Greg from Carl Alan helped us create the flowers of my dreams for our September 2024 wedding. Instead of the typical fall colors I chose a sunset color scheme for the end of summer (pinks, oranges, yellow). They turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Greg & the Carl Alan team were extremely responsive, professional but kept it fun, detailed, and really made what can be a daunting (and pricey) task pretty enjoyable. After reaching out and sending in our vision board, about 7-8 months out we met with Greg in the office and he had a fully detailed outline for us with pictures and prices all ready to walk through and discuss. He took us through the warehouse where they have almost every hardware option you could think of! We went through and picked which ones with liked and then we were on our way. Then about a month and a half out he reached out to start to nail down the finer details, we had another phone call to answer the logistical questions and it was as easy as that! And then came the wedding day...... everyone tells you that no one notices the flowers. Well they are wrong. The compliments on the flowers were endless. People were absolutely blown away. The bouquets were perfect, the colors were SPOT ON, and the centerpieces just pulled the room together like no other. I'm so glad I went with Carl Alan I would do it over again 1000x.

Everything was BEAUTIFUL!
We had a wonderful experience with Carl Alan! They worked to fit everything within our budget and really helped our vision come alive. Our floral designer, Greg, was such a treat to work with. He was very personable and so knowledgeable! Greg picked out so many options for us from flowers in the bouquets to vases for centerpieces and was very responsive and receptive to our choices. When we stepped into our venue, we were amazed at how all of the decor and center pieces ended up. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We got Married on 9/29/23 at Manayunk Brewing Company and we were blown away by the floral arrangements from Nina at Carl Alan. From the very start of planning it felt like we shared the same vision for the florals from the bouquets to the centerpieces. She worked with us to design the flowers for custom aisle arrangements we had made and we received so many compliments on all of the flowers at our wedding. The perfect pop of color!
Carl Alan did an amazing job with our wedding flowers. Greg was extremely communicative, answering questions and always willing to update designs and ideas. We had to do a little extra communication a few days before as it seemed like some of our ideas were lost in the shuffle BUT Greg came through on the day-of and everything matched our vision perfectly. We were floored when we saw the final flowers and had to stop ourselves from taking our entire sweetheart table setup home with us.

My husband and I got married on 5/5/23 and hired Carl Alan as our florist. We had such a great experience with them. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we had asked for. Greg helped us throughout our planning process and he was awesome and a lot of fun to work with. We highly recommend them for your next event. From the very beginning the team at Carl Alan were incredible partners in bringing my vision to life! With just sending them a few inspo pics from Pinterest and a quick phone call, their proposal was dead with what I described. They were also incredibly flexible and help us develop a beautiful plan that worked with our budget and were flexible when I wanted to add some different flowers to the mix - incredible service from beginning to end. When I walked into our ballroom and saw my bouquet in the morning my mouth dropped both times - I was in awe - so incredibly beautiful and just how I dreamt it! I cannot say enough positive things about Carl Alan. We worked with Greg and he was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He was so incredibly patient with all of our emails going back and forth since we kept changing our minds about what we wanted. He was responsive and extremely accommodating. Before the ceremony, I caught a glimpse of the setup and I cried at how beautiful it all was. It was just perfect! When we had our room reveal, we both gasped at how gorgeous everything was. It was everything we wanted, plus so much more. I'm getting my bouquet preserved because it was just too beautiful not to. The wonderful people setting everything up were on time and extremely professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We worked with Greg from Carl Alan who was an absolute fire cracker from Day 1. He was thrilled with our color scheme and provided pictures from his portfolio and combined them with my Pinterest page to ensure my vision came to life. What I loved most about Carl Alan (above other florists I looked into) was their willingness to repurpose florals from my ceremony in my reception. This helped to control costs but also ensured we had vibrant florals throughout our day. What was most special was their creative and unique designs. Everyone was talking about our hanging chandelier above the dancefloor. The florals made our wedding feel bright, upscale, and truly fun!

I really struggled to find a florist who understood my vision and my budget- until we found Carl Alan. When we met with Chris, he very quickly understood what I was looking for and was very willing to make compromises that fit my style and my budget. His proposal described everything I had been trying to explain to the other florists along the way. Everything was beautiful, and no hiccups whatsoever- because our wedding was during Lent, our ceremony flowers had to be removed from the Church and transported to the reception venue- I didn't even notice the transition take place. They even sent me photographs of the bouquets the afternoon before the wedding to make sure I liked them- and adjusted the flowers in my bouquet at my request. Highly recommended!

I am not good with flowers. Really. I have no idea about anything when it comes to flowers and centerpieces so when I made an appointment at Carl Alan to discuss our wedding I went in literally thinking that I’d have no idea what to say to them. Fear not. It’s as if the designer went inside my brain and drew out what my vision was without me even saying too much. Carl Alan Florist were absolutely instrumental in making my wedding day the most beautiful day of my life. When I walked into our reception room and saw the beautiful displays they had made I gasped. I never thought my wedding could be so sophisticated, so stunning, and so OUT OF THIS WORLD. From day one, they were all so kind and generous with their time and effort, and everything, from the bouquets to the tables, were beyond amazing.
I asked them to make a bouquet for me and my mother, and they gave us a matched pair that made my mother tear up. About a month before the wedding I realized I had given them the wrong table count and forgotten to include our head table for our wedding party. Carl Alan resolved the issue with no problem - I had one phone call with our point person Alexa and she gave us her ideas and the problem was resolved!
They were kind and considerate of our budget, and., despite our budget being small, their ideas remained breathtaking. Carl Alan is the best choice for flowers for your wedding - big or small - and I will be forever thankful I chose them for our big day!

There are not enough positive words to describe our experience with the Carl Alan team. Vito, Bobby & the entire team made us feel so taken care of from day one. Vito pulled a vision out of my head that I could not articulate, and it came out perfect. As someone who know nothing about flowers they immediately put me at ease at our very first meeting with them. They made the vision I didnt even know I had come to life. Creative, high end design for any budget
We cannot speak highly enough about Vito Russo and the other members of the Carl Alan team with whom we worked on our wedding day flowers. From the initial planning session with Vito to the mock-up meeting to our actual wedding day, we were continually blown away by their creativity and floral talent. While we had a more limited budget, they never made us feel cheap, they worked within our budget, and they always made us feel like one of their high-end customers. Better yet, they created stunning floral pieces that our guests could take home at the end of the night so our guests continued to enjoy our flowers even after the wedding was over. We highly recommend them!

I chose Carl Alan LLC after meeting with one of the florist designers, Vito, and as soon as I met him and the team, I knew they had to be apart of my wedding. The team made each one of my flower dreams a reality and I was over the moon when I saw my flowers for the first time. The team really took their time with me to understand what it was I wanted, and took the time to take care of each one of their creations. Talking to them, scheduling appointments, meetings with the designers, everything about my experience with them was so easy, reliable and AMAZING to say the least. They came and set up the flower centerpieces on the day of (because lets face it, that's the last thing I wanted to do on my wedding day) and even came after the reception and did the clean up! I couldn't have been happier with this company. 10/10 I would recommend.

the best floral design for a small wedding
After having contacted with several floral designers for our small, intimate wedding, we finally reached out to Bobby from Carl Alan Floral Designs. Bobby and Alexandria have been very professional and understanding from the very first day. Unlike other places that set a minimum budget, Carl Alan worked with our budget and created wonders. We had no problems with the setup and their staff worked seamlessly with our hotel. Because we had an intimate wedding, we also had a different table setup, yet Alexandria perfectly figured out what we needed for our special day. All our guests were very impressed by the quality and richness of the design. It certainly elevated the ambiance, and the venue looked very elegant and modern. Carl Alan Floral Designs certainly deserves its well earned reputation in Philadelphia. We are looking forward to finding out how their designs look on our wedding photos!

Vito and the Carl Alan team were a pleasure to work with from Day 1. They listened to my vision and worked to execute it. They were extremely responsive, which was very important to me, throughout the entire planning process. I walked into my ceremony room before the ceremony began and was completely blown away by how beautiful the room looked. Then, when it came time for the reception, again I was amazed. I would highly recommend Vito and his team for every bride that wants their fairytale wedding to be executed to perfection!

“What are your colors ?”
That was one of the questions I got fairly often during this process and I really had no idea. Fortunately I had chosen to work with the amazing team from Carl Alan. First of all, walking into their studio was like going through the doorway into a Disney film. Colors and patterns and beauty ! Enthusiastic people who really enjoy their work. Check, Check and Check. As I said, I had no idea exactly what I wanted but Alexa sat with me and made great suggestions and the end result was absolutely stunning. I loved my bouquet. The flowers for the tables and for the cake were just perfect. I got to meet the Akan himself who was just a delight. I love supporting a local, small-family business. They really were fantasy start to finish. I highly recommend.
PS they provided flowers for my hair. I felt like a princess !!!

Made My Dream Wedding a Reality
For our wedding and our choice in style, Gatsby/glam/traditional/ we felt that flowers were pivotal to our wedding and therefore the most important vendor. Our request was to have phaelanopsis and dendrobium orchids, calla lilies, tulips, and vandella roses all while being available for the month of January and in our price range. After visiting two other floral vendors who said that requesting those two types of orchids, specially during January, would be near impossible and would cost an astronomical amount of money I was feeling defeated and ready to settle on a different vision. However, when I stumbled upon Carl Alan and began reading the overwhelming amount of positive reviews regarding their creativity, flexibility and floral connections, I immediately made an appointment. Our wedding floral designer was Katelynn Schmidt; a true professional who found a way through a technique called table scaping in which she placed strategically the various flowers so it would look and appear I had the actual type of flowers and the amount of florals I initially asked for but in a way that was realistic for my price range. Katelynn worked above and beyond to make my vision come alive instead of making me see a vision she had in mind. My wedding turned out beautiful and the flowers were very Gatsby in how grand and romantic it all turned out!

Working with Vito it was great. From the very beginning he understood what I wanted for our wedding day in terms of flowers. His advice makes us feel even better, you notice right away that they care about your wedding and they are not just selling flowers. They allow me to make changes and to make sure that I was having what I really wanted for our wedding day. His team was following up with me all the time to make sure I was getting the perfect flowers for my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids, boutonnières, corsages and centerpieces. The flowers arrived in time and all of them were stunning!!!! I felt so happy with their service. Every detail was perfect. They exceed my expectations way beyond! Vito was the best! I met him at a bridal expo in Philly specifically looking for a florists, Vito was the only one there. He made such a great impression that I booked an appointment with Carl Alan the next week. He remembered me from the expo! I told him what I wanted and he worked with the idea. Telling me what was good and what wasn't a good idea. I originally wanted all high's as my centerpiece, and he could have said yeah go for it and taken the money since highs costs way more than the lows, but he told me that it will look better with highs and lows and that is what I did. Vito showed me a sample of someone else's centerpieces when I met him a month before our wedding and we had a couple of doubts that our centerpiece would not come out nice. But after walking into the ballroom, I teared up cause it was beautiful. The centerpieces exceeded our expectations. My bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquet were beautiful. I asked for a hidden Mickey and I got it! Everyone at Carl Alan was such a treat to work with. Also thanks for Kathleen for all the back and forth with me. Carl Alan himself also made two appearances with my meetings with Vito!! Overall, Carl Alan is the florist to pick!!!! You will not regret it!

Our experience with Carl Alan was extraordinary. Carl Alan Florists are professional, consistently available, and wonderfully talented. The entire team always made themselves available and worked around my schedule (even on days when they were not actually open!), which was especially important for us, since we were planning our wedding from NYC.
Kate worked incredibly closely with me, responding quickly and helpfully to my frequent emails requesting a tweak here, an addition there, and helped me to put together the wedding of my dreams. On top of Kate being unbelievably professional and talented (she knew the history of each and every flower she pulled for me), she was also able to work around my crazy, ever-changing budget and desires. Kate was especially great at working with us to make sure that we got the most bang out of our buck; and helping us to have every inch of our wedding venue tastefully decorated: whether that meant a big and beautiful centerpiece for the tables, or tasteful rose petals for the cocktail tables. Kate was always able to take my suggestions and make them even more beautiful than I could have hoped for. Finally, the florists worked tirelessly on the day of the wedding; so much that I didn't have any worries or concerns about the flowers on the day of. They were all a pleasure to work with, and I have already personally recommended them to several of my friends getting married in Philadelphia.

Vito at Carl Alan turned my wedding into a fairy tale. The bouquet was so special with succulents. The Chuppah was exactly how my mother wanted it to be and the centerpieces were fabulous. He even had floating candles at the back of the venue that just added to the ambiance. The room looked so spectacular. We kept on flopping on our centerpieces and the table cloths and Vito worked with us and was very supportive. It was such a fun and wonderful experience and so worth it.

From our first consultation with Vito we knew we were in good hands. It felt like we were meeting with an old friend, he listened and made suggestions as necessary without being pushy. The responsiveness from the Carl Alan team throughout the planning process was rapid and helpful. They allowed for changes as needed and overall made the process very easy. Even though we had a classic white flower motif (sometimes viewed as boring); our chuppah, centerpieces, and bouquets were incredibly beautiful. Highly recommended!

Where do I even start?! Words cannot explain how grateful I am for everything Vito has done. Vito and the team at Carl Alan made my wedding look absolutely beautiful. I felt like I was in a fairytale wedding. From the very beginning of the planning process, Vito and his team made me feel like a part of the family. They made me feel super comfortable, and listened to all of my thoughts and ideas. Vito was amazing to work with and executed everything perfectly! I cannot rave enough about Carl Alan Floral Designs! They created the most stunning bouquets and centerpieces for our wedding. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the flowers were- I know some people think flowers are not as important to spend on, but it was worth every penny to us. It truly transformed our venue, at the Hamilton Garden into what we had envisioned for our day. From our very first meeting, Kate went over every last detail of what we wanted for our wedding and we were so impressed with how organized and detail oriented she was that we booked right away. We could not be more happy that we did. She was so organized and on top of everything and made the whole process so seamless and enjoyable.

My husband (!!!) and I are SO HAPPY that we chose Carl Alan Floral Designs for our wedding. Everything came out beautifully, and the whole team was a pleasure to work with. Especially Vito! I don’t have any pictures right now of how they decorated the church, but I walked in and was blown away. They really did help to capture my vision. We had an amazing experience working with Vito at Carl Alan for our wedding! We met with Vito initially months and months before our wedding to go over what we were looking for. I don't know anything about flowers, but I brought a few pictures and had colors in mind, and Vito spent so much time with us at that first meeting getting to know the style we were hoping for. I don't know how Vito did it but based on that one meeting, he literally brought to life a vision that I never could have described on my own. Months after our first meeting, we showed up for a second meeting and Vito surprised us with these beautiful samples of our centerpieces. He remembered every single detail we had discussed from our first meeting months prior - it was everything we could have imagined and more! Vito was also very respectful of the budget we had in mind and was honest about areas where we could save money which we really appreciated. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. From the centerpieces, to the chairs, tables, and linens, to the Chuppah, everything was so beautiful and it all came together so smoothly- we didn't have to worry about a thing! No matter your style or budget, the team at Carl Alan will definitely work with you to bring your vision to life!

I went to three other florists before coming to Carl Alan. And all three rushed me and barely took any time with me. We spent 2 hours with Kate and she went over every little detail and I even took a little mini bouquet home with the flowers she showed us that day! One of the best decisions I made for our wedding was going with Carl Alan! Definitely worth the price and they helped get down to my price range!

Vito, the florist we worked with, was so easy to work with, understanding of our budget, listened to my ideas/vision, and brought it to life in the most stunning way. From the bouquets to the center pieces, everything far exceeded my expectations. A couple things that were incredibly helpful were that they sent me photos of the bouquets the night before the wedding to make sure I liked them and they gave us a couple extra boutonnieres in case something went wrong (which it didn't!). These small touches made me know they were taking care of us and wanted our wedding to be the best it could be. I could not have asked for a better floral design team for my wedding! They completely understood my vision and even sent me pictures the day before my wedding to make sure I was 100% happy with the final product. When I asked them to adjust one thing they did it right away and sent me another picture. All of the florals at my wedding (including the bouquets and table-scapes) were absolutely perfect. Unlike other floral teams I had met with, I felt listened to and understood (and not stupid for not knowing all of the fancy terms!). For any event definitely book with Carl Alan Floral Designs!

I'm so glad that we went with Carl Alan! From the beginning, they were great to work with. When my MIL and I went in for our consultation, Vito had already pulled down my pictures from Pinterest and put together sample table arrangements based on that. I didn't have to change a thing! He nailed it without even meeting me. He was really helpful in asking me questions that further defined my vision and thoughtfully giving advice that helped me to achieve my vision for the day. They texted me photos of the bouquets the day before just to make sure that I was okay with everything. On the day of, everything arrived where it was supposed to be early. Absolutely nothing bad to say about them - so glad I chose them. Would definitely recommend.

Working with Katelynn was an absolute delight! I am not a flower person, and while I had some vague vision in my head of what I wanted the flowers to look like, I wasn’t finding anyone who was able to translate that vision into reality. The first time I met with Kaitlynn, we spent almost four hours together (to that point, I’d only spent 30-60min with florists), going through all kinds of inspiration, looking at different vases, candelabras, and pillars, and finally, pulling all kinds of flowers from the coolers to put together a bouquet that I got to take home! It was the first time in the course of wedding planning that I felt really confident that everything was going to be perfect. I loved that their package included a sample appointment (rare, from what we saw elsewhere), and a few days before the wedding, I looked at my phone to see picture texts of my bouquet (spoiler: it was stunning). I can’t thank Katelynn and the Carl Alan team for all their help and for making my wedding look exactly the way I wanted it: wintery (but not too wintery), sparkly (but not gaudy), and bathed in candlelight. Would recommend them to anyone and definitely go back if I ever need massive arrangements again!

I have to say I was intimidated to meet with Carl Alan as it was the vendor the venue had suggested and I thought it would be way out of my budget. I was blown away from the second I walked into our first meeting. They were so easy to work with within my budget while still ensuring I was getting the most important aspects of my vision. I walked into the consultation room with a table set based on my pinterest vision and it was SPOT ON! The appointment continued to wow me as they pulled out flowers to see what I liked best (I have NO floral background whatsoever!) and then sent me home with a bouquet of everything I had loved and was still thinking about. They continued to be incredible to work with during the entire planning process whether I had quick easy questions or touching base. The sample centerpiece night was so amazing! To go and see right in front of my eyes my vision come to life and envision what the ballroom was going to look like was so exciting! I received pictures of my bridesmaids and my bouquet the night before my wedding and it was all becoming so real and perfect! When my bouquet showed up the morning of my wedding I was rather disappointed in the size of it as it wasn't as we had discussed. As I was visibly upset, my Mom gave a nice quick call to Carl Alan and they sent over a designer to redo my bouquet right in my hotel room with no questions asked. We were never made to feel like it was too much to ask and they even gave a follow up phone call to make sure I was as happy as I could be with the finished product. Everything was so PERFECT! I HIGHLY recommend Carl Alan!

My step daughter got married in September. When she told me who the florist was I was a little nervous because I work at 17th and market and was not familiar with Carl Alan at all. Well magnificent is not strong enough a word to describe the absolutely stunning floral arrangements. They transformed the entire room. These flowers were extraordinary. Beautiful in every way. A little more than a month before my wedding day, we called Carl Alan to order a white gardenia for my hair. His prices were better than other local florists and his location was convenient so we went with him. The day before my wedding he called to say that he could not get gardenias anywhere and he apologized. It was disappointing, but he could get us gardenia roses which are basically identical. We agreed on that and ended the call.
He called back a short time later and said he felt terrible, and he had done some more leg work and found some gardenias in HOLLAND. He ordered some and had them fed-exed and said they would arrive by 9:00 AM on my wedding day. He only charged us the original cost (even though it was MUCH more expensive for him). He definitely went above and beyond to secure the flowers we requested. Thank you for your professionalism and commitment to customer service!!

I loved the flowers at my wedding! I learned about Carl Alan Floral Designs from the owner's daughter who works at my company. CAFD was also recommended by another co-worker. I set up an appointment and had an amazing meeting with Vito, the wedding project manager. Before the meeting, the owner and the owner's father stopped in to greet me and my family. We met for 2 hours and discussed my vision, my venue and my budget. Vito's knowledge of flowers was very impressive. I had shared some ideas before the meeting and Vito and his team shared some suggestions and alternatives. We discussed my color scheme and Vito suggested colors that would compliment my ideas. We decided to do some high and low centerpieces to create a great visual. Vito was respectful of my budget and at the end of the meeting, I knew I picked the right florists. I left there knowing the flowers would be beautiful. A few months before the wedding, I met with Vito and I was speechless when I saw the mock-up of our centerpieces. The colors were vibrant, the flower selection was breathtaking. The centerpieces were beautiful. The team at CAFD were responsive to any of my questions and promptly confirmed my payments. We decided to repurpose our high centerpieces for the ceremony. They were on beautiful glass/mirrored stands and were used to create an aisle. When I saw them, again, I was speechless. The colors, height and flower selection were unbelievable. The flowers added so much class and elegance to our venue. Seeing all of the flowers on our tables during the reception was gorgeous. The flowers made the room pop with color. The flowers created an energy of class, elegance and beauty. He sent a text a night before of my bouquets and they were stunning. Many guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were. I couldn't have been happier with the flowers at our wedding. Vito and his team implemented my vision 100%. I wanted beauty, elegance and pops of color; they delivered.

My wedding was on September 2, 2017 at the Crystal Tea Room. I wanted to thank Vito and the rest of the staff at Carl Alan Floral Designs for doing the most AMAZING job on my flowers. After looking at pictures of their work and a referral from my sister-in-law, I knew I needed to book Carl Alan Floral Design for my wedding. From the first time I met with Vito, I felt so comfortable with him and fully trusted his vision and creations. He was SO incredible to work with. I do not know many things about flowers, I just knew what I wanted my reception to look like. I left the design and planning completely up to Vito and his team. I was brought to tears at my sample appointment when I saw my dream flower arrangements and bouquets come to life right in front of my eyes. Vito was able to design the most perfect arrangements based on the “vintage romantic look” that I had set in my mind. Vito is so organized and talented at what he does. He helped me pick my linens, floorplan and all of my centerpieces based on the look I was going for. When people walked into my reception, all I heard over and over was “wow, these flowers are to die for.” Everyone complimented them and I couldn’t be happier with how the room looked on my wedding day. Vito was fantastic. I had blue lanterns that I wanted to use in my décor and Vito came up with beautiful arrangements to go around them for the tables, foyer and fireplace mantel. He also created a gorgeous full natural looking floral arch for us to be married under. He listened to my vision for the bridal bouquets and the feel of our wedding and came up with designs that far surpassed anything I had imagined. He definitely made our day magical and I highly recommend Car Alan Floral Design and Vito in particular!

I had an incredible experience with Carl Alan - especially with Vito! Unlike the other florists that I visited, I was shown real flowers in my first appointment and was given a price quote (that was half my budget!) before I left the first appointment. I really respected the fact that Vito came in at about half my budget because he easily could have padded the proposal to bring it closer to my top line (as I noticed with other floral vendors). Vito was prepared for the appointment with all of our pictures and immediately understood my vision. I was able to do a sample appointment about a month before the wedding which I appreciated because it allowed me to see the vision come to life! The flowers on my wedding day were absolutely STUNNING! Better than I could have even imagined! I could see the passion that Vito and the Carl Alan team put into my flowers and into making my reception perfect! Amazing service and amazing product! I had the HONOR of working with hands down the most amazing florist I've ever met!! From the day I met vito in person... I knew he was the guy for my wedding!!! The designers who worked with me were Vito and Heather. They were wonderful! The design was exactly what I had in mind! The theme was copper terrariums and succulents, And my bouquet matched it all. It looked classic and gorgeous! They also helped me with the wedding favors (3 inch succulents in a pot) which were a great success. We did have one misunderstanding (I asked for candles in cocktail tables which were not provided, but we took some from other tables and it was fine). I wrote the company and they refunded that part.

OMG! Simply amazing! When I first set up a consultation with Carl Alan I wasn't sure I would even be able to make them a part of my wedding budget but boy was I surprised! When we first sat down for our first consultation I already had a slight chip on my shoulder due to a previous appointment earlier that day and I was hoping that I would find that one florist who would give me everything I wanted and then some. Bingo! If you feel the same way go no further.
I met Vito and gave him my vison and color scheme and within minutes he had a bunch of different flowers in the room to help me get a visual for my dream. When I left later that afternoon I knew they were the ones. They worked within my budget and really helped bring our concept to life. I will be honest, a baseball wedding is hard to pull off especially trying to cover every last detail.
The team at Carl Alan was very nice and included me in every part of the planning process all the way up to a few days before the wedding when my flowers were put together and my vision was brought to life. If I sent an email, I received a response within hours which is great when a bride is in the heat of planning and on the brink of a meltdown! If I called, they either had someone on the phone with me right away who knew my image and was able to assist and answer any questions I had. It was a pure pleasure working with this team and my guests absolutely loved all of our flowers and centerpieces!!!
If you are looking for experienced florists who will make sure that your flowers and centerpieces are the least of your worries during your planning....seriously look no further!!!! Let them show you what it is like to receive excellent customer service and satisfaction!

Of all my wedding vendors, Carl Alan was the best across the board (and I had lots of great people working for me). Flowers were never my priority, but honestly now that my wedding is over I am still blown away every time I see a picture with the work that Vito Russo and his team did. They truly made my vision a reality and enhanced it to make everything more stunning than I ever could have imagined. They are not cheap but absolutely worth every penny spent. Communication with every team member was fantastic; nearly instantaneous. Vito even took a trip out to my venue (which was outside of the city) since he hadn't been there before to ease my mom's worries about him knowing where things should go and so that he had a better idea of the layout beforehand. Absolutely fantastic in every regard.

From the moment we met Vito, we knew that Carl Alan Floral Designs was the florist we wanted to decorate the venue for my daughter's wedding this past weekend. My wife had a vision for what she wanted, and unlike other florists. Vito used his creativity and expertise to work with my wife and make suggestions and improvements. Other florists just seem to give you what they want, but not Vito. He is truly and artist!! The flowers and color designs were truly exquisite. When we met with Vito we knew he really knew what he was doing and takes pride in his work. We came in with an idea probably different than most people come in with. Our wedding was beer themed so we wanted to incorporate hops and wheat into all of our flowers. When we told Vito what we wanted, he explained his visions and we had total confidence in his information that we knew he wouldn't disappoint. When we went to see our sample, we were totally surprised. I didn't think you could fit that many flowers and greens into a growler, but he did it and they looked awesome! Once the flowers were delivered on our wedding day, everyone was in awe. The hops looked great in the bouquets and the boutonnieres with the hops, wheat, and beer caps were exactly what we wanted. We were very happy with the final products and are so glad we picked Vito and Carl Alan!

Carl Alan Florist did an amazing job at my NYE wedding in center city Philadelphia. I looked around at florists for awhile, but after meeting with Vito, I knew I would be working with them. He made me feel comfortable, and he was able to help me stick to my budget. He did not make me feel like I had to spend more than I could afford in order to have a beautiful display on this big day. The designs were beautiful, and even though I was keeping it simple with white and gold, there was nothing plain about the designs or my bouquet. I loved my bouquet so much, and I ended up having it preserved in a shadow box so I can look at it forever. I cannot recommend Vito and Carl Alan florist any more!

They made fantastic recommendations for flowers and uplighting tailored to my style and our venue, within our budget. I very much appreciated them spending time with us to select the flowers -- which we got to see in person -- and also sending photos of the sample bouquets the night before the wedding. I requested one accommodation which they graciously made. My mom and I had met with two other florists prior to meeting with Carl Alan. While the other florists we met with were within our budget, I didn't leave with that confident feeling and questioned if they really understood what I had envisioned. Upon arriving at Carl Alan, we were scheduled to meet with our designer Vito. Let me just say, Vito is A-MAZING! I had brought a few pictures of floral arrangements, my dress, and a swatch of the color of my bridesmaids dresses. I explained to him that I envisioned my wedding being romantic and elegant, with a vintage feel. Within 5 minutes, Vito was out picking flowers and back in with a bouquet in which he created. I was wondering if he was a mind reader because it was exactly what I had imagined! Although the price initially was out of our budget, we were able to make a few changes to bring the price down a bit. My parents and I also agreed that we fully trusted and felt confident with Vito and paying the extra was well worth it. After our initial consultation, we met with Vito once more prior to the wedding to see a mock centerpiece. We wanted to make a few changes to it, and after expressing this, Vito was able to make the changes with no problem. They were also super easy to get in contact with and responsive to both email or phone. The day of wedding, Heather delivered all of our flowers to our hotel on-time and with no issues. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, centerpiece arrangements and cake flowers were all perfect! I'd highly recommend them!

What a great experience! Our flowers were gorgeous! The whole team was so great to work with. When I first met Vito, he asked for my style and immediately threw together a mock bouquet from what they already had in the shop and it was exactly what I wanted but could never do myself! The centerpieces were beautiful, and everything was delivered and taken care of perfectly! I even received a text with pictures of the bouquets the day before the wedding, and was told to please let them know if I wanted anything tweaked. Vito and the whole team at Carl Alan is AMAZING! My mom called Carl Alan in September for our NYE wedding and told them that while she knew she was calling a florist, I didn't want flowers at the wedding (it makes me sad when the flowers die...) and the Carl Alan team delivered!!
The Carl Alan team is incredibly creative and came up with these tall beautiful water-filled vase centerpieces holding sprays of silver wire on a mirrored tray with crystal candle holders. In our wildest dreams, we couldn't have envisioned such beautiful centerpieces. And then to top it off, the team also designed bouquets without flowers too! My bouquet was comprised of all metals and hanging crystals in the rounded shape of a bouquet and the bridesmaids carried long beautiful sprays of silver wire. It could not have been more perfectly NYE-themed and unique --- THANK YOU CARL ALAN!

Vito from Carl Alan was amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, including making me a new bridal bouquet on my wedding day when mine was stolen! Highly highly recommend.

I absolutley loved working with Vito and his team at Carl Alan. They really took the time to understand what I was looking for and he even got me peonies in December! The best part was the preview session and pictures a couple days before the wedding so I could see exactly what the final product would be.

Vito and the Carl Alan team were FANTASTIC!!! They truly made my wedding day flower fantasy come to life. They really know what they are talking about and will work in any budget. We got SO MANY compliments on the amazing center pieces, but the Ketubbah really stole the show. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to my friends.
