  The best cake I have ever eaten. Joe makes all his cakes from scratch and it shows. We also put his chocolates at the tables and they were a hit. Make sure you take the time to taste his creations. Joe's cake beats the rest hands down.

  Our wedding & groom's cake came from Chocolate Specialties by Joe & they were not only delicious, but they looked absolutely stunning. Your wedding cake says a lot about the theme & atmosphere of your wedding and it's very important to hire someone who not only makes the cake(s) look good, but also makes them taste divine. Joe Higgins is a fabulous chocolatier & a very friendly, dependable & professional man. He made the cakes exactly like we had pictured & his prices were extremely reasonable. We would hire him again in a second for any special occasion cake.

  Joe is amazing!!! He is truly a pleasure to work with and so flexible. I gave him 2 pictures of what my daughter wanted her cake to look like and he delivered! He was terrific with advice and guidance on the different cakes and fillings for each layer. He truly takes a personal interest to make sure you get what you want on such a special day and goes the extra mile to deliver. The cake was amazing and everyone stated it was the best cake they had ever had. My husband who hates cake even had a second slice. There was barely a slice left! You will not be disappointed with Joe!!!

  Joe's cake was amazing. He is so willing to do whatever the bride and groom want. Any filling you can think of, Joe will do. He gives practical information on what will work and what isn't such a great idea, but in the end, he will do whatever makes you happy. My husband was absolutely thrilled with the cake, too. He kept talking about it being "a bad ass cake" AND it tasted amazing! It got rave reviews from the guests--moist and delicious. As far as the design, we gave Joe pictures, told him what we liked, and he delivered. Luckily, some of the guests saved us some cake because it was gone. We couldn't have been more pleased with our wedding cake.

  Joe is such a professional , he is so fun to work with , knows what he is doing, our cake was super, just delicious, all the guests couldnt get enough of it, it tasted perfect not like the store bought ones !!! We were very surprised how inexpensive our wedding cake turned out to be, he is such a talented man he definately has the thumbs up , also his cookies were devine, you wont be disappointed!!!

  The cake tasted excellent. Joe was very nice and prompt in all his phone calls and emails. I went with Joe becuase the cake tasted the best. I was nervous about the decoration of the cake though. A shaky hand when doing piping is the best way to explain it. Our cake was made in three square tiers, with ribbon around each bottom layer, and piped buttercream to make each square look like a boxed present with ribbon around it. If we were to choose again i would have had him use real ribbon for the decoration on each square too. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't perfect. The lines were a bit squiggly here and there and it was noticed. But the taste and flavor made up for it, I wish I would have eaten more. I would go with Joe but I wouldn't have him do any piping. The other perk, we get a free cake on our anniversary! No frozen yuckiness!
