our DJ asked us for our balance during our last dance of the night). This was resolved via an email after the fact.

Value: While this was not our cheapest option, compared to the other Wedding DJs we interviewed Elliot was the most friendly and warm DJ we encountered. Based solely on the day-of performance, we would say that the upgrade to Elliot was worth it.

Flexibility: Elliot incorporated many of our requests, playing the right songs for the important points.

I went through this company as a referral however I had a less than stellar experience. The actually ceremony and reception were fantastic and everyone had a good time. But getting in touch with them prior was a nightmare. The first DJ assigned to me was fired and the second was not good at getting back to me in a timely manner. Good for the party but the hassle and stress prior were not worth it in my opinion.

We booked our wedding DJ through this vendor. On the wedding day the DJ played the wrong songs for the entrance of the bridal party amongst other things. When we finally found the time to contact this vendor to voice our disappointment in their services that day, this vendor questioned the length of time it took for us to reach out about this issue. He turned the situation to be a "he said she said" situation. The DJ also painted the picture to his boss that we were asking for extra services and did not want to pay. Their contract did not indicate a timeline in which a client is supposed to post reviews or express opinions about their performance on the wedding day. This vendor also thinks that meeting with any vendor (such as an event/wedding coordinator) up to 8 times in a one year span of planning is too excessive. I did not think it is possible for a DJ to royally screw up a section of wedding as much as this DJ did. See examples below

Bridal Couple 1==DJ was suppose to play “Fuse” ==DJ actually played “Will you marry me”==wrong song

Bridal Couple 2==DJ was suppose to play “Personally”==DJ actually played “Party rock”==wrong song(not even an African song)

Bridal Couple 3==DJ was suppose to play “Olu Maintain”==DJ actually played “Konkai makossa”==wrong song

Bridal Couple 5==DJ was suppose to play “O’koningana” ==DJ actually played Unknown song, then switches to O’koningana in the middle of the couple dancing

Bride & Groom==DJ was suppose to play “Alingo” by P square ==DJ actually played “Will you marry me” by Prince Chinedu Nwadike==Played the same song as bridal couple 1== can’t believe DJ didn’t even get this one correctly

Did not think it was that hard to follow instructions, especially since this vendor had commented about the DJ as quoted: “He's too good, too experienced, and too proven to have been equated with a 0 rating from anyone.”
If you are looking for a DJ to play typical African songs for your wedding, we would not recommend

We had a very bad experience with Citron Sound. First, the DJ did not set up the microphone for the readers at our wedding so no one heard them. Then he didn't have our song list-no father/daughter song, no mother/son song, my husband had to take time out of the wedding and tell him all the songs. He also did not have the list of the wedding party to do the introductions, which ended up taking 10 minutes for him to write everything down which made us late into getting into our actual wedding. We didn't think it could get worse, but it did. We had asked if we could provide a song list for the DJ to play from and Citron said no problem. We went over the list with the DJ a few times and he had all the songs and no issues, but when we started the wedding he had them all wrong. He played fast music instead of light jazz during dinner, played his own songs he wanted instead of the ones we picked out, and there was a point from dinner to dancing that he didn't play any music at all. We were soo disappointed with the professionalism and did not think that DJing was that difficult. It really put a damper on our wedding reception. When we told the owner what had happened he basically said sorry for the microphone and stated that the DJ received a compliment from a random guest and that that was good enough for him. Enough said...don't waste your time or money, they were awful.
