    We are very happy to what we saw and the help and flexibility that they are willing to give us. The great room is nice and big to have both there

    We had our reception in the fireside lounge of centerplace and we rented another room to get ready in. Everythign turned out perfect and they were more than willing to work with us on times that we needed rooms. They were great!

    If they have your date available take it! Carol was fabulous to work with and Brandon goes out of his way to make sure everything goes smoothly! Only hiccup was the wedding/reception downstairs ran over and delayed the staff from helping out upstairs....but in the interim they took down the arbor decorations for us and had them all ready to pack up...Thankyou!!

    The weekend staff did a wonderful job setting up for the event and accommodated our every need. We had attended events before in their larger event room and it turned out great. Our event was in their upstairs location and it was beautiful. We had access to everything we needed and the facility was just large enough for our needs.

    Centerplace was beautiful for pictures by the waterfall. The outdoor ceremony ended up being perfect. The ballroom allowed for great party size. Overall great place to have a wedding if you want the feeling of both indoor and outdoor.

    We had our ceremony and reception in the Fireside Lounge this spring. Originally we had hoped to have an outside wedding, on the lawn. Everything was set and 15 minutes before go time it started pouring! The staff was quick and got everything cleared out of our reception area, moved all of the chairs and archway into the room, and had us read to go only 20 minutes later! Then tore the entire ceremony site down and had our reception going in less than 10 minutes!
    The staff was attentive, caring, and extremely helpful in all aspects! I would highly reccommend them as a less expensive venue with more value than most!

    Overall I had a great experience with CenterPlace. But, when scheduling our meeting with the coordinator they had zero flexibility. They literally only had on day in the possible three weeks to meet and my husband had to miss a full 2 days of college courses to make the trip over and I wasn't able to make it at all. The coordinator also messed up and didn't confirm our rehearsal date and time so the front desk had no idea we were going to be there. It was like coy that the space was available for rehearsal when we arrived. Other than that though this venue is really great. If you go with them be away that you have to use their caterer, who is fabulous by the way. I would also recommend contacting them to schedule the in person meeting way in advance to ensure you will actually be able to get a time that works.

    There are a lot of limitations unfortunately. This place is designed to be for the people of the city, but I didn't always feel that they were giving me options. There was one or two ways to do it and that was it. There were several things we wanted for our wedding and we either were not able to do it, or we could do it with a big price. We were limited to one caterer, which was a great caterer but didn't quite have the food we had in mind and with the price we could afford. We were able to eventually use another caterer, but it was difficult. It was a very gorgeous place to get married and the surrounding areas yielded a huge variety of pictures!

    Horrible!! They were not flexible, the 'wedding planner' was incredibly unprofessional and we still haven't gotten our deposit back! I would NOT recommend this place!

    We were extremely displeased with the lack of professionalism and discourtesy we encountered at Centerplace as our chosen Wedding Venue. We actually discovered staff eating our centerpieces (they were apples), telling our guests to leave (even though we still had an hour of purchased time before cleanup was even scheduled to begin..the topper being that cleanup was also an hour we had to pay for), and one staff member even had the audacity to exclaim to my mom how good our cake was! The tone and manner in which our questions were answered was nothing short of rude and full of disdain. I work in customer service and would never dream of treating my customers in the manner in which we were constantly treated by the staff of Centerplace. The communication is extremely poor between all members of the staff. Everyone tells you a different answer and then treats you as if its your fault because something either wasn't communicated or was communicated incorrectly. I can't even begin to describe all of the hassle we were put through dealing with the "Award Winning" event center. A few examples include, having to use my parents portable karaoke machine for sound amplification because as the grandmothers were being seated a staff member threatened us that if it began to rain they would stop our ceremony and remove their speaker and microphone, which "were included" with our ceremony purchase. To save ourselves the embarassment of having our ceremony interrupted by the removal of a speaker, we did it ourselves before they had an excuse to cause a scene. To make things better, they didn't even have extension cords long enough to power their own speaker at their ceremony site. Thankfully, my parents brought some with the back up plan (the karaoke machine) that we made work. Keep in mind they didn't even mention the removal of the speaker at the first sign of rain until we were SEATING THE GRANDPARENTS. They also sent my Husband away to retrieve a check because he wanted to pay in cash, which they had accepted cash the last time he was in. There were numerous "policy changes" and we were caught up in the middle of the whole thing. No one could tell us right, left, up or down and all of it was our fault. What a nightmare!! Save yourself the trouble; it's not worth it.
