  Charles Glenn Band were essential to the success of our wedding. From the time they started, the dance floor never emptied. Charles Glenn is a true performer and interacts with the crowd to keep them going. All members of the band are multi-talented and a such a pleasure to work with. All interactions with their agent and office were extremely professional and efficient. We're so thankful that they were a part of our big day and would recommend them for any event!

  The Charles Glenn Group will change the way you think about wedding bands!

  Look no further…you have found your wedding band!!! The Charles Glenn Group was the highlight of our wedding reception. Booking them through Contemporary Productions was simple and very straightforward. Their manager, Peter Schankmann, really knows and understands his clients and will always find you the perfect fit. Both Peter and his assistant, Gretchen, were prompt, flexible, and communicative. Around a month prior to the wedding, we had to fill out a thorough, but clear, wedding form for the band, which they adhered to perfectly. The band was able to accommodate several special requests and we understood what our entertainment would look like for our reception well in advance. The manager set up trust and the band delivered!
  
  I work in entertainment so I was skeptical if we could find an incredible band at our budget. I really wanted fantastic musicians and performers that were more than just a cover band. I often find at weddings that I end up just wanting to hear the original song because the band can’t deliver. What sets a wedding band apart is their ability to make popular music their own. So when I was saw that the LEGEND, Charles Glenn, had a group and it was in our budget, I was floored. My partner and I had high expectations from his previous work in the St. Louis community and very well put together promo reel. The man is one in a million.
  
  The Charles Glenn Group delivered EVEN MORE THAN WE HOPED. We were excited about Charles Glenn, but every single member of that band were incredible musicians in their own right. Star power all around. They kept the dance floor moving, had seamless transitions, and innovative arrangements. We discovered that most of the set, wasn’t in fact set, but based off of the energy and pulse of the room, which allowed the band to tailor its performance our group. It was a sign of true artisanship.
  
  We prioritized live music because some of our most favorite memories at weddings were on the dance floor. At the end of the night, we had a full dance floor and several of our guests came up to us to say that “this was the best wedding band they’ve seen”. No matter your taste in music, The Charles Glenn Group will change the way you think about wedding bands.

  Charles is AMAZING! Such a nice guy and an absolutely incredible performer. He had my guests up and on the dance floor the entire night. He also has an incredible repertoire of music. He already knew every song I wanted.

  Charles Glenn Band was amazing at my August 2013 wedding! They had everyone dancing all night long and their charisma was infectious. Definitely the best band in St. Louis!

  If you want to find a band and know before they play at your ceremony that it will be the best band ever, choose Charles Glenn Band. We had them play at our wedding and it was the best investment we could have made. All of our guests had a wonderful time and when guests were not on the dance floor they were standing around the dance floor watching the band and the other guests dancing. By far the best band you can choose in St. Louis.

  Our three hundred sixty-five person wedding was incredible. The flowers were lavishly arranged, the tables were stunningly set, the chairs were elegantly wrapped, and the cake was beautifully displayed. But the real success of the party rested in the hands and the Voice of Charles Glenn, who truly made the evening a success. His high quality performance, the band's outstanding talent, and his soulful voice filled the room with energy and liveliness. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire evening. The band's large repertoire was perfect for our wide range of guests, from their Rock 'n' Roll to their Sinatra swing to Motown. Both of us still receive compliments on "our wedding band" and our wedding was months ago! Through their luminous vocals, exceptional instrumentation, and outstanding liveliness, the Charles Glenn Group captured our hearts that evening, and for that we are truly grateful. We wouldn't have changed a thing."

  We hired My Friend Mike to perform at our Wedding and were very happy with them. They are very professional and truly knew how to entertain our guests. They have a play list that will satisfy all age groups.

  Overall we were very happy with the music provided by Charles Glenn and
  his band. While there were a few hiccups, the overall quality of the
  performance was worth it.
  
  In terms of the music itself, we were generally quite satisfied. The
  band sounded great, had a fun repertoire, and kept our guests
  entertained and dancing without being cheesy. At our wedding, the band consisted of Charles Glenn himself (vocals and keys), a female vocalist, and then guitar, bass, and drums. If we had it to do again we would have opted for a horn section instead of the extra vocalist (see below).
  
  The problems we had with the band arose because of poor communication between the manager and the band. (Charles Glenn is managed by Contemporary Productions.) During the planning process my wife's mother was only allowed to talk to the manager, never directly to the band. This resulted in a few misunderstandings that negatively impacted the band's performance.
  
  One surprise for us was that our first dance was done to recorded music,
  rather than having the band play the song. We were told that the band
  could learn one special request for the wedding. Despite making the
  request to the manager several months in advance and getting confirmation from the manager, the band didn't learn the song for us. The band wasn't aware of that or any of the other requests we had made to the manager either (songs on their listed repertoire that we wanted to be played at other points of the reception, e.g. father-daughter dance). Luckily, Charles Glenn asked about our first song when he first arrived, or we wouldn't have even gotten the recorded version.
  
  Despite the fact that my mother-in-law frequently told the manager
  that we wanted to have plenty of swing music, and the fact that we
  requested that a particular swing piece from their playlist be performed
  during the reception (because it was a grandparent's favorite song),
  Charles Glenn told us at the reception that he couldn't play that song
  (or many of their other swing tunes) because they didn't have horns. We
  feel like the manager should have informed us about this constraint
  given our stated preferences.
  
  The last bit of miscommunication involved one of the view very strong
  preferences my wife held throughout the planning process: she did not
  want us or the wedding party to be officially announced during the
  reception. Again, this was made clear to the manager but apparently
  didn't get communicated to Charles Glenn, and so we sat through a round of introductions that we explicitly didn't want.
  
  The overall quality of the music and the charisma of Charles Glenn
  himself made for a great wedding reception, and I wouldn't hesitate to
  recommend booking him and his band to perform for your wedding. Be
  careful, though, that you, the manager, and the band are on the same
  page before the reception. If you double check instrumentation,
  live-vs-recorded music for special requests, and special instructions
  for the MC duties, you'll be thrilled with the music at your event.
